Best decision of the wedding besides marrying my sweetheart!
Michael was an extremely valuable vendor at my wedding! I was thrilled with the level of knowledge, communication, and professionalism that Michael displayed. He tailored the wedding ceremony and reception music to fit our requests and was able to adapt the music to the crowd.
Michael kept in close communications with me to ensure I was prepared for the next event, and to discuss potential, real-time adjustments that would improve the overall experience. I leaned on him a lot to guide me through the planning. He incorporated his timeline with my photographer’s timeline to give us a thorough idea of how the day would play out. We even omitted several “classic” wedding portions (such as the garter toss and bouquet toss) that made us uncomfortable. Also, Michael kept true to our wishes to minimize the spotlight on the groom, which meant the world to us! Despite our omissions and wishes, he was able to generate a very entertaining environment all night long. The entire experience allowed us to be worry-free.
He is extremely thoughtful, dedicated, and professional. I was extremely blessed to have found him, and I will recommend his services 100% to anyone who approaches the topic of DJ, music, or organizational needs. Don’t hesitate to hire this amazing professional!

Michael from Expressions of Music was absolutely PIVOTAL in our wedding day!!! He cares so deeply about the bride and groom having the wedding of their dreams. He spares no detail, he was intentional, and he provided us with resources so we could be the most prepared for our day. I didn’t have to worry, Michael is an incredible professional who would do anything in his power to make sure the day goes right. He is creative, gave us ideas of how to help with the flow of the reception entrance (some of us are awkward and need help!) but without being pushy about his ideas! Wonderful DJ experience!
Michael was beyond professional, and was more helpful than I could ask for. Michael did more than a normal DJ would, and did his best to ensure that our wedding night went as smoothly as possible. Not only is Michael a professional who cares very much for his job, he was a blast! Excellent song choices, and helped make sure that the dance floor was as active as possible. 10000% recommend!

If you are looking for a DJ to hit every mark, extremely experienced, and 100% attentive prior to and day of this is your guy! Our wedding planner completely dropped the ball and had it not been for Michael things wouldn’t have went so smoothly. He picked up all the slack. Mike made sure to go above and beyond to ensure our day was special. He helped us with our day of timeline where his multiple years of experience had us optimizing our plan. Great DJ!!!
We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From the very beginning, he was incredibly professional and attentive. He met with us several times before the big day to make sure he understood our vision and preferences, which really put us at ease.
On the day of the wedding, he absolutely delivered. He played every song we requested and kept the energy up all night. His ability to read the crowd was spot on—people were on the dance floor from the first song to the last! He was not only a great DJ but also an entertaining presence who helped make the night unforgettable.

Michael was an absolute lifesaver! When our original audio guy had to bail last minute, he stepped in seamlessly and made sure everything went off without a hitch. Not only did he keep the energy high and the dance floor packed, but he also worked so well with our other vendors, making the whole night flow effortlessly. He fully embraced all of our quirky touches, making our wedding feel so us. And when he realized our photographer wasn’t there to capture our last dance, he went above and beyond—grabbing his phone to film the moment for us. That level of thoughtfulness and dedication is rare, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Truly the best DJ we could have asked for!

Absolutely fantastic literally made the whole day run so smoothly and no interruptions more than just a dj our friends and family are still talking about how great he made the wedding. One older couple even said it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding and everyone was having a blast. One engaged couple even got his information for their upcoming wedding he was so great! Everyone was on the dance floor. It was so good we even accidentally broke the bustle on my dress from dancing so much and anyone that knows me knows I don't dance lol we even talked about how great our new friend (the dj) was on our honeymoon, reflecting a day that goes by way too fast. He will not disappoint. I will forever recommend him to everyone looking. He even has lighting options too! Dj of all trades!

The Highlight of Our Night!!
It has been nearly two months since we got married and we are still receiving compliments about Michael and Expressions of Music!! From the youngest guest to the oldest, everyone loved him!
Michael was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. He takes on a much larger role than a DJ and by the end of wedding planning he was my best friend! His years of experience in this industry truly are invaluable. He thought of things before I could and always had solutions or ideas to provide. He worked well with our other vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly the entire evening. Having Michael and Expressions of Music at our wedding was truly the highlight of the night and something all of our guests enjoyed!

Many of my guests had come to me complimenting our DJ. Not only did he provide excellent music, but Michael went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Whether that was ensuring we had a plate or drink at dinner, or making sure my dress was bustled appropriately, Michael was on top of it!

