Lyd is an amazing baker and confectionery! My fiancé and I died a cake tasting in June (wedding in October) and invited a close couple friends to join in the fun. Of the four flavors we tried, we decided on the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yummy! I shared my wedding color pallet with Lyd and she totally blew me away with the design of the cake. The floral arrangement was just wow! I couldn’t have been happier! My event planner presented me and my now husband with a card and lovely take home gift from Lyd, carrot cake cupcakes!! It definitely made for a delicious treat on the way to my honeymoon. Thanks again to Lydia’s Cakes and Confections!

Amazing cake artist!
Working with Lydia was the perfect choice for our showstopper wedding cake. We found her at a wedding expo in Seattle and loved her samples. She has an impressive variety of cake and icing flavors. Lydia is also a gifted artist whose medium is cake. We told her we wanted a spectacular peacock wedding cake and let her design whatever she wanted. She created a beautiful cake that was unique inside and out. It was so much fun to cut into our confetti and Oreo buttercream cake!

Amazing!! Beyond thrilled with the desserts!
Lydia made my two-tiered wedding cake & 16 dozen cupcakes for my wedding last weekend. She was a blast to work with and the treats were delicious. Amazing flavor and design!
We got Married in back in May of 2022, we hired Lydia for our wedding cake. We had a cake tasting where we chose 5 different combinations of bread and filling, the tasting was great because she explined all the flavors and what goes inti them in detail. We had 2 we really liked so she suggested to do both, so we did! (Oh and we got to take the left over home) Shes so creative, showed her a photo of what we wanted and our cake actually turned out better than the photo! At our wedding day, she also left 4 cupcakes the same flavors of our cake for us to have later, that was very sweet of her! One of the most important things is that she personally delivered the cake to our venue, that gave me piece of mind that it'll be there in perfect condition. The cake was flavorfull exactly like when we went to the taste test. Overall our experience with Lydia was 11/10. Thank you so much Lydia, you're awesome!

My husband and I got married in July! Lydia is absolutely amazing!! She was so sweet because I could only make it to pick up the cupcakes for our tasting! Not only did she send me home with cupcakes, she sent me home with extra goodys! She listened to all of my ideas and helped my dreams come true! Her and her husband are the sweetest and so funny!! I loved working with her :)
OH! And the cakes!!!!! AMAZING! The decorating was beautiful and the flavors just melt in your mouth! Everyone loved them!

Unbelievable combination of beautiful cakes with incredible flavor!
Lydia is an incredible baker, artist, and wedding consultant! She brought our Dungeon & Dragons themed wedding to life while giving us the best cake I've ever tasted. We selected 3 cupcakes and assorted squares for our guests to give more variety, with a small cake for my husband and I. Everyone LOVED them - we ordered more than one per person and had nothing left over!! I'm still dreaming of them. Highly recommend the strawberry cake - the flavor of fresh strawberries is so infused in the cake, it's absolutely remarkable. That said, there are no poor decisions here. Everything was delicious and beautiful and service was exceptional.

I absolutely loved working with Lydia for my wedding desserts. My husband and I had a small backyard ceremony and ordered a small cake for us to cut and a dozen cupcakes for our guests. Ordering with Lydia was easy. She was responsive and collaborative about the design/decorations. Lydia's Cakes and Confections was recommended to me by more than one venue and fortunately, they are located within an easy driving distance from us. Planning a Wedding through a Pandemic was definitely a bumpy right but Lydia made the process easy and seamless for us, through the flexibility of e-mails, phone calls, and in-person meetings we were able to make our Wedding cake a sweet dream come true! We opted to do a smaller cake for the cake-cutting ceremony and got several dozen mini cupcakes for our guests, and everything was aesthetically-pleasing and delicious, not to mention she was able to create a few Vegan options for our Vegan and lactose-intolerant friends! We discussed what the cake would look like and Lydia asked me for examples of cakes I enjoyed so I grabbed a few pictures from Pinterest and what she came up with took my breath away and was better than I expected. Would definitely recommend them!

Delicious cake and brownies
Lydia made a beautiful 3-tier cake for our wedding.
Lydia invited us to do a cake tasting at her storefront which she walked through the different kinds of cake and frosting she offered.
We ended up going with a chocolate cake a white buttercream frosting. It was super delicious!
She is was also very accommodating to us needed to change out the sheet cake due to less guests attending. We ended up adding brownies for people to take home and they are very good!
She even left some thank you cupcakes on the day of!

Lydia made our two tiered cake and mini cupcakes look amazing and taste even better. I can not stress enough how flavorful and moist everything was. We had one flavor for the cake and three for the mini cupcakes, and all were huge hits. We got tons of compliments. She even put together a box of 4 cupcakes for us and a note that was sitting at our seats when we got to the reception. Perfect for a late night, post wedding snack. She was also very accommodating during the cake tasting too. Can not recommend her enough.

