Excellent! A Day Saver!

Carmen was amazing!! She literally was saving the day left and right. We had our wedding at the Hotel Maya, and we used the included day of coordinator package. Carmen utilized her time so well and made sure that every detail went smoothly. She helped us with everything from putting on the boutonnières to helping bustle my dress.

My husband and I can't thank Carmen and her team enough for helping to make our wedding rehearsal and wedding day perfect! Carmen helped to keep us organized with preparation and the day of in every detail. I HIGHLY recommend all brides to hire a day-of coordinator. It made the day so much more enjoyable, and reduced my stress levels. It's worth every penny! We had several vendors... Venue logistics, florist, bagpiper, Mariachi, Church, photographer, phot booth and cake baker, etc. Not only did her team execute, they went above and beyond our expectations! All of our friends and family have told us it was of the best weddings they have ever attended. Thank you Carmen for creating amazing memories that we will always cherish!

Carmen is AWESOME!!!

We could not have been able to execute our wedding without her. She was always one step ahead of us and kept the day flowing according to our timeline, but Aram and I always felt present for the moments throughout the day. We never felt rushed and we contribute that to Carmen who always stayed calm and friendly, and was both very flexible and firm in working with our vendors. She always made sure to check in with either Aram and I, and it was so sweet of her to bring us hors d’oeuvres and a bottle of champagne during our quiet time while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour. She stayed with us until the end and brought all of our miscellaneous items to our wedding suite so we didn’t have to think about it and was able to truly enjoy open dance floor with our family and friends. We highly recommend Carmen for your wedding and event needs!!!!

Anyone debating Expressionary Events, hope this helps. Carmen made my day 100% stress free, everything we planned together went better than I had expected! She was responsive, timely, friendly, professional yet personal and extremely experienced she thought through everything and made sure no detail as missed. We didn't feel rushed or like we had to stick to a timeline but still didn't miss any activities. She made sure all deco was how we discussed and all our personal items we brought or recieved were boxed up and in our room we didn't even have to remember anything just enjoy the day! #morethanworthit

Carmen was our Day-Of Wedding Coordinator and she was AMAZING! She came recommended by our venue and it's easy to see why. Ours was an Indian wedding and we wanted to a coordinator who was familiar with all the cultural traditions. Carmen knew *everything*! She understood all the nuances of the ceremonies and kept everything running smoothly and on time all day and night, which is not an easy feat for an Indian wedding! She also did little things for my husband and me throughout the day that really made us feel taken care of. The next day, we received tons of compliments from various family members who had interacted with her throughout the day. I highly highly recommend her!

My wedding was on 10.15.16. Carmen was simply amazing!!! She did such an amazing job with organizing my wedding. I forgot to get sharpies last minute for my guestbook and Carmen was there and able to provide my guest with some sharpie pens. She made sure that everything ran smoothly for my husband and I. Searching for the right videographer can be a daunting task, but luckily, our wedding planners over at Christie Rose Events, helped us choose someone who would not only get the job done, but do it beautifully and with love. The first time we met Kevin was at our engagement shoot. Him and his assistant were extremely patient when it came to getting the right shots. It was another warm and sunny day and moving around from place to place was not an easy task. However, we knew that we would be in good hands from the moment we began exchanging ideas and details either via email or telephone. Our save the date video came out beautifully and he edited the music in the way that everything just seemed to flow right along with the beat of the music. When it came time to work with him and his team again during the wedding, everything about Kevin’s work was flawless. At one point, the bride cried during an emotional private reading. His assistant gave her all the time in the world and never rushed her. Rather, he reassured her, which made her feel more comfortable. The comfort level that Kevin and his team created allowed us to be ourselves and he truly captured that essence in our video. Kevin and his team worked feverishly to have our same day edit video ready with such professionalism in time to show immediately following our cake cutting. He even provided our sneak peek and wedding videos ready to post on social media for everyone to view and enjoy. The relationship that we developed with Kevin, despite our brief meetings, is something that we will cherish for a lifetime. We seriously cannot thank him enough for not only being extremely talented in his field of videography, but also his friendship. We are gracious to have worked with him and plan to refer him to our newly engaged friends. Beyond that, we are planning on hiring him again in the future for all of our videography needs. Why? Because he is just that good.

