Best wedding/event DJ in DC!
Jaafar was amazing to work with and really made our wedding so much more fun! Throughout the entire process from the moment we first spoke, we knew Jaafar and Fes Hat would elevate our night! He helped us plan out our music and make sure we had great song choices for everything; Jaafar even created a brilliant mash up for the father/daughter dance! Awesome DJ
Jafaar did a great job helping us out through the planning stages by giving us song suggestions and running through the timeline for the day. On the wedding day he kept people out on the dance floor by doing a fantastic job mixing music that was fun to dance to. I am glad we had him as our DJ and would highly recommend him as a wedding DJ.

Saved the day
Our original DJ canceled 4 days before our wedding and recommended Jaafar as a replacement. We are beyond thankful that Jaafar immediately reached out and set up a meeting with us. He was so easy to work with, by the time the wedding day arrived we felt we had been working with him the entire time. He executed everything perfectly for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Our guests stated it was the best cocktail and dinner music they ever experienced at a wedding! Our dance floor was packed before the dance party time of the reception officially began, and stayed packed until the last song. Our guest enjoyed every moment of the dance party and song selection. Jaafar was given little guidance by us in music selection and was able to read the room and play the all the songs that kept people dancing. We will be recommending Jaafar to all our friends and family for weddings and my office for future business events.

Great vibes and a great party with DJ Jaafar!
Jaafar was excellent. We went to a friend’s wedding where he DJ’d and my wife and I knew right away that we wanted him to DJ our wedding. He was extremely responsive, flexible, and so nice. Good music is the cornerstone of a great wedding and Jaafar kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night, playing hit after hit. I would recommend him to anyone!

We danced all night long the DJ was so good!
Fes Hat Entertainment makes a great event! I hired Jaafar to DJ my wedding and he was fantastic! It was easy to reach out to him and he was prompt at sending a contract, locking in my date and accepts various types of payment methods.
Prior to the wedding we talked about what the vision was for the event and he was helpful in suggesting options. We provided the timeline of events, a song list and a list of introductions and Jaafar took it from there and ensured our wedding reception was rocking!
He arrived and set up on time and was ready to go. He did not require a lot of space and was easy to work with. He kept us on our timeline and made announcements and played the music right on cue. The dancing was continuous and high energy everybody had an awesome time and complimented us on how grear the DJ was! I even stole a dace with Jaafar because we were all having so much fun! I would totally recommend Fes Hat Entertainment for your event!

Ok, Jaafar was amazing!!! He is so genuinely kind and you can tell he really loves what he does and cares about the couple and guests having the best time. Fun at the Reception
We had Jaafar DJ our wedding reception & ceremony at the Ronald Reagan building in DC. He is pretty easy to work with, friendly, and professional. I made my favorite playlists for different parts of the party and on top of his own selection, our guests had song requests and he accommodated everything and we all had fun. The best part came when he played my husband's (3-year-old) nephew's favorite song and while he couldn't believe what he heard, he started jumping up and down. Hire DJ Fes Hat, you will have fun!

I wish there were more than 5 stars for Jaafar, he really went above and beyond our expectations. He was so in tune with everything and made sure everyone was having a good time. We had a very intimate wedding so for him to keep people dancing and to have my guests tell me multiple times that our wedding was “so much better and more fun than the last one they went to” was amazing to hear and in large part due to him. Jaafar Ouardi is such an amazing Dj! Sometimes Djs don’t read the room and will continue playing songs in their entirety, even though the dance floor is empty, when it was full a minute ago. Jaafar not only read the room but he was also an excellent MC. Hiring the best Dj is so important for a wedding or event, as the personality and experience of the Dj can either make or break the event. Fez Hat Entertainment totally made this party and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them. I can’t wait to work with him again!

