    Here comes the rain, let’s get married!

    My daughter’s wedding was during a 2 day thunderstorm. Not even ankle deep water could stop Sepali and her team from making the wedding day perfect! She really takes the stress away from so all you do is enjoy the day.
    With the weather changing to a massive thunderstorm, a venue manager that would not make it easy for her, to a broken tent, she always had a smile and a “we got it” attitude. A 4 days celebration that really could not have come together if it was not for Sepali and her team. If you really want a perfect wedding, hire her!

    Amazing service

    I worked with Sepali for day of coordination services but got more than day of services. She is simply wonderful to work with and very organized. I appreciated the time she took to help me find vendors, organize timelines and contracts, and answered questions I had months before the wedding. One the actual wedding day, she and her team were awesome, professional, and very nice. As far as I can tell, things ran on time, in fact we finished earlier than the projected time. I highly recommend Events by Sep!

    Okay, How do i begin? Sepali Vakil and her team (Jamie and Chloe) are by far the best coordinators that we could have ever asked for. The word coordinator is too low a title for the amount of quality work they offered to the paramount success of our wedding. They should wedding Directors, because they accomplished our vision to the nth degree with great satisfaction for our 2-day wedding. With the finesse of someone who's done it a thousand times. Most surprising for us was that she ensured our family members who are notoriously two hours late to everything actually be on-time; It is a magnum opus in and of itself. She met with us multiple times and stayed in good communication with all of the wedding party and vendors so no-one had to come to the bride or groom (us) with any questions. She even helped us with nuanced details like designing the cake table and coordinating with Portos (the cake vendor) when they had us make a last-minute change. Do yourself a favor and book her.

    My husband is of Indian decent and I am Persian so naturally, we had a multi-event wedding. We had a two year engagement, and I thought, pshhhhh I got this. Well it's 7 months before the wedding and I am stressing and I am stressing hard. Then we hire Sepali and all our worries were went away. She was the mastermind behind our 3 day wedding and made all my visions come to life. Sepali did everything from negotiating with other vendors, giving me creative ideas for the different aspects of the wedding, venue shopping, design/styling and day of coordination. She was so patient with Harp and I and she always went out of her way to meet us when it was most convenient for our schedule. She was always early to make sure everything was set up correctly and hired the best assistants to have all aspects of the events covered. She was my right hand woman the whole time and I couldn't have gotten through each event without her.I love how organized she was with everything and literally didn’t forget about anything we talked about. We are so so happy with the way everything turned out! She also planned my bridal shower and just went above and beyond. You don’t have to plan your wedding alone! Sepali will take all your stress away so you can enjoy the planning process and have no doubt that your big day (or days in my case) go perfectly! Thank you Sepali for everything! Can’t wait for you to plan my baby shower.

    Sepali and her team helped me plan, organize, decorate and coordinate my recent baby shower. I live in a different city from where the baby shower was going to be held, and it was great to have someone local to help with planning, especially as she had done events at the location before. She was very thorough from the beginning and asked for my ideas and turned them into a reality. She got me in touch with a local decorator (Araceli from Royal Ball Designs) for the bigger decorations however she took care of all the smaller décor on the tables (entrance table, cake table, etc). She even came to my house the night before to pick up the décor and games that I had made prior so that everything was set up on the morning of. I was able to come to our party stress free - and everything was exactly as I had imagined! We only had the restaurant for a few hours and we had a lot to accomplish during that time (religious ceremony, games, lunch) and Sepali and her team made sure everything went on time and coordinated with the restaurant to make sure food and drinks were replenished for all the guests. Everyone commented on how smoothly the event ran - this is definitely not the norm in an Indian party as they always tend to run late! Overall, I highly recommend hiring Sepali and her team for your next event!

    Sepali is the most spectacular, organized, creative, detailed, and punctual event planner I have ever met. She is a perfectionsist!     Sep coordinated a perfect ceremony and reception for us. Her genius and work ethic is unparalleled. She wore all these hats and did it with absolute ease. I never saw her stressed and always saw a smile. It made me feel content to see her work with such ease. I enjoyed my wedding day even more because I knew she had my back. She worked tirelessly until the last moment at 12:30am. She was the last person, my new wife and I sat with at the end of the evening. Making sure we were all good. Thank you Sep for making our dreams come true.

    Sepali planned my bridal shower. Shower started at 2pm but she got to the location at 9am just to make sure everything goes according to the plans. Sepali will help you create your vision come to life and she delivers more than what you ever expected. She will pay attention to every single details that you never thought of. She is the best event coordinator i haver worked with so far.