Michael was absolutely amazing!! He was so great and easy to talk to, and such a huge help with planning out logistics of everything! He thinks of all the little details that can get lost in the planning process and is a fabulous problem solver when needed. He was willing to step in and help wherever needed to make the day a success! He had great ideas for our reception and made it so fun! Our guests loved him and thought he was great! His set up was great, and the uplighting and dance floor projection he brought made our reception space look even more amazing. Michael has done multiple events with our families and we could not recommend him enough- we are so thankful for him!!

One of the best choices we made for out wedding
We had the absolute pleasure of having DJ Michael Hale as our wedding DJ, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the start, it was clear he was a true professional who genuinely cared about making our day special.
Our guests were raving about how much fun they had and how great the DJ was. Michael was prompt, professional, and attentive throughout the planning process. He made sure to keep in touch and was flexible with any last-minute changes we had. It was obvious to us that Michael has tons of experience and thought of things we wouldn't have otherwise. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and would recommend him to anyone planning a wedding!
We opted to add the photo booth and would absolutely recommend it. Our guests had a blast and we got so many compliments on how fun it was (and how awesome the photo booth attendant was!). It was so nice being able to book all the MCing, music, and photo booth through one vendor; it made the planning process smoother and was less to worry about.

Michael is truly the best in the business. Before the wedding, he spent countless hours helping plan, giving advice and ideas. Not only did he bring our dance floor to life with an engaging and fun atmosphere, he saved our wedding day. Our day of coordinator had a medical emergency during cocktail hour, and Michael stepped up when no one else would to save the timeline of the day. Our venue completely failed us on top of it, but as the bride, I never knew because of his wedding expertise and experience. I had some of my guests ask if he was a relative who stepped in to help because he cared about the success of our day that much. We are so thankful to Michael and would recommend him to everyone and anyone!!

Executed our vision perfectly!
Expressions of Music was the most amazing choice we could have made for our DJ on our wedding day. Each call with him leading up to our event was extremely detailed, and that gave us a great amount of confidence in his ability to understand our vision and execute it perfectly on the big day. He arrived early to set up for our pre-ceremony music, had a great set-up for our ceremony, and kept our party going all night long during the reception! We had many guests remark about how great the music was, and it wouldn't have been the same without Expressions of Music.

Michael was fabulous to work with! He has a sixth sense of what’s needed. Played the best tunes. Kept things moving and was a very affordable option. Great looking set-up and he’s got it all-even Photo Booth, lighting, and a polished presentation!

Michael Hale is the best DJ you could EVER hire. He is so genuine and wants your wedding day to be what YOU want! I can attest to this as he answered my numerous emails with questions regarding playlists and timelines. He is not only a DJ; he assists in helping your wedding day flow effortlessly. He offered my husband and I water after the ceremony, communicated with the vendors to let them know when we were ready to do the cake cutting, first dances, dinner, and dancing, and he even picked up seran wrap at the store to help my mom pack the food away at the end of the night.
Michael is passionate about his job and he seriously is the best at it. He played the most fun songs and everyone had the best time! The dance floor was literally NEVER empty! I could not recommend Michael enough. He is AWESOME.

The Best Thing that ever happened to our wedding
Mike with Expressions of music is hands down the best you could ask for with anything you need. He was so dedicated and so willing to step in and help, when he did not have to do so. Mike made sure everything was in place at the right time and was there to save the day when things went wrong. I forgot my cake knives, he had a set. I did not have the sparklers I wanted for my "send off," mike had enough for everyone. He had hats, and things to dance with while we had the best night. Everyone at my wedding did not, but BRAG on how amazing and talented Mike is and how you can tell he has done this before. Mike will forever by my ONE and ONLY recommendation to you if you are looking for someone to provide with the best day possible. He has all his ducks in a row with every service he provides. Definition of Professional
Mike is the definition of professional. His experience in the wedding industry was evident from the first minute of our initial consultation. He knows the questions to ask and what’s most important on making sure everything runs smoothly on the big day. To say Mike is simply a DJ would be an injustice to the amount of effort he puts into his craft and his willingness to go above and beyond the scope of his responsibilities to ensure everything goes off without a hitch.
Mike and his team brought a photo booth to the wedding, which I admit I was hesitant about at first. However, it turned out to be one of the biggest hits at the wedding. He and his team ran it so smoothly and the number of props were endless. Everyone from the bridal party to the grandparents were getting in on the action! My wife and I will cherish those photos for many years to come.
Bottom line, the amount of planning that goes into a wedding can be overwhelming. Mike differentiates himself by going above and beyond simply being a “DJ” and works to understand the needs of the bride and groom, and how he can best be of service. I would absolutely hire Mike again and recommend that you do the same.

