Ellen is fantastic!

Ellen made my mom and I feel so special on my wedding day! She listened to what I wanted and made my face beautiful. She always had a smile on her face and was truly professional. Thank you Ellen for making a bride and her momma feel like a million bucks. I highly recommend!

Ellen and her team will make you feel and look amazing!

Hiring Ellen and her team was hands-down one of the best decisions I made planning this wedding. For some reason I had a hard time finding a makeup and hair team -- so many were flaky, not responding to my emails and calls, or really controlling -- telling me they didn't want to talk to my mom, who had questions because of a prior bad experience. After some searching, I found Ellen -- immediately when speaking with her I knew she'd be different. Professional, calm, and accommodating. She talked to me for a long time and answered every question I had. Unlike other companies, her team was always responsive to my questions. She welcomed my mom and me into her home for a trial, which made us feel so comfortable.

All of that is great -- but she is an amazing makeup artist, and her hair team was unbelievable too. I felt like a superstar and frankly, looked flawless in every one of my photos :-) I had a very diverse set of women in age, skin tone, hair type, and style, and they were able to handle everything. They made my girls look unbelievably glamorous while also retaining their natural beauty -- no garishness here, all modern looks, and no one felt unnatural (especially because many of my girls aren't heavy makeup types). Most importantly, the moms were thrilled!!!

As importantly, her team was professional and calm, and I trusted Ellen with anything beauty-related. They showed up five minutes early to the bridal suite and immediately got to work. I knew I could relax because Ellen kept everyone on schedule -- the last thing you want on the morning of your wedding is a hectic vibe.

Bottom line, I loved working with Face the Day and would recommend them to anyone!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Ellen and her team. She made me and my bridesmaids feel so special and beautiful on our big day! Ellen is so talented and really listens to the look you are going for. Not only did they make us look beautiful, they are so much fun! Ellen and Najeebah are talented and professional women. They both made me look naturally gorgeous on my wedding day as well as the other women in the bridal party. I didn't want my make-up to look overwhelming, but still be dramatic enough for the camera. Ellen did a fantastic job at hitting that sweet spot. And my hair survived the day flawlessly! I got so many compliments!
When you work with vendors on your wedding day, you want the process to go smoothly and have fun. These ladies were so upbeat and joyful which was a very relaxing way to start your morning on the day you are getting married. I would highly recommend working with Face The Day!

I got married this past weekend and had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Face the Day hair and makeup team! Everything about the experience was perfect, from the prompt communication prior to the event to the actual day! They arrived at my hotel room exactly at our planned time and promptly set up their supplies and their stations. Myself, 5 bridesmaids, and my mother in law were all completed in our planned timeframe. The women were professional, yet made us all feel comfortable and listened to our visions perfectly. My makeup and hair were flawless and held up all night long through hours on the dance floor and a few happy tears. My bridesmaids all looked absolutely stunning and my mother in law, who was hesitant about getting her makeup done and looking “too made up”, looked incredible and ended up totally loving it! I would highly recommend! They are fun to have around during the getting ready process and make you look and feel truly beautiful! Thank you Ellen!!

Ellen, Eve and their team were simply incredible- we had Ellen, two other makeup artists and Eve with two other hair stylists. They not only were amazing at their job but they went above and beyond. They are caring, helpful and incredibly kind. They helped me and my girls feel beautiful, and most importantly incredibly special and at ease. We had 13 adults (1 bride, 10 brides maids and my mother and mother in law) and 1 flower girl to work with and they did everyone's hair and makeup so beautifully. When my veil (which was gorgous however very heavy) was giving me some issues Eve and Ellen took it upon themselves to help me manage it. I cannot speak highly enough of them. The makeup and hair were truly timeless and we all felt so classy. It truly matched our affair at The Pierre Hotel in New York City

Ellen (owner), Michelle and Marcy of Face the Day are the bomb.com! I do not wear make up, so when I was searching for a makeup artist for my wedding day look I was looking for someone that had great natural makeup looks and Ellen more than fit the bill. She and her team provided makeup services for my 3/4/16 destination wedding in Manhattan,NY. I opted not to do a trial which as pretty nerve racking let me tell you, but once i decided to go with Face the Day I did a little research and found their YouTube page, Instagram and website and was comfortable (mostly) with my decision to forgo the trial. I initially booked Ellen for myself and 5 others and the day before the wedding called to tell her I needed to add an additional 6 people. She let me know that it was a possibility that she may not be able to get another artist to come with her on such short notice but she would definitely do her best. she called me back to let me know she was able to get someone and she would see me bright and early the next day. As she was doing my make up I had a great time chatting with Ellen, she is very down to earth and personable. She did my makeup and my mothers and I couldn't have been happier with the final result and all the ladies that had their make up done looked wonderful. Ellen you are simply the best and I would not hesitate to recommend you to someone. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!

