Beautiful and tasty

The team at Fancy Cakes did an amazing job with our wedding cake. They do great tasting boxes to give you a good idea of what they can do. From there I worked with their designer to figure out the details, mostly over email. Our cake turned out exactly as we'd hoped - and they even placed our flowers on there. I would highly recommend working with Fancy Cakes!

Amazing for food allergies!

I myself am an avid baker, so obviously the cake was a very important detail to me. I wanted a cake that was both beautiful and delicious, and to make things more complicated, my husband has a severe dairy allergy and so we needed to find a baker who could make an amazing dairy free cake. Anyone with severe food allergies knows how stressful it can be trusting someone to make food that is safe. We were so lucky to find Fancy Cakes by Leslie - they were not only able to make an incredibly beautiful and delicious cake, but they were also incredibly attentive to the dairy allergy and made an equally delicious dairy free tier!

Besides the wedding cake itself being amazing, they truly went above and beyond on our tasting. We received 7 six-inch dairy free cakes for our at home tasting and an assortment of dairy free treats. It was truly over the top and we ate only cake for like three days straight.

Communication with Fancy Cakes by Leslie was a breeze - I was truly obsessive confirming details for the cake and they were happy to go through our order several times to placate me. Cannot recommend them enough!

I couldn't say enough great things about Fancy Cakes! It's run by Megan now who just did an incredible job with our wedding cake. Her attention to detail was above and beyond and it was exactly what we pictured. Everyone loved it too and told us it was one the best they've had at a wedding! 10/10 recommend :)

No Better GF Wedding Cake

If you need gluten free - go to FancyCakes by Leslie! Our cake was just delicious and no one at our wedding had any idea that our cake was GF. And they were an absolute pleasure to work with. We also got a non-GF groom's cake that had the absolutely perfect decor. Cannot recommend them enough!

Amazing cakes, great service

We got our wedding cake at Fancy Cakes by Leslie and it was DELICIOUS. When we went back one year later we got a smaller, identical anniversary cake at no charge! Friendly staff and wonderful service!!

Surprise Groom's Cake

My mom surprised us with this amazing groom's cake and we were blown away. My husband is a rocket scientist and we met in college. Not only is this cake amazing looking - both the rocket and our college mascot were incredibly well done - it was so delicious! Tasted like a Reeses (our favorite candy and our last name). The cake was fluffy and yummy, the fondant was super good, and the filing with so creamy. Worth every penny!

Cake was amazing!!!

This cake came out absolutely amazing and I got so many compliments on how delicious it was!! We did an earl grey cake with raspberry buttercream filling and swiss buttercream frosting. We kept it simple, three tiers, and added real flowers to it. They were so easy to work with!

Beautiful and Yummy!

The cakes made by Fancy Cakes by Leslie were exactly what we envisioned and tasted delicious. There are so many yummy flavor combinations, we ended up having each layer be different and the variety was nice for our guests. The classic wedding cake was beautiful (flowers supplied by florist) and the groom’s cake stole the show (Star Wars since we got married May 4th).

Leslie's work is unrivaled. Her company had made cakes for us over the past decade. She is creative and her designs are stunning. Despite her national popularity she remains humble and her price point for her products is more than reasonable. We love her and will continue to use her for future events.

Scientifically Accurate Bowerbird Cake

We had a very specific vision for our wedding cake - we wanted a pair of bowerbirds in a bower, decorated with found objects. Basically, something straight out of a David Attenborough documentary (we're both birdwatchers). When we explained this vision to our baker, she immediately asked us, "And what species of bowerbird do you want?" There was no question that this was the place for us! The cake turned out even better than we could ever have imagined it. The artwork was cute, stunning, and scientifically accurate down to the last feather. And the best part... the cake was DELICIOUS. The cake sized for 75 fed all of our guests with ample leftovers. We were giving away cake to the neighbors and happily eating it for two weeks afterward without getting tired of it. We still have the bowerbirds in our freezer, where they will live for as long as they last, since I couldn't bear to part with such a lovely work of art. Leslie's Fancy Cakes was fun, easy to work with, punctual and tasty. We give our highest recommendation!

