Foodwerx was absolutely fantastic. They were the first vendor we hired, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
First, I need to sing Roxanne's praises. We had an untraditional venue (a family property) and Roxanne did multiple site visits to ensure every detail of our wedding would run smoothly. She offered advice and suggestions on other aspects of our day as well as we continued to plan. Throughout the process, Roxanne became a trusted friend. On our wedding day, Roxanne ran everything seamlessly, and really, every member of the Foodwerx team was excellent.
Besides the amazing service, the food truly speaks for itself. We received so many compliments on the food, both during the wedding and to this day. The displays are enticing and the quality and flavor are unbeatable. I would recommend Foodwerx to anyone and can't wait to use them again in the future. Also, through Foodwerx, we got our cake from Sunflour Bakery, which was also amazing and we received many compliments.

We hired this catering team for our wedding, and we could not be more grateful. The food was absolutely incredible. Our guests are still talking about how hot, fresh, and delicious everything was. From start to finish, everything was handled with care and professionalism.
A huge part of what made the day so special was Roxanne, our day-of coordinator. She was truly a godsend. Her timing was flawless, her suggestions were thoughtful, and she kept everything running smoothly without making it feel rushed. She checked in with us often, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped keep us both calm throughout the day.
Roxanne took care of all the decorations and made the venue look absolutely beautiful. Everything looked exactly how I pictured it, and better. She brought our vision to life and made the space feel warm, inviting, and perfectly us.

Foodwerx brought our backyard wedding dreams to life
Choosing Foodwerx as the caterer for our backyard wedding was the best decision we could have made. Planning a backyard wedding at our home brought us many challenges and we are so grateful that we had Roxanne to help and guide us every step of the way. Roxanne made sure that we had all of the bases covered, not only for food and rentals but for every aspect of our special day. After meeting Roxanne we immediately knew that we wanted to have her as our day-of coordinator and we can confidently say that our wedding day would not have been anywhere near as flawless as it was without her coordination. To start, the food on our wedding day was absolutely spectacular. We had heard from multiple other people that the food from foodwerx was amazing and we were so happy with the outcome. On top of delicious, fresh food cooked on site, the service foodwerx provided was out of this world. There was not a moment throughout the entire night where my wife and I had an empty glass in our hands. The foodwerx staff made sure to cater to us on our day and were constantly checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. They made sure that food was set aside for us while we made the rounds speaking to guests and the staff made plates for us from our hors d’oeuvres and buffet so that we didn’t have to serve ourselves. The catering staff were kind and professional and our guests even commented on how impressed they were. Working with Roxanne was truly the best and easiest part of the wedding planning process. From start to finish she ensured that we had all of the vendors we needed, putting us in contact with the tent company, DJ, and bakery, all of which were fantastic recommendations (Ocean Tents knocked it out of the park and transformed our backyard into a wedding venue, DJ Jay Murch was incredible and had everyone dancing, and Sunflour Bakery made the most delicious wedding cake we have yet to taste! On the day of our wedding my wife and I did not have to worry about a thing - Roxanne had everything handled and really made it so that we could enjoy all of the planning and work that we had put into hosting everyone for our backyard wedding. We highly recommend foodwerx catering as the food was so delicious and if you are planning a wedding you have to have Roxanne help out on your special day. Now that the wedding is over we will miss working with her! -