I loved getting to work with Fes Hat Entertainment, I was the photographer for a wedding with them. The party was a TOTAL BLAST, everybody had the BEST time dancing and singing along to the songs. Exactly What We Were Looking For
My husband and I were looking for a professional, affordable DJ who wasn't going to be too cheesy and Jaafar was that AND more. He played songs that got people on our dancefloor, could tell when it was time to change, and did a great job MCing for toasts. He also accommodated some odd requests like two set ups (for our home wedding the reception was in the backyard and ceremony out front) and livestreaming the Kentucky Derby audio over his speakers. It was outside of his normal scope, and he handled it so well I knew I had nothing to worry about. He was fun, laid back and even let me sing a karaoke song, and at the end of the night we missed the last song and he set nearly everything back up so we could have one last dance as a group. He truly helped elevate our night from good to perfect. Thank you to Jaafar and I HIGHLY recommend hiring him.

As a wedding planner, my primary support is usually the DJ, to help me run the wedding very smoothly. DJ Jafar is AWESOME at ensuring a smooth and organized wedding. There were some last minute changes to the schedule, on the day of the wedding. He caught right on and made sure that the event still ran really smoothly. Not to mention that the open dance floor had everyone up from their chairs and onto the floor. I was able to finish all the other things I had to do, for the event, and felt comfortable leaving him in charge, knowing that he made sure to follow the schedule perfectly, while ensuring that all the guests were having a blast!!

I had the pleasure of working with DJ Jafaar and Fes Hat Entertainment for an Indian/Christian fusion wedding this past weekend. The bridal party absolutely loved his ability to mix in throwback hits, current favorites, and Indian music all seamlessly. Everyone stayed on the dance floor all night, and cheered for an encore after the last song played! He was so flexible with some last minute changes and requests we had to work into the timeline, and made everything work out without a hitch! Got the whole crowd dancing!

Amazing DJ!
I was the wedding planner for a recent wedding and had the pleasure of getting to work with Jaafar for the first time. From beginning to end, he was flexible, on top of every detail, and worked with me to make sure the whole day, from ceremony to reception, went smoothly for the couple. In the lead up to the wedding day, Jaafar was responsive to every email from both me and the Bride. And when it was time to party, he definitely go the crowd going! From the oldest guest to the youngest, everyone was on the dance floor and he made sure to play music that would get guests of all ages up and going! By far one of the best and easiest experiences I've ever had working with a DJ, and would highly recommend!

He definitely made sure the reception was a turn up! I literally danced until they kicked us off the floor, lol. They music had great variety and something for all ages. He even mc's some events throughout the reception which I thought was pretty cool. Very professional and highly reccomended services from DJ Jafar! He is totally worth it!

The best DJ ever!!
Our wedding was honored to have Fes Hat, and DJ Jaafar is hands down the best DJ I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been to about 20 weddings in my life and the DJ can make or break the day. We had a mix of ages, and all were enjoying themselves through the night. With a slew of our 20-something year old military servicemember friends, we knew we wanted a party and to have everyone on the dance floor as much as possible. DJ Jaafar kept the party going strong all night, was a flexible and engaging emcee, and followed my schedule to a T! I can’t recommend him highly enough, and his prices were almost TOO reasonable for this area! Another note for those who can appreciate it - Jaafar did not play a playlist. He was actively mixing all night, and read the room to keep people moving. He was layering songs and doing awesome transitions, it felt like being at a dance club! Thank you, Jaafar! You’re the best!

Kept the Party Going All Night!
I first was introduced to Fes Hat Entertainment at a friend’s wedding. Jafaar was the DJ and the music was great and no one left the dance floor. I reached out to him for my own wedding, he was booked, but DJ Rico was available. Rico did not disappoint. He was awesome and so sweet. He took all my recommendations, kept in contact with me the months leading up to the wedding, sent me song samples for my ceremony, and was all around professional from beginning to end. I had a pretty big do not play list and he stuck to it, even when he got requests. He kept the party going and my guests were on the dance floor all night. I highly recommend using Fes Hat Entertainment for your next event!

He totally understood and created the exact atmosphere we wanted - lively, fun dancing all night long. I've never seen a wedding dance floor not just packed, but packed with people happily dancing their a** off, not just dancing to be polite! Could not recommend him more.