I worked with Ellen and her team for my traditional Indian wedding. I searched high and low among Indian hair and makeup vendors who would actually listen to my desires and expectations, but to no avail. Ellen and her team were the completely different. During our trial run, she immediately put me at ease with her positive attitude, patience in discussing the look I wanted, and overall mastery of her art. She maintained a great sense of humor and professionalism at all times. On my wedding day, she and her team arrived on time and replicated the look we discussed. They also did my Mom's makeup, which looked fantastic! I was able to approach my wedding day with the utmost confidence. If I had to do it all over again, I would not hesitate to choose Ellen and her team to do my hair and makeup. I cannot recommend them enough!

I can’t say enough great things about Ellen and her Face the Day team. They are absolutely amazing! My mom has always been picky with makeup her whole life, I have never known her to like anyone’s attempt to do her makeup. She was miserable with her hair and makeup at my sister’s wedding and I didn’t want the same thing to happen at mine. Luckily, Ellen came to the rescue! My mom left her makeup and hair trial raving about Ellen and her team - I was absolutely shocked! I was so lucky to not only find someone to accomodate my mom, but my whole bridal party! My girls looked stunning and each of their looks fit what they wanted and their individual personalities. I was so happy with the results, and so were my girls! Although I didn’t personally get my makeup done by Face the Day, I know that I can speak for all 10 girls when I say they did a stellar job!

Ellen was the best! I used her for makeup for myself, mother, mother in law and MOH. All of us were blown away. She was very prompt and responsive for all communication and appointments. Her easy going and fun demeanor was something that all of us enjoyed that day. She as lots of experience and it shows, literally. Her makeup application was AMAZING. All of us looked so beautiful. If only if she could come over and do this for me everyday - sigh- Thanks for making me look (and feel) so beautiful on my wedding day Ellen!!

What can I say to fully express how amazing Ellen is? There are truly no words to describe how perfect my makeup was. Ellen is an expert in what she does in every sense of the word. I loved my consultation where she did 2 looks on me. I loved them both. Then, I, of course, kind of changed my mind and went with a slightly different look for the day of the wedding. Ellen somehow understood all of that (both in terms of being flexible and just in terms of knowing what I wanted better than I did). My bridesmaids also looked AMAZING. To be sure, I did not want to look "fake" and neither did my husband (girls who look too "done-up" is kind of our pet peeve) and that's exactly why Ellen was so effective at giving me the exact look that I wanted. She's patient and a perfectionist. I looked like the best version of me on my best day. It's a joy to go through the process with her.

She also has been extremelly accommodating throughout the process. When she actually comes to you in the bridal suite, she brings personality and happiness to the event. I genuinely enjoyed having her around. Worth every penny! I literally cannot wait for the next excuse that I have to ask her do my face again!

Ellen and her team were amazing from the start of the day. They took care of me (the bride), my Mom and my 8 bridesmaids--the whole team was on time, completely profession and I could not have been more happy with the results. The day went completely smoothly and both my make-up and hair were just as amazing as my trial several months before--I would say if anything it was even better for my special day. I was super pleased with Face the Day from early on in the planning process early this year right up until my wedding day. Ellen helped me to plan out a timeframe to ensure me and my bridesmaids were camera ready right on time. I would absolutely recommend Ellen the Face the Day team for any future make-up/hair needs for a special event or wedding. I never felt prettier!

I cannot recommend Face the Day highly enough! Since I was an out-of-town bride, I was only in New York the week of the wedding, but the Face the Day team was able to fit in my trials on the Monday before to accomodate my schedule. On the day of the wedding, my hair and makeup, as well as that of my mom, maid of honor, and aunt, looked flawless and stayed put for over 12 hours. They did a great job of listening to what we wanted and delivered the natural look we all were hoping for. Thanks for making us all look fantastic on my wedding day!

Both mkeup artist and hair stylist were promptly on time as promised and did such a fantastic job. Both the bride and two mothers looked amazing! Face the day were friendly and professional and were completely understanding and accommodating when we had to rearrange the time of the wedding and needed them to be here a little earlier on the day. Great value for money. Would highly recommend.

Ellen did my make-up for my September 2013 wedding, and from the very start of my trial run with her, I knew that I was in good hands. Ellen is a great listener, and after discussing what I had envisioned for my make-up, she created a really beautiful look. Wedding make-up artists in New York can be pricey, but Ellen’s rates are incredibly fair…and the results are incredible! Ellen used airbrush makeup for me and my party, and everyone looked flawless. Ellen was also kind enough to refer me to my hairstylist, who was equally fantastic. She made the whole process easy, streamlined and fun. Her outstanding reviews are well-deserved!

