Holly- amazing

Holly was so amazing to work with while planning our honeymoon during a world pandemic. While we were stressing about planning the wedding, Holly had the whole honeymoon under control and just reached out to us whenever we needed to know or do something. We trusted Holly with everything and we are so thankful we did because our honeymoon was so perfect! Without her, we wouldn't have known all the COVID updates that were going to take place prior to leaving for our trip. She made sure we knew what to expect and also what we need to do to ensure we were in compliance with the airlines and the resort we were staying at (i.e. obtaining a negative COVID test within a week of departure, bring masks, etc.).
Holly was so amazing and we cannot wait until we are able to book with her again!

WOW! Absolutely perfect!

Wow, wow, wow! Holly was SOOOO AMAZING with helping us plan our honeymoon! She was recommended to us by a friend because she helped plan their honeymoon over five years ago! Planning a wedding during a world pandemic, planning a honeymoon is just as hard if not harder with all of the rules, regulations, and requirements that were/are changing daily. Holly kept up on everything and notified us via email or call as soon as she heard ANYTHING that may impact us! Holly was so great to work with! She was professional but also very personable and friendly. We loved working with Holly and cannot wait to have another opportunity to work with her again in the future!

Super Helpful

We have booked several trips with first discount travel. Jerry and staff are always knowledgeable and helpful. This trip we had a bit of a change because of the COVID-19 issue. We arrived in Hawaii one day prior to our cruise. The morning before we were to board, we got a call from Jerry saying that NCL canceled our cruise. Since we were already there, Jerry scrambled to make reservations for accommodations, airlines to the other islands, and reschedule our flight home from a different island. We had a wonderful trip! He is now working with the cruise line to book another one for us. Thank you for all your help!!!

Australia & New Zealand

We were a bit overwhelmed planning a trip to Sydney, Australia to visit family and to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Braden stepped up to the plate, figured out what we were interested in doing, and then managed to plan a trip of a lifetime. We were thrilled! When he asked what was our favorite part, I couldn't decide, because it was all fantastic. Braden also alerted many of the tours and hotels that it was our 50th Anniversary and there were many little extras added on to make our trip even more special. Thanks, Braden!! You really made this trip of a lifetime an awesome experience.

First Discount Travel :)

Kelli Garcia from First Discount Travel provided us with the most wonderful honeymoon destination. In August 2018, my husband and I traveled to Riviera Maya Mexico to the new Unico Resort. This was our first time using a travel agent and it won't be our last. We just gave her a price point and she found multiple resorts and we were able to make our decision the same day. Unico was beautiful, trendy, clean and refreshing. I couldn't have asked for a better travel agent to work with. I highly recommend First Discount Travel, I look forward to traveling again with their assistance in the future.

Banff & Vancouver

Our recent trip to Banff and Vancouver, Canada was spectacular thanks to excellent planning and recommendations by Braden. The hotels he chose for us were top of the line, and we were delighted with the complimentary extras they provided, including free parking for a four-night stay, a room upgrade, and chocolate covered strawberries on the nights of our arrival. Braden also recommended the Rocky Mountaineer train trip that was an unforgettable scenic experience in a domed rail car with first class service. He stitched together a seamless travel plan for us, and was responsive and proactive in providing us a great vacation. Braden is personable, pleasant, and knowledgeable, and we would definitely recommend working with him and this travel agency.

Exceptional Vacation Experience!!

We just returned from a FABULOUS vacation to SECRETS PLAYA MUJERES!!!
Jason Pinson was Wonderful to work with and we went on his recommendation to this resort and we were not disappointed! The resort was Beautiful and the beach one was on the nicest ones we have seen in the Cancun area. Secrets Playa Mujeres has Gourmet food and Top Shelf Alcohol which includes BUDLIGHT!!!
Jason also recommended we use LOMAS Travel for our Private Transfer from the Airport to Resort (always book private transfer) and they were Exceptional !!! In the future, all of our trips will be booked with Jason Pinson and First Discount Travel

Holly J. helped us plan a perfect trip to Rome & Ireland for our first anniversary! Every hotel was in a great location, and the itinerary she recommended was spot on. We encountered no problems during our trip ... and everything booked was within our budget. We highly recommend First Discount Travel & especially Holly. We used First Discount Travel for our honeymoon and everything was so easy and so perfect!!!! They took care of absolutely everything - planning and booking everything, explaining what we needed to do since I had never flown before. We pretty much just had to show up. I have never received better service with any travel agency as I have with First Discount Travel. My fiancé and I worked with Blakley and had the best experience. Not only was she able to find us exactly what we were looking for (and more), she was also able to keep up with my my ever changing mind. I could not have asked for a better person to have worked with when planning and booking our honeymoon. Blakley did an amazing job of presenting us with several options that were not only within our budget but also that had the most "wow" factor. If you are looking for the BEST travel agency in Cincinnati then definitely give First Discount Travel a call and request to speak to Blakley. You will not be sorry that you did.

