Alicia & Joy are so talented! From start to finish, they were amazing. The communication was great, and the friendly personality and knowledge about makeup made the getting-ready process stress-free and fun. They arrived early, was incredibly diligent, and made everyone feel so beautiful. Even my mother in law, who never gets her makeup done and was hesitant at first, absolutely LOVED her makeup!
Through the photos, the ceremony, and countless hours of dancing, my makeup stayed absolutely flawless all night. From the first picture to the last, it looked just as perfect and I felt so confident—proving just how worth it it was. My bridesmaids couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful they felt, and they all loved their looks just as much as I did!

FBJ was an excellent choice for me and my bridal party for wedding hair and makeup. One perk is that when the first artist understandably had to cancel, FBJ was able to find a new artist (Kayla A.), meaning I didn't need to scramble for a new contract last minute. Kayla was professional and friendly. She achieved everyone's hairstyle requests and was flexible with the one change I wanted from the trial result. I'm glad that the best I've ever looked was at my wedding.

I couldn’t have been happier with work FBJ weddings did for me, my bridesmaids, my mom, and MIL at my wedding. I personally worked with Jasmin who was amazing! She did my hair and makeup for my trial and day of. She created the exact look I was going for and made me feel so beautiful. She was willing to make any adjustments I wanted and really wanted to make sure I was happy with not only my look, but that of my entire party. She graciously provided any touchups needed to my party even if they had been done by another artist. She was wonderful and I can’t recommend her enough. The other artists we had doing services were Amanda P and Rebecca who were also amazing. We all had a great time getting ready together, they had great energy and were truly a joy to work with.

I am so beyond pleased with my experience with FBJ and my artists, Courtney and Melissa. They were responsive to my needs, helped me feel at ease and were flexible with my schedule. Perfect Makeup and Hair
I absolutely loved working with FBJ. Joy takes care of her brides and makes sure that they are ready for the wedding day. I did hair and makeup with them and I did a consultation as well. After, they offer a photo session which I decided to do. My photos turned out beautiful and I felt so welcomed and comfortable throughout the whole process. On my wedding day, the stylists were on time and professional the whole time. Before the wedding, Joy sends out a video to send to all the bridesmaids about how they should be prepared to get their hair done on the day. It was so helpful and everyone's hair and makeup was absolutely perfect.

Makeup lasted all day despite crazy humidity
The FBJ team was great to work with throughout the wedding planning process and on my wedding day. They were very flexible and easy to work with when I had to reschedule my wedding day twice. They arrived on time at 5:30 a.m. on my wedding day and were super organized and kept the flow moving. All of my bridesmaids were happy with their hair and/or makeup. Dena did my hair and makeup and I couldn't be happier. She was a joy to spend time with during the trial and the day of and she gave me exactly what I wanted with some special touches. We had a packed wedding schedule with two wedding ceremonies, a baraat, a lunch and a reception on a hot and humid day. My makeup looked fantastic throughout the day. Looking at my hair and makeup you'd hardly believe how much I was actually sweating. It really lasted all day and I felt so confident for every event. I'd definitely recommend choosing FBJ for your wedding!

FBJ Weddings was great to work with while preparing for and on our wedding day. Joy has got the process down to a science from the time you reach out for an inquiry to the day of the wedding - she’s created videos on what to expect from her team every step of the way and was always quick to answer emails and questions. As a covid bride, I had to postpone my wedding, and Joy was happy to accommodate and could not have made it easier on us.
I had a trial with my lead stylist, Courtney, and she was fantastic to work with. As someone who doesn’t wear much makeup or do much to my hair, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she was well prepared, made me feel comfortable, happily explained everything, and took the time to try out a variety of different options on things I was unfamiliar with. All of which I was so grateful for!
On the day-of, Courtney and Amanda were awesome - the bridesmaids, moms, and myself all felt and looked amazing thanks to them. Courtney was even sweet enough to run down to our pictures site when my veil fell out to help put it back in and secure it! I cannot thank the FBJ Weddings team enough!