Over the top amazing

Michael was the DJ for our wedding in Clarksville, TN. He did an amazing job interacting with guests. We also rented a photo booth through him. Our guests loved the endless amount of props. I highly recommend using Michael for all your music needs!

Not just a DJ
I remember the day that I was reaching out to DJs & getting pricing info, seeing what all they come with, checking in on their experience and reviews, etc. when I called Michael, he pitched himself like no other. He obviously had done this a time or two before. From the first 5 min, I could tell that he was the real deal. We spoke for over 30 minutes that day, and honestly, he had me after the first 5. He took my business seriously, and it SERIOUSLY showed. He went into detail about how he wasn’t just a DJ. He told me he was a day-of coordinator and a host upon other important roles, and I won’t lie, I had small doubts wondering if he would really do all of that for us the day of the wedding. He did not disappoint. Wedding week rolled around and he was literally like our wedding planner. He had an entire day-of itinerary that started hours before the wedding, all the way through until the end. He brought up questions, formalities and fun things to throw in that I had not even thought about at all. If it weren’t for him, our wedding would have been an uncoordinated mess. He made sure that that would not happen. He was by us every step of the day in more ways than any other DJ would take it. My husband and I were in complete shock at the quality that we received. From bringing extra reserved signs for our family tables, to bringing a cake cutting set because we had never gotten one, he saved our lives in more ways than one.
When I was looking into DJs, I didn’t think that I needed to find someone special. I thought that we could get away with just any DJ. But after our experience with Michael, I am SO glad that I did not make that huge mistake. Our wedding day would not have been a success without him and we are forever grateful to have had such a kind and generous DJ by our sides on one of the most important days of our lives.

Mike went above and beyond to ensure the WE, the bride and groom had the best day of our lives!!! He was so picky about the small details from the very beginning, and right off the bat I felt like he was a family member or an old friend that I had always known! 😊 I was able to get a hold of him just about anytime of the day or night 3-4 weeks prior to the wedding! The music was great…mike was the life of the party and kept it going! He kept the focus on us the whole time and made us feel like queen and king! Got the Party Started
Not only did Michael do awesome with the ceremony music but the reception was amazing. I didn’t think anyone would dance like they did but everyone got out on the dance floor and had so much fun because Michael was getting the party going. He truly goes the extra mile. Micheal helped modify the schedule to make our grand entrance even better! He even helped my dad jump start his car when we found out it was dead at the end of the ceremony! I highly recommend Micheal.

DJ Mike was so wonderful! Truly made our wedding one to remember. I am so happy I stumbled across Expressions of Music on Wedding Wire. Music is very important to me and I was so excited to finally be able to have a party where I could pick most of the songs. After contacting quite a few DJs and not feeling great about any of them, I got in touch with Michael. He is the most professional and somehow still super fun DJ I have ever seen. Y'all my dad is a preacher, I have probably been to at least 100 weddings and Michael is the best one, no contest. Michael spoke with me at length about planning the ceremony & reception timelines, allowed me to send a detailed playlist of the music I wanted to play, and so much more. If you have an idea of what DJ services should cost just go ahead and hire Michael he was worth every penny and then some! I can't imagine how much time and energy he put into making everything run smoothly. I was very happy with how our reception turned out. Michael kept everyone dancing to the very last song. He even dealt with my slightly (very) intoxicated bridesmaids wanting him to change my music, which I am very grateful for. He also provided uplighting that really set the mood in our venue, which would have been pretty dark without it. We are both so grateful to have found Expressions of Music to make our wedding ceremony and reception so perfect! If you are in the Nashville area, you will not find a better DJ, especially not for such a great price!

Wow!! Worth his weight in gold
Mike contacted me initially, which was actually while i was in the process of booking another DJ for my wedding. It had been difficult for me to find a DJ that is responsive, so it was nice for a DJ to actually reach out to me first! On the phone with Mike, he blew me away with his sheer professionalism and organization, which is exactly what you need when planning a stressful wedding. Usually i take a few days to speak with different vendors to see which is the best option for me, but i couldn’t help but to book him during the first conversation. He truly is the glue that held together my wedding and the order of events. He consistently kept on top of everything and really provides main support to the entire event. I really think that without Mike my wedding and reception wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did. He has great flexibility with requests and whatever you need from him. He also provides really cool ideas to add to the reception too. Genuinely worth every penny. He also has a photo booth and allowed us to make a package with it :-) If you’re looking for someone who will take an immense amount of stress off your shoulders, show nothing but utter professionalism, and is excellent at communicating and organization... Mike is your guy!!!!

