Being from Vermont, it was important to use as many local vendors as possible for our wedding. Jenica at Fancy Pants was one of the first vendors we chose to work with and it was a seamless experience from start to finish. The process of tasting and choosing the flavor and design was extremely collaborative, and she made it as accessible as possible for us. When we got closer to the wedding, communication was prompt and everyone was always on the same page. Delivery and set up was right on time, and the cakes themselves were beyond good, and beautiful in color. We can’t recommend Fancy Pants enough for all of your wedding cake needs! No need to look any further. -

this cake was perfect! just what we wanted. I loved working with Jenica who was professional and had great advice, like which fresh berries would be best and how much cake for how many people we had. I liked that she mailed us a ton of options and we got try them at home ourselves. we opted for a brown sugar vanilla cake and a choclate gf cake with dulce de leche frosting. we got rave reviews from our guests and we loved it too! she also is so talented look at this gorgeous cake! -

My wife and I couldn't have been happier with how Jenica executed our vision for our wedding cake. She was incredibly patient, very easy to work with, and offered excellent advice and suggestions when we were stuck on design choices. On the day of the wedding, my wife and I first saw the completed cake during one of our pre-wedding photo shoots and were blown away by just how fantastic the cake looked - it came out better than either of us could've imagined. Not only did the cake look amazing, after the wedding we heard reports of guests returning to the desert table for 2nd and 3rd servings during the reception, so you know the cake tasted delicious as well. I speak for both my wife and I when I say that if you are considering Fancy Pants Cakes for you wedding cake, you will not be disappointed. -

All I can say is WOW! Not only was the cake the EXACT look that we wanted from the inspiration pictures we sent, but our wedding guests are still raving about just how delicious the cake was! Jenica was fantastic to work with and she is an extremely talented baker. The number of flavor and buttercream choices she gives you is incredible. I can seriously still taste our brown sugar vanilla cake with chai buttercream like it was yesterday! Jenica was open to our vision and worked to make it exactly what we hoped for. Also, flavor tasting the mini cupcakes and buttercreams she sent to us in the mail was a delicious bonus. We can't recommend her enough!! -

Jenica was a DREAM to work with. She saw our vision start to finish and executed on the most beautiful cake we could have ever imagined. She also found the silver stand that we loved and it was the perfect touch. The cake was both stunning and delicious. It was the most delicious cake we have ever tasted in our life and many of our guests thought the same. If you hire Jenica you will not have to worry or stress about a thing! -

Jenica did an incredible job with our cake! From the tasting, the consultation, and the end result, her communication was excellent! Our tasting was mailed to us and everything tasted incredible! We ended up going with a chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream and chocolate ganache, and a brown butter vanilla with maple buttercream and white chocolate ganache. They were to die for! But there were so many amazing flavor combinations it was so hard to pick. The decorations came out absolutely perfect - it was amazing to see exactly what we had talked about come to life! She even suggested we hide a small detail in our frosting, and we chose to include a cat to represent ours. It came out so cute! The guests loved the cake and we were able to take a tier home for ourselves. Thank you so much Jenica! -

Jenica was fantastic!! She was so responsive and worked with us to facilitate two different tastings (since we were having trouble deciding), and gave us fantastic suggestions around display and flavors. We got a GF cutting cake and normal mini cupcakes, and both of them were fantastic. The number of cupcakes she recommended was spot on, we only had about a dozen minis leftover the next day (which got quickly eaten during breakfast!). Cannot recommend highly enough!! -

I was so impressed with Jenica / Fancy Pants Cakes. Jenica was amazing to work with, she calmed my nerves, and made delicious recommendations.
Everyone at the wedding reception raved about the cake. My favourite moment is when the bride and groom were doing their cake cutting pictures, and the bride got lovely shocked look.. OMG this is delicious she said while she had cake covering her face. -

