Jaw Dropping Floral Arrangements

It was such a joy to work with Karen and her team. She made everything easy in what could have been a stressful time. We had so much fun planning out the floral arrangements, and I appreciated what felt like a personalized experience. Karen did a great job at listening to what flowers I liked and heard my feedback. I absolutely fell in love with our floral arrangements, and they were everything that I imagined! My jaw dropped when I saw the bouquets for our wedding party and our centerpieces, and we received so many compliments about them from our wedding guests.

AMAZING! Highly recommend!!!

We were absolutely blown away by the flowers for our July 2023 wedding! Karen was incredible to work with and displayed so much knowledge and passion for what she does. My jaw dropped when I walked into my reception and saw all the beautiful centerpieces & especially the cascading flower display on my wedding cake. It was beyond anything I could have dreamed. Not to mention the bridal bouquet and bridesmaid bouquet were so stunning. I received so many compliments throughout the night on Karen's work. I would recommend Florals by Steen to anyone looking for a wedding florist!! Her prices were reasonable and quality was outstanding!

Above and beyond!!!

We had to significantly downsize our wedding due to the pandemic, but Karen made sure that it was absolutely beautiful. She found a way to make smaller bridesmaids bouquets more beautiful than I could imagine, and the arrangements in the church were above and beyond what we had ever expected. We’ve gotten so many compliments on our wedding flowers, and will absolutely be using Flowers by Steen for our postponed wedding reception next year.

Breath taking

When Christian arrived with my bouquet I immediately asked if Karen was on site. The bouquet had me tearing up it was so beautiful. She did amazing work with out bouquets, corsages, floral arrangements and boutonnières. We received so many compliments.

Lovely Arrangements

Loved, loved, loved all the flowers at my wedding! Karen paid attention to every detail and created the bouquets and arrangements exactly how I invisioned them. During our meeting, she listened to how I wanted the flowers, brought out colors to see if that's what I wanted, and took detailed notes. The week before the wedding I needed to make a color change, and Karen was able to accommodate that. Guests and bridemaids talked about how pretty the arrangements were! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Flowers! Karen is the best!!

My husband and I got married on Sept 14, 2019. We ran into problems with the previous florist we had for our special day. We were trying to create a vision we had with the previous florist, but she just couldn't handle it and did not understand. Thank goodness we met Flowers by Steen (Karen). I showed her a photo of what I wanted. She said "Hmmm...no problem..I will be right back!" She went to the back to search for flowers, and when she came back out to show me what she came up with -- it actually looked even BETTER than the google photo I brought with me. All bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, floral arrangements for guest tables at reception, etc. just looked absolutely beautiful! Thank you so so much! You do such a great job, Karen!!

Stunning, easy, affordable!

As flowers go, it is truly one of the most important details of a wedding, and can make or break your vision. Karen has done two of my kids weddings. Both were totally different. She understands the brides vision and makes it come to life with her amazingly beautiful arrangements! We couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

Out-of State bride

I have to start by saying that my expectations were blown out of the ballpark. By the time I found Flowers by Steen Productions I had already had about 7 other consultations with nearby florists for my wedding. With being an out-of-state bride, this made things a bit more tricky and no other florist had the confidence or the vision that Karen and her team were able to give me. Karen and I had an initial call to run through the general wedding options and told me that she was capable of working with me even though I was out of state. We scheduled a follow up meeting to dive into the vision for my wedding, budget, and what she could do for me. During that call, I got the feeling that Karen had a strong grasp of what I wanted without even meeting me in person. We communicated via email several times to nail down color swatches, flower types, and miscellaneous rental pieces for the event. By the time I flew in (a month before the wedding) to meet with Karen for our final consultation, all we had to do was piece together the final touches and bouquet a sizes (which are tough to nail down via pictures). Everything Karen showed me in person was exactly what I envisioned from our earlier calls and meetings. I left the final meeting feeling more confident about our flowers for the wedding than any other rental or vendor. The day of the event, the flowers for the women were dropped off at one location and the flowers for the men were dropped off at another and the venue flowers were dropped off and set up and the event space. There is nothing else to say other than that I was blown away by how beautiful and well done each floral piece was (and how sturdy/well put together they were). I really never knew how important flowers were for an event until then. I received more compliments on our flowers than any other aspect or decor' at the wedding. Karen and her team took no shortcuts to make my vision a reality. I have heard stories of other brides bouquets falling apart or coming undone and figured that was just something to expect with all florists. That never happened in this case. I have already referred Karen to several of the other soon-to-be brides in my life and will continue to do so. I cannot say enough good things about Flowers By Steen Productions.

