Seriously impressed with Britney as our coordinator.

We got married last August and Britney with Events by Katherine exceeded our expectations as our wedding “day of” coordinator. She went above and beyond for me. Helped solve several hiccups leading up to the big day. And made me feel relaxed and comfortable the day of. This girl knows her stuff and your event will be better with her behind it. I don’t think I could ever write enough about how amazing our wedding coordinator was. Jessica and her team helped make our dream wedding come true and so much more! She was amazing with communication and contacting vendors and being on top of every thing no matter how big or small. She handled little changes or additions we made up to day of like a champion and I could not have imagined having any other person help guide us and be with us day of. It took a while for me to convince my fiancé at first for us to get a coordinator and once we got Jessica he admitted to never being more wrong in his life! He could not have imagined getting through the last 3 months and day of without her!! If you’re on the fence, DON’T BE, Jessica is amazing and I would put all confidence in her that she can make any wedding special for the couple! The best decision I made for our wedding day (besides choosing the person I married of course!) was working with Katherine and her team. My review is long overdue, but I wanted to thank Katherine from the bottom of my heart for being absolutely amazing to work with. From the moment we met her, she was professional, organized, and made the planning process much more straightforward. I truly can't say enough positive things to convey how talented Katherine is as a wedding planner. She was resourceful, calm and detailed throughout the entire process and made sure everything went smoothly. I have since been to a few weddings and, while they were beautiful and enjoyable, I noticed a few hiccups that could have been avoided with an experienced wedding planner. Our wedding was the best day of my life, and I have Katherine to thank for making it one of the most stress-free days as well. I recommend her without reservation to any bride-to-be.

Our venue required a day of coordinator and we also needed advices throughout the planning process so Katherine drafted a service plan that includes day of coordinator along with partial planning services. She is detail-oriented and was on schedule with all the meetings. She provided us a wedding timeline schedule and budget excel sheet to help us along the way. Katherine and her team were fantastic and we're glad to have them taking care of us.

I’m incredibly grateful that Katherine was our day-of-coordinator. Due to some unexpected circumstances, I was without a day-of-coordinator weeks before the wedding. I frantically reached out to Katherine, who I had met 7 months prior at a bridal expo. Not only did she remember me (she must have met hundreds of people since then!), but she also responded the next day and we were able to have a meeting not long after that. She was just as professional, patient, and sympathetic in person, especially during the times when wedding stress was getting the best of me.

Katherine is quick to respond to emails and always kept us up to date. She conducted the rehearsal efficiently, ensuring everyone knew what to do. Everything ran smoothly on the wedding day, all because of Katherine and Jordan (sorry if you spell it differently!). I was able to truly focus on being a bride instead of worrying about the guests, order of events, etc. Katherine approached me periodically throughout the night to ask me how I was doing- she went above and beyond to make sure my wedding day was everything I imagined, and that I remembered to enjoy myself. Katherine is a true professional and is incredibly good at what she does. She is sweet, punctual, and reliable. If you are considering hiring a coordinator, trust the reviews and reach out to Katherine. Her and the team were a true godsend! Katherine Hoggard. What a dream. We cannot say enough good things about the Events by Katherine team! We had a destination wedding in Southern California as we live in Texas, and having Katherine as our planner took away all of those fears of "missing something" by planning a wedding from afar. Alex Armstrong was my coordinator for my October wedding and she was absolutely amazing! I was planning a wedding from across the country and she made the whole process relaxing and fun.

She was in constant communication with all of the vendors and kept eveyone up to date with timelines.

On the day of, Alex, Jessica and Jordan were so amazing! They made sure everything was set up perfectly and helped the whole night run smoothly.

I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for the best wedding help!

Katherine is a true maestro of event planning. To say that she played a critical role in the success of our wedding would be an understatement. Our wedding was so awesome that our friends wish we would do this every 3 years!

We used Katherine’s Full Service Wedding Planning package, which was a great choice. With only 8 months away from the wedding, and nothing booked/bought besides the venue, I was a little bit panicking on the inside. But Katherine calmly helped us create a to-do list and prioritize what needed to be done first. We were faced with so many difficult decisions throughout the process (chicken or fish? Chiavari chairs, yes or no?), but with Katherine’s guidance it all seemed like a breeze. During meetings with vendors, she was very mindful of our preferences and asked the right questions to make sure that we made the right choices.