From going from looking at a venue where everything was included to a venue that we needed to hire a vendor we definitely were nervous but foodwerx went ABOVE and beyond!!! From the moment we booked, Roxanne was on top of It with all the details involved with wedding planning! I thought I would be able to DIY and set up myself but I’m so glad we hired Roxanne to coordinate the day because I would’ve been lost without her! From setting up the venue to making sure we had a drink in our hands, she was on top of It !!! The food was out of this world and people still rave about It !! If we ever need a caterer for any future event we will 100000/10 use foodwerx!! Foodwerxs was a fantastic catering company to work with for our wedding, but even more so, Roxanne was the powerhouse! From start to finish, Roxanne was so helpful and kind. I (the bride) am not a wedding person; this was our second go-around planning our wedding. The first time, we couldn’t handle all the planning. Roxanne has to be an angel in disguise. As a wedding planner, she held my hand through the whole process and made it seem like a cakewalk. Our guests raved about the food's quality, and I agree that I ate GOOD! It’s not your typical wedding food; foodwerxs catering tasted like a 5-star restaurant! Long story short, great food! Roxanne and her team at Foodwerx were an absolute DREAM this year! Our wedding was on June 6 at the Camden County Boathouse and everything was simply perfect. Guests raved about the food and amazing atmosphere. A large part of atmosphere is created by the people that run your event!
A MOMENT FOR ROXANNE: I met Roxanne while touring the Boathouse. She happened to be there setting up for a wedding and I could see just from her energy that she would be a fantastic person to have with me day of the wedding. Roxanne is so much more than she is listed as; her attention to detail throughout the entire process, love for what she does, and amazing people skills are only a few of the perks you get when it comes to Roxanne. She checks in with you throughout your entire wedding process to make sure all the details come along smoothly. She connects you directly with a few crucial outside vendors which was extremely helpful. The manner in which she explains all you need while still managing to keep your mind at ease is a true talent! I'm someone who gets flustered easily with details, but Rox made everything bite-sized and seamless.
We had a large bridal party and Rox made sure they were all prepared day of! She also checked in with me and my husband throughout the wedding to make sure we ate the amazing food (which can easily slip away when you're busy talking to guests!), drank, and that we had everything we needed, all while being an actual superhero moving at lightning speed! A TRUE WEDDING EXPERT. Some of the guests even commented on how amazing she was!!
The food is fantastic and unique. (GET THE FILET MIGNON). The whole crew is fantastic. Roxanne & foodwerx are a MUST on your special day. Thank you endlessly, foodwerx!

We just wanted to take the time to thank you very much for everything you did for Rachael and Kyle’s wedding at the Camden County Boat House on March 9, 2024. The food was absolutely delicious from the appetizers to the dinner and the desserts. First, the appetizers we so good and were always hot when served and there was always a server coming around and the charcuterie board was displayed beautifully, and everything was so fresh. The dinner, what can I say, was fabulous. The salad was fresh, the brisket was so tender, the pasta was delicious, the chicken was fantastic and very moist, and the vegetables were roasted to perfection. The mashed potato bar had all the toppings needed. The dessert table was equally as good. We cannot forget our bartender – what a wonderful job, the drinks were delicious, and service was top notch, and the bartender was so friendly and engaging to our guests. Your moto “NOTHING LESS THAN PERFECTION” is spot on, it exceeded our expectations.
But I cannot forget you Roxanne, you made the day so special. Even though the weather did not cooperate with us, you made Rachael and Kyle’s dream come true. The ballroom was decorated beautifully, I never imagined it would be so stunning. You are amazing at your job, and you can tell that you genuinely care. Foodwerx should be so proud of the job you do and the way you represent the company. We could not have pulled this off without you. You made all the planning so easy, and we loved all your suggestions and were glad we listened to them. From the first. we spoke I knew we made the right choice. You were always there to help – from making sure that Kyle and Rachael had what they needed to helping with the dress mishap. And we cannot forget the suggestion of getting the beautiful picture in the rain at the end of the night – perfection.
Also, our vendors said that you were so wonderful to work with. Artie and April said they wish all the wedding coordinators were as organized and professional as you, they said it was a pleasure. David, the photographer, was also amazed at the job you did and also said you were a pleasure to work with. Marshall was the same, he had nothing but wonderful things to say about you. I loved how all vendors worked so well together and that was because of you.
We spoke to our guests after the wedding and all said the food was delicious, the service was great, and they all noticed the hard work that you did Roxanne. We were so happy that everyone had a fun time, and it was all because of you Roxanne. We will definitely HIGHLY recommend you and Foodwerx, it was truly a wonderful experience and money well spent. I am so happy we finally got to meet. It was so much fun working with you, and I am so sad it is over.