OMG!!! Ellen is amazing!!!! Brides to Be.. I'm not sure how to describes Ellen's work so I'll simply say. The day of my trial once Ellen was finished, I turned around to my Bride to Be and tears fell from her face instantly!!! Now if that isn't the seal of approval, then I don't know what is. If that doesn't do it for you, the day of my wedding was one of the hottest days in New York, I must tell you that my make-up was perfect that entire day. Still not enough for you. Welp! There's a final photo that was taken the night of our wedding (1:30am), can you believe people thought it was taken during our reception our. Ellen goes with the flow!! She's laid back, she's funny, she's on-time and bless her heart for lugging that Diva Kit of hers around New York to cater to this Chicago bride. What I'll remember most, I turned around to look at my mom on my wedding day and she said "you look like a porcelain doll, your face is flawless" Ellen Girlfriend... YOU ARE THE BOMB.COM!!!!!!

Cannot sing Ellen's praises enough. I found her after searching the net for MUAs who are experienced with Afro skin tones. This was very important as my party included shades of brown from the lightest to the darkest. After my trial, not only did I love the look of her work, I loved her vibe. On the day of Ellen and her assistant Cybil showed up on time (6:00 AM on Memorial Day way out in Long Island) and worked their magic. The makeup was my gift to my bridesmaids and they loved it. They all decided that they will be hiring Ellen when it is their turn to get married. We all got so many compliments. Honestly flawless work.
My favorite part of hiring Ellen was seeing the makeup she did on my teenage daughter (not too much but absolutely beautiful) and my mom. My mom NEVER wears makeup, not even lip gloss and had initially refused to get her makeup done as previous attempts at makeup had left her itchy and uncomfortable. I spoke to Ellen about this and Ellen advised me to try out some makeup brands for sensitive skin. I never got around to doing a trial run for my mom but nonetheless Ellen was able to do my mom's makeup with nary a complaint from my mom. She was beaming the entire day and looks so beautiful in her pics. My aunt told me that she has never seen my mom happier. Of course she was happy to see her baby daughter get married but I know some of her happiness was because she knew she was gorgeous. As an added bonus Ellen introduced me to the fabulous Diana who did my hair as well as some of the members in my bridal party.

Ellen and Michelle were outstanding! They arrived early (I love peole who value promptness) and immediately set up shop in my modest apartment, which Ellen transformed into a professional make-up studio, complete with chair and movie-star lamp. They were SO friendly (even my mom, who is very shy, could not stop chatting with them) and, most importantly, did a great job - they really listened to what we wanted (I wanted more dramatic hair and makeup, whereas my mom wanted to look like herself) and delivered! And it stayed all night (all I had to do was reapply gloss). Thank you ladies!!

It was such a pleasure to have these women work on me and my bridal party the day of my wedding. Sabrina and Ellen have such good spirits, they talk with you as if you have known them for years. I met with Sabrina for my trial run and it was such a good experience and she did an awesome job just from seeing a picure i showed her and taking into consideration that i don't wear makeup. When my fiance at the time saw my face he was speechless and i knew then, they were gonna be my makeup team for the wedding.
The prices are very reasonable, they are extremely knowledgable, professional and prompt. They know how to enhance your beauty without making you look like a clown. My husband was so pleased with my makeup on the wedding day he wants them to do my makeup everytime we go out! LOL.
Please use them for your wedding or any occasion these women are great, you wont be disappointed.

Thank God one of my bridesmaids recommended these lovely ladies to me. I contacted Ellen and she was so nice. I had a trial in June and when I went in Sabrina (my hair stylist) and Ellen (my makeup artist) were both really cool gals. So glad I went with them. Great spirits! Plus they made me look so glam! I tried two hairstyles. I brought pictures in and they made it look exactly like I wanted. I ended up going with my hair down because it felt more me. For makeup I had no real vision. I just didn't want to look so made up that I didn't look like myself. I wanted to look bridal pretty. I didn't even have to give Ellen much direction. She knew and did her thing.
The day of the wedding I get a call from Ellen saying her car had a flat and she would be late. You'd think I'd be freaking out. But I was calm and cool. I chilled out with my mom for a while in the hotel room and ordered breakfast and before I knew it, her and her team was there. They did all my bridesmaids, my flower girl and my mom for hair and makeup! These girls were all great! In fact, the day after the wedding I woke up with my makeup still on! Lol, I was too pooped to wipe it off the night before. But this thing lasted. They made me feel so beautiful for my day and I got many compliments. :)

I looked beautiful on my wedding day - and so did my mom and matron of honor. Ellen did our makeup and not only did we all look gorgeous, but we also looked like our natural selves. Ellen used the airbrush technique. I loved it! It stayed on all night, and, contrary to what you might think, it was really easy to take off. Ellen and her hair service partner were not only on time, they were actually early! Ellen is professional and courteous, especially to the photographers and videographers at my house who were trying to rush her so they could get their pictures done. I knew I wanted to use her services because she also did my makeup and my MoH’s makeup for my MoH’s wedding. Service prices are exactly what you would expect (maybe even less) and we all looked like a million bucks! THANKS ELLEN!!!

