We used this caterer for our wedding and very happy with everything they did for us. We chose to have bbq and the meats were delicious and melt in the mouth. Also loved their sauces, especially the cheerwine. The appetizers also good and they offer a wide variety to choose. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food that was served and had a lot leftover to enjoy the rest of the week. Definitely recommend a tasting if you are able to, so you have a better idea on what to serve. I think it helped us out a bit and you get to know the people that are in charge the day of. Very helpful and answered all of my questions and quick to respond. Such a great experience and glad we chose them to be a part of our wedding day. -

Matthew was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was always very quick to respond to questions or concerns. I knew from our first conversation that he was our caterer.
Food Experience made my daughters wedding a dream come true. Their team was amazing and our guests were very complementary about the DELICIOUS food. We could not be more pleased with our experience with Food Experience. If you are looking for catering… look no further!!Food Experience's reply:

We used My Food Experience for our wedding in Glenville, NC and loved them! We went to Asheville for a tasting and the team was so knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. They listened to what we wanted and gave us their professional opinion when needed. The food was absolutely delicious. Our guests still rave about it! -

Matthew and the team at Food Experience nailed it with our extensive wedding menu! Every item was just as delectable as the last. They helped with customizing, giving suggestions, communicating, service was excellent, and EVERYONE had amazing feedback. I would recommend them to anyone looking for Five Star catering in the Asheville area! -

Accommodating and Delicious!
Flawless! Matthew and Tony were very accommodating in creating a phenomenal dairy and gluten free 3 course meal and hors d'oeuvres for our wedding. Our meal was exquisite and served timely. Everything was on point, and Emily was incredibly attentive to anything we could possibly need! They packed up and labeled all the extra food, which my guests fought over in the following days. We are still talking about how delicious and perfect it was 5 months later!Food Experience's reply:

Matthew and Food Experience were a joy to work with! Guests raved about the food. Guests also commented that staff gave them far larger portion sizes than they'd expected. The staff set aside separate plates for my husband and I so that we wouldn't forget to eat. Matthew was very professional and answered many emails and questions throughout the planning process. Matthew and Tony's food was delicious! Everyone kept asking for their name if they did carry out. I received a personalized menu that Matthew patiently requoted for me as our numbers changed. Food Experience helped with a lot including table set up, placement, cake cutting. They also made sure that my husband and I each had a full plate at our table when we sat down. So happy that we found them, they were great and so was the food!Food Experience's reply:

We just got married and used Food Experience to help cater our wedding. My favorite part of planning our big day was meeting with the Food Experience staff to sample different meal options. We ended up going with a pasta bar which was a big hit at our outdoor wedding and it was budget friendly. The food was good and the staff was great! We truly enjoyed having the team at Food Experience cater our wedding! They were wonderful from start to finish! We have lots of picky eaters, but we also wanted an elegant dinner for our small wedding at the Inn at Tranquility Farm In Waynesville. Matthew met with me and worked out the menu, and then we had an amazing tasing with Tony and Emily. They were so gracious and gave us lots of recommendations and ideas we hadn’t thought of! We left there soooo stuffed!! And then the day of, they were just awesome! The whole staff was professional and the food was just as expected...delicious!!! Do your self a favor and get the pimento cheese and pretzel bread and also the mini tomato pies for apps....everyone raved about both!Food Experience's reply:

Matthew and Tony with Food Experience in Asheville provided such a memorable spread of local foods for our daughter's wedding that guests are STILL talking about it!! These guys were wonderful to work with, and not only did they provide a wide variety of menus to choose from, but they also were so willing to listen to suggestions and questions that we had. They can also beautifully accommodate common food allergies with absolutely delicious adaptations. The local charcuterie and local cheese board display was magnificent to look at as well as eat, and the passed hors d'oeuvres were so good. The staff was so professional, yet friendly, and very attentive to our guests needs. Prior to the wedding, Matthew met us on site and was incredibly helpful with suggestions for tent set up, placements and arrangements. His experience proved invaluable! All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend Food Experience and Matthew and Tony. They truly exceeded our expectations! -

I can't recommend Food Experienve enough! From start to finish, Matthew and Tony were incredible to work with! Very responsive and helpful during the planning process, and professional to a T.
We initially reached out to Food Experience after failing to find an available local food truck for our wedding. The last thing we wanted was cookie cutter, mass produced wedding food, but rather carefully selected local foods and lots of flavor, so going with a traditional catering company was not originally in the plans, however we couldn't be happier with how everything worked out!
We went to their local kitchen for a tasting and were amazed at the kindness and professionalism with which we were greeted with, as well as the constant stream of amazing foods they presented us. Needless to say, it was difficult to make up our minds when planning the menu.
The food on our wedding day delivered in the same way the tasting did, and even more impressive was the wait staff. The team that arrived at our venue was beyond professional and executed the job with such grace and efficiency. Our guests made many comments to us that the food was amazing, from the appetizers to dinner.

Okay guys. You can stop your hunt for the perfect caterer because ya'll just found them. Food Experience were top notch, hands down the most professional and tasty. Matthew was the most communicative and so helpful with all of our silly questions. Our guests are still raving about the food and the drinks and how the service was spot on. Thank you guys for making our wedding night the best!!!! -

My daughter & fiance (now son in law) met with them & immediately knew this was who they wanted to cater their wedding.
They catered both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.
For the next 11 months Matthew helped us to develop the menu, make adjustments & referred us to numerous other vendors as needed. All of their referrals were spot on!
The food was all delicious & beautifully presented. Tony & Matthew went above & beyond my expectations in every way.
The menu could have been tricky -mostly vegan, local as possible & served at an outside venue without electricity or water!
But they never seemed to be phased - a truly "can do" attitude & a lot of fun to work with.
Matthew responded to ALL of my emails/texts immediately & helpfully - for almost a year. On the day of the wedding if there were problems (like the rain) or many things I hadn't thought thru, he either gave CALM helpful suggestions or if it was last minute, he didnt even tell me about it & just handled it.
Tony & Matthew were always so professional, positive, calm & warm that we never felt in over our heads or even stressed. . Matthew & Tony & their entire team were organized, efficient & creative - especially when the rain collapsed the tents minutes before the ceremony began!! I don't know how they did what they did with sticks & duct tape but when the Bride arrived everything had been taken care of & all were smiling!
Tony, Matthew & their team had such a nice manner in relating to the guests - professional, efficient but always warm & friendly - they just had a great energy!
Obviously I recommend "My Food Experience" without reservation & hope to find a reason to work with them again - or at least
get to attend a function they cater so I can enjoy what they have lovingly prepared. -

Jenny Sent on 12/15/2011This company provided the food, cake, and staffing for my November 2011 wedding. The food was phenomenal. We got the airline chicken and prime rib. They allowed me to supplement the dinner menu with a few dishes of my own, as well as allowing me to do my own hors d'oeuvres to help fray costs. Their staff was friendly. The cake was a little sub-par and the rest of baked goods were great. Helped to do set up and clean up too.
