Ashley Black of Fantail Photography is a talented photographer, accommodating, and delightful to work with. I’m recommending her to everyone I know getting married.
To quote my husband who is a videographer, “she’s like a ninja!” She manages to be everywhere she needs to be for a perfect shot without being seen. In a video of our ceremony, we see the top of her head by the front row of guests for a moment. Then she ducks out of sight and soon pops up at the opposite end of the aisle snapping more photos. I assume she pulled a duck and run move; it was fast.
Ashley and her assistant Joe were so much fun to work with but also professional. They’re organized, energetic, love to dance, and showed up ready to work and make our day special.
My father-in-law commented that compared to other wedding photographers, they were very organized and efficient. I was worried we had too many family portraits but we finished them rather quickly. She’s also great with kids. Ashley had our two-year-old nephew (and everyone) attentive and smiling in each portrait shot.
The photos we have so far are amazing. Per contract she posted a preview on Facebook the night of our wedding and emailed me more the next day. I can’t wait to see all the rest.
I encourage you to contact Ashley if you like Fantail’s style; even if you just like one photo. She’s very responsive, open to your ideas, and offers flexible packages.

Ashley is the most incredible person to work with. We loved her from the moment we met her and would happily get a drink with her after our wedding as well. From our first conversation, we knew she was the right fit for us, as she's so warm and inviting, but also very funny and down to earth. We enjoyed every moment with her as she knew how to get the best out of us and took the most incredible photos. I cannot sing her praises enough and can't imagine having anyone else with us on our big day.

Exceeded Our Expectations!!
We could not be more thrilled with our experience working with Ashley! From start to finish, she was an absolute dream - friendly, funny, creative, and so incredibly kind. She made us feel completely at ease while taking photos around the historic courthouse and charming streets of downtown West Chester.
Ashley brought my vision to life in a way that exceeded every expectation. My husband and I had a private, civil ceremony, just the two of us, at the Chester County Courthouse on July 11th. I wanted a photographer who could capture the intimate moments during and after the ceremony. Ashley was able to do so, and then some! The sneak peeks were ready the same day we got married (yes, SAME DAY!), and we had our full gallery the very next day! Every shot was stunning, and the edits we received just a few weeks later were absolutely breathtaking. Her turnaround time was unreal, and the quality was beyond anything I imagined.
She was also very flexible with requests we had during and after the session, extremely responsive, and so easy to work with. Her energy added so much joy and ease to our wedding day. It truly felt like we had a friend behind the camera who was cheering us on the whole time.
We will definitely be hiring Ashley again for future special events. If you’re looking for a talented photographer who goes above and beyond, look no further. She’s the one!

In love with our photos
Ashley went above and beyond for us, she met with us beforehand and again about a month before the wedding, she crawled around on the ground to get photo angles, pinned my boutonniere, showed us how to cut our cake and helped bustle my wife’s dress. She referenced our Pinterest board and was open to our ideas, and when it came to the day of it her and Joe pulled from the board as well as some natural shots. She remembered the names of our friends and family, and was efficient and creative with all of our photos. Her 2nd Joe also a joy to work with. If we were worried about a moment not being captured, we would look up and one of them would be there. They really understood our Gothic vision. They were our best hype people. We felt so comfortable in front of the camera with them behind it.
Ashely had sneak peek preview shots to us by 9 AM the next day and we were absolutely blown away. We cannot wait to get the full album back. We highly recommend her for whatever you need photographed.

Absolutely the best!
Ashley made the entire experience fun and stress-free for us. From meeting us to discuss what we were looking for, to the wedding day and finally the album of amazing photos, she was supportive and enthusiastic all the way! Ashley and Joe captured all the perfect moments (and some funny imperfect ones) in a set of photos which will bring back the good memories of that day. Ashley also went above-and-beyond to help us several times at the wedding with corsage pinning, train bustling and other things we were too flustered to do right!

Working with Ashley and her second photographer, Joe, was a fantastic experience. From the 1st meeting with Ashley, we knew she was the perfect fit and she continued to exceed our expectations for our engagement and wedding photos. Phenomenal is the only word I can think of to describe Ashley and her talent!
She is the easiest person to work with so responsive and personable. We knew from our first phone call with her that we would get along great.
Now her talent is another level. When we saw her photos online, we obviously loved them which is why we chose her to be our photographer. Then when we received our photos, just WOW! We were just blown away! They are gorgeous! Ashley and her second shooter Joe captured every moment beautifully! As everyone says , our wedding day went by so fast. I’m so glad we have these incredible photos to help us relive the day.

Super talented and likeable—-could you ask for more?!
I could not have asked for a better wedding photographer. Words can't even express how wonderful Ashley and Joe were! My mom was a bit difficult with the wedding to say the least. Ashley changed our schedule last minute to please my mom and make sure I was not stressed. She captured our engagement photos and our wedding photos. She was nonintrusive, but really captured the feeling of the wedding and some beautiful candids. I haven't even gotten all the pictures back yet (just the sneak peek) and I'm head over heels IN LOVE with every single one. I usually HATE photos of myself, but she made me feel BEAUTIFUL. She is fun to work with, made me feel comfortable, and really just made the whole thing run so smoothly. She KNOWS what she is doing and captured some GORGEOUS shots. She even did a first touch with us which was just ADORABLE and her idea because we didn't want to do a first look. All other photographers gave us SO much trouble about that and how we weren't going to be able to get all our photos done in time. Ashley swept us right up, took all the photos after the wedding, and even had us back for the end of our cocktail hour. I could not have picked a better photographer! Always a creative spirit, traveling the world honed my passion for my craft and founding a company based around it cemented it. To be able to support myself and my incredible, fierce daughter with it still astounds me daily. In whatever free time I can scrounge, I am a major geek. I like to play video games or Dungeons and Dragons, read comics and fantasy novels, and go to conventions. My kid is even named after a flower from the Lord of the Rings!