Cake was perfect for my Daughter’s Quinceañera

Leslie and Mary were great. They were very responsive and provided several cake samples. We chose 3 amazing flavors. The design was exactly what we asked for. Our cake was a beautiful and tasteful.

Highly recommend!

Leslie provided the cake for our October 2018 wedding reception and it was absolutely beautiful! She totally understood our vision, colors, and preferences and made us a cake that was even more beautiful than we could have imagined! We chose to have each layer of the cake be a different flavor (lemon, vanilla raspberry, carrot cake, and red velvet) and they all turned out equally delicious and all of our guests absolutely loved the cake! I would HIGHLY recommend using Fancy Cakes by Leslie - she truly does an amazing amazing job!

We chose Fancy Cakes by Leslie for our wedding last August and I don't regret it at all. When we went to try the cakes we loved most of the flavors they had, so we ended up choosing 3 different flavors for the cake. The staff was very nice and helpful, they were always available when we had any questions. The wedding cake was delicious and it looked amazing, it was an exact copy of the cake picture I showed them. On they wedding day cake was delivered on time. I will recommend this bakery to everyone!

Fancy Cakes by Leslie did a perfect job with our wedding cake! They were very helpful in creating the design, and they had so many different flavor combinations to choose from. We ended up offering three different cake flavors, and the price for doing so was very reasonable. The cake they delivered to the wedding was really beautiful, exactly what we had asked for, and it was really delicious. We received many compliments on our cake, and we would highly recommend this bakery!

Leslie took us in for a last minute appointment for a wedding cake. Her and her team were patient as we looked through samples and dealt with the many different viewpoints and tastes of all that attended the cake tasting. They kept working with us through what was not a smooth appointment. We ultimately found a picture of what we wanted online, and they took that pictures and gave me the most beautiful cake (it was everything I wanted and more!). Their prices were reasonable (actually less than we had expected for such intricate work and 3D flowers). They were very professional and patient. Also, the cake turned out DELICIOUS! We tasted lots of cakes that looked pretty but were not moist and flavorful but I remember how good the cake was during our wedding.

The beauty and taste of the cakes make it worth it, but the professional staff at Leslie's bakery make this a no brainer. I would absolutely recommend Fancy Cakes by Leslie to any bride regardless of budget!

Leslie and her team baked/designed the cake for my wedding in Baltimore and I could not have been more thrilled with the final product! The cake was absolutely beautiful-- exactly the way I wanted it to look. And better than that, it tasted so so good-- something most wedding cakes lack. I am gluten free so I had an even more special request that the top layer be gluten free so my groom and I could share a bite and the rest of the cake would be regular cake-- and I couldn't even tell it was gluten free. Holy cow! It was outrageously delicious!! I am so happy that I chose Fancy Cakes by Leslie and that her team delivered our cake without any snafus... And helped to make our day the most perfect day ever.

Our cake by Leslie was amazing. I had a very specific idea in mind of what I wanted, which included a custom topper I had ordered. Leslie designed the cake to match my dress in color and design, and incorporated our custom topper beautifully. The cake was truly one of the highlights of the wedding and was also delicious! We had lemon cake with a lemon chard fill, then we had 150 cupcakes of lemon, red velvet and chocolate. delicious. amazing. highly recommend working with Leslie!

I got married last weekend and about a week and a half before our wedding date, we decided that we did want a cake. We called Leslie and she was able to put together the perfect wedding cake even with such short notice. We had red velvet with vanilla buttercream and a chocolate fudge cake with raspberry filling...delicious! Everything looked beautiful and tasted even better. And it was delivered on time with no issues. We have used Leslie for birthday cakes before and we will continue to go back and recommend her shop to anyone else looking!