    I was 8 months pregnant and going through a very difficult pregnancy when we had our baby shower in January 2018. Despite the intense lower back pain and nausea, my husband and I had the most fun (according to our guests), polished, well coordinated shower- and it’s all because of Sepali and her assistant Chloe! Without them, I probably would have been very stressed and had gone into labor! But seeing how Sepali was on top of everything allowed me to actually enjoy my baby shower! She kept us on timeline, decorated our house beautifully, she made sure we were happy and the guests are taken cared of, she made all 9 of our games/activities happen while making sure the guests are having fun and the event didn’t drag. She was flexible with us too, and made sure the event was going how WE wanted it to be. At the very end, she even sent us with professional-grade photographs of the event. We really couldn’t have asked for a better event coordinator! She was an ALL STAR! Sepali was dedicated and made our happiness her priority! Definitely recommend her to all of our friends and family!     With the help of events by Sep, my loved ones created a unique and memorable atmosphere for my gender reveal that I will always remember! It was so special! She thought of everything right down to the “please take your shoes off sign,” as she knows that was important to my family who threw the party! Her salsa made a debut as well and everyone raved about it:) needless to say, I’m a very satisfied customer who continues to use Evebts by Sep for all my special events!

    I started a new job 1 MONTH before my wedding, so I didn’t have time to deal with last minute details like signage. That’s where Sepali came in to save the day! Found her on Instagram, arranged a quick phone call and was able to breathe a sigh of relief. I told her which signs I needed and a little bit about my colors and vision and she did the rest! She even sends you emailed samples along the way so that you can specify any changes you want made to the design. She’s flexible, talented, and super sweet. Not to mention, her rates are SO affordable! 5 stars again and again.

    What can I say about Sepali, she left me speechless. She is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Not only is she professional and organized but also very friendly and easy to get along with.

    I had my first baby shower for my baby girl and a tight budget. I had a vision in mind ( actually couple of visions that could have drive her crazy) but she was so graceful and understanding through the planing time, the most important thing is that she new exactly what I wanted and she made it happen and brought my vision to life! Her and her Amazing Team made my baby shower look stunningly beautiful with my super low budget.
    I was so happy and everyone loved her decorations and admired every little detail of my baby shower. I am definitely using her services again and again. She is totally a life savior.

    If your looking for someone to plan and host your event look no further, Sepali is the best candidate and she is very affordable.

    What can I say about my experience with Events by Sep? She was instrumental in making sure that everything was flawless and that I was stress free. We just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and the one thing that comes to mind is that I don't know what I would've done if we didn't hire Events by Sep.     THANK YOU GOD (& WEDDINGWIRE GODS) for bringing Sepali Vakil and her team Events by Sep (specifically, Chloe and Jamie) into my life! Over the last year, Sepali has basically done everything for my wedding and I could not be more grateful. She goes above and beyond anything she could ever describe as part of her wedding planning packages, because she is the most personable, honest, organized, and just overall wonderful person.
    Just to name a few things I LOVED / constantly rave about her....
    - Sepali was also so easy to get a hold of. She is quick to reply to texts, emails, or calls, and just knows that we are all busy people while planning weddings so gives realistic goals for you to do in the right time period.
    - Her preparation was so organized. The timeline was to the minute, and was shared widely so I felt all our vendors and guests knew when/where to go.
    - She just "gets it!" She understands what its like to be a bride and have a budget, and knows on the day certain things can be stressful so doesn't bombard you with questions or decisions to make, which I REALLY appreciated.
    - She also made sure my hubby and I ate during each event!! O-M-G we were SO happy with this, and there were takeout boxes of food in our rooms for after the night!
    - Most importantly, we ran ON TIME...for an Indian wedding, that NEVER HAPPENS - and actually, the ceremony was done 30 minutes early! I give full credit to Sepali for making sure everything was prepped, people knew where to be, and this gave me a chance to get more photos on the mandap with my family, which was such a pleasant surprise.
    In all honesty, the saddest part of the wedding being over is that I don't get to see her as much, but (and she doesn't know) she will be planning ALL my personal and family events...for the next 50 years! =) Thank you again, Sepali, my family, extended family, and guests cannot stop raving about you!

    Couldn't have done it without Sepali!

