Thank you DJ Russ & Event Concepts!!

DJ Russ was our DJ, and he kept our dance floor FULL! He’s a pro, and he was able to expand our short inspiration playlist into a full night of dancing and fun. He captured our vibe so well, and did a great job of balancing the music for our multi-generational crowd. Plus, he continuously communicated with us and our coordinator before and on the day to ensure we were all on the same page. We had a great experience working with him and his team!

Best DJ ever!

We had the best time with DJ Michael at our wedding! From our initial booking call with Jamie, we felt very confident in the company and upon getting to know my now-husband and I and our vision for our wedding, she hand picked DJ Michael for us. In continuing the planning process with Melissa and DJ Michael himself, they were very thorough in ensuring they had all of our requests and timeline correct and were very dedicated to giving us a personal experience and ensuring our wedding was the best day of our lives - which it was! We received so many compliments throughout the night and the days following from our guests at how fun Michael was and how perfect his playlist was for our crowd. Thank you Event Concepts for everything!!

DJ Russ is the absolute best.

DJ Russ is the BEST, we cannot recommend him enough. He has incredible reviews for a reason. He went above and beyond to help us execute our vision, gave incredible recommendations, and went out of his way to help make sure our night was running smoothly beyond just the incredible DJing. Our dance floor was full the whole night and we got the exact “party” we were hoping to have for our wedding reception. If you’re not sure, stop looking and go with DJ Russ. 10/10 recommend and would not hesitate at all to have him again should we need DJ services again in the future.

DJ Russ is the best!

DJ Russ was the highlight of our wedding! He tailored the music to our preferences, and he did an excellent job communicating along the way. DJ Russ brought the energy and kept the dance floor full all night! We agree with a previous review that says, 'If DJ Russ isn't available on your wedding date, then change your date!'

DJ Russ is a millenial wedding's dream DJ!

DJ Russ was the life of our party. Talking to DJs was maybe my least favorite part of wedding planning, but when we finally got to calling Event Concepts we were done! It was so easy from there on. Jamie was super helpful in the planning process and we were able to give our DJ choice by their grest blurbs on the website... and then DJ Russ CRUSHED it. The entire night. Our guests kept coming up to us asking if we had chosen every song because the whole night was just perfect song after perfect song for our friend group (we hadn't, DJ Russ just got our vibe from our earlier conversations and really read the room perfectly the entire night). I am still floored by what a great DJ he was and how professional he was the entire night, checking in on us, make sure he was pacing the wedding the way we wanted!

Fantastic!!!

Dear Event Concepts,

DJ Russ was absolutely fantastic!! Robert and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the music and atmosphere. Not only did DJ Russ follow Robert and I requests, he kept up with the energy and enthusiasm of the crowd. Our guests were raving about how amazing our DJ was and the fact that he transition between songs were smooth and fun. DJ Russ also gave us the special moment for our first dance and let our uncle sing. We love love our DJ and will definitely use him again for any future events. Thank you so much for everything!!

They brought the PARTY!

We had DJ Russ and if I'm being honest, I was nervous. I had such a specific idea of how I wanted the music to be that I wasn't sure if it would be pulled off. DJ Russ brought the HEAT! Everyone was on the dance floor and busting a move. Everyone told us it was the most fun they had at a wedding. It was 100% club vibes which is what I was going for. Additionally, I had the photobooth and the pictures were such high quality! Overall, if you're looking to have a party, for a reception, hire DJ Russ from Event Concepts

Great DJ to book!

Working with Event Concepts and DJ Russ was a great experience!! They had us fill out a detailed questionnaire going over song choices, timeline, expectations, etc. a few weeks prior to our wedding day. The week of we had a phone call meeting with DJ Russ confirming everything and made us feel at ease.

On the day of our wedding everything went so smoothly. The song selections we had discussed prior were played just as expected. DJ Russ had everyone instantly on the dance floor and kept playing great music throughout the night! Could not recommend DJ Russ enough along with Event Concepts!! Definitely book for your wedding or next event!

When your DJ Could have also been your guest

We got along with DJ Russ from our first call. It was obvious that he completely understood us and our vision and did everything that day to make it all come to life. If we'd known him before this process, he would have been on our guest list because he was so much fun! Our group was not super 'dancy' but DJ Russ went over and above to interact with everyone! We could not have been happier!!