Ellen and her team cannot be beat. They made me feel comfortable during the trial and more importantly, on my wedding day. For make up, Ellen had every color under the sun and the make up lasted long after the wedding was over (thanks to her secret finishing spray!). For hair, Sabrina worked her magic on all of us and all the hairstyles came out great.

Ellen and Sabrina were attentive to my entire bridal party and we all had a great time getting ready together. I would recommend Ellen and Sabrina over and over again to everyone I know. They will help you look your best on one of the most important days of your life. It does not hurt that they are nice and super easy to work with. Thanks for everything, Ellen and Sabrina!

Ellen is an amazing person and gifted artist. Although we'd just met, she made me feel comfortable and proved to be an additional blessing on my wedding day. Along with being talented she is really a nice, down to earth professional. I looked amazing, felt confident and even more beautiful because the color palate she selected felt "perfect" for me. I can't wait for another event so I can call my new friend to enjoy her company and add that "wow" factor to my day or evening out! Thank you, thank you, thank you Ellen!

I don't wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis so when I had to find a makeup artist for my wedding day I was really worried. After numerous makeup trials with different artists, I reached out to Ellen. She was amazing. She made my entire wedding party look like models. We felt gorgeous. She was professional, and she was on time the day of the wedding.

I don't have one bad thing to say about her.
Do yourself a favor - hire her! You won't regret it.

For a girl whose idea of makeup was a clean face and a swipe of Vaseline, the idea of hiring a makeup artist was more than overwhelming!! After meeting Ellen for the trial, all of my worries melted away. She did not impose her ideas of beauty on me, she listened to my expectations, identified with my personality and helped me find the perfect medium for my big day. My makeup trial was in June and my wedding was in October! Ellen was reachable throughout the entire process, if I had any ideas, needed recommendations or input, she was available, and she even recommended a wonderful hairstylist. On my wedding day, October 29, 2011 it SNOWED, not flurries or shower, we're talking almost a blizzard! Ellen was early, professional and precise. While the makeup artist hired by other members of my bridal party was unreachable and suddenly disappeared, Ellen even made last minute accommodations to include additional persons not originally included in our plan. Ellen's contribution to my wedding day was invaluable. Thank you Ellen. I couldn't say thank you enough to Ellen for helping make my wedding day special ... everyone said I looked beautiful - and the terrific job of professionally applied makeup did the trick!

The makeup held up all night (including the lashes) and I felt like a million bucks! Her work is impeccable.

I highly recommend her services not just for the high quality of service, but because her positivity and warmth was a welcome addition to the atmosphere on my wedding day.

Ellen was a joy to work with, very professional and attentive to details. She knows how to bring your beauty shining through and know what works for you to enhance it. You tell her the look you're going for and she lets know you what's best. Also, she's just what you need to relieve nervous tension on that big day and I loved her relaxed nature.

Unbeatable- incredibly patient with a whole slew of ladies that needed their hair and makeup done the morning of my wedding. In addition, Ellen and Sabrina were fabulous about answering my questions and figuring things out in the weeks leading up to the wedding. There was a confusion about pricing which I only came to realize four days before the wedding. Ellen was great about explaining it all and working things out so that everyone could still afford the services. I also missed my originally scheduled hair trial and Sabrina did not hold it against me! I could not believe how patient and accommodating she was. Both my hair and makeup came out exactly as I'd hoped- I felt beautiful and glamorous the entire day!

As a bride I knew I wanted to have professional wedding hair and make-up for my big day, but I also wanted to thank and pamper my bridesmaids and Moms! Sabrina and her team stepped in and made sure we were all camera ready. There was me, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 Moms. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to do all of our hair and make-up in just 3 hours! Not only were they professional and came to our house, they made us feel comfortable and unique. Every girl had a different look from up-dos, half-up half-down, to beachy waves. The make-up was just beautiful and complete with lashes! Everyone looked absolutely amazing the whole night thanks to Sabrina and her team!

She's awesome and her assistant was soooo good to me! it's like having your best girl friends do your makeup. They were positive and upbeat and it was the best kind of energy and positive vibe to have around on the wedding day. I'm not a makeup person and neither were most of my bridesmaids. Ellen and her team did a wonderful job for myself and bridal party on my wedding day.