Amazing floor shop!

Flowers by Steen was one of my favorite vendors that I used for my wedding. She had so many great ideas and understood what my wants/needs were. She worked with your budget and didn’t try to sell you on anything that you didn’t really need. I was so incredibly happy with how the flowers turned out. They were abolsutely beautiful. They also decorated the chapel for our ceremony, which, again, they did a great job.

Wedding Flowers

My husband and I recently used Flowers by Steen for our wedding day and we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a florist. One of my friends used them for her wedding day and after seeing their flowers I knew I had to book them for my wedding! I know absolutely nothing about flowers and completely relied on Flowers by Steen’s expertise – Karen (the owner) was super patient and walked me through everything. She took the time during our consultation to go over different types of flowers, textures, and arrangements to make sure I understood all my options. The flowers themselves turned out beautiful – centerpieces were perfect and my bouquet was gorgeous. I plan to dry it out and preserve it in a shadowbox so I can keep it forever! I would definitely recommend Flowers by Steen to anyone looking for a professional florist for their wedding.

Best decision I made!

I cannot say enough how happy I am with Karen and Flowers by Steen. I booked Karen very early on in my planning process and wasn't entirely sure of my vision yet. Karen somehow managed to totally "get" what I wanted through a few photos and my vague descriptions of what I did and didn't want. I didn't have a planner and she was super helpful throughout the process helping me figure out what table linens were best and what decorations might be needed as she had experience in our venue. When I arrived at my venue we pulled in behind Karen's delivery van and I teared up for the first time that day at how beautiful the flowers were. I loved everything she did. It was so much more than what I even hoped for and I still comment on how beautiful my bouquet was in the couple sneak peeks I've gotten from the photographer every time I look at them. Honestly, I can't say enough that this was the best decision I made for my wedding. I HIGHLY recommend Karen and Flowers by Steen.

Karen was great to work with! I kind of came to her last minute to her with a job. I needed flower arrangements for my wedding and I can tell she worked with Brides all the time. With me being out of town we worked out everything and she made it happen! Her crew came and set everything up the afternoon of my wedding, My bouquets, boutonnières and centerpieces came out wonderful and the flowers were so fresh! Everyone loved it! I recommend going to Flowers by Steen Productions in Homer Glen! Very professional and is worth every penny!

I'm not sure where to begin with Flower by Steen, from Karen organizing all of my many thoughts of what i wanted our flowers and overall decor to look like at our wedding ceremony and reception, to her allowing me to bring in my own Olive Trees and then decorating them for me, to answering all my random questions, to adding a flower wall the week of my wedding, and then finally to her so sweetly helping me get down the aisle and organizing my girls for me. I didn't know I needed Karen in my life until the day after my wedding when it finally set in how amazing her and her company is. You, hands-down-without-a-doubt, will not go wrong with selecting Karen and Flowers by Steen to do your wedding decor. She did such a beautiful job, that I will forever be grateful for her. Book Flowers by Steen NOW! Do not looking any farther than Karen and her team for your big day. Their vision, work, talent, and care will make the floral piece of your wedding day (or any event in which flowers are needed) absolutely perfect. I never once had to stress about the flowers being on time, in the right place, looking good, etc... We showed up at the church and it was perfect and then to the reception hall and it was perfect. Below you will see the rite of peace flowers. Those were our mom's favorite flowers. A small part of the big day that Karen made so special. Each piece was above and beyond our expectation. When we first met with Karen, I explained how I didn't want to spend too much on flowers and they weren't extremely important to me. My two main wishes were that my bouquet and my husband's boutonnière are freeze dried so we will have them forever. Not only did she accomplish that, the flowers put me into to tears the day of our wedding. For someone who didn't have much of a vision, Karen and her team's work was breathtaking.

