Floral ninjas

Allison and her team were absolutely fantastic to work with. They came in and set up all of the reception tables for us including all of the candles, and did our ceremony space so fast it was like you barely knew they were there. They florals were exactly as I had hoped and pictured and we got compliments all night about how beautiful they were and how well done and tasteful they were set up. Thank you Allison and team you guys rule!

Allison and her crew are absolutely amazing. I
Could not have asked for any better for our wedding that was in September. I had a lot of requests and her and her team carried them out and exceeded my expectations. I was getting compliments on all of my flowers months after our wedding! I promise you will not be disappointed.

Highly recommend Ludemas for your big day!

I LOVED working with Ludemas. Allison made the entire process super fun and easy! They were by far the best venue to work with and always enjoyable. The wedding flowers were so beautiful and I got so many compliments! They work with your budget very well unlike a lot of other places. They made two deliveries on my wedding day, to drop off flowers for the first look and to set up the centerpieces!! Overall I would highly recommend Ludemas for your big day!!!

Wonderful Service and Gorgeous Flowers

Events by Ludemas was so wonderful to work with! Allison truly made my wedding vision come to life and our flowers were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. The staff was extremely helpful and prepared, alerting us of road closures prior to our wedding and their plans to get us our flowers despite the closures. We could not have been happier with our flowers and the service!

I am SO glad we chose Ludema's for our wedding this spring! I could immediately tell that the people working there are not only experts, but truly care about each client. Allison was AMAZING to work with, and was extremely responsive and detailed. She took my Pinterest board of ideas and created exactly what I was looking for and more. When I walked into my reception venue, I was blown away by how beautiful the table arrangements were. I got so many compliments on our bouquets as well. I was also really pleased at how Ludema's was creative in ways to repurpose flowers - for example, pew decor was repurposed for the escort card table, and bouquets went in vases on our head table.

I highly recommend Ludema's for gorgeous flowers and outstanding service!

I cannot say enough about Ludema's! They created the most amazing flowers for our wedding, and were incredibly thorough and detail-oriented during the planning process, working with me to make sure everything turned out exactly as I envisioned it. When they delivered the flowers I couldn't believe how gorgeous they were. They lasted over a week after our wedding and just kept getting better and better. And, to just add to their amazingness, they were willing to drive 3 hours to Northern Michigan to deliver the flowers and were very fair in their prices. Would highly recommend!

From the first consultation with Allison, I knew Ludemas floral would make my wedding flowers the way I imagined them. Allison does a great job of visualizing a beautiful bouquet, and our altar arrangement was a hit! A couple of days before the wedding, we heard from her that the peonies in my bridal bouquet weren't looking very good, so they came up with an alternative that looked just as great. Ludemas will work around any budget, and give you honest thoughts and suggestions. I'd plan with Ludemas again, and will recommend to every future bride!

My husband and I could not have been happier with Events by Ludemas! Our florist, Allison, was wonderful to work with. She was prompt and responsive to our (millions of) phone calls and emails. She took all of our ideas and input into consideration, combined those with her professional opinion and expertise, and created show-stopping floral arrangements. My bridal bouquet was complimented all night long! Allison is extremely creative, organized, and professional. I would recommend events by Ludemas to every happy couple planning their wedding!

The flowers for our wedding were absolutely beautiful! Allison was so accommodating to my inspiration pictures and really captured what I wanted for our day while staying within our budget! She also offered advice while we were planning based on her vast experience for table decor and arrangements, which was so helpful! We changed the set up for our tables from long to round and Allison was so nice about helping us figure out our new set up! Everything was perfect! Thank you, Ludemas!

Allison is amazing. She is easy to work with, professional, and incredibly talented. We shopped around for awhile, and I'll be honest we were looking for a deal. After my first meeting with Ludema's, I realized how much more we were getting and it was a done deal. But had I seen the beautiful displays they'd create for our wedding day, when everything came together effortlessly and they covered every little detail I would have paid double. It'd would've been worth it. My own regret was leaving for honeymoon the day after the wedding and not having more time to enjoy them!