RUN, don't walk to book Ashley! Both my husband and I adore her and my family loves her. Everyone said she was a bada** pixie running around taking photos from all sorts of crazy angles and they are spot on.
We cannot say enough good things about Ashley. She has made us both exceptionally comfortable working with her and as my now husband puts it, he's "quite the shy guy and Ashley even get [me] to open up." We laughed hysterically on our wedding day because of Ashley.
I've worked with dozens, if not hundreds of vendors in my professional life, and Ashley stands apart. What I am trying to say is that I would recommend Ashley not only as a bride-to-be but also as an events professional.
Ashley is beyond detail oriented. Here is one of my favorite Ashley moments - just as she was about to take a photo, she yelled out "wait!" and comes running up to us. She picks up the door mat neither of us realized we were standing on to move it out of the way (of course putting it back after she was done taking the photos). As silly as it sounds, I guarantee had she not moved the mat, I would have noticed it in the picture once a copy was made available!
Ashley has taken time to help us find vendors she's worked with and to connect us with them. When our original wedding venue didn't work out, Ashley was there with a detailed list of recommendations, including pros/cons of each location on her list.
Her contract includes protections for us as a client, which is not always the case and something a client might have to ask to put in or purchase insurance for.
When booking Ashley for our big day, she went over each of her packages and explained how there is even flexibility within those packages. For example, we might want to use part of our engagement session to take family photos as a surprise for my mom, whose always wanted professional family shots. I can guarantee this is something most photographers will not offer or work with their clients on - only further setting Ashley apart.
It goes without saying that Ashley is a special, one of a kind vendor. Our closeness with her shines through in our photos and in all photos Ashley takes, as we're not the only ones Ashley has developed strong ties to! Her photos are unique, detailed, and capture so many intimate moments throughout the day. We tell everyone and anyone we know that Ashley saved our wedding day by bringing us to our wedding venue and was one of the most important parts of our big day!
Ashley is a big part of the reason we had the best wedding ever - she is a delight to work with and goes above & beyond the call of duty.

Truly Magical!
We were absolutely thrilled with our decision to use Fantail Photography for our wedding! Prior to the wedding day, Ashley met with us to discuss our vision, helped us create a timeline, and walked through the venue with us to select photo locations. On the day of our event, she arrived on time, communicated with us, and helped guide us through our timeline and shot list. Her enthusiasm for her work was palpable, and her energy helped to keep the wedding party focused and excited throughout the day. Not to mention- THE PHOTOS. Amazing experience!
We could not be happier with our experience with Fantail Photography. We worked with Ashley for our March 5th 2022 wedding (rescheduled from 2021). From our first meeting through the planning process, Ashley was friendly, responsive and professional. We genuinely enjoyed spending time with her and we appreciated her honest guidance and thoughtful support to determine our photography logistics as planning came together. The day of our wedding went so smoothly, Ashley and her assistant Joe had our shot list and plan so organized, we were able to take way more pictures than we anticipated. Both myself and my husband thought the wedding photo process would feel awkward but Ashley and Joe made us feel comfortable and we truly enjoyed our time taking photos before our ceremony. They provided lots of guidance and made us feel like superstar models. The photos we have seen so far are spectacular and we are so excited to see more to come. Wedding Photographer 12/11/21
Ashley was absolutely amazing to work with. I haven’t gotten all my pictures back yet, but I am in love with my sneak peaks and I can’t wait to get the rest back! Before the wedding she answered every single one of my questions or annoying texts. Equally as important to the pictures is how the day went, and I cannot imagine it without Ashley. She made my day go smoothly. There were multiple times where I was stressing out (whether it be crazy family members or running behind schedule) and she completely calmed me down and made it all go so smoothly. She was great at telling people what to do when they weren’t listening without being rude about it. She wore this cute dress and I had a few people tell me how nice it was that she dressed up for the wedding as not all photographers do! All my bridesmaids told me after pictures that they loved my photographer. Also, I dreaded taking all the pictures and she made them fun and quick! I didn’t feel like they dragged on or anything like that. 100% recommend Fantail Photography!