She was with me from beginning to end. Ellen listened to my group’s needs and desires and matched me with the perfect team stylists for hair and make-up for my wedding day. She has a great team with varying skill sets, and once you give her the right information, she is able to come through with flying colors!

Her make-up skills are second to none! I still get compliments to this day from persons whom attended my wedding or saw my pictures. I am not one to wear make-up on a regular basis so, I was clueless when I went to Ellen, I allowed her to work her magic on me for my first trial, and could not believe the results at the end. I looked natural but radiant!!! I had 3 make-up trials before Ellen, after her trial there was no need to look any further.

I wish I could carry her in my hand bag every day!

Flexibility was also fabulous, my wedding was on the day Irene hit NYC, within a day’s notice Ellen and her team was able to switch the schedule to meet my new and EARLY start time. The make-up lasted all day, through humidity and non-stop dancing! I went with the full package which included her team for the day; they kept us all calm and were fun to work with!

I would recommend Ellen to anyone who wants to have flawless beauty, on their wedding day or any special event. She is an expert at enhancing your existing features!!!

Ellen and her team are an absolute pleasure to work with! I had found Elllen on the internet through wedding wire and was impressed by how many great reviews she had! I decided to see for myself how great she was and booked a makeup trial ASAP. During the trial she made me feel comfortable and made me look like a much better version of myself! I decided to book her for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mom for the wedding day! Everyone was so happy with their makeup and kept commenting how the makeup lasted and how wonderful they felt and looked! She uses excellent products that are not only long lasting but capture wonderfully in pictures (I just received my proofs from the photographer!) I would also like to mention that it was through Ellen that I found my hairstylist, Clara, who was also extremely talented and did excellent updos on the entire bridal party, as well as myself and my mom! I would definitely recommend Ellen and her team and can't wait to have them glamorize me for another formal event!!!!

My wedding was on 5/22/11 and Ellen did my make-up and my mothers. She did a great job. My make-up lasted me till the next day. I cried walking down the aisle and my make-up was not ruined and my pics were beautiful. I had no worries with her. She was very professional and clear with the services and prices which I appreciated. Meaning there were no surprises or extra charges. I also contacted her for services after my wedding and I she still did a great job.

Ellen is awesome! She did my makeup and the makeup of my 6 bridesmaids for my wedding. Everyone looked fantastic! In fact, as we were taking our wedding pictures in Madison Square Park some random stranger came up and told one of my bridesmaids "you have the best looking bridal party I have ever seen" (nobody has ever told us that any other day, so I assume it was the make-up!)

Ellen was also a great person to have around on your wedding morning. She is confident, friendly, and relaxed...all things that you definitely want to be surrounded with on what can be a stressful morning/day! She was also very speedy in finishing so many people's makeup.

She was quick to respond to all of my e-mails, and was friendly and professional throughout our interactions.

Ellen B. did a wonderful job with my bridal makeup as well as my bridesmaids’ makeup! I and my bridal party are still receiving compliments on how flawless and fabulous our makeup was. I’ll admit I was a bit nervous at first because I don’t really wear makeup besides the occasional lip gloss and may a little eye shadow if I’m going out. And the times I’ve had makeup professionally done, it looked unnatural and I never looked like “me” afterwards so I was very afraid that history would repeat itself on my wedding day lol -- but luckily my fears were unfounded! My wedding makeup looked very natural - yet fabulous, and I didn’t “look” like I had makeup on. As I wanted, I still looked like “me”, but glamorous. And even at the end of the night - after 10 hours – it still looked fresh! I would definitely recommend and already have recommended Ellen for bridal makeup services – Thanks again Ellen! :)

I would definitely recommend Ellen. She's terrific! Not only did she work around my own idea on how I wanted to look for my special day, but she gave great input and suggestions that really came out looking beautiful. Because I hardly wear makeup, I wanted to look stunning without looking like I had on too much makeup. I had tried different make artists before my trial with Ellen, and had been unhappy with all the results. The makeup would either look like cake on my face or was over exaggerated. After my trial with Ellen I knew I was going to look beautiful for my wedding day without looking like a clown. She did more than a superb job, my face was absolutely gorgeous but not overdone; stunning yet simple. It was exactly how I wanted to look. The results were truly beautiful. Ellen also has a professional and enthusiastic personality so working with her was great. I would use her services again and recommend her to any bride.

I cannot say enough about Ellen B. Beauty! I got married in August 2010 and Ellen did my makeup and my best friend's makeup and we were both thrilled.

Before the wedding date, I did a trial and Ellen was so IDEAL for someone like me: I did not want to look super "made up," or like I had a lot of makeup on. But I wanted to look good too. To complicate things, I wasn't really sure what I wanted exactly (in terms of what eye make-up I wanted, or what precise lipstick shade would be best, etc.)