When I arrived for my consultation with Karen, I didn't know much of what I wanted for the flowers for my wedding. Using the wedding colors, and our budget, Karen started pulling a few flowers from the back area and bringing them out to show me and put together an idea of what they would look like. Even with just a few of them, they looked incredible! After that point, she had written down the types of flowers that we talked about and had full control over everything else. The flowers arrived right on time, and we ready in time for pictures to start before the ceremony. Working with her was such an easy, wonderful experience!

Karen Steen from Flowers By Steen blew myself and my husband away! Flowers were not at the top of our list when it came to wedding planning. This comes from knowing nothing about flowers and constantly thinking it was another thing we could just do ourselves. After watching a bride go through her own wedding and doing her own flowers for it we got a much better idea of the incredible amount of work involved and decided to set a budget and meet with Karen.
We were planning a wedding away from our hometown and while it took a while to schedule an appointment (our distance and lack of availability combined with her schedule) we did finally find a time to make it work and we are so glad it did.
Karen is the very definition of professionalism! From the moment we stepped into her shop she took the reigns and led us through the process of picking out flowers and centerpieces. She listened to and respected our budget and still managed to get every aspect of our wedding covered. There were many things we were planning on skipping (boutonnieres for the guy side for example) but since they could be fit well into our budget and she had styles we loved we went ahead with a lot more than we planned on without spending extra. She also had a ton of extra tips for getting the very most out of your flowers and budget.
During our first meeting she had many photos of the centerpiece and aisle work she had done and worked closely with our color scheme and overall look of the wedding to make a beautiful floral vision appear out of thin air. The entire process was painless for my husband and I and I am still gushing over how stunning my bouquet was. Parts of it literally sparkled! She also accommodated a last minute wedding-day-of change of plans and delivered the bride side flowers to a new location.
I could not have been happier with our flower choice!

Karen and the rest of the crew at Flowers By Steen were amazing! When I met Karen she brought out books, ribbon samples, vases, and actual flowers to show me how she would arrange the flowers. I knew that I had to book her! On wedding day when our bouquets arrived at my house while we were getting ready, I was speechless! The flowers turned out so beautiful! I did not want to put my bouquet down! We chose to have the full service delivery and set up. Nadia was incredible with setting up for the ceremony and reception! When we walked in to the reception for the first time, I was again in awe of their work! Each centerpiece was put together beautifully and each one was slightly different! To say Karen (and Flowers by Steen) was amazing to work with, is an understatement. She has been phenomenal! Her work is outstanding; gorgeous designs, flowers, bouquets, garland, centerpieces. Our guests were WOW'd - from the church to the venue. She is professional; always mindful of our budget and giving us plenty of options along the way. Karen is so kind and humble!!! When you have to work with someone for a year, I believe it's important to have someone that will be easy to work with and respectful - which is everything Karen was and more. My husband and I planned our wedding from New York, which, as difficult as that sounds, she made it easy and was always available to us. The hurricane interfered with them getting one of the flowers for my bridal bouquet. Karen called the day before to tell me, but she replaced it with anther flower and it all looked amazing! No one even knew anything was different!

I loved the flowers! My sister had used them for her wedding as well so I knew they did great work. I went there with one blue flower in mind that I loved and they made everything look beautiful with that flower. It was so nice to see the final product on the wedding day. I didn't have to worry about a thing. They were on time to all locations to drop of flowers and set up the center pieces. They are also very responsive with communication. I ended up getting invitations through them as well at a discounted price since I had purchased flowers. My friend and my brother ended up using them as well for their wedding and everything was beautiful. All around I would continue to recommend them.