The team at Ludemas was so helpful, especially Allison! She did a wonderful job creating our centerpieces and bouquets for the wedding, and they were gorgeous! They incorporated our color scheme perfectly. I really enjoyed working with Ludemas as they made the entire process so easy and painless, including set up and take down! Every step of working with Ludema's was top-notch. Alison was very experienced, professional, and just a joy to work with. She was encouraging about the types of flowers I liked most and how she could incorporate them into the bigger picture of what we wanted for our wedding day. Ludema's Flowers made our wedding day awesome. I talked with several florists before picking one and right away I could tell I like Ludema's. They were very reasonably priced and very professional. Allison was incredible at going off my general idea (I'm not much for decorating) and shaping it into something beautiful and classy. They made getting all the flowers picked out and set up super easy! I had many compliments on the centerpieces they did as well as the bouquets. The flowers were fresh and beautiful and lasted for quite awhile after the wedding also. I would definitely recommend Ludemas and am so grateful for all their help! Thank you!

Ludema's did an amazing job working around the budget we set to get us what we needed. The flowers they picked to match our color scheme was gorgeous and they really worked well within our budget. I was very surprised the day of at how large the bouquets were and the flowers smelled wonderful as well. I was pleasantly surprised at how much we got for a low budget.

If I could give Allison and Events by Ludema 10 stars I would. I was a bride who had a specific vision in her head and when I met with Allison I felt like she "got it." Immediately she knew the look I was going for. She was able to see the vision in my head and translate that into reality. I wanted an organic feel which they were able to capture unlike any other florist because they grow their own flowers. I had guests comment to me all night about how beautiful the flowers/arrangements were. My photographer couldn't stop commenting on my bouquet. I think she said it best when she said she had only seen a bouquet that beautiful in magazines. Truly amazing work!

In addition to her incredible talent with flowers, Allison is exceptional to work with. She is thorough, patient (and I say this knowing I asked a ton of questions), accommodating (unexpected delivery changes), organized, flexible, quick to respond (I was organizing my wedding from out of state), and above all else a kind person to work with. In the chaos of planning a wedding, she was for me, a calming presence. I can never thank her enough!!

Allison Ludema helped me with my flowers for my wedding at Wildwood Family Farms. She was recommended to me by my sister-in-law who had her do her wedding (and whose flowers I totally loved as well) - and I must say she was amazing! She was SO organized, which is one of the best qualities you could ask for from a vendor when planning a wedding. She is one of the few vendors I had where I didn't have to repeat myself, nothing got forgotten, and everything we wanted happened. My bouquet was a dream come true. We did flower crowns, which some florists don't even know how to do - and they were AMAZING. She also made us a 25 foot garland of baby's breath and wax flowers. Keep in mind that we were working on a budget, and we still got these things! Ludemas is reasonably priced, and they go out of their way to make sure you get what you want, on whatever budget you have. If you like expensive stuff, but can't afford it, Allison will suggest alternatives that are beautiful, but still work with your budget. Everything was fresh, everything was gorgeous - Allison is a true professional and she answers your questions before you can even ask them! It was such a load off of my shoulders. Her and her team go above and beyond. A fabulous vendor! I HIGHLY recommend you use them.

Allison at Ludemas was GREAT to work with! She had wonderful ideas that always included our desires! The end product, which included decorating the church, the flowers for everyone in the wedding, and decorating the reception venue, was beautiful! The day of the wedding we did not have to worry about setting up or tearing down because Ludemas did that all. Again, working with Ludemas was a GREAT experience!

My husband and I had a cabin chic wedding in August 2013. Allison was creative with our budget and flexible with ideas about how to use our containers (wine bottles, vases made out of tree branches and mason jars). She took the ideas we had and made them come to life in ways that were even lovelier than we could ever have imagined. The floral arrangements tied all of the other decorations together and the color palate and actual flower choices were stunning.

We received exceptional service from Katie and the crew at Ludema's for our daughter's wedding. From the start Katie listened to our ideas and made suggestions to enhance our vision. Allison, our main contact, was fantastic! She worked extremely hard to help realize our vision and succeeded in creating the perfect day. Her flowers were beautiful. She wasn't pushy or opinionated - she supported what we were looking to create while using her knowledge and expertise to surpass our expectations. She personally delivered the flowers on our day and checked in with us regularly to make sure it's what we were looking for. Ludemas manages to be extremely professional and talented while at the same time being real and down to earth. We were so excited to have worked with them and appreciate all Allison did to make the day beautiful.

The flowers that Ludemas created for my wedding were absolutely gorgeous. I was going for a vintage/turn-of-the-century look, and Ludemas has great access to vintage flowers, real garden flowers, and the knowledge to put them all together with more contemporary greenhouse plants that are truly breathtaking. Allison was wonderful to work with; I highly recommend this vendor for flowers in the West Michigan area.

