We cannot recommend Father Jerry enough. He really felt like a guiding friend helping us throughout this entire process. He has a gift for making a union so incredibly special, and we will always remember our ceremony as one of the most special moments of our lives - his role playing a significant part of why. He really does tailor it to accommodate whatever style you choose as a couple whether you want laughter, tradition, emotional, or a little bit of it all…he will take the time to make it right for each couple. Father Jerry blew our guests away. Of course, we all go to plenty of weddings, but they all said how different this one felt. Emily and Rowdy, you came all the way from Texas to be married here in Santa Barbara at the beautiful Santa Barbara County Courthouse Mural Room. You even stayed at the great little Eagle Inn. After your wedding all of you took a one hour sunset cruise off the coast of SB, enjoying everything from a different vantage point. He was amazing. The wedding was at the beach and he show up with his turquoise sunglasses. The ceremony was exceptional. He was so sweet and nice. Everybody loved him.! Father Jerry was so wonderful! He made sure to get to know us well, ask all the right questions beforehand to prepare, and he was so knowledgeable about the whole marriage license process. Someone very wise said that "the celebration of the wedding gets forgotten but that the ceremony is always remembered" (Father Jerry) and those words ring so true. From the moment I spoke with him on the phone, his professionalism, passion for others, and desire to get to personally know us was so obvious, I knew immediately he was going to be the officiant at our wedding. We're an older couple who found love again after both being windowed for a few years. We wanted someone who knew our story, and celebrated our new love with us. Father Jerry was literally the highlight of our wedding. Fun, good spirited, yet deeply caring. Father Bellamy was the perfect officiant for our wedding at El Presidio Chapel in Santa Barbara. From our very first phone call, we knew he was the right person to lead our ceremony. He is a kind and genuine soul who was thoughtful, supportive, and easy to work with every step of the way.
One of the things we appreciated most was how he kept reminding us not to worry. On the big day, that advice really paid off. He guided us through the entire ceremony with calm confidence, even giving us subtle cues during the service that kept everything running smoothly without drawing attention. His presence helped us stay grounded and present in the moment.
While our ceremony leaned more religious, Father Bellamy made it feel welcoming for everyone. Our guests came from different faith backgrounds, and some had no religious affiliation at all, yet everyone felt included. The ceremony was full of love, laughter, and heartfelt moments. People were crying with joy and laughing out loud, completely engaged from beginning to end. At the reception, so many guests came up to tell us how wonderful he was.
If you are looking for an officiant who is compassionate, witty, warm, and truly exceptional, we cannot recommend Father Bellamy highly enough. He helped make our wedding day unforgettable. Father Bellamy was professional, funny, flexible, spiritual/religious and created the perfect ceremony for our casual - double wedding - on the lake. My son and his fiance were an addition to our original plan and Father Bellamy included them into the ceremony perfectly. Every one of our guests commented on how lovely, unique and calm our wedding was... and we definitely contribute a lot of that to Father Bellamy - his planning, style, delivery and overall personality. To preface our experience with Father Jerry, my wife and I do not consider ourselves as religious. We were searching for a priest to officiate our wedding ceremony primarily to humor our families. We also wanted to find someone that could sprinkle in some Spanish throughout the ceremony to indulge my wife’s Spanish-speaking relatives. It did not take long for us to discover Father Jerry on the internet, as you probably have noticed yourself based on the stellar reviews.
In our consultation with Father Jerry, he spieled his philosophies on love, marriage, religion, Catholicism, and it became very clear to us that we had picked the right person. We will not spoil his spiel, but his thoughts on what constitutes a “religious” person and what constitutes a “holy” person resonated with us – especially as a not-so-religious couple. We also appreciated his playful, yet diligent demeanor.
The ceremony itself was everything we had wanted, and it was executed perfectly by Father Jerry. We incorporated many activities into the ceremony, most of which were proposed by Father Jerry. These activities helped keep our guests engaged and some were even able to participate, which was very much appreciated. Father Jerry spoke with grace, humility, humor, and all of his words were genuine. It very much felt like we were being married by an old friend.
We sincerely recommend Father Jerry’s services to all couples.

