We truly could not have asked for a better experience than working with Tina and she and her husband’s catering team at Food For The Soul.
From the very beginning, Tina was incredibly flexible with all of our idea and timeline changes (though we had more than one), which made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. She was always clear, communicative, and so supportive—often offering thoughtful input from her past experience while still encouraging us to make decisions that felt true to us and our vision. She struck the perfect balance between guidance and letting us create a day that felt completely our own.
On the wedding day, Tina was absolutely amazing. She kept everything moving smoothly and effortlessly without ever making us feel rushed or overly directed. We were able to stay present and fully enjoy each moment, knowing she had everything handled. She coordinated seamlessly with all of our vendors, and if there were any issues behind the scenes, we truly have no idea—because Tina managed everything so professionally and effectively. Most importantly, Tina is an incredibly kind person who we are so lucky to have had present on our wedding day.
And the food was incredible. Food For The Soul exceeded every expectation. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and genuinely delicious—ourselves and our guests absolutely loved it!

We worked with Food for the Soul for both catering and wedding planning, and hiring Tina was one of the best decisions we made during the entire wedding process.
About five weeks before our wedding, our original venue unexpectedly received a cease and desist order from the county and we suddenly had to find a new venue and reorganize everything on very short notice. Up until that point we had been planning everything ourselves, but Tina stepped in and took over planning and coordination, and it completely changed the experience for the better.
She helped us secure a new venue, coordinated vendors, rentals, timeline, setup, and communication, and made the entire process organized and manageable during what could have been a very stressful situation. She was extremely communicative, organized, and always mindful of our budget while still helping our vision come to life.
On the wedding day, everything ran perfectly. The timing, setup, coordination, and transitions were smooth and we were able to just show up and enjoy the day instead of worrying about logistics. That alone made it worth it.
The food was also incredible. We received many compliments from our guests, and several people told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Tina, Rob, and the entire team did an amazing job with the buffet and service.
Tina also helped connect us with other great vendors and made the whole process feel like a one-stop shop for everything we needed — rentals, florals, photography, and more. She was organized, responsive by email and phone, and clearly very experienced with Maui weddings.
We are incredibly happy we chose Food for the Soul for both planning and catering and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding on Maui. We are still raving about the food at our Maui wedding! Every dish was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and perfectly suited to our wedding style and location. From appetizers to the main course and late-night snacks, the flavors were incredible, and every detail was executed with care and precision. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the variety, quality, and freshness of the food. The team was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel completely cared for throughout the entire process. Tina, the owner, made us feel so welcome and special during our tasting, guiding us with her expertise and genuine warmth—it truly set the tone for the whole experience. We cannot say enough good things about Tina and her team from Food for the Soul Maui. We were planning a wedding at a venue we have never been to from thousands of miles away and a 6 hour time difference. Tina always made us feel like we were in good hands and she had everything under control. She gave us homework which helped us stay on track and everything leading up to the big day was effortless. We had a walk through the day before our wedding and Tina already had everything planned out and ready to go. The day of the wedding was absolutely seamless. Tina gave us space to get ready and enjoy the day but made sure we were on track and well fed! She was there if we needed anything last minute. Every guest said it was the best wedding they've ever been too. The setup was more perfect than we could have imagined. Thanks to Tina and her team for taking a dreamy venue and somehow making it even more magical.
We HIGHLY recommend Food for the Soul Maui, Tina, and all of her crew for your wedding. We look forward to using them at our anniversary parties in the future!

Tina + FFS Nō ka 'oi
Tina is the best! My husband and I were Lahaina residents and planned to marry in We were fortunate to meet Tina by chance while touring the Olowalu Plantation House, which ultimately became our venue. Right away, we could tell Tina was the perfect person to help us navigate planning the weeding. She is kind, calm and attentive. Tina never tried to push us to any particular vendor and helped us work within our budget.
Unfortunately, my husband and I lost our home and everything else in the Lahaina fire in August 2023, less than 2 months out from our wedding. Tina not only helped us immediately to reschedule the wedding and coordinating with vendors, she was a huge emotional support for us as we grappled with the loss of our community. Planning a wedding once is stressful enough. Planning a wedding twice after losing everything in a fire was something we could not have done without Tina.
We cannot say enough kind words about Tina. She is a calming presence on the day-of, we never had to worry about anything, and she was always there with a smile. I cannot imagine my wedding without her involvement and by the end, she became like Ohana to us. We are forever grateful for her kindness and making our wedding even better than we could have imagined.
P.S. FFTS also catered the wedding and the food was spectacular! I still have guests telling me how it was the best wedding meal they ever had!

