Fantastic Flowers

Flowers by Laurel was recommended from the Wayfarers Chapel. They had specific requirements about the pew flowers and they were fantastic. They also were able to make the boutonniere for the groom, groomsmen and ring bearers. I kept it very simple just white roses and hydrangea for the pew flowers as the venue needed very little. The boutonniere's we perfect, little white roses. They delivered and placed the flowers like little elves. Didn't even see it happen. I would definitely hire these ladies for any of your floral needs.

The most beautiful florals!

They did the most amazing job, I asked for tropical and my venue looked like something straight out of Fiji or Hawaii. They absolutely nailed it and we’re so easy to work with! They had extensive knowledge and really understood what I was looking for! So floored by how it turned out!

We were so pleased!

Since day one I felt like I was in good hands and that's hard to do given that there's really nothing they can sample for you with a particular flower or color scheme. I was beyond worried hiring a florist for our wedding day but working with Lovorka and Isabelle I was completely at ease. I sent ideas and flowers that were must haves and they created such beautiful designs. Trust their craft!

Wonderful flowers!

We hired Lovorka and Isabelle as our florists for our wedding, and we were blown away by how amazing the flowers were. All of the guests at our wedding commented on how beautiful our flowers were, and we were very happy as well. Both Lovorka and Isabelle are very professional, and it was a pleasure to work with them. I would highly recommend them, and you won't regret it if you hire them for your wedding!

Absolute Perfection

If you’re looking for perfect flower arrangements for your wedding day, look no further! I used Flowers by Laurel for my wedding in December. Due to Covid restrictions in CA I was unable to have my wedding ceremony inside the Church. I was so nervous as to how the outdoor ceremony would turn out. Lovorka and her daughter Isabelle completely transformed my outdoor Church service into a truly stunning setting. They were even able to work quickly on their feet and adjust to last minute set up changes that arose during the rehearsal. I will forever be in awe of how beautiful it looked. Lovorka has such a talent of taking your vision and completely exceeding your expectations. Every single arrangement looked like it was out of a magazine. Working with Flowers by Laurel was the smoothest part of my wedding planning. Not only are they professional and punctual, but their talent radiates from each and every bouquet.

Absolutely beautiful

We were impressed with Flowers by Laurel from our very first meeting with them. They had come highly recommended by both our reception hotel and our photographer, and we found that Kris was warm and knowledgeable. She quickly put together ideas for our daughter’s ceremony and reception flowers that were beautiful and within our budget. When COVID restrictions resulted in churches being closed, our daughter had no choice but to postpone her wedding. Lovorka, the owner, put us at ease. She even assured us that the flowers we had chosen for a June wedding would still work in November. Through all of the constantly changing restrictions, and with the need to move both the ceremony and reception outdoors, Flowers by Laurel patiently adapted. From the time that Lovorka’s daughter Isabel delivered the stunning bouquets and personal flowers, we knew that the results would be spectacular. Isabel was always on time, and worked closely with both the church and hotel to make sure that the flowers were perfect. In the end, the gorgeous flowers transformed the outdoor space for the wedding Mass. Our reception centerpieces were also absolutely beautiful. Our wedding guests were amazed and we received many compliments. We are grateful to Flowers by Laurel for helping to make our daughter’s wedding extra special under difficult conditions.

Beautiful flowers wonderful people

Amazing from start to finish. The first meeting we had with lavorka and kris we could tell immediately how patient, kind and knowledge they both were. My partner and I weren't exactly sure which flowers we wanted for our wedding but they were able to help us come up with the most perfect arrangements that fit our personalities and our venue perfectly. We had been thinking of having an "A" frame or triangle as our alter but they didn't have one. Instead of steering us in another direct they had one made and it was incredible. We loved it. It was exactly what we had envisioned and more. All of the floral arrangements were so beautiful. The flowers really made the venue even more gorgeous and day even more special and meaningful. Not only did kris and lavorka create the most amazing flowers for us but they were also so great to work with. They were always available to answer any questions we had and they were so accommodating. They understood that we were working with a budget and they helped us where ever they could. We are SO happy that we choose flowers by laurel to be our florist for our wedding. We will be sure to use them again for any event we have in the future.

