Cynthia was an absolute dream to work with. It is hard to find florists in the DMV area with less than a 10K minimum, and I was worried finding someone less would give us a less experience, but that was absolutely not the case with Cynthia. She was by far the best vendor we booked!! I didn't know what to expect on our first call, but Cynthia and I ended up talking for over an hour. She wanted to make sure she could execute my vision to perfection even taking the time to going through each individual flower type that was going to be used in my arrangements and making sure I liked it! This was just one small example of how personal your experience with Cynthia will be. She does not treat you like just another client. She treats your wedding with passion, friendship, and individuality. She was responsive, organized, and boy did she deliver day-of! After all of that planning, you always wonder how it will turn out, but I was absolutely blown away. I wish I could bundle all of the flowers up and keep them forever! I couldn't have been happier with how everything looked and it was EXACTLY how I pictured it if not better. If you are considering hiring flower follies- do it! Thank you to Cynthia and her whole team for a wonderful wedding! -

Out of all our amazing wedding vendors, working with Cynthia at Flower Follies was the absolute best experience! From our very first phone call to talk about my vision, Cynthia helped me articulate and visualize the ideas in my head and gave the best recommendations along the way - and helped us stay within our budget. She was flexible and accommodating when I changed my mind on any details and was very responsive and just a pleasure to work with. When she showed up on wedding day to deliver the florals, I was absolutely blown away! They were so stunning and surpassed my expectations. The flowers really set the vibe for our romantic, mid-September wedding, and I could not be happier with the result. We got so many compliments from our guests. I could not recommend Flower Follies enough - THANK YOU so much, Cynthia!! -

Cynthia made my wedding flowers so simply beautiful. I don't know anything about flowers, but I knew I wanted a vintage, nostalgic, romantic wedding, and Cynthia helped right away by proposing a few specific roses and other unique and elegant flowers for my bouquet. She also helped with votives to finish out our tables.
On the day of the wedding, when all the craziness gets going, Cynthia was right on top of delivery, and went out of her way to come find me a quickly say hi. I was so grateful to have someone take so much care into making my vision come true and for the stress-free execution of the day! -

Cynthia is nothing short of amazing!! I learned that I am not great with putting my thoughts into words at times, but she took what I was looking for and went above & beyond! Literally all of the guests and even employees at the venue raved over how STUNNING the flowers were. Not only did she over-deliver on the flowers, she was such a joy to work with and so patient with me and my ever-changing mind. I cannot recommend her more! -

Perfect Florals and Service
Cynthia was an absolute joy to work with. I was not a “flower person” going into our wedding, but the flowers/table arrangements ended up being one of my favorite parts of the whole day. Cynthia grows and arranges the florals herself, and this shines through in her work. She worked tirelessly to make our vision come to life, even going so far as to have the white cosmos that I wanted overnighted from California the week of our wedding when Maryland weather wasn’t cooperating. Can’t thank Cynthia enough! -

I cannot say enough good things about Cynthia. My daughter and I met with her and explained what we wanted for my daughter’s wedding. She listened to what we had to say and then gave us some really good recommendations to enhance the vision we were looking for. She absolutely nailed it. The flowers were gorgeous and MORE than we expected. Even our guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were. She goes above and beyond and I would recommend her for any of your floral needs. She truly is the best! -

Cynthia was an absolute dream to work with! She took the time to listen and create the exact look I wanted for our wedding, while also adding her creative influence exactly where needed. She was so easy and wonderful to work with. She took the time to get to know us and really made our vision come to life and WOW, was it beautiful! Cynthia, genuinely cares about her clients and that is such a warm feeling when you are trying to plan the event of your life time. Not only were her flowers absolutely breath taking but she even stayed to repurpose our ceremony archway display for our sweetheart table at the reception! Clearly going above and beyond the typical vendors who do their job and leave. I cannot recommend Cynthia enough, not only will you have amazing flowers but 5 star customer service and the utmost professionalism! -

Amazing and helpful
We got married in June 2022 at Herrington on the Bay. Planning a wedding is a lot of fun - but the flowers are one of the best parts! Cynthia from Flower Follies was a joy to work with throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. Cynthia was super flexible and helpful as we figured out the wedding vision together. She was very flexible with blending our DIY projects with her beautiful professional arrangements. Cynthia made us bouquets, boutonnières, centerpieces, a cake topper, and the MOST gorgeous arbor floral arch. It was honestly better than anything I ever imagined. Our guests were gushing over the floral arrangements and I am so happy we hired Cynthia. -

