Amazing Team and Video

Huge shoutout to Fine Art Wedding Film and Desmond for capturing our engagement and wedding so beautifully. Our engagement video was so good that booking them again for the wedding was an easy choice — and they still managed to exceed our expectations. Every video feels cinematic and truly professional, like watching a movie of our own love story.
We worked with Desmond for almost a year from engagement to wedding, and his communication, creativity, and attention to detail were amazing the entire time. On top of that, he’s just genuinely friendly and easy to be around, which made everything feel natural and fun. You can really feel the passion he has for what he does.
Even though we live far from DC, Desmond went out of his way to meet with us and do pre-event shoots so everything was perfect. We’re so grateful for the memories he captured and can’t recommend Fine Art Wedding Film enough to anyone looking for a truly cinematic wedding video experience.

Creative and unique videographers

Fine Art Weddings is amazing - we wanted something creative and unique and totally not in the same cookie cutter mold as most wedding videos. They delivered and then some... caught some great candid moments that we thought no one even noticed. Plus the video is fun to watch and keeps your eyes glued to the screen the entire time. Absolutely amazing!

My husband and I truly have no words to express how much we love our video. We laughed, we cried and we lived the day all over again while we watched it. It will now be our tradition to watch it on every anniversary and we cannot wait to have our children watch with us one day. And hopefully our grandchildren as well. We could not be more grateful for all of the hard work they put into this film. Their talent and professionalism is just absolutely mind blowing. I wish I could better explain how thrilled we are with the final product. They were also so great to work with on the day of. They blended into the background of the wedding to capture authentic moments and were very polite and professional during our interactions. We did get the thank you note add on, but it was not much more than the sneak peak, but everything else was so amazing I really don’t mind. Their communication has also been very fast and professional.

From our first conversation with Fine Art Wedding Film, we knew we had found our videographer. They communicated with us throughout the entire planning process, checking in on details and making sure they understood our vision for the day. Fine Art Wedding Film

We chose Fine Art Wedding Film for our videographer and we're glad we did. When they were responsive, their communication was thorough and helpful, though we didn't hear from them often. The biggest challenge was the wait for our finished video—it took longer than expected and we had to follow up several times with little word from their end. Despite the slow turnaround, the final product was absolutely worth it. They captured all the moments that mattered most to us in a truly cinematic way. The film they created is beautiful and exactly what we envisioned for our wedding day.

Timeless, Personal, and Perfectly Us

We are beyond grateful to Fine Art Wedding Film for the incredible wedding video they created for us at Old House Vineyards. The film is absolutely stunning — cinematic, emotional, and beautifully crafted in a way that feels timeless yet completely personal to us. They captured our quirks, our personalities, and all the little in-between moments that made the day uniquely ours. Even moments that felt slightly awkward in real time somehow look effortless and amazing on film — their eye for lighting, angles, and storytelling is truly an art form.

I especially loved the fun getting ready glamour shoot they did with me (the bride) — it felt playful, stylish, and straight out of a movie. Captured the Magic and Meaning of Our Wedding Perfectly

We are so glad we chose Fine Art Wedding Films to capture our wedding at Birkby House. On the day, with rain clouds rolling in, our videographer stayed calm and collected, which really helped keep the mood positive. He was quick to adjust plans on the fly and never missed a beat, which meant we didn’t lose any special moments.

I knew he would use his creativity to commemorate our mini-mony with such authenticity and energy. We decided to do an IG reel and a longer video. When Desmond sent over the IG reel it carried such energy… by the end of it we were clapping as if we just watched a great movie! He truly delivered and in such a timely fashion. Our longer video is on its way, but will be delivered weeks in advance. Absolutely no regrets hiring Fine Art! Planned a beautiful small wedding and I’m glad I had an artist like Desmond to add the finishing touches to commemorate the day!

