    Without a doubt, simply amazing

    Evrim was amazing to work with. From our first meeting, where he took my Bride and I to coffee to just get to know each other and talk through what we are looking for, to the actual wedding day, Evrim was a friend. There was never a moment where it felt like Evrim was not truly passionate about what we were talking about and this especially showed on the wedding day. Of course it rained, but this didn't deter Evrim one bit. He was all smiles and went out of his way to ensure that my Bride was comfortable, and not feeling rushed. In fact, he went out of his way to assure her that he would get us back on track, and he did! It is hard to find words to describe how amazing Evrim really was through this whole experience.

    In a nutshell, Evrim is professional, kind hearted and will go out of his way to make sure that your day is as smooth as he can help make it. He truly cared about our experience, and was in constant communication. He knew when to rally my grooms party to get on schedule, but did it in a way that everybody was laughing with each other and him cracking jokes helped ease a lot of pressure from a stressful day. I couldn't imagine our wedding being done by anybody other than Evrim. The one piece that sticks out to me the most about working with Evrim is that it never felt like he was pressuring us to get the types of photos he wanted, but instead it was asking us what we wanted, but he also knew the best ways to offer guidance to ensure we were getting what we wanted. You can't go wrong with trusting Evrim.

    Evrim is the one of the most talented artists that I have ever met in my life. Our wedding day was such a rainy grey day, however Evrim managed to take the most colorful and beautiful photos I have ever seen. Both posed and candid photos turned out amazing. He is not just an amazing photographer but also a very humble, truly nice person. He jumped in and helped us with even some things that are unrelated with photography during the day such as coordinating the signatures, etc. I can't wait to work with him again for other occasions. I highly recommend him!

    I looked at many, many wedding portfolios when I was looking for a wedding photographer but I just kept coming back to Evrim. I loved that he didn't do boring photos. His work was beautiful and classy but not cliche. I could tell he excelled at candid photos which is what we wanted. Yeah, we did the family/group photos but we wanted someone to capture the actual life and heart (and fun) of our event and he did just that. He was also really fun to work with. His smile and his demeanor put everyone at ease. He was also amazing with the kids...even the young ones. My young nephew was being a bit difficult. He wouldn't listen to anyone, especially his parents. Evrim looked him square in the eye and kindly but very firmly told him what he needed to do...and he did it without hesitation! Evrim handled the whole day perfectly and professionally. He was even willing to stay an extra hour when we needed him to (no, not for free, don't be crazy!). I believe you get what you pay for and Evrim was worth every penny. I hope we see him again someday because he's such a cool guy! Brides, it takes time to go through and edit thousands of photos to find the perfect shots so you're not going to get your photos right away...be patient! It's well worth the wait.

    Evrim is nothing short of amazing. I hired him to shoot my wedding this summer after the Portland Art Museum after seeing his photography online. His work product speaks for itself-- the pictures turned out stunning.

    I was in awe at his ability to not only capture everything that happened, but how he was able to truly reflect who we are, our style, and the essence of our event through his photography. It's as if the pictures come to life. And his style is very modern and crisp, yet he inserted a real ethereal and romantic touch that I don't think anybody else could have captured.

    As if his work product isn't enough, he is an absolute joy to work with. He is very professional and doesn't miss a single detail in the planning process. He ensures you get all of the shots you want ahead of time and is very accommodating. I have a large family, so taking posed wedding pictures before the event was daunting, but Evrim was able to make it stress free and seamless. His very friendly, yet authoritative attitude was exactly what I needed to make sure we stayed on schedule and everyone remained happy. We even had a very tight time frame to shoot pictures (which I don't recommend), but Evrim was totally accommodating.

    You won't find anyone with his experience and artistry in Portland with such affordable pricing.

    At the end of the day, all of the other great things about him aside, it's the actual pictures that matter and you will not be disappointed with Evrim's work!

    We don't even have our photos back yet, and I already know Evrim is the best! Our engagement photos were amazing. Evrim is so creative and willing to get the best shot. He really is the best photographer I've seen. He's not a big corporate business, so he keeps the experience intimate and gets to know who he is working with. I cannot say enough great things about him!

    My husband and I are truly honored to have worked with Evrim as our photographer. He’s got phenomenal vision and impeccable timing. The shots were absolutely breath taking! I relive the moment every time I look at the photos. It’s as if they tell a story. If what you’re looking for is someone who’s creative, passionate about their work, fun, brilliant, & captures unforgettable memories, Evrim is one! He’s the only one we’d recommend and work with.     Evrim is an outstanding photographer! His posed and candid photos are all treasures -- we couldn't be happier with the photos he took at our daughter's wedding! Our families and our friends were all very impressed with the photographs. Evrim's photos were so awesome that those who couldn't be at the wedding felt like they attended after seeing the pictures!