Outstanding!

Kris and Lavorka at Flowers By Laurel were wonderful to work with for our May wedding! They were prompt to reply to my inquiry and to initiate our first phone video consultation. I provided photos of flowers that I liked, which helped them understand my vision, and they were able to suggest flowers that would work according to season. They made the planning process easy because they are so professional, knowledgeable and dedicated. Wow! They did a magnificent job! They created spectacular, breathtakingly beautiful fragrant flower arrangements and candle décor for the tables at our formal sit-down dinner wedding reception; and the sight of the adorned tables stirred my emotions. They also created gorgeous flower displays at the church, my bridal and maid of honor bouquets, my husband’s boutonnière, and for our wedding attendants. My husband and I were extremely pleased and impressed, and we highly recommend them.

Flowers by Laurel completely nailed it on our wedding day! Everything was truly perfect! It was such a pleasure working with Kris. She helped us so much by showing us examples of different shapes, sizes, flower types, etc. One thing we felt really strongly about was that our flower arch be very full. We were blown away by how beautifully it turned out! It was exactly what we had pictured. At the end of the night, my husband and I both agreed that out of everything, we had to admit we were the most pleased with the flowers! My bouquet was gorgeous, the centerpieces were lovely, and our arch was perfection! Thank you Flowers by Laurel for helping create our dream wedding!

Fabulous to work with! I love the way the flowers turned out - GORGEOUS!!! I had asked for red Dahlias and Ranunculus with some white accent flowers & greenery......I was blown away by the arrangements - the Bouquets, Corsages & Boutonnieres were just as stunning as the centerpieces!

STUNNING AND BREATHTAKING!!!! Lovorka is so sweet and kind it made working with her a pleasure. Her attention to detail and her many years of experience we knew were were in good hands. During our meeting she never started with asking us our budget as many florist around the area did. She first asked us what ideas we had, what type of flowers we were thinking of having and gave us some recommendations. Once we told her our budget she never said no to our ideas but gave us recommendations of what type of flowers were in season and would work to give us the same effect we were looking for based on our budget. Lovorka and Kris went above and beyond of what we had imagined. Everyone's jaw dropped and were amazed over how luxurious and dramatic our centerpieces were. What they did was far beyond our dreams and a month later seeing our album we are still in love with the beautiful work they did. It was truly a fairy tale wedding. If you are looking for not only beautiful flowers but someone who has the love and passion for what they do, you can't go wrong with choosing Flowers By Laurel for one of the most important days of your life.

The flowers at our wedding were to die for. Lovorka completely exceeded our expectations with her design, knowledge, and friendliness. She is a master at what she does and I really trusted what she told me would work well together. When I saw my flowers I was so overcome with emotion as they were so beautiful and more than what I could have ever asked for. She even went out of her way to look for a specific vase I wanted downtown. Thank you to Lovorka and Kris for creating such beautiful pieces for our wedding and being so easy to work with.

Flowers by Laurel is AH-MAZING! If you are looking for someone who can bring your vision to life, look no further. Lovorka is truly the best. Everything she creates is customized to your vision. I had shown her inspiration photos of what I wanted and was not disappointed. From my custom arch, to all of the reception flowers and décor, everything was PERFECT. I can't say enough great things about Flowers by Laurel. My sister used them for her wedding flowers and I loved the work they did so much that I decided to go with them for my wedding as well. Lovorka exceeded our expectations with absolutely stunning flower arrangements. Lovorka at Flowers by Laurel is truly an artist. She made our wedding so visually stunning, and went above and beyond our expectations. Not only were the bouquets and boutonnieres and centerpieces gorgeous, she also designed the arch we got married under. She has great unique ideas (smaller bouquets for the mom's instead of the traditional corsage, a flower wreath for the flower girl, a flower bracelet for our speakers during the ceremony) and truly made our vision of what we wanted come alive. In addition to the flowers, she decorated our tables beautifully with votive candles. Lovorka is by far the best business and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great florist!