My fiancé was actually the one who found Lydia, and even though at the time he had several vendors he was accessing I think we both knew from the start she’d be the one! She has always answered us quickly, she’s upfront about every detail and one look at her work online or in person and you’re guaranteed to fall in love! She is an amazing artist and very friendly which is obviously a HUGE plus! I can’t wait for our guests to “ooh” and “awe” at the cake at our wedding because I know they’re not even going to believe us when we tell them the flowers on our cake are made of sugar!

Exceptional Personal Touches & Attention to Detail
Lydia is a joy to work with. From the very start-a mini cake tasting party with my girlfriends (husband and I were living in different countries) we couldn't have been happier to have Lydia as a part of our absolute dream of a wedding. She went above and beyond to create the cake flavors and design we hoped for (you get two types of cakes if you want, plus she makes her own fondant and uses fresh berries for her fruit layers and cakes-Amazingly yummy). She even made mini cakes and left a sweet card for us to take home from the wedding which was beyond thoughtful and so appreciated. If you want to work with a truly creative and lovely human being for your gorgeous cake then Lydia is a must. She even custom designed a wood looking cake round for the base of our actual cake which everyone thought was honestly a real wood round until someone finally decided to test the theory-she is that good!. We live in Vancouver but were getting married in Maple Valley so after some research (Thank you Google) we decided to reach out to Lydia. Because of the distance a lot of our communication took place through email. Lydia was extremely professional, prompt, patient, and kind the entire time. She really worked with us to nail down how we wanted our cake to look (not easy since we had a ton of ideas). And when we did settle on a design she walked through the process of making it for us as well as costs during a cake tasting. Her cakes are absolutely delicious by the way (we had an almond cake that several people raved about). In the end she delivered an absolutely beautiful (and yummy) cake that went beyond our expectations. It had these beautiful sugar maple leaves that were incredibly detailed and delicate. I went out of my way to show people and felt guilty cutting into it (until I took a bite)!
Lydia is wonderful and came with no added stress so I would for sure recommend her to anyone for anything!

Lydia was professional, accommodating, and super sweet through the whole process. She invited us into her home for a cake tasting where we got to try her delicious cakes for the first time. They were all so good, it was hard to choose. We ended up going with her most popular flavor- strawberry with strawberry filling for our tiered cake. We also got a chocolate sheet cake with chocolate mousse frosting. Both were so soooo good.
We were originally going to get fresh flowers for our cake, but when we saw her amazingly detailed sugar flowers, we were blown away.
The cake was a highlight of our wedding and we couldn't be happier.

I looked at the other two recommendations at Chambers and I am not fond of Corrinas and then I looked at the other company and their cakes were too traditional. What we liked about Lydia was the creativity of her cakes and when we saw the snowmowble and we had jet skis we new we wanted her. She was very responsive, her cake choices were great and she delivered more that what we had hoped for. Everyone at our wedding marveled at the cake.

Lydia was so fantastic and her cakes are amazing! I had a specific picture in mine - a painting of peonies - that she turned into the cake of my dreams. She made peonies in multiple colors out of sugar that she added to the cake and it was so beautiful! People were amazed that they weren't real! We did vanilla and chocolate layers with raspberry filling - guests were coming back for seconds and asking who did the cake. Wedding cake often isn't very good but ours was so delicious! Lydia is talented, responsive, dependable, and incredibly kind - I can't recommend her highly enough!

You would be out of your mind to look any further for a cake vendor.
We tried a number of "top-rated" cake vendors in the area, and they literally weren't even in the same league as Lydia. Don't be fooled by her at-home operation-- the fact that she does this as an out-of home business means that her cakes TASTE home baked, as opposed to generic and frozen. This lasted like the cake of my childhood- moist, flavorful, not too rich and wonderfully textured. And that was just the flavor!!
She is a true artist in every sense of the word... the cake she designed for us was fully customized, beautiful and creative. And don't even get me started on the sugar flowers. I have never seen anything like it. Working with Lydia was a true pleasure, and I could not imagine getting a cake from anywhere else. Best decision ever.

Lydia was absolutely amazing! I really wasn't that into a cake, but it was important to our parents so I started looking around. I fell in love as soon as I talked to Lydia on the phone. The tasting was so much fun, and seeing all of her sugar flowers was the clincher. They look so incredibly real (so real in fact that our sugar flowers accidentally got thrown away after our reception because someone thought they looked like random flowers that had fallen off a bouquet!) In true form, Lydia offered to make us new ones so that we can treasure them forever. I would HIGHLY recommend her services to anyone. We've already sent 3 couples her way. You won't be disappointed!