    Evrim photographed one of my weddings this past summer and I couldn't have been happier. His images never cease to amaze me. His editing and artistic eye are above and beyond. He is truly a gifted photographer and any couple would be lucky to have their wedding photographed by him.

    Evrim was by far the best investment of my wedding! His pictures not only captured the key moments of the wedding, but the feel and essence as well. I have never seen wedding photos like the ones he takes and that is a continued statement from all of my guests who have seen the photos as well. He is spot on in pricing for the quality you get.

    Evrim's photographs are amazing... and he makes you feel so at ease during the shooting process! The price is definitely worth the quality.

    Evrim Icoz is the winner of the 2009 Oregon Bride Magazine's Best Wedding Vendor Award for a reason! Evrim and his assistant are absolutely amazing at what they do, and my husband and I are still so thrilled that we chose his company to photograph one of the most important days of our life.

    We met with a number of different photographers in the Portland area, and after our first meeting with Evrim, we knew he was the one! When we met him at the studio, he gave us celebrity service, showing us a slideshow of another wedding he did at our venue, which instantly showed us his talent and gave us an idea of what our pictures could look like! He spent all evening with us, showing us album after album of his style, his past experience, and answered all of our questions in person. He was there to sell his work to us, and he did!

    Evrim and his assistant are amazing, and are very passionate about what they do, which is reflected in their photographs! On our wedding day, following a few of the pictures, he would show them to family just to see what they thought and people raved! Even today, people tell me that his photographs look like paintings and works of art, which is amazing! Evrim made me and my husband enjoy taking photographs on our wedding day, and we felt so calm and beautiful thanks to him!

    Evrim's style is more photo-journalistic, and this is not something everyone is interested in, so I recommend viewing his website to ensure his style aligns with yours! Unfortunately, the only downside to working with an award-winning photographer is the cost. Evrim was the only part of our wedding that was outside of our budget, and even following the photography on the day of, the album cost was a bit high as well. However, we still paid it because we knew we were getting the best! The album is AMAZING and will be viewed for years to come. We are still blown away by Evrim's amazing abilities, and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer for their big day or any occasion!

    We were one of the first weddings that Evrim did, and the pictures were amazing! I have since looked at his site, and they are even better now. The places were he was still learning with us have improved so much, I wish I could get more pictures with him!

    Evrim was the best money we spent.

    His work is amazing. He is refreshingly direct when he communicates and works with people. It can be a little difficult to schedule time with him, as he is so in demand, but we didn't mind at all.

    The photos are absolutely beautiful -- Evrim does an amazing job capturing the whole event in a photojournalistic fashion. He is very talented and easy to work with.

    I chose Evrim Icoz because of his world-renowned photography. Unfortunately, along with this came a huge price tag: over $4000 total, which include a fee to an upgraded album after an issue with the first.
    Booking & Planning: He was very hard to get a hold of at times, since he is always traveling. There were times that it would be a week or more before I would hear from him, and he didn't always answer my questions. As a stressed-out bride, this did not work well for me! But I loved his style and he was fairly easy to work with in the beginning, so I booked him anyway.
    As for the day of the wedding, he was difficult to work with. I had a set timeline and in the first hour he already had the whole wedding behind!! He did NOT listen to me well and took way more time than I wanted to get shots. Yes, he is a professional, but when I told him we NEEDED to be done by a certain time and he ignored that, it was not fun for me. Others also had issues with his professionalism (or lack therefore) and flexibility in getting the shots we wanted. He did stay a little later than the contract stipulated and he did supply us with a tremendous amount of photos, but my husband and I were NOT happy with his demeanor all day.
    The photos: The style was basic and did not reflect the style of his world-renowned work I fell in love with. He gave us what we asked for, in a way, but not in the style I feel we paid for. That's not to say we didn't get some amazing shots, but anyone could have done that for us at probably half the price. We were very disappointed overall with the quality.
    We did have a huge issue with our first album being completely sub-par, and he "allowed" us to PURCHASE a second album at a discounted price. I was very upset about this, as it was more money out of our pocket, but the second album was gorgeous and at 50% off.
    I love my photos but I would not recommend him unless you want to deal with issue after issue and get less value & professionalism for your money