True Artists

I could not be happier with my wedding video. I did a lot of research on photography and videography because at the end of the day, after all the planning and expense of ALL THE THINGS, the only thing that truly preserves the moments are the pictures and the videos. And because there are family members and friends you know you won’t have forever, I really wanted to be able to look back on speeches, etc. and hear their voices, see them dancing. I looked at a LOT of wedding films, and educated myself a little bit about the different styles of videography. I wanted artistic moments enhancing specific moods, light, and movement, but I also wanted a feeling of natural authenticity. What I got far exceeded my expectations, and I would venture to say that Desmond and his team were also more affordable than many videographers out there, which helped me stay on budget. Desmond was so easy to work with, and the beauty and artistry of the video made us very emotional while we watched it for the first time - we can’t wait to share it with our friends/family. I also found that Desmond and his team worked very well with my photographer and demonstrated absolute professionalism at all times. They even helped us keep the mood light when we had a teeny bit of family drama that was making me a little crazy lol….for which I can’t thank them enough. Desmond was willing to work with me on last minute “a la carte” requests as well. I know people generally wait a long time for fully edited “feature length” wedding films; Desmond told us at the beginning that it would take approximately 2-3 months to get the video and he delivered it on schedule as agreed. Bonus: the thumb drive arrived within a beautiful wood memory box with intricate logo and thank you card on heavy stationary. Even the thumb drive looked like a piece of art. It’s something we are proud to display. I would recommend
Fine Art Films ten times over.

The kindest and most professional videographer crew you could ever need on your special day

My wedding planner introduced me to Desmond and Fine Art Wedding Film when I was looking for a videographer for my wedding, and my experience with Desmond and his team on the special day has been nothing but a wonderful pleasure. Desmond is probably the nicest person I've ever met and he was so patient towards us during the entire process. In the beginning, he sent us a very detailed questionnaire so he can gauge what's important to us, and if there is anything the team needs to avoid (which was super thoughtful because there were a few things I was really self conscious about). I met Desmond for the first time on my wedding day (we've had multiple emails and phone calls exchanges before that), and even though I was a busy bride, he showed me sooo much grace and kindness. My very introverted mom LOVED him because of how easy to get along he was. When we got the videos back from our wedding, you can tell that he spent a lot of time and love to making them, and my entire family cried at the beautiful footage and editing we got back. He also sent us a very beautiful package with a USB and hard drive with all of out special memories in it. Absolutely blown away

We could not be happier with our decision to use Fine Art Wedding Film. We were initially drawn to them because of their beautiful portfolio and customizable build-your-own packages - they are truly unique above other companies we considered in that regard. We especially appreciated this after the wedding as we were able to add on additional elements which we initially were not sure if we wanted. We are so glad we did as their work is truly beautiful.

Desmond was our videographer on the wedding day and he was incredibly professional. I was worried about having that feeling of being on camera all day, but Desmond faded in the background in the best way possible. There are so many moments captured in our wedding video where we did not even realize Desmond had been there and filming - it was all very natural. The footage he captured of my husband talking about his emotions before the first look felt as if Dennis was talking to a friend, and not as all as if he was being interviewed.

The final product is absolutely stunning -- the flow between clips, the colors, the music, and the audio selections. I think most of the people who watched it ended up tearing up. We received the video far earlier than we had expected, and were able to celebrate one month of marriage by watching out video together. Their attention to detail is also unmatched. To highlight just one example: the groomsmen had plastic rocks glasses in their suite, and we noticed that the team edited in the sound of glasses clinking on a clip where the guys were toasting.

What stands out about his work the most to me is that he is able to tailor each video he does to what the couple is looking for. Book Dreams Brought to Life

I am an avid reader. It was important to me for my wedding day (the experience, the photos, and the video) to feel like it was a fantasy novel brought to life. And that is exactly what this video portrays. I could not be happier. My wedding video was beautiful and I feel like they really captured the feelings and emotion of the day. Amazing videographer! You will feel like a movie star!

Desmond and Vera were amazing to work with! They were great at communicating prior to the day of the wedding. They gave me a lot of info to help prepare me for being videoed and to help me figure out what style of wedding video I would like. The day of the wedding they came early and stayed throughout the entire event, and were very kind and professional. I tend to be very awkward in front of a camera, but they made me feel comfortable. They also worked with me to make sure they got any extra shots that I wanted. They got a lot of great footage of the reception but did not interrupt or get in the way of any of the celebration.

We asked for an Instagram teaser video and a full length video. They finished both promptly and both were incredible! I could tell they took into account what I wanted as far as editing and style. The videos feel like a perfect encapsulation of the day and I absolutely love them! Their production quality is so high, I felt like I was watching myself in a blockbuster movie. My husband and I can't stop watching them! I would HIGHLY recommend working with them for your wedding!!!

Beyond happy with them!