Just Amazing and Fun!
The first time I met Ashley I knew instantly she would be our photographer for our wedding! I even had another appointment with a different photographer and canceled with them. Ashley was amazing through everything and helped me out from the start to timeline and answering any questions I had through planning everything! Like a lot of other couples we had to postpone two different times before we could have our big day due to COVID! But Ashley made it easy to work through finding new dates and just being there! She made us feel comfortable in our engagement shoot and gave us the best day with our wedding pictures! We had so much fun and even changed plans with how hot it was and it rained on our day! Everything just moved seamlessly with her and Joe on our big day! I can’t express enough how much fun we had with them there and being our photographers! Live happily ever after with these photos!
Fantail
Ashley went above and beyond for our wedding photos! The process of working with her leading up to and throughout the day was seamless. I left every conversation with her (and there were many as we postponed the wedding a year due to Covid) feeling confident I was working with the right person to capture our day and having one less thing to worry about.
Ashley and her teammate Joe jumped right in upon arrival and rolled with any small delays or hiccups that came up in the day. Ashley not only directed photos, but acted in many ways as the day of coordinator we NEEDED, overseeing videography, coordinating with venue staff, and wrangling a giant bridal party of 14 plus our families. We were married in a Catholic church and Ashley and Joe captured beautiful photos with great respect and awareness of the church’s guidelines.
Ashley and Joe also took great care to keep the shots I wanted in mind. As a PR professional that has worked many events and red carpets with many photographers I was seriously impressed by the perfect balance they struck of tending to the shot list, using their expertise and creativity to suggest better ideas and capturing candid moments.
I am encouraging everyone I know to get married just so they can work with Fantail Photography and live happily ever after with these photos!

Can't Recommend Enough!
We originally signed with a different photographer when we first got engaged (one that was a preferred vendor for our first venue (which had to cancel on us)), but we absolutely hated our experience with the engagement photos. I was in a bit of a panic after that, afraid that we wouldn't be able to find a good photographer in time at a price point we could afford.
Cue in Ashley and Fantail. What a blessing that she still had our wedding date open, especially since it was a May wedding. She was so wonderful and helpful throughout the process. We went over a game plan for the wedding day and it went sooo smoothly. I was so impressed with how effective we ended up being with our time! Ashley and her second, Joe, were the PERFECT team for our perfect day! Even my MOH couldn't stop raving about how great they were.

Miracle Workers
Ashley at Fantail Photography was the one and only photographer we met with for our wedding. We were supposed to meet in person in March of 2020, but then all of the shut downs started happening, so we met over FaceTime. Even through the screen, her infectious personality radiated through to us, and right away we felt comfortable and connected with Ashley. Of course we hired her right away and WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID. Besides becoming husband and wife, my husband and I both say that Ashley and Joe were the second best part of our wedding day! We had quite a LARGE bridal party (10 bridesmaids/10 groomsmen) and Ashley worked her magic and wrangled us all into some stunning photos, keeping up with the humor the whole time, even adding to it! Another major component to our day was the WIND! It was one of the windiest days I ever experienced, but Ashley was able to work right along with it and use it to her advantage. And barely 12 hours later, we had a gigantic sneak peak of about 25 photos available on social media. Basically, she is a miracle worker and you definitely need to hire her! No, but seriously, hire Fantail Photography! I promise you won't regret it!

Such a fun team of photographers to work with!
Our wedding was initially planned for 3/28/20 but was postponed to 3/27/21 due to the pandemic. At the beginning of our planning process, we thought we had already decided on a photographer until we met Ashley and Joe at a wedding expo. As soon as we finished talking with them, we knew we had found the perfect photographers for our wedding day! Ashely went above and beyond to help us map out all of our wedding photo locations. She even drove all the way to Cape May, NJ a year prior to our original date to do a walk through and assess the lighting and where the best shots could be taken. We had such a fun time and felt so comfortable with her. She has such a positive attitude and was genuinely excited to celebrate our wedding with us. She put us at ease when we had to postpone our wedding by a year and encouraged us throughout the re-planning process. On our wedding day, Ashley and Joe were so incredible to work with, our bridal party members all said that they want them to shoot their weddings now! They listened to all of our suggestions for specific shots we had imagined and were so flexible with us. Their energy added so much to our wedding day and we could feel that they were there celebrating along with us, not just lurking behind the scenes. Not to mention how AMAZING our photos turned out! Ashley and Joe truly captured the ethereal/beachy vibe we were going for during the day, and the elegant/vintage feel we were going for at the reception. I also love that Fantail does a wedding preview of a few great photos the day after the wedding. Most people have to wait weeks (or months) to see their wedding photos, but we were able to see some of our beautiful pictures the next day. If you're looking for photographers with great personalities who truly love what they do (and are super fun to have around on your wedding day), definitely book Fantail!

I absolutely loved working with Ashley. She is such a fun person and she did an AMAZING job! The photos are stunning and I am by no means a photogenic person! We booked her for our wedding about 1.5 years ahead of time. She has been professional every step of the way. I cannot recommend her enough.

Pandemic wedding and beyond!
Ashley and Joe of Fantail Photography have been amazing to work with. We met them at a bridal expo. We got the package that included engagement photos, and we were so happy with our decision. The photos perfectly captured us and our relationship. Ashley has been amazing to work with during this pandemic. We had to reschedule our big wedding, but decided to do a small ceremony to be married legally, in the event this pandemic should hit our family directly. Ashley came and did our photos for our small wedding ceremony (just us and our parents) while minding safe social distancing. She went above and beyond to help us make sure our day was just as special as we originally planned, including helping us find a private location to have our small ceremony.
We can’t wait for our rescheduled big day with Ashley and Joe there with us!