With Katherine’s help, we were able to have a wedding that we will never forget. Choose Katherine as your event planner, and you will not regret it.

So happy that I found Katherine and her team. Katherine has made my last few months of wedding planning so easy. I love the fact that she's so thorough, she went over every single detail with me during our meeting to ensure that I don't forget anything. She was my point person to all the vendors so I won't be bothered with tons of messages everyday. I've only communicated my vision to her once, and she made my vision come true, my wedding turned out to be exactly how I have imagined, actually even better! Where to begin? Everything Katherine touches turns to gold. She made wedding planning not only effortless, but enjoyable. Katherine is easy to work with, attentive to every last detail, and will give you her honest opinions. I felt completely comfortable sitting back and letting Katherine take the reins. She is also flexible with her time, as well as your budget. More, Katherine has an incredible reputation in the local area. As a result, all of our other vendors were excited to work with her. Her assistants are lovely, too!
I would not change one single detail of my entire wedding. The day was absolutely perfect and stress-free, and I attribute most of that to Katherine. I could not be happier with her services, and I'd recommend her to any couple.

What a pleasure it was working with Katherine this last year or so for my April 23rd 2016 wedding in Costa Mesa, CA. After meeting her, I knew that she would take care of my wedding as if it were her own or her daughter's. Katherine is everything you could ask for in a wedding planner/coordinator especially since my wife and I planned our wedding from out of state. She is very warm, organized, punctual and very professional. Katherine felt like a big sister to my wife and I, always there when we needed her. Whether it was a small maybe stupid question, to a more complicated vendor question about billing, Katherine always had a very sound and reasonable answer and we never had to wait long to hear from her either as she usually go back to us within a day.

Katherine also has very good connections, as she also helped us find a very good DJ, photographer, and cinematographer (the cinematographer liked Katherine so much she gave us a huge discount!). Helping find these key vendors alone already made Katherine worth her weight in gold. However we also needed Katherine for her day of coordination, and let me say she and her team were amazing.

First of all her day of wedding timeline was so organized and detailed that other vendors commented on that her time line/time table was very organized and professional. As a result all the vendors, gifts, music, lighting, and flowers etc were immaculate and ready when we arrived. There were no hiccups everything was smooth as could be. Her assistants Karly and Brianna were on point with everything. It's like they could read our minds, the brought us drinks while taking pictures right when I was just thinking "I'm thirsty I could use a drink". The collected our gifts for us and safely stored them and then even help pack them up at the end of the night. They were all so very polite, professional, and overall a pleasure to work with. So when my friends ask us if planning our wedding was stressful, I reply no because we have a great wedding planner and she is worth every single dollar and I would recommend her to every single friend and family member.

I don't even know where to start to express how thankful I am that I got to work with Katherine. I ended up hiring her for my wedding in October 2015 after thinking that I could plan it myself but due to some unfortuante events I was overwhelmed and needed help. After my first meeting with her I felt completely relieved and confident that she could take over and get everything done. I thought I was organized but Katherine is beyond organized and on top of everything. She did all the coordination and communication with all of my vendors and venue. Katherine saw to all of the details, especially those relating to management of vendors. It was great to have such careful planning. The bridal party appreciated the timetable that she prepared, ensuring that everyone was ready on time. It is of interest to note that hair and makeup for the bridal party were ready a good hour prior to the time for walking over to the ceremony. People were relaxed and ready for the fabulous event. It was great that we could all enjoy each others company without any stress relating to last minute details. I would highly recommend Katherine for planning a wedding or another special event.