Originally we were not going to have a videographer, but after some thought we decided to look for one. I’m so glad we did, after a referral from Alan at Great Officiant, we contacted Kevin from Expressionary Films. We set up for the recording of the ceremony, reception and photo shoot with PixieVision. Having a video of the photo shoot was awesome! Kevin and his helper took some amazing footage even in tight quarters around the photographer. After an initial review of the video first draft with a few minor changes and additions, we have an outstanding video at a very reasonable cost that we will treasure for our lifetime. I would recommend using them to friends and family for any important event. Thanks again Kevin for all of your hard work!

Carmen made our event not only spectacular but very personal and romantic. She and my groom were doing their own planning of a special detail surprise for me while she and I had our own plans for decor and invitations. I never knew about the surprise and it meant the world to my husband to give me doves on our wedding date! It gave me tears of joy as the dove represents my mother who could not be at my wedding. He promised me "She will be there, trust me" and they pulled it off! It was a such an amazing day and Carmen held our hands the whole way through. I never felt any wedding stress! I truly did not feel overwhelmed or frustrated, she did her thing and thats why we enjoyed our engagement so much! I gave her my ideas my vision and she nailed it every time, she took the time to get to know us and what we wanted not just played guessing games. I also had the chance to meet her husband and he of course helps her, he was kind and helpful as well. Thank you Carmen for everything!!! I will refer you anytime! I just feel selfish and want to keep you as my own little secret precious diamond :)

Carmen was a life saver! I was starting to lose my mind by the time we were a month away from our wedding. I asked Carmen when she would take over because I didn't want to anymore, and she said, "you can let go." Right then, I felt like a weight was lifted from my shoulders. She helped me out with so much stress! I was so over answering my vendors, and she was on top of it! I don't know how she doesn't lose her mind herself! Ha! She also made sure that the day of the wedding, everything went extremely smooth. She was on top of all of our vendors when it came to staying on track with what my husband and I wanted and what the venue required. She also somehow kept track of my husband and I all night to make sure we were there for all of the events of the night. Thanks for everything Carmen!

What can I say about Carmen... She is one of the sweetest people that you may ever meet in your life time. She truly has a talent for wedding coordinating. She has a special touch with amazing attention to details. She made my wedding come to life. She held my hand through the whole process of the stressful times that I had and set my mind back to clarity. I cannot say enough good things about Carmen because she went over and beyond to make my day truly become the fairy tale that I had always dreamed of. It didn't matter what time of day I would call or text her she would without fail always respond. Because I decided to give Carmen all of my trust my wedding turned out exactly how I had always envisioned it if not better. Everything was like a breeze on the day of my wedding because I had an angel literally flying around and taking care of everything. I didn't have to worry about anything. She literally took care of everything from holding my dress for my first look to bringing me a drink to calm my nerves just before walking down to become a Mrs. There was no task that was not complete. She took her time to make sure that my wedding was everything I wanted. I couldn't be happier that I chose her to be my fairy godsister the day of my wedding. I am lucky to have been so blessed to have had her my wedding coordinator. If I were talking to any of my friends who are deciding to get married I would recommend Carmen and Expressionary Events in a heart beat. She was the best investment that I ever made for my happily ever after.

I couldn't of asked for a better planner. I love google; which is where I found her. She was on time for every meeting we had , unlike us , and was very patient with us when we were late. Our wedding was beautiful, gorgeous and perfect and all the vendors she recommended from RLP Graphics (pictures) Oh La La flowers, Cakes to Celebrate , Luxury DJ, just to name a few were great. The entire wedding flowed so smoothly and everything we had planned out happend exactly when it was suppose to especially because she is very organized and had a timeline we had to follow . Our invitations , save the dates , and special touches Carmen added were more than we could of asked for . Totally worth the money. Thank you and Kevin so much for everything.

We cannot express enough how big of a role Carmen played in taking the stress off of us before and on our Wedding day. Carmen and her team went above and beyond to make sure all the details of our Wedding were exactly how we envisioned them and so much more. From our first meeting forward, she took our ideas, and added valuable input of her own based on her experience to made our Ceremony + Reception truly memorable. We even received numerous comments from our family and guests about how on-the-ball Carmen and her team were. Our whole wedding day flowed so smoothly. Even if there were bumps, we would've never known. Carmen never failed to make us feel important and special on this Big day.

