    Pleased with my rentals

    Rented a few dozen chairs for our ceremony at the lincoln memorial. Chairs were bright and white and the crew even set them up for me without asking. I rly appreciate it as well as the customer service. I definitely recommend these guys.

    Thank you for saving me!

    James, and team, thank you for making my daughter's graduation ceremony a success. I called them almost last minute due to another vendor cancelling, to the brink of tears because no one else wanted to help, but ERDC said yes when i got no's everywhere else.

    Great Price and Experience overall

    My son rented some wedding decorations, centerpieces and a tent for his gay wedding. I have to say that the customer support I received was top notch. Sales team treated my son like a celebrity and made sure he was completely happy with the rental products before the team left the venue. Since I am the one paying, i had initially asked ERDC to match a competitor's quote. James came back and actually beat it by a few hundred dollars. My son doesn't have a lot of money and every penny counts. I dont think we would have been able to do such a nice event without ERDC's help. I am truly greatful.

    Helpful Sales Team

    I called for chiavari chairs for my fiancé's bachelorette dinner and I had never planned an event before. I spoke to Rob from the sales team and he actually talked me out of renting the chiavari chairs and recommended something more for my budget (resin chairs) I ended up going with the resin chairs and they were perfect.

    Lowest Price but still nice tent

    My new wife and I are young professionals and we needed a wedding tent. We contacted a few vendors like Select and they were ungodly expensive. They wouldn't budge with the price. We called Event Rentals and they worked within my budget ($1750). Tent looked nice.

    Beautiful Tent

    I rented a large tent for my backyard wedding from ERDC. As some of the reviewers were saying, this company is fast and they always answer the phone. It is the reason i booked with them. On top of that, their pricing was very affordable.

    Rented photobooth for fast turnaround

    I had called other vendors about photobooths but literally no one responded in a timely fashion. I called their main line 571-882-1855 and talked to Cha. She was extremely patient and I really appreciated that she sent the quote the same day.

    Helpful Service

    It was my first time planning an event for my kid's first birthday and I honestly didnt know where to start. I found ERDC online and i decided to give them a call. Kevin was very helpful and explained to me exactly what my options were for a $1000 event and he even gave me a moonbounce for 50% off. I will rent again.

    Great prices

    I had a small wedding reception at the DC war memorial. I only needed 25 chairs. I had called several other places and no one was interested in my event. Said that the order was too small. ERDC's team was the only one that actually gave me a quote right away and came out and set up the 25 chairs.

    Helped with Christmas Wedding

    We had a beautiful experience with Event Rentals. We had hired the company to build a tent on a stage for my daughter's wedding. We had never done anything like that before and naturally I was very apprehensive. I spoke to James more than 2 dozen times leading up to the wedding and he was calm and collected and assured me that everything was going to be ok. He even sent his foreman to come out day of, for free! I really appreciated that. The wedding went well, everything worked, and I was very pleased with the overall experience.

    Great value and Great work

    Events Rentals DC set up and took down a few sections of pipe and drape for our indoor wedding in a hotel ballroom in Reston, VA. They were very reasonably priced, dropped off and picked up on time, and were easy to work with.

    Quick response

    I called them the day of, after my original vendor fell thru. Somehow ERDC made things happen and put me on their schedule last minute. They didnt price gouge me either. Very pro.

    Successful wedding

    I had rented chiavari chairs for a wedding at Eastern Market. My fiance had chosen white chairs to match our theme. Our rep, Cha, was so helpful in matching the colors scheme to my vision. They even sent out a representative for free. On the day of the event, Enrique (the lead installer) helped place each chair exactly where we needed it and he waited for the event to finish and even helped with taking out the trash. I really appreciate good service like that. THANK YOUUUUU!

    Spanish Sales Staff

    I know my English not so perfect and I have a problems understanding some words and I call other party rentals company they not understanding what I am needing. I make a call to EventRentals they have Spanish speaking sail team. Milagro she help me rent a tent for my son wedding. Tent was very nice.

    Made My Wedding Beautiful

    ERDC is a hidden gem in the DC area. I had heard of them before, but had not used them previously. However, I decided to give them a try for my wedding. My fiancée had found a 10% off coupon online. I called in, and sure enough they redeemed it. It saved us several hundred dollars! We decided to go with a clear top tent with string lights. My only small gripe was that the lights weren't bring enough but that's ok--Everything else looked so beautiful on our wedding day, especially at night. I could not be more pleased with how smoothly the rental experience was.