We were married on July 7, 2023 at the Camden County Boathouse. We decided to use Foodwerx as our caterer because of the high quality reviews we had read much about, but also in no small part because we had read about what a great day-of coordinator Roxanne was! We discovered that, to no surprise, she was so much more! Roxanne helped us curate our menu from the ground up, and so much more than that.
We loved the food and every guest from our wedding raved about not only the quality of the food, but the incredible variety and styles of food offered. We went with the Fun Package, and it was everything we could have hoped for. The hors d'oeuvres were wonderful, especially the coconut shrimp and the cheesesteak dumplings. The street food was also delicious, with many loving the Thai sesame noodles with pork pot stickers in particular (it was served with chopsticks in a Chinese food carton!). The entrees were also delectable. And the capper was a wonderful ice cream sundae bar in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. The sundae bar played really well on a hot summer day!
Beyond the food, the catering staff was outstanding. They dutifully served all our guests, and as led by Roxanne, had everything ready to go exactly as they had planned. The ballroom was astonishing at first sight and dinner was provided as soon as we finished first dances and toasts. Once dinner was over, the ballroom was cleared out and we were ready for dancing and an evening of revelry. All along the way, we as bride and groom, were hand served by Roxanne and her staff, with plates of appetizers and dinner made for us while we attended to our many guests. Drinks were served to us, too!
But, the best part of our experience with Foodwerx was working with Roxanne. As mentioned, she helped us create our menu, but additionally assisted us in many of the decisions we made about the design of our wedding, the floor plan, when to send out invitations, and so much more. And even though we didn’t actually meet her in person until the day of the wedding (in spite of having spoken to her at least a dozen times), we felt like we knew her incredibly well. Watching her work on the day of the wedding was mesmerizing, as she flawlessly coordinated multiple aspects of our big day, while never once showing a sign of frustration; in fact, she had the cheeriest smile we’ve ever seen! She was as instrumental to our wedding going as we had hoped as anyone else involved, and we are eternally grateful to her for making our wedding night, without a doubt, the best night of our lives!! -

Foodwerx was an AMAZING vendor for my wedding. When my husband and I started planning, we knew we wanted our day to run as smoothly as possible. When we booked with Foodwerx it was a dream come true because Roxanne was SUPER helpful. She helped me decide on linen colors, decor placement, and served as a thought partner for our seating chart which is no easy task! She knows her staff, the venues she works with, and she knows how to communicate with outside vendors. The day of she was on site preparing before we arrived and was very attentive to my needs and those of my guests. Our guests raved about the food and shared how seamlessly everything ran thanks to Roxanne and the Foodwerx team. The day of your wedding can be pretty hectic but Roxanne made sure my husband and I ate, drank, and rested like she was a member of our family. Foodwerx featuring Nicolas caterers was absolutely amazing to work with. All of the banquet servers were pleasant and helpful! The food as well as persentation was absolutely amazing ! My friends and family are still raving about the food. We also had so much food left over to take home! Foodwerx really takes care of you ! More specifically Roxanne DeHart takes care of you ! I hired Roxanne as my day of coordinator through foodwerx and it was way more then worth it! Roxanne is much more then a day of coordinator. I got married 5/6/23 but I have been in communication with Roxanne about my wedding since October 2021. That goes to show you she is way more then a day of coordinator! Roxanne does not miss a detail or direction! She makes sure she gets to know yoi before your wedding and she makes sure she understands the vibe your looking for, for your wedding, and she is super detail oriented. The day of my wedding when I arrived at my venue everything was set up perfectly and exactly how I envisioned it all thanks to Roxanne. She assisted my other vendors, she was was fixing my necklace for photos and helped stage my bridal party and family for photos, that goes to show you how much she goes above and beyond! Roxanne made sure my husband and I were taken care of at all times, made sure we got served our dinner right away, and made sure we always had a full drink! I was even surprised to keep hearing from Roxanne after the wedding. For her it's not just a job, she really builds relationships with her brides and their families! Do yourself a favor and book Foodwerx and Roxanne and I promise your wedding day will go off without a hitch! I also need to mention Taylor from Foodwerx, I believe she is their social media manager but she was present all day! She helped carry the train of my dress out to the ceremony, she captured beautiful moments from our wedding and compiled them into a beautiful video for us! My husband and I got engaged in late 2018 and had planned our wedding for May of 2020. We had pretty much everything ready to go when we were forced to move our date not once but three times! Foodwerx and Roxanne stuck through it all with us. By the time our final date approached I couldn't remember where I'd left off. Thank GOD I hired Roxanne to run my day for me. She got me right back on track. From helping me plan the itinerary to making sure all of my decor and vendors were in the right spot and finally dealing with a difficult guest, she didn't miss a beat. The family and friends that had volunteered to help set up were impressed with her professionalism, organization and positive attitude. Every guest that met her that day pulled me aside to rave about what a fantastic job she did. I can't express how wonderful it was to not have to worry about anything but having fun doing hair and makeup with my bridesmaids on the big day. The timing of everything was perfect as well. I've been to some weddings that ended at 10pm and the dance floor didn't even open till 9! That did not happen with the schedule she put together. Now, I've got to get to the food of course. From the tasting way back in 2019 to the buffet it was delicious! Even after all that time and a pandemic the quality had not changed. I had so many people tell me how good the food was and several that said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. My husband is the youngest of seven and has something like 49 first cousins. These people have been to a LOT of weddings. It was a huge compliment! I can't say enough good things about Foodwerx or Roxanne. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! Working with Foodwerx and Roxanne DeHart was so easy and enjoyable. First of all, the food was SO SO SO delicious! Everyone who attended our wedding has been talking nonstop about how amazing the food was, and we couldn’t agree more. The Foodwerx staff ensured that I (the bride) and my husband got to enjoy the food at our cocktail hour and reception. Thank God because I don’t think I would have remembered to eat!
Secondly, PLEASE do yourself a favor and hire Roxanne as your day of coordinator. She was so pleasant to work with. From day one at our food tasting, she made sure we had all of our questions and concerns addressed immediately. In the months leading up to our wedding, Roxanne was extremely thorough and detailed in her responses. She provided a very clear timeline and helped me coordinate everything with our vendors. I had no doubt that the day of our wedding would run smoothly because of her help and dedication. Roxanne went above and beyond! Our day was absolutely perfect and stress-free thanks to the Foodwerx staff. 11/10 would recommend this team!! -