I cannot begin to express what Carmen and her team contributed to our destination wedding. From our welcome gift bags to my barefoot jeweled sandals to our photography to ceremony site to flowers... and everything in between, I could go on and on... Her attention to detail is second to none and not just for the big things, like ceremony site and photography, but for all of the "little" things that add up to be incredibly important in the end, like being a translator with our vendors (Cabo wedding).

Kevin did our photography, and we absolutely love what what he did for us. He was with us all day and worked tirelessly to make sure he got the perfect shots he was looking for. He's great with children so all of our 6 (!!) little ring bearers and flower girls allowed themselves to be photographed, and resulted in some beautiful pictures. I could not be happier with ALL of my pictures, my hardest decision will be which to blow up!

I have a very tough time making decisions and Carmen was able to guide me, step-by-step through the entire process and made it pain-free. It was raining on and off on our wedding day (we had an outdoor beach wedding), and Carmen was able to keep me calm and collected, I would have lost my mind without her. Through the entire process their team was upbeat, energetic, supportive and accommodating. Overall, their help was invaluable, and you can really tell the entire team genuinely and thoroughly loves what they do. I love them both and have such beautiful memories of my wedding day. I highly, highly recommend Expressionary Events. Best decision besides deciding to get married :)

I signed up for wedding wire specifically to review all of our wedding vendors. First of all, I didn't know what to expect from a "Day Of" coordinator. There are so many people in Southern California that want you to pick them for your big day. Carmen is the sweetest soul. She loves what she does, and therefore, she is incredibly talented. To choose a career in such an emotional field must be taxing. Finding her was a blessing. She never once made me feel like I didn't know what was going on during my big day. She calmed by nerves, she handled everything so professionally, and she put me and my husband's needs first. I never had to look for her during the day, she was amazing. I would want her at my side for any important day. Let's face it, I love her, and we can't thank her enough. If you don't select her for your wedding/event, then you're at a loss. Want to know how Expressionary Events is good? I was referred to them from another Event Planner! Carmen and her team are so amazing, it's beyond any words I could use in a review. Carmen was my right hand gal for the month before my wedding and made the transition flawless! She set up my decor just the way I imagined, wrangled both crazy families at the rehearsal, handled a DJ situation, and kept our day on time and running smoothly! Carmen was absolutley amazing! She was flexible and made herself availablr any instant I needed her, gave me great advice and helped me figure out a lot of.details of our wedding that I would of not thought about! Carmen was not only an absolute pleasure to work with but she is also incredibly talented and creative. I had a 200 guest wedding on a 13 acre private Estate in Santa Barbara and EVERYTHING ran smoothly and according to plan. Wedding planning can be very stressful, especially if you're busy going to school and working. I can't imagine having to have planned my wedding without Carmen's help. Carmen and her team were very easy to work with, professional, and were there to help us from the beginning till the end. They helped us plan our engagement party (decor, candy bar, entertainment), helped us create custom fabulous invitations (themed, with our colors), and even executed a fun filled bridal shower for our friends and family (without all the planning hassle). They also helped us produce a surprise MUSIC VIDEO that was filmed by the beach, which we got to show our loved ones during our reception on our wedding day. I am not gonna lie and say the "Big Day" isn't stressful, it is.... but Carmen and her team worked very hard to make sure nothing went wrong the day of our wedding. She was very organized and provided us and all the vendors with a detailed timeline/schedule to keep us on track. And I cannot stress this enough, but in the planning process, she always gave us options and alternatives to help us stay within our budget, while still maintaining the look we were aiming for at our wedding. Carmen also has a great working relationship with other vendors, which also ends up saving you quite a bit of money. My husband and I can be indecisive sometimes, but she was patient with us throughout the whole process. We couldn't ask for a better wedding planner :) I highly recommend expressionary events! there aren't enough words in the world to express how amazing Carmen and her staff were on the day of our wedding and the weeks prior to. Everybody was thoroughly impressed with how professional and how calm and collected and organized they were. Everytime we needed something, Carmen or her staff was there to handle it for us and it made our wedding stress free. We always hear horror stories about weddings and bridezillas and situations that occur and ruin the day, but none of that occurred on the day of our wedding especially thanks to Expressionary events. this review truly cannot do justice to how amazing the staff of Expressionary Events really are. There is absolutely no doubt in our minds that we will recommend them to everybody we know that gets married in the future. Thank u for such a positive and joyful experience! !!!!!