Amazing doesn’t even begin to cover Cynthia’s work. She listens to your vision, and then adds her artisan touch to make the florals of your dreams!! We had the most beautiful flowers I could have ever imagined. She is so easy to work work. Her personality is so inviting when you meet her. A true artist. Trust her instincts she will not start you wrong. I would recommend her a million times over. -

I simply cannot say enough good things about Cynthia and how talented and personable and wonderful she is. My flowers were breathtakingly beautiful. It rained on my wedding day and we had to move ceremony sites, but she was so understanding and patient and did a fabulous job making the indoor site look beautiful. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy. I cannot recommend her enough!! -

Above and beyond
Cynthia is AMAZING. After meeting with her I knew I could trust her and she would make my wedding Pinterest board come to life! My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and the whole ceremony and reception was dreamy and the exact romantic feel I was hoping for. Everyone was raving about how beautiful the arrangements were. -

Incredible
Cynthia completely exceeded my expectations. She is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and was a lot of fun to work with. I was super overwhelmed with options for flower arrangements/ votives etc- so I asked her to use her creative discretion on a lot of things. We chose to work with Cynthia Robinson of Flower Follies after she was recommended to us by our venue and are SO glad that we did. She is so sweet and so much fun to work with. I met with one other florist at a different company before meeting with Cynthia, and left the meeting with the other florist feeling very uncertain about how everything would come together. Cynthia was so enthusiastic and her attention to detail so amazing that I left my meeting with her feeling so excited and knowing that everything would come together perfectly. When I saw it on the day of my wedding, it was even better than I could have imagined! She has such a gift for making your vision come to life – even if you aren’t great at articulating exactly what you have in mind like I was! She also helps you stay within your budget and never makes you feel pressured. She even provided me with several quotes to get everything just right.
I think that the flowers and centerpieces really help to set the vibe for a wedding and I am so, so happy that I chose to work with Cynthia at Flower Follies for my wedding. Guests were truly in awe of how gorgeous all of the flowers were, as was I. It was everything I could have imagined and more and I cannot recommend Cynthia enough!!

Katie Sent on 07/09/2012Through out my wedding process, I felt like Cynthia at Flower Follies was not just my florist, but my friend. She met with me for hours to go over my vision. She was just as enthusiastic as I was about a "whimsical" flower theme, which helped me feel confident in my decisions. She answered all my questions, even the last minute day before emails. Then, on the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond and made all my visions come to life. The flowers were beautiful, the bouquets were perfect, and the ceremony and reception space were jaw dropping. She had left over flowers and instead of casting them aside, she used them down the aisle and decorated my cake. Cynthia is the real deal. She helped to make my wedding a dream come true! -

Cindy Sent on 07/07/2011Cynthia (Flower Follies) is a MUST HAVE for your wedding. Our flowers were stunning, I still can't stop thinking about how perfect my bouquet was. Each time we met with Cynthia, she was open to our ideas and had great suggestions. She made our vision of "white and fluffy" come to life with ease and class!
All of our flowers (bridesmaids bouquets, parent bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, ceremony flowers, etc) were done perfectly and with the highest quality. I could not have asked for anything else – amazing job!

We didn't have floral centerpieces, they were floating candles in cylinders of blue water and were absolutely beautiful! Cynthia was available any time to answer questions for me. She did an amazing job with the bouquets! I chose to have very vibrantly colored flowers in my bouquet and she really did an excellent job of picking the flowers that would go in it. Everything looked so beautiful! -

We came to her with few ideas (only colors) and she was super interested and excited about her vision for our bouquets, buttoneers, and centerpieces. She far exceeded our expectations and was more than willing to work with us to find flowers that fit our budget. We had tons of compliments on the flowers and she built the centerpieces on trays so our guests could enjoy them after the wedding. If you are looking for an amazing floral decor designer, Cynthia/Flower Follies is the place to go! -
User227055 Sent on 08/09/2009This is the most creative florist I interviewed! Cynthia had so many wonderful ideas, and her cool relaxed attitude was really calming during the whole planning process. She asked for a few single word descriptors of the theme we were going for at our wedding that she used for inspiration and her proposal was dead on. We didn't really know what we wanted until she tossed a few ideas out and how perfect it all came together! She was great at helping us stay within our budget, and was extremely flexible as I had changing ideas throughout. The bouquets were so beautiful and fragrant, the centerpieces were eye-opening and intriguing, and our ceremony decor was stunning. She had it all taken care of and we couldn't have asked for more. The floral arrangements provided were beautiful. However, we did not receive what was originally contracted for and we were notified one month before the wedding that it could not be fulfilled. The chiffon alternative was lackluster.