We met with several other florists before going with Ludema's. If you book with them, you will not be disappointed. We worked with Allison and she was so wonderful and professional! I felt immediately from our first meeting that she "got" the overall look/feel I was going for with arrangements and flower selections.
Day of the wedding everything looked spectacular and I was blown away by how beautiful my bridal bouquet was!! I was in love with it! Everything was GORGEOUS! We received tons of compliments on our centerpieces. Thanks Allison!

My daughter and I selected Ludema's after interviewing two other reputable florists. We just clicked with Allison. She has great ideas, listens to the customer and works hard to stay within the budget and still deliver a beautiful floral design. Allison had us come in the day before the wedding to view the floral creations. I wasn't pleased with one of the flower choices in the bridesmaid's bouquets and after a few minutes of brainstorming we had a favorable alternative. They came out beautiful as well as all of the rest of our flowers. Allison and her staff took all of our ideas and created them in to a lovely display of flowers. I could not have been more happy with our flowers! Allison was such a huge help with picking out the flowers and was very knowledgable about what would be in season, most cost effective and what would look good together. She gave a very detailed account of what we had orders and what each item cost and resent it when something was updated. I would highly recommend Ludemas for any event that you may need flowers for, and their garden center is fabulous too!!

Ludemas did a wonderful job with all our flowers, but my bouquet was exactly as I had dreamt it would be; perfect size, perfect balance of flower types & colors, and so fresh it lasted for days!
The entire experience working with Ludemas was great. As a bride you worry a little that the florist really gets what you are envisioning, and can translate that into what you have been dreaming about.
I had met with a couple other wedding floral designers already to get quotes, but when I sat down with Allison I felt like she knew exactly what I was describing, and she seemed equally as excited about everything we came up with that I had made up my mind to use Ludemas before I had even received the quote.

Working with Allison for our recent wedding was an absolute dream come true! I have used Ludema's for many of my floral needs. When a local vendor I had been planning on using went out of business, I turned to Ludemas. Allison was so easy to work with and had so many ideas. She was very flexible, made sure that my needs were met and even made sure that the flowers I had were within my budget but still beautiful. I should have started with Ludemas from the start. The guests at are wedding could not stop talking about how beautiful the floral arrangements were. I recommend that any bride looking for great flowers, friendly and professional service go to Ludemas. You wont be dissapointed.

Ludema's did an impeccable job with my wedding flowers. I came with a few ideas for colors and flowers and the wedding florist exceeded my expectations. She was so on top of everything. I'm an organized person, so I appreciated her level of organization as well. The flowers ended up being better than I could have ever expected. I would recommend Ludema's to absolutely anyone based on the quality, professionalism, value, and flexibility. It was a joy to work with Ludema's as a vendor for my wedding.

Allison is fabulous! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she not only created gorgeous flower pieces just like the pictures, but personlized it to my style and personality. Words cannot express how beautiful everything was. Allison was creative, confident, and I knew I could leave everything in her hands. When I look back on my wedding it is the flowers I loved the most! Allison made me feel comfortable from the moment I met her. When I arrived at my reception (an outdoor tent) I had to pause and just take in how beautiful a job Allison did, it was better than I could have ever dreamed:)!

The easiest decision I made in regards to my wedding was using Allison as my florist. Having done a beautiful job for my sister the year before, I knew I would get superior service, gorgeous fresh flowers, creative ideas, very competitive prices and flexibility to work with my schedule. Allison did not disappoint, and a year later I still get compliments on the floral arrangements/bouquets when friends and family look at my wedding album. I came in without a clear idea of what I wanted, and Allison was so patient, and able to clarify what I was hoping for, and made it reality. I had to worry about NOTHING in regards to my flowers and their delivery and set up both at the church and reception - Allison herself was involved in every detail of the setting up and is very available to her brides which I so appreciated. Counting my own wedding, I have been in 4 total that Allison did the flowers for and every one was unique, gorgeous, and reflected the personality of the couple. Ludema's is a beautiful store run by an exceptional family who truly cares about their customers and does not have the "chain store" feel, but operates on the principle of old fashioned customer service. I always recommend Allison Ludema to others planning their wedding or are involved in planning someone else's. Being a bride, having Allison as your florist is a decision that I guarantee won't cause you to lose any sleep before the big day! :)

My flowers were PERFECT. It was exactly what I had imagined. Allison was so knowledgable and professional, I felt comfortable with her immediately. She always kept cost in mind and never tried to 'upsell'. In fact, where appropriate, she suggested less expensive flowers that created the same look. I would highly recommend Ludemas and plan to use them for all my future florist needs!