Ashley is amazing to work with. We got the package with the added photographer and Joe was just as amazing as Ashley. Great duo and they work extremely well together. Our wedding was just before the craziness of COVID started and even with all that has been going on the photos came out amazing. Just know that when you hire Ashley as your photographer for your wedding she will become your life long photographer. Fantail photography photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding and we couldn't be happier. We were so lucky to have met Ashley at a wedding expo and instantly fell in love with her work. She has a way of capturing bold beautiful colors in every photo she takes. Working with Ashley was an amazing experience! Her fun personality is contagious! Fantail made my wedding so fun!
Ashely is the most wonderful person ever! Hands down, the greatest! For the wedding, she was incredible. I know I'm going to start gushing, but I really feel strongly about how great she is. My wedding wouldn't have been as fun if I had picked someone else.
So I knew I wanted to hire her from the start, but my husband Justin hadn't met her before. So I emailed her and we set up a time to grab some coffee and talk. We were there for around 30 mins and Justin was sold. Ashley has great energy and is such a fun person. She was a great resource during the planning too. If I had a general question or wasn't sure about something (sometimes not even related to photography), I could email her and she would get back to me quickly.
We did an engagement session, which was great because she got to learn how we are. After we got the pictures back, I told her which ones were our favorites, which she used to get the sense of how we wanted our wedding day to be captured, so the wedding day was flawless.
So after planning this wedding ourselves with planning help from no one, I was really excited on the wedding day to turn to Ashley and say "you are in charge now" and she was fantastic. She and Joe were there right on time, ready to go. Everyone wants to talk to you and you want to talk to everyone, so it was so nice to have someone else in charge, and Ashley was so great because she wasn't bossy or commanding. She had her same fun attitude and kept the day moving with photography and worked off the photo list I gave her (I'm fairly certain this is standard for photographers, but if its not, another plus for Ashley!). Getting the bridal party pictures was seriously so fun, we really were laughing the whole time!
I can't wait to have another event so I can hire Fantail Photography again!

All around amazing experience
My wedding this past April was the 4th wedding that the Bevenour family has used Ashley and Joe as photographers. The single fact that we came back to use them again and again should be recommendation enough, but I will continue to write this because I like talking about them.
They find a way to capture the big moments of each event, without interrupting or getting in the way of the experience. Not only do they not get in the way, but they blend into the joy and merriment of the occasion, to the point where they are just part of the family. Also, if and when you decide to use them, you will frequently see Ashley blending into the scenery, crawling across the floor or climbing trees to get the perfect shot. My wife and I just received our wedding pictures and they are beyond great. Every time we look at them, it is like reliving that day all over again.
The best and last thing I will say about the duo of Ashley and Joe is that they carry this infectious kind of energy that some how can make you more excited for your own wedding day. Even though I am sure that they shoot for hundreds of weddings each year, they come to each one with a tenacity and a love for what they do. I will be pushing any and all of my future friends and family to use them for their events. Don't make the mistake of choosing any other photographer.

Five Stars for Fantail
I do not even know where to begin. Finding wedding vendors can be an internet chore. Off the bat, Ashley offered to drive to my home to meet my fiance and I and get to know us and our style on a personal level. Needless to say this meeting went amazingg. Ashley has a contagious energy and her upbeat personality is the type of person i want to be around- not just on my wedding day! We talked and personalized our wedding package. We met a few months before the big day to tour the space for ideal pix and get our vision finalized. She was flexible with meeting for payments and always worked with our schedule while remaining a true professional. We ironed out the wedding day details and before i knew it- the day arrived. Ashley showed up to my getting ready location beaming and her attitude rubbed off to the rest of us. She made sure to get all my getting ready shots with my mom, bridesmaids, and most importantly my first look with my dad. At the church ceremony, we barely noticed she and joe- quiet like church mice! She got all my dream shots and more as we did formal pictures after church and at the reception location. We have THE most fun reception pictures that truly captured the essence of the evening- dance, dance, dance! She got some great action shots of all our guests and our DJ. We received THIRTY!!!!!!!!! Pictures the next day as a preview and that’s when we knew we made the right choice. WE. LOVED. THEM. ALLLLL!!! Then when our final picture link arrived I felt like I won the lottery. I literally teared up looking at them and reliving the day. Ashley & Joe captured raw emotion of us, our families and friends. So much happiness and fun. We LOVE OUR PICTURES. Deciding which ones to print for our walls is proving to be quite the challenge! WE CANNOT WAIT FOR THE ALBUM! Looking forward to the next step with Ashley and obviously sending her info to all our engaged friends. Ashley knows her stuff, she is friendly and professional, and all in all someone you want to be around. We cannot recommend you book with Fantail Photography enough! (Shouting from the rooftop!) Phenomenal photos!
We are so incredibly happy that Ashley and Joe were our wedding photographers - they did an amazing job with our (very!) rainy wedding day. We were familiar with Ashley's wonderful work, but meeting her sold us on her awesome personality. We talked to quite a few photographers, but after meeting Ashley we were all in. She takes beautiful photos, and her price point is extremely competitive. Throughout the process, Ashley was professional, responsive, and all around fun to work with. Amazing Photographer with Wedding Night Sneak Peek!
We knew from our very first meeting that Ashley was the photographer for us! That thought was confirmed at our engagement session. She put us at ease and it was easy to joke through what could be awkward moments/poses with someone you just met.
Ashley and Joe were wonderful at our wedding! It was our first time meeting Joe, but it was an instant comfort just as it had been with Ashley. They were professional but still had fun and rolled with the day as we had 11 children in our bridal party! They got incredible shots that brought tears to my eyes. On top of all of that, we received a sneak peek of our wedding photos on our wedding night! I mean, seriously...who does that??? I would recommend them to anyone and look forward to capturing all of our future milestones with Fantail Photography.