This review is long over due! As we’re finally getting settled back into every day life and have had time to reminisce on everything that made our wedding day special… Michael and his company definitely come to mind. Michael is extremely friendly and professional and helped to make our day memorable. From our consultation meeting to the actual day he was attentive and informative and answered every one of my million questions. As a bride with an OCD problem I wanted to make sure every detail was just right. The mirror photo booth is unique and Michael has enough props for everyone! He held down the fort and was attentive all night while our guests were taking photos and was on deck if people wanted a redo! He was generous with photo prints and made sure no one left empty handed! The quality of photos and backdrop options was perfect as well! We would definitely book with Michael for future events!

DJ Mike made our wedding perfect!
DJ Mike went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was special and that the entire crowd had an absolute blast. He had props to make the kids happy (little guitars, microphones, etc, he had light up glasses for the bridal party to send us off, and the music was on point all night. He was willing to do whatever was necessary to keep the guests smiling/laughing. We also added uplighting and that made the venue look that much more special. We originally had a different DJ but had difficulties with him, and Mike came in and saved the day. We will never forget DJ Mike being a huge part of our wedding! -Parker & Allie

There is not enough words to describe how amazing he is!!!
First of all the communication was excellent during the planning process. Michael was great with email, text, and voice calls. He was quick to answer any questions we had. He kept everything in order for us and followed our timeline. I had choked up with mom&son song and he saved me! Our ceremony music was played perfectly. The reception was amazing. Michael kept us entertained and our guests stayed on the dance floor the entire night which is surprising, considering how conservative they all are! He went above beyond to entertain our entire wedding night make it huge excitement for us all. Huge hit! It was nice to reflect back on the night with the amazing music with everyone’s fun dances. Expressions Of Music was wonderful to work with. Mike was so organized. He helped us build a timeline for the wedding and also a timeline for all of the reception events, which helped the evening run so smoothly. We did not need an event planner because Mike took care of it all. He worked with the venue and other vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. He kept everyone calm and put out small fires while the bridal party and parents were otherwise busy with wedding day happenings. He had great suggestions for the set up of the reception hall that helped the flow of traffic during the evening. He even pitched in to help pour the champagne for the toast to the bride and groom! His music transitions were seamless during both the ceremony and the reception. He kept our guests engaged with his music selections and kept the dance floor busy all night. Mike is very talented and a true professional. You will not be disappointed if you choose this DJ!

You definitely can't go wrong picking Michael for your wedding DJ. He made sure the bride and groom got the music they wanted to hear as well as music for all guest of all ages to enjoy. He is very knowledgeable about what works so listen to his suggestions, tell him what your dreams are and he will help you put it all together and make it a beautiful day.
You will definitely want to get his mirror photo booth. Your guest will go wild using the booth and you will have so many memories to enjoy when you go back and look at the photos you and your guest have taken.

Where to start....?! Well first off, Mike is amazing!! He was the first and only one that chatted with me on the phone about my expectations for my wedding and cared enough to want to know my hopes and dreams for my wedding. I can not even put into words how awesome it was to work with Michael! If you are anything like me, and have no idea how to plan a wedding, this is your guy! He was so helpful from the first day we spoke until the very last minute of our wedding. Outstanding customer service and fantastic photo booth!
I'm in the wedding business myself as a DJ, and we hired Expressions of Music to provide a photo booth for one of our wedding clients. I've worked at hundreds of weddings, and I can confidently say that they are absolutely FANTASTIC.
Our photo booth attendant, Michael, was there well before our scheduled setup time. He set up a beautiful Magic Mirror booth with dozens and dozens of different props - two whole tables full!
He was so professional, responsive, and easy to work with. He even helped us with some random items we needed for a game during the reception.
It's clear that Michael cares about his clients and is passionate about what he does. I never felt nickel and dimed and he was one vendor we had zero worries about.
From another wedding DJ, I highly recommend Expressions of Music - go hire them!!

Hire DJ Michael Hale!
We absolutely loved working with DJ Michael Hale - he was incredibly professional, and paid attention to every detail... not just music related! When it came time to cut the cake, we knew both of our Mom's wanted to be a part of it and they were almost going to miss it... Mike went over to grab both of them to make sure they could be a part of that moment. He also has a really cool online service where you can pick your "play", "do not play", and "play by request only" songs for your reception. We would 10/10 recommend working with DJ Michael Hale Yeah.