Amanda has been so wonderful to work with from the trial to the day of hair/makeup. She clearly loves what she does and it really shows! I had the most wonderful experience working with FBJ for my wedding! Dena was my lead stylist and she is AMAZING!!! So talented! I did the hair and makeup trial, and brought one picture of a hair style and one picture of makeup that I liked, and she replicated it perfectly on the first try. Then did it perfectly again for the wedding! Her support stylist, Melissa, was also AWESOME and so patient with my bridesmaids who were a little bit dramatic. Joy was lovely and communicative, and I definitely recommend the boudoir photography experience too :)

Courtney and Brandie were both so sweet, professional, and skillful. My wedding day experience was smooth and seamless—everyone on the FBJ team is clearly a wedding pro. They provide a wedding day timeline as a Google Sheet you can share with other vendors, easy online payment, and YouTube videos with prep information you can forward to your bridal party. All my bridesmaids were happy with the services and they finished ahead of schedule. Most importantly, I felt gorgeous on my wedding day. I am not normally a makeup person and I didn’t have the clearest vision of what I wanted, but Courtney created the perfect look for me made me feel so comfortable and confident. What’s more, my hair, makeup, and birdcage veil stayed firmly in place through hours of sweating and dancing.

Hire fbj weddings
FBJ did an amazing job with myself and my bridal party's hair and makeup. We had Sonia and Maddy and both of them KILLED it! Every time I saw a bridesmaid walk past me after they were finished I was so happy because I knew I picked the right company to go with for my special day. Both of these ladies were super personable and made the morning enjoyable to have them around. I did want to give a special shoutout to Sonia- She gave me exactly what I asked for even though a lot of makeup artists in VA aren't used to doing full heavy glam and hair. My wedding was outdoors and unfortunately after I slipped my dress on, it started to downpour. There was a lot of rain and a lot of tears that could've left my makeup and hair a mess but it lasted the entire night and it looked as good as new even at the end. Thank you!!!!

Joy and the FBJ staff were incredible! I chose to do the boudoir shoot that came with the makeup and hair trial and my photos turned out GORGEOUS and sexy! I am not great at posing for photos and Joy and the other photographer made me feel very comfortable and told me exactly what to do. Dena did my hair and makeup for my wedding and it was perfect! She is so talented. I had wanted to make a change to my hair since my trial and did not know exactly what I wanted to do differently and Dena tried something and it was perfect!! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup. My bridesmaids were also all THRILLED with their hair and makeup. Joy and Dena were both a joy to work with, they both clearly love their jobs and take pride in their profession, and they really take care of their customers.

FBJ Weddings provided me the DREAM TEAM for my wedding day. Alicia, GG, Courtney, and Brandie rocked it. All of my girls kept saying how much they loved their hair and makeup. Our wedding day was probably about 100 degrees and when I say our hair and makeup didn't budge, it didn't BUDGE! I looked and felt flawless from when my hair and makeup was done until I went to bed that night.
Joy is also THE best to work with! Scheduling, questions, invoices, etc. were answered so promptly and she happy to help whenever I needed it. I also highly recommend the bridal series facials as well. They were AMAZING and I will probably keep getting facials from Joy going forward they were that great!
I cannot recommend FBJ Weddings enough for your hair, makeup, and bridal needs! THANK YOU for making me look and feel amazing on my wedding day!

Dena was my hair stylist for my 5/22/21 wedding. She did such a great job making my bridesmaids and I feel absolutely beautiful. From beginning to end FBJ and Joy were so easy to work with. Based on their availability and my selected hair style, Joy matched me up with Dena. During our trail, I had no idea if I wanted to do my hair all up or half up half down. Dena styled my hair in several different ways and took photos from every angle so I could see exactly how it would look on my big day. On the day of my wedding, I decided to go to with a completely different style and Dena just rolled with the punches, she was so great! After she was halfway done my hair, I remembered that I had brought extensions that I wanted her to put in, so she had to back track and make up time and she still did an amazing job! All my bridesmaids loved how their hair turned out too! I would 100% recommend Dena and FBJ to any and all brides!