Durham Hill Farm wedding
There aren't enough words to describe what a joy it was to work with Ashley and Joe over the past year, and how thrilled we are to have found them. When we originally 'met' with Ashley over Skype, it was instantly clear that she was the only possible photographer for us. Her warmth, passion, enthusiasm, kindness, and professionalism were qualities that made it obvious that we had to work with her. Add to that tons of common interests and we felt like we had made a new friend. Throughout the process, Ashley was incredibly communicative -- even during her busiest time periods, and even when we still had plenty of time before the wedding. She was flexible, generous with her time and consideration, and answered every question we could think to ask. We were planning the wedding from across the country, and she set time aside to come visit our venue with us the one week we were able to see it, despite that week being in June -- a notoriously busy wedding month. As for the wedding itself -- Ashley was the most organized and efficient photographer we have ever seen at any wedding. She got photos of our remarkably extended family done quickly so they could go to cocktail hour, and she got dozens of beautifully staged portraits in so fast that we didn't have to get pulled away from the festivities. The photographs are the most lovely we've ever seen -- Ashley and Joe are incredible artists. Multiple people, friends and family, have commented that the photos are the best they've ever seen, and have also commented on how much fun it was to work with Ashley and Joe all night. We really felt like we were celebrating with them as friends -- who also happened to capture the joy we felt all night. We are so grateful we got to work with them both, and hope to get to do so again in the future. They made it easy, fun, and completely stress-free. They went far beyond what we expected, and we can't recommend them enough.

Amazing Person - Amazing Photos
Where to begin? Ashley ended up being the only photographer we met with in our planning process. We knew we wanted to work with her as soon as we met her. Aside from her assistant Joe, she does all the shooting and editing herself, so there aren’t too many hands all over the work or a bunch of different people to deal with. This made the whole experience so much more personal. Her prices are extremely competitive, especially for everything you get. Planning with her is a breeze. She’s very open to your ideas, while offering her own expertise. She was a blast to shoot with both at our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. She’s is very good at getting and keeping everyone’s attention and being commanding without being rude. Everyone loved working with her and Joe. We absolutely love both our engagement photos and wedding photos! We look forward to working with her in the future as wedding are not all she does. She is the beginning and end of the list of people we would recommend as a photographer for anything!

Ashley was the only photographer we met with because we knew as soon as we met her that she would be great to work with, and we were right! Her rates are also extremely competitive. This review is long overdue, but Ashley at Fantail was absolutely amazing. From the moment we met with her the first time, up through our wedding day, she took the time to get to know us, what we wanted, what our preferences were, and much more. By the time we got to our wedding day, it was like one of our best friends was capturing everything for us.
Ashley's attention to detail, ability to keep us loose, and overall great personality were and always will be a fond memory of our wedding day.
Following our wedding, Ashley remained responsive and got us our photos - which turned out great - in the time she promised. We love our photos so much we go back and scan the album quite often.
Fantail's pricing is very reasonable, and you get top notch quality and service at a great value.

I came across Fantail Photography through the Knot and fell in love with all of the outdoor pictures. My wedding was April 14, 2018 so I reached out to Ashley about 6 months before and I am so glad I did! Ashley was organized and professional throughout the entire process and her layback personality helped me stay relaxed and definitely better enjoy the day! She was always quick to respond to my emails regarding day of plans/changes and even random ‘hey, I love this picture can we do that too’ texts. She gave us guidance as “newbes” in the world of photography but was also open to hearing our thoughts and ideas which was pretty cool! Ashley’s love for what she does and the people she works with (not just me but my bridal party, family and guests) really shows in her work and I could not be happier with the results!! As if the overall awesomeness that is Ashley was not enough, she also provides a sneak peek of several photos later that day and gets all of the remaining photos back to you quick (I got mine right at the one month anniversary of my wedding day)!! I reached out to Ashley for my March 2018 wedding and received a quick response wanting to meet my fiancé and I to discuss details. As soon as I met Ashley I knew I wanted her as the photographer for my wedding. She is extremely friendly and listens to your needs/wants. Ashley shot my engagement pictures, my best friend's wedding, and my own wedding, so my husband ad I had a great opportunity to get to know her. She was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. She was flexible and helped guide us in what we needed. Her pricing was competitive and I feel we got wonderful service and pictures for a price that we couldn't find elsewhere. Joe was our second photographer for our wedding and the two of them work so well together, we hardly even noticed them most of the night. She puts you at ease makes you feel comfortable while she's shooting. Anyone who has been photographed in a wedding before knows it can be awkward to get in front of a camera, but Ashley made it light and fun. I can't wait to get our pictures back, but our preview was posted the night of the wedding and so far everything looks amazing. I would highly recommend Ashley and Joe for any photography needs.

I can't say enough about Ashley & Joe at Fantail. Our pictures from our engagement session & wedding on 10/28/17 were absolutely beautiful.
I told Ashley I was 100% late to work that morning she sent them over because I couldn't stop looking at them. They captured the day so perfectly from start to finish. She saw my vision, and had my " shot list," and made sure nothing was missed. We received so many compliments from our friends & family about how fantastic they both were that day.
Not only was their work amazing, but they are fantastic people too. From the moment I met Ashley I clicked with her. My husband is a little quieter, and Ashley made him comfortable & I'm a little high strung, and she totally "got me." She was relaxed and fun, but also could get control of the room when needed. She worked fast & efficiently - I loved that.