The BEST choice I made during my wedding planning! With the stresses involved with everyday life, family and work, it was difficult to also plan a wedding. We were married in a private venue and had to start competely from scratch. Katherine had every logistical issue figured out and our wedding turned out to be a great success. Events by Katherine was wonderful! From the first time we met Katherine we were put at ease and when we met our day of wedding coordinator Christine, the great impression continued. We used their service primarily for coordination on the day of the wedding but Christine met with us way before and was available to us for any questions or needs. Christine stepped in wherever and whenever we needed her which included helping to pick up dozens of bundt cakes on the day of the wedding and the team even had to make an emergency run back to our house to retrieve keys that had been forgotten! We have had several members of the wedding party and guest comment on how wonderful and helpful Christine was and all with a smile on her face and she simply fit right in! We had given Christine some details on reception set up and everything was done exactly as we would have wanted and described. Great attention to details. Thanks to them, the wedding and reception went off beautifully and was great fun! We would highly recommend Events by Katherine and Christine in particular. As a mom of 4 daughters I know that these kind of great finds to help with wedding events are priceless!

Katherine was simply amazing as my event coordinator. I live in AZ and had my wedding in CA so I was not able to be there every step of the way to prepare and plan. Katherine gave me some AMAZING recommendations for a minister, cake, flowers, videographer, violinist and more. Everyone she recommended was outstanding and a true professional!
The day of the wedding she was with me the entire time and she took care of every detail including putting up last minute fires and fulfilling any wish I had.
She made sure the vendors did what they were supposed to be doing, she made sure that everything is set up properly, that my groom is ready and that we keep on schedule.
I had a few dress emergencies that she came fully prepared for and even took stains out of my dress right before I walked down the isle.
I was so extremely impressed with Katherine's services and with how well she was directing everyone. I didn't have to lift a finger or worry about anything during the entire day, ceremony or reception.
Katherine even came in to my honeymoon suite before we retired for the night and decorated it with flowers and candles and made sure it's very special for our wedding night.
I could not think of one thing that I would change or improve on my wedding day and I have to say I am kind of hard to please and very particular about the way things need to be done.
I recommend Katherine to anyone who wants to have an amazing wedding experience and who is looking for a coordinator that will leave you with a complete peace of mind the day of your wedding.

I would not have made it through the wedding planning process without Katherine. She made the process easy and stress free, from finding us the best vendors at the best prices to tackling more difficult issues. The price discounts we got through her more then paid for her own fee. The best wedding planning decision I made was hiring Katherine. If I could do it all over again I would have hired her the day after I got engaged instead of waiting the month to decide if I needed a wedding planner.

The PERFECT wedding planner!!! We are so fortunate to have Katherine as our wedding coordinator. Our wedding at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel was PERFECT! It was katherine and the rest of vendor teams who helped us to make our day perfect. She gave us a classic, elegant and fun experience. All my family and friends said this is "one of the best weddings" or "best put-together wedding" they have attended. They all had fun and enjoyed very much. We know it is because you did a great job of coordinating everything and keep everything in order. The day has gone so fast for us but we can clearly feel the positive energy among our guests. Events by Katherine was a godsend. Their services was one of the best investments my husband and I made towards my wedding. We got married at Aguacate Gardens, in San Jan Capistrano, a breathtaking venue that fitted our personality as well as the need for a truly unique and personal experience. We sought out Katherine after being recommended by Patty, our amazing wedding caterer at Sun dried Tomato restaurant & Catering. Katherine was professional, knowledgeable, and honest. Katherine made the process of planning my dream wedding smooth and enjoyable. She alway answered any questions I had promptly. A bonus was that she was so friendly, easy to work with, and a calming presence when needed. I cannot recommend her enough. She made spot-on suggestions for vendors, handled all the contracts/negotiations, and appeared at every vendor meeting. She also had great staff that helped to run the day with such precision and grace. It was amazing piece of mind to know that this huge event was in such capable hands. I was able to enjoy my day and not stress about anything. Also, based on her planning, recommendations, and advice-- my actual wedding FAR SURPASSED my dream wedding. I can't thank Events by Katherine enough!!!If you are lucky enough to book her, do it ASAP!! It is WORTH it!!!!

Katherine was absolutely amazing. We had one year to plan our wedding. Our fear of using a wedding planner was that they would use their regular vendors. Katherine showed us multiple venues, and we ended up using one Katherine had never been to. She recommended multiple different photographers until we found the right one. The people she did recommend were absolutely amazing and spoke very highly of her services at prior weddings. She was always available by email, or phone/text. We had multiple meetings with Katherine throughout our planning to keep us on our timeline, keep us on budget and to make sure we weren't stressed. We couldn't have had the unforgettable wedding we had without Katherine's help. We totally loved her and totally recommend her.

