Please Just Hire Her!!

If I could give Anise more than 5 stars I would!! She helped us so much with coordinating and putting together a timeline. The day of the wedding Anise ran the show, she told vendors where to be, kept everyone on schedule, helped with photos and set up of the big day. You will not regret hiring her. Anise thank you again for making our wedding so perfect!!

Absolutely Amazing!

Anise was the reason why our wedding went so smoothly. When we decided to downsize and have a wedding at my parents house, I wanted to hire an event coordinator. She was the best decision we made all year. She checked in with me to make sure I was thinking of everything, even the little things I hadn't thought of when planning a wedding. She even cleaned a dirt stain off my dress right before I walked down the aisle! If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator, hire Anise, you won't regret it.

soo helpful!

Anise was awesome! Throughout the entire process she was 100% on point. When we decided to hire a coordinator we had no idea how much help she would be. During our first phone consultation she asked me so many questions about stuff I hadn't thought of, and I thought I'd thought of everything. She offers a range of services to day of coordination which was what we went with, all the way up through full planning. Had we needed full planning services I have no doubt she would have been the right choice for that as well. I did not originally think I would need a coordinator but honestly she was worth the money all the way, our day went so smoothly (or that's how it seemed; thanks Anise!) all thanks to her expertise and attention to detail. We had so many last minute hiccups that she handled so that we were able to just enjoy the day!

Words can't express how grateful my husband (!) and I are for Anise's help with our wedding day. Anise was our "Day of Coordinator", but so much more than that. Her experience and expertise in wedding planning and coordinating was evident from the get-go. She checked in regularly throughout the planning process and offered such helpful tips and suggestions. We hosted the wedding in our backyard, and she was beyond helpful with the setup and pulling all of the pieces together. We truly couldn't have done it without her. She effortlessly guided use through all of the fun hiccups and surprises that come with the wedding day. The day was perfect. Thank you!

A true gift to have on your wedding day!

Anise was beyond a life saver! Not only did she help me keep track in the final details of planning, but day of she was amazing!! She made sure I was happy every minute, that everything was going the way I wanted. She even went out and got me fashion tape from CVS, helped with my bridesmaid's hair when a stylist didn't show up, reminded me to breathe before sending me down the aisle. I could go on with all the things that Anise did day of and I'm sure she did things I didn't even know about. If you are questioning getting a coordinator do it and hire Anise!

Anise was our day-of wedding coordinator (as well as helping me with flowers and set-up details prior to the day). My planning was a bit different in that I was living on the west coast but my wedding was taking place on the east coast, so all of our communication leading up the wedding was via phone and email. From the first time we spoke, I could tell she absolutely loves what she does and was truly excited to help me with my planning! She enthusiastically assisted me in finding a florist that would fit my budget and desires. She was extremely responsive and communicative, sending decor ideas back and forth with me, feeding off my vision and helping to turn it into a reality. We met in person the day before the wedding to go over the plan for decor and the ceremony. She was happy to do anything/go anywhere to pick up any still-needed items.

On wedding day, she picked up the flowers from the florist and brought them to my house where I was getting ready. This is one of my favorite and most appreciated parts of the day: It wasn't until later in the day that I was informed, but that morning she had picked up the bridal bouquet that the florist had put together for me and, upon seeing that it was not EXACTLY as I had envisioned, took it apart, rearranged the flowers into what she knew I wanted, and put it back together perfectly for me. Above and beyond. She directed the ceremony with precision, providing a big umbrella for my dad and I to stand behind before walking down the aisle at our outdoor ceremony (I hadn't even thought of this detail!). When we got to the reception, I saw that she and her assistant, who had gone over to the venue earlier in the day while I was getting ready to set everything up, had put everything together just as I had envisioned, working off just a list that I'd given them.

Anise helped make our wedding day beautiful and flawless with her attentiveness and direction. She was a pleasure to work with. Thank you so much, Anise!

What an incredible help for the day of the wedding service. Anise was so helpful to us bringing up ideas, concerns and things I hadn't even considered.
She made the planning for the day easy and I was able to not concern myself with all the little details.
The best part of the service was that I was totally free to enjoy the wedding and reception without worrying about what was needed or things that needed tweeking.
I, the mother of the bride who planned every detail got to totally enjoy the event.
Anise took care of things that arose as the day went on that I didn't even know about until after the wedding was over. That's perfect. From a last minute grooms pants being hemmed, a very last minute flower girls bouquet being made, we had a bubble gun planned but didn't work, to table cloths needing drying because of a quick storm that moved in while I was getting my hair done. All these last minute details were covered. There is no way I could have enjoyed the day with out Anise. This was a true gift to me.
Worth every penny!