Leslie did an amazing job with our wedding cake! She was fantastic to work with in planning the design and aligning it with our style and vision. Her cake looked amazing at our wedding, and beautiful throughout our long reception. Even more incredible was that it tasted divine! Leslie did an amazing job with our wedding cake! She listened to exactly what we wanted, helped us to find a style that fit both our styles and advised us on a few items we were unsure of. The cake looked beautiful and the sugar flowers were so realistic. The cake itself tasted amazing! Many of my friends have told me it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. Leslie was the 2nd shop where we tasted cake and she totally blew the first one out of the water. There was simply no competition. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a cake. The other lovely thing is that she works with Main Event Caterers, so they take care of the delivery and payment.

Our wedding cake was AMAZING and we loved working with Leslie. She was our second meeting for cake and when we tasted her cake and saw her photos we knew she was the one. She was quick and to the point and her work is beautiful and delicious! We had a four tear cake with three different flavors and it was decadent. The cake was so beautiful set up at our reception...it was a real show stopper. It is in so many photos because you can't help but admire it. We had our florist bring fresh flowers to decorate it with on the day of, and Leslie personally came out to the venue to deliver the cake and place the flowers. This was such a low maintenance partnership....we met, we brainstormed, and I never worried about it again after we booked Leslie. It was perfection and I highly recommend Fancy Cakes by Leslie to anyone!

Our wedding cake from Fancy Cakes by Leslie was excellent. Our caterer recommended Fancy Cakes, and we visited for a consultation and tasting with Leslie, who is quite funny. We wanted a beautiful, elegant cake that actually tasted good, and that's what we got. We decided on a vanilla buttercream covered cake with simple orange orchid blossoms. We chose chocolate ganache and tiramisu for the cake flavors, which worked well for our fall wedding. Delivery to our venue was smooth, and we felt the cake quality and tastiness were well worth the price. We highly recommend Fancy Cakes.

Leslie provided a full array of possible cake designs and flavors so we could choose the perfect cake. We tasted many different flavors and chose chocolate, lemon and Irish Cream with fondant and butter cream frosting. The cake was moist an flavorful. Everyone said it was delicious. The bride and groom wanted to portray their four pets on the cake and Leslie made replicas of the pets from their photographs. It was a hit on an evening of wonderful experiences. Leslie is creative and responsive to the requests of the bride and groom. Her administrative staff is friendly and efficient. Overall, a great experience and a memorable and delicious wedding cake!

Absolutely blew me away on my wedding day...!

In the beginning, I made a reservation to taste cake at another but accidentally went to Fancy Cakes thinking that was my appointment. I am so glad I made that mistake. They were willing to give me free cake tasting and to go over designs even though they were busy helping other customers. I hate how I forgot the woman's name but she was extremely nice and let me take two designs to put on the cake. She helped me choose the perfect wedding colors, mint and gold.

On the wedding day, I wasn't able to see the cake until the cutting and I was amazed in the details! I didn't want fondant and I was worried the details wouldn't look right but boy was I wrong.. AMAZING!!!!! Everyone took pictures of the cake and kept wanting seconds. I had three flavors (cookies and creme being my favorite) and they were delicious. I can't wait to go back to the store for my anniversary cake. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We went into the cake process not entirely sure we even wanted a cake! But, we're so happy that we did -- and that we went with Leslie. She worked with us to make our cake exactly how we wanted - and was even able to incorporate our custom monogram and invitation details!! It was delicious and we couldn't be happier with the presentation and experience.

I absolutely loved my cake and cupcakes from Leslie! For the cake, I picked a design online, and she replicated it perfectly using my colors. We picked a lemon cake for the top, and almond cake for the bottom, and they were delicious! I am not a sweets person, but I ate two pieces of the cake!