We had DJ Jaafar as our wedding DJ a few weeks ago. I am really into music and the DJ was probably one of the things I was most nervous about, but Jaafar was amazing to work with every step of the way! He was super responsive, laid back but very professional, hard working, and attentive. Our guests loved him! He did music for our ceremony and it was absolutely perfect! He also emceed and did music for our reception and he completely knocked it out of the park! He made sure to ask us about what songs we wanted & what type of music we liked, and we shared some Spotify playlists with him ahead of time, and he took it from there. I wanted a lively reception with lots of dancing, and DJ Jaafar delivered and kept guests dancing the entire night! We have a very diverse group of friends & family and we wanted every genre from country to Top 40 to Motown to some random Ukrainian pop song that my husband and his fellow Peace Corps alumni would enjoy, and DJ Jaafar seamlessly blended all the different genres, and on-the-spot requests from guests (which he asked us ahead of time whether we wanted) and exceeded our expectations. He is very thorough and works hard to deliver what you want on your big day. If you're considering hiring him for an event, I highly recommend you do!

Jaafar was great! What else can be said for the guy and team that can set up, take down, and reposition during a power outage at a venue. Jaafar and Sean were a great team that made the entire event move. He was relatable and knew just what we were looking for and then when the power went, he adapted quickly and kept it going. From photo-booth, to ceremony mics, to music on the dance floor, he had it all. We talked about the kind of party we wanted and songs and it felt like he had been partying with us for years. He even stayed later when the event went past it's end time. We cannot say enough, but knew when we booked him compared to the other Djs in the area, we made the best decision. Jaafar is now a friend and we are looking forward to the next time we can party with him.

Jaafar was easy to work with, and he assured me as the date got closer that there would be no issues. I'm a wedding photographer in the Loudoun County, VA area and had the privilege of working alongside Jaafar and his team at a recent wedding. He was terrific! He enticed everyone on the dancefloor, rocked the room with the hottest hits of today, and kept the dancefloor packed into the wee hours of the morning. He created a full scale, nonstop party atmosphere that was electrifying all night long. He also had a fabulous photo booth for everyone to take advantage of. Additionally, the venue ran into a few unexpected snags and despite the last minute game plan changes, he was fully prepared for plan B and switched gears without blinking an eye. My brother got married last weekend and I was responsible to coordinate and help find a good entertainment. I found DJ Jaafar owner of Fes Hat Entertainment on Weddingwire. He was perfect! Music was damn good. He was so good that we had to ask him to do an after party at one of my friends big house. Jaafar thanks Man. I am going to use you again in the future. We hired DJ Jaafar from Fes Hat Entertainment for my Wedding and DJ Jaafar was absolutely detailed and professional. He was responsive and easy to work with through the whole planing process. The sound quality was perfect. We hired him for the ceremony, cocktail and reception and wish we had him after 12 but the venue had to kick us out :(( we even continued asking DJ to play one more song lol and he was very accommodating. My husband and I choose Fes hat entertainment Company for our wedding and it was an amazing choice. We had our wedding at the top of the town in Arlington. Fes Hat Entertainment was referred to us by my coworker who used them last year for her house party. We talked with Jaafar on the phone the owner of the company and a DJ, And Jaafar understood us and type of music we wanted for our big day. Before our wedding Jaafar met with us few times to plan out everything. He made sure he could pronounce all the important names that we wanted him to introduce correctly. Jaafar was very easy to get in touch with in the weeks and days leading up to our wedding. The dance floor was full at all Times with all ages and backgrounds. I just want to say thank you Jaafar for making our wedding Day unique and hope to use you in the future for other events and parties

I was a guest at a wedding where DJ'aafar was the entertainment and he was FANTASTIC. Somehow he got people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s up and on the dance floor. He took my request and looked like he was genuinely having a great time- dancing behind his equipment, interacting with guests and even holding a baby so the mom could dance! I highly recommend him for any event.

Dj Jafar was wonderful! I hired him for my brother-in-law's 60th birthday party. He was great at pumping up the energy, sensing the crowd and what direction to take the music in to keep them dancing. He was intuitive enough to take clues from crowd, even though he was given an original list of music to work with. I highly recommend him if you want your party to be a fun event!