I had food for the soul cater and plan my wedding on December 2022 and it was the best decision I have ever made. Tina and her group were the best ! My whole wedding party fell in love with how nice and helpful all the staff were. Noah was quick to problem solve any issue that came up. Alana was a queen of organization. She made sure everyone was on time and things were going as planned. Tina is a mastermind of wedding planning and made sure to take care of every detail. Also the FOOD!!!!!!!! It was the best I have ever had. All my guest would not stop complimenting how delicious the food turned out. If you are looking for an expert wedding planner and best food in Maui, Tina and her group is the way to go! Thank you again to everyone! We will definitely be back to do a reunion in the future. -

This review is far overdue but I cannot recommend Tina and Food For The Soul enough!! First off, we started planning our wedding back in 2018/2019 and were scheduled to have in 2020. During the initial planning process, Tina was SO helpful at keeping us on schedule and giving recommendations. She gave us recommended vendors, we told decided on a budget, then she helped narrow down our options which was super helpful because we did everything from CA without ever going to Maui and had no clue what to do on our own. She is a wealth of knowledge and has amazing relationships with so many great vendors on Maui. This truly showed also when we had to postpone not once, but twice. Tina helped us move ALL our vendors back to 2022, and with minimal changes to our budget which we could not believe. She made the planning process a breeze I could not have done this without her. Fast forward to our wedding day, we had 50 people and used FFTS for catering and rentals. The food, omg, the food was incredible. We had luau style buffet with a full roasted pig. Rob and his team CRUSHED IT on the food. It was not your typical wedding food. This was better than you'd get at a nice restaurant. Our guests raved about it and I'm still craving those meatballs 5 months later. Tina executed everything perfectly the day of our wedding. Little touches of decor that I didn't even think to plan on just magically appeared, like when I ordered a box of glow sticks for the dance floor, I expected them to come out in the Amazon box because I didnt plan anything for it, but Tina even had them out in a gorgeous wooden bowl for people to take. Its the little things that you don't think of, that she will absolutely do behind the scenes so you can just focus on enjoying your day. Tina and Rob are the KINDEST people to work with and are SO GOOD at what they do. I am so thankful we booked with them.Food For The Soul Catering & Events's reply:

I simply cannot express the amount of gratitude we feel for Tina, her husband, her daughter, and the entire Food For The Soul Crew! From the beginning, Tina was attentive, communicative, comforting, and understanding.
Tina is a true rock star. From coordinating and catering, she knows it all. She offered excellent advice and helped make our menu choice! Our guests raved about the rosemary chicken and the appetizers were so delicious! The sundae bar was a huge hit!
The staff was excellent, making sure I had a drink in hand. They checked on us frequently, making sure everything was okay, and it was!
She made my vision come to life! My theme was Snow White and she made that happen! Truly! When I saw what she and her crew had done, I cried tears of joy. It was better than I had ever imagined. The red flowers, the table settings, all my crazy ideas were there.

Tina was a lifesaver in so many ways, helping us every step of the way! Our venue (Olowalu Plantation House) required a day-of wedding planner and we were already eyeing FFTS (Food For The Soul) for catering so it was a perfect fit. Tina made the process fun and manageable, helping to relieve all of my stress about planning!
We had a food tasting prior to our wedding date and were so in love with the food that my husband could not stop talking about it prior to us getting married! Everything was fresh and delicious at our tasting, but tasted even better on our wedding day. I was surprisingly on top of planning the big items way ahead of time, Tina was able to help me fill in the gaps and asked questions I hadn’t even thought of from the layout and tableware, to the timeline and the setup for our shrine to our friend who has passed. We also had Tina’s help with booking the rentals we decided on, and almost everything else involved in the wedding planning. Her advice and recommendations were so valuable for someone only doing this once to make sure it went smoothly according to our vision. We unfortunately had to arrive late to our wedding, after almost not being able to make it at all, and Tina was there every step of the way to make sure our arrival was a surprise for our guests. The FFTS team even stayed later so that we could enjoy the most of our big day. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding not only happen but go so perfectly for us.
We assembled the perfect team for our big day at the Olowalu Plantation House on Maui, ending up with 35 guests there to help us celebrate our love. We had beautiful table arrangements and leis from Val at MauiWeddingFlowers.net, delicious appetizers and dinner from FFTS, a great tone set by DJ Dan throughout the day, and priceless help from Tina at FFTS every step of the way. The moment was captured in stills by our friend Cat, and on video by Andre at All Time Media. Despite many setbacks leading up to our big day, our team were all on the same page and able to accommodate last minute changes.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day to become one, so thank you all so much for being a part of making that happen. I cannot recommend FFTS enough for your wedding day or any event, big or small, you will not regret it!Food For The Soul Catering & Events's reply:

My husband and I hired both Tina and Rob to manage our June 2022 Maui wedding planning and provide the catering for our event - they are both the absolute best and we were SO happy with that decision! Tina is the perfect combination of easy-going and organized, she will keep you on top of all of the decisions that need to be made, meet with you to discuss all details big and small throughout the course of your engagement, and will make your actual wedding day a breeze. She is exactly the kind of person that you want in charge of one of the most important days of your life! As far as the food goes, 10/10 chef Rob and his team are amazing. Our guests raved about the food, from the appetizers to the main course. My husband and I still daydream about the coconut prawn appetizers! We are so grateful and happy that we hired Food for the Soul for our catering and for our day of wedding planner. Tina was our wedding planner and her husband Rob was the head chef. They make such a great team and are incredible people. We got to know Tina very well during the months of planning leading up to the wedding. Even though we hired her for a day of planner, she was helping us organize and giving us vendor recommendations throughout the whole process. It far exceeded our expectations of what we thought a day-of-wedding planner was. Tina knew of every detail to cover and you can tell she and her husband have a lot of experience doing lots of weddings. On the day of our wedding we were able to relax and enjoy everything because Tina and her assistant took care of everything from setting up and organizing the vendors, making sure all of our guests were taken care of, making sure my husband and I set aside alone time right after the ceremony, setting up all of our tables, ensuring all of our vendors were paid and received their tips and cleaning up everything after the wedding. She and her assistant were truly angels and we wouldn’t have been able to have the wedding we did without them! When it came to the food, we were so impressed! Rob is a great chef and so many of our guests mentioned to us how great all the food was. We had a few appetizers during cocktail hour and then for dinner had Mahi Mahi, Roasted Chicken, and a vegan pasta dish. We also had late night snacks (saimin noodles, pizza, and sliders) which were delicious and such a hit with our guests! We also opted for a small 6” round wedding cake and a dessert bar with mini desserts. I am vegan and was so happy that they were able to accommodate making vegan options for me. They even made a vegan cake and vegan cupcakes. Our wedding cake was so good we already broke into the frozen leftovers and ate half of the portion we were supposed to save for our 1 year anniversary!
We would highly recommend Food for the Soul if you are catering an event or wedding. Not only will you get great food and service, you will be working with 2 people who are genuinely caring and embody the aloha spirit!

Tina and Rob were amazing to work with from the start. With all of the craziness due to Covid, Tina walked us through it every step of the way reassuring us that we could still have our dream wedding! She was so responsive throughout the planning process and had the best recommendations for vendors, keeping every detail in check. We could not have asked for a better experience and the catering was also delicious - our guests commented on how yummy our Hawaiian buffet was. Tina was our wedding planner and continuously went above and beyond to help us plan our destination wedding. She was incredibly friendly, transparent, organized, and professional-all stellar event planning qualities. Planning a wedding during COVID was often very stressful, but Tina’s calm demeanor always helped to ease our minds. She was prompt to respond to all emails and set up multiple check in phone calls over the course of two years to assist us in planning, postponing, and then planning again. We could tell how much she really cared about our day, because of how well she listened and ensured we didn’t have any questions. She helped us to stay on track, chose excellent vendors, and execute the most amazing day. We are so grateful for all of Tina’s wonderful guidance throughout the duration of the planning process.
The dinner Rob served was absolutely incredible and cooked to perfection- our guests are still raving about it! Many of our guests have even said it is the best food they’ve ever tasted at a wedding. Brendan and I are both foodies so choosing a caterer without a tasting was a tad concerning, but after reading multiple reviews and speaking with their team, we felt confident in Food for the Soul. I am thrilled with our decision; every single appetizer and dish was delicious! I would 100% hire them again for a future event.