We are so very happy that we chose Ashley to photograph our Oct 7th wedding at Camden County Boathouse. We immediately felt so comfortably with Ashley. They are very professional, but also you can tell how much they love their work and have fun! The turnaround time to get a sample of the photos was maybe 6 hours, and the full set came out about a month later. They are all fantastic shots, loved by all!! Thanks Ashley!

My husband and I are so thrilled that we chose Ashley as our wedding photographer! As soon as we met Ashley at the consultation, we were immediately comfortable with her. Ashley has a fun and friendly personality and we felt she would fit in perfectly to our wedding and make it more like working with one of our friends. She never seemed annoyed by my never-ending stream of questions and ideas, instead offering complimentary suggestions and insight to assist with the timeline and make sure everything went smoothly while getting the shots and moments that were most important to us on our wedding day! Ashley was also really helpful with helping us chose the package that would get us the most value for what we wanted without trying to upsell to us. Her partner, Joe, was also fantastic and having a second shooter made all the difference. I highly recommend, without reservations, Ashley and Fantail Photography! Ashley is spectacular at her job. My husband and I used Fantail Photography for our engagement and wedding photographs. I am thrilled with the pictures for both. Ashley is fantastic at capturing the moment without being noticed. She is also bubbly and friendly, which makes taking staged pictures more relaxing and comfortable.

There are not enough stars in the world to rate Fantail Photography--I cannot recommend them highly enough! The owner, Ashley, is not only an incredibly talented artist, she also is able to flawlessly walk the line between professional and goofy, with an enthusiastic but relaxed demeanor that immediately put everyone at ease. When my husband and I first spoke with her, we immediately clicked. She understood exactly what we were looking for, knew exactly how to achieve it, and we never felt pressured on anything. She was willing to answer all my dumb questions which she undoubtedly hears from every bride, and was full of advice on other planning decisions, to best ensure that the photos fit INTO the day rather than interrupted it. This turned out to be exactly what happened: every single person in my wedding party told me how much fun they had taking pictures, and how surprised they were that it wasn't the tedious chore they expected. Most importantly, the pictures were absolutely stunning. Our wedding was in early December, so the scenery we were working with was pretty bleak and desolate. But she actually took advantage of that scenery in such a way that she was able to incorporate it into the overall aesthetic of the day rather than simply avoiding or minimizing it. She not only captured the events of the day, but also the mood, the emotion. Looking at the pictures now, I'm instantly transported right back to those moments--which is fun now, a couple months after the wedding, but something I will only treasure more as time goes on and the memories start to fade. THANK YOU to Ashley and Joe for the incredible work. We will definitely be working with them in the future, and if you're looking for a photographer, you'll find none better!

At the wedding, Ashley and Joe were extremely professional and inventive. They made our guests feel comfortable throughout the night. After the venue, a photographer was the second most important thing to us during wedding planning. After looking through a bunch of different photographers' and studios' portfolios and emailing around, Ashley was super quick to respond and was available to meet up almost immediately! I loved every single photo from previous weddings that Ashley shot, so we were super excited after meeting her how personable, knowledgeable, affordable, and prepared she was in answering all of our questions and concerns. We had a lot of fun at our engagement shoot even though the weather was less than ideal, but it created a bunch of cool shots and Ashley was totally prepared for it! We had so much fun at the wedding with Ashley and Joe, getting a bunch of shots pre-ceremony even though the venue was hard to navigate around. Even though it was a busy time for Ashley, she got up a photo that night for us to see and posted a full sneak peak album later the next day! Now that we have all our photos back I can't stop looking at them, it's going to be hard picking out favorites to print.

My new husband hates his picture taken, but did great with Ashley's fun attitude. She was so much fun to work with and was like one of the wedding guests as the day went on. At times, I found myself talking to her rather than a family member just because I enjoyed her so much. I originally chose her because she was the lowest price around the Philadelphia area, but have since said I would choose her every time if I had to choose again! As soon as we began planning our wedding, we knew we wanted Ashley to be our wedding photographer. I was familiar with some of the outstanding work she did previously and was thrilled that she was available for our wedding date! The initial consultation went well, Ashley showed us more of her great work and her personality really matched with us. She also did our engagement photos which were so much fun. She made us feel comfortable and natural. On our wedding day, Ashley and her second (Joe) were excellent at getting everyone where they needed to be for pictures and then were great at fading into the background and getting candid shots. She recommended having a second photographer and we trusted her and we were glad we added a second to capture so many additional shots.
By the time we got home from the reception, she had already posted 20+ amazing photos that our families loved! We couldn't believe how quickly she had them available for us and we could not be more happy with Fantail!

She is extraordinarily professional, creative, FAST (our photos were finished in less than a week from our wedding!!), and produces quality work to boot. Her prices are VERY reasonable, no doubt. My husband and I decided to "splurge" on our wedding photographer, as everything else about our wedding was pretty low-budget (buffet style, 50 ppl, ceremony & reception at family's house, we played music from Spotify playlists on my aunts sonos sound system), and boy are we glad we did.
Book Ashley, and while you're at it book a second photographer that she works with, too. This is one thing I wish we did differently, just because I couldn't get enough of Fantail Photography's work!