DJ Russ was the best!!

DJ Russ was amazing and knew how to keep my guest on the dance floor!! My husband and I are country fans and i knew we needed a variety of music so I told Russ "this is your specialty and I trust you" and it was the best! Both sides of the family were having a great time and I've had multiple people tell me they loved the DJ. Cannot recommend Event Concepts and DJ Russ enough!!

My Mother In Law Loves Russ!

I mean, what more can I say? My mother in law will not stop raving about what a fantastic DJ Russ is. And she’s right. He had so many ideas, he provided so much entertainment and fun, and he kept my 50ish guests moving, playing and enjoying. (It felt like we had hundreds of guests with as full as he kept our dance floor!) Lots of things are important when planning a wedding, but your DJ is probably the most impactful vendor you will hire. Don’t miss out. Hire event concepts. If Russ is busy on your wedding day, change your date!

Great Experience

DJ Michael was phenomenal! He was very good on getting all the music played and getting the wedding party and guests excited for the reception. He does a wonderful mix and listens to what you do and don’t want to be played. I would love to have him at any event and he has a very nice speaking voice.

This DJ brought the PARTY!

We had Event Concepts as the DJ and Photo Booth at our wedding and we were absolutely amazed with how wonderful this group was. We had Steve as our DJ and he truly brought the party to our reception. Everyone came up to us after the wedding sharing it was the best DJ they had ever seen and had never seen that many people on the dance floor. DJ Steve facilitated line dances and choreographed dances that had everyone on the dance floor. The highlight of our wedding was the lip sync battle between the girls and guys. Event Concepts also provided an amazing projection of our names on the wall as well as uplights to match the color scheme of our wedding. DJ Steve was incredibly kind to us from the start! He was recommended to us by my cousin and we were so happy to meet him and his team at a wedding expo. They provided fantastic communication and the meeting with Steve before our wedding proved that the team was going beyond our expectations to ensure our day was special. We did not have a specific wedding coordinator to ensure the schedule was kept on track, but Steve made sure that everything was on track throughout the reception and made announcements. We were blown away by how much fun we and everyone else had with Steve as our DJ. He had a great feel of the crowd and would play songs that everyone seemed to enjoy! He also honored our requests for certain songs not to be played. The photobooth was also an incredible addition to our reception. The team worked with us to design the border and even helped us create a memory book that we provided so that we would receive a copy of each of the photo booth strips that we could look back on. I cannot thank this group enough for making sure our reception was perfect - from the run of the show, to the lights, and the music. I have people to this day talking about the DJ from our reception. We were all smiles on the dance floor on our big day! I highly recommend this team as they bring great energy, professionalism, and fun to any occasion!

Amazing Wedding DJ

Event Concepts was amazing regarding communication, assistance and understanding. They were excited to help me find the best package for my wedding size and budget and celebrate the event with me. They were very understanding when I needed to change my date and location due to issues with Covid and travel restrictions.
DJ Russell was the MC in our wedding and he was more than amazing, he gave us a call a few days before to understand better what we wanted, we used our music list to create a great environment, he did an amazing job to hype up our guests and always had the most amazing attitude and respect.
I have to admit I danced the night away in my wedding and couldn't have asked for a better DJ.
I would absolutely recommend them for any wedding!

Wonderful DJ!!

DJ Russ really made our wedding special! He was in constant contact with us throughout the night, making sure we were on schedule and accommodating all of our last-minute changes. He was set up well in advance of our event and did an excellent job with the music selection. Our guests were dancing all night!
Also have to give a special shout-out to Ashlie who answered all of our questions in a timely manner and helped us pick out a photo booth that was perfect for our guests!

Great time, Great Vibes

Ashlie was so great to work with and was on point with quick responses. DJ Michael came out and was super cool to have around and work the event with. He didn't need any type of guidance on what to do or when to do things. He had everything ready to go and kept us informed on when big dances were coming. Was super great and got everyone out of their seats and everyone had a smile on their face. Exactly what we wanted in a DJ

One of best decisions!