Delicious Cakes & Amazing Service
Jenica was amazing to work with throughout our wedding cake selection process! She put together the most delicious tasting package and overnighted it to us in Boston so that we could taste all the flavors we were considering for our wedding cake. We had a difficult time narrowing it down to just one flavor combination because they were all so delicious so Jenica recommended we select two different flavor combinations for our guests to choose from, and we’re so glad we did! Our guests absolutely loved the brown sugar vanilla cake with raspberry puree and chocolate ganache and the pumpkin cake with maple buttercream filling – many opted for a slice of each! The cake itself was beautiful, and Jenica was able to place a few loose flowers from our florist on the cake to tie everything together. We highly recommend Fancy Pants Cakes for all your cake needs! -

We had a small wedding and a small two tier cake-- German chocolate with traditional filling in the center and mocha in the other two layers and Carrot cake with salted caramel filling. This cake was fantastic and as hard as it is to pick a favorite, we LOVED the salted caramel with the carrot cake. I can't express how delicious Jenica's creation was and how much we appreciated her communication and scrumptious work.
We were a destination wedding so all of our communication with Jenica was virtual and we were always pleased with her response time and level of communication. We knew we were in good hands and everything went off seamlessly.
We would highly recommend her business and are only sad we can't eat more of her cake anytime soon! -

Fancy Pants was great! Our wedding cake was exactly what we wanted AND she even made a hat-shaped surprise cake (it's an inside joke) per the request of our parents that was a total surprise but also delicious! Definitely recommend her services :) -

Our cake was delicious and beautiful all thanks to Jenica at Fancy Pants Cakes. She was a delight to work with from initial design of the cake, to tastings (which she was kind enough to overnight ship to Louisiana because we were not in town to do an in-person tasting), to the finalized cake. There were plenty of cake flavor/ buttercream options to choose from and we were able to have a cake with three distinct flavor tiers, which we and our guests loved. We could not have asked for a better cake. We cannot recommend Fancy Pants Cakes enough! -

Stunning and delicious cake!!
We feel so lucky that Jenica kindly agreed to make our wedding cake for us as we were late to the game and she had already filled her schedule by the time we reached out. She made room for us, honored all of our notes and requests, and delivered the most perfectly beautiful and super delicious cake to us for the wedding! We got a three-tiered cake and 400 mini cupcakes and all of it was gone by the following morning! Our guests continue to talk about how good they were. Could not recommend Fancy Pants Cakes more highly. Thank you Jenica and Fancy Pants!! -

I’m not really a cake person, but Jenica’s cakes are DELICIOUS. They’re also beautiful. Jenica herself is incredibly organized and professional, and really goes out of her way to make sure she understands what you want your cake to taste like and look like. She was very communicative and extremely easy to work with. She’ll even ship cake tastings to you if you’re having a destination wedding and can’t come to Vermont. -

We loved working with Jenica for our wedding cake and desserts. She is very professional and responsive. I really appreciated how she reminded me when certain due dates/items were due because I planned our entire wedding and got a bit overwhelmed at times. And she helped recommend flavors which was really helpful. We got married at West Mountain Inn in Arlington VT and she was on the list of recommended vendors for us - were so happy to work with her! -

Amazing Cake!
Jenica was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was extremely professional and responsive. We had somewhat of an idea of what we wanted for a cake and Jenica helped us brainstorm and tweak the idea to perfection. The tasting box she provided was extremely helpful. Basically all of the cake and frosting flavors tasted amazing, and we settled on the vanilla bean cake with strawberry champagne frosting which was an awesome combo! We knew the cake was going to come out great, but when we finally saw the finished product it was even better than we hoped! Working with Jenica was an overall great experience and we would recommend her to anyone. -

Jenica from Fancy Pants cake was extremely accommodating and responsive. She accommodated our request for a small elopement cake even though she already had another wedding that weekend, listened to our ideas, and made suggestions in order to get us exactly what we wanted (or even better!). She made the process super easy and the cake was beautiful and delicious. We definitely recommend using Fancy Pants Cakes! -