Ashley is seriously a work of art, both in regards to her personality and her photography skills. From the moment I met her at a bridal expo, I knew she needed to be our photographer for our wedding. Fitting enough, she is the freelance photographer to the venue where we got married, where she knew the venue like the back of her hand. From our first meeting, she was always professional. She took into consideration what we thought was important and turned our vision of our wedding day into a masterpiece. Because of her, we have these beautiful memories to last us a lifetime. She made the entire bridal party feel completely at ease, especially myself with the impending 100% chance of rain. She even went above and beyond her duties promising me that if the weather was less than perfect, we’d have a rain date for just my husband and I. She fit right in and by the end of the entire process, felt like our family. Her second shooter Joe was also fantastic, always capturing candid moments that are impossible to get with just one shooter. Her timing of getting the photos back to us is almost unheard of. The night of our wedding we had almost 25 photos as our sneak peak, and in just one weeks time had all of our photos back. I cannot speak highly enough of Ashley and Fantail Photography as a whole. I will always recommend her, and even my maid of honor is using her for her wedding this up coming August! When my husband and I met Ashley for the first time, we knew instantly that she was going to be our photographer! Ashley's personality makes you feel that you have known her for years. She is so easygoing and makes you feel super comfortable. From the beginning she was willing to work with my budget and make sure we got exactly what we wanted despite not having a huge budget. We used Fantail for our March wedding at Hotel du Pont and I am so happy that we did! Ashley was awesome from start to finish and her second Joe was great too. And most importantly all the pictures are amazing! She did a great job of capturing all the important moments and emotions of the day/night. We met Ashley at a bridal show and loved her enthusiasm and spunk! Meeting up with her and checking out some of her work just sealed the deal for us, but we loved her personality from the beginning and knew we wanted her to shoot our wedding! Ashley was so fun to work with. It seemed like she was just as excited about our wedding as we were, and it never felt like work to her. She was a delight to work with from our engagement shoot, to a secret boudoir shoot for my hubs, and through our wedding ceremony and reception. Honestly, the JAW DROPPING pics of our wedding day were just the icing on the cake. The 700+ pictures she gave us were perfection. I seriously laughed and cried looking at them, and although I have had them for several months, I find myself looking at them at least once a week. Her prices were extremely reasonable, and the quality was superb. My husband & I plan on using her for family portraits forever!

Ashley was such a wonderful photographer for my wedding. Most importantly, the pictures are beautiful! She captured the candid moments and arranged the staged photos perfectly. She was great at organizing everyone efficiently, so we could be on our way and enjoy the wedding. Her correspondence is attentive and professional. I also like that the pictures belong to me after the wedding. I've heard so many brides say they felt ripped off when they had to buy their own wedding photos through the photographer. Not with Ashley. She does a great job taking pictures and sends them out for you to keep. Thank you Ashley. I couldn't be happier! P.S. She also takes beautiful pictures of my friends daughter.

We had our wedding at the end of October. We used Fantail Photography I'm so happy we did. Ashley and her second, Joe were amazing! They were very organized! Ashley gave us a fantastic deal! We did our engagement pictures with her early in the year. It was a great way to get to know her not to mention the gorgeous pictures we ended up with. After working with us 7 hours Ashley went home after our wedding and put up a couple of sneak peaks! Couldnt have picked a better photographer, she easy to work with not to mention fun! But Most of all her pictures are stunning, I'm so happy that we will have these photos for a lifetime!

Ashley and Joe were amazing! From the beginning with all of my questions, to the wedding day, Ashley was there quickly responding to all of my questions! They made me feel so comfortable. At the wedding I never had to check the see where they were, they were already there capturing the memories! I received the wedding pictures relatively quickly after the wedding, and they are beautiful! I am so happy with FANTAIL PHOTOGRAPHY! We will be using Fantail Photography in the future for all of our photography needs!

Ashley is amazing! She's so much fun and makes you feel comfortable even if you feel awkward in front of the camera. Our engagement photos are absolutely and the preview of our wedding look fantastic. I can't wait to see the rest :) I can't recommend her highly enough!

We couldn't have picked a better photographer for our Wedding. The only thing we asked for Ashley to do, was to capture all of our special moments. That way we could look back through our pictures and feel every emotion captured. She has by far exceeded every expectation we had. We had the pleasure to relive our entire wedding today, one picture at a time. Every moment, every feeling, and every celebration is now frozen in a snap shot that will take us back to the best day of our lives. We absolutely loved working with Ashley. Her service was top notch. Our engagement photos turned out wonderfully. We loved the suggestion that she made to have Waterloo gardens as our location. She made great suggestions during the shoot, but also made us comfortable and let us be ourselves. Our wedding day was perfect. She was early, made sure that we got all of the shots we wanted. She worked well with the bridal party. We would 100% recommend her to all of our friends and family.