The best service and so much fun!
Michael was amazing and so much fun during our wedding. The props were amazing and all of our guests wouldnt stop talking about how great our Photobooth was. I especially loved how everyone involved in a picture got a copy of the photo. 10/10 would recommend Michael and this company for any event. Best DJ Ever!
Michael was the best DJ I’ve ever seen. My wedding was nearly three months ago and I am still getting compliments from my guests about the DJ. Due to Covid, my venue fell through 3 weeks before the wedding and I had to replan almost everything. Therefore, I wasn’t able to prepare the songs I wanted played. Michael made that seem like no big deal! He came prepared with tried and true songs and got all of my guest dancing—old and young! Also, it was pouring rain on my wedding and it was outdoor only. He didn’t just bring a tent for his station, but he also covered my food vendor table as well! Whatever we needed, he magically had. Our wedding turned out perfect, and Michael was a huge reason why. Don’t look any further for a DJ. He’s the real deal!

Life saver for a wedding planned in 3 weeks
We planned our wedding in three weeks and I don’t think it would have been possible without Michael Hale. He was fairly priced and he helped not only with the music, but also with the scheduling of our big day to make sure everything went smoothly. The guests were entertained all night and many told me that out of all of the weddings they have been to recently, ours had the best DJ. Would definitely recommend!

Greatest decision I could have made!
Expressions of Music was recommended by the venue I chose to have my sons wedding and it was the best decision I could have made. Michael was awesome and made the whole event come together for a very memorable day for everyone. He was more than a DJ. He made sure everyone had a great time.

A beautiful wedding
Mike d.jayed my daughters wedding, he went above and beyond what we expected. He made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Expressions of music is simply the best! Since our wedding, we have had numerous inquiries about expressions of music because of the outstanding Dj that he is! He is so thorough, and will help in fine tuning all of the details to make your event the absolute best it can be! I can’t say enough wonderful things about expressions of music!
I mean... what other DJ brings back up flower girls baskets, toasting glasses, and cake serving utensils as a back up in case you forgot something? He is absolutely wonderful, and will make sure that the dance floor is full of people! He even led the electric slide for those who didn’t know how to do it at me wedding! Fifth Third Bank has had the pleasure of working with DJ Michael Hale “Yeah” from Expressions of Music for a number of events over the last several years. My market, specifically, held an award show in February and we could not be more thrilled with his performance. Multiple attendees gave him rave reviews.
Michael not only knows how to entertain a crowd, but he is talented at engaging them, as well. In addition to playing upbeat music and theme-appropriate sound effects, he hosted trivia and a fashion show, announced award presenters, filled the room with uplighting, and bantered with me as co-host. He is creative and his quick wit shines.
Prior to our event, Michael contacted us several times to review show flow. He maintained communication and professionalism throughout the entire process.
Several teams within Fifth Third select Michael as their professional DJ and it is easy to see why. His years of experience and engaging demeanor make him the perfect choice for any event.

Michael went above and beyond. He was more prepared and helpful than the day of wedding coordinator I hired. He was so easy to work with. A friend of mine recommended him saying he “made” her wedding. I have to agree. He helped my husband and I and our families focus on the joy and love of the day rather than the timelines and to do lists of the night.

Thorough and Kind!
Michael Hale is a wonderful tool for the brides that worry a lot about logistics. I was scared to death to see my wedding play out, for I was afraid I had left something off or lacked something essential. He was patient and thorough about making sure our needs were met, all while ensuring our guests had the best time at the wedding. Would recommend as a DJ or as a wedding consultant, excels in both fields!

Wonder Wedding DJ!!

Expressions Of Music/Michael was the DJ for my high school reunion last Fall. As soon as we found out our daughter was getting married, I knew exactly who I wanted to hire to be the DJ at her wedding. Michael goes far and beyond the call of duty. He truly made the reception awesome and he is so professional and nice. If you have to skimp on anything for your wedding, don't skimp on the DJ. They can truly be the difference between a wonderful and fun reception and a really boring one. At least that applies to Michael of Expressions Of Music. He truly is more than a DJ. Michael was AWESOME!! He played the music we selected plus some of his own choices which were a perfect fit. Michael provided lighting and kept the party going providing some Top Hats, blow up guitars, and other musical party favors. Michael, also took music requests, took pictures, and just kept the party alive! I must say Michael “Hale Yeah” was the PERFECT DJ and I will be sure to recommend him to all my friends and family. Awesome job, Michael!!! Thank you for being a part of my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary party.

The most amazing DJ I have ever worked with! Michael absolutely made our reception. He definitely knows how to keep a crowd happy and entertained. I’ve had multiple people compliment the DJ and say that it was the best wedding reception they’ve been to.