Santa Barbara Wedding
Couldn’t recommend Father Jerry enough. He was perfect for our big day. My husband and I were both baptized (myself Romanian Orthodox and my husband Catholic) but are not practicing and he was the perfect balance for us. Took every consideration and request of ours on board including my father’s Romanian Orthodox traditions. It was so beautiful, funny, loving and joyful. Where do we even start. From the first call we had with him, it was clear he was the right choice. He thoroughly explained his outline and approach to the ceremony and was also attentive to our needs and special requests.
He does a great job incorporating religious aspects into a civil ceremony, if that's what you are looking for. He is also great at keeping your guests engaged and makes them feel apart of the ceremony while keeping it light and fun. We got a lot of lovely feedback from our guests about Father Jerry. He was very impressive!

Ceremony to remember forever!
Father Jerry performed a beautiful ceremony for my husband and I! We booked Father Jerry a whole year+ in advance because we knew that he would be booked up! Father Jerry was quick to respond always. He made the process in creating a beautiful ceremony for us so simple and efficient. We had so compliments from our guests about our ceremony and the way cannot recommend him enough. We are all catholic, and we were not getting married in a church but it was important to us to still have some catholic symbols represented during our ceremony. Our family loved it, and we loved it! Yes, Father Jerry's awesome! :) My husband and I are Catholic, however, a ceremony outside a Catholic church or chapel to be solemnized by a priest is not allowed. When I found Father Jerry on WeddingWire, I'm already 100% sure that we will request him to officiate our wedding as having him will be the closest to a church wedding that we can get. Fortunately for us, he's free on our wedding date. It's been great from the beginning since my first email to him -- he's very responsive and organized; very flexible on how we wanted to customize our ceremony to incorporate some traditional stuff. Our first meeting was fun and we immediately felt very comfortable with him. We practically didn't have to do much as he already has all things covered, we just needed to fill in the details like names of the persons involved in the ceremony. It seemed like we had a free spiritual counseling, too! Our family and friends came from everywhere -- Sydney, Dubai, and different US states -- they all enjoyed the ceremony as it felt very lighthearted yet so solemn. And it didn't end on our wedding day! Father Jerry is so nice enough to send an email reminder after a week to check on our Marriage Certificate and get a copy. Believe me, after the wedding, you tend to forget everything!

My husband and I were coming from out of state (my husband being a Santa Monica native) and were able to coordinate a warm, welcoming, and loving ceremony, a large part due to Father Jerry.
Father Jerry made each person in our families feel welcomed, heard, and supported.
He formatted our wedding ceremony to our requests.
He added comedy and levity when we had a few hiccups with the ceremony (including flies!)

Father Bellamy was amazing. I considered myself so lucky having found him.
I can’t even express how pleased I am with every aspect of Father Bellamy. He far surpassed our expectations in every way, delivering a perfectly customized ceremony and executing it flawlessly! Father Jerry Bellamy was warm, funny, professional, prompt and gave us lots of personal attention. He certainly guide us and walk us through with all the details of the ceremony…for examples, where the groom should be standing, when and where I should start walking down the aisles, when I hand my bouquet and so many things…he coordinated everything for us and talk to the violinist even. Having Fr Bellamy officiate the wedding at the beautiful SF City Hall gave me a feeling of almost having a “church like” wedding but outside the church. He is affordable and he was able to work with us to choose and personalize a ceremony that we wanted. He’s given us many choices and details from beginning to end of the ceremony.
We can’t express enough how amazing he is. We were nervous about our big day but Fr Bellamy made us feel so comfortable and made it very easy to get through. He is very professional and very kind. We have no regrets at all and recommend him to everyone! Thank you again Fr Jerry Bellamy for officiating and blessing our ceremony. You were wonderful!

Father Jerry was everything we been asking to complement our beautiful wedding day, we wanted to have a intimate and spiritual ceremony with that little bit touch of religion, feels God’s presence more close to us; Then Father Jerry came like an Angel from heaven to help us to have the most unforgettable memories. From the beginning he was clear with everything, responsible and professional, he also let us include our foot washing ceremony, give us a couple of suggestions in how we can perform better, also were able to perform in English and Spanish, which made my guests very happy be able to understand the meaning of his beautiful message, & I was there thinking how happy I was and how honored our wedding was having Father Jerry officiating our big day!!