Russ was amazingly organized and professional and checked in with me all night to make sure I knew how on or off schedule I was running and was quickly able to make any changes I wanted on the fly. He had amazing energy and did a ridiculously amazing job playing the music to keep the party going for the reception. I had multiple people tell me how amazing the music was and did a great job blending more traditional wedding dance music and Latin music. We had a small wedding and he was able to make it feel like a big party and got people dancing on the floor all night.

Best dj company around!

We hired event concepts for our wedding and our DJ was Sarah!!!! The entire experience was fantastic. The hiring process was easy. Ashlie made my experience fantastic when it came to picking the right DJ for my wedding & doing all of our contract process. Sarah our DJ was amazing! So energetic, got our quests up & dancing. DJ Russ - Stole our Hearts!

My husband and I planned a destination wedding, we living in MI and planned to get married in Orlando, FL. As many in the same situation can relate we were nervous booking vendors, as we did not really know what to expect. My husband and I, also had a small guest list (14) to be exact, mostly family and 2 couple friends.

DJ RUSS MADE OUR BEACH "RECEPTION" UNFORGETTABLE!!!! Prior to our special day, DJ Russ and I had a conversation about the timeline, music choices, vision of our reception, etc. He was incredibly organized and made any changes I mentioned easy and complete. Having a unique situation, I mentiond to DJ Russ, no one is going to dance so we just want some cool music we can sing to and have going in the background. With our 14 guests, we had mostly family, and the ages ranged from 11+. I did not even have a vision, I was sort of like... lets go with the flow. DJ RUSS TOOK OUR SMALL PARTY AND FOR 4 HOURS WE DID NOT STOP DANCING!!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Our small reception turned into someone we never could have ever dreamt of! He took our vibe, music we liked, and the engery of our guests and TURNED IT INTO A PARTY!! It was like he knew us, and knew what we would all enjoy.

I cannot RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ENOUGH! Absolutely AMAZING!!! With them you are in great hands!

Phenomenal DJ company!

From the beginning, Ashlie did a phenomenal job of communicating with us and helping us set up the details for our special day. Little did we know, 48 hours before our wedding, our day of wedding coordinator would be hospitalized and unable to move forward with our wedding. Our coordinator asked Ashlie to step in and step in she did. She was there from our rehearsal and through the entire wedding day working with us to make sure everything went off without a hitch! On top of that, DJ Russ did a phenomenal job keeping our guests entertained as well as accommodating to our requests to incorporate instrumental songs for our subtle Star Wars theme. Our guests raved about both Ashlie and Russ and we too could not be more grateful for them. This company is professional and affordable and we will continue to sing their praises!

Unfortunately due to covid we had to cancel our wedding but from the start Ashlie was amazing ! Amazing Service!

I hired Event Concepts for DJ and lighting services for my wedding and I could not have been any happier with the quality and level of service I received! Ashlie was the first representative we spoke with and she was amazing at explaining everything, was very responsive and answered all of our questions. DJ Russ MC’d for our event and he was very talented and took the time to check in with us throughout the entire night and was very observant of the mood in the room to keep the energy up and everyone engaged and on the dance floor. Not to mention DJ Russ incorporated all of our mini-events throughout the night! I highly recommend Event Concepts to anyone in need of the perfect experts to make their event wonderfully memorable!

Excellent service and awesome DJ!

Everyone that I worked with at Event Concepts was great. Ashlie who handled all the administrative work was very responsive and help in getting my paperwork processed. When we had to delay our wedding due to COVID, Steve Dunlop called me to reassure me that our DJ will be available on our new date and that our wedding will be great. Our reception was 5hrs long and I was worried about our guests getting bored especially that our guests ages ranged from young to old. However, DJ Scott was amazing! He kept our guests energized the whole time! He had our guests play a lip sync contest between a group of guys vs. girls and it was the most entertaining event at the reception. There was never a time the dance floor was empty. Our package also included incredible lighting, dry ice, and confetti cannons. I would recommend Event Concepts to anyone who is looking for a professional, dependable company with an awesome team of DJs.