The trial was great. Ellen listened to my list of must-haves, as well as my "deal breakers" (e.g., NO caked on look). She suggested a few things she thought would work best in the photos, given the time of day and the kind of minimal look I wanted, and she did the trial quickly, and I was really happy with what she did.

On the morning of my wedding, Ellen came to my apartment (which saved me about an hour of salon travel time). I had decided to change a few things from what we had decided at the trial. Everything I explained I wanted was "no problem," which was one of the best parts about Ellen's approach.

Looking back on that day, after having used a lot of vendors for the wedding, I think I owe my biggest debt of gratitude to Ellen. Her ability to deal with the bad lighting in my apt, and to just....do her work in such a tight timeframe, was amazing. She even gave me a powder before I left to go se the photographer. My makeup looked flawless, and held up all day & all night. When I look at my photos, it hardly looks like I had any makeup on at all, other than lipstick. And yet, all my uneven skin tone was perfectly covered up with Ellen's effortless magic!

It's worth noting that as a general rule, I NEVER look good in photos. And I was dreading the wedding because of that...I just don't take good pictures generally because I'm just not photogenic. But I actually looked good! Without looking like I had a ton of makeup on. I didn't think it could go as well as it did and now I have such nice pictures for the rest of my life.

I owe it all to Ellen. I highly highly recommend her to any bride. Thank you Ellen!!

Ellen is not only talented, but an amazing person to work with. She made everyone look so beautiful. I received many complements about how great my makeup looked on my wedding and my bridesmaids all looked so great. Ellen also was attentive to the needs of everyone, making sure to be right on time and listen to what everyone was looking for. She calmed me down with much chaos that was going on the morning of my wedding in my very small house with my millions of bridesmaids. Ellen was by far a gem in a sea of horrible makeup trials! I had multiple trials with multiple makeup artists before my September 2010 wedding, and none of them were able to make me feel as beautiful and special as Ellen did on our big day! I found that a lot of the other professionals I sought trials with had their own agenda ("Do your eyes like this!"..."wear this shade of eyeshadow!"...."I think red lips would be fantastic on you!" YIKES) But Ellen was the only one I feel was willing to not only listen to what I wanted but actually execute it! She is incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and professional and I would recommend her to EVERYONE for ANY event. In fact, Ellen I have a Christmas party to go to next week, are you available? Please don't pass up an opportunity to work wit her! You will not regret it!

Ellen did my makeup for my wedding and some of the women in my bridal party. Ellen was great! Unfortunately I lived very far from her and she was super flexible in commuting all the way out to me with no problems. I had her come for a trial visit and she was very good in finding out my makeup style and figuring out what colors and shades would suit my face. She never tried to impose her opinions and offered various options from her experience of what would look good. On my wedding day, she arrived very early and was well prepared. While she can be professional, she was very down to earth and we got along very well which is what a bride needs on her big day. My makeup came out beautiful and she made me look like one of those famous celebrities with the perfect makeup!! I would highly recommend her to any bride who is looking for a makeup artist who is committed to her work and making you look stunning!

When I first met Ellen, I was very impressed by her flawless eyeshadow skills, her amazing contour shadows which was a big plus on my book, something that a lot of make-up artists forget to do. I was extremely satisfied with the way she made my lips look, I have small lips but she made them look fuller without the tackiness. It was very natural and perfect for my face. I knew I had to book her asap for the day of my wedding.

The day of my wedding I looked like so beautiful! My make-up lasted all night. She also did the make-up of my mother, bridesmaids, my mother in law and her mother who is 90 years old and they all looked stunning!!! I highly recommend her. I would give her 10 stars if I could!

Ellen was terrific. She came to my apartment to do a consultation and encouraged my feedback/questions. We took pictures and began crafting the look from there.

It was an early Sunday afternoon wedding with pictures beginning around 11 am. Ellen was at the hotel by 6:30 ready to start working! She did my makeup and bridal party's makeup all before 10:30.

Even though it was one of the hottest and humid days of the year, my makeup stayed put throughout the entire day of festivities. Ellen was a great calming force for the entire anxious bridal party and I could not imagine my fantastic day without her help.

Working with Ellen and Face the Day NY has been and wonderful experience. As a makeup artist she takes the time to get to know the brides overall vision and bridal party's comfort level with makeup. She is very talented in enhancing ones natural beauty without having an overdone heavily made up look. Face the day NY is prompt in responding and punctual. I loved how everyone's makeup turned out and loved the calm friendly atmosphere that they brought the morning of the wedding; no one felt rushed and they finished all 9 of us in a timely manner. I've had my makeup done by them 3 times as a bridesmaid previously and was sure to book them once I became a bride. I highly recommend their services.

