  Talented photographer, wonderful human.

  Mel is a wonderful human and absolutely talented photographer. We booked Mel originally for our December 2020 wedding, which eventually turned into a December 2021 wedding due to the pandemic. Mel handled the change with ease and was so easy to work with.
  
  Our engagement photos were on what I can only describe as the coldest, windiest day in 2021, but she made it look like we were warm as can be and just happy to be there. On our wedding day, she kept all the formal photos of the wedding party and family moving like a well-oiled machine, and all our guests who saw her and her second shooter throughout the night commented on how happy they looked to be capturing photos of our day.
  
  Mel sent us some awesome sneak peek photos while we were on our minimoon, and we can't wait to get the rest of the album! We know that any prints we buy are going to look awesome. I highly recommend hiring Mel for your wedding or other photographer needs!

  Melissa is nothing short of an AMAZING photographer!!!

  I followed Melissa's work for a while when after seeing some of her elopements at the Savage River Lodge, I knew she was the photographer I wanted to capture our special day. Let me just say I could not be HAPPIER with the quality and number of beautiful photos she took to capture our small ceremony and she was so easy going and pleasant to work with. I would VERY highly recommend her to anyone!!

  All around wonderful

  Melissa was so amazing it's hard to put into words! Anyone who doesn't feel comfortable taking photos or thinks they look awkward in photos (like myself and my husband), don't worry!!! She makes you feel SO comfortable and helps guide you on what to do (without looking super posed). I may be biased, but our wedding/engagement photos are some of the best photos I've ever seen.

  Wedding 10.26.19

  We love Melissa! I first fell in love with her work through Instagram. Once I saw her there I stalked her website and knew I had to reach out! Melissa was so easy to work with, professional and always responded in a timely manner. Melissa went above and beyond to capture all of the photos that we wanted and made everything go so smoothly. We did a first look and she made that so special. We also have a big confusing family and she was able to get all of the pictures for us with no problem. Not once did we ever feel rushed or pushed. Melissa posted a few sneak peeks on Instagram which are absolutely stunning and breathtaking and I am so in love with our photos already! I cannot wait to get our whole gallery and relive our day all over again! I cannot say enough good things about Melissa and would recommend Farfalla photography in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a photographer! I also hope to one day do a boudoir session with Melissa as a surprise to my husband. Her boudoir shots are amazing as well!

  Melissa is the absolute best!

  We used Farfalla for our engagement/ wedding photos back in February '19 and October! One of the best things that she does is include an engagement session in the wedding packages. I love that the engagement session gives you a chance to comfortable with your photographer and also see just how awesome her style is going to be for your wedding photos. Our engagement session was on a cold windy day and Melissa totally rocked by making sure we were all still having fun! She has such a bubbly personality it feels like you've known her forever which makes you so relaxed on the big day! She also pays attention to the little details that leave a lasting impact (our USB with our photos we is stunning!). Overall, I 100% reccomend Farfalla Photography to everyone looking for a photographer that makes you feel beautiful and relaxed!

  Amazing photographer!

  We had the opportunity to book with farfalla during one of the sales she had, which is rare in the world of wedding planning! She was very flexible when scheduling our engagement session and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.   The best photographer for a great price

  Melissa was amazing! She was so personable, and made us feel so at ease, especially for people who hate being in front of the camera. She fit right in with all of our jokes when we did our engagement pictures, so we knew she would bring some great energy to our wedding day. Melissa was responsive to my emails in the meantime in regards to wedding timeline concerns, etc. Her and Karle fit right in at our wedding and captured all the moments we wanted. Not just formal pictures, but all the crazy moments that we laugh at looking back. Pricing was great and her turnaround time was as promised. Not a single regret!

She was patient with our energetic puppy and allowed plenty of time for a "costume change." We climbed rocks at Great Falls and got some truly magical images. She sent all of our photos within a few days.
  
  At our wedding, Melissa and her assistant, Karle, we super fun and set a great mood for the wedding party. They grabbed some items for detail shots while we finished getting ready and then took some fun photos of everyone. We did a first look and finished the portraits prior to the ceremony, then some intimate photos of us as a newly married couple. All night, Melissa and Karle were in the action and very accommodating to take some impromtu photos of groups of guests. Melissa posted about a dozen preview shots the day after our wedding, which we loved.
  
  We highly, highly recommend them to all couples out there. We can't wait to see the rest of our photos soon and to have more occasions to book photo sessions with her :)

  My wife and i just recently had a small wedding at Savage River Lodge and Farfalla Photography was one of the recommended photographers and to put it simply, it was the best decision my wife and I could have made! (other than getting married of course)
  
  Melissa was absolutely wonderful to work with, very patient and go with the flow before, during and after the ceremony. The bride was running a tad behind (Shocker) but Melissa didn't miss a beat and came to take care of the before pictures with me and start family portraits, then ran back to the cabin to take care of bridal photos. Come ceremony time, Melissa didn't miss a single photo opportunity throughout, and we never even noticed her snapping away.
  
  After the ceremony it was time to rally the gang together for the newly melded family photos and again Melissa was professional and easy to work through the whole thing. Then off to the woods we went for the bride and groom, Melissa allowed us to just be us and did not push us to pose, stop or stand in those really awkward photographer poses! She suggested the perfect locations and backdrops for every photo and this really shined through when the picture sets were emailed to us and we got to stop googling over our teaser set!

We were so blessed to have her photograph our engagement pictures and wedding pictures. Our family still brags about how beautiful they turned out. On the days leading up to our wedding, I was a nervous wreck! Getting all the vendors coordinated can be a bit tricky. However, as soon as I spoke with Melissa, all my worries were gone. She assured me she would get the videographer and his assistant on a schedule so all vendors could capture those unique moments that mean the most. Melissa showed up on our wedding day full of energy and positivity. She was able to capture many pictures before the ceremony and after. She came in, took charge (in a kind manner!) and ran the show. She was also a lot of fun! Her quirky personality made getting our pictures so much fun! Melissa had a great eye for detail and she came up with some great pictures that I would’ve never thought of myself. In addition, she captured all the pics that i wanted her to! Every.single.one.of.them! The turnaround for getting the pictures is also wonderful! Melissa was not just a photographer there to do the work, she took charge, blended with the family and was like a friend! It felt as though my best friend was capturing the pictures. We searched for photographers and we hired Melissa on the spot because she truly made me feel as though she strongly stands behind her work. I was on the spot with that! Her work speaks for itself! She is reliable, worked well with other vendors, responsive (within an hour or less) and flexible. If you have the opportunity to hire Melissa, do it! My advice is do it before someone else does and you miss out on her creativity!   Melissa was wonderful! Despite the crazy weather my wedding day had, Melissa captured the best and most cherished moments. I was amazed at how the photos turned out. Melissa is personable and definitely has an eye for the details that make the day special.

  Melissa was wonderful! Despite the crazy weather my wedding day had, Melissa captured the best and most cherished moments. I was amazed at how the photos turned out. Melissa is personable and definitely has an eye for the details that make the day special.

  Melissa is incredible! She made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera and captured everything we wanted and more from our wedding. The quality and quantity of the pictures are such an amazing deal for the price! She was very personable and fast with her communications. Not only were our wedding pictures magical, but our engagement photos were fantastic as well. Melissa does an amazing job catching the right moments at the right time while catching all the right lighting and angles. Plus, the pricing is very reasonable and well worth it!!! Our package even included a second photographer at the wedding who also did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend Farfalla Photography for your special event.