I had searched a perfect florist for my wedding without success. I went to a wedding show at Los Verdes Golf course and met Flowers by Laurel. Lovorka took her time to talk to me in regards to all the flowers that she offered. She asked what my vision was for my wedding and really took the time to find out more about me as an individual. I set up an appointment with her and after viewing all of the beautiful flowers I signed the contract the same day. On the day of my wedding I couldn't be more happy with my flowers from my bouquet to my center pieces my wedding looked like a dream. As soon as I entered the ballroom the smell of roses possessed me. It was so beautiful in the ballroom and the flowers were the icing on the cake. I literally cried. The romantic beach feel had came to life right before my eyes and Lovoka is to thank for the beauty. I cannot thank Lovorka enough for all of her time and effort that she put into making my wedding look breath taking. She is truly an amazing soul with a creative heart. If you are looking for someone who will take her time and fully take in all of what your visions and bring them to life. I highly recommend Flowers with Laurel.

I had gone to a couple florists and had consultations, but when I met Lavorka I was sold. I told her what I wanted originally and since she's been in the business so long, she made the best suggestions. I had originally wanted a redder bouquet for myself because my bridesmaids were going to be dressed in red. She explained that since I am wearing ivory/white, all the focus would not be on me, but my red flowers because they would be the pop of color. I am an art history major, and after thinking about it, it makes total sense! I paid attention to some other bridal photos and I noticed my eyes wanted to travel to the red bouquet. She has been in this industry for 20+ years, you can trust her recommendations completely. If you really want a red bouquet she'll do it... she'll just explain it's not the best. Mine had wonderful soft pink peonies, soft white roses, little tiny springs of green hydrangeas. It went so well with my dress that any pictures besides dancing, I made sure I had it, besides my veil and crown, top accessory. My bridesmaids bouquets came out exactly like I imagined with awesome circus roses. Our mom's instead of funny pin on flowers, had their own little mini bouquets that matched mine. Did I mention that she is so awesome that we hired her for my bridal shower too? Both events looked like something out of a magazine. At my bridal shower everyone was floored by how amazing it looked, my mom did an excellent job at the high tea theme, but the flowers pushed it over the top. I can't say enough about how awesome both events turned out. You cannot over look your flowers! They are that big "detail" that goes a long way in creating the atmosphere of your big day!

Working with Lovorka was a dream. The second my mom and I walked into her shop, there was an instant connection. It felt as though we'd known her for years. Lovorka treated me as if I was the only bride in the world. She is professional, friendly, and incredibly creative! I told her my vision and what she created was pure magic. Many brides say their wedding was a blur...I'm not any different. However, I vividly remember every single amazing detail of my Sahara roses. Vintage, romantic, delicate, and timeless are words I would use to describe my flowers. No one else could have done this with such love. I remember asking Lovorka if she gets sad when her flowers die. She responded that she doesn't get sad because they've served their purpose. I never knew how powerful flowers' purpose could be until my wedding day. My dried bouquet and pictures are all I have left of my beautiful roses, but I am so grateful to have met a person like Lovorka! Flowers by Laurel will make your wedding the most memorable, beautiful experience!

I was blown away with the detail and attentiveness of Lovorka. She really listens to what the bride has in mind and even though I wasn't able to explain very well what I wanted she knew exactly what my tastes were! I would recommend her to everyone.

Flowers by Laurel were the most gourgeous flowers I've ever seen. The wedding was vintage and arrangenents and the roses created the most romantic image. The vintage lace and the candles just added to the beauty. Her flowers were exquisite. I recommend flowers by laurel 100 + %. Thank you Dolly Cowen

We absolutely loved working with Laurel at 'Flowers by Laurel!' We totally enjoyed going to her studio to pick out wedding flowers. Laurel is so enthusiastic and full of ideas. She has a multitude of photos on her computer so we were able to see exactly what she would provide. She had so many great ideas to help us define the exact wedding we were looking for. She was always mindful of our budget while selecting the perfect flowers and colors for the look we wanted. On the wedding day, we were blown away by what she had created--more beautiful than we imagined. I have never seen such huge lilies! The color combinations in the bouquets were more beautiful than we imagined. She took our vague ideas and turned them into a dream wedding. She even stayed after the decorating was done and offered to wire orchids for the girls' hair. The flowers were done quickly and beautifully....I cannot recommend Flowers by Laure highly enough.