I also picked two different flavored cupcakes, which were absolutely delicious. Leslie offered a lot of different options, creating a customized mint chocolate chip cupcake for us with white cake. Everyone raved how amazing they were! The cupcake was moist, and the icing was fluffy and tasted great. I highly recommend Leslie and can't wait for another opportunity to order from her!

Our cake was simply stunning. I came in with a picture of my unique gown and some cakes I'd pinned, and Leslie came up with a perfect design for a totally reasonable price. The cake wasn't really that important to me until I saw it, and I was floored. It really added something to the day. That's what happens when you hire a true professional who makes true art. I highly recommend Fancy Cakes by Leslie to anyone looking for a wedding cake that is both stunningly beautiful and--most importantly--delicious. First off, I love cake, and I take my cake pretty seriously. I’ve been called a cake connoisseur (sometimes, even a cake snob). Everything I tasted at Fancy Cakes was superb, both in flavor and in texture. I still cannot get over how amazing their Nutella frosting is. Try it, you’ll love it. I was also extremely impressed by their customer service. We did all of our tastings on weekends, and Fancy Cakes was the only place that did not rush us and treated us as if they wanted to earn our business. They brainstormed with us, reviewed pictures, drew multiple mock-ups to help us narrow down a design, and gave wonderful suggestions. Although they asked us to select some cakes, fillings, and icings to taste ahead of time, they brought out many others and even offered to whip up some fillings in the back that they typically didn’t keep on hand for tastings. The experience was phenomenal, and we were sold. (Compare: We had gone to Fluffy Thoughts the weekend before, where they started our appointment late, told us we had exactly one hour, then blatently rushed us). In the time leading up to the wedding, Fancy Cakes stayed in touch and reminded us we could make design adjustments. We ultimately didn’t, because we loved their first design so much; however, we really appreciated their flexibility. On the day of the wedding, our cake was perfect. It was gorgeous, better than I even imagined. I tasted all three layers at the wedding, and every layer was moist and amazingly delicious. We received so many compliments from guests on our cake, with most of them saying it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. I cannot recommend Fancy Cakes by Leslie enough--they gave me the wedding cake of my dreams, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with!

We were so happy we went with Fancy Cakes by Leslie for our wedding cake. It is no small feat to get a bridal cake that is gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free in DC. We got a small cake for us - which was delightful and dense and then a large cake for our guests. We went with white almond cake with Swiss vanilla and raspberry filling for one layer and two layers of chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling - it was delicious! The staff at Fancy Cakes by Leslie was very friendly during the tasting and subsequent phone calls, including with Leslie herself. They did the design we requested perfectly and the cake arrived on time - it was nice to not have to worry about this part of the wedding and just enjoy it!

If we were allowed to give Fancy Cakes by Leslie 10 stars we would. This vendor provided our cake for our rehearsal dinner and for our wedding. People could not get enough! Our rehearsal dinner cake was a sculpted designed by the bride and executed perfectly by the bakers and artists. It mixed together many of the groom's favorite things. The wedding cake was also dreamed up by the bride and incorporated a five pound snow globe as a cake topper. This was an easy challenge for the team at Fancy Cakes by Leslie. The cake looked amazing with rhinestones, flowers, and other elements that make it a truly fairy tale addition to our wedding day. If you want a cake you and your guests will never forget - this is the vendor for you!

Two weeks before my wedding, I was going crazy because initially I had planned to order macarons as wedding favors from another bakery but they abruptly closed for renovations. Finally, I found Fancy Cakes by Leslie and called them and if it if it was too late to place an order of 100 macarons and they said it would not be a problem. The macarons tasted amazing! We received compliments from our guests asking about the bakery. Their service was impeccable. Leslie was very nice and the staff I encountered were all great too!

We walked into the store front with very vague ideas about what we wanted for a wedding cake. We were helped by an INCREDIBLE baker/artist (sorry, I don't remember your name!) who was full of ideas about what we could do and designed the perfect cake for us - it looked amazing on the wedding day! In the excitement of picking the design we didn't focus on the flavors much when selecting the cake, but everyone RAVED about the taste of the cake! The cake was probably our guests favorite part of the wedding!