Working with Karen was a dream! I had initially met with her about a year and a half before my wedding and knew right away she was who I wanted to work with. We went over my vision for the day and after only short time together, it was clear she knew exactly what I was looking for. Fast forward to about 5 months till the wedding and I met with her for a 2nd and final time. I left confident knowing the day would be executed perfectly – which is exactly what happened! When I first started wedding planning, I really did not want to hire a florist and I really wanted to DIY the decorations myself with fake flowers to save money. Once I came to my senses and realized how difficult that would be since I live in San Francisco and had my wedding in Joliet, IL, I scoured Weddingwire and other recommendations from friends to get quotes from several local florists. Flowers by Steen was the only florist I met with that was able to stay well below my initial budget and suggest different local flowers for me to use for my spring wedding to keep me there. Communicating with Karen was very easy and meeting with her was really enjoyable. I know absolutely nothing about flowers or wedding decorations, nor did I have the time to learn since I live so far away from where I held my wedding. It also helped that Flowers by Steen is a preferred vendor of my wedding venue, so Karen really knew the property extremely well. In fact, she had even done the flowers for my wedding planner, Anna's, wedding at the same venue when Anna had gotten married a couple months before my wedding. When I saw the pictures of her wedding and how beautiful everything had looked, I absolutely knew I had made the right choice. To be honest, I just let Karen do her thing and gave her minimal direction with what I wanted and everything came out incredibly beautiful. I will definitely try to use her flower shop in the future to sent bouquets to family and friends in the years to come!

I looked through all her pictures available online and absolutely loved how everything looked; I knew I needed to contact to set up a time to meet. Going into the meeting I knew what kind of flowers I liked and didn’t like, I had a very generic/general idea of the look for the centerpieces but I didn’t know how I wanted everything to come together. During the meeting Karen was so helpful in trying to figure out exactly what I liked, from the colors to the types of flowers, and even helped me narrow down the centerpiece ideas. I contacted Karen many times throughout my planning process; I changed things and added things. Karen was always so patient and so helpful. I was also impressed and EXTREMELY appreciative on how professional Karen was. My mother-in-law contacted her, and I didn’t know, and added a wristlet and boutonniere to my order. Karen called me right away and asked if it was okay that she added these. Karen knew who her client was and wanted to make sure that nothing would jeopardize that relationship.
As we got closer to the wedding, Karen made a mock centerpiece for me. I was floored at how AMAZING the centerpiece looked. I kept thinking back to our initial meeting and how little information I provided her and she created these brilliant centerpieces from nothing! I couldn’t believe how gorgeous they turned out. Seeing the mock centerpieces made me so much more excited for my wedding and eased any apprehensions of how the flowers would look on the day of the wedding.

Flowers by Steen was recommended by my venue. We had previously stopped at another florist, which my aunt thought was the one, but I wasn't sold because the woman seemed disinterested and i didn't think she was giving me very good suggestions.

When I first went to Flowers by Steen, I brought pictures of bouquets I'd seen on pinterest, and told her about some of my favorite flowers and the colors of my wedding. She knew what would be in season, and for the ones that weren't, she had amazing recommendations (I had never even heard of garden roses, and they were beautiful!). we both left extremely impressed and happy, and I knew as soon as we left that this was the place.

After booking, and closer to the wedding, I made many changes, and added many many flower arrangements; I also gave her styrofoam pumpkins that I asked her to use as a vase for flower arrangements... we came loaded with a box of vases and ideas, and she took it all and on the day of my wedding I could have fainted. My bouquet was even better than I had imagined, the girls bouquets were gorgeous, and the arrangements that were placed around my venue were the prettiest flower arrangements I have ever seen in my life. I had a vision, and Karen Steen and her crew managed to surpass it. I still have a bouquet on my desk at work because I couldn't bear to part with the beauty they had created. Thank goodness for pictures!

My flowers were absolutely gorgeous!!! I cannot rave enough about them. Karen had wonderful ideas too like wrapping my bouquet with the straps I cut off my wedding dress, it looked awesome. She also was money conscious and gave me ideas how we can use bouquets in some places and move them as the night went on so I didn't just buy unnecessary flowers. They were so detail oriented and I cannot stress enough how beautiful my bouquets came out. Highly recommend !!!