Lovorka at Flowers by Laurel is the most creative and professional florist we came across in researching florists for our wedding. Once we met with her, we knew she was the one who could create exactly the look and feel we envisioned with our flowers. We wanted a lot of candles next to our floral centerpieces and she came up with a multi-layered look (hi and low vases) with floating candles and seashells at the bottom of each vase to match our beach theme. She detailed our order and each piece she would create with the price for each, so we knew exactly what we were getting, which made us feel very comfortable. She even offered to bring a special flower for my hair to the hotel on wedding morning, before delivering the boutonnieres and bouquets to the chapel and setting up all of the centerpieces and vases with candles at our reception venue. Her idea for our Moms to have small bouquets in place of corsages was a nice touch, and they both loved them! She was very organized and tended to each detail, she takes great pride in her work and designs. Lovorka was wonderful to work with, and took time to really make understand what we were looking for! I highly recommend her to my family, friends and anyone looking for a florist for their big day... we couldn't have been more pleased with beautiful flower designs!

I absolutely loved my flowers that Lovorka did for my winter wedding!

My mother, mother in law and I met with her before the wedding and she sat down with us to discuss what look I was going for...i wanted the wedding to be romantic, and soft. I also showed her pictures of arragements that I liked and she showed us pictures of her work so we could get some ideas. All were amazing! She made suggestions on what would look best at our venue (Loyola & Redondo Beach Historic Library) and everything from the pew flowers, altar arragements, table arrangements, bridesmaid bouquets, parents boutonnieres, etc. were beautiful. My favorite of course was my bridal bouquet. It was everything i wanted and beyond! Lovorka really listened to what I wanted and the look I wanted for my wedding. We checked out other florists, but felt so comfortable and felt that Lovorka really saw our vision for our special day. She even hand delivered my bouquet to me before I walked down the aisle and was there to put the finishing to touches on it (i.e. pinned my rosary on). Our guests commented all night on how spectacular everything looked for our table arragements.

Lovorka did an amazing job with the flowers for my wedding at Shutters in October 2013. After feeling stressed by meetings with other florists (who were pushing me beyond my budget or who weren't clear about which flowers would be in season or who wanted every detail to come from me), a friend highly recommended Lovorka to me, and I am so happy she did. I was a bride who was very busy at work and didn't have time to spend on small wedding details, however I wanted my wedding to look elegant. So I gave Lovorka my budget and some inspiration photos that were way beyond my budget, and she took charge and came up with way better ideas that I ever would have - my pink and white and pale green floral centerpieces were in beautiful silver vases surrounded by mercury glass votives - just beautiful in the Shutters ballroom. Lovorka found the best flowers in season that looked even better than the inspiration photos, that lasted a long time, and that were arranged beautifully. It has been a few months and guests are still talking about the flowers from my wedding, especially my romantic white and pink bouquet that also photographed beautifully. I highly recommend Flowers by Laurel -- let her know what you definitely want and definitely don't want and let her do the rest!

My flowers were beautiful! I was complimented by all my guest from both ceromony & reception. Although, Lovorka is a bit pricey, you do get what you pay for. I highly recommend her. I told her the look I wanted and without proving any pictures she was able to capture my style. (Classy with a bit of bling)

Lovorka is amazing. She made my wedding absolutely beautiful! My centerpieces were everything I asked for and then some. They were so beautiful I didn't want them to die, I wanted them to last forever. The only thing is we ended up spending a lot more money than we planned. But if you want beautiful flowers, than its worth it. Just be prepared that it's very pricey. But overall Lovorka is the best.

Lovorka had some amazing ideas from our first meeting with her - suggesting we have a couple different styles for the table centerpieces, incorporating limes to bring in the green color we wanted, and finding flowers that went well with the bridesmaid dresses. You can tell how much time she puts into every arrangement, making sure the best flowers are chosen and everything looks just right. We received many compliments on the unique arrangements and beautiful bouquets.