Perfect Hair and Makeup
Deanna from FBJ did my hair and makeup, as well as some of my family members, and she did a wonderful job. She listened to what I was looking for at my trial, integrated feedback, and then hit it out of the part day-of. She was so easy to work with and the entire planning process with FBJ was super easy. They were more affordable then a lot of the other places I looked at and the service was perfect.

Exactly the team you need for your wedding
Incredible hair and make up artists that made me and my bridesmaids look amazing! Amanda did such a good job with my bridal hair and make up and made me feel so glam! Joy really knows how to run a company! Very responsive through email during the entire wedding planning process. They send you important info via email in the months and weeks leading up to your wedding that is super helpful and easy to send to the wedding party so they know what to expect. Overall a really awesome experience. Do the boudoir photo shoot!!! If not for your fiancé, for yourself. I promise it's worth it!

Autumn ASK FOR HER. Oh my gosh. I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful and bridal she made me look. I was part of a styled photoshoot and got my makeup and hair done by Autumn. She has never seen or met me before, and nailed the color match of foundation and just overall. Holy cow she blew it out of the water! she NAILED the smoky eyes on me. I'm so impressed because I have asian eyes and for her to do a smoky matte eye that made my eyes look even bigger, was so impressive. The makeup stayed on for the entire photoshoot, yet felt like I wasn't wearing heavy makeup. The hair was exactly how I want my hair for my wedding too. She was so fun to talk to and accommodating to any little tweaks. I can't recommend her enough.

You can’t go wrong with FBJWeddings! Joy is very organized and her system makes it easier to manage all of the administration, so her artists only have to be concerned with how you look. My planner recommended FBJ weddings, which is always good to be recommended by a wedding planner. Dena, my HMUA, was great! I did my trial the Thursday before the ceremony. Dena listened to my comments, and made adjustments on the wedding day. I received so many compliments on my hair and make-up. I highly recommend FBJ weddings.

Just what you need to feel beautiful on your big day!
My girls and I were so impressed with FBJ. Maddie my bridesmaids, my mom and I's makeup for my wedding. We all were blown away with how beautiful our makeup was! Maddie was professional, clean/safe (in regards to COVID specifically) and a good time in the bridal suite! She was punctual and ahead to our timeline which is always a good thing! I highly recommend FBJ for any bride!

Dena is a true gem!
From the bridal trial, to spray tanning, to the wedding day, the entire FBJ team was impressive, professional, and so fun to work with! Dena is incredibly skilled and such a sweet soul. She made our getting ready time so much fun, got us done with hair and makeup on time, and took my long hair/romantic braid dreams and ran with them! She absolutely nailed it. Our hair and make up couldn’t have been more perfect and didn’t budge all night! Dena took the time to make sure we were happy with everything before we headed out - and the sweet bridal kit was the best touch. Can’t recommend Dena and the FBJ team enough!

Me and all my bridesmaids felt beautiful!!!
From the moment I inquired to use FBJ to do makeup for me and my bridesmaids to the day after my wedding- Joy was in close contact and so responsive. Joy was so organized and made sure everything was lined up for our day to go smoothly. She was so sweet and even sent a text/email before and after my wedding with well wishes. Giselle from FBJ did our makeup and did AMAZING. She did 8 girls- which is no easy task AND got everyone done in time while doing an incredible job. She did exactly what everyone asked for and even touched everyone up before leaving. She was so sweet and professional! We all did airbrush and it lasted through all the tears that were shed and all the sweat from the dance floor— even for the girls that got theirs done starting at 8am. I am so happy we chose them and could not chosen a better makeup artist to make us all feel like beauty queens!

Flawless perfection!
FBJ Weddings is PHENOMENAL! From the the very first moment I was completely blown away! My main point of contact was Joy who was super responsive, extremely organized, professional, and oh so personable. She is literally your concierge throughout the whole process and made everything go seamlessly. Joy's team of artists are all incredibly talented too! I did a hair and makeup trial with Autumn early on and to say I was impressed with the results is an understatement. She was everything I could have asked for in a hair and makeup artist and MORE! As a person who is very particular about what I put on my skin, she truly listened by using products that would not cause me to breakout, and her level of detail is spot on. Even after having to postpone our May wedding to August 2020 due to the pandemic, Joy made sure her artists could still accommodate on our new date which literally was like the icing on the cake. We had Autumn and Jasmine on our wedding day and I cannot say enough great things! All of our makeup looked flawless and super natural.
And don't even get me started on our hair --PERFECTION! We absolutely loved how it turned out and even with humidity and some rain, it held up the entire night. Thank you for making us look and feel gorgeous! Highly recommend!!!!