Celebrating 50 years, we wanted more than just a trip, we wanted a lifetime adventure - so off to Australia/New Zealand we went - working with Jerry, we had the most fantastic and memorable time ever. The wonderful memories live on and we still talk about it. Have worked with travel agents over many years, but the folks at FDT - Jerry Katz - are by and far the best people ever. I worked with Barbara and she was very helpful, courteous and professional. She took the time to answer all my questions and was very articulate and extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Barbara meticulously went over every aspect of our business beyond my satisfaction . It was a most enjoyable experience sharing our experience at a multitude of vacation resorts we had the opportunity to vacation. Even though a lot of time was necessary to cancel and book a vacation on such short notice (4-days) the time spent with Barbara went by quickly and I received all my documents for the trip within hours as promised. This was my second visit using FDT and each one is more pleasant than the last. Great cozy friendly environment that I would "highly" recommend!

We booked (what I didn't know was) our engagement trip to Riviera Maya, with Emily at First Discount Travel. They did such an amazing job finding us exactly what we wanted, saving us money, and making sure we had everything we needed before we let, that we will be customers for life. I highly doubt we could've found such an awesome vacation without FDT's help and we will hopefully be booking our honeymoon with them soon as well. Highly recommend!

My fiance and I met with Jen to book our honeymoon. We started with a bigger package and that same day came upon some unexpected financial changes. Jen was absolutely flexible and accommodating to our needs. She set up another appointment just a few days later for us to explore more options that will fit into our new budget, and she; with the help of another agent, exceeded our expectations! Without the help of First Discount Travel, we would have never imagined we could still have our dream honeymoon! It really puts your mind at ease when they bring out their own personal photo albums from the resorts, so we know exactly what to expect! We can't wait to be on the beach in the Rivera Maya, Mexico! We also plan to utilize FDT for all future vacations in years to come!

We met Jerry from First Discount Travel at a bridal show and loved how much he knew about honeymoon locations! We had never traveled outside of the country before and had no idea where to begin. When Jerry met with us, he asked questions to get a feel for what we would enjoy and had our whole trip planned in less than an hour! He also had personal printed photos from trips he had taken to all of the locations he suggested to us, so we got to see what things actually looked like. Our trip to Jamaica was flawless! When we initially set out to book our honeymoon, we planned to do it on our own. We googled various key terms and narrowed in on the general region where we wanted to go. And then we got totally overwhelmed! Thankfully we somehow found First Discount Travel (I think it was just through reading reviews like this one) and connected with Holly. We shared some thoughts via e-mail and then had a meeting with her to talk about what we were looking for. After talking through our "vision" for our honeymoon, Holly knew exactly where to send us! We split our time in Anguilla and Antigua and were absolutely blown away by both resorts. The entire two week trip was just plain magical and we could not have done it without Holly and FDT! Our flight between the islands kept getting canceled, the last one with just weeks left until our trip and we never had to worry - Holly had it all under control! I met with her 2 weeks before our trip and she handed me a little pouch with a booklet that had every single detail of our trip inside. That little book became our bible and made airline check-ins, hotel check-ins and transportation an absolute breeze. Our entire experience with FDT was fantastic and I would highly recommend them for any travel needs!

We worked with Jaylean at FDT to help us book our honeymoon. She was easy to work with and patient with us as we tried to decide where to go and which resort to stay at. We worked with First Discount Travel for planning our Honeymoon. Jerry was our travel agent and will continue to be our travel agent. He was very accommodating and resourceful in helping us plan our honeymoon. He kept in contact and kept me informed. When we arrived at our resort, we were the best prepared from other couples as he even took the time to bookmark our pages we would need to present to hotel staff and called me prior to cover any details I would need to know. I never felt overwhelmed or nervous about the trip. Jerry and his staff are one of a kind and truly professionals who care about your experience. When I returned he even called me back to hear how the trip went and wanted to make sure we had fun. Couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience.