    We worked with Sepali for our 3 day Gujarati wedding in Portland, Oregon. After speaking with Sepali for the first time when I was trying to find a planner, I knew I wanted to work with her - she has a warm, calming, and fun demeanor that is helpful to have on your side as a bride. Sepali worked with us step by step to ensure we were on track, communicated with all our vendors seamlessly to ensure everyone was on the same page, helped us create an extremely detailed timeline and other documents (bridal party logistics, etc.) to make sure that nothing fell through the cracks, and kept us all sane through the entire planning process. She also offered many tips and ideas that helped our events go more smoothly. Because of her incredible planning, we had organized, successful events and we were able to sit back and relax/enjoy the whole weekend. We are so grateful for Sepali! :)

    Sepali was just amazing! She made our wedding day beautiful by understanding our preferences and decorating the place amazingly.     Good sales pitch, bad follow through

    First off, I want to say that Sepali's day of team was quite good. The people actually on the ground, supporting us were attentive and knew what they were doing.

    We went with the month of coordination option. I'm sure if you go with a more expensive option, Sepali will do a better job for you.

    And, just as an FYI, here's another review with a similar theme to mine from someone else who also chose the same option.

    Another friend of ours, who booked a similar package also felt ignored by Sepali in the month leading up to their wedding. I don't think they'll post a review but there seems to be a theme here.

    Sepali is a great salesperson. She gives a good pitch, and in the early days of planning, when it didn't really matter, she set up weekly calls with us and sent us examples of her previous work that looked really detailed and gave us a good idea of what we needed to do.

    My biggest gripe is that when it really mattered, the month before the wedding, Sepali stopped responding to messages promptly, didn't seem to actually follow up with vendors and align on details, didn't seem to remember details of our wedding, and just didn't do what she said she was going to do when she said she was going to do it. It was clear she had other clients who were paying her more that took precedence.

    Example 1. Sepali was supposed to host a meeting with both sets of parents to run through the timeline and details for the wedding day. She hadn't prepped for the meeting at all, despite the fact that we had provided her all the requested info weeks in advance. In fact, she only shared materials that I, the groom, had put together and clearly hadn't even read it all. Imagine paying someone else to do something for you and they share your work and aren't even familiar with it.

    Example 2. The week of the wedding, the timeline document, which is supposed to be the one source of truth for everything that's supposed to happen that day, which she or her team are supposed to complete, wasn't finished and when she said she finished it, it wasn't correct. I had to get into the document myself to fix it for her.

    Example 3. She didn't speak with the priest about the specifics of the wedding ceremony. She claimed she knew the priest well and had already spoken to him weeks in advance. A day or two before the wedding, the priest let us know that he hadn't spoken to her at all. I called her to ask her to iron out details and she reassured me that she would, and again claimed that she already had spoken to him. The day of the wedding, the priest tried to make a bunch of last minute changes, including moving the ceremony up by 30 minutes, before all the guests had arrived. This could be the priest going rogue, but to me it is the responsibility of the coordinator to make sure they are aware of the plan for the day and that they make sure all parties involved adhere to the plan.

    I brought up all these issues with Sepali and she has neither apologized, nor acknowledged that she messed up.

    We paid to manage the planner

    TL;DR: Based on our experience, I would strongly advise couples to avoid Events by Sep. We hired a coordinator to reduce stress, but instead felt like we were paying to manage the person who was supposed to manage our wedding.

    Sepali is warm, personable, and has polished social media. That is exactly why I want to warn other couples: the image did not match our actual experience.

    We hired Events by Sep for month-of coordination for our multi-event wedding weekend and terminated before the wedding because we completely lost confidence in the service. She missed 3 scheduled meetings and was late to the majority of the meetings she did attend. Several meetings were only 10-15 minutes, with little meaningful guidance. We often felt like we had to lead the meetings, check in, follow up, and push basic planning forward ourselves.

    After one missed vendor meeting, we were essentially told to call/text to remind her to join future meetings. That was unbelievable to us. We were paying her to coordinate vendors, manage details, and keep us on track... not to be responsible for reminding our planner to show up.

    The stress this created was awful. Instead of feeling supported, we felt exposed. Instead of feeling like someone was owning the wedding, we felt like details were floating unless we personally chased them down. For a complex wedding weekend with multiple events, vendors, family logistics, physical layouts, and tight timelines, thats a recipe for disaster.

    After hiring a new coordinator, the difference was immediate and honestly alarming. It became clear how much had not been meaningfully addressed: timeline structure, vendor coordination, physical layout, setup flow, family/VIP logistics, and the actual sequence of how and when things needed to happen. Our new coordinator made it obvious that if we had stayed with Events by Sep, we would have been walking into serious wedding-day chaos.

    To be fair, Sepali did connect us with some vendors, attend a site visit, and prepare some materials. But that did not come close to outweighing the missed meetings, lack of detail, poor follow-through, and constant feeling that we had to manage the person we hired to manage the wedding.

    We ended the relationship respectfully on May 12. After that, we followed up multiple times to confirm termination/no future balance and ask about a fair partial refund since the main month-of coordination and event execution had not begun. Other than one note saying she was reviewing with her team, we received no substantive response.