I do not even know where to start. Foodwerx surpassed every lofty expectation we had at every level. The food was an absolute hit. Cocktail hour knocked everyone’s socks off. The displays were out of a magazine. Every time we went to greet a guest their cheeks were stuffed with delicious appetizers. It started to get comical. The bartending staff was quick with there service. We chose a plated dinner option and we received so much feedback. Many guests said that was the fastest they ever received a meal at a wedding. The servers were efficient and helpful. They really took care of our family and friends. Foodwerx is delicious and efficient. The icing on the cake though was hiring Roxanne to be our maîtr d’. She was without a doubt the conductor of the train and the glue of the team. She has a passion for weddings and is the most organized person I’ve ever met. There is no doubt in my mind our day would have gone as smoothly as it did if we did not hire her to help. She is a rockstar! I am telling you if she is available for your day do yourself a favor and book her. You can not go wrong with Foodwerx and I assure you they are worth every bit of this review and more! -

I had my wedding at the Camden county boathouse and was given 4 options for a catering company. I chose foodwerx because when I did a walk through at my location Roxanne just so happen to be there that day setting up for a wedding and she was super personable and you could tell she was dedicated to her brides. When I went home after I read the reviews for foodwerx’s and they had the best. I met with Roxanne shortly after and did a tasting and wow all the food prepared was mouth watering! They also work with a bakery called sunflour for the wedding cake and the cakes are by far the best I’ve ever tasted and just gorgeous! I chose to also have a pasta station with a chef on my wedding day which was a total hit! If you have Italian family or family who love Italian food this is a great option for you. Anyone planning a wedding knows how stressful it can be and all the minor decisions and details and Roxanne really helped me through the entire process. She was always available to answer any questions and sent me lists to fill out. She is super organized and supportive. She got me everything I wanted and helped make the day magical for me. I would definitely suggest having her there day of your wedding because She helps keep everything in order. It was very stress free for me and I was able to actual enjoy my special day. If I had to redo my wedding all over again I wouldn’t change a thing. Foodwerx is by far the best catering company; numbers do not lie and all my 100+ guests loved the food and cake and couldn’t stop talking about it. If you are on the fence about a caterer search no longer you have found it !!! -