    Actually Cared About My Wedding

    My new husband and I recently got engaged. Both of us are hardworking but sometimes budgets can be tight. I called ERDC because they had great reviews and because I had heard that they had helped many couples like me, who don't necessarily have the most money. I spoke with Mille, and she was extremely understanding of my situation. She did not ignore me because of my small order. I had asked for 100 chairs delivered to the DC war memorial. Millie initially quoted $1300 because of the difficulty of delivery, but she worked with my budget to bring it just under $1000. I truly appreciate this.

    Honest Vendor

    I had called Event Rentals and 2 other companies for a quote for my big day. I told everyone that I had 100 guests and I needed a tent large enough (but not too large) to accommodate the guests. Out of the three companies, one comp never responded, the other company tried to oversell me on a tent that was too big. I only found that out when I spoke to James and he explained to me that I only needed a 20x80 tent max, not a 40x80. Instead of paying over $5000, I paid around $2300 and went with ERDC.

    Accommodated Last Minute Wedding

    My new husband and I had reserved a venue and place settings from another vendor in 2019 for our wedding in 2020 which got postponed to 2021. Because of covid the previous vendor did not honor our deposit. We panicked and we called around and ERDC was the only company able to squeeze us in, despite the fact that they were pretty much full. James and Millie were great to work with. The crew was on time and helpful.

    Professional and Well Priced

    I used ERDC for our vow renewal this year. I worked with Valery and James. They both were professional and explained everything to me in an easy to understand way. Their tent was a kind of out of my budget but James actually gave me a great deal and made it work. Thank you so much!

    Nice Clear Tent For Wedding

    Thank you ERDC for making my wedding a reality! Honestly, they were the only vendor that actually picked up the phone and took my call. Everyone else blew me off. I wanted something chic and elegant for my wedding and I had asked for a clear tent. James was very friendly and guided me through the whole process. In the end I decided to go with the 30x20 clear tent with hanging lights and some cocktail tables for my guests. The tent looked wonderful with the lights. The crew was on time and even helped me move some of the furniture in my yard! I tipped them each $20 as well. Overall, great service, very nice price, cool tent and I am so happy I called them.

    Thanks for the great wedding and honoring vets

    I had called ERDC about my son's wedding last year. I spoke with Valery and James and both of them always were so attentive to detail and always answered my calls, and if I could not reach either of them, someone always called me back. I rented a tent, table and chairs and they gave me a fair price and threw in a good discount because of my son's service in Iraq. On the day of the event, 2 crews came and set up a 40x80 tent with lights. I had a little bit of a problem communicating with the crew, but James and the team sorted that out. Event went flawlessly. My son and I could not be more pleased. Thank you for the excellent service and for honoring us.

    Some major issues

    I normally don't write reviews, especially not bad reviews but I had to let you all know. First the positives: They arrived on time, had a nice set up and had lots of props.

    This company did NOT respond to any of my e-mails. I did not get a sample of what photo strip would like ahead of time. There was a type-o on it!
    Also, we were given a four hour time slot and the guy asked to leave early when our guests were still there. Additionally, the photo quality was all blurry.

    Sadly, I spent around $400 and I feel like it was a waste of money in the end.

    Affordable but didn't bring half of my order

    I decided to order from Event Rentals DC because their chairs are significantly cheaper than other rental companies in the area and I did not feel like spending a ton of money on chairs. In addition to the chairs, I ordered gold chargers for the table settings at our wedding. On the day of, Event Rentals DC completely forgot to bring the chargers to our event and made no effort to go get the chargers to bring to our event. Our day-of coordinator ended up ordering chargers at double the price from another rental company, who sent them over immediately. The most disappointing part of the process, however, was Event Rentals DC's response to all of this. Nobody from the company reached out to us to apologize or offer a refund, which in my view, should have been done the moment that they realized they messed up. Finally, I emailed them approximately a week and a half after our wedding. At that time, they offered to refund us for the chargers we prepaid for. I told them that I expected them to pay the cost of replacement, which they eventually did and we did receive that amount about five weeks after our wedding. While everything worked out, I do not trust this company as reliable or responsive.

    Avoid this company at all costs!

    NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I made a small order from this company (around $500) and spoke to who I thought was the owner James Hill, as he said he was the owner. He stated one price for delivery over the phone and when I got the quote it was a higher amount, although he knew all the details when he quoted over the phone. However, I was short on time for a planned event so I went forward and ordered the pipe and drapes.

