Jake from Flash and Sound Events was the BEST wedding DJ we could have asked for! We used him for our wedding on October 18th 2025. He was so awesome to work with leading up to our wedding. He was super fast with responses & answered all of our questions. He made our wedding day perfect! He is super friendly & truly enjoyed being part of our wedding day. Choosing a DJ was such an important decision and I truly can’t recommend Jake enough! I would choose him again, no question! He’s a true professional and knows how to make the night go so smoothly. We were able to enjoy the night without any stress or worries. Jake is also just a really nice and kind person and an excellent communicator. It was really important to me that I had vendors that were truly nice people and cared about our day. He was fantastic at keeping everything on schedule and went above and beyond by helping to corral people for family photos, which made the day run so smoothly. We had Jake be our DJ for our wedding on 6-23-24. Jake was absolutely amazing from the very beginning until the very end. He was always very responsive getting back to me when I had any questions and always seemed friendly. When we finally got to meet in person to go over details, I was super impressed and knew we made the right choice. He was professional, helpful, funny, and just overall a really nice guy. The perfect mix of music for us, family, and friends
I interviewed over 20 DJs before booking with Jake, and we had a wonderful experience working with him. Jake is gregarious and easy to talk to and seems to have an endless amount of high energy. We had a live polka band part way through the night, and Jake was very accommodating with that interlude in his evening. He even polkaed with my ~very~ introverted sister which is a story our family will tell for years! My husband and I wanted the music to be a reflection of the two of us, and nixed a lot of songs and traditions that Jake admitted were common for his weddings, but he handled it beautifully. We commented after that Jake picked up on our taste in music very quickly in the evening, and the music was perfect!

I first met Jake years ago as he was working an event for my previous employer. What I first noticed was how energetic and positive Jake was. He kept the event upbeat and fun and knew how to bring the party. That very day I remembering telling Jake that if I evrr get married, I wanted him for my Dj. Fast forward to now and after venue and date waa chosen, Jake was my first contact. He was amazing to work with and was so helpful with not only music, but our venue set up and our reception timeline. He is by far the best reception mc and dj around. He truly loves what he does and it shows. I wish I could throw another reception just so he could dj again. Also, he is not afaid of the dance floor or a t-rex costume either. My daughter and her fiancé had to postpone their wedding because of Covid and when Jake was contacted he immediately was able to accommodate our new date. We had a specific song for the father/daughter dance and we just provided flash drive for him. He did the sound for the ceremony, provided BEAUTIFUL lighting and had a specially designed gobo(light) to project at venue. As a DJ, he was SO FUN. As a COVID bride finalizing all the details a week before the wedding, I felt like such a mess and everything was falling apart. We continue to receive wonderful comments about our wedding and dancing. Due to our circumstances and covid, we had to forego the typical dollar dance we wanted. A huge thanks to Jake and his "Cash and Dash". It turned out to be such a hit! It worked out even better than what a dollar dance would have done. Our guests loved it and felt so engaged the whole evening. Jake also does an amazing job working with photographers and filling the dance floor with energy and help get those picture-perfect moments. I would highly recommend Jake! :) He'll go above and beyond to help you. He's so professional too. You won't regret it!

So much fun!
We had Jake for our 2020 wedding and not only was he fun to work with from the start, but with having to change dates, sizes, and last minute rain changes he made sure there was no stress throughout it all! The lighting added so much to the reception and he had our guests up, moving and having a great time all night - even with it ending up being a small group! He truly wants to make the day exactly what YOU want out of it and is so fun to be around. We cannot recommend him enough!!

Being from Pittsburgh our venue connected us with Jake and he was wonderful! So much fun! Great song selections! Super easy to work with and had great energy! Our guests loved him and so did we. He was in contact with us multiple days leading up to the wedding to organize everything and come up with a solid time line. I would highly recommend Jake as a DJ! :)

Jake was so wonderful to have as our DJ. He knows his stuff, has plenty of suggestions, kept the day/night right on schedule, kept the party going and made sure to listen and do what the Bride and Groom requested/wanted for the day. Amazing DJ
Jake is the best, most energetic, and easy to work with DJ around! He keeps the party going all night and truly wants to make sure that your day is exactly what you want! In 2012, he was the DJ at my twin sister’s wedding and in 2013, he was the DJ at my older sister’s wedding. My husband and I are so incredibly thankful that he was able to be part of our day. He helped us pick songs for every part of our day and was even able to add music the night before when I forgot a part of our ceremony! Jake was the best DJ we could have had for our wedding day. We booked him over a year in advance and he stayed in touch with us the entire time. When we met with him he helped us with picking songs and was extremely patient. He wants to make your wedding day perfect! He knew all the latest dances and songs and gave suggestions on the best things to do at weddings! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our big day! My husband and I LOVED Jake! He did such an amazing job keeping the party going all night love! All night and after our wedding, everyone talked about what a great job he did with the song choices and just keeping the energy alive. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. Jake was our dj for our wedding and he was absolutely wonderful! He was super easy to work with which made it especially nice since we live about an hour away. He took time out of his day to meet with us before the wedding to figure out what we wanted played. He even made sure everything was pronounced right as far as our last names and our bridal party. He actually cared which spoke volumes to us. He suggested the cash and dash instead of the money dance that couples usually do at weddings and it was so much fun. Like he said, the money dance typically slows things down and we wanted to keep things up beat. Not to mention, I think it brings in more cash😉. I would definitely recommend Flash and Sound! Jake was great!