Karen was so great to work with!!! I'm not a big flower person and left it all in her hands! Karen and her staff is amazing. The personal treatment made us feel like we were her only clients (but we weren't; not by a longshot!). My daughter had a "vision" for her Country Vintage wedding, but was afraid she wouldn't be able to convey what she wanted despite all the Pintrest photos. Karen was amazing and ran with our ideas. The flowers were above and beyond our wildest expectations! Karen was cognizant about what my daughter wanted and what was available for that time of the year (Fall). Honestly, her flowers were truly special and made the entire wedding feel so custom and unique. Everyone at the reception was hoping to grab flowers to take home after the wedding! Karen pulled off the Country Vintage look with and exquisite elegance my daughter couldn't convey, and even made mom (me) incredibly happy. If you want a spectacular wedding display unlike anything anyone else has done, go see Karen. Oh, and she was less expensive than any of the other 7 vendors we interviewed! Bravo, Flowers by Steen! Karen is a true artist with flowers. I had some ideas about what I wanted the overall look of the flowers to be, as well as a color scheme, and Karen turned those ideas into gorgeous arrangements! Flowers by Steen, Karen, was referred to me by a co-worker. She is very attentive to answer your inquiries and set up a meeting with you. When I met with Karen, I had no idea what I really wanted. I showed her some flower arrangement photos I had found on Pinterest, and she gave me tons of ideas. I am not very familiar with the names of many flowers, she had helpful books with pictures at her office to help me visualize what the arrangements would look like. I couldn't have been happier with how my flowers turned out! She does a GREAT job, very inexpensive, and has great ideas. My "eclectic" flower arrangement turned out better than I had ever imagined!

Where do I even begin..! From day one the experience was amazing- Karen (the owner) was absolutely amazing! She was so incredibly helpful when picking out all my flowers and arrangements styles- I came in with a vision that I didn't know how to explain and she perfected it! I used the company for my wedding- and I was beyond satisfied--- we did both ceremony and reception flowers and it was by far my favorite part of the beauty of my wedding. Not only was everything absolutely gorgeous, but it was all very affordable! Karen does whatever she can to reuse parts to keep the cost down- which I really appreciated! Karen did an amazing job with our flowers. I wanted hawaiian orchid centerpieces and they turned out absolutely gorgeous (and she gave me a better price on the orchids than anyone else I met with). On my wedding day, her assistant arrived with the bouquets while I was in hair and makeup she made sure I got a chance to look at everything and approve before she left. I thought that was great! Aside from everything looking so beautiful in the end, Karen was great to work with! Always quick to respond to questions and willing to offer help and advise. I would definitely recommend Flowers by Steen.

Karen could not have been better to work with, and our flowers couldn't have been more beautiful! From the beginning she was friendly, and enthusiastic about the flowers for our wedding. She really listened to the style and theme I wanted, and came up with the most beautiful bouquets and center pieces. Karen is organized and easy to work with. I knew very little about different types of flowers and she showed me pictures, mock up arrangements and worked to help me feel not only comfortable but thrilled and excited about the flowers we chose! Stunning, amazing, just absolutely more than we could ask for… a few words we feel describe the floral décor, arrangements, boutonnieres and bouquets designed by Flowers By Steen for our May wedding. Without a doubt, the flowers were the most complimented part of our fabulous wedding day. Karen Steen outdid herself, yet again (she did the flowers for a number of our friends/families weddings), and from day one, really listened to what we envisioned, and then nailed it! Karen and her team put their hearts and souls into every wedding they service. It was obvious to us, no arrangement goes out the door unless perfect. We cannot wait to see our professional photographs, because the pictures of the flowers taken by our family and friends are amazing! Flowers By Steen’s pricing was close to or under competitors rates, however if it’s a difference of a few hundred dollars, we encourage you to spend the extra money. It is well worth it and you will not be sorry you spent each and every last cent on Flowers By Steen’s creations. They also worked with us on our invitations, which came out perfect as well (and we had a tough, custom order). We don’t typically write reviews, however Flowers By Steen’s work deserved a glowing, perfect review. We cannot thank them enough.