Our coordinator Ericka was fantastic! We had a Persian ceremony and spread (Sofreh aghd) for which we had Ericka and her team help set up. They were also great with ensuring our day went perfectly from 8:00 am through midnight. Ericka was professional, thorough and just awesome. She also attended our rehearsal and worked with all of our vendors prior to the wedding day (and on the wedding day). We had almost 400 guests and having Ericka there made all the difference. We could not have done it without her!

Initially we didn't believe we needed a wedding coordinator to have a successful wedding; however, the venue we chose for our big day required one. We were provided a list of several wedding coordinators by the venue to choose from, but decided to meet a couple of others we found on our own. We came across "Events by Katherine," after seeing some photos of a wedding she had done at our venue. From our first meeting we knew that they were the right fit for us and decided to hire them immediately. We had multiple meetings over a period of 6 months and during this time Katherine was very flexible and accommodating with our schedules as we were commuting over 90 minutes away for our meetings. Throughout that time, Katherine made sure that we reached our milestones, and if we fell behind, she quickly provided us with suggestions (e.g. selecting vendors) to get us back on track.

On the day of our wedding rehearsal, Katherine took control and managed the entire wedding party providing detailed instructions to everyone and what to expect. Our wedding party and family all noted on how organized and easy the rehearsal was thanks to Katherine's direction. On the wedding day, Katherine arrived an hour earlier than planned to help set-up 1,000 paper cranes we wanted to be displayed and to be hung on an arch at the venue - she didn't have to do that, but Katherine and her assistant did. The wedding went according to the timeline we worked on together, and all the details from assisting family with specials needs to managing the various vendors couldn't have gone any better.

We are so glad we hired Events by Katherine to coordinate our big wedding day. Anybody looking for a wedding coordinator who is not only ambitious, responsible and reliable must hire Events by Katherine!

I am so glad we chose to do a day of coordinator and even more glad we chose Events by Katherine! Katherine was very professional and very organized which made the wedding process that much easier. Events by Katherine was absolutely amazing. I first saw Katherine at the Orange County Bridal Expo in Costa Mesa. She was speaking and explaining what goes on while planning a wedding and the services herself and her employees provide. I was so impressed I booked her a week later.
She did day of coordination for Ryan and I and I also had unlimited email and telephone access. She referred me to the vendors I still needed and helped me with any questions I had along the way. The wedding day was PERFECT. She was so professional and on point, I couldn't have asked for more! The best quality she has to me, is how she makes a bride feel so at ease and calm in certain times of stress or anxiety. She always let's you know that everything is going to be all good! Katherine made my wedding absolutely perfect! I used her full service wedding planning to plan a wedding for 160 people in three months. She helped me find all of my amazing vendors and even got me discounted rates. I loved every vendor she recommended! Hiring Katherine was the best decision I made in this whole process. She helped me to keep my sanity and with so many details I otherwise would not have been able to address. We held our daughter's wedding reception at The Center Club, Costa Mesa, and Katherine came very highly regarded by the Event Directors as an outstanding vendor. Katherine and 2 assistants were so familiar with the venue that she was able to make excellent suggestions as to where the altar flowers should be placed at the reception for the best possible photos. We really appreciated how 2 of her services are to get the wedding gifts to the designated vehicles, and also to rebox and store all of the wedding decorations/items so clean up and departure from the venue is a breeze. It is worth every penny to have Katherine as your Day Of Coordinator so your day is as magical as can be!

My husband and I highly recommend Events by Katherine. Katherine and her assistant were friendly, professional, and on-top of everything. We provided her with our vision and she carried out our dream wedding. I am a very detailed orientated person and I wanted our untraditional wedding to be a very personal experience for our guests. I was the type of bride that thought I could handle everything by myself, but about 4 months from my wedding, I decided that I desperately needed a coordinator, and after searching and reading reviews, I decided on the Day of Coordinator package by Events by Katherine.

