Seamless and Beautiful Ceremony

The whole process was wonderful. Rev. Courtenay was easy to work with and crafted a beautiful ceremony for us. She was professional and easy to communicate with and made the entire thing completely stress free. We loved working with her.

Absolutely Perfect!

We wanted a super small in home ceremony(nothing fancy) and Rev. Courtenay did just that! She was early and more prepared than we were! It was perfect! We appreciated her patience while we got the Zoom call up and running, so my husband's family could watch from Puerto Rico!

Rev. Courtenay did a great job! Everyone loved our ceremony and she personalized every detail. She put in a lot of effort to make the ceremony short and sweet, which is exactly what we wanted, while also being incredibly meaningful to both of us. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Couldn't have had a better wedding.

From the first time we seen Firenze wedding Ministries online we just knew they were goinf to be right for us, after our first messages we were set.
I could not have imagined anyone else to bless our perfect day, they both went above and beyons to make our wedding day exactly like we asked. Any questions, they came back with a quick response. No matter what day, they always made me feel like they were excited about this as much as we were.
We were able to write our own vows and she made sure our wedding was completley personalised to us. She got to know us and our story, she became more of a friend.
We were able to incorporate a beautiful handfasting into the ceremony which really was the icing on the cake.
We used their premises and im so glad we did, we were even able to have cats there (crazy cat lady here!) They even took pictures for us! And we were able to have our own music. They really went above and beyond, which made us feel special. Our wedding went without a hitch, it was so beautiful and we couldn't be happier with everything.
I will recommend you to everyone i know.

A wedding ceremony with a personal touch

The wedding ceremony my wife and I had was very well thought out. Rev. Courtenay makes an effort to get to know her clients as much as possible through the planning process to cater to the couple as much as possible in creating their ceremony. We were very satisfied with the services offered throughout the entire process.

Wonderful...more than just a wedding!

Rev. Courtenay was amazing! Our ceremony was beautiful. The readings, the message of love was exactly what we wanted! Our original wedding date was postponed due to a serious car accident driving home from our rehearsal dinner. My daughter was seriously injured and spent a few days at Golisano Children’s Hospital. When I reached out to Rev. Courtenay she came to sit with my daughter at the hospital. When we were finally able to reschedule the wedding, it meant so much to me for her to see my daughter walking down the aisle as my maid of honor. Such a beautiful day!

Reverend Courtenay did an absolutely amazing job at creating the perfect ceremony for us! Not only did she make our ceremony deeply meaningful and customized to our life, she guided us through the whole process from beginning to end and anticipated our needs. She is extremely professional, very personable, quick to respond, and is amazing at creating the perfect day! Plus she was the only one that could calm the nerves of my groom before the ceremony started! We would recommend Rev. Courtaney to anyone and would not have changed a thing, all our guests were blown away with the ceremony!

Rev. Courtenay Weinkauf did my wedding this past weekend and she was absolutely amazing! I was planning a destination wedding for a client and needed an officiant on very short notice. I needed someone who was unique and would not provide the usual cookie cutter ceremony we've all seen a thousand times. I needed someone that would understand the couple, and be flexible enough to accommodate their wishes. Luckily, Reverend Courtenay was able to help! Not only was she helpful, but she wrote a custom sermon that blew the couple away! She went above and beyond to help in any possible way. I highly recommend her!

Rev. Courtenay Weinkauf was the perfect choice to officiate our wedding. She was very helpful working with us to create the ceremonial script to our liking. Rev. Courtenay was the epitome of patience and understanding as we tried to piece together our ceremony. The actual planning and personalization of the handfasting, ceremony and vows was done with remarkable ease. For a life event that is ranked up there with buying a house, a new job, starting a family, or losing a loved one - as one of the most stressful life events anyone can go through - Rev. Courtenay makes the most important part of the day, the actual ceremony, the least stressful part of the entire day. Are original jp cancelled on us a week before the wedding Courtenay came in and saved the day . She was very flexible and helpful even recommended places to get the licence and what we needed to do and bring. We had written are own vows and I was worried that I would forget the words, she was very reassuring and had me email her them just in case I stumble. The ceremony was beautiful and she did a great job of making it feel intament and heartfelt.