When my husband and I were trying to decide where to go for our honeymoon, the options seemed overwhelming. We decided to go through First Discount Travel and allow them to help us figure out the perfect place to go. They have tons of photo albums of real pictures of the popular resorts and places you can visit. This was extremely helpful since you never know if the resort's website is showing you the real place in their pictures! We sat down with Kellie and she was able to recommend several places that met our requirements for our honeymoon and through some additional research, we picked the most amazing place in Cancun, Mexico! The resort we stayed at exceeded our expectations--the Le Blanc Spa Resort pampered and spoiled us beyond our wildest dreams! We are definitely going back again sometime. First Discount Travel is very attentive to your needs--they will make sure that you are going to have an amazing vacation! The best part is, they do all the work for you! We just had to show up and Kellie gave us all of the flight and resort documents we needed for the whole trip. We could not be more pleased with our experience with First Discount and we will definitely use them again in the future!

Meredith at FDT was awesome! She was able to sit us down, find out and ask us questions about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do on our honeymoon. We also were able to work within our budget to get the best deal for our money. We narrowed it down to the Excellence resort in Punta Cana. We were beyond happy with our experience in Punta Cana. It was amazing service, beach, food, room, etc. We felt like we were absolutely directed to the perfect resort. We actually are looking forward to booking in the future at the Excellence. Meredith also was able to set us up with the registry as well, which wasn't as successful as we would have liked, but a good option to have available to us. We were very happy with our overall experience and cannot wait to book with them again.

My husband and I were so overwhelmed with the honeymoon process. I mean, there are only thousands of places you can go, right!? We had originally thought we wanted to go somewhere int he Caribbean, but had no idea which island, which resorts and what would be the best for us. We had a strict budget due to the fact that we paid for the entired wedding ourselves. We decided we needed a professionals help and went to Jerry Katz at First Discount Travel. After interviewing us with some questios to see our interests and how we would like to spend our honeymoon, Jerry recommnended Riviera Maya in Mexico. First, neither of us had even considered Mexico due to the reputation and safety concerns. After speaking in depth with Jerry, we found we would get the most for our money, and get to stay a few nights longer there, too! He assured us that it was completely safe, that he had taken his small children there and been to our exact resort we ended up going to and had visted there 3 seperate times within the last 6 months. With a tiny bit of apprehension, we decided to go to Valentin Imperial Maya Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico and everything absolutely exceeded our expectations. Jerry hit the nail on the head. He set up an excursion for us, transport to and from the airport (since I guess it can be a little sketch no matter where you go with taxis and trying to take advantage of tourists) and took care of our honeymoon perks as well. He was available by email or phone, was prompt with returning calls or emails and was very flexible with our hectic schedules. I would go to this BEAUTIFUL resort again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone. The food was fantastic, the drinks were delicious, no kids, fun atmosphere, always something to do, great pool and beach, and the list could go on. He made our traveling experience awesome. We will use him again for our travels, and definitely go back to this resort. Thank you, Jerry, for all of your help!!

Holly and Jerry were great to work with. Holly was very informative and found an amazing trip to fit my budget. I have no regrets and will definitely work with them again on our next planned vacation. No matter what your budget is, they will treat you the same. I went to First Discount Travel for my honeymoon. After calling, I was invited into their office for a complimentary consultation. Mr. Katz showed me personal photos of all the resorts and islands he's visited and asked me questions I wouldn't have asked myself. I had never used a travel agent and was surprised to discover their prices were the same or better than Expedia and other travel websites. I will use First Discount Travel for all of my future travel needs.

Holly did a very good job explaining the different options and locations. She returned calls and emails quickly and was a delight to work with. The one suggestion we would make is a more expidited way to recieve honeymoon gifts from our registry. It is difficult to use the honeymoon gifts that come through close to the actual honeymoon after we had already paid it off.

Jaylean and Holly were very responsive to our needs. When we encountered Hurricane Sandy while on vacation, Jaylean did all she could to make sure we were on the first available flight(no small feat). I can not thank her enough for getting us home quickly and assisting my husband with boarding passes. It was wonderful to be able to call and have her right there to help us. Thanks Jaylean! This is a late review, but my fiancé and I visited this travel agency some months ago. Although the lady we were working with was pleasant and seemed competent, the office itself has major issues. It seems that there is no receptionist, as every time you call the office, you get a different person and can remain on 'hold' for quite some time. That also led to long wait times to reach our agent and get a response. When visiting the office, I was so put off by the lack of décor, tiny room that housed all the agents in close proximity, and VERY dirty bathroom, carpets, desks, etc., that we decided to book elsewhere. Although this business may have a good product, I believe that they need to invest in the working process and aesthetics of their office if they want to beat out their competitors.

I don't know if it was the agent we got or what but this service was not very helpful at all. We were wanting to go to an all inclusive resort for our honeymoon and the agent was not very helpful. The only thing she did was browse the internet for us to find prices and info which we already did ourselves. Literally the only value we got out of it was not having to pay for our honeymoon all at once and we got a booklet of all our travel info. I'm glad the service was free or I would have not been happy about it at all.