Let me tell you - it was the single BEST decision I made for the wedding besides marrying my husband. I truly received so much more than just what my package entailed. From the meeting at their office to our on-site meeting, they made sure to cover EVERYTHING from the biggie issues to the little things like packing to-go meals and water in our getaway car. Katherine herself was a part of my Office and On-site consultation, but my personal coordinator was Ericka. Events by Katherine was even more fabulous in that instead of just Ericka and an assistant, they gave me Ericka and THREE additional assistants to ensure the day was flawless, and it was! I felt so spoiled!

Ericka was fantastic, and the whole team was brilliant from start to finish. SO much went wrong and fell behind the night before the wedding during set-up, that when I emailed Ericka in a panic that night, she chose to arrive even earlier the day of the wedding to take care of the issues. They took care of everything!

Ericka and her team reassured me every step of the way and were so encouraging, upbeat, and thorough in their details. Not only did my ceremony actually start RIGHT on time, but the team worked tirelessly throughout the reception in pointing people in the right direction and even serving pie when our servers skipped out on us! It seemed any time I needed them, they were right there!

I cannot say enough amazing things about these ladies and this company. It is worth every cent, and I truly feel like I got so much more than I could have ever expected. Even my family has raved about how truly remarkable they were from the beginning to the end.

I recommend Events by Katherine to any bride out there!

We were so fortunate to have Katherine as our wedding coordinator! She is professional, detail orientated, talented at what she does, and very friendly. Katherine took a lot of stress away for our wedding planning! She replies to emails within hours -- that is why I picked her. And I think that was a great decision that I made for my wedding.

During the two meetings I had with Katherine, she went through all the details for my big day. She listened to our ideas, and helped me add a special touch. At the first meeting she let me know that I forgot about some things, so that I could work on them. And at the second meeting, she made this very detailed timeline. Katherine also contacted all of my venders for me after the first meeting. So that the last couple days before my big day I did not have any stress! The day of the wedding was stress-free for us because Katherine had every detail covered and because she worked so hard from noon until late in the evening. We could not do it without Katherine. We cannot say enough about how much we valued having Katherine be part of our wedding! We recommend Events by Katherine!

A friend had recommended a wedding planner who turned out to be a total flake . Our wedding was a couple weeks away and she still had not met up with us. Two weeks before our wedding, I decided to look for another planner on the internet. I found Katherine and emailed her hoping she would take on the task of coordinating a big wedding on a short notice. She emailed me right away and met up with me that same week! She was such a professional, taking notes on everything I said and asking questions about every detail of my wedding. She created a wedding time line and contacted all my vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. Our wedding was so well organized and beautifully decorated by her and her team. It was everything I had envisioned, without her help, it would not have been the best day of my life.

At any moment throughout the process where we were uncertain what to do next, or how to handle something, Katherine stepped in respectfully to "save the day" with the perfect solutions or options! Also- She would take the initiative to "make it happen" if needed. Which turns out to be quite a relief when planning a wedding and especially the day of! We would ask, what happens next , or how do we ..... etc. Her response was always a CALM and CONFIDENT "It's all taken care of, you don't need to worry!" Katherine kept us on track when we were falling behind in planning.

Katherine was Incredibly organized. We were beyond impressed with her professionalism and her talent.

Venues, Guests, and vendors respond very well to Katherine and report that she is very easy to work with. Her name is becoming quite known- as we spoke with vendors, many knew Katherine and were excited to work with her again as she also made their jobs easier with her organization and professional planning talents!

Katherine did a fantastic job planning and coordinating our wedding of approximately 180 guests. She really exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any of our friends and family. She was always prompt, courteous, and extremely professional. Katherine also got along extremely well with everyone including our parents, the hotel catering manager, various vendors, etc. Katherine's wedding timeline flowed perfectly and she easily took care of last minute changes with our vendors. We actually found most of our vendors on our own, but the one's Katherine recommended were great too. I got married a few weeks ago in San Clemente and my entire wedding went exactly as planned. I loved every single second of it and I have to thank Katherine and her assistant because they took care of everything for me. All I did was show up and enjoy!

I am a control freak and extremely organized, so I wanted to make sure my coordinator would be as meticulous and organized as me. After my first meeting with Katherine I knew she was even more organized and the perfect person to bring every little detail together on my day. She is extremely professional, she listened carefully to what I wanted and then made me aware of dozens of things I had not even considered. After each meeting Katherine would provide me with a recap of all the things we needed to do and all the ones we had done.