While I gave Ellen very little notice and she realized that she wouldn't be in town during my wedding, she found an absolutely wonderful associate to do my make-up and also took care of the hair. People are still raving about how wonderful the make-up looked months after the wedding. ellen also checked-in afterwards to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. She's completely professional and wonderful - I would recommed her highly to everyone I know.

I loved working with Ellen. I know absolutely nothing about makeup and barely wear any, and so Ellen really needed to work with me to figure out a way to make me feel comfortable and beautiful at the same time. I explained to Ellen that I was having a daytime wedding and wanted to a lighter look while still enhancing my features. Ellen worked very well with both airbrush makeup and eyelash extensions, which were included in her price. Our trial went well, and I thought I looked even better on my wedding day.

Also in general Ellen was so much fun to be around. It was like having one of your really fun girlfriends do your makeup except she's a professional and really good :)

Ellen, Vanessa and the team were amazing! They arrived on time very early in the morning and worked wonders on me, my entire bridal party and two moms within our time limit (9 of us in all!). Everyone looked stunning and absolutely flawless. The makeup was perfect and held all day long, and everyone's hair was fantastic. We received so many compliments all day long, and everyone that's seen our pictures has remarked on how beautiful we all looked. Two of my bridesmaids told me that they plan to hire Ellen for their own weddings because she just did such a fabulous job with makeup. She made everyone look so beautiful but yet so natural at the same time. She also has such a down-to-earth and calming personality. She listened carefully to everyone and she was super flexible with making everyone look the way they wanted to while still maintaining a coordinated look overall. Hiring her was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding!

Ellen did a wonderful job on me and my mother's make-up. The hairstylist she brought listened to my vision on how I wanted my hair and executed it very well. The both of them were very friendly and fit in very well socially with me and my family which made the hair & make-up experience a relaxing one. I never had a hair & make-up trial but the both of them were able to use their expertise to enhance my beauty. I received so many compliments on how beautiful I looked. The services are quite expensive compared to other make-up/hair vendors so be prepared to pay. You can count on being beautiful on your big day.

Ellen did an amazing job with our makeup! The girls and I looked beautiful and they were really impressed with her work. She has a way of bringing out your best qualities and of course hiding your flaws. We all looked very natural and the makeup was not at all heavy. She's a professional and she's extremely friendly too! We all felt very much at ease while she was making us pretty. I can't comment on the hair services but I highly recommend that you hire them for makeup services. You won't regret it!

I met Sabrina and her team through Event Remembered (wedding planning services), and I am so happy that I did! Sabrina and her team spent hours making me, my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law beautiful for the big day. People say that photos are the most important vendors for the wedding, but you have to look good in them - which is why every bride needs to treat herself to hair and make-up from Face the Day. They use airbrush foundation, false eyelashes if you want, and even put in extensions. Everyone looked gorgeous from 12pm until 2am!

It was very stressful trying to find that ‘perfect’ make-up artist. However, when I did the trial with Ellen, I knew she was the one. I felt very comfortable with her and I just let her do her work. I didn’t have to be exact in what I wanted, all I said was I wanted a natural look, nothing over the top. Ellen did a great job! I loved it and would recommend her to any bride – she is awesome!

I hired Ellen for my cousin's wedding. I was a bridesmaid in the wedding and this was my wedding gift to her. I heard of Ellen through a friend who used her services. She came all the way out to Philadelphia and did a phenomenal job. Our makeup was flawless and I'm not really a makeup person. She stayed in the hotel and did my cousin/bride's makeup the morning of the event and she also was hired for two other bridesmaids. Ellen was timely, professional and best of all she listened to our preferences. She was also knowledgeable, when we had a thousand and one questions. I recommend her services 100%. I will be hiring her for my sister-n-law's vow renewal.

I loved working with Face the Day NY for my fall wedding! Although Ellen arrived a little late for our makeup appointment, her work and attention to detail were spot on--she listened carefully to my wants and needs and created a flawless, classic look for me (my eyes never looked so bright and big!). Beautiful hair & makeup

Ellen and her team did a wonderful job on makeup and hair (Austin) for my wedding. Me and my bridesmaids looked stunning the entire day! We looked as good at 11:30pm after dancing all night than we did at 8:00am. They gave us the natural looks we wanted, and we all felt and looked beautiful. Highly recommend!

I loved working with face the day for my wedding. They came to my moms house and did everyone's hair and makeup. I got so many compliments, especially on my makeup and even now after 6 months my friends still bring up what a great job they did as our glam squad. I had a wonderful time working with them, it was such a fun and relaxing day. I absolutely couldn't have been happier with how I looked at my wedding. I felt like I still looked like myself, but just a more radiant and beautiful me.