My husband, Jon, and I couldn't have been happier with our wedding cake -- not only did it look stunning, but it tasted just as good! During our cake tasting, Leslie worked with Jon, my parents and I to create a beautiful, tasty cake that stayed within our budget and matched our classic style. It was clear from the get go how much pride Leslie takes in her cake shop, and in each cake -- so much so that I went back after we ordered the wedding cake to order a groom's cake for my then fiance. Like the wedding cake, the groom's cake was a hit at our rehearsal dinner, both in taste and in appearance (Leslie made a football helmet, half Virginia Tech (my husband's alma mater) and half Chicago Bears (my husband's favorite NFL team)). Our guests loved it, as did Jon! Cannot recommend Leslie enough if you are looking for a reasonably priced, stylish and delicious cake, for your wedding or any occasion!

We are sure everyone says this but our cake, by far, was the most beautiful and delicious wedding cakes EVER! From our first cake testing, we knew there was no better cake than a cake by Leslie. Plus, Leslie was one of the few bakers who actually makes gluten free cakes. During the testing, we couldn't even tell the difference between the gluten free and gluten cakes! In the end, the gluten free was hugely popular, as was the entire cake. Leslie's team helped create a masterpiece that was a delightful and yummy addition to the wedding.

Leslie and Fancy Cakes by Leslie were wonderful. Leslie spent a good amount of time with us selecting the cake design and going through the cake tasting. She helped us mix and match flavors until we had picked our favorites. Everyone raved about our cake (two different flavors) and a third flavor for our top tier. The fondant and the mocha hazelnut chocolate layer were unbelievable!!! Before going to Leslie we had tried two other large pastry shops in the DC area and were very disappointed at the service and cake quality/flavor.

Our wedding cake, what can I say? A very dear friend of ours works for this company and she made our cake for our wedding. It was exactly what I asked for, which is amazing considering how confusing my requests were. The cake was delicious and beautiful. The really handy part was when it came down to the part of our reception where we were to cut the cake, we had our cake maker right next to us to tell us the best way to do it! Leslie was wonderful to work with. She gave us suggestions that would work within our budget and for the quality of her cakes, she is very comparable. We had the buttercream icing and lemon cake. My husband doesn't even eat cake and he really liked this one! Leslie made us feel comfortable about the cake being delivered and holding onto our cake topper in advance. She doesn't rent the cake holder, so to help us save money she suggested us using the cup holder thing that restaurants use and just cover it with a napkin or tablecloth, which would have worked but we ended up not using that or a cake holder and we didn't need it. The cake looked beautiful on the table as was, which saved us money by not having to rent or buy a cake holder. Everybody at the wedding said how wonderful the cake was. It was beautiful looking, moist and yummy! Thank you Leslie and your staff for making our day special and yummy!

Our cake was included with booking at the W Hotel in DC and they use Fancy Cakes by Leslie. This was one of the easiest vendors to work with for my wedding. I saw a picture in a magazine of a cake that Leslie's bakery made and I knew I wanted my cake to look just like the picture. We got sooo lucky with our caterer who contracted our cake out to Leslie's!!! It was so much fun to go to the store and design a beautiful cake, which turned out almost exactly how we wanted it. Seriously, it looks like one that should've been in a magazine. My only complaint is that they put in amaretto frosting instead of hazelnut, but it still tasted very good. We tried to save the top tier of the cake for our first anniversary, but it didn't last more than a month after the wedding because we couldn't stop eating it. Fortunately, they can make tiny replicas for your anniversaries.