Beautiful & Emotive
Father Jerry delivered such a wonderful ceremony, his message to us and to our families was beautiful and will be forever remembered. It meant so much to us and our loved ones. Loving, Funny and meaningful all at once.
Reminded us and reiterated what this is truly all about, beyond flowers, music and food, our union first and foremost. It was important to us to have God's message of love and friendship (with a bilingual touch ;) ) conveyed on this day especially and always. We will always refer back to it throughout our lives. Perfection

So where should I start. Let me just get to the point. Father Bellamy is amazing. He took the time to listen to what was important to my wife and myself. Delivered a Perfect Interfaith Ceremony in a Historic Chapel
My husband and I really wanted a ceremony that didn't feel like just a formality. We both had religious upbringings, but our families come from different faiths. We hoped that Father Bellamy could create a spiritual tone without being specific enough to risk stepping on anyone's personal beliefs. He did exactly that and so much more!
We first met with him in Santa Barbara, where we discussed what our ceremony would look and feel like. After the meeting, he emailed us an outline that we later used to run our rehearsal. The outline was so comprehensive that we managed to do everything without a coordinator, and we actually felt confident about it (which is saying a lot because I'm a big worrywart).
The ceremony took place at the Wee Kirk O' the Heather, a reproduction of a 14th-century Scottish church, on the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA. Father Bellamy perfectly suited the Old World charm of the chapel, dressed in his traditional vestments.
Father Bellamy said all the right things. He has such a fun, quirky personality that puts everyone at ease, but he also masterfully created an environment in which we all felt spiritually in tune with each other and with God. After the ceremony, several of our guests remarked that the ceremony really touched them and that they felt like they were participating instead of just spectating. The Best Officiant Ever!
We loved having Father Jerry officiate our wedding! He was such a joy to work with and really made sure our ceremony was true to who we are. He eased our fears and answered all of our questions throughout the ceremony planning. We planned the ceremony together and it was so much fun, we pretty much started crying then and there! Father Jerry was a big hit with our family and friends. Half of our family speaks Spanish and it was great that he could do part of the ceremony in Spanish! Many of our other vendors also noted how great he was and said he was fantastic. Father Jerry Bellamy is Amazing!!!!
We hired Father Jerry Bellamy for our summer wedding on June 4 2022 at Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose CA. He really made our ceremony special and really incorporated all the main elements that we wanted in our ceremony. From the beginning he was very responsive and really professional. We enjoyed our meeting down in Santa Barbra were he broke down our ceremony by section and planned it to the second. Father Jerry Bellamy was an angel sent from above when we started to plan our interfaith wedding ceremony. As a practicing Catholic marrying into a Jewish family, I was feeling extremely anxious about who would marry us in a way that honored both of our family’s traditions and cultures without offending anyone, or making people feel left out. Then we found Father Jerry. Everything suddenly became very clear. He had all the answers I was looking for and actually had a concrete game plan. He has designed beautiful interfaith ceremonies a million times, and all of a sudden, my worries turned into excitement and I knew in my heart we were in good hands.
He was such a calming presence and made my husband and I feel so at ease through the whole journey to the altar. I was so happy to find out he knew so much about my Catholic Filipino background and exactly how to integrate it with Jewish wedding traditions. I very clearly remember my shock when he said, “Do you know how long I’ve been doing Filipino/Jewish weddings?? Decades!” There are very few people on the planet who can say that and actually execute a beautiful ceremony combining very different cultures. We knew we’d found our person.
A few months before the wedding, he sat down with us for hours in-person to plan every last detail of the ceremony so that we felt 110% comfortable and very excited. He really was the answer to all of my prayers, and come wedding day, everyone immediately understood why we chose him. His words about love were incredibly moving and he was hilarious at the same time.