Flawless Experience!!!
Saturday, March 26th 2022 was the best day of my life. I married the love of my life and our wedding day was beautifully seamless and our experience surpassed all expectations due to the wedding day coordination and sumptuous catering services provided by Roxanne DeHart and Foodwerx Caterers. When my now husband and I discussed what our priorities were when it came to our wedding day, our number one priority was a no brainer: food and beverage. My husband and I love to eat amazing food and most of our fondest memories involve enjoying an amazing meal! Our wedding food and beverage had to be incredible and the decision was made to look for and hopefully secure a top catering company near Mt. Laurel, NJ for our wedding day. A bit a research and abundantly positive Google and Yelp reviews brought me to Foodwerx Catering. Along with their catering packages, Foodwerx offered the services of a day of coordinator, Roxanne.
Going with Foodwerx and utilizing the services of Roxanne was the best decision we made regarding our wedding day. Roxanne’s attention to detail, planning, timeline management, coordination of vendors, communication, vast experience, aesthetic, logistical expertise, and most importantly, warm and kind heart are everything a couple needs to ensure that their wedding event exceeds every expectation. Every bump in the road or unexpected turn of events was handled calmly, promptly, and professionally. Adding additional décor flourish to our reception area; she handled it. Adjusting our timeline to ensure that our photographers got cake cutting shots before our contractual end time; she handled it. Last minute realization that a generator was needed for the outdoor kitchen; she handled it. Simply put, she worked magic at every turn to ensure that we had the best day possible.
Now, the food. There are almost no words for how incredibly the food was prepared, served, and how much our guests enjoyed. Our families are not easy to please when it comes to food. Therefore, cookie cutter lukewarm generic wedding food was NOT AN OPTION for our day. Foodwerx surpassed all expectations by providing food that was scratch made on site, served hot and fresh, and was unbelievably flavorful and delicious. I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for all of Roxanne and Foodwerx’s tireless efforts. Bottom line, if you are looking for an exemplary culinary and wedding day coordinating experience, look no further than Foodwerx!!

Where to begin?! We signed on with foodwerx in 2019 mainly because we loved the idea of being able to taste the food right away before actually signing on! And the product spoke for itself! Delish! Then came the pandemic and our fall 2020 wedding turned into fall 2021. And through the chaos of a changing world, foodwerx pulled off perfection! Thank GOODNESS for Roxanne! She is an essential part of the foodwerx experience. Energized, organized, loving and supportive- she helped us keep everything together as the world changed day by day!! Our family and friends still talk about our wedding food! I have never raved about chicken at a wedding I have ever attended...but our guests sure do about what they had from foodwerx!! The service we received at our wedding and reception held at the Camden County Boathouse, on Friday 1-7-22. We wanted to let you know that your team was so extremely professional, courteous, and just down right nice to deal with. They were attentive to guests, requests, and made our celebration one that won’t soon be forgotten. The food was delicious, fresh, hot, and was commented on by many. My sister who owns a catering business for the last 30 + years commented unsolicited about how good all the food was through the night. Please thank all of those who were on staff that night with heartfelt gratitude.
The real star of the show was Roxanne DeHart. Roxanne was beyond amazing. She was there from the beginning when we first contacted Foodwerx to the end of the night. Reading all the glowing reviews on Bride-Wire about Roxanne are all absolutely true. She made sure the night went off without a hitch, She served us throughout the night and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. She bleeds Foodwerx. She always talks so highly about Foodwerx (“We are Foodwerx”) and has a work ethic not often seen today. She is a total asset. As I said to my wife “there isn’t a wedding WITHOUT Roxanne”. The highlight of the night was when our DJ played Roxanne by the Police, and we danced with her having the best time.
So job VERY well done by the staff/team and especially Roxanne who was the best event planner in the business. -

First off: we used Roxanne as our coordinator for our wedding and I could NOT have been any happier with her. We planned our wedding pre-Covid and had to Change our date twice BECAUSE of Covid and she was still on point with our plans. She didn’t miss a single beat. I could have never done this wedding without her guidance. I feel like her team that night had been hand-picked for us. Everyone made sure the bride/groom had been fed and taken care of all night. I felt like a star!! I literally worried about NOTHING all night. And they packed up our truck at the end of the night. WHO DOES THAT!?? For the food: the appetizers are still being talked about lol and the dinner was delicious! I love that FoodWerx food does NOT taste like cafeteria/catering food. Tastes like home made cooking. Please, if you want to be treated like a queen/king at your wedding hire foodwerx and hire Roxanne as your coordinator. -