The Best DJ We Have Encountered

Event Concepts is an amazing company overall. They are super transparent, and worked with us. They have multiple DJs within their company. Our DJ was DJ Russell, who was beyond amazing. Everything ran smoothly because of him. From the ceremony to reception. Our Pastor who was our officiant even commented on how amazing Russell was. All of our guests were talking about him. We had DJ Russell, plus their uplifting package, plus their amazing photo booth. I can't help but say amazing, because it was just that....amazing!!!

Amazing DJ Russ!

We chose DJ Russ for our wedding reception and he was awesome! Before our wedding day, he walked us through how the reception would be and recommended different options. We asked for a high energy DJ and he came in strong! He kept everyone dancing throughout the night and he added different games such as lip sync battle, bride and groom shoe game (hilarious for guests), song hits through the decades, and even different dance routines that he walked the party through. Amazing!

Event Concepts saved my day. I learned 5 days prior to my wedding that the DJ I had booked and paid had passed away. I called Event Concepts based off reviews and was blown away from start to finish! I was able to book a DJ on short notice, and had the absolute pleasure of working with Scott who was AMAZING. I had a small intimate wedding with a group I wasn't sure would be overly interactive in dance, Scott got everyone going and exceeded my expectations. As the bride I danced all night and had the time of my life. Thank you Scott & Event Concepts for saving my wedding and being part of making it the best day of my life!

I can't say enough about the Events Concepts team! The owner Steve, from the beginning, was extremely professional and very knowledgable about his craft. He assured me and my now-husband that we would be in the best of hands. We questioned the need for two DJ's at first, but he as so gentle in providing us guidance on this and that having the right amount of team members was to our benefit. Yep! I'm so glad we listened. Adriana, I believe the office manager, was so patient with me. I mean... not only did we call them late, but I gave her the itinerary late and asked her for a photo booth two days before the wedding. AMAZING!

Russell was our DJ for the ceremony - Killed it! Our music was simple, but he had the timing down perfect. He showed up on time, dressed professionally, and connected with my husband before the ceremony to make sure the timing was down packed. He made such an impression on our guests that one asked for his information (and this gentleman was a big wig in the area, so he is not easily impressed). At the reception, Russel stood in as our photo booth attendant because of that last-minute request. Thank you so much Russel1

Scott was our reception DJ. Again - Nailed it. We didn't really have a list of songs to play. Whatever the crowd was feeling, go for it. We had our sorority (Zeta Phi Beta) and Fraternity (Phi Beta Sigma) dance. Those were great. Our family danced the ENTIRE night. The only time they left the dance floor was for our deep dish skill cookies ( we didn't want a cake) and the last call for alcohol. The venue had to literally kick us out. Wow! We had SOO MUCH FUN.

Thank you to the entire team for making our night the wedding to remember! Seriously, don't even waste your time with other overpriced DJ's!!

Steve is the best!!

We got the pleasure of working with Steve for our October 10th 2018 Disney wedding. Steve was quick to respond to emails and very informative. He had my husband and I fill out a reception timeline and also send a list of our favorite songs and made everything so easy. I was very nervous that not many people would dance during our reception but Steve worked his magic and everyone was on the dance floor! Dj scott king is truly the king

Perfect DJ for our Wedding!

We chose DJ Steve Dunlap for our Disney World wedding in April and we were SO glad that we chose him. From the very beginning of working with him, everything was so easy and straightforward in the way of selecting songs. We were worried because our group was relatively small (30 people) and we didn't know how dance-y they would be, so Steve helped us with ideas for wedding games that he could facilitate during the reception which was fantastic. In the end, however, Steve was able to get pretty much all of our guests on the dance floor. We were amazed and so happy! All of our guests thought he was fantastic and we couldn't agree more. We highly recommend DJ Steve!

So Much FUN!!

Event Concepts did a wonderful job providing music and lighting for my wedding. We had DJs Luis and Sumi and they were so much fun! They had such a great music selection, which was important since we had a culturally diverse group. Afterwards I had several of my family members say how much fun they had, and of course that was due to great music!

Unbelievably Good

Steve is a badass. He gave us complete control of the music which we handed right back to him saying that we just wanted everyone to dance. Every single person at our wedding danced. Steve was kind and understanding through our entire planning process. He put together a custom mashup song for us for a surprise dance for our guests and worked with us to get it perfect. He even went to the dance floor himself and taught all our guests dances through the decades. We had such a great time and could not recommend Steve and Event Concepts any higher. Hire him today!