I have to admit that I was a bit worried when we booked with Desmond and Vera. As MOB, I had researched every vendor very carefully for my daughter’s wedding, but when we were at a wedding expo, their booth caught our eye and, after talking with them for a few minutes, we put down a deposit without reading any reviews or anything.

Flash forward about a year, when the wedding was postponed due to Covid. Desmond and Vera were able to reschedule us for the following year without any fuss.

Any concerns I had about a videographer being intrusive and getting in the way on the wedding day were quickly alleviated. They were able to stay out of the way of the photographer yet were still able to capture everything…and I mean everything!

And the finished product…oh my god, they did such a beautiful job. We’ve only seen the one-minute teaser and 5-minute speech highlights so far on Instagram, but they are both amazing…really like a Hollywood production! It’s obvious that they are filmmakers, not just videographers.

The best recommendation comes from my husband, who was wondering why we were spending even more money on a videographer. As soon as he saw the Instagram teasers, he was in tears!

Can’t wait to see the final, full-length film!

Speechless!!

Run, don’t walk and book a Fine Art Wedding Film as your wedding videographers. I stumbled upon Fine Art Wedding Film at a BridalExpo and once I saw their videos I could not get their amazing work out of my head. When the time came to book a videographer, I already knew who I was going to book.

Desmond and his team are simply amazing and their work is phenomenal! We recently received our wedding video (which was way earlier than we were expecting it) and I do not have words for it. It was beyond wonderful! We can not thank them enough for it, the cinematography was amazing and it brought tears to my eyes. They were able to capture the most important parts of the wedding. We had a Catholic Mass and the way they paired the reading to the video was gorgeous and perfect (I love that I have my grandma's reading on video). It was so nice to be able to see how it all looked from an outsider's point of view!

Desmond did an amazing job, beyond amazing! I am not even sure if there are words to describe it. We were also surprised at the length of the video. Knowing our wedding was on the smaller side and expecting a shorter video we were completely surprised at the length- WOW! I absolutely loved the parts where they filmed us in front of the National Archives, and at the sweetheart table where they did a cool camera flip. And the music was paired perfectly to the events that day.

This will surely be on repeat at our house for years to come (and it is already on a daily repeat at our parents’ houses). It is definitely the timeless video that we were hoping for! Desmond has a remarkable talent when it comes to videos.

Excellent Film Making Duo!

I highly recommend Fine Art Wedding Film to those looking for someone to help capture a special moment/event on film. Desmond and Vera are partners in life and work and did an amazing job capturing our wedding day! We received highlight film from them (so far) and are anxiously/excitedly awaiting to receive and view the long film once it is finalized. They did a lovely job creating a glimpse of our story in the highlight film that elicited happy tears and smiles. With COVID, there were many other factors to consider and decision-making during times of so many uncertainties. It was mid-March when places began closing in Virginia that we began working with Fine Art Wedding Film. Desmond and Vera were flexible with our change in wedding date from July to September. There was no fee for the first change wedding date which was extremely appreciated and helpful when making a decision about selecting a provider for videography/filming.

During the wedding planning process, they stayed connected, reached out to check in on certain progress in planning, and emailed us suggestions/tips for making all video/filming events as beautiful and special as possible. They were readily available to coordinate time to talk and brainstorm ideas and/or create a mood board to get an idea of a vision for the “couples’ shoot.” We are doing things a bit backwards and plan to do the couples shoot soon (now after the wedding instead of prior to our wedding). Desmond and Vera have been flexible with this and emailed us their calendar to help with coordinating a date that may work for us both. They have also emailed ideas for beautiful locations for the shoot.

Our photographer and Desmond and Vera had not worked together prior to our wedding. They all met with us within 1 month of the wedding to view the venue, plan for spaces to capture photos and videos, discuss work practices, and plan for being mindful of one another’s space. It was helpful to learn more about how they collaborate with other vendors and the collaboration went really well. We got the package with the 4k resolution quality video and it is definitely worth it to get this quality of film! The picture is really clear. You can tell that the editing was done with great thought and attention to detail (e.g. sounds of nature, music sounds that match up with certain movements and paces of movements, etc.). On our wedding day, Desmond and Vera were a couple of the first people on site, capturing video with a drone and the space before we (and others) arrived. They quietly worked throughout the day and showed a high level of professionalism in their work. It was a pleasure having them join in the celebration and help us create a beautiful way to relive the day via film! Thank you Desmond and Vera :)