Our wedding cake was a 4 tier stacked buttercream cake. It had a beautiful lace pattern on two of the layers and dots on the other two. My florist provided the cake topper and flower clusters for the layers. It was a truly stunning cake (and it tasted great too). We got many compliments.
The process from beginning to end was wonderful. When we arrived for the tasting we tried several different cake flavors, icing flavors and filing flavors. These are done on mini cupcakes. When I had chosen almond cake for one of the layers but could not decide about which buttercream. They frosted a mini almond cupcake with the buttercreams that I was trying to decide between so i could actually taste it together. After choosing the flavors we set out to choose what the cake would look like. They have so many books - it was hard! I decided I wanted to combine the pictures from two of the cakes in the books. The took the time to draw out what the cake would like like on each layer and photocopied it so i could take it with me a show it to my florist. If I need another speciality cake I will definitely go back to Leslie!

We had a fairly small 2 tiered cake for 50 people and we were able to have a free tasting- not always the case I have learned. There were a couple of flavors that weren't available that day, but we were able to pick up a few cupcakes a few days later to try. Really delicious, moist and not too sweet. We ended up with pistachio and almond tiers. The design of the cake was so beautiful- cream fondant with a gold ribbon we supplied and then gold piped curly-cues - very elegant. Everyone is super nice there and really quite reasonable.

I wasn't going to get a wedding cake. I hadn't seen anything that struck me as spectacular enough, and wedding cakes never taste good, right? Then I saw it on the Knot.com. The perfect cake. I loved it - I loved everything about it. Problem: I had no clue who could make it for me in the DC area. Based on a picture and a color sample alone, Fancy Cakes By Leslie made an exact replica of the cake I wanted. And to top it off - it was utterly delicious. When my husband and I cut into a "ceremonial" piece, I actually turned to my mother and said "this cake is delicious." In hindsight, not my most picture perfect bridal moment. But hey, the cake really was delicious and utterly gorgeous. I can't thank them enough.

Fancy cakes by Leslie had so many binders of beautiful cakes to view at the bakery. They took a photo of a cake I saw in a magazine and created a beautiful replica! Not only are their cakes gorgeous but they are also delicious. We were able to go to the bakery and taste test all of the cake flavors to narrow down our choice! THey were even able to cater to my sister's gluten free diets and provide gluten free cupcakes which were as delicious as the cake. Wonderful staff and would recommend Fancy Cakes by Leslie!!

Our wedding cake was exactly what we had hoped for. It was gorgeous and was delicious!! I would highly recommend Fancy Cakes by Leslie. Leslie personally met with my husband and I each time we stopped in and was patient with our many design changes. :)

We had Leslie do our engagement cake 2 years ago. She had done an amazing job on a seashell theme that we knew we wouldn’t be bothered by anyone else when we planned out wedding. Our hotel included a cake with our package but none of the cakes looked close to Leslie's. We decided to use Leslie on our wedding and we are soooo glad we did. Our cake looked and tasted amazing. It was definitely talked about for weeks. Leslie is very flexible to work with and she always has a great always smiling staff welcoming you every time you visit their bakery. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a personalized service and an extraordinary cake!

I loooooved my cake! It was exactly what James and I dreamed up. Apparently even my guests thought the cake was so beautiful that everyone with a camera took pictures of it. A guest just told me the other day that it was one of those cakes that looks so gorgeous you expect it to taste terrible, but he said after one bite, it was heaven. I think Leslie did an amazing job and can't wait to eat my cake on my anniversary, or maybe a little earlier ;)

I cannot say enough to praise Leslie on her baking and decorating! We purchased a wedding cake and a groom's cake from Fancy Cakes by Leslie, and they were both absolutely perfect.

I was first referred to this company from my wedding planner. On meeting with Leslie to discuss what we were looking for, and have a tasting, we were so completely overwhelmed with her talent, the delicious cakes, and her enthusiasm for our ideas, we basically refused to go anywhere else. We knew she was going to be perfect for us.