Jake from Flash and Sound is hands down the best DJ in NE Ohio. I have been to many weddings and no one compares to Jake. My sister used Jake as her DJ, and I was so impressed, my husband and I booked him for ours. Why is Jake so great?
1. His music choices are on par and yet he plays requests from the guests. Believe it or not many DJs say they take requests and then don’t actually play them. Jake does. I had a couple requests for dinner music - again he played those.
2. He does great MCing the event - he’s very interactive with the guests and makes it a party. I appreciated that we went through the run down for my wedding beforehand and planned accordingly.
3. Great value, awesome sound, timely and professional.

If you want a professional DJ who knows how to keep the party going, you need to hire Jake! He is so fun and I love how interactive he is with the guests! Two of my friends had Jake DJ for their weddings and referred me to him. They did not steer me wrong! He did our ceremony music and reception music. He had every song we asked for. We used Flash & Sound events for our wedding on August 4 and couldn't be happier! We worked with Jake leading up to the wedding, but had the opportunity to work with John on the big day. Both met with us the week before the wedding and answered all of the questions we had and offered great suggestions. On the day of the wedding, John showed up hours early and made sure everything was set up and ready to go and made sure that we didn't have any questions or last minute changes. The songs for the ceremony timed up perfectly and our guests have had nothing but great things to say about all of the songs that were played. We also utilized their photo booth service and it was well worth it! They were kind enough to make a custom strip for us that matched all the wedding decor perfectly and everyone had a blast taking pictures all night! If you book Flash & Sound for your big day, you won't regret it!

Jake did our wedding in back in June and he was AMAZING!!! He was our officiant, DJ, photo booth and our uplighting! Before the wedding, he went over everything with us and made sure everything was perfect, and organized. He was very easy to talk to and also gave us a lot of awesome ideas that I’ve never seen before! Our uplighting matched our decorations perfectly! The photo booth was such a hit with awesome props! He made sure our ceremony was everything we wanted (which was short and sweet) and kept our guest interested! When it came to dancing, I don’t think anyone left the dance floor all night! Flash and Sound Events did a wonderful job with everything that the responsibility of the DJ is in charge of for the wedding. I would recommend Jake to anyone I know that is getting married in the future. The up lighting that was used added even more elegance to our reception. We had an outside wedding and Jake had an outside set up with microphones and music for everyone to hear what was going on. Very polite and efficient when we had questions or concerns they were answered right away. During the introductions and reception everyone was having a great time up and dancing on the floor. We've known Jake for years, so choosing him for DJ services when our daughter got married last month was a no-brainer. As expected, he was professional and very easy to work with! The fact that the bride is in medical school out of state and couldn't discuss details until a few days before the wedding didn't bother Jake a bit--he was so flexible and willing to work with me in the meantime. Jake reviewed our timeline and layout for our reception and offered suggestions. I'm so glad he did, as we originally had his table situated far from the dance floor and the older guests sitting it that area would likely have been annoyed by loud music all evening. He also recommended some alternatives to old traditions like the money dance--take his advice and try something different!
We've had nothing but compliments about our event and much of that success is due to Jake directing the night through his choice of songs (with some direction from our daughter, of course). Our guests stayed on the dance floor from the moment it opened until we had to shut down. I consider myself a very particular person and had very high expectations of all our vendors--Jake worked well with everyone and made our entire day a fantastic memory for all! Don't even consider another DJ--hire him immediately!

We just had our wedding this past Saturday and Jake was our officiant and our DJ. As the officiant we felt like he was our family, he really had a lot of emotion towards us but with still being professional. He was funny and serious when he needed to be. As our DJ, he had a very wide selection of songs. He took everyones requests and made sure Every one had a good time. He had everything we asked for and was very flexible when i had last minute changes. We wouldnt have had any other officiant or DJ for our wedding. Definitely worth the money.

Jake was the best! From our first email all the way through the wedding day, he was helpful, accommodating, and fun! Our guests loved him and he kept the party going! He was great about coordinating the pie cutting, first dance, etc. with the other vendors so we didn't have to worry about any of that. By the time it was over, we felt we had gained a friend as well as an awesome dj!

Jake is the best! We had a non traditional wedding mixing a lot of different cultures together which can be tough to begin with add a very tight time table to put it all together and that’s rough. Jake handled it all and managed to stay so calm it kept me calm. Everything went perfectly! Highly recommend!