Carmen and Kevin did a wonderful job helping me with my wedding day. I can honestly say that the day of my wedding my husband and I were stress free Kevin took care of everything that day I didnt have to worry about anything. Carmen was very helpful all her referrals were great. I am so happy that I came across Expressionary Events. Everything that day was perfect they are both very professional, caring and flexible. Ms. Fuentes is a consumate professional and her execution of the Wedding Plan was flawless.

She is a "take charge" type which I truly believe is demanded at events like this to keep everything on track, while at the same time an absolute pleasure to work with.

Having Carmen be our event planner at our wedding was not only an enjoyable experience but stress free for sure. Carmen felt like she was part of our wedding with her warm and caring way of being. She always had a solution for everything and was always understanding and available at any time. I can honestly say that Carmen made my dream wedding be more than i ever wanted and dreamed of. Starting from every detail in decorations, to being very cordial and super friendly to all of our guests and us. She honestyl felt like a friend but very professional.That is why i can say that she was like a guest to us and not an event planner. She made me feel so comfortabke from the day we met and i appreciate every gesture and devotion she had in making sure we had the wedding of our dream. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Carmen made the entire wedding experience for us. She was organized, thorough, upbeat, and an absolute pleasure to work with. By the end of our first meeting, it was clear that she understood the vision that we had for our wedding. I found Carmen online and 3 things made me choose her company over others. 1) Carmen drove to us & met with me personally soon after contacting her 2) she seemed to be extremely organized and had an amazing sense of style and passion for weddings and 3) her website conveyed professionalism and I loved her pictures of her prior work. My husband and I both had a ton of little details that we wanted to see come to fruition on our wedding day. This could have been daunting, but Carmen was a master at translating our ideas into concrete plans and delivering above our expectations. Furthermore, she offered excellent advice and was incredible at troubleshooting difficult situations. She served as a wonderfully effective liaison between our vendors, wedding/reception site representatives, wedding guests, and even our parents. Whenever we had new ideas or questions related to our wedding day, Carmen was very responsive and always came back with great ideas and solutions.
On our wedding day, everything from start to finish was impeccable and ran incredibly smooth. Again, even in the face of immense logistical details that needed to be carried out, Carmen and her staff were on top of everything. Guests continuously commented on how smoothly everything ran and how everything was absolutely beautiful. I did not have a care in the world on my wedding day, except for relaxing, enjoying the time with my family and friends, and focusing on how amazing it was to be able to have such a special day to start my life with my husband. I enthusiastically recommend her to any bride looking for a stress-free and upscale wedding experience.

I LOVED working with Carmen. She was so helpful, she worked around my schedule, and she kept me from being too much of a bridezilla, which is difficult because I'm such a control freak! Carmen from Expressionary Events was my saving grace during my wedding and the months leading up to it. I cannot even begin to express how thankful I am for all of Carmen's help. When I first met with Carmen to see if she is the right coordinator for me, her words were, "I'm here to make sure the Bride is not stressed and all the vendors work with me. You just tell me what you envision and I will deal with the rest!" I trusted Carmen and she really made it happen. I had a large wedding of close to 280 people and 9 bridesmaids. Because of Carmen, I had the beautiful fairytale, romantic candlelight wedding I've been dreaming of. More importantly, when my wedding day arrived, I was able to enjoy every second of it and did not worry about the cake, flowers, lighting, hair, makeup, the limos, the church seating, the table arrangements, NOTHING! Carmen assured me she would take care of everything and SHE DID. Thank you so much, Carmen for helping make my dream wedding a reality! I mean this with all my heart. If I can make one recommendation to ANY bride, it is "GET A COORDINATOR AND MAKE SURE IT IS CARMEN FROM EXPRESSIONARY EVENTS!" She is extremely responsive, professional, confident, and more importantly, she puts the Bride first. I would like to mention that I had my wedding in Los Angeles, CA 2 weeks ago and I live and work in the United Arab Emirates and although it is an 11 hour time difference, this was not a problem for Carmen and she was responsive and ready to answer any questions I had anytime. After many hours of internet research, we scheduled interviews with four wedding planners who we felt could provide wedding day-of services. Our first and ONLY meeting-we were thoroughly impressed, so we canceled other appointments-was with Carmen of Expressionary Events. We were early, but Carmen was earlier. She was well informed, very prepared, highly qualified, and a genuinely nice person. Most importantly, she appeared to ENJOY the business. O.K., first impressions are great, but did Expressionary Events deliver you ask?