Foodwerx caterer my wedding on October 10, 2021 and everything was beautiful, organized, and delicious!! Everything was taken care of and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Having Roxanne as our coordinator made the whole day and planning the event seamless. For about 10 months leading up to the wedding, Roxanne was available to talk for any questions that we had and checked in with me frequently. She went above and beyond to satisfy our needs. Our guests raved about the food provided by Foodwerx from the unique, beautifully displayed hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour to the buffet dinner and desserts. Many said it was the best food they have eaten at a wedding! We had quite a few guests who own or have worked in restaurants for a long time, including my husband and they were very impressed. All the staff including servers and bartenders we're professional and friendly. I would 100% recommend Foodwerx for your next event! You will not regret it!! -

Where do I even begin???
Brian and I have had a wild ride when it comes to our wedding journey. Finishing school, having a toddler, navigating through a global pandemic, oh and planning a wedding? It has not been easy. We booked with Foodwerx early 2020 for our wedding July 2020. When the pandemic hit, I was talking back and forth with Roxanne and she was a major help and encouragement in our decision to push our wedding off a year due to the pandemic. As the day finally drew near Roxanne and I were communicating everyday and sometimes multiple times a day. She is so organized and truly has a passion for her job. She gives her brides an unforgettable wedding experience. I am so so so happy we chose Foodwerx to cater our wedding on 7.11.21. My husband and I got married at the Camden County Boathouse 7/9/21! We first began planning our wedding in Fall 2019, and decided to have Foodwerx as our caterer after reading their great reviews, then tasting their delicious food, and finally meeting the wonderful Roxanne! We had originally planned our wedding for July 2020, and then postponed to July 2021. Roxanne was our "rock"... we hired her as a day-of coordinator right away, but she was much, much more. She helped to calm our nerves every step of the way; for about a year and a half, there were a lot of 'unknowns', anxiety and stress..but Roxanne was there to help whenever we had a question or a worry. She reassured us that everything would be perfect, and it really was! Foodwerx has amazing food- we have gotten so many compliments, but also.. an AMAZING STAFF!!! We have also had so many people tell us that every staff member was kind, friendly, had a positive attitude, went above and beyond to help, etc. We are so especially grateful for that! I couldn't be more pleased with the experience my family and I had with foodwerx. We worked closely with Roxanne, and she did a phenomenal job. We didn't have to worry about a single thing as she was on top of every single detail. On the night of our wedding she made sure that my husband and I were fed and had a drink in our hand. If you haven't been married yet, it really difficult to eat due to the amount of people wanting your attention. Roxanne would come up to us through out the night to see if we needed anything. This being said, we didn't go hungry! THANK YOU. We felt cared for like family.
The food was also impeccable. Everything was delicious and our guests were raving about how delicious the food was. I honestly wish foodwerx was a restaurant so we could have their food again. 10/10 recommend. I'm still dreaming about the brisket.

We chose foodwerx to cater our brunch wedding and they did not disappoint! The original person we were working with left the company, but Krista seamlessly stepped in and took over everything just a few months before our wedding. She was so helpful with figuring out the tiny details in the weeks leading up to our wedding, even ordering last minute linens when I forgot to tell her about the high top cocktail tables we had. Her and the staff were on top of everything at the wedding. They brought my husband and I 4 plates of food right away and made sure we had anything we needed. Their displays were beautiful, and food was delicious…my cousin even told the guy serving the cannoli cream stuffed French toast that he loved him! I cannot say enough nice things about foodwerx, and specifically, Roxanne DeHart. From the day I started planning our wedding, to the actual day, this company, and Roxanne, was an absolute pleasure to work with.
I had a 300 person wedding – a number that made many caterers balk as I was in the beginning stages of my planning. Not only did foodwerx not turn away from me, but they curated a menu that was delicious, yet simple…elaborate, yet doable.
My guests were fed in a timely manner and could not be more complimentary about the food that was served. The passed hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour had people pulling me aside to compliment.
NOW ABOUT ROXANNE – to my future grooms and brides…you need Roxanne not only as a catering partner, but as a day-of coordinator. My wedding went off without a hitch. It was a seamless transition from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception, to after party, all within the same space.
I made the very ‘courageous’ (or that’s what I’m calling it!) choice to have our wedding in a non-traditional space…a space that foodwerx and Roxanne had never seen. A space that had an incomplete kitchen and no glassware.
Roxanne had everything taken care of – ordered, and assembled – without much input from me at all. She took the stress of the wedding off of me so that I could enjoy my day with my husband and my guests. She even put together a platter of food for us from our cocktail hour so we could enjoy it later, having spent that time taking pictures.
I don’t know what more I can say, except that if you are stressing about food for your wedding, foodwerx is the ONLY way to go. My daughter uses Foodwerx for her corporate clients & recommended them for her sister's Bridal Shower. Roxanne was fantastic, she made sure we had everything we needed to make the day a success. Roxanne gives you her FULL attention your whole day. She has a great concept of time, making sure you always have a drink in hand, your family is taken care of, and you have at least 2 hours of time to dance ..she also makes sure you EAT (which is something many brides have said they forget to do!).
From cocktail hour to the send off, so many guests we're so impressed how HOT the appetizers were, how lovely the presentation was, all around how amazing the station choices were.