    On the day before the this company brought the flimsiest and most see-through drapes to my venue (even though I ordered opaque drapes in the contract) because they were covering windows. Additionally, the drapes were not the size I ordered. I called James Hill while the delivery men were with me there and he said he would try to fix it and call me back. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK and stop answering my calls as the delivery men just sat there. So I could not accept the drapes and had to cancel entirely.

    To add insult to injury, I had to engage my bank to dispute the charge because they refused to refund my money (for THEIR mistakes). AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

    Beware of this company!

    Please beware of this company & read the reviews!!! I ordered 45 resin chairs for my bridal shower. However, on the day of, they delivered dirty, rusty/bloody chairs, with some even having bird poop on them! I was soooo embarrassed and disappointed because we’ve planned this event for MONTHS! This company failed to communicate with me that they didn’t have the chairs after I already PAID THEM!! How can you treat customers like this? You take their money and don’t deliver what they paid for? I CALLED THEM SEVERAL TIMES TO RECTIFY THIS ISSUE BUT NO ANSWER! I EVEN EMAILED THEM AFTER CALLING THEM TO CALL ME…BUT STILL NO CALL! Instead they tried to email me saying the last customer didn’t return the chairs on time. Is this the type of service you want from a veteran owned business? This place is EXTREMELY fraudulent!! They have YET to refund me my money after they said they would! I will NEVER do business with this place again. Worst veteran owned business I’ve ever encountered.

    Beware of this vendor

    Do NOT rent from this company. We reserved pipe & drape for our wedding in August. The vendor arrived on the morning of our wedding with the wrong size, and it was too late to resolve the issue. After months of meticulous planning, we had to do without our backdrop with no notice, which changed the look of our entire ceremony and reception. It is now two months after the wedding, and the company still has not issued a refund of our deposit and has stopped communicating altogether -- the absolute worst customer experience. It's borderline fraudulent.

    Horrible experience - do not use.

    1) The chairs delivered for my wedding were filthy. I was shocked when my planner told me that many chairs were covered in dirt and bird dung. She (along with help from the venue staff) spent over an hour cleaning them.

    2) Three separate chairs COLLAPSED while our guests were sitting on them. The guests literally fell to the floor! I feel lucky that, thankfully, nobody has reported any serious injury, apart from being shaken by this. I witnessed one of the chairs breaking underneath someone and was appalled and mortified.

    3) We raised these extraordinary problems with the manager and other staff of Event Rentals. Although our wedding planner told us they initially promised to give us a full refund, they now refuse. We are stunned by their reaction. Our contact, James Hill, admitted there were lapses in their quality control. He admitted the chairs were not checked prior to my event and claimed he fired people over this. He now is denying this and says the chairs were fine. He is citing "improper use" of the chairs -- sitting is not improper use.

    I noticed the chairs were dirty even before I knew my planner had spent time cleaning them (above and beyond her duties(. I was mortified when I noticed the stains on people's chairs (including my own). As the bride, I am horrified at this. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

    Chair Rental for Daughter's Weddding at Sequoia Restaurant

    We were terribly disappointed with the dismal, dirty and dangerous quality of the chairs Event Rentals DC delivered to our daughter’s wedding at Sequoia Restaurant in June 2024.

    First of all, the chairs were filthy. We were appalled to learn many of the chairs and cushions were covered in dirt and bird dung. Our wedding planner, with help from Sequoia staff, had to spend over an hour cleaning them.

    What's worse, 3 separate chairs COLLAPSED while our guests were sitting on them. The guests literally fell to the floor! One of these chairs collapsed just before the wedding ceremony started. This of course caused a scene as people scrambled to figure out what happened. (One chair even collapsed under a guest sitting at our table.) Needless to say, a chair suddenly collapsing while someone is sitting on it is a major safety hazard. Many elderly guests attended our daughter’s wedding, and could have been badly injured. We feel lucky that, thankfully, nobody has reported any serious injury, apart from being shaken by this.

    We raised these extraordinary problems with the manager and other staff of Event Rentals. Although our wedding planner told us they initially promised to give us a full refund, they now refuse. We are stunned by their reaction. They don't seem upset that 3 of their chairs had literally collapsed with our wedding guests sitting on them. They acknowledge that they delivered dirty chairs, but say that we should have asked for replacement chairs. There was no time for any delivery of replacements — and that doesn’t address the fact that the chairs collapsed.

    My wife and I are both attorneys, and we are not the kind of customers who make unreasonable demands. Neither of us has even written a negative review before, for any company. However, Event Rentals’ performance here was so sloppy and dangerous that we think it's important to share our experience.