We opted for a three tier wedding cake, based upon the one featured on the main page of their website. Different overall colors and some design changes, but we really liked that concept. What was really impressive was the Groom's cake. I had asked for a 3-D version of Tigger, in a thoughtful pose, surrounded by hearts. I provided some 2-D pictures, and a vague description. What she brought to the wedding was, well, in a word... stunning. It was the hit of the party! (And the Chocolate with Raspberry inside was a hot commodity during dessert time.)

I absolutely loved working with Leslie, and recommend her to anyone. I could only hope that you too can provide some inspiration to let her work her magic, and let her make you not just a plain old cake, but a true work of art. I will be back to visit her for whatever excuse I can come up with which needs a really cool cake.

Yummy, yummy, yummy and beautiful cake -- need we say more? My husband and I have total sweet tooths and really wanted the wedding cake to look good, but also taste good. Nothing too oily or heavy. Leslie did a great job. We went with buttercream (not fondant) and the cake still looked so beautiful, modern, and elegant, but still TASTED terrific. They arrived on time to deliver the cake, had lots of yummy options on flavors....really great choice! We taste tested about 10 different wedding cake bakeries in the area, and they were the best by far.

Leslie and her cakes are beautiful! If you didn't know, her cake won in the "Real Weddings" on the Today show (her site has pix of this). Not only are her cakes beautiful, they also taste yummy. She can customize it to your preference and will also sketch it out when you meet with her. Her groom cakes are also very creative...you'll have a hard time realizing the cakes are actual cakes because they are so creative. While her prices may not be on the low end, what you get will be equal or even exceed the work of those even pricier.

After visiting several other cake vendors in the area (and being treated rudely at 1), walking into Leslie's shop was a breath of fresh air. Her cakes are incredible - not only to look at, but they are delicious! We were extremely happy with her throughout the entire process. Highly recommended!

The cake came out so pretty everyone said it didn't think it was a real cake. Fancy Cakes by Leslie is the top in the area. It is worth the money.

Leslie runs her own cake business, Wedding Cakes by Leslie, and her service was excellent. She provided two design consultations, was responsive to our suggestions while being very professional, and created a beautiful, and most importantly, delicious wedding cake. I heard from many at our wedding that it was the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake they'd ever had. Leslie is a great cake maker, and I would recommend her cakes to anyone interested in a high-quality, attractive cake.

We tasted Leslie's cupcakes and lemon squares when my fiance lived nearby and so thought of them for our wedding cake since they had a gluten free option available. Our meeting with a baker was helpful to walk through the options and style that we wanted our cake to be. They provided a free tasting and we purchased some cupcakes to take home to have our extended family test out. For our wedding we selected three different tiers and a separate gluten free small cake, which all were delicious. The color of the buttercream frosting was slightly different than I expected but it looked beautiful. They offer a complimentary 1st anniversary cake, which we can't wait to try in a year!

My mother also booked a fondant-covered cake to match a Scrabble board through Fancy Cakes by Leslie for my bridal shower which looked great and was done during a power outage from major storms. Leslie did them at her own house and brought them to the dark storefront for my mom to pick up without any worry that it would be completed for the shower.

I have never really liked a wedding cake before. I barely ate at my wedding, but I had a slice of this cake and it was delicious. I didn't want to take it home with me originally until I tasted it and then I was so happy there was some leftover! The cake was absolutely beautiful as well. Thank you, Cakes by Leslie! Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! It came out exactly as we wanted. Leslie was also very accommodating in making a cake that met my dietary restrictions, even allowing us to try flavors that weren't originally on the menu. A few weeks before our wedding, I was concerned about the lack of clarity of some of the details on our order form, so Leslie sat down with me to go over the details of the design of my cake and ensured it came out perfectly.

Fancy Cakes by Leslie was the best decision I could of ever made. They made the most delicious wedding cake for our wedding. We also decided that we wanted to have a dessert table, she made hundreds of little desserts for our wedding that were delicious and breath taking! I will go back to her for any future special events that I have.