BOOK HIM NOW. Seriously, we had such a great wedding because of Jake's professionalism, organization, and fun-loving spirit. When we met with him for the first time he came with so many ideas about how he could make our reception even better from a DJ standpoint. It was great to have an experienced person give us ideas. The last meeting we had with Jake, he took away all of my stress. I had been planning the wedding mainly by myself and was putting together the schedule. I had no idea how I was going to enjoy the reception if the donuts needed cut at this time, and the slow dances had to happen here, and introductions, and speeches and every other smaller detail! I was freaking out about how I was going to be the manager at my own wedding. And when we met with Jake, he took all of that stress away. He became the DJ, wedding planner, and pretty much the boss that night. He kept everything moving along and kept to my schedule that I had laid out. Seriously everything was perfect with Jake and he goes above and beyond for his clients. We could not have imagined a better DJ for our reception. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Thank you thank you thank you, Jake, for taking away all of my stress, making our reception flow perfectly, and giving us our dream night.

Jake was awesome! He consistently checked to make sure my husband and I were happy with how everything was going throughout the night. When the night was coming to an end and people were beginning to leave, Jake even got out on the dance floor with us just to make sure the party kept going until the VERY end. Seriously the best!

Jake was really responsive to all messages and dealt with all of my crazy! We had to change our day and he couldn't do our reception but he made it his duty to find us someone to do the job. He went above and beyond for us. Dale-he dj'd the wedding did great. We are so thankful we found Flash and Sound. We also used their photo booth too. Which is was adorable and great. Being in the wedding industry myself, I have worked with Jake many times and knew from the first time I worked with him that he would DJ my wedding and he did!!
He was awesome, professional and so easy to work with! I cannot recommend him enough!!! I truly love Jake. He puts on great entertainment without being over the top or cheesy. Very down to earth, genuine, yet fun and personable. Listens well and truly cares for his brides and grooms.

We have absolutely nothing bad to say about Flash and Sound Events. We used them for both DJ (ceremony and reception) and photobooth. They were both very professional, easy to work with, and did an amazing job. Highly recommend them to any couples looking for DJ and/or photobooth. Their prices are very competitive as well.

Jake has been so much fun to work with since the time we booked him! He even gave us a shoutout on the radio during our bachelorette party in Pittsburgh! Flash Sound and Events did a fantastic job at our wedding reception this past Saturday at Greystone Hall! Jake (owner) was our DJ and so easy to work with. He met with us about 2 weeks before to go through everything and helped us come up with some song ideas etc. He clearly knows what he is doing, as his suggestions were perfect! At the reception, we received several compliments on the DJ and how he was keeping everyone dancing! It was a great mix of music. We would recommend him and Flash Sound to anyone needing DJ services- worth every penny! Thanks Jake!

Jake was amazing!!! He has DJ'd multiple weddings in my family therefore when we were choosing a dj there was only 1 option-Jake!! He traveled 2 hours to make a day very special! The morning of my wedding my photographer cancelled on me. One of the first people I called was Jake. Jake is highly connected and this is a huge asset! He was still 2 hours away morning of but he was ready to help!! Our reception was amazing! The dance floor was packed the whole time! From young to old everyone enjoyed the night! Jake was an absolutely awesome DJ. My husband and I had been to a few weddings and weren't overly impressed with the DJs, so we were worried about finding a good DJ. We worked off of other people's reviews and saw that so many people love working with Jake, so we decided to book him. He was upbeat, kept our guests interested, played great music, and kept the night moving through the "obligatory" stuff quickly. We highly recommend him!

Working with Jake was fantastic. He made planning out our ceremony and reception incredibly easy. He listened to all of our requests, including a couple of offbeat songs for our ceremony. Even though our reception was running late, he managed to play most of the reception music that we wanted and kept the party going. We also used the photo booth and uplighting services, and highly recommend both. We got our photobooth guest book immediately after our reception ended. The uplighting made our venue look spectacular, and all the set up was completed promptly before our ceremony. We would highly recommend Flash and Sound!

We went with Flash and Sound Events for our wedding 2 weeks ago! We used their Dj, Uplighting, and photo booth services!!! They did an AMAZING job! Everyone loved the photobooth. Our book of photobooth pictures was full!!! The DJ was INCREDIBLE and was easy to work with!! Everyone was out on the dance floor which shocked me! People who I thought would never be on the dance floor, were on the dance floor. The DJ made sure to get everyone involved by doing an Anniversary dance which I thought was the coolest thing! The uplighting was beautiful fall colors and made a difference in the way it made the room look!!! For anyone that is getting married I would definitely RECOMMEND their services!!!

Jake with Flash and Sound Events was absolutely incredible! He was very responsive, kind, and helpful in the planning process leading up to the wedding. At the reception, the lighting was very well done, the exact color we wanted and gave a great glow to the venue. Jake did a great job of keeping the ceremony moving, but not rushing anything. He played a great mix of music to please the whole crowd. We received multiple compliments from guests on how great the DJ was. Overall wonderful experience and would recommend Jake for any occasion!