Our friends and family cannot stop talking about our wedding, and we owe all of that to Steve! WOW! is all I can really say. We used event concepts for uplight and DJ service (ceremony and reception) and this was by far the best decision we made when it came to our wedding. Steve is THE BOMB! Everyone had a blast at the wedding and it was largely due to Steve involving everyone in our reception. We always hear that people remember only a few things about a wedding, and music is one of them. Steve nailed it! Even the people who do not normally dance were up and dancing at our wedding (my father did not stop dancing, he broke a MAJOR sweat). Prior to the wedding, Event Concepts sent us over a packet of information to fill out with the details of our wedding. It was a very thorough packet, and from there they put together a timeline of the evening for us. We also spoke with Steve beforehand to go over that timeline, he is so personable, he made even the planning part fun for us. I cannot thank Steve enough for making our wedding such a night to remember. If we could have another wedding reception we would make sure Steve was there-EVERYONE is still talking about the lip sync battle he set up for us. Highly, highly recommend!

We hired Event Concepts for several things: ceremony sound (perfect!), up-lighting (dramatic!), photo booth (so fun!) and a sparkly dance floor (show stopper). This dance floor isn't just white lights, it's all different colored lights that are operated by a technician. It was amazingly beautiful. I don't have pictures yet but I'll add them when I get them. The photo booth was great too with lots of fun props that were very clean and in pristine condition. I would hire them again in a heart beat!

DJ Steve was AMAZING. Ryan was there with him and he was so great too! They kept the party going all night, the dance floor was never empty! My guests were talking about them for weeks, our wedding was two months ago and people STILL talk about them! The whole process was so easy, from the quote to the final invoice. Hiring Steve was probably the best decision I made during the wedding planning process. I wanted everyone to keep dancing and he did that! He nearly danced me to exhaustion because it was just so much fun I couldn't sit down! I had some geeky music choices and he made them happen along with great suggestions for when I was struggling to choose. He was also very affordable! You won't go wrong choosing Steve to DJ your event. Plus he did some great uplighting.

Fantastic service all around! I used Event Concepts for my DJ, up lighting, cake pin, name in lights, DJ light cover and photo booth. Adriana was my main contact person via email. She was extremely helpful with answering all of my questions and concerns. The name in lights is truly a beautiful and elegant touch that I think all brides should add. The up lighting definitely gives the room a special ambiance. Event Concepts photo booth is top quality! I have seen other weddings photo booths, as well as their picture strips, and nothing compares to Event Concepts! The customize details on the photo strip and the quality of the photo booth is amazing. The day of my wedding I was lucky to have both Steve & Luis DJ/ MC my wedding. I have to say they did a marvelous job, from the moment the music at my reception began my guest were singing along and there was always someone on the dance floor. Steve gave us a workout on the dance floor with a showcase of different dances he taught us. The music at my reception was everything I wanted and the energy was high, just what I asked for. Steve is wonderful, I highly recommend! He was the DJ at a friend's wedding and I knew I had to have him at ours. He created a father/daughter mix based on songs I sent him overnight and sent it back to me so we had plenty of time to practice with it and didn't even charge me extra for it!

He perfectly nailed the playlist we would have picked our selves for dinner before getting the party started. A DJ makes sure music is playing the whole time, a good DJ interacts with the crowd, Steve takes it one step further making the garter removal a mission impossible themed attraction, has your guests dancing in conga lines all through the ballroom, and forming a dance off circle to make sure everyone is on the dance to close out the night.

If you want to not have to worry about if your dancing machine guests are enjoying themselves just as much as the wallflowers at your wedding you should definitely book Event Concepts!

I can't recommend DJ Steve enough! He had all of our guests (even the non-dancing family members) up on the dance floor as he led them through fun dance moves to kick off the dancing after dinner! Later in the night, he MC'd (and served as judge of) a group lip sync battle-- women vs. men. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! We had our guests send song requests to us with their RSVP cards, so I sent the list of songs to Steve to incorporate throughout the night, and he did it perfectly! When the best man mentioned break dancing with the groom in his toast, DJ Steve pulled up the perfect breakdancing song following the toast, so my hubby and his best man had to show off their moves... moves they hadn't done in 14 years! It was the best spontaneous addition to our reception and certainly led to lots of laughs. You and your guests will have an absolute blast if you hire Steve as your DJ/MC!