Lavorka is wonderful to work with. Not only is she very charming, but she has very good taste in flowers. She helped my husband and I pick out our flowers for our wedding and they turned out so lovely. The flowers were fresh and all of the arrangements looked beautiful. We ended up spending a lot more on flowers than we wanted to though, so it's a little bit pricey. But the quality is very high so you definitely get your money's worth.

We couldn't have been happier with Flowers by Laurel! We planned our Redondo Beach wedding while living across the pond in London, and Lovorka was more than happy to do everything mostly over email/phone. When we met her only a couple of months before the wedding to finalize everything, she had captured exactly what we wanted just from the few internet photos I emailed her. She was so accommodating with our distance and even drove us back to our hotel after our last meeting a few nights before the wedding (our rental car wasn't ready yet!). And when the flowers arrived the day of the wedding I was taken aback by how beautiful and perfect they were - all for such a great price! Basically, Lovorka is an amazing florist and an even nicer woman! I can't say enough nice things about her.

Lovorka did an amazing job! She is so passionate about what she does that she really works to make your wedding flowers and arrangement absolutely beautiful! She was excellent at responding to email and phone and when we met in person she was very good an explaining everything. I am not a huge wedding person so it was nice to have someone who loved what they did for a living and who was able to help me through picking the most beautiful flower displays for my wedding. We had a arch as well made by her that displayed over us during the wedding and it looked absolutely gorgeous in person and in our wedding pictures. Great job! I would definitely recommend Flowers by Laurel.

WOW! Lavorka and her team did a remarkable job of producing what was invisioned by our daughter and son-in-law for their wedding. Flowers by Laurel was easy to work with; they listened, and they delivered.

Every flower arangement was perfect from the ceremony to the reception. It created such a beautiful setting. From the father of the bride, I say Thank you Lavorka! You do amazing work.

Lovorka is great to work with. She really knows her stuff and made our wedding and reception look amazing. She used fresh, high quality flowers that lasted. Everyone complimented us on our colors and she put everything together very nicely. My bouquet was gorgeous, and the bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful as well. I was very happy with her work. She also met with us twice, several times via email as my ideas changed throughout the planning process, and she worked with us offering up suggestions and keeping within our budget as well. I would definitely work with her again next time I need flowers!

Flowers by Laurel is the absolute best choice for your wedding day or any special event. Lovorka truly feels the moment, and makes it as special as if it were her own family. She will take lots of time to walk you through what you want your flowers to look like, and what overall look you are trying to create. She does not rush you through the process, but truly takes the time to get to know what you want and how you ultimately picture it in the end. She did not try to upsell me a lot of things that I may not need, but at the same time, remembered to ask me about all the odds and ends that slipped my mind!

I felt 100% confident in her abilities and her artistic eye. On the day of the wedding, I was not surprised to see that everything was perfectly arranged, exactly as we discussed, and as I pictured. And, I never for a moment, worried that the flowers wouldn't show up or wouldn't be late. You will not regret working with this wonderful, wonderful lady and her lovely team! They are great!

We got married on October 22, 2016, we worked with Kris at Flowers by Laurel. The flowers they did for us were even more beautiful than they looked in the pictures we saw. We got compliments from almost every person at the wedding saying that they were the most beautiful flowers they had ever seen and wanted to know who did them. We would recommend them to anyone looking for stunning flowers at a very fair price.

I had searched a perfect florist for my wedding without success. I went to a wedding show at Los Verdes Golf course and met Flowers by Laurel. Lovorka took her time to talk to me in regards to all the flowers that she offered. She asked what my vision was for my wedding and really took the time to find out more about me as an individual. I set up an appointment with her and after viewing all of the beautiful flowers I signed the contract the same day. On the day of my wedding I couldn't be more happy with my flowers. As soon as I entered the ballroom the smell of roses possessed me. It was so beautiful in the ballroom and the flowers were the icing on the cake. I cannot thank Lovorka enough for all of her time and effort that she put into making my wedding look breath taking. If you are looking for someone who will take her time and fully take in all of what your visions I highly recommend Flowers with Laurel.