Felt like a glam queen
FBJ was wonderful to work with start to finish. Every single person I interacted with, from Joy to the people who work in the office to the fantastic hair and makeup team was amazing, sweet, and professional. I used them for hair and makeup for me, my mom, and my four bridesmaids, and their rate was comparable to others around town. Our two artists showed up at my hotel early and did a fantastic job of getting through everything quickly and not getting distracted by my very loud friends and family who were filtering in and out of the room. All of our makeup stayed put all night. I also had what felt like a giant comb that I was so nervous would fall out, but it ended up taking me 20 minutes to get all of the bobby pins out that night, it was so secure even with me running around, jumping, and dancing.
I can't wait to see the pictures, but I can tell you right now, if you want to feel and look like a princess, go with FBJ!

Talented Team and Gorgeous Looks
I could have not asked for a better hair and makeup team! My Bridal party has still been raving about their looks (both hair and makeup). One Bridesmaid even claims it was the best she has ever looked at any wedding :). Joy was my main point of contact and was very easy to work with. She is extremely responsive via email and did a great job of keeping me informed of what I needed to be doing when (when to schedule makeup/hair trials, when I needed to confirm bridal hair and makeup, etc.). Amanda and Courtney were on-site on my wedding day, Amanda being my artist. Amanda nailed my hair and makeup look at the trial. I had an idea of what I wanted for hair, but she guided me when it came to makeup (she is extremely talented). They even have hairpieces (clips, pins, etc.) on-site that you can try with during your trial and purchase. Amanda and Courtney were great to spend the day with; my bridal party and I enjoyed having them while we were getting ready. 10/10 - I definitely recommend FBJ Weddings.

Spotless salon with truly talented staff
I loved working with Brandie!! We just clicked during my consult and she went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% comfortable with my wedding look. If I said I didn’t like something, she was eager to try something else until I loved it. Not only is she extremely creative and intuitive when it comes to hair and makeup, she is SKILLED! Once we finished on my wedding day, she had me bounce around and my hair was not going ANYWHERE (perfect!). As someone who literally never wears makeup, Brandie had me feeling like a gorgeous forest spirit for my wedding. I left feeling confident and ready to be my best self. Joy (the owner) is also extremely kind and had even offered to let my maid of honor and I get dressed at their salon (since my venue didn’t have a bridal suite). Their new location in Ashland is adorable and feels fresh and clean. Definitely recommend using this team!

Wonderful Wedding Prep & Day-Of Experience
Preparing for my wedding with FBJ was relaxing and fun! I had a makeup and hair consult with Megan six weeks before my wedding, and I looked and felt beautiful! Brandie performed all my waxing services, and she was quick and almost painless, which is saying a lot! Alicia colored my hair, and she did such a good job. She colored it exactly the way I asked, and helped me pick out a good shampoo for my hair. Every time I was there, Joy was cheerful and helpful, and made me feel welcome. On my wedding day, Megan did such a wonderful job with our hair and makeup, and everyone looked fabulous! At the last minute, the mom of the flower girl wanted to get her hair done, and Joy and Megan accommodated that last-minute request. We were so grateful! What a wonderful experience! I highly recommend FBJ for all your wedding beauty needs.

Happy Naturally Curly Bride!
I did a lot of research trying to find a hair stylist who could use my natural curls to create my wedding day updo. When I found FBJ, I saw that they were about to do a training with Instagram curly girl Glam Belle, and I immediately had confidence in them for my wedding hair - it meant a lot to me that they were going the extra mile to learn about natural curls! Alicia was our stylist (my four bridesmaids and me), and she was so professional and sweet. I told her that I wanted to look like a "woodland fairy" (lol), and I wanted pieces from my florals to be naturally placed in a purposefully unkempt way. I showed her a few pictures, and my hair was more beautiful than I could have imagined. She worked quickly (but with so much talent!) and was so kind with all of my bridesmaids. I would recommend her to anyone, especially curly girls!