    Please take this seriously before signing. I strongly recommend reading other public WeddingWire reviews as well, especially the reviews by Krupa, Sunny, and Justin. Their experiences describe similar concerns around follow-through, timelines, vendor coordination, and responsiveness. We wish we had taken those warnings more seriously before making the same mistake.

    Review & Experience from the Father of the Bride - Attached Lawsuits

    As the father of the bride, I feel compelled to share our experience with Events by Sepali to protect other families from enduring what ours went through. What should have been a time of joy and anticipation became an exhausting, chaotic, and deeply disappointing ordeal because of this vendor’s conduct.

    We engaged Events by Sepali in early 2025 for day of coordination services for my daughter’s wedding in May. The major vendors and logistics were already secured. All we needed was a capable coordinator to tie everything together, manage the timeline, and ensure the weekend ran smoothly so our family could focus on celebrating.

    That did not happen. Throughout the planning process, calls were frequently missed, delayed, or rescheduled. When calls did occur, they were rarely productive. There was no clear structure, no detailed plan, and no evidence of real progress, even as the wedding date drew closer. Each time my daughter and son in law asked for basic deliverables, such as a finalized timeline or confirmation of vendor coordination, they were met with excuses, shifting explanations, and requests for information that felt like busywork rather than meaningful planning.

    As a parent watching this unfold, it was unsettling. Months went by with no confirmed day of plan, no introductions to any actual team members despite repeated references to a “team,” and no proactive outreach to vendors. Less than two weeks before the wedding, it became clear that vendors had not been contacted, day of staff had not been confirmed, and there was no coherent plan in place for the events.

    When my son in law raised these concerns privately and respectfully, instead of taking responsibility and resolving the issues, Events by Sepali informed us that, after an internal discussion, she would be removing herself from the wedding and would issue a full refund. This decision was communicated only days before the events, leaving our family in a crisis situation at the eleventh hour.

    We then had to rush to find replacement coordinators, at a higher cost and with little time to prepare. My children and I were forced to step in, contact vendors ourselves, and pull together a working timeline in a matter of days. This was an avoidable emergency, created entirely by the vendor we had hired specifically to prevent such a scenario.

    To make matters even worse, the promised refund was never paid in full. Instead of a prompt and straightforward refund, there were delays, excuses, and even a one dollar “test” Zelle payment, followed by repeated promises that did not materialize into full repayment. In my view, walking away days before a wedding and then failing to honor the refund that was offered is not just unprofessional, it is unethical.

    Afterward, we spoke with other vendors and former clients and heard accounts that closely mirrored our own experience. We heard about overpromising and under delivering, last minute disorganization, and a pattern of being the last vendor in and the first vendor out. We also learned that the so called “team” appeared to be a rotating collection of freelancers or borrowed staff, not a stable, trained group of professionals. Several vendors shared concerns privately, indicating they were reluctant to speak publicly because of referral relationships. That, in itself, is telling.

    The financial and emotional cost to our family was significant. We incurred additional, unnecessary expenses to recover from this situation. More importantly, the weeks leading up to what should have been one of the happiest days of my daughter’s life were overshadowed by stress, uncertainty, and a scramble to fix problems that never should have existed in the first place.

    I have been in business long enough to understand that things can go wrong. However, character is demonstrated by how one responds when things do go wrong. In our experience, Events by Sepali showed a lack of accountability, a lack of transparency, and a lack of integrity in both the handling of the wedding coordination and the handling of the refund.

    To any family considering this vendor, my sincere recommendation is simple. Do not entrust your wedding, your finances, or your peace of mind to Events by Sepali. There are many capable, honest coordinators who will respect the trust you place in them, honor their commitments, and support your family during such an important milestone. In our experience, this was not one of them.

    Your child’s wedding should be a celebration, not a crisis you have to manage. Ours came far too close to becoming a cautionary story rather than a joyful memory, and no family should have to go through that. Attached are photos and public records of ongoing and past lawsuits involving this vendor, which further validate our experience and reinforce why no couple or family should take this risk.

    Absolutely Terrible - has no business in this business

    I have been in event planning for over 20 years and have never seen a vendor screw over other vendors, young couples, and families in such a horrible manner in all my time.

    If you plan to work with Sepali, I urge you to read through the reviews of past employees and past clients - once she is in litigation she demands that all reviews and bad comments come down. Maybe Sepali doesn't know what freedom of speech is, but she's about to find out!