Being our event was for a vow renewal and a smaller group, we were concerned if having a DJ would be awkward. Steve vastly exceeded our expectations and we are so happy we went with him, his music selection and upbeat manner appealed to everyone at the event. Even days after the event people would mention to us how well he did and that they were amazed how he got everyone, and I mean everyone out on the dance floor for the last couple of songs! If we ever have an event in the area again he will be our first call. Our event was selected by Disney to be featured as one of their top events for their weddings blog and we believe in no small part this is owed to the success we had with Steve. Thank you!

Steve Dunlap was our wedding DJ. We attended a family member's wedding he DJ'd; he was fantastic and we knew we had to book him. He was absolutely fabulous. We were concerned about our guests making it through a late night and he had everyone engaged and entertained and partying into the wee hours of the morning. There wasn't a single song he played we didn't love and even the sillier moments (like the most epic battle of the sexes lip sync battle of all time) were memorable and made it the best party of our lives. The party never stopped and we all still talk about how much fun the night was. Steve was amazing, but caution, only book him if you want to have the best time ever.

We used event concepts for our Photo Booth and absolutely love them! They were so great to work with from start to finish, such a friendly and professional company, they always seemed excited every time we corresponded they didn't treat us like just another customer they always made us feel special. On the day of the wedding to see the photo booth set up was such a pleasant surprise it far exceeded our expectations, they had such great props in such great backgrounds to choose from and different options that during taking the pictures I guess could make it colored or black and white and they all loved it. The attended who worked our Photo Booth was the best she was super friendly and helpful and helped our gift put together our photo guestbook as they went along and seemed super excited the whole time. We love that not only did our guest get a copy of your photo but we got a copy of their photo and a digital copy of the photos. I 110% recommend that concepts for all of your wedding needs, especially Photo Booth!!

Steve and Adriana were SO easy to work with and my event was PERFECT. They listened to our ideas and followed through on all of them. We got to incorporate all the songs we wanted to and they tailored the rest of the reception so that everything flowed well. I got so many compliments on how everything kept moving, it didn't get stagnant, and how great the music was. We opened up the reception with a group dance that got everyone on the dance floor and then the party got started by there. Steve kept checking on us throughout the night to make sure that we were happy with what he was doing. The photobooth was a HUGE hit-- they gave us hard copy of every photo at the end of the night. I can not even put into words how amazing both Steve and Adrianna Dunlap were not only during our wedding but throughout the whole planning process. I was directed to look into hiring Event Concepts by a venue that we were considering. I emailed the company and within five minutes, my phone rang. Steve ran through how he typically works, the pricing, and what else they offer. I was put right at ease. We booked Steve pretty early on in our planning process. Between he and Adrianna, we never had an unanswered question. They were so thorough on the playlist and song choices. On the day of our wedding, they were there early, setting up and both personally came up to me to introduce themselves and say some kind words. Steve did an AMAZING job at getting our guests up and dancing. He had people that we didn't think would even dream of dancing, dancing. He picked all the right songs and kept the beat going. We have had several people ask who our DJ was and I don't hesitate to direct them in Steve's direction. We will 100% be hiring him again if the opportunity for a DJ presents itself! DJ: We met with Steve based on a referral from a friend and I'm glad we did! He was extremely nice and after negotiating a price within our budget, we booked his DJ, Luis--one he thought would meet our needs based on our desires. Not meeting the DJ you book seemed risky at first but throughout all of the planning Steve and Adriana were great and answered any questions we had. Although still a little nervous, the week before our wedding we talked to Luis on the phone and couldn't have been happier! He was very professional, articulate and knowledgeable. He helped work out our timeline, suggested songs when we needed it and even managed to put together a special mother dance medley of 2 songs that I threw at him just the night before our wedding!! His energy level was perfect and he went with the flow, checking with us the entire night. The shoe game we played was a hit!! He was great!! We have no doubt that with Steve's high standards & expectations any DJ he has on his team would be a pleasure to work with!

