When I picked up my bridal gown from the boutique, I clearly remember trying it on and saying to my mom, "Well, at least it doesn't need too much work". That day, we both liked how the gown looked on me but we seriously underestimated how much we would end up LOVING how the gown looked on me once Debbie worked her magic and perfectly altered it for my November 2020 wedding day. Debbie and Omi were a dream team to work with. Omi was so friendly and helpful in setting up the schedule of appointments to make sure that we would have plenty of time to complete the alterations. From the first appointment, Debbie's eye for detail was evident as she quickly started pinning to show us just how my gown was truly intended to fit me. That initial appointment was followed by frequent follow up visits to ensure that we would truly make the gown not just fit, but be an exquisite fit. Even after discovering one difficult area just the weekend before my wedding, Debbie worked tirelessly to come up with a solution and ensure that I felt my most beautiful and confident self on our big wedding day. My gown fit like a glove and I didn't want to take it off at the end of the night! Thank you to Exquisite Fit for making this 2020 bride feel her best!

Debbie is simply BEYOND!!! She’s an incredible seamstress and more importantly the kindest individual. I will never let anyone else ever touch another dress to do alterations!! She did my original wedding dress alterations and my dress fit like an absolute glove. She even went above and beyond by adding additional special details like swapping out the factory buttons for beautiful Swarovski ones. But more recently, she also saved the day when she completely fixed and redid my wedding dress that had been horribly altered into a top by another seamstress. The top Debbie created is STUNNING. It is everything I had dreamed and more. Her craftsmanship is impeccable and it looks like a completely different garment. She truly knows the CORRECT way to do alterations and her attention to detail is fantastic. The amount of sleep I lost and insane stress over this top saga was all lifted today after I went to my final fitting with Debbie. It blew my mind how she was able to meticulously fix everything, so much so that I couldn’t help but give her the biggest hug! She genuinely cares about her customers and this speaks volumes of her character. I would absolutely recommend Debbie to anyone looking for a seamstress to trust with the most important dress of their life! -

Debbie is simply the BEST. She's kind, professional, and easy to work with. She ensured my wedding dress fit perfectly and had wonderful attention to detail. She was also kind enough to alter my reception jumpsuit last minute, and did a fantastic job as well. I so appreciate her talent and flexibility. I felt beautiful on my wedding day in large part thanks to her work. Highly recommend! -

I could not be happier that Debbie was the seamstress that made my wedding dress perfect. Her attention to detail is amazing and I had no idea how much went into altering a wedding dress. I felt so confident leaving my dress in her hands. I got so many compliments on my dress at my wedding and Debbie is a huge reason for that. She was so flexible and accommodating to my schedule, which I appreciated so much. Debbie was very easy to communicate with and I would HIGHLY recommend her for anyone needing bridal or wedding alterations! -

Incredible Experience!
When I purchased my bridal gown from Bridal Beginning, they recommended that I contact Debbie and Exquisite Fit Bridal, and I could not be happier about that recommendation. Debbie’s assistant, Omi, understood that I am an out of state bride, and had a more challenging schedule than local brides. I was able to schedule every appointment easily. Debbie welcomed my group and me into her home/studio where she took unbelievable care of my gown, my concerns, and my wants/needs for my wedding day. When it was all said and done, my dress could not have fit more perfectly than it did because I took it to Exquisite Fit! I highly recommend Debbie, Omi, and Exquisite Fit! -

Debbie is the best!
Not even sure about where to start with Debbie. She is SO good at what she does. She welcomed me with open arms when I came to her with a sample dress that was three sizes too big, filthy dirty and had less than 2 weeks until my wedding (I was also out of town for the next 7 days.) She never hesitated once to help me. Her assistant was so helpful in coordinating my appointments and Debbie was already to roll as soon as I arrived. She altered this dress to fit every curve of my body and didn't let me take it home until it was absolutely perfect. Her services were very affordable and I truly enjoyed working with her. W -

Debbie is NEXT LEVEL. She crafted my wedding dress alterations which included restructuring delicate lace detailing - you would never know that the dress was cut apart at one point. It looked flawless for my wedding day and fit like a glove. Debbie is a master at what she does and I would highly recommend her for dress alteration services! -