Willing to go the extra...hundreds of miles!
Originally, we wanted an elopement. When my father decided to host a small group for our wedding, it changed things just a little. But Father Jerry was up for an adventure. He traveled to Sequoia to celebrate our wedding with us. He was easy to work with, funny, and helped us really to express our commitment to one another. We received so many compliments on the service! Everyone asked where I found Father Jerry, a man willing to trek out in the cold of the Sequoia National Forest in November. I happily told them. I recommend him to anyone. He communicates well, gets to the heart of the matter, and still is willing and able to have fun with the ceremony. We loved the time we spent with him and know that he could make anyone's wedding as memorable, heartfelt, and delightful as ours. Father Jerry is the best!
We love Father Jerry! From the very first phone call, we knew Father Jerry was a perfect fit for us and our ceremony. We loved his humor, kindness, values, and flexibility. My husband's family is from Spain and since Father Jerry speaks Spanish, he was able to do our ceremony in both English and Spanish. We loved how we could include my husband's family, even from a far distance. They tuned in via Zoom, all the way from Spain. That was very important to us. He was very easy to work with. Our initial consultation was by phone since we were from out-of-town. We liked how he gave us different options to pay, including Venmo or Zelle. When planning over the phone, he was able to do a run-through rehearsal of what to expect day-of. He gave us great suggestions of what to include in our ceremony, like the Rose Ceremony for Mothers, low-pressure letters written by hand the night before to read aloud to each other, and the freedom to choose passages read by each of our mothers during the ceremony. We loved these special touches and everyone in attendance did too. What we also really loved was how he added a moment in the middle of our ceremony for us to just pause and look around and take the setting and everything around us in. Our guests and photographers couldn't stop talking about how wonderful and funny he was. We are so happy we found him and that he was available on our special day. My husband and I were referred to Father Jerry through The Vintage Rose wedding venue where our ceremony and reception were held at.
He was super communicative and very pleasant to talk to. We met in person to start planning our ceremony and he took into account all the aspects we wanted to be part of our ceremony and also gave great suggestions on how we could make our ceremony smoother/incorporate additional items we might like.
I had no idea where to start with a ceremony, but Father Jerry has us covered and made the process so easy! My family loved him and his humor was great.

Best Officiant You'll Ever Have
Father Jerry made our ceremony amazing. All the guests loved him and the message he gave on our wedding day. From beginning to end, working with Father Jerry was so easy. We didn't know what we wanted for our ceremony at first, but after doing our meeting he was able to help us with ideas as well as formulate a whole ceremony plan detailing every moment. He mails in everything after the ceremony so you don't have to think about anything else on your wedding day. It's only been 10 days since we've been married, but we just received our certificates in the mail already! He is prompt and knows what he's doing. You can trust this man to make your wedding dream come into reality. I recommend him to anyone getting married. One of the staff at the Golden Gate Park Shakespeare Garden, told me that your decorations and flowers were the most beautiful he had ever seen. Great in every way
Father Bellamy helped in so many ways. Our original wedding plan had to be modified due to Covid and he was so helpful and full of great ideas. When we finally got to have our wedding he did a great job. He is so full of life, and really understands love.Father Jerry Bellamy's reply:

Having Father Jerry officiate our ceremony was one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding. We met with him beforehand to plan the ceremony and he made it as easy and stress-free as possible. He is also a great, light-hearted, and funny person that is awesome to spend time with. Father Jerry is the absolute best! He helped us plan the ceremony from beginning to ends, with loads of laughs in between. He made sure both of our religious traditions were included. Our ceremony was memorable, thanks to him. He gave us a moment to look out to our guest during the ceremony and what we saw will forever be in our hearts. Do not hesitate on booking Fr Jerry if he is available because this amazing man is in demand! Fr Jerry was not available for our original wedding date but once we changed it we made sure to reach out to him again and luckily for us he was available. We had already booked another officiant but we decided to forego our deposit because that’s how much we wanted Fr Jerry to marry us! A few months before the wedding we met with him for a few hours to go over the ceremony and so he could learn a little about us. He made great suggestions since he has so much experience but was also very open to wedding traditions that we valued. He was also always available by phone or email. Once the big day arrived, he delivered a warm, funny, and beautiful ceremony. His words were thoughtful, intentional and loving. Many guests asked if we had known him for a long time. We requested and loved that he made it as Catholic as possible, given that it was an outdoor wedding. We’re so happy and fortunate that Fr Jerry was such an important part of our big day. -

Father Jerry was so helpful. He walked us through the entire ceremonial process. He offered suggestions. He was responsive and he spoke Spanish for our Mother. I was taking photos when he arrived. I did not have my phone on me and he met my parents without instruction. He handled all of the marriage license signing with both my mothers. Father Jerry went above and beyond to make our ceremony everything we wanted it to be. From the initial planning call to meeting in person to the actual ceremony - everything was excellent. He is so kind and really makes an effort to get to know you individually and as a couple. He was able to incorporate love, religion, storytelling and even some comedy to make our ceremony memorable for us and all of our guests.