Flowers by Laurel helped our wedding dreams come to life. We had a Secret Garden Wedding Theme but we weren't sure on how to bring the theme to life. Working with Lovorka was the best decision we could have made. She immediately understood our vision and brought it to life with flowers. She was very easy to communicate with although sometimes she was hard to reach. But we never worried because she is extremely professional and thorough. The flowers were beautiful and fresh and we have received nothing but compliments about the floral arrangements. Although the price was way above what we had initially budgeted, we realized quickly that you get what you pay for. There is no doubt in my mind that Flowers by Laurel is the best!

They worked with me. I told them my ideas, showed them sample pictures and they in turn had a great database of pictures from previous weddings to which I could say, "yes, exactly like that!" Working together, we found exactly the flowers and types of bouquets, arrangements and gazebo designs I was looking for. They worked with my odd requests, like putting the table bouquets in mason jars I provided, incorporating sea glass in the flowers and cutting up a capiz shell curtain to hang from the gazebo. On the day, everything was done exactly right and they were there on time and made sure I was happy before they left. Their price was in the middle of three I met with. Flowers are never cheap, but I highly recommend them.

Lovorka and her staff are incredible florists. The quality of the work they did was truly excellent. We loved the flowers that they provided for our wedding and reception. The flowers came out absolutely beautiful. They have so much experience in providing service for wedding events so we did not have to worry. We did have a little bit of mix up at the wedding with the flowers, but other than that, it was fixed right away. Chart House in Redondo Beach had listed them as recommended vendors for our wedding, which was why we chose them. The price range was a bit pricey, but we were able to have beautiful flowers at our wedding.

Great Experience, Beautiful Flowers

We had a very good experience with Flowers by Laurel. Their flowers were beautiful and looked just the way we wanted them to on our wedding day.

When we initially met with Kris and Lovorka, they were very helpful in forming a vision for the flowers. They're a great choice if you know generally but not specifically want you want because they'll make specific recommendations and suggestions. To be honest, Lovorka is a bit pushy about booking with them but still very nice and her daughter Kris is really lovely to work with.

There were a couple things on the day of the wedding we weren't thrilled with - flowers were left out of a couple places we discussed or looked a little skimpy in places. The boutonnières for my husband and his groomsmen also weren't delivered where and when they should have been, so they're not wearing them in a lot of our first reveal and bridal party photos, which is a bit of a bummer. We think that maybe they need a couple more people to help day of event to tighten up these details.

Alternatively, Kris was very generous about throwing in a couple extra things my mom wanted, including a sample centerpiece a few months before the wedding, and working through last minute items with us.

Overall, our flowers were beautiful and we were very happy with Flowers by Laurel and thank them for their services!

The flowers turned out gorgeous and everything was delivered on time. Communication with the florist was difficult in that we would email and call, but would not get a response for a couple days and then get a call late at night. We would also have to keep checking the order and found a couple mistakes that the florist didn't pick up.

My flowers were beautiful at my wedding! She was spot on the on the big day. She is very busy so she can be hard to get a hold of via email. She also sometimes forgets certain details BUT at the end of the day - don't worry- she'll get it right for your big day.

I feel like part of my disappointment with my flowers was my fault for not being aggressive enough, but I really didn't know what I was doing. (Hey, I've never been married before!) Some of the things we ordered were beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, these were pre-wedding event flowers. When I saw my bouquet, I was SO disappointed. I let it go, because I had other things to think about, but now when I look at pictures, I am just pissed. My colors were dark orange and hot pink. We looked through a ton of photos to see what types of flowers I liked. Lovorka showed me some roses and I said "but not that color, right? because those are light peach?" and I was told, no they would be the correct color. So what's in my bouquet - the peach roses I specifically said I did not want. And my hot pink flowers were nowhere to be found - they were all purple. I even brought samples of my colors so I don't know why the colors were such a mess. If I ever need to use a vendor for a similar event, I would demand a sample prior to the event to make sure we're all on the same page. Overall- the flowers were beautiful, but they kind of screwed up all of my wedding decor by being the wrong colors. My photographer is going to try to color correct them for me in some photos. :(