Amazing Attention to Detail
I loved my experience with Debbie at Exquisite Fit. She altered my wedding dress, which was a simple fit and flare grepe gown. Debbie went beyond simply hemming at the bottom and taking in around the waist. The dress had cap sleeves, and Debbie expertly shifted the positioning ever so slightly to achieve a better overall fit. The dress fit me beautifully, and I was so confident on my wedding day. Debbie was always professional and kind during my fittings. She made me feel comfortable and confident, which was especially wonderful because of all of the stress of being a COVID bride. I highly recommend Debbie to anyone looking to get their wedding dress altered! -

exquisite bridal alterations did my alterations for my wedding. My Wedding was October 4, 2020.Debbie was so kind and so efficient at her job. AMAZING - Super Attentive to All Details
I cannot recommend Debbie at Exquisite Fit enough. Instead of having only 1-2 fittings, I had at least 5 different fittings with Debbie to ensure that every part of the dress fit to perfection. Whereas one seamstress I got an estimate from told me that my dress rippling in the middle was due more-so to my weight, Debbie found that the dress was simply too long in the torso and just needed to be brought up to get rid of the ripples. She spent a lot of time altering the back of the dress to get rid of a buckle caused by the zipper and added a perfect bustle so that the details of the back of my dress were not hidden. She was SO attentive to the small details (even stuff I didn't notice) and the dress could not have fit me any better. -

Debbie is the best and is an expert seamstress. I highly recommend taking your wedding dress or special occasion gown to her! She understands women's bodies and will make sure that your dress fits you perfectly.
After having my wedding gown, multiple cocktail dresses and several formal gowns altered by Debbie, I can say that I trust her 1,000% to alter anything for me. She has altered dresses with extensive beading/embellishments, taken them in, added bra cups, shortened hems, lengthened straps- and each time the work was immaculate, the dress fit perfectly and you couldn't even tell that she altered it.
I have gone to other seamstresses in the past and Debbie is the best. Even if I have to wait to get an appointment with her, I will wait because I know the dress will be altered correctly and be completed on-time!
You have enough going on for your big day or getting ready for a special occasion, leave your gown in the hands of Debbie and it will be perfect for your important day!! -

Debbie is the best! Erin from Luna recommended her to me, and I am so glad she did. I thought my dress fit pretty well when it arrived, and then Debbie made it perfect. She recommended several small adjustments that totally elevated it and made it perfect. I had purchased additional fabric to add sleeves to my strapless dress, and she executed my vision perfectly. She also did my sisters' and my mom's dress, and was happy to have us all come at the same time. It was wonderful working with Debbie and Omi! -

It’s amazing what a perfectly fitted wedding dress can do! Debbie is the absolute best at what she does. She altered my dress in 2017 for my destination wedding and people are STILL going on and on about my wedding dress and I owe it all to Debbie!
I purchased my gown in Atlanta and already knew that I would require extensive work. I’m curvy and the dress I ordered was just plain big. Debbie eased my anxiety before my dress even arrived and from that phone call, I knew she was my right choice! She worked with me through multiple fabric reorders (store sent wrong colors), my weightloss/toning goals, counseled me through family drama, brought my ideas and customizations to life (including me adding 2 last-minute pink veils I HAD to have), explaining every step along the way…ultimately ensuring I got the EXACT FIT I wanted for my big day. She even helped me pack the dress up for my flight to Mexico (We vacuum-sealed it!). My fit was so EXQUISITE that I danced the night away without a doubt in my mind! She even removed the sand from it when I got back home and touched up a few seams on my train.
Debbie’s attention to detail and creativity are mind-blowing, but her warm personality is what really makes her services shine. She really cares and makes magic happen!
I can’t believe it took me this long to review this woman! It’s actually quite shameful when I think about it...but better late than never, right? But seriously, if you want top-notch quality sprinkled with patience and passion - look no further!