I was looking for a delicious tasting, affordable, beautiful cake maker in the South King County area- and I was so lucky to find the very best cake lady in the Seattle area! Lydia's cake tastes amazing, which for me was the most important thing, but not only that she makes gorgeous cakes. She took the time to help me create the perfect cake for us. Her sugar flowers are incredible and I had to actually point out to guests at our wedding that the tulips were not real but in fact made of sugar. You'd be crazy not to work with Lydia.

Lydia did such a wonderful job on my daughter's first birthday cake. I sent her over a copy of the invitation and the cake she created matched so perfectly. Everyone at the party kept saying how beautiful the cake was. I would certainly use Lydia again for future cakes!

Lydia is a sweet, genuine, accommodating ARTIST. Her hand made flowers are absolutely incredible! Her cakes were varied and she actually came to our daughter's home for a tasting. As much as her artist abilities are superb, her baking is just a fabulous! The chocolate mousse and the fresh strawberry vanilla were moist and very tasty. Good Luck Lydia! Best. Cake. EVER! I can't even begin to explain how impressed I was with Finale Signature Cakes. Lydia took my Pinterest dreams (that were all over the place), and designed me a cake that I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined. I wish I could share a picture of the creation!!! She's a true artist. If you don't taste (and book) her fresh strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream frosting- you're crazy! I still have people bringing up the flavor of the cake, along with how gorgeous it was. The flowers on her sites are all SUGAR! The leaves, the petals, everything, all sugar flowers! When I showed my wedding coordinator she said she didn't believe me and that "she's sure they are real flowers, I think you're mistaken"- ha! THAT'S how real they look! Act fast! She's busy and maxes out, so don't wait to book!!

If you are looking for a unique wedding cake then Lydia is your person. My daughter was looking for a non-traditional topping for her cake and asked Lydia if she could design a top with 2 salmon on it. I know it sounds unusual, but they both grew up fishing with their families and it is part of them. At the beginning of their dating my daughter and her fiance were fishing at Westport and she landed a 47 pound salmon. This became the theme of their wedding. When we asked Lydia if she could do a salmon, she said she had done a fish before and was up for the challenge. It turned out an absolute masterpiece with an incredible amount of detail. She presented a sketch with 2 salmon on it as my daughter requested and it was made by Lydia using sugar. All the guest were in awe of it. It was a true work of art. Not only did the cake look good, it tasted delicious! Lydia was very professional and easy to work with.

Lydia is one of a kind. For her tasting, she opened up her home to us, and made 4 different small cakes to try along with some of her amazing marshmellow fondant. We instantly fell in love with the amazing flavors and unique combinations she provided. It is simply the best cake I've ever had. I highly recommend her signature strawberry - the guests were raving about it! Not only does she make tasty cakes, she also is an outstanding artist. Her sugar flowers look so real and elegant, and the best part of all is I get to keep them forever. She made a 5 tier gorgeous cake for the wedding, and we kept the fondant on because it is so delicious. She never freezes her cake - and refuses to let you - she invited me to contact her in a year to get a small cake made for my husband and I's 1 year anniversary. She is lovely - I highly recommend her!

I honestly can't say enough great things about my experience with Lydia. She made every step of the wedding cake process easy and worry free! The tasting exceeded my expectations, and I was pleasantly faced with the tough choice of trying to pick between the various cake flavors because they were all so amazing. I provided Lydia with a baseline for my design, and she ran with it! She suggested the using custom sugar flowers, which I never would've thought of doing. But I'm SO GLAD I did! They were literally the centerpiece of the cake, and the cake was the centerpiece of my dessert bar. My words of advice? If you're looking for a talented cake designer who is patient, flexible and incredibly talented, go with Lydia and Finale - Signature Cakes by Lydia! <3

I don't even know where to begin... The cake was so delicious and looked just wonderful! (I highly recommend the strawberry cake with buttercream frosting...) Her fondant is absolutely fantastic too! My husband proposed in Disneyland so we wanted the wishing well as a cake topper and Lydia was able to create the most beautifully detailed reproduction out of sugar- it looked just perfect! I also got the idea into my head that I'd like to surprise my husband with a rice krispy cake since he loves them so much. With just a few texts, I was able to arrange that with Lydia. Lydia was absolutely AMAZING from the beginning to the end. On top of this the cake was to die for. Fondant usually tastes yucky... well Lydia makes hers from scratch and it is delicious!! Then the cake... OMG it was a true TBO (taste buds orgasm). My fiance (now husband), maid of honor, flower girl and I went for the tasting it was so much fun. Lydia explained the number of hours she puts into hand making each flower... There is amazing craftsmanship and love put into every cake. I personally can't wait to use her for my 50th in February!!
I would recommend Lydia to anyone and I do.