You can't go wrong with FBJ!
Angi was absolutely phenomenal! I can’t sing her praises enough. I was a little worried since not much of her work is featured on the FBJ Instagram, but I shouldn’t have been concerned at all. My trial at their beautiful, natural light-filled studio was great. She asked me what I liked about each part of the inspiration pictures I brought, focusing in on the small details. We settled on my makeup look quickly, and it was beautiful. It took a couple of tries to get my hair how I wanted it, but Angi was determined to get it exactly right; she communicated with me throughout, asking lots of questions and wanting feedback. She was definitely committed to hearing a firm and enthusiastic “yes” from me about each part of my look.
On the wedding day, Angi showed up early to set up, and she was ready right on time to start my bridesmaid’s hair and makeup. She did an amazing job on my girls and my mother, again asking for specific things they liked about the looks they chose. We got a bit behind schedule, but Angi kept her cool – if she felt flustered by the clock, it was not at all apparent.
After my trial, I emailed a few comments and changes I wanted to make for my hair/makeup. Angi was totally on board and executed the changes flawlessly. I felt so beautiful when she was finished, and I received SO many compliments about my hair and makeup specifically.
Angi is so sweet, calm, professional, and skilled. She was easy to talk to, and she made me feel so comfortable, especial. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their hair and makeup artist!

I am so grateful my wedding planner recommended I reach out to Faces by Joy, I wasn't disappointed! From the start, Joy was prompt and professional and very organized with the timelines and invoice reminders, something this busy bride appreciated! She was quick to match me to an artist that excelled at the style I wanted for my special day.
Dena did my hair/make up trial, she was so calm and easy to work with. She was able to manage my thick hair and nail my vision! The studio dog was an added bonus to the trial!
Dena and Jennifer were the make up and hair artist team on the big day for myself and seven bridesmaids. I recently booked FBJ for my wedding a few weeks ago and I cannot speak highly enough of this company! I'm picky when it comes to choosing vendors (especially someone who is going to be spending hours with me on my wedding day). Faith was the hair and make up artist for both me and my bridesmaids. Besides doing a fantastic job, she was equally professional, relaxed, and accommodating. She listens and truly captures what you're asking for. She fit right in with all of the girls, making for an easy and fun environment for all of us getting ready. Also, it ended up being >100 degrees the day of my wedding and my hair/make up stayed throughout the night. I was very impressed! Joy (the owner) was on top it from day one. She is very easy to communicate with and is highly organized, supplying you with a timeline and reminders of payments, etc well in advance. It's obvious that she loves this industry and taking care of all her brides. She's constantly expanding her business and service options.
I also had a boudoir photo shoot a few months prior to the wedding after my hair/makeup trial. If you are on the fence about this.. don't be! It was so much fun, honestly I wish I could do it again. Joy and Anita are amazing! They make the whole process so easy, you don't have to worry about a thing and the pictures turned out perfectly. And of course, my groom loved the surprise. FBJ did a great job!
FBJ went above and beyond to make me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world on my wedding day! I wanted my hair in a low bun but it was challenging to obtain the look I envisioned because my hair was so long and thick. FBJ went ABOVE AND BEYOND and did some research as to what type of bun they could do so that I didn't have to settle on having my hair half-up/half-down; I was able to come back for another trial to make sure I would be happy on the day of the wedding with my hair. I really appreciated that they cared and wanted me to be happy! They did such an amazing job with makeup as well, and all my bridesmaids felt beautiful! I would definitely recommend FBJ for your wedding hair and makeup!