Debbie took a dress, which arguably wasn’t the most flattering choice for my figure, and made it work for me on an incredibly tight deadline. If you are flexible Debbie will do more than you even know is possible to make a dress look amazing and work for your body. I felt like I looked good, for possibly the first time in my life, on my wedding day. I learned the value and importance of hiring an experienced seamstress and craftswoman. Thank you to Debbie and Omi for your incredible service. -

Katherine Sent on 09/18/2018Debbie helped make my wedding dress dreams come true. My mother had passed a few months before the wedding and I wanted to incorporate her dress on the big day. I was nervous to trust someone with my mothers dress, but once I met Debbie, I knew we were in the best hands.
She used the lace from my mothers dress to do a lace bodice, as well as a full skirt that was the bottom half of my moms dress. Not only was I happy with the clothing, working with her was special. She took the best care of my moms dress and I could not have been happier. -

All my fittings with Debbie were quick, easy and professional, but at the same time, Debbie is so sweet and fun I could've hung out with her all day! Because my dress was pretty true to size when it arrived, I didn't need a ton of work done aside from a hemming and a couple small tweaks (centering back buttons, tightening seams in the back, pressing seams, and steaming), but these small adjustments Debbie suggested and her attention to detail took my dress and my confidence to a new level on my wedding day. I couldn't have felt more comfortable and beautiful!

Allison Sent on 08/16/2018Debbie is amazing!!! I was initially worried because I purchased my dress from BHLDN and you have to find someone to do the alterations on your own. I did some searching online and found Debbie. I really didn't think that much needed to be done on my dress -- but Debbie had other ideas! she came up with fixes here and there that I never would have considered that made the dress better fitting and more comfortable. She clearly has tons of experience and knew just what to do to make me look and feel my best on my wedding day. I have seen other pictures of my dress altered on other brides, and I think Debbie did the best job out of anyone I've seen. She took the time to make sure everything was perfect -- and the bustle she did was absolutely amazing for my dress and stayed perfectly in place all night. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Debbie to any bride!

Ellen Sent on 12/07/2017I COULD HAVE MARRIED DEBBIE!!! I know I'm just saying what the other reviews have said, but I can't say it enough. Debbie was a god-send! Right away she was amazing. I got married in October and didn't get my dress from Kleinfeld's until late August (it was promised for early July...). I emailed Debbie freaking out and she talked me off the ledge, "I haven't lost a bride yet," she said and I cooled my jets. I was nervous/unsure about my dress and she put all of my worries to ease. Right away, Debbie and her amazing assistant Omi treated me like a princess and said the magic words, "you picked the absolute perfect dress for you!" From then on it was smooth sailing. Debbie is an incredibly skilled seamstress/engineer and made it all work right. I even brought my jewelry choices and veil choices to the fittings and she made the right choices for me! My mom doesn't live in Pittsburgh, so Debbie helped me so much. She even made sure I videoed the "bustle process" for my out of town bridesmaids so they could figure it out! I have a bunch of her business cards that I will forever pass out to ANYONE looking for an alteration. Thank you Debbie and Omi for making my entire wedding dress experience dreamy!

Nicole Sent on 05/23/2018When I picked my dress up from the boutique, my heart sank a little bit because it did not fit like a glove the first time I put it on. Having never been involved in bridal shopping before, I didn't know alterations are pretty much a given, and I didn't know where to begin. Luckily for me, at the recommendation of Wedding Wire and the owner of the bridal boutique, I met my dress fairy godmother, Debbie! From the moment I met her, I knew I was in good hands. The first visit was an overview of everything I would need done, and the price for each alteration was made very clear to me from the start. The entire alterations process took about a month, and was five appointments for me (including consult and pickup). I was able to easily schedule/reschedule online, which is always a plus in today's world! At each appointment, Debbie kept me informed as to what changes she had made to my dress since the previous appointment, and never made me feel rushed. At the final fitting, she made sure I knew exactly what I needed to do to get into my dress on my wedding day, tie the bustle, etc. Overall, my alterations experience with Debbie was wonderful and I highly recommend her. She transformed my dress from what I thought was ill-fitting and "just okay" to the dress of my dreams that made me feel like a queen on the happiest day of my life! -

I was an out of town bride with a tight travel schedule, so we had to do some long range planning to make the most of each visit. I bought my dress at Bridal Beginnings and immediately discovered that their schedule and alteration style wasn't going to work for me, so we found Debbie. She handled my less than stellar attitude about the whole wedding machine in stride, and fitted my dress perfectly. I'll never say I loved my dress, but she made it look beautiful in spite of me! :p And she added pockets, which I highly recommend!! I believe the cost was competitive, but I'm not really sure. One hitch was that on pick-up day she had gotten a little backed up and the dress wasn't ready; we waited in her comfortable living room for over an hour while the team worked to get things done. A little stressful 3 days before the wedding, but I had kind of anticipated this so had built in a little bit of cushion. Debbie works mostly by text message, so start with a phone call to get on the books and then move to texting!