On our wedding day everything went perfectly. I truly did not have to worry about a thing. My fiancé told me later that before I arrived to our reception site he saw Katherine fixing quite a few things that were not going as planned. She was able to find a solution on the spot and work with the vendors to fix things that were not going as I wanted. Through the entire process, Katherine remained very calmed and you can really tell she enjoys the craziness it is to plan a wedding. While she always has a smile in her face and a very pleasant personality, she is also strong enough to manage the vendors and guests with grace.

Hands-down, the best sanity-saving decision I made was to contact Events by Katherine. Not only is she polished, professional and incredibly detail-oriented, she is also friendly and happy to accommodate special requests to make your day truly unique. From suggesting a creative alternative to sand pouring or candle-lighting during the ceremony, to setting up over 100 unalphabetized escort cards, she leaves no stone unturned when it comes to producing a flawless event. Kathrine was amazing! I could not have done it without her. There are so many things I would never have thought of without her. The night before the wedding as we were setting up there were several things I forgot, including napkins and dessert plates. Even thought it was already late and she had a far drive home and had to be back early in the morning, she got up even early to stop by Party City and pick up what we needed. She bent over backwards and sideways to make sure that I could stand up straight. I can't think of a single complaint.

Our day went perfectly to plan with the detailed timeline that was provided. Even though I (bride) may have been running late on the day from make up appointments, Katherine was great in keeping calm and rearranging schedules without me even knowing. She was very very helpful in even the smallest of detail including meals and making sure that I had enough time to eat on the day. Her knowledge of the local area and relationships with local vendors certainly saved us time and money. For every couple that is planning a wedding - this is money well spent! We enjoyed the planning process as it was stress free and more importantly our wedding day!"

Hiring Katherine was one of the best decisions my husband and I made in our wedding planning! Even though we only utilized her "day of coordinator" service, she met with us several times before the wedding and made an extremely detailed timeline for the wedding party to follow. She became familiar with the entire wedding party and made sure our visions for our wedding came to life. I don't think our wedding would have been the same without her. I highly recommend her!!!

We purchased the wedding planner package for our March 2013 wedding. We worked exclusively with Katherine, and she supported us throughout the process. She kept us on track with her task plan, timeline and budget. She helped identify venues, picture locations, and vendors that were flexible and afforably priced. She also acted as our negotiator for the items that we specified were above our priceline. Katherine and her team earned extra points on the day of the wedding as they coordinated the event perfectly and use their creativity to take the decor and make our vision come true. Our wedding day was perfect and Katherine played an important role in making that come true.

Katherine and her team were absolutely incredible! Katherine was such a pro that not once did I have to worry about a thing. She responded to texts/ emails so quickly and had an answer for all my questions. She truly made our special day such a breeze. With her on my side I knew everything would be great and I wasn't wrong. She was incredibly professional but was still able to make my hubby and I feel very comfortable. We couldn't have picked a better person to work with. You can't go wrong with Events by Katherine!!!

I was looking for someone to help with the planning of our wedding. I am a person who needs organization and structure. Without it, I lose my mind. I am also not a creative bride and I am terrible at envisioning outcomes. I really needed the direction of a professional to let me know what needed to be done, when it needed to be done to keep my mind at ease. That's when I went online for my search for a wedding planner. I interviewed 2 other planners at twice the cost and then I found Katherine. Once I found Katherine, we met, I loved her and she immediately began pulling thoughts and ideas together. We used Katherine's preferred vendors, all of whom were very professional and kind. Everyone did a fabulous job. Additionally, my husband was very opinionated in certain aspects of the planning and at times he could be very abrasive and demanding. Katherine handled his overbearing temperment with the utmost professionalism and always went the extra mile to be accomodating. Katherine always made herself available when it was most convenient for us and she would drive out to our area for meetings. On the day of our wedding (9-10-11), Katherine was the first to arrive and the last one to leave. Katherine kept everything on track and orderly. The day/evening flowed absolutely wonderfully. If I were to ever need another event planned, I would definitely use Katherine again.