    STOP & RUN FOR THE HILLS | Brace yourself for this one

    This review is based entirely on my personal experience as a paying client for our May 2025 wedding. I'm sharing it so other couples, especially in the South Asian community, can make an informed decision before trusting this vendor with one of the most important days of their lives.

    THE SHORT VERSION - If your goal is to:

    Set your (and your family's) hard-earned wedding savings on fire

    Add massive stress, confusion, and chaos to what should be a joyful planning process

    Scramble at the last minute to save your own wedding from someone you paid to help

    ...then by all means, book Events by Sepali.

    For everyone else: RUN.

    TIMELINE & ENGAGEMENT
    We reached out in early 2025 for day-of coordination for our May wedding. We had already secured our venue and vendors. All we needed was a professional coordinator to pull everything together, manage logistics, and keep the timeline on track.

    Instead, we got:

    "Planning calls" that were often late, missed, or rescheduled and NEVER actually productive or involved any planning.

    Excuses instead of accountability.

    No clear structure, no detailed plan, and no confidence that anything was actually getting done.

    UNPRODUCTIVE PLANNING & NO DELIVERABLES
    Whenever we asked for something concrete, like a finalized timeline or vendor coordination details, we were:

    Given "homework" that felt like busywork, not meaningful progress

    Asked for things that weren't urgent priorities

    Left feeling less confident after each interaction

    MONTHS went by with:

    No real timeline

    No confirmed day-of plan

    No introductions to any "team" members that were kept being referenced

    No vendor calls or proactive coordination

    TWO WEEKS OUT: CRISIS
    Less than two weeks before our wedding:

    No vendor introductions (because they were never contacted)

    No communication with our full vendor team

    No confirmed day-of staff (because there was no staff)

    After I privately and respectfully raised serious concerns, we were told that, after an internal "team discussion," it would be best for her to remove herself from our wedding and issue a full refund.

    This decision came DAYS before our events.

    THE REFUND THAT NEVER HAPPENED (IN FULL)
    What followed over the next six months was:

    Delays and excuses

    A strange "$1 test" Zelle payment instead of promptly issuing the actual refund

    Repeated promises with no meaningful follow-through

    As of writing this review, we still have not received the full refund she agreed to provide. In my opinion, walking away at the eleventh hour and then failing to honor that commitment shows a serious lack of professionalism and integrity.

    INDUSTRY & COMMUNITY FEEDBACK
    After this experience, we spoke with other vendors and former clients and heard similar stories:

    Overpromising and under-delivering

    Last-minute chaos "Sepali is always the last vendor in, first vendor out"

    Reliance on loosely assembled, ad hoc help instead of a consistent, trained team

    We also learned some vendors are hesitant to speak publicly because they rely on referrals. That alone is telling.

    From our vantage point, the "team" did not appear to be a stable professional staff. We heard about freelancers and even requests to "borrow" staff from other vendors, completely misaligned with what you expect when hiring a professional coordinator for your wedding.

    THE REAL COST
    Because of this situation:

    We had to scramble and hire new, unvetted coordinators, communicate with vendors, and hastily put together a timeline at the last minute at a higher cost. In fact our total costs for the wedding went by 30%, AT LEAST, due to Sepali's action's alone.

    We endured completely avoidable stress in the days leading up to our events

    We lost both time and money dealing with someone who, in our experience, did not deliver on promises and did not resolve the situation appropriately

    And based on my personal experience, think very carefully before trusting this vendor with your wedding

    We trusted her with our day. She exited at the last minute, did not make things right, and left us to fix the damage ourselves.

    Couples deserve better. Families deserve better. Your wedding is too important to risk.

    FINAL VERDICT
    If you are considering Events by Sepali:

    Just dont, stop and walk - RUN. You are better off letting an intern or high school volunteer use your big day as a capstone project for free.

    People like Sepali that cause this much pain to a newly married couple will learn sooner than later the meaning of Karma.

    Super unproffesional

    Sepali hires people at random, and then does not properly train them. She especially does not pay her employees on time. Her lack of back office coordination shows, bleeding into her events, creating unecessary stress for the bride. 0/10 would not recommend

    This one is going to be different guys!
    I’m not a client, I am actually a person who worked for Events by Sep. So this is as honest and real as it gets!
    I had an extremely disappointing experience working for Events by Sep. The management, particularly the owner Sepali, was unprofessional and unreliable. I faced significant issues with payment, as my wages were delayed for weeks with constant stalling and excuses. To make matters worse, the boss did not even attend the event I worked at, which further highlighted her poor management skills. Overall, I would strongly advise against working or hiring this company due to her lack of organization, respect for their employees, and commitment to their events. It has been months since I worked for her and she still has not paid me! If she treats her help like that, imagine how she is with her clients!