Photobooth: Event Concepts was also able to accommodate a VERY last minute request for a photobooth and I am so glad we chose to do it! The photo quality was great, the accessories and props were fun and we got a file with all of the photos within a week or so of the wedding! The background was white and basic (perfectly what I wanted!) and the guests loved it!

For our wedding this past November we went with Event Concepts to provide 20 uplights for our reception, and DJ services for our outside ceremony and inside reception. Our DJ was named Melody. She was amazing!! We were so nervous as you know a DJ can make or break your reception. We had so much fun, and everybody danced all night. Melody came out and lead the dances for people who did not know the moves for the thriller, chacha slide, etc. She also was awesome about taking requests and making sure everyone was involved and having fun. We would recommend anyone to Event Concepts for their DJ services!

We used event concepts and worked with Steve Dunlap for our DJ, Ceremony music, and Up-lighting. Steve met with us prior to signing any contracts or making any down-payments to make sure he would be a good fit for our wedding. He is extremely out going and has a fantastic attitude. The up-lighting was beautifully done and the ceremony music was perfect, but the best part of the night was the Reception! Steve had our guests dancing from the very beginning until the very end. All of our guests had wonderful things to say about Steve and how it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. He had all sorts of tricks to keep people moving and having a wonderful time. If you are looking for a DJ I highly suggest Steve Dunlap and Event Concepts he was worth every penny

After meeting with a few DJs in the Orlando area, we chose Event Concepts for their price, professionalism and overall positive and fun energy. They were a great fit for us. Working with Event Concepts, Steve and Adriana Dunlap and DJ Scott King for our wedding was such an amazing experience from beginning to end. We are beyond satisfied with the level of customer service and care they provided for our special day. Scott King brought such energy and fun to our reception, we really couldn't be happier. Steve was absolutely amazing at our Fairy Tale Disney Wedding. We have gotten so many compliments on him. He kept the whole day going and we had the time of our lives. I was very nervous about my first dance with my Uncle and Steve did a 'bat signal' with me to cut it off when I was ready. When the crowd seemed to die down Steve realized it and put on a game of 'lip singing'. It was so fun. We will never ever forget his amazingness and making our day so so special!

The DJ (Steve Dunlap) for our Disney Wedding on June 22nd, 2015 could not have been more perfect. Despite there being miscommunication on our end about the playlist, names and requests before the reception, we both were able to sit down with him and within minutes we had our entire reception planned out perfectly. He was extremely well-prepared with all the songs we asked about and half of the time knew what song we wanted before we did!

He obviously paid attention to our chat earlier when we mentioned that not only were we theatre enthusiasts, but so was a large portion of our party, because Steve surprised us with his own idea of having a sing-off between the males and females. He knew we didn't want the usual bouquet/garter toss or dollar dance and let me say...it was a HUGE HIT. Everyone was on the dance floor singing and enjoying impromptu choreography. It was unique and special and I know my wife and I will look back on that as one of our favorite moments for a long, long time.

On a more personal note, Steve also went above and beyond with his interactions with our guests. Several of our friends and family commented that he truly engaged them in conversation and went out of his way to get to know people. He was able to connect with them and got people on the dance floor that we never would have guessed would make their way out there.

Not only will we be telling our friends getting married in the future about the sing-off idea, but Steve gets our full thanks and recommendation as well. He, along with everyone else at Disney, was worth every penny we spent on our fairy tale day. Thank you Steve!

Steve was amazing, he brought lots of energy to our wedding reception, going so far as coming out and teaching the guests dances such as the Cuban Shuffle and Thriller. When I asked some of my family what their favorite thing about my wedding was, many responded, THE DJ. Steve was absolutely wonderful. Many of the people at our reception were the older, no nonsense type, and even THEY were on the dance floor! Steve chose songs that totally fit with what I requested, which was a club dance atmosphere. I think the best part was how he made sure the party did not die at the end. It was a non-cheezy way of making sure all were singing, participating, and having fun!

There were some awkward moments at our reception caused by overly enthusiastic guests…and like any good entertainer, Steve took those moments and worked around them. Steve is just a fun loving guy who wants people to party and have fun, and that is what he did at our wedding.