You get the most bang for your buck here! Karen is an amazing artist. On our first meeting we discussed what we wanted and I already had counts of certain items. She talked me out of any arrangements besides the unity candle one once I showed her pictures of our church and how ornate and beautiful it is. I never heard of anyone not wanting extra income, so we appreciated that she never out sold anything and she was right. No one said anything that we didn't have flowers at the church and they said the bows that Karen made for us were a nice touch and the unity candle display was beautiful which turned into our head table display between my husband and I. After our second meeting I was still unsure of the plain ivory roses I picked for my bouquet and Karen suggested adding in tea roses in champagne and other similar shades which gave such great dimension. When the flowers arrived to our room we were so happy with how they looked and it was perfect for the bridesmaids. The groomsmen all looked amazing and the grandmothers were so happy we had something for them to wear too which were the comfortable wrist bracelets. My mom also ordered a boutonniere and bouquet for my sister's prom back in May and then a last minute large floral bouquet for her graduation in June. All of her friends liked her's the best because it matched her dress perfectly and she had unique blue flowers and berries, as well as dusted silver glitter leaves it truly matched her dress perfectly. So, as you can see Karen is now our preferred family florist because she is amazing and her designs are unique.

Karen is absolutely fabulous! I cannot say enough good things about her. She is so helpful and friendly and very reasonably priced. She took the time to really get to know us and understand the vision we had for our wedding. She turned our vision into more than we could ever have imagined and the flowers were out of this world! They were so gorgeous! Everything I ever dreamed of and more. We got so many compliments on the flowers and the bouquets. Karen took care of all the set up and take down that we didn't have to worry about a thing. She turned our wedding into a fairytale and we couldn't be happier.

Karen Steen did my flowers for my wedding last month. They turned out beautiful! Karen scheduled an initial meeting with me to get together ideas of what I wanted to do, and then a few months later she put together a "mock" centerpiece to show me what it would look like. I was very impressed because we made some major changes at our last meeting and when I showed up to the reception they looked PERFECT. All of the flowers were high quality and very tasteful, and her prices are very reasonable. Everybody at my wedding commented on how beautiful the flowers looked. I will definitely recommend her and her team.

Karen from Flowers by Steen provided us with our unity candle arrangement, visitation to Mary flowers, church decorations, toss bouquet, and personal flowers for the bridal party, parents, and grandparents. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL. From the start, Karen was the best. She listened to what we wanted, took into consideration our tastes and budget, and then helped us find a way to stay within both. The substitutions that she made to flower preferences after showing us samples and pictures saved us a lot of money, but took nothing away from quality. Everyone commented on how beautiful and fragrant the flowers were. Karen delivered the flowers a few minutes earlier than expected, communicated questions and answers to me promptly, and was more than willing to work with me as I needed to add usher boutonnieres, pew bows, etc. as our wedding date came near.

My flowers were gorgeous! It was a bouquet filled with autumnal colored roses, calla lilies, greens, and berries. The suggestions that Karen made were dead-on. The bouquet she created exceeded my expectations in all ways. She even went so far as to find peacock colored pins for the wrapping of the stems in my bouquet to match the wedding colors. I can't say enough great things about Karen. Her work, her flowers, and her flexible nature make her the very best!

I had Karen from Flowers by Steen provide all the flowers for my wedding. Karen was so helpful and very friendly to work with. All the flowers turn out exactly as we wanted. I was undecided on what I wanted for the reception table centerpieces and Karen offered great ideas and helped come up with the perfect centerpieces. Karen was very flexible. The day before the wedding we found out the venue had planted flowers already in the outside planters which were not expected to be done at that time. Since we thought these would be empty we had told Karen to make 4 big flower arrangements for these. We called Karen the evening before the wedding and she said no problem she would just change the size and style of the arrangements to be able to sit on four free standing pillars. Everything turned out beautiful.