I was referred to FBJ just a few weeks before my wedding after the stylist I had initially booked didn't work out. I was so relieved to find FBJ and extremely happy with my experience. Joy was responsive, professional and encouraging throughout the planning process. She truly listened to understand my needs and matched me with a terrific stylist, Alicia, who was also incredibly professional and collaborative. During my trial, I appreciated that Alicia played with two or three hairstyles until we landed on one that I loved. The day of my wedding, she was friendly and efficient doing hair and makeup for me, my MOH, mom and sister. All of us were happy with our looks and felt beautiful yet natural.

Such a great experience working with Joy and Autumn! They were able to execute on what I envisioned perfectly, even better than I could have imagined! I wanted a sleek, classic look - which isn't necessarily easy to accomplish when you've got a lot of very heavy hair, but they made it happen! Even better, Autumn was able to create an awesome make-up look, despite me having no idea what I wanted, except for "something simple, that isn't plain"
The day of the wedding was made that much more fun with Autumn and Maddie there! My group of girls are pretty casual, which sometimes means difficult to reign in - but they handled it like champs, and were finished ahead of schedule!
Cannot wait for the next time I have an excuse to get my hair and makeup professionally done, I won't hesitate to reach out to FBJ!

I used FBJ weddings for our June wedding at The Market at Grelen. They were SO amazing to work with. FBJ were organized, flexible, and quick with communication. The FBJ team beyond exceeded my expectations. I booked them after hearing about them through our venue, and after reading a few comments online. Joy was such a pleasure to work with, making the process sooo easy yet detailed. We had a timeline set up prior to the wedding, of the order of hair/makeup for each of the bridesmaids. Having a larger wedding party - you don't want to wake up at the crack of dawn to start hair and make up. They were truly accommodating to bring in enough stylists to get the job done within the allocated time frame I had put together with the venue. Not to mention the FBJ girls are SO fun, fabulous, and kind. They made my day so special and I will never forget them. I highly recommend!!!!!!!!

I LOVED working with FBJ Studios. From my first consultation, Joy and her team made me feel like I was part of their family. I had my makeup done by Faith, and (I think) Amber did hair and makeup for some of my bridesmaid and mother-in-law. Everyone was so happy with how their looks turned out. FBJ styled for my wedding and they were absolutely fantastic. Joy is incredibly friendly, organized, and super quick to answer all questions. They did wedding hair and makeup for 10 women and did a great job on everyone. They were professional, efficient, and great about hearing what you wanted and making it happen for you. We had a large party and had to be ready by a certain time, the stylists were fantastic about getting everyone done in time but also making sure everyone looked great and was happy with their look.
Autumn did my bridal hair and I was totally blown away with it. She did an incredible job and it looked much better than I ever could have imagined. Courtney did my makeup and it was beautiful – she worked closely with me to find out exactly what I wanted but also offered great advice for what would work best for me. Overall I was thrilled with how I was styled for my wedding day.
What I was particularly impressed with was Joy’s “Say Yes” policy. I had a consultation, and I was happy with almost everything, but she noticed I wasn’t super excited about one aspect of it. She brought me back in for a consultation to ensure that I loved every aspect of my bridal styling – I LOVED what they did for me on my second consultation and am so glad that Joy brought me back in. Overall, FBJ did a fantastic job with my wedding!