It is almost a year since my husband and I got married, it was the most beautiful day EVER! I was a complete stress ball until we found Anise. She helped with everything and really eased my mind when it came to planning my wedding, everything from small details to big. We were always able to reach Anise and she always had answers, suggestions and a way to calm me down. She was there throughout the whole process. She met us at the venue to discuss colors, table placement, ect... Anise met us the night before and assisted with rehearsing for the BIG day, she made sure everyone was on the same page. On the day of the wedding everything went so smoothly! She ran around like a wild woman (in a quiet way of course) making sure I had nothing to worry about. She was back and forth from the hotel (where the wedding party was getting ready) and the venue making sure everything was in place. I couldn't have asked for a smoother day with no anxiety and full of nothing but love and happiness!!! Thank you Anise!

Anise is an absolutely fantastic wedding coordinator. I have nothing but good things to say about her. When we met the first time she had so many great ideas for the organization of our ceremony, our after-reception party, and even little details that made our ceremony and reception unique; and when my invitation plan fell through she had numerous ideas for me to look into. She was available to talk on the phone or email, and when I came across an issue or hiccup the day before/day of the wedding, she would step in and take charge to iron out any problems.

It was also really important to my mother and I that there be someone that could organize the setup of ceremony chairs, the seating of guests, etc. and that this responsibility would not fall on my mother or my mother-in-law. Anise was fantastic in orchestrating everything for the ceremony, the set up at the reception hall, as well as the events for the reception (the bridal party walk-in, first dances, cutting of the cake, etc.). She permitted me and my family to enjoy the day and not have to be running around getting all the last minute details finished. She ran everything so smoothly. I have no idea what I would have done without the help of Anise. She is a wonderful person and a great wedding coordinator, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding day free of stress and worries.

We were so so lucky to have Anise on our wedding day!! We married at a non-traditional venue (baseball stadium). Anise was incredibly adaptable and ensured that everything went smoothly - even in this location that had never hosted a wedding. My wedding party could relax and enjoy the day as she took the burden of many of their 'tasks.' She's an absolute MUST for every bride!

Worst Decision during the Wedding Planning Process

I did not plan to send this review honestly, because I know it would be detrimental to Anise's career as a wedding planner. My parents saw the wedding photos and videos last week, and they noticed all the flaws here and there, and also saw some sadness on my face in some of the photos. They asked me why. I told them the whole nightmare of working with Anise, and how she stepped on my dress, teared my veil, and was always in front the camera on many important moments where she was supposed to hide, such as walking down the aisle, cutting the cake, etc. My parents were so upset hearing these stories, and they wanted me to add this review - because it is impossible to make up these regrets on the once-in-a-lifetime wedding day.

Hiring Anise as the wedding planner of my wedding was probably the worst decision I have made for the wedding planning. She branded herself as "Wedding Planner" but she is more of a bad "Wedding Day Coordinator" who does NOT even provide a thorough wedding day timeline.

The whole planning process working with Anise was a nightmare. We were planning a destination wedding and was hoping that finding a local vendor like Anise could be helpful. We picked her because her price was more affordable and she communicated well in the first couple of interactions.

- Anise is NOT a professional wedding planner and is UNORGANIZED. For example, she did not provide any to-do-list with timelines until I asked her multiple times. She is also very slow on emails, and sometime we don't hear from her until weeks later. She was NEVER prepared for our calls. I remember it was three months before the wedding and we still heard any plans from Anise on decorations and vendor communication. Eventually I spent weeks to put together an excel of thorough wedding decorations list myself, and then spent 3 hours with her on a zoom call walking her through the things that I think she should be doing. After the call I heard little updates from her until I set up another call with her. There were multiple times during the process I was thinking about firing her and finding someone else. I didn't but in retro I really should have found someone else as early as possible.

- I was expecting the wedding planner to coordinate the vendors as we get closer to the wedding date, but Anise has never spoken with my vendors at all. I had to schedule calls with the vendors myself and invited Anise to them, but she never showed up to any. Eventually two weeks before the wedding, Anise still had zero clues of the wedding day timeline. I had to put together a timeline myself and sent it to all my vendors. Till that point, I had given up on having Anise doing any planning, but still hoped she could do a better job coordinating the wedding day.