Karen is wonderful. Prior to the wedding, she went through all of the wedding day details to make sure the flowers would go perfectly with our wedding day. My bouquet was unbelieveable. She went above and beyond anything I could have ever expected. My bouquet alone looked like it costed upwards of $500, although I did not even pay half of that. I got so many compliments on my bouquet on my wedding day. The bridesmaids bouquets were also perfect. The week prior to my wedding she called to let me know that the peonies (which were the sole flower in the bridesmaids bouquets and our centerpieces) were smaller than she anticipated and would not provide the effect I was looking for. She offered to add extra flowers to my bridesmaids bouquets for free and even made arrangements for extra flowers in the centerpieces if the peonies were not going to be sufficient. I am so glad that I trusted Karen because everything was perfect on our wedding day. She is very professional and very attentive. We also did purchase the "full service package" and would also recommend this. Karen's assistant took the time to pin all the guy's flowers to their jackets to make sure that they would look perfect in photos. They also took care of bringing all of the arrangements over to the reception hall from the church after the ceremony. We couldn't be happier with our wedding flowers! :)

She was extremely patient and understanding during our planning process and provided her expert opinion to help guide us in the right direction. We have overwhelming heard one word from our guests regarding our flowers "STUNNING"! We would have to agree! We are not well versed in flowers and we were a bit worried about how the final arrangements would look but, Karen graciously provided us with samples to help ease our minds. On the day of the wedding she definitely managed to exceed anything we could have pictured! Everything was gorgeous and the centerpieces were still beautiful on our families dining room tables even a week later when we returned from our honeymoon!

I cannot rave enough about Karen and Flowers by Steen!! I got married at the Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet, and she was on their List of Vendors. My girlfriend and I went to her home office which was very personable. I do not know much about flowers, but I was clear on the look I wanted for my special day. Karen was thorough and patient. She is a great listener, and she provided several options for my bouquets and floral arrangements. The day of my wedding---Beautiful! Stunning! Gorgeous! All of the flowers provided were abundant and fresh. The colors were bold, coordinated, and exactly what I had discussed with Karen months prior to the wedding. Everyone loved their bouquets and corsages, and several guests asked to take home some of the flowers. I highly recommend Flowers by Steen for your wedding or special event...Karen is a true professional with a fantastic product! The bonus...my fiancee and I also went to Flowers by Steen to get our invitations done! Karen is so wonderful! I got my invitations and flowers through her. First, she is SO helpful with the invitations. She talks with you about so many things that other places wouldn't even mention. She's so honest about pricing and what's worth paying for and what you don't really need. Now on to the flowers. I get SO many compliments on my flower in pictures I have from my wedding. Karen is so creative. When you meet with her you just tell her a few things and it's like she instantly in your head and knows what your thinking. She has SO many ideas. And she HONEST. If a flower is more pricey she'll tell you, if it doesn't work, she'll tell you. I loved that she was so honest with me. It really made me feel good knowing she wanted the best for me. She did such an amazing job and now she's doing my sister's wedding. I can't wait to see what she comes up with again. I highly highly recommend Karen. Karen Steen is one of the best florist's I have ever seen. She did a beautiful job on my flowers for our wedding. Her prices were great and affordable. Everyone that came to our wedding said they have never seen such beautiful flowers; I have referred over 3 people to her. She is easy to work with and worked around my schedule. Karen did the flowers flowers for my daughter's wedding. My daughter wanted a vintage look. Karen captured her idea beautifully. Her creations were phenomenal!!! The bouquets were made of peonies, roses, garden roses and many other lovely flowers and greens. The church looked lovely and the reception hall was stunning. I can't say enough about Karen's talent with flowers!

Karen was absolutely amazing! From our first appointment where I gave her a vague idea of my vision and she pulled out EXACTLY what I was thinking, to the wedding day photos showing her amazing work! She worked with my sister for her wedding, so I knew that she was very talented. I would definitely recommend Karen with Flowers by Steen. When meeting with Karen I had a few ideas but wasn't really sure what I wanted or needed. Karen made several suggestions and talked me through the whole process. On my wedding day everything looked absolutely beautiful. I loved my center pieces as well as the flowers she used for my ceremony arch and pillars. Her assistants were a huge help on the day of the wedding and made me feel at ease that everything was being set up accordingly. My only minor complaint would be that the response time on emails and phone calls was not always prompt. I will say that it was the start of a busy season so that could be why. Overall I would highly recommend Flowers by Steen.