I had a really specific table look that I wanted to re-create and she was awesome about finding the perfect matches through her rental vendors. Just tied the knot this past weekend. I am incredibly pleased with this vendor. We were unable to taste test the food due to Covid and that was extremely scary. We choose Foodwerx after attending a tasting at Camden County Boathouse for the 3 caterers they partner with. Foodwerx was hands down the best caterer of the three choices. Their displays are amazing and the food is delicious. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The cake provided by their partner Bredenbeck's was perfect. We served filet as one of the options for our wedding meal, and they sent home the leftovers. My husband and I had the filet again the next night, and it was still delicious and you could still cut it with a butter knife! The taco station and smores station were big hits! Everyone raved about the food all night and continued to text us about the food after the wedding, Krista was wonderful to work with, especially towards the end dealing with lots of last minute changes. My one and only concern during the planning was that there were several event coordinators I worked with. It was difficult keeping track of who told me what and then having to re-explain those things to the next person if they got lost in transition. However, each person was very professional and helpful. We couldn't be happier with choosing foodwerx for our wedding. We would use them again for any other events we have! -

One of the very first things Foodwerx will tell you is that they are the most expensive, but they are the best. I followed them on social media, and was familiar with their level of flair and pizazz. We scheduled a tasting, and were sold on hiring them. We planned our wedding within 5 months, so things moved quickly - and were good until about a week prior to our wedding.
If you had asked me a week before my wedding to review them, this would be a 5 star review hands down - at the time of this review-2 weeks after our wedding, here is why it is not and why I can not recommend them-
1. It all started when we received our final invoice a week ish before our event. The remaining balance amount was higher than our contract rate. I sent the invoice back for review 3 times, before I had to spell out for them how and why it was wrong. When you are quoted and on your contract, the services are line itemed (adults, kids, vendors, bar, bartenders,rentals [not itemized btw], etc) , and calculated individually including 20% service and tax. you see the cost of each service and then all the services are summed up at the bottom. When you get your quick books invoice- all the services are added up in a column (larger subtotals), then multiplied by 20% (larger service fee), added together, then taxed (more taxes). (remember PEMDAS from math class and you'll see the issue) After some back and forth, I informed them that I was only obligated to pay them what was contracted, and they revised my invoice to reflect what they quoted me (which as it turns out, was misquoted in the first place with bad math) I received my final invoice a day or two before the wedding.
2. Remember all the pizazz and flair I was excited about earlier? Well, I didn't get any of it. We might as well had held our wedding at the local buffet place, or hired a much cheaper caterer for the complete lack of ummph their food displays had. Think wedding typical - buffet salad and full sized plates, self serve, items not replenished - a few sashes, candles, and identification signs for décor. Nothing special or memorable. Zero flair. Which wouldn't have been an issue had they not over sold how amazing it would be in both presentation and taste. The set up was up and down so fast for apps, dinner, and dessert, that my photographer couldn't get pictures of them and they weren't included in my album.
3. so how was the food you ask... I wouldn't know, I DIDN'T GET ANY. Not during the event, and nothing to take with me even though they insist they gave us food to go. (a couple to go pack is supposedly standard- as it's apparently common for the couple to eat very little during the wedding. we did not get ours and at 2 am at the hotel I was starving) My guests however, raved about taste of appetizers and dinner - but did note that servings felt restricted and items were not replenished so if you weren't first in line, you didn't get everything you might have wanted. Mind you, we had well over 20 adult guests no show - so there should have been plenty of food. No one should have left hungry. Dessert had similar issues of being set up and taken down so quickly that many (including our photographer) weren't aware that there even was dessert; and yet there were no leftovers.