Jaafar was a great DJ for our wedding. He's a genuinely nice guy who knows what he's doing, and will work with you to get exactly what you're looking for. Most importantly, he put on a great reception that kept people dancing the whole night!

Very affordable and flexible with pricing. Easy to work with although we asked for a wireless microphone for the outdoor ceremony and didn't get one.

Super talented DJ
Fabulous DJ. He’s super talented and I really enjoyed watching him mix and perform. He reads the room well and did a great job switching things up with the rise and fall of the dance floor. He’s very friendly and communication was excellent. I’d absolutely recommend him.

Jafar arrived on venue early and got his equipment all set up. His music selection was a mix of hiphop, 90s hits, classic pop, high energy and very danceable. One thing stood out was his ability to improvise some background music to go with events and he was able to adjust the genre based on the energy on the dance floor.

When first contacting this DJ he was nice and personable. He was a bit pushy to get me to book with him and adding extra things such as up-lighting and photo-booth. The photo-booth I ended up doing and I am glad I did, it was a crowd-pleaser. He was easy to work with and I was in constant communication with him on what I wanted. I created a timeline and song list for him as requested to make it easy for him but unfortunately that wasn’t accommodated too well.
There were several mistakes leading up to the end of the night. Songs were played longer than the end time that was indicated on the timeline that he asked for, he messed up on three dance performances playing the wrong song twice for the different dances and playing two different songs at once overlapping each other. It was a bit embarrassing. He also introduced one of the performances incorrectly (wrong order).
I made a must playlist of artists and songs and less than half were touched. When my guests requested songs to play I was told he was very dismissive and this was disappointing to us especially when he said he would take song requests when initially speaking to him.
He played the same song three times throughout the night (Just Dance). The volume of the music was up and down during the performances.
During the evening there were a lot of pauses in between without any music and it was very awkward.
After the wedding I spoke to him regarding all of this and basically he said he did everything possible he could do and that the mistakes that were made didn't seem like a problem since they were fixed after the fact. The issue was the multiple mistakes in the first place. I made it very easy for him and gave him almost all ready to play music but the order was all messed up. I understand mistakes happen however he didn't seem to acknowledge and/or care about these mishaps. Another thing that I thought was unprofessional was that he announced on the microphone at the end of the night for the guests to write him a review. I didn't like that and think he should have asked me first before doing that. Overall, his music was good and the guests enjoyed it, but the experience could have been better for me and my spouse had he followed the spreadsheet and playlist of music we asked for.

Where do I start? Bottom line is he is very unprofessional, has a real lack of respect for clients, and is a hassle to deal with for everything. Looking back I would have rather paid twice the amount for a better DJ.
-He forgot to bring important equipment, like the stands for his speakers! Then complained that he needed somewhere to put his speakers so they don't get messed up, so we had to put his speakers on some of our cocktail tables.
-Played random songs that no one has heard before, including one time when everyone was dancing, he played a metal rock song and the whole dance floor cleared.
-Didn’t MC himself, but instead outsourced it to someone else and didn’t tell me he was doing that until the day before.
-Started ceremony music way too early and made me scramble to start the ceremony since the music was playing, due to him asking a random person when he should start instead of me or the coordinator
-Wireless microphones were terrible and constantly had issues with loud static.
-Accused me of messing up his photobooth because we had an issue with the GFCI breaker tripping and turning off the power. Claims it has been "acting weird" ever since.
-At the end of the night, he had the nerve to drive his car into our soaking wet yard so he could get 5 feet closer to load his equipment… he got his car stuck in the mud and made big ruts! Then when my sister/mother told him to get his car out of our yard, he had the nerve to tell them that they should help him load his car, then he said it’s okay that he messed up our yard because some of his equipment got messed up too… (which isn’t true)
-He agreed to provide all digital copies of photobooth photos but then only provided a fraction of them. It took a lot of back and forth and arguing with him to get all of them.