Wow!!! Desmond and his team went above and beyond for our small wedding. We were going to have 80 but ended up with 25 because of the Covid, we had close family. Professional and High Quality Wedding Film

Desmond and Vera went above and beyond for our small micro wedding. They were very professional while filming and a joy to work with. They listened to what features we liked and wanted to have in our film. The editing in our wedding film is of such high quality that it feels like we have our very own feature film. Our family and friends loved the teaser trailer since it gave them a glimpse into our wedding day despite not being able to attend. Phenomenal Product and Personalized Attention

Trust us - you want to hire Desmond and Vera

This is not our first time working with Desmond and Vera, so we feel confident saying that Desmond and Vera are absolutely the best videographers that you could hire to capture your wedding day or special moments - no matter the number of people. My now husband and I hired Desmond and Vera for our April, 2020 wedding (changed due to COVID-19). When selecting our new large-reception date, we knew that maintaining them as our videography team was a top priority.

Due to the uncertainty of the world, we decided that we wanted a small, intimate ceremony this summer before our postponed, larger celebration later on. Desmond and Vera were thankfully available and have worked magic to make our elopement video a work of art that we can't wait to share with all of our friends and family. Desmond and Vera's cinematic approach makes you feel as though you're the most special couple in the world, and the quality is unmatched. My now husband and I have already discussed how timeless their videography is, and how our future children and grandchildren will appreciate their quality and how well the day was captured.

Just the beginning

Amazing Engagement Shoot

At this point, we've only done our engagement shoot with Fine Art Wedding Film, but it's been a great experience so far. Initially, we weren't going to have videography, but they had a booth next to our photographer at a wedding show we went to, and our photographer was raving about their work, so we took a chance. Even with all the COVID craziness, they were very responsive and flexible in scheduling. And on the day of shooting, they were relaxed, fun and easy to work with. We didn't have a lot of direction, but they pretty quickly were able to figure out our style, and the video (which they got finished in less than a week!) captured us and our vibe beautifully. Can't wait to work with them on our wedding day!

One of my FAVORITE wedding vendors

I found A Fine Art Wedding Film at a random bridal expo my future cousin and I went to. When I tell you they were the ONLY vendor we had our eyes on we meant it. I went ahead and booked them on the spot almost a year out from my wedding.

Since then I have spoken with them at least once a month and now more frequently after scheduling and doing our engagement video shoot with them on top of our wedding coming up in a few months.

Not only did Desmond and Vera provide us with tips for their videography services but they also have given us advice on our wedding too!

Based on their Social Media presence you can tell that they keep busy but you would never know it with their spot on communication!!

Amazing Videographer!!

Desmond and Vera were absolutely wonderful to work with! I decided last minute to hire a videographer. Fine Art Wedding Film had initially caught my eye so I reached out to them. Desmond was very quick and responsive to all my questions and was very professional. During the actual wedding day, Desmond and Vera arrived early and started capturing our special moments as soon as they got there. I can't say enough great things about Desmond and Vera! Upon first speaking with Vera at a bridal expo, I booked right away because I loved their video quality and I immediately felt comfortable with Vera and comfort level was very important to me. Leading up to our first shoot, Desmond was very responsive to emails and was able to ease my mind when I had questions about the contract. My fiance and I were running late to the shoot location because we had trouble finding Desmond and Vera in the park. I started to stress but once I saw that they weren't at all concerned I was able to relax. The engagement shoot was so easy and laid back. Fine Art Wedding Film was absolutely wonderful to work with. My fiance and I met Desmond and Vera at a Bridal show-- their work truly spoke for itself. Desmond and Vera made us feel so at ease in choosing them-- from their professional, yet relatable attitude to their stellar portfolio of highly personalized work. Their packages are fairly priced and fully customizable in regards to final products and add-ons, so we felt confident in selecting them. We added a “couples shoot” add on to our package (which is like an engagement shoot, but for video) and the experience was amazing! Delightful experience and STUNNING product

Choosing Desmond and Vera to do our videography was THE BEST DECISION! They're so easy going and we immediately felt so at home in front of the camera with them. They're just fantastic. Amazingly talented and lovely people

I have had the opportunity to work with them and use their services several times. They take your special day and turn it into a creative love story that you want to watch over and over again. I think it might be due to their film background, as they always seem to capture the little special moments in a creative and artful manner.