The wedding cake is contracted in, and serviced by Bredenbacks in Chestnut Hill, PA. (you have to travel there for their tasting) They only serve pound cakes in their tiered wedding cakes. So, 4 tiers of pounds it was. I didn't get any of the other 3 tiers and we took the top tier home. It was pound cake.
4. what about service - well, remember where I said I didn't eat... well that was because someone took my plates off the sweetheart table before I even touched them. Wait staff removed guests plates off tables when they got up to go for example to the bar - regardless of whether or not the plates appeared eaten and without asking anyone else at the table if that person was done. This was the most common feedback I received about service. "I went to get a drink and all my food was gone"
5. Our menu had also been altered from what we requested without prior discussion - 1 appetizer was left out completely, 1 was unrecognizable and not appealing even in photos, and 1 should have had a cheesesteak filing, but instead contained something with beans.. At dinner - the chicken option was supposed to be a stuffed breast, but instead was medallion style and served 2 slivers at a time. Just not what we were expecting since the tasting (where we tried the entire menu) was so very different. It's a good thing I went to the tasting because otherwise, I'd have spent about 12k without any idea of how it tasted and I'd be furious.
fyi- the kids meals are chicken tenders and fries. It doesn't tell you that anywhere, but that's what it turned out to be. We thought that it was a seperate rate to account for smaller portions of the dinner included into the final count. We paid about $40/kid for tenders and fries. None of the kids ate $40 worth of tenders or fries.
6. Roxanne - we paid the extra $500 dollars to have Roxanne do our day of coordinating. She is a diligent planner, who ironed out wrinkles with the venue, and some other planning-your-wedding-in less-than-6 months issues. She did a great job of getting all the vendors on the same page and schedule (even though that schedule later threw wrenches into my photographers schedule, who cited her master schedule as the reason we are missing photos). She is a wonderful person to work with. Now whether or not Foodwerx throws her under the bus for all the mishaps of our day, and whether not they were fully within her scope- is yet to be seen. I did contact her after the wedding, and she didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with our event, aside from not starting on time. So who knows. If you're going to use them, she is worth the extra money. Just make sure you leave detailed instructions for your personalized décor - I realized things were not set up that had been delivered to the venue and were still in the boxes in the bridal suite, after the reception had started.
Our wedding got off to a late start partially due to priority guests getting stuck in rush hour traffic (venue was on Cherry Hill/Pennsauken border) and then lost, bridesmaids and the make up artist getting held up in rush hour traffic (Friday night event) - ugh! - So to accommodate we shortened the ceremony, cut out some of the dances, and cut the speeches and toatsts from the night. By the end we were only off by about 15mins. It was not worth the feeling of beating the clock, or feeling like we missed things. In hindsight, I would have rather had the option to pay for an extra hour than to have spent so much money and walk away disappointment in the final outcome.
There were a series of other mishaps including a bar tender deciding to close up earlier than last call, missing alcohol that can't be accounted for, and having to end our event earlier than initially planned because Foodwerx set the schedule and pace of our event.
As I said I waited 2 weeks to review them because I sent the owner an email outlining my dissatisfaction. His response - he wanted my husband and I to come in and meet with their staff. I told them I wasn't interested in taking more time off from work to have people "explain" to us why they feel like what was done was enough, and that if he were going to give a cursory customer service apology I didn't need to lose more money to get it . I assumed they cut corners on my event because poor accounting on their part didn't net them their usual profit. I included this in my email and it wasn't denied.
Could it have been just an off day all the way around? Possibly. Everyone has one. I didn't ask for a refund, but maybe I should have and then at least I would have gotten an apology.