We were very happy with our choice to hire Food for the Soul for our wedding and got tons of compliments from our guests on the food! They were great to work with and very accommodating throughout the whole planning process. We were unable to schedule a tasting during a pre-wedding visit to Maui given their busy event schedule so they arranged for us to pick up appetizers and entrees for free from a wedding they were catering at Olowalu while we were in town so we could still taste everything in advance. Appetizers were some of the best I've ever had at a wedding - we were so happy they saved us an entire plate full to enjoy with our dinner so we didn't miss out on any! Must-haves include the Ahi Tar Tar in Wonton Cups, Coconut Shrimp, Gorgonzola Stuffed Dates Wrapped in Bacon, and the Kalua Pork Sliders!Food For The Soul Catering & Events's reply:

I just have to say how thankful I am for Tina and her services to help my husband and I achieve the wedding of our dreams. Tina went above and beyond to not only deal with all vendors and frankly EVERYONE, she also helped me navigate each of my best options financially, my indecision, and my many last minute changes. Tina was a DREAM to work with. She was calming and kind and extremely attentive and responsive to all my emails and questions and concerns. She never made me feel bad for my many questions, and gave utmost care to every single detail. Tina, Rob, and the Food for the Soul team are amazing!! At the start of our engagement, my fiancé said that one of the most important parts of a wedding is the food. He isn’t wrong, so I put him in charge of finding the caterer. We planned our wedding from Sydney, Australia; so tastings weren’t an option for us. However, this company speaks for itself. It’s truly Food for the Soul. My fiancé did his research, read all the reviews, and knew that FFTS were our people. The cherry on top? Tina Digman. Tina not only runs and coordinates the catering side of FFTS, she also plans & coordinates weddings & events. My fiancé and I had all these visions, dreams, and questions bouncing around in our heads. After our first call with Tina, happy tears were shed (mainly by the bride). Tina instantly put us at ease, answered all our questions, and we knew she was the planner for us. Our planning journey was smooth sailings. Tina kept us on track, provided info and reviews of all vendors, and helped us think outside the typical wedding box. They say your wedding day happens in a flash, and it did, but it went off without a hitch with Tina & team by our side. What about the food? Oh yeah. THE. FOOD. WAS. KILLER! Chef Rob and team dish out some awesome food. We went with the Pacific Rim Buffet option, served family style, and boy it didn’t disappoint. The flavors of all dishes were divine, people with all taste buds were satisfied. From the wasabi mash to the sesame pork loin with hoisin sauce, out of this world! We loved hearing all our guest compliment the food. During our wedding, after our wedding and we know for years to come. We’re so thankful for all the Food for the Soul team members. We could not have chosen a better team to plan THE wedding of our dreams ....
We used food for the soul for full wedding coordination and catering for our wedding on September 2019, and it worked out seamlessly. Tina is lovely and very professional. We were planning our wedding in Maui from Las Vegas, and Tina was very knowledgeable of vendors and conditions in Maui and she always suggested things with our budget in mind ; unlike other planners that are not as cost effective . I have been planning the wedding of my dreams for years and I had alot of details that I wanted incorporated . On my wedding day I could not hold back the tears because it was even better than what I had imagined. Every single detail was executed so gracefully. And when I wanted certain things changed last minute, Tina would arrange it with no hesitation , she also had no problems getting our decor sent to her home from las vegas . Tina and your team you guys are amazing . My wedding day was stress free and our wedding group of 60 people all appreciated how attentive and organized Tina was throughout our wedding and our wedding rehearsal. Tina we love you !!
Rob is her husband and the main chef of food for the soul and we saw from the reviews that people rave about their food . And I can say the reviews don’t lie !! The food was AMAZING !! My husband and I are big foodies and really good food at our wedding was the most important thing. Once we had our tasting when we visited Maui before the wedding , we knew we made the absolute right choice .
Our guests could not stop talking to this day about how delicious everything was from our cocktail hour to our full buffet dinner . Tina also made sure that my husband and I had the full selection of apps during our cocktail hour that we enjoyed before going out to mingle with our guests which we thoroughly devoured. The only regret My guests had was being too full to eat more of the food, because it was that good ! Our favorites from our food selection are coconut shrimp which was soooo good! , crab cakes were phenomenal and really packed with yummy crab, The roast pig- lechon stole the show!! , the wasabi mashed potatoes - so creamy and flavorful , the mango glazed mahi-mahi , and the filet mignon. Basically everything that came out of Rob’s kitchen was to die for.
There are a lot of choices out there in Maui but I can truly say Rob and Tina of Food for the soul are truly genuine people and care about you and your needs for your wedding day . They exceeded our expectations at all levels and the quality of the food and service was top notch. A million thanks food for the soul, we had the wedding of the year and memories of a lifetime . Tina and her team are the absolute BEST. When I started planning my wedding I was overwhelmed and didn’t even know where to begin but as soon as I got on the phone with Tina I felt so comfortable and on that very FIRST phone conversation I knew I made the right choice. Tina and Rob were professional, calming and a pleasure to work with. They had to work with us through long distance as we are based in Canada and we couldn't have asked for anyone else. Tina and Rob of Food For The Soul are simply amazing! I was recommended their services from a friend who got married a few months before me. As she stated, they were so easy to communicate with through out my wedding planning, and they really listened to my needs. Tina was very genuine and really helped me to stay within my budget. As promised, there was plenty of delicious food for my guests! Rob is truly amazing in the kitchen! My family and friends came to me through out our wedding night just to tell me how delicious their meals were, which really made made my heart happy! One of my aunts visiting from New York said it was the best meal she has ever had! Thank you again to Food For The Soul for the amazing service! I highly recommend them for any function you may need catering for!