My flowers were gorgeous! I am not a big planner nor interested in the details of tedious planning, yet I never had to worry or get overwhelmed with planning for the flowers. Allison did a great job of asking me key questions about my ideas of the wedding and used her great experience and innovation. The flowers were perfect for our simple outdoor garden-type wedding.

We wanted to have a simple wedding without anything over-the-top, so Allison had everything well set up for us to pick up and set up on our own. Allison did a great job of meeting our needs and desires within the price range we wanted! I also loved that she made most things from the outdoor wedding to cross over to the reception. She also came up with the idea to use large hanging baskets that could double as gifts to my mother after the ceremony. LOVE LOVE LOVE Allison!

Our flowers weren't just beautiful - they were EXCITING to look at! Allison is 5th generation in her business and her talent shines! I provided photos and ideas (some from martha stewart), and Allison was quick to let me know the flower types that would not hold up. She took my limited vision and made it a breathtaking reality. Every picture of an idea that i provided, she made it better. We had a cake "tree" and a "backdrop" that needed creative decorating - by the time she was done, they looked like they came from a magazine! She created wreaths to go around a homemade centerpiece and worked with me to make them affordable. Bouquets were perfect and Allison provided a way to keep them fresh throughout the event. I must have changed my mind half a dozen times, and she was always happy to oblige and eager to consider any "ripple effect" with the other arrangements. She worked so hard to "connect" all the flower types. At the last minute I asked if she could transport the large and heavy arrangements from the church, and she quickly made it happen. I had interviewed two other Grand Rapids florists, and it turned out I knew more about flower "types" then they did! Not with Allison - she was knowledgable and always professional. Her estimates were very clear and specific, i didn't have to guess or wonder what the end statement would be. The summer months are busy in the flower business, and despite so many weddings, Allison always returned my calls or emails within a few days. We had huge hanging wreaths and large arrangements that went home with family members after the event, and they continued to enjoy them for nearly a week! We were overjoyed with Allison, her talent, her flexibility and the quality of her flowers. We wouldn't have changed a thing.

I absolutely LOVED the wedding flowers the Allison Ludema designed. She put everything I had envisioned together in absolute perfection! And totally in my low budget! I would absolutely recommend Ludema's to every bride. The only thing was a big time lapse in between emails, which is difficult for a busy bride, but fear not, just TRUST! Working with Allison was wonderful. She really listened to our ideas when we met, and she was great at responding to our emails in a timely manner. We had Free Spirit Roses for the bouquets, and they were absolutely gorgeous! I'm so happy with how they turned out in the pictures.

Allison was wonderful! She was very flexible and very willing to work with us and our ideas. She would take an idea of ours and run with it. We had a winter wedding and she worked with us to be sure we had hearty flowers that would withstand photos outside in the cold without wilting. She also worked really well with our budget and tried to help us find cost effective alternatives. She did a great job and we really appreciate it!

Beyond exceeded expectations!! OBSESSED!

Obsessed is such an understatement when it comes to the floral arrangements that Allison and the Ludemas team created for my wedding! I changed my mind multiple times throughout the planning process, and they always ran with the punches and made the necessary adjustments to help my vision come to life. I requested vibrant fall colors and ikebana-style arrangements with height and movement, and wow… they did not disappoint. The arrangements they created just absolutely blew my vision out of the water, and I wish I could have kept my flowers forever because they were everything!!

Flowers, presentation, baskets for flower girls...everything looked excellent. I would say it was a little pricey however you get what you pay for and our flowers were flawless and beautiful.

I absolutely loved the ideas Ludemas came up with for my flowers on my big wedding day!! I described the arrangements I have always wanted to had, and Allison exceeded my expectations!!! The staff came early, and made sure everything was perfectly set up for me on my big day. They labeled every corsage and boutonniere, and my bouquet was amazing!!!! I absolutely loved it. The mason jars used as the vases for my bridesmaids were a nice touch at the head table, and the clamp that came along with my bouquet allowed me to display my beautiful bouquet to everyone at the head table. The centerpieces and brooches used on the centerpieces were a nice touch as well. Thank you Allison and the Ludemas team for making my day even more special!!! :)

My daughter went to Horrocks in Grand Rapids at first and the florist tried to talk her into using flowers that she really didn't like. She told my daughter that the flowers she wanted wouldn't "hold up". She went to Ludema's and met with Allsion. Allison told her No problem about the flowers and my daughter got what she wanted. Old fashion roses, peonies, monkey tails, etc. Guess what Horrock's, they did hold up! Allison is upbeat and friendly. My daughter showed her a picture of what she wanted and Allison reproduced and came up with more ideas. It was great working with her.
I would recommend her to any one of any budget.