The cake Lydia made for us was not actually a wedding cake, but a cake for our stable's Christmas Party. Lydia crafted the most clever cake for us horse people. I am sorry I cannot post a photo of it here, but there are several on Lydia's website: Finale - Signature Cakes By Lydia. The cake was incredible! The details included a show jumping obstacle with horse and rider jumping it, a first place prize ribbon, horse shoes with rhinestones, etc... And the cake was delicious! Before the cake was cut, there was a line of people wanting to take photos of this amazing cake.

Lydia offered competitive prices and superior quality to anything we'd seen or tasted. We tried multiple bakeries that all offered beautiful designs, yet the flavors and textures were always lacking. Once we sampled a Finale cake we knew we'd found the right baker/artist. We presented her with unique cake design ideas and she created a personalized design better than anything we'd imagined. Presentation is such a huge part of a wedding cake, but the taste blew our guests away. The quality of the ingredients is apparent in the flavor and texture of the cake, frosting and fondant. Lydia makes her own fondant and it tastes amazing! Everything is genuinely homemade with real ingredients - no artificial flavors or funny stuff. We had a strawberry cake with real strawberries! My husband and I never had wedding cake at our Vegas wedding and I always regretted it. On our 10th anniversary I hired lydia to make me a cake. Not any old cake. You see we got married on Halloween and share a love for the movie "a nightmare before Xmas". With very few details from me I let lydia use her incredible talent to construct the most amazing theme cake I have ever seen. She didn't leave out a single detail. Every finger (skeleton no less) every wrinkle on the fabric of the character costumes, even the most fabulous mini pumpkin faces. It brought a tear to my eye to cut into it. Lydia has made me a few cakes now and every time my jaw drops open. She really needs very little direction from the client as she is a true artist with a passion for her work. And now finally the taste, because a incredible cake must taste good. Let's just say anytime she has scraps I am on her door step with a plate. You don't want to stop eating. She has wonderful flavor choices and the cake is cooked to perfection. I will never, ever hire anyone else. Customer for life!

Lydia made a cake topper for our wedding and it was beyond perfect!!! We wanted custom Minions(from the despicable me movie) bride and groom for our cake. Lydia had me send a picture of my dress and a description of my husbands suite, they perfectly matched us and our clothes. The hair, eye colors, and clothes were perfect! She exceeded our expectations, this was one of the only things that went smoothly. Lydia is very professional and you can tell she loves what she does. Amazing bakery used for my wedding cake
I met Lydia's Cake & Confections at the Seattle Wedding Expo. I was able to contact her and complete my order all over email which was really easy and convenient. I brought her a selection of flowers/greenery to arrange on my cake and she did a superb job with that display. I picked up the cake myself, it didn't slide around at all but I wish it would have been packaged or secured in some type of box just in case; although there were no issues transporting it as is. The cake was very tasty and Lydia included a lovely thank you card. We spent enough to qualify for a small free anniversary cake which is an amazing bonus! I would definitely recommend this bakery. they have so many dessert options and cake flavors to choose from.

Everything we could have dreamed of in our wedding cake! Outstanding job! Lydia was very flexible with us and delivered our cake to our venue for free! She helped us design our cake and gave great ideas. She allowed us to make our own cake toppers! If you're looking for someone to make your cake, this is your gal!

Lydia was very responsive to all of my emails and questions. I had asked her to create a cake with a theme that she had never done before and it turned out perfect! Her cakes are super and I would definitely use her again when I am looking for a custom cake. Awesome cake and service!

Wedding Cake was beauiful , exceeded my exceptions . Lydia was very nice and easy to work with , she is quite artist .We choose chocolate with fresh raspberry filling for bottom layer it was delish , top layer had almond poppyseed with lemon filling it didn't hold together as well .thank you Lydia

Great wedding cake and quite delicious. How we be aware that to receive your anniversary small cake. “My policy is to contact me 2 weeks prior to your anniversary to place your order and schedule the pickup. It needed to be picked up within one week of your anniversary date. I'm sorry.” Her words not ours. It Was not in our contract we were just told she would give us one. Advisement for you as a client.

Lydia was a pleasure to work with. And her cake was delicious! She was very flexible in when we could meet and who could join for the tasting! Her flowers were absolutely amazing and she worked right off the design I wanted! It looked great and just the way I imagined it! Her delivery fee was very reasonable and she worked with our wedding budget!

The cake tasted AMAZING! The presentation was not what I expected. She said it was the buttercream that did not hold up to the heat. But that when you bring extra to fix it. My guests were happy do I'm happy but I was disappointed on how it looked.