I originally signed a contract with another MUA for my wedding, but after Alicia did my hair and makeup for my boudoir photo shoot at Studio Romance (also FBJ) I knew that I needed to use FBJ instead! Joy was so helpful throughout the entire process, and was able to help me book Alicia and Amanda 2 months before my wedding. Alicia and Amanda came to my parents house to do our hair and makeup, showed up early to set up, and got right to work! They did an incredible job on my and my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup. Alicia really listened to what I wanted during my boudoir shoot and my trial to make sure that I was happy with my hair and makeup. Joy is the kindest person and always made me feel so welcome when I came into the studio. My only regret is not booking them sooner! Also, if anyone is on the fence about doing a boudoir shoot with Studio Romance/ FBJ, do it!! I was so nervous about how my photos would turn out, but with Alicia doing my hair and makeup, Joy taking the photos, and Anita telling me how to pose, the photos turned out even better than I had hoped!! I can not say enough about Joy and FBJ Weddings. Amazing, fantastic, friendly and fun! As a stressed out bride with different ideas and worries. Joy put me at ease, figured out a style for my hair and makeup that put all my ideas together and gave me all the "feels" and she just made the experience fun and relaxed!!! I worked with Joy before for a boudoir photo shoot and she did not disappoint then!! My now husband loved those pictures I gave to him for his birthday, and he said then that this would be the person to photograph our marriage! I am so glad she did! On the day of the we had a huge storm coming, which I was worried about. I was able to quickly get a hold of Joy to change the schedule around. She was so flexible and worked her magic to get me ready for the first look before the storm. Because of her we got our highly anticipated pictures on a cliff off the Blue Ridge Parkway. First off I just want to say how sweet of a person Joy is (though I never got to meet her in person) she was so kind, understanding, and flexible! Her team was incredible and made every single girl look beautiful the day of and had our hair last all day through rain, dancing, and sweating! My bump never fell! Since I was in high school I've had an exact picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and they nailed it! Everyone else sent pictures in and they did such a good job copying them and making them look fabulous. Three girls got make up done and it was beautiful, natural, and made them look even more stunning. The team was nice and talkative and friendly, I would highly recommend FBJ to anyone!

Working with FBJ was a highlight of my wedding! I booked them after reading reviews and exchanging a few emails, so I would say I was going in a bit blind. They proved themselves worthy of every positive review on any website -- the entire team is worthy of so much praise! Here's what I loved most: (i) organization -- Joy is ORGANIZED, and is organized early. We had our wedding timeline months in advance; (ii) professionalism -- we had 3 stylists for my wedding, and all of them were well qualified and very good at what they do. Whenever one of the team members wasn't sure, Alicia stepped in and took over. It was very comforting to have someone "in charge" just in case; and (iii) kindness -- there's nothing better on your wedding day than people treating you special. All 3 of the stylists made my wedding party feel and look spectacular! ALSO, do yourself a favor and take advantage of the boudoir photo shoot! They do incredible work! You will only be disappointed if you don't partake!

Joy and her team were AMAZING to work with! After much research, I came across FBJ Weddings and was blown away by their work. I even recognized a classmate from college in one of their photos! Naturally, I reached out to get her opinion on working with them and she raved about her experience. I had 11 bridesmaids, 3 bridesmaids and a 2 pm church ceremony we had to be ready by. As you can imagine, this was a tall order to fill! Joy stepped right in offering her experience on perfectly scheduling the day to accommodate everyone under such tight time constraints. Not only did the FBJ team have all 15 of us done early and ahead of schedule, but somehow my 11 (somewhat picky) bridesmaids were extremely pleased with their hair and makeup for the day. Our day started at 8 am and lasted until the wee hours of the night and we couldn't believe how long the makeup lasted. The true MVP was Amber, who was my stylist. I was one of those indecisive brides that couldn't make up her mind. Amber stepped right in and helped me determine the perfect hairstyle and makeup. We did a trial in advance, which really helped pinpoint what I wanted. Amber was patient, truly listened to what I had in mind and flawlessly executed. She was also fun and genuinely excited to be apart of the big day. I was so impressed by the professionalism, timeliness and overall skill of each of the stylist. I was so happy with FBJ for hair and makeup! They were far more reasonably priced than all the other hair & makeup vendors I considered and so flexible helping me plan from out of state--even coming in to the studio to do my trial run on a day they were supposed to be closed! They came to the venue to do hair & makeup for my bridesmaids and I, they were prompt, and everything looked amazing! The airbrush makeup was really cool and they don't charge extra for it. They do offer some add-on services like tattoo covering and false eyelashes--I just wish you could use a credit card to pay for those on the spot rather than needing cash.

