  Highly Recommend!

  I highly recommend Emily at Face Forward! I did my bridal makeup trial with Emily earlier this year and she did an excellent job doing my makeup just like I had shown in my inspo pic. She also gave helpful skincare recommendations to make sure my skin was in great shape on the big day. This past weekend, Emily arrived at our wedding venue on time and was ready to go right at our scheduled time (might’ve even been 5-10 min earlier!). Our makeup all looked fabulous and Emily was very patient as our photographer asked for specific makeup shots. What really stood out about Emily is (1) how comfortable she makes others feel around her, (2) the touch up kit she gave me with oil blotting papers, lip color, and eyelash glue, and (3) she did complementary makeup for our flower girls (lip gloss, blush)! I cannot say enough great things about Emily and I highly recommend her for wedding makeup!

  Incredible makeup!

  Emily was incredible to work with! I needed help in a pinch last minute and she was flexible and made herself available to help. She was super responsive, and checked-in with me consistently (especially when I had forgotten to get back to her!). She did my makeup for my wedding, and I was absolutely in love with her work! I felt beautiful and confident, and she listened to me throughout the process to understand exactly what I wanted. She was friendly and enthusiastic, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone!

  Amazing!!!

  You NEED Emily for your wedding! I cannot say enough good things about Emily and Brianna (and Jenna for spray tans, too!) Emily is professional, communicative, creative, and truly so amazing at what she does. Her and Brianna were so patient with myself and the bridal party, both leading up to the wedding and the day of as well - taking as much time as needed for changes, touch-ups and being so gracious and patient the entire time. I am not someone who typically wears a ton of makeup/had ever had my makeup done professionally before, and Emily made me feel so comfortable and had such great ideas for exactly how to approach everything.   I cannot recommend Emily enough!!!

  Emily, on top of being a complete sweetheart and all around wonderful person, is the most AMAZINGLY TALENTED make up artist! I was lucky enough to hire her for my makeup for my engagement party, bridal shower, and wedding. Each time I received countless compliments about the quality of her work and referred her to everyone I possibly could.
  
  From our trial and conversations she was able to create the bridal look of my dreams. She took so much care and time creating my bridal look that I truly felt (and looked!) like a celebrity.
  
  She made me not only look but also feel beautiful; which is so important to a bride on her special day. She exudes happiness and makes you feel so comfortable. Starting the day with her was the best energy to go into my wedding with. Her calming and kind demeanor, on top of her talent, make her highly qualified and I cannot express how highly I recommend her.
  
  On top of the beautiful quality of her work, her make up was SO durable and long lasting. She did my wedding makeup on one of the HOTTEST days of the year thus far. The ceremony was a 1:00 pm wedding and was 100 degrees in the church (with no AC) and my makeup did not run AT ALL throughout the hour mass! It also stayed for the entire reception that did not begin until 6:00 pm (include outside photos at church and venue). My makeup stayed from 12:00 pm when she finished through the after party without needing a touch up. It was such a comfort to not have to worry about my make up at all that day.
  
  Finally, I cannot finish a review without mentioning her professionalism. She arrived ready to go at 5:45 am and powered through 13 girls with her lovely assistant (who is also a delight and matches Emily’s sweet personality perfectly). She was on time (drove over an hour at 4 am to my hotel to get there with no complaint), organized (set up was seamless like she had done it 1 million times), had a huge variety of products (and the professional knowledge to match each girls desired look and skin tone), and sanitized everything between each girl.
  
  I cannot recommend Emily enough!!

  Wow wow wow

  Emily was everything a bride could want on her wedding day. She was flexible, responsive, amazingly talented, efficient and so much more!! She worked flawlessly with everyone in my party as well as with the person we had there to do our hair. She absolutely nailed my makeup, I could not have been more pleased with the work she did and would absolutely recommend her to ANYONE in need of some amazing glam!

  Emily is the best!

  Emily was perfect from the start! She has an amazing ability to be extremely professional and feel like family at the same time. Everyone loved her! She is also a total magician with makeup. She really took the time to understand what everyone wanted to look like and made sure everyone felt beautiful!! The makeup also lasted really well. Our day was 85 degrees and HUMID and I felt like my makeup was going to be half way down my face, but when I looked at it 5 hours later, it was as if I just put it on! You also couldn’t see any sweat on my face at all. My husband later asked how I wasn’t sweating at our alter....it was definitely the makeup!!! I would recommend Emily to everyone.

  Great Experience!

  Emily is fantastic. Throughout planning my wedding she was so flexible and accommodating, especially as my wedding plans changed due to COVID. She came to my family home and did a fantastic job on both me and my bridesmaids. Everyone had nothing but good things to say about her work. Highly recommend!

  Best makeup artist EVER

  Emily made me and my bridesmaids feel SO beautiful and confident. Her makeup skills are INCREDIBLE! Her timing and planning skills were amazing and I would recommend Emily to all of my friends and family. Not only is she reliable professional and responsible, but I have never felt so beautiful in my life!!!

  Amazing life saver

  Emily went above and beyond. I had to find a make up artist fast and she was recommended to me by a friend who is also her client. I had to plan my wedding pretty quick and was looking for many last min necessities. I could not have asked for anyone better. And on top of it all.... my hair stylist cancelled on me and Emily did my hair! Better than I could have asked for. A life saver. I can’t thank her enough.

  Wedding Day Make-Up

  My bridal party and I were over the moon and enjoyed Face Forward! We all loved our make up done for my big day by Emily. She listened to everything we wanted for our make up! Very outgoing, she even helped me wipe my tears! Loved her!!

  Best make up artists

  Emily was very responsive whenever I messaged her and answered all my questions. My trial with her was amazing and she knew exactly what I wanted right away, she even taught me how to put on fake lashes the right way! The day of my actual wedding she did my make up, my sister in law's, and my mom's. We got compliments all night long and our make up lasted all day, i didn't need to retouch anything throughout the day. the foundations she used matched perfectly and made my skin look beautiful.

She responded so quickly and the entire booking process was super easy! She was so thorough in our pre-wedding makeup trial and helped me decide the look I wanted for my wedding day because I had ZERO idea to begin with. She was so supportive through the entire planning process and the day of my wedding she made sure all of my girlfriends all felt comfortable - and they all looked stunning! My make-up was perfect throughout the entire day, long after dancing and a few drinks! To be honest, I was pretty sad to wash my face at the end of the night!   Easiest wedding decision!

  Out of all the things you need to book for a wedding, booking Emily for makeup was the easiest decision. Emily traveled to Portland, Maine for the event. Prior to the wedding, I booked Emily for my shower and a few other events. She is always on time, super relaxed and just gets it. Not to mention fun to be around before any event, wedding or not!! It’s important to note I don’t wear much makeup normally, so it was important to me that I looked like myself on my wedding day. She listened to my concerns and did a perfect job making me feel glamorous but still looking natural. In addition to my makeup, she did 7 other people and finished on time, without rushing anyone. She’s a true artist - scheduling Emily for your wedding, or any event, is a no brainer, you won’t be disappointed!
