Emilee was so amazing to work with. Not only is she extremely talented, but she is so kind and really worked with us to make sure our wedding cake was just how we imagined! With COVID, we had to move the location of our wedding to a different state, and Emilee was more than happy to change our date with us, and she set us up with a cooler to help us transfer the cake safely. Could not recommend this bakery more!! -

We chose Flour Child for our wedding cake because we had visited the bakery before. During the cake tasting, there were no bad options, so we knew we were going to be happy with whatever we chose. Emilee was detailed and professional. She was even willing to allow us to add cake cups to our order after giving things more thought. We were SO glad we added the cake cups. Our guests loved them. Our cake was delivered to our venue and set up perfectly. It was so nice not to have to worry about our cake, knowing it was in perfect hands. -

Our cake was so beautiful and delicious! Everyone raved about it. I think the photo speaks for itself. Also, the top was gluten free and just as delicious as the rest of the cake! -

So glad we found "Flour Child". Not only was the cake exactly what we wanted - simple, delicious, good value - working with Emilee was great. She was always very responsive. Coordinating the cake tasting samples was easy. She worked directly with our venue with delivery and no issues. We went with the vanilla cake with vanilla cream filling. It was perfect. I didn't want anything complicated and this worked perfectly. Definitely recommend. Thank you Emilee! -

When I began searching for my cake baker, I had contacted a few bakeries in the Treasure Valley. I was looking for a skilled baker who can produce a delicious and memorable cake, but also an artist who can display something truly unique. Emilee at Flour Child out shined all the bakeries I spoke with. I put her up to the challenge of making a fantasy-like dragon wedding cake. I imagined a show stopper cake for my husband who is obsessed with dragons. The finished product was just stunning. The top tier of our cake was vegan and it was just as delicious as the rest of it. We got many compliments on the intricate details of the dragon and the amazing flavor of our banana chocolate cake.
Emilee herself is incredibly helpful to work with. She responded to my emails quickly and answered the hundreds of questions I had. She certainly came across as someone I could trust and absolutely proves herself through her work.

Hannah Sent on 06/19/2018Beautiful cake!! and we actually had 3 layer cake of 3 different flavors! It was delicious!! They delivered too.
It was supposed to feed 100 people and we had 125 guests and had quite a bit left over. So you may want to go smaller.
But it was gorgeous! -

The cake was absolutely gorgeous (my photographer even said it’s the most gorgeous cake she’s photographed) and tasted amazing and the macaroons were a huge hit! She and I communicated regularly via email which made the process so easy. She was a huge help in determining quantities we would need and brought ideas to the table to help my vision come to light. She also created the most adorable Tiffany Box themed macaroons for my bridal shower and they couldn’t have been more perfect for the event! I would highly recommend Emilee and Flour Child for any event!

Great desserts
Flour child did a great job on our dessert table! We had several different desserts and all of them were amazing. My favorite was the ice cream sandwich cookies that came in their own cute little boxes. -

Steffanie Sent on 01/28/2018I can’t believe im the first review! Our wedding cake was gorgeous and delicious! We did a personal 6” gluten free chocolate almond cake with caramel drizzle. We even bought some of their yummy macaroons as cake toppers (even though they didnt make it on top of the cake) Flour Child was super helpful with coordinating the travel for the cake with our caterer since our wedding was two hours from Boise. Their shop sells ice cream and cookies which are super yummy as well! Thank you Flour Child!!

Go to Emilee and her team for all of your dessert and pastry needs!! Not only are her desserts delicious, but the way she runs her business is organized and makes it easy for customers. We went through Flour Child for our wedding on October 1st and they made us mini pies and Rice Krispie treats. There was nothing left at the end of the night and people couldn't stop talking about how delicious the desserts were! When planning a wedding its stressful and can feel uncertain as far as what service you may get from some vendors. As soon I started talking to Emilee though, it put any anxiety at ease as she clearly answered my questions and made sure we had everything we needed to feel prepared the day of. I'd go through Flour Child again and again, they are an amazing, talented team!