Quality of Service: We are both in our 40s and are not easily impressed anymore. Carmen and her team, which included Kevin, managed every single detail of our ceremony and reception exceptionally well. Expressionary Events provided us with an invaluable and detailed timeline of our wedding day. What we envisioned became reality!

Responsiveness: We had absolutely no problems communicating with staff. Email and telephone responses were returned, if not the same day, by the next day.

Professionalism: I actually asked our vendors about Expressionary Events' staff. All vendor responses were positve. Staff dressed in formal wear and looked like wedding guests the day of the wedding.

Value: Our research shows Expressionary Events' prices are very competitive. In fact, given the logistics of our wedding, Carmen added more staff at no extra charge. Reheasal was also included in their already reasonable price.

Flexibility: Carmen and staff did everything in their power within reason to satisfy the bride and groom. I, the groom, was involved in much of the planning process and can attest to the flexibility of Expressionary Events. We had a few unexpected day-of changes with the schedule. No one, but me and the coordinating staff knew about the changes because Carmen handled matters discretely.

In summary, many of our guests commented about how the wedding ceremony and reception proceeded smoothy and without any hitches. Carmen, Kevin, and staff know the wedding business and can definitely make wedding dreams come true. Finally, I can assure you Carmen and staff are good people who, when hired, will work their tales off to provide you with exceptional service.

From the moment we met Carmen and her team our first impression of them was that they were detailed, organized and professional. We assumed their packages would be expensive based on their quality of services, so when we were told their package pricing we were ecstatic that we would be able to afford their services. My fiancé and I decided to go with Expressionary Events’ full service package. Carmen was our planner and she was well informed in all areas wedding and was able to provide us with a spectacular venue as well as professional vendors. Carmen set up meetings with a photographer, videographer, Pastor, florist, DJ, and caterer, which we booked all of them the same day. The planning process was so seamless and relaxed. Carmen was always available to us and responded quickly with any question we had. She was in constant contact and was able to keep us within our budget with out compromising the look and feel we wanted at our wedding.

On the day of our wedding Carmen and her team provided exceptional service. I not once had to worry about finding any of my bridal party or running late. She kept us on time. The best part was that everyone had so much fun at our wedding. It was amazing to see the final product after all the months of planning done with Carmen. She was able to capture the vision I had for my wedding.

I was a bride who thought that I had EVERYTHING under control for my wedding, but as the day drew closer I was becoming more and more stressed out and that's were the services of Carmen Robledo stepped in. After meeting with numerous amounts of wedding planners I knew Carmen was the one because she was the most organized and was willing to be with me every step of the way. The day of the wedding was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Everything was perfect down to the last detail! Its not often that I take time to write a review about a company, but I feel obliged because of how much expressionary events did for me.
I was really hesitant about hiring a planner. Mainly because I was on a tight budget. After a short time I realized that hiring a planner can actually SAVE me money. Carmen (Expressionary Events) explained to me that because she has such great relationships with vendors she can cut out the “negotiating” and just get me the best deal possible.
I interviewed several planners and when I met with Carmen I felt like we just had really great chemistry. I felt like she had a great attention to detail….which is something I lack.
She was able to take my vision and bring it to life. More than anything I just felt like I could trust her with my wedding.
They made the entire event very a personable experience. I felt like they really got to know me, so they understood what I wanted my wedding day to be like. I was able to enjoy the day of my wedding because I felt like the details were being handled by my “fairy god planners.” I have recommended them to all of my friends, and will continue to do so.