Rev. Courtenay Weinkauf was our officiant for our wedding day 6/27/15. Although the weather was not on our side for our outdoor ceremony, her positive spirit and flexibility with what we needed that day was superb. Nothing but a professional. We found Rev. Courtenay to be extremely helpful in planning our wedding day. Our main interest was having our family participate in the ceremony and Rev. Courtenay came up with several ideas that we implemented on our special day. The sand ceremony was beautiful and the grandchildren reciting readings was so touching and memorable. Rev. Courtenay was always professional and responsive during our contacts. She seemed like part of our family at the ceremony and reception and was a joy to work with. We highly recommend her services.

Rev. Weinkauf was very open and accommodating. We had a medieval/Renaissance theme for our small family wedding. She preformed a hand-fasting as well as a ring ceremony for us adapting the service for our circumstances and beliefs. She even dressed up in period attire for us. We are very pleased.

I would def. recommend my wedding officient. I am not religious at all so I was clueless on what to have or even where to start, she had many examples to show you that fits everyone styles. She could always meet with me or come to my house if I couldn't get out because I do have 2 children. She was flexible as we were changing things the night of the rehersal

My partner and I were very pleased with Rev. Courtenay's services. As we were going to be in New York - a state where our marriage would be legal - with family for a few days, we thought we would go ahead and get legally married in an intimate setting in advance of a big family celebration at our church in the fall. This was all extremely last-minute, and Rev. Courtenay accommodated us with literally four days' notice. The service was simple and brief, just as we had requested. She has a warm presence, and is highly responsive. This showed even after the service when there was a minor snag obtaining the marriage certificate (a field on the marriage license was accidentally left blank), but she was highly responsive in getting it resolved quickly.

Rev. Courtenay was fantastic. She was extremely kind, helpful, and was able to answer any questions that we had. Unlike previous officiants that we looked into, she was extremely flexible, and truly listened to what my husband and I wanted. She even gave us some ideas for our ceremony that made it even more special. I would highly recommend Rev. Courtenay to future brides!

Our day was so special!

Courtenay was so great to work with! We were planning our wedding from out of state and she was very accommodating. We had a few phone conversations and she really understood what we were looking for. She put together a beautiful ceremony, incorporating all the things we wanted and executed it perfectly!

My now-husband and I wanted a non-religious officiant for our wedding, but we also didn't want a court-house wedding. Enter Firenze Wedding Ministries, one of the only alternative wedding ministries in our area. Rev. Courtenay wrote and delivered a lovely ceremony, customized to our non-traditional and fairly quirky ideas--everything from readings to unity ceremony. We were very pleased with the result, and I encourage anyone who desires the freedom to make their ceremony their own to call up Firenze Wedding Ministries.

Courtenay kept the ceremony short like we requested and allowed us make it our own! We were told our ceremony was the most touching ceremony they have seen. It was memorable!

We used Rev. Courtenay as our officiant for our winery nuptials. Being an out of town bride, if was difficult to find someone we connected to and understood what we wanted. After our first phone meeting with Rev. Courtenay we felt very comfortable with her and decided to proceed. She worked around our schedule to meet with us when we were up in the area and to make it out to our rehearsal. Together, we created the ceremony we wanted and she was able to input all of our ideas. I would recommend her to all future brides! I have no complaints.