I could not be happier that I chose to work with Studio FBJ Weddings for my wedding hair and makeup. They focus on wedding hair as their main job, so they are GOOD at what they do! Top reasons that I loved working with these ladies:
1) They were efficient! They did beautiful updos in 30min flat, which I did not think was possible (especially for someone who has lots of thick hair, like me!). We finished even earlier than planned, which led to us being ahead of schedule on my wedding day. A dream!
2) They understood the look that I wanted, which was classy, simple, and natural. They did not go overboard with the products, which I really appreciated
3) They traveled to my house in Charlottesville, so my bridesmaids and I could have a hang out & get ready day before the wedding
4) The hair and makeup look lasted for my ENTIRE wedding - through humidity, sweat, and dancing… I looked completely put together, even at the end of my big night
5) They were organized in the planning process. No joke, they sent me a Google Doc (this is speaking my language!) to coordinate the schedule of the day, such as which bridesmaid will have her hair done by which stylist at which time. There was lots of communication, and it was very clear and prompt.
6) The cost was reasonable compared to other hair stylists. It was also easy to pay online in advance of the wedding day, which I appreciate!
My bridesmaids were happy with their hair, and many said it was their best-ever updo. I have already recommended this studio to two other brides-to-be! They are a definite win!

Joy with so fast at responding and helping me get everything I needed for my services. RheaClare was absolutely amazing! She did 7 on my girls hair and make up as well as my bridal make up. My overall experience was so pleasant with Studio FBJ! Joy was so easy to coordinate with and always responded so quickly whenever I had any questions. My hair and makeup artist Rhea Clare was absolutely amazing! She was so kind, talented and worked quickly so that we had plenty of time to relax before we left for the wedding. Everyone in my bridal party looked stunning!

Joy was so accessible and flexible with my last minute changes, even adding a second hair/makeup artist so getting ready wouldn't be so rushed. Alicia and Heidi were punctual and made everyone look and feel beautiful. What was most impressive was their ability to apply makeup on more mature skin with it looking flawless. My grandma liked hers so much, she slept in it to have the next day. My mom and other grandma never wear makeup but both felt beautiful; my mom AND dad couldn't stop talking about how impressed they were! Alicia did exactly what I envisioned for myself with both hair and makeup and I couldn't have been more pleased! Their pricing was also reasonable. I would highly recommend this company...these ladies were incredible!

Studio FBJ is absolutely amazing!! Rhea Claire did an incredible job on my hair & make up for my wedding. She was great to work with & did exactly what I wanted. Studio FBJ also did my Bridal portraits & wedding photos! They truly captured everything!! Joy is an amazing photographer. I highly recommend her! We will cherish our wedding photos forever. They really go above & beyond in making sure they capture every little detail. We have some of the best candid pictures of my 3 daughters & son. Best decision I ever made was choosing Studio FBJ for my wedding!!!!! Love them!!!!!!!

RheaClare and Alicia did a really great job! We were all so happy with how our hair and makeup turned out. They were also very punctual, and Studio FBJ was extremely helpful and professional throughout every stage of the process.

Everything came out so beautifully! My hair and makeup were perfect and lasted throughout the night! Best of all, my makeup felt light and not caked on or overdone. Plus she was so accommodating in helping me with my indecisiveness on my hair - I just couldn't make up my mind! Everything was perfect from first correspondence to walking out the door to my wedding!

Studio FBJ was amazing to work with for my wedding at Cousiac Manor! Tia did my hair and makeup on-site and delivered EXACTLY what I wanted, and she was so patient with me when I was talking through my ideas with her. All of the ladies we interacted with at Studio FBJ were so sweet, flexible, professional, and organized. Tia and Amanda arrived at the venue on time and helped my bridesmaids, Mom, and me look great! I know my bridesmaids loved their looks because they could NOT stop taking selfies when they were all glammed up (thanks for packing extra lashes for everyone!!). Thank you so much Studio FBJ Weddings for making my girls and me look amazing on my wedding day!

As a group of 13 ladies including myself, I am so pleased with my experience! Everyone looked gorgeous. The ladies doing our hair and makeup not only did a phenomenal job but they were so accommodating to my whole wedding party as well as additional guests. I can not say enough good things about Studio FBJ. They stayed ahead of schedule the whole day and played a big part in our day running smoothly and on time.

RheaClare was great!! She came to us did hair and make up. My hair and make up was perfect. Everyone in the bridal party looked great too. I would definitely use her again!! You can't go wrong.