Bridgett Sent on 08/13/2018I really had no idea what to expect. We live in Colorado, and neither my husband or I had ever been to the Hawaiian Islands. We didn't have any family or friends to give us any feedback or recommendations, but I tell you what, I am so thankful I did some google searches and found Food for the Soul. Tina was incredible to work with. She was always very punctual and helped take so much of the planning off my plate. She knew what questions to ask and when to ask them. She was a pleasure to work with. They took care of everything, the chairs, tables, flatware, silverware, bar, food, staff, planning... I do not think I am forgetting anything. If that wasn't enough, when the big day came, the staff were all a pleasure to work with, so friendly and helpful! Now to the food, OMG I could have eaten all night if I didnt have to fit in my dress. It was delicious, and there was fear there as we didn't get to test the food before choosing them to be our catering company. They didn't disappoint. It was AMAZING!!!! Not one single item was not tasty. I even ate the fish and I HATE seafood!

I refer to her often as my Wedding "Fairy God Mother" as her gentle nature and professionalism was what helped make my wedding day absolutly perfect from start to finish and put me at ease through the whole process. I was so nervous and didn't even know where to start planning for a wedding on the other side of the world, I had never been to Maui and had no idea how to go about hiring, decorating,organizing food and drinks and decor and insurance and all those loose ends one has to think of when pulling together a wedding. A friend of mine who had used Food for the Soul told me about how they used them as their caterer and the food was out of this world and that they also helped with all the wedding details leading up to the big day and it was so simple! When I reached out to Tina from FFTS to inquire if she could help me it was love at first call! She walked me through everything and scheduled call backs every few months leading up to the big day and kept me on track with timelines and offered vendor tips and anything I asked for or wanted to change she would alter with the tap of her wand like it was no trouble at all! I am very indecisive and she always offered solutions and kept me in my budget, and really there is nothing more she could have done to make it a better experience! Her husband is the chef and his cooking was INCREDIBLE! I still get messages from guests today reminiscing about the meal! She also set everything up decor wise with her team exactly how I had imagined my wedding ambiance looking without really any instruction! She was an absolute blessing and so affordable she even saved me a ton of money through her vendor connections! I don't know what I would have done without her! I wish I could hug her everyday to thank her for making these last few months which should have been stressful, so smooth and hassle free! Fay Sent on 12/06/2017Tina & Rob absolutely nailed it with our wedding. Tina is the sweetest, most amazing person and she had it all down to a T! She was absolutely professional, 100% of the time, and only came to us on the day of to confirm any changes or to direct us based on time. She made sure we got 100% of our deposit back from the venue and was amazing every step of the way. I'll tell you that this is no easy feat with me - I am a organizational freak and she followed my needs from the day we signed the contract w/ her (2 years prior to our special day)!
And I have to say that although we knew the food was going to be delish, as they had given us a sample plate once before, they did an amazing job of set up and arranging everything. Our wedding day turned out beautifully and the food and drinks were delicious!! Rob, the chef and the staff were so sweet and professional.