We couldn’t possibly suggest strongly enough that you choose Fantail Photography for your upcoming wedding or event. My wife and I chose to go with Fantail for our wedding and reception, and were overjoyed with the results. In fact, no matter what we write in this review, it couldn’t match the raving of our friends and family over the quality of the work. We’ve had several requests for the contact information of our photographer from people we know looking to get married soon. Ashley from Fantail shot our wedding and reception, with the help of Laura, a second photographer. She also included a complimentary engagement shoot before the wedding, and a walk through of the wedding and reception site, at no extra charge. She was open to the suggestions and input of my bride and I, even allowing my bride to send her a Pinterest link to images she found compelling. Ashley had several conversations with us about our wants, needs, and feelings about our day. Her high-spirited, but low-pressure approach, made us feel at ease with the process. We felt fully engaged, but never nervous or anxious. Not only were the shots beautiful, truly capturing the light and spirit of our day, but we believe they were inventive, well thought out, and offered a unique perspective not only into the occasion, but also into us as a newly married couple. If you’re considering Fantail for your own event, or even if you’re just beginning your search, I urge you not to pass up the opportunity. Ashley was great! Very prepared and quick to get all the right shots. She is one photographer that isn't afraid to get dirty or wiggle around if that is going to be the perfect photo! She was efficient and made sure that all of our photos that we wanted could be done in the time frame (package we chose.) She is honest and very flexible. Any idea I had she made it happen. She really did just a great job and is so friendly. I couldn't have chosen a better photographer. Everyone just knew she did a great job even that night and didn't even need to see the photos. We were so happy with her. A+++ Did I mention, the photos were FANTASTIC!

Ashley Schroeder was our Photographer with Fantail and she was incredible. She met with us multiple times and scouted out the venue before the wedding to make sure we got the best pictures in the prettiest locations. She was also flexible with the package to help fit what WE needed. On the wedding day itself her and her assistant were invisible when they needed to be and got great candid photos. They were also very accommodating to our large wedding party and SOMEHOW managed to keep the groomsmen in line. She took me and my husband out during the reception for some private photos. Because of that, we were able to have more intimate/sexy/romantic photos without our family looking on. The BEST PART was that she was able to correct the psoriasis on my husband's face (this was something I was extremely worried about)
The pictures we got after were gorgeous and she captured so many details of the wedding that I didn't even know i wanted to have until I saw them after (such as decor, rings, etc)
My family all loved the pictures and we plan on booking Fantail again for a family photo shoot!

Ashley and Joe are both natural photographers with a great eye for catching very human, natural moments instead of lots of posed, unnatural shots. They both captured the essence of our wedding day, which was mostly about our friends and family and less about us! We are so pleased with how our photos turned out and are so excited to share them with our families and friends. Ashley is very professional and responsive, and was flexible enough to drive quite a distance to our venue to get a lay of the land before our big day. I love all of the candid shots we have with our friends and families, and Ashley and Joe made sure to capture photos of important moments we definitely didn't want to miss (grandparents dancing, our dog/ring bearer running up to us during the ceremony, and many more). We provided Ashley a thorough list of shots and she made sure to get a shot for every bulletpoint on the list. We received our photos about 6 weeks after our wedding in a dropbox folder and on her website and are super pleased with the quality. We can't say enough good things about Ashley and Joe and the quality of their work. Highly recommend!

Ashley at Fantail Photography is willing to work with the client. I told her I was on a budget and didn't want and entire day of photography. She created 3 different packages personally for me that would fit with in my budget. Our wedding took place in our backyard, she came out twice to check it out and get a feel for the evening. Ashley also sends out a form to find out what percentage of your photos you want for Formal, Candid, & Details, etc. She really listens to what the client (the Bride :)) wants!
She provided a Sneak Peak with in a couple days of the event and had all the photos done less than a month later.

Ashley and Joe are the best!! They both have so much knowledge and talent in what they does. Ashley works with great energy, structure and confidence which definitely helped to keep our wedding party on schedule and bang out all the photos quickly on such a cold day. And Joe was awesome at getting all the candid and background photos. They were both so fun to work with, and all the pictures came out so beautifully! We also did our engagement photo shoot with Ashley, which was great to meet and work with her before our wedding day. Definitely recommend Fantail Photography!

I am so thankful that I found Ashley and Fantail Photography for my wedding! From the first meeting at Brew Haha, my husband and I knew that Ashley was the right photographer for us. She is a true professional, while also being friendly, casual and easy to work with. Ashley and Joe worked perfectly together to create and capture beautiful moments at our wedding. All of our family and friends commented on how seamlessly (and unnoticeable) Ashley and Joe worked through our wedding. Now that we have our pictures back, I only wish that we had splurged and gotten more pictures from Ashley because they are all so beautiful!

Contact Fantail as early as possible. They will do your engagement photos as well and have access to location in the Chester and Delaware county that are great for engagement photos. Ashely was great to work with. You can mix and match the different package for a great price. Ashely and Joe did a great job at our wedding. They blended in the crowd great and took awesome pictures. Our wedding had some rain and we were worried that the photos would come out bad, Ashely did a great job with the editing and made every photo look great.

Ashley was great from day one, understanding that we are a laid back couple, wanting our photos to be natural and "us" like. She was flexible with her schedule to talk or meet up with me. Weddings and all there formalities make me nervous but Ashley is very understanding and her personality is great and really made it easy to relax. Not even 3 weeks later she had all of our photos completed and sent to us with full rights. And they are beautiful! They are so creative. I love the back drops, the emotions they captured, and all the nice little details. I would definitely refer fantail to others!

Ashley with Fantail was very professional and had some great ideas. Since we had already had a commitment ceremony in the past, we opted to do more of a family session prior to going to the courthouse to do the "legal" aspect. Even though the courthouse venue wasn't really romantic, she got some shots that captured the spirit of the day. I like the fact that she put all the final shots on dropbox, and that we can have them all, without having to print a bunch that we will just file away.....which helps with cost savings.