Events by Ludemas really made sure our wedding day was perfect. Allison is fantastic at her job, and even with the craziness of the summer wedding season, she was still able to give our November wedding the time and attention it needed along the way. Allison is a great resource as well, so if you are unsure about certain flowers or how to create a certain look, she will have great recommendations within your price range.

Gorgeous Flowers

Our wedding flowers were amazing! Very flexible when we kept adding or subtracting things from our plans. We had no idea what type of flowers we wanted, but the ones they picked out were beautiful. Email responses can be a bit slow, but just call or set up a video chat and everything will be worked out perfectly.

Luedemas was fantastic in accommodating our short-notice wedding flower arrangements! Allison worked with us via email to make some bouquets that were beautiful for our wedding. The only downside is that the greenery (gunni eculyputus and silver dollar eucalyptus) didn’t hold up well and the bouquets looked droopy for photos a couple hours into the day.

We used Ludema’s for our wedding floral needs. Allison came highly recommended. She is very talented, has many years of experience, yet is still relatable for young brides. Her floral plan was very comprehensive, which I appreciated. I had some last minute changes (every bride’s worst nightmare) and however Allison was flexible and willing to make it work. She does have a team, so it may not be Allsion herself who is setting up your arrangements on the day of, but her team is wonderful. Overall, the arrangements were beautiful. The only detail missed were the ribbons on the bridesmaid bouquets however in the grand scheme of things, this was minute. I would recommend Allison to all West Michigan brides.

We had a great experience working with Ludema's on all of the floral arrangements for our wedding. I met with Allison who soaked up all of my floral inspiration for the wedding and really ran with everything that I wanted to do. She was completely transparent about all of the pricing and in the end we felt like we were able to make a sound decision to get floral arrangements that we loved that were within our budget. She created an amazing eucalyptus garland for our ceremony which we re-used for our runner at the head table. The bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres all looked fresh and full bloomed throughout the wedding day. The only ding to an otherwise 5/5 rating was that it took a while to hear back when I would email with updates or questions. I would definitely recommend Ludema's to a friend!

We signed with Molesta Floral at first and then they went out of business so we signed with Ludema's instead they they were fantastic! I changed my mind about every single type of flower I wanted about 4 weeks before the wedding and they changed my entire quote and got it all right without missing a beat. They were also very flexible with our ideas-- I wanted to build these huge trays and plant wheat grass in them for our cupcake display and they did it without a problem. We had a tiny floral budget too and they totally worked with us. Allison was a it slow on email sometimes (probably because it is hard to keep up with all business!) but she was SO firendly and overall very, very good!!

My Bouquet and my bridesmaid bouquets were gorgeous! She was able to totally bring to life what I had asked for. The price was half of what my first quote was with a competitor. They can take quite some time to respond to e-mail but are always there to answer the phone so I really can't complain. I was very happy with my flowers. Many, many compliments on my centerpieces as well. Allison is very creative, talented and knowledgable! Definately would recommend.

I really enjoyed the flowers that Ludema's did for us. They were more beautiful than I expected. I was disappointed in how long it took for them to respond back to me initially but they did apologize and I did get a discount. I would still recommend them to anyone.

Overall, I was happy with my wedding flowers and I appreciated how flexible the florist was with our budget. Communication was a little difficult - at times emails went 4-5 weeks unanswered. My bridal bouquet was beautiful. Our centerpieces were also gorgeous and they flowers lasted long after the event.

I called Allison about 3 weeks before our wedding to order wheatgrass. I told her that the vases I wanted to put it in were 6 in. tall, so I wanted the grasses to be at least that tall. She told me that it wouldn't be a problem and that they might be taller than I wanted, in which case I could just give them a "haircut". My husband picked them up the day before the wedding, and the grasses were maybe 3 in. tall. With the dirt, they were 4 in. tall. Not only were the grasses shorter than I had asked for, they were very sparse looking. We had to use them though, so we put about 2 in. of rocks and dirt in each vase before putting the grasses in.

It wasn't at all the look I was going for. I was extremely disappointed. I think I would have been better off growing them myself. Allison was very nice, but didn't give me what I had asked for.

Called me the day before the wedding because they changed the actual florist on my account to someone I had never met or talked to.
The bridal bouquet was $250 and supposed to be cascading but so many flowers fell out of it by the end of the ceremony it was just a ball.