We met Rev. Courtenay and we loved everything she had to offer. She was able to conceptualize us as a couple. She was very responsive via email. We were not a fan of what she wore to our wedding (but in hindsight we didn't even think that would be something we would care about), so if you really care about that make sure you ask what is she going to wear and that you plan accordingly. She was very accommodating in that she wore something with pockets so video could capture our vows, etc. She was also very accommodating in that she attended rehearsal and was great. Other than the dress choice, the only struggle was that Rev. Courtenay didn't send in our wedding license right away and when she did send it she dated our wedding date incorrectly. She wrote in our rehearsal day versus our wedding day. She also wrote in the wrong town of where we got married. You can imagine the level of frustration and stress that fell over us. That put a damper on a lot of things because then our wedding certificate came in incorrect and we had to get it amended at the town clerk's office. And this also delayed my name change. Rev. Courtenay was responsive and appropriately apologetic so that was nice, but still it was all frustrating.

A nightmare to work with

What a nightmare!

We were married over a month ago and after still not receiving our marriage certificate we called our clerk today to find out it was never mailed in. We have been attempting to contact Rev. Courteney for a week already because she left her iPad at our wedding and we have had it this whole time because she did not contact us to get it back as she stated she would. We had also verified with her following our wedding that the certificate was mailed out and she lied to us and said it was.

She was difficult to contact leading up to the wedding but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, now I wish we had canceled her services like my gut had told me to.

We have no idea what to do as we have been having such a hard time contacting her I'm not sure we can even get our original license back (not to mention, she didn't even bring a pen to the wedding and nearly forgot to sign the license at all!! We had to remind her and they had to sign in sharpie, so that could be why she never mailed it in!!)

The ceremony was beautiful but besides that using this vendor was an absolute nightmare. I have had so much stress and anxiety over this. My husband could lose his insurance, we can't file our taxes because we don't even know if we are legally married. We may have to redo the entire thing.

I have requested my original license back and a full refund, I'm hoping they can at least do that much after all of the stress they have caused.

Update- the day I posted this we finally got a response after over 5 days since our email was sent, and only after threatening legal action. Our license was delivered via post to our local clerk, post marked 1/19- over a month after our ceremony and well after the date we were told it was sent out. We were not offered any compensation at all for this, but at least we are not legally married and that stress is out of the picture. The story we were told also did not match the post mark date on the envelope, which our clerk saved for us because she was concerned a professional officiant had waited over 30 days to mail our license. To add- the email I sent that was ignored was sent on 1-18, a day before the license was mailed. Likely not a coincidence- I understand people forget things or life gets busy. My frustration is that we were lied to initially that it was already mailed, that we were ignored when we messaged asking for an update, and that we were lied to again about why the process took so long.

I hired Firenze after finding them in wedding wire with much praise. We met and were told we would hear back from her within a week. A week came and went with no response. Once we began contacting her the week of our rehearsal threw email & phone with no response back, we were forced to finally hire someone else. We finally heard back a day and a half before our wedding with little care. We agreed to a refund but she couldn't until the first of the month, which was disappointing but we understood. The first came and went, we called and emailed constantly ...then the whole month came and went, it was extremely unprofessionally. The next month came and finally a response came after we once we threaten legal auctioned. I want to warn any couple out there, this person was extremely unprofessional. She tried to get out of the refund once we got into the second month and then once we demand, she tried to lessen it to a lesser amount to scam us. She uses ever excuse, she is extremely dishonest, and is rude. I've never had to deal with someone so unprofessional in my life. Please be warned. We finally got our refund today and feel safe enough to warn other now.

Rev. Courtenay did not show up to our rehearsal. I waited a half hour and then called her. She informed me that she was not coming because she felt sick, and had emailed me to let me know (less than an hour before our rehearsal was scheduled, I hadn't checked my email because I already had family arriving!). She then told me she "should be fine for the wedding". Needless to say, we didn't trust that she would show up! So we found a last minute officiant to come to the rehearsal and wedding. She refused to refund us the full amount, stating that WE canceled, the rehearsal isn't her duty, it's just a nice service she offers that "most couples don't even need" and she "doesn't see what the big deal is". The contract states she will only refund half if she fulfills her duties, so we were told we would get a half refund. It is now over 3 months later and we still haven't even received that. DO NOT book here, your rehearsal AT THE VERY LEAST will be ruined.