Carmen with Expressionary Events was absolutely wonderful to work with in planning and day of coordination for our Long Beach wedding. We planned our wedding from out of town and she made an effort to meet with us and our venue coordinator in advance to ensure planning went smoothly from the beginning. She had wonderful ideas and suggestions and was also extremely open to our own agenda, she really LISTENED to us, which was much appreciated.
The moment when I realized just how grateful I was for Carmen was the morning of our wedding when it POURED! We had scheduled a morning wedding with both ceremony and reception OUTSIDE, we had to push the ceremony by 45 minutes, changes the venue location last minute, coordinate with catering and all other vendors, communicate with our 90 guests…it was chaos. But Carmen’s expertise and professionalism through the whole thing was the glue that kept everything together. During the last minute venue change she FaceTimed me with multiple options on the property (as I was busy getting hair/makeup done and couldn’t really leave the room, not to mention it was still POURING), she even moved the ceremony site a SECOND time just because the clouds broke and the rain cleared approximately 20 minutes prior to our wedding! Throughout the whole thing she consulted with me and my husband with understanding, a strong sense of direction and good sense of humor (which was priceless in that moment). Our day turned out very different then we had envisioned and planned for, however as I walked down the aisle, seeing our “new” venue for the first time in person, I was at peace and in awe of the beauty of everything.
Carmen literally saved our day and I don’t know what we would have done without her. She is fun and friendly to work with and also knows the industry well, which is nice when you have a million questions and a vision without the words to describe it, she gets it all☺

My husband encouraged me to hire a day of coordinator so that I can relax and enjoy our special day.
After meeting Carmen for the first time, I knew I wanted her to be my day of coordinator. She is warm hearted, easy to be around, creative, and detail oriented. It was such a relief to have her and her team making sure things moved along mostly perfect on our special day. On the day of our wedding, I really appreciate how she kept checking in with us in regards to the flow of our event, and keeping us to the timeline. My favorite thing is how her team put together the decorations I wanted set up at the reception venue. It was absolutely beautiful and even more romantic than I imagined.
I will certainly recommend Carmen to others who need a great coordinator.

I am so thankful for Carmen at Expressionary Events! Carmen really helped my husband and me come up with a vision for what we wanted for the wedding (we had no clue about themes, colors, etc.). She brought to our attention things we would never think of that were wedding related. She also introduced us to several of our vendors who we absolutely loved (and she also attended meetings with us to offer much appreciated input). On the day of the wedding, Carmen was on top of everything! I didn’t have to worry about anything. She made sure all of the vendors were organized and set up properly. She kept track of the entire bridal party to ensure we were where we needed to be. Carmen made sure everything came together and she helped make things run smoothly. Looking back, I can’t imagine planning and executing a wedding without Carmen and her team.

Carmen was instrumental in making our wedding day a success. Carmen and her assistant helped make our day go smoothy and the flowers were amazing! As a lesbian couple it can be hard to find a wedding coordinator but with Carmen there was no stress and zero weirdness, I would highly recommend her!

I hired Carmen and her husband Kevin to do the videography for my wedding in October 2016. All throughout the process, they were non-responsive and slow to reply to emails, but Kevin and his team showed up on the day of the wedding so I was relieved. I'm upset to say that it's been almost 2 years and I still don't have my wedding video (which I paid for in full prior to the wedding). I have tried contacting both Kevin and Carmen excessively over the last year and a half, but still have no video. When they did respond, Carmen would only tell me that she couldn't do anything and that I would have to reach out to Kevin. Kevin initially would send delayed responses saying he was working on it, but eventually stopped responding all together. We eventually received a hard copy of the video on DVD, but the disc doesn't play. We were supposed to also receive a flash drive, but never received it. I even took the disc to electronics stores and they told me that there was something faulty with what was sent since there is no content on the disc. I have left multiple voicemails and emails about getting a DVD or flash drive that actually works, but haven't received any response. I'm so upset about this because I paid a fortune for their services and I still don't have a final video. I wish I didn't have to do this but wanted to write a review to warn others before you engage with this company.