Debbie altered my custom Justin Alexander wedding gown. I chose to work with her right away based off of her reviews. Debbie has an amazing eye for making the gown custom to you. She did A LOT of alterations and the end result was FLAWLESS. The gown was stunning and I felt beautiful on my wedding day, everything a bride could ask for! Debbie created brand new seams in the back of the dress which created body hugging curves, lifted the skirt to lay at perfect waist height, completed a lot of tireless beading and applique work by hand, reshaped the back of my bodice completely into a flattering V - all on top of the typical hem, bustle, and strap alterations. She has a true talent for making the dress custom - my dress was pretty much taken apart and put back together complementing my body perfectly. I enjoyed my visits with her within her home bridal studio and felt that each appointment was personalized. Omi, her assistant, was professional and made me feel like the dress would be magical if I moved forward with Debbie for my alterations - she was right! Highly recommend. -

Debbie is very sweet and friendly and the ultimate perfectionist when it comes to fitting your dress. My dress had several layers and I lost count of the number of fittings I went to! Brides should be aware that it is a time consuming process, because Debbie cares so much about making it perfect. I am petite and Debbie had to perform surgery on my dress to make it the correct length and not lose the trim. She did a fantastic job there. My strapless dress was not moving at all on the day, and looked amazing when I twirled!
The only real hiccup in the process was that my dress wasn’t ready on the day when I had scheduled to pick it up, which ended up causing a bit of extra stress the week of the wedding. She did have the dress delivered to me in time, but I wished she had just rescheduled the final fitting so that I could try on the finished product with her there to make adjustments.
Overall, I think Exquisite Fit is a great value, and Debbie is an incredibly talented seamstress. Her assistant Omi is also a huge help. I would just encourage brides to budget a little extra time and maybe check in with Debbie and Omi before showing up for your pick up date.

Frustrating
Up untill the last two weeks everything was fine. Debbie canceled our appointment 6 days before I was supposed to leave for my destination wedding. Said she get back to me on a friday and she never did. I then reached out to her Assistant on Sunday- I didn’t hear back from her until the next day. This was two days out from when I was leaving for my wedding. Debbie then texted me apologizing asking when I could come pick it up. I had zero availability up until when we were leaving so I had to go way beyond business hours the night before i was leaving. When i got there Debbie said she needed five minutes to finish some thing on my dress I sat there for 20 waiting for her. When she came back in with my dress it still wasn’t finished. She asked if she could drop it off tomorrow.. i had no choice but to say okay .
(mind you this is the day we were leaving) I only asked for her to be there at 3 o’clock she said OK I left without my dress. The day came I texted her at noon to make sure my dress would be there at 3. (Keep in mind she lives about 20 minutes away from my house.) She said she moved a client around and that she would be there by 3:30. Again with no choice i said ok. At 3:30 she still wasn’t there, i got a text at 3:35 that said “Left 15 mins ago. Slow going because of this storm” .. It had stormed the night before not sure how that played into anything she was doing but again what was i supposed to do or say. Debbie got to my house at 3:53.. Literally down to the last couple of minutes, the car was packed and ready to go we were just waiting on her to bring me my dress. Probably the most frustrating moments of my life. I think it’s completely unacceptable and unprofessional of her. I know she had some personal issues going on which she had shared with me monday evening that delayed a lot of her work nonetheless I didn’t deserve that. I paid her full price the third app we had. All together i think we had 8 appointments. That should had been more than enough time for her to finish my dress.
My wedding day came when I put my dress on .. it still didn’t fit me how she said it was going to. She was supposed to raise my straps so that I my breast weren’t spilling out, it was almost like she had never fixed it.. the whole day of my wedding i was pulling up my dress & tucking in my breast. I have wedding photos that look like my boobs are going flop out of my dress. It’s just really a shame. I paid a good amount of money and on your wedding day you’re supposed to feel your absolute best. It’s not like me to leave a bad review but this didn’t sit right with me and I don’t want anybody to go through what I went through because it was probably one of the most stressful moments. -