Everything was amazing
If you need a special occasion cake in the Vermont area, I would highly recommend Fancy Pants. After a couple brief conversations, I was confident they shared my vision for our wedding cake. Travel restrictions prevented us from doing a tasting, but I was sure it would turn out and taste great. Fancy Pants also did some mini cupcakes for a smaller event a few days before so we ended up having 4 flavor combinations between the two events and they were all so tasty! The wedding cake was perfect and looked so beautiful, it was hard to cut into it! -

It’s challenging to hire vendors in a pandemic. But thanks to WeddingWire we found Fancy Pants Cakes! Jenica is great to work with. She responded to our inquiry and even though we never met in person, through video chat and emails we came up with the perfect cake! Not only was the design creative and it was the best cake we have ever had! Not a crumb was left over! I would definitely hire her again! -

Perfect cake for our elopement!
Jenica baked a tiny, perfect wedding cake for our true elopement (no guests). At first we didn’t want a cake since it was just the two of us but we’re so glad we got one - it was incredibly beautiful and Jenica is a true professional. She coordinated with our florist, decorated the cake with the same flowers from my bouquet, and delivered both the cake AND the flowers, despite being from separate businesses. We were so impressed with her prompt communication and even more impressed with the cake itself, which is delicious - and, in fact, not as tiny as it looked: we have lots of delicious leftovers :) Highly recommended! -

We love Jenica! Not only was she sweet and very easy to work with, she took a few photos and transformed them into the most beautiful cake imaginable! She is extremely talented and thoughtful about her work. For example, we really wanted a "semi-naked" cake, but we also wanted funfetti. Jenica gave us options to make sure we would like the way it looked (ie, did we want the funfetti to show through, or did we want a more natural look). Not only did the cake look beautiful, everyone thought it was absolutely delicious. Thanks Jenica - we can't wait to get another cake from you in the future! -

A creative meeting of the minds!
Jenica was wonderful to work with. She was able to make our cake gluten free and helped get the ball rolling with ideas on how to design it. We sent pictures back and forth via email since I live in New Jersey and created our perfect cake! Artistic deliciousness
We had a fabulous time designing our wedding cake and cupcakes with Jenica for our wedding at stratton in july. it was amazing, and thank god we had a pre-wedding tasting because the cupcakes were GONE before i had a chance to eat! The guests really enjoyed the maple and nutella flavors, and our cake came out fabulous with a skiing theme. And Jenica was very responsive, and easy to work with. Blown away!
Highly recommend! From the first phone call Fancy Pants was a joy to work with. She asked all the right questions and made me feel confident to pursue her business. She includes a tasting if you book her and we were able to try 3 different cakes with 3 different frosting combos. Her website is comprehensive and is really helpful for both references and inspiration. Most importantly, my guests raved about our cake! It was so unique yet delicious, we went with a semi-naked brown sugar vanilla cake with cookie butter frosting. Not knowing the standard value for wedding cakes in Bennington, it seemed on the expensive side but it was well worth it. Every other aspect was exceptional and Jennica was professional and kind. Her communication was solid and making our payment was easy. She also set up the cake at the venue and made sure we had both a cutting guide for the caterer and instructions for freezing the top.. but I doubt this amazing cake will make it a whole year before we dig in! -

Wonderful to Work With
Most of my wedding planning occurred while I was finishing college in Ohio and I only had two months to plan. Fancy Pants Cakes was willing to work with me in such a short time frame and while I was away. Jenica responded quickly to my emails. I am an indecisive individual but she was patient and helped guide me through the process of styling the cake. Jenica even went out of her way to make sure that I was able to sample flavors that I was considering. On the wedding day, the presentation of the cake, as well as the taste, was incredible. She did a beautiful job in such a short amount of time. Jenica is a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a cake for a special occasion. -