From the very beginning of my search I knew I wanted to contract Face the day to provide make up and hair services for my wedding. Although I was intimidated by the price the more I searched the more confident I became with my decision. Ellens professionalism and Calm disposition created a peaceful and dear I say laid back atmosphere in what could have been a stress filled morning. It was not and I know amEllen and her staff contributed to that. My mother is ill and no longer is able to care for herself. Ellen personally tended to her and made my mother look more beautiful than she has in years. The photographs of my mother from the wedding is just the way I want to remember her. And I am forever grateful to Ellen and her team for their expertise,patience and support. Face the day,was worth the investment.

Ellen and her team are amazing, they use the highest quality cosmetics that even my mother who NEVER wears makeup had no complaints about how it felt on her face. Airbrushing allows full coverage and light weight and everything stayed put through an entire day of laughing, smiling, crying and dancing. She's calm, organized and efficient getting through an entire wedding party with ease and with close regard to a timeline (and important factor!). She works with all different skin tones and you will look flawless on your big day.

When searching for a hair & makeup vendor, I was really impressed with Face the Day’s portfolio. Their website includes photos a diverse group of women - all kinds of hair & makeup styles, looks, hair length, hair texture, skin tone, age, etc. This led me to believe that these artists are talented and that they could really complete any kind of look on any woman. Very different than some other artists I looked at who’s portfolio only included one “look”. Their pricing also includes airbrushing and lashes for the entire bridal party, not just the bride. This was a huge draw for me.
The communication leading up to the wedding was a bit challenging at times. It took a few attempts to get a correct contract. I was initially under the impression based on emails that the owner, Ellen, would be doing my makeup on the day of my wedding. But at my trial, I found out that she was working another wedding that day.
On the day of the wedding, any concerns I had based on communication challenges immediately went away. The artists were on site early, and all set up and ready to go when we arrived. The ladies who worked with me and my bridal party were fantastic. We had Najeebah, Marci, Michelle, and Sybil working with us that day. They were all incredibly sweet, fun to work with, and professional. And they are TALENTED. Najeebah worked on my hair and Marci worked on my makeup. They truly made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself - which is how every bride should feel on their wedding day. Najeebah even talked me through some last minute nerves as she was doing my hair and noticed that I was starting to get very nervous as my ceremony quickly approached.
The hair and makeup lasted all day long. The airbrushing and the lashes are truly fantastic. I was so impressed with how long everything lasted considering we started getting ready at 830am, and the party went until midnight. Looking at photos from the end of the night, the entire bridal party still looked flawless!

I hired Face the Day for my hair and makeup for my 5-20-12 wedding. I was blown away at my hair and makeup trial (a few months before) and hired them on the spot. Sabrina was my hair stylist and she was AWESOME. Sabrina listened to exactly what I wanted and my hair looked amazing. Ellen, Sabrina (yes she does double duty) , and one assistant (sorry forgot her name) did the makeup and they looked absolutely FABULOUS. Ellen did my makeup and it was flawless, I got compliments all night! They were punctual and finished everyone on schedule (10 of us). My bridal party was impressed by their make-up and I was very happy with that I hired them for my girls as part of their gifts. Face the Day are not only professionals but SO much fun to be around, I really felt comfortable and special. I could not be happier with the services provided. You get what you pay for and Face the Day was worth every penny :)

Great vendor for makeup. Ellen brought along two additional makeup artists who were great. I had a creative black tie wedding so makeup went from natural to full glam to glam rock. They were able to do it all.

To coordinate with Ellen, you have to work with her mom-ager Inez who is also great. This comes with pros and cons in terms of accessibility (depending on you and your preference) but I had no issues.

When I went for the Trial, I was really pleased and excited for how I would look on my wedding day. Ellen's make-up is great and she focused on my eyes, which was something I requested. She is laid-back and easy to talk with. She was flexible and did meet my needs. She had Clara, her hairstylist, do my hair, which I also fell in love with at the trial.

However, everything was so wonderful and dandy at the trial, but when my wedding day came: issues!!!!! My face make-up was gorgeous, but I also used airbrush on my back and chest, and this was not worth the money because I still saw what I did not want to see on my body in pictures! This also happened with my maid of honors, who also used the body airbrush. It was so expensive. I was charged left and right for little things like her parking!!!! I HAD to pay for her garage parking when I warned her in the first place about alternative side parking. I had to pay for early arrival, too! Too many hidden fees! The worst part was that my HAIR was NOT the way it looked at my trial, which by the way I had to pay for, too. Clara did a rushed job on it and kept complaining to me on my wedding day how my bangs were too short and why did I cut it blah blah blah. She was such in a rush because she had something else to do after her job at my house that I just wanted her to leave. This was the only vendor I was not happy with during my wedding. I regret not researching my make-up/hairstylist vendors.