- I was shocked when Anise ask me to give her a tour of the venue the day before the wedding day. Apparently as a planner, she has never visited the venue. She doesn't even know where the ceremony is going to be nor the reception dinner, not even where the guests are supposed to park.

- The wedding day was the real nightmare having Anise there. She was supposed to make sure the ceremony venue was decorated the way I wanted. However, the flowers on the arch looked nowhere closer to what I was looking for. By the time I saw it, it was already too late to make any changes. The flowers on my bouquet were 30% dead before the start of the ceremony. Again, it was too late to change it then. This is something that the professional planner should have planned for. If I had known it, I would have had a backup bouquet. We had to wait and look for family members when taking formal photos, while Anise completely disappeared and didn't help to coordinate at all. That was just the start of the nightmare.

- The ceremony started. Anise offered to help me organize my dress before walking up the aisle. She was still holding my dress and walking with me while I was already walking to the aisle, and stepped on my veil once (and teared it, but I didn't know then until long after), and stepped on my dress twice while I was walking!! I should have turned around and asked her to stop and put down the dress immediately. That was probably the most regret of the wedding. As a planner, she has NO RIGHT to walk me to the aisle nor hold my dress - that's the job of my bridesmaids or flower girls. she is a planner who is supposed to hide then! Not to mention she stepped into my veil and dress three times!! It was so terrible. I received the photos last week, there was very few photos of me walking down the aisle, because she was in front of the camera the whole time. And my face expression was awkward in these photos too, because as a bride I was shocked having a random planner stepping into my veil and dress as I walk down the aisle.

- The nightmare continued. I asked my bridesmaids to bring the long veil back to the bridal suites after the ceremony so it's intact. Anise made the decision without consulting me to keep the veil. The beautiful veil (10 ft long veil) was passed along multiple random vendor people without my permission, and at the reception dinner Anise wrapped the veil around a pointy scratchy dirty metal holder. I saw it and felt very uncomfortable about it, but I didn't bring it up since I had so many other things to manage.

- When I saw the veil again after the party later that evening, the veil was tossed like trash on the floor behind a table. It's all wrinkled, dirty, and that was a 12" hug tear at the comb of the veil. Just imagine how heartbroken I was then. As a bride who just got married and should be enjoying the happiest day, I started crying hopelessly.

- I texted Anise the next morning asking her about what happened to my veil and why she stepped on my dress and veil as I was walking down the aisle, She told me she noticed the tear on the veil during the cocktail hour after the reception but didn't tell me. It's very possible the tear happened as she stepped into it, and then got bigger as she passed it around to random people during the cocktail hour.

My beautiful bride friends, spend some more money and go find someone else who is professional and reliable. NEVER save on a wedding planner.

Lastly I wanted to give Anise some credits on small things. She did help us find a florist who is not excellent but not terrible; and recommended us a bakery who made beautiful and delicious wedding cakes. She also helped with finding white flower petals last minute when my original orders were canceled. She also has experience putting up details decorations when I gave her very clear instructions on what I wanted exactly, such as chair sash, guest table decor, etc.

To explain my delay in this extremely unfair review, I needed time to process so I could professionally respond!
I was hired as a day-of coordinator, not a wedding designer, which is what this couple expected me to be! They were nice to work with but very difficult to get decisions made in a timely manner. While she complains of my delayed response, it was actually them. I attempted to help them communicate in many ways, even helping with their vendors only to be removed and not told they heard from them.
She mentions it being unprofessional because I wanted a walk through the day before. In fact, if your DOC doesn’t do this, I would question them. She also mentions touching her dress and veil, (it is part of what your DOC will do, so if you don’t want them to touch it, communicate before the wedding day). Unfortunately, I am blamed for the miss care to her veil, which I had little control of that day!
Please also note, unless your DOC clearly says I am your florist, you cannot blame them for what is delivered, (especially when you don’t listen to their advice). It was 95 plus degree day with 80% humidity, do not use Hydrangeas, they will not last in the heat!
While I could respond to every point she tried to make. The fact is when I left that night, they were beyond happy and thanked me. I had done miracles to make sure their vision come to fruition. Even being the go between when they dropped a demand to the venue coordinator, expecting all staff to be vaccinated and show proof of a PCR test, hours before the ceremony.
This bride needed someone to blame for the damage to her dress and veil, and while I admitted to stepping on the train and asked to see photos showing the damage was done by me, I would have happily paid for anything I damaged. Unfortunately, I was never given this opportunity as I never heard from them again!