Steve also did lighting and "dancing on a cloud" at our reception, which completely transformed our drab reception space into a glowing, dreamlike space. Our first dance was complemented so well with the dry ice machine. I didn’t notice, but someone told me he was following us around the dance floor with it as we danced, which added to the effect.

Choosing Steve as our DJ was definitely one of the best wedding decisions we made. I want to host another party with him as DJ, I had that much fun!

Dj Melody is a super fun DJ who keeps the party going! DJ Melody blows them out of the water with her blend of personality and passion. From the minute we hired her, she was attentive, didn’t try to tell us what music we needed, listened to all of our requests, and made herself personally available at the drop of a hat. Besides her professional nature, she went all in with the fun and brought great energy all night long for our wedding. She mixed songs for us that were really important, especially for our First Dance, which was awesome.
One thing we really loved about Melody (among the many things) was during the wedding itself, she wasn’t afraid to get on the dance floor and party it up. She led the crowd in some dancing and made sure we had fun with her fist pumping, jumping around style. One of my groomsmen even quoted saying, “Dude, your DJ was frickin’ awesome, she crushed the music mix!”
If you are looking for a DJ that will listen to your wants, keep the party going as long as possible, feels the pulse of her crowd, and really gets it, look no further. DJ Melody is your DJ. She will be discovered really soon by some big wig and her calendar will fill up quickly. Our wedding party had such high praise for her, and we were so excited we hit the jackpot on our wedding day. Yes, DJ Melody, you did crush it and we were extremely happy with her abilities, energy, and passion.

My wife Elizabeth and I got married at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando on March 28th, 2015 and we were referred to Steve Dunlap's company, Event Concepts. We could not have asked for a better DJ experience! Steve is the owner of the company but he personally provided service for our wedding along with one other gentleman who's name I can't remember, but both were EXCEPTIONAL across the board. Steve helped us come up with a playlist and plan of action for our reception and he exceeded all expectations. Steve was funny, engaging, professional, enthusiastic, and a blast to work with. You can tell he takes tremendous pride in his work and truly cares about his clients. I would highly recommend Steve's company to anyone who's looking to get married or have an event of any kind!

The DJ for our wedding, Melody, was fabulous! She kept the fun going all night! We spoke with her before the wedding to give her an idea of what we envisioned for the night and she listened and made suggestions as needed. During our reception she also reminded us of what was coming up soon (cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet, etc) so I wasn't worried about it. Our entire wedding group was on the dance floor all night and we got so many compliments on how great the music and dancing was. I would totally recommend! Steve and Adriana were also great to work with via email. They responded promptly and answered the many questions I had throughout the entire planning process.

Emily and I used Disney's wedding planning service, who hired Steve Dunlap as our DJ. We chose a DJ over a live band mostly so we could have an MC, and we’d make the same decision again in a heartbeat.

I say this without hyperbole: Steve was unquestionably one of the best parts of the entire wedding. This is not an exaggeration. Steve met the two of us in our waiting room and spent a good ten minutes simply getting to know us and our preferences. My wife and I are more than a bit nerdy (if the Disney wedding didn't tip you off); his face brightened as he floated a few suggestions by us. We took a chance and told him to get creative and use his own judgment.

He did, and it was absolutely the right choice. Steve summoned up a tapestry of everything from classic swing to rare and beautiful instrumental arrangements of nerdy video game music (no seriously - he had stunning versions of music from Legend of Zelda and Chrono Trigger!) to club music. He also provided a great dance medley where he taught everyone some moves from Elvis, Saturday Night Fever, Michael Jackson, and that obnoxious "What Does the Fox Say" song. Everyone had a blast.

Not only that, but Steve was relaxed, a natural showman and MC. He didn't come off as trying too hard. He was warm, friendly, and emotionally invested in our reception. Again, I'm not exaggerating - nearly everyone we talked to, no matter their age or musical preferences, raved about Steve's performance. Everyone remembered "that really great DJ [we] had."

If you have an event, especially a wedding, and ESPECIALLY if you have an offbeat sense of humor and an appreciation for the hard work a truly great DJ puts into his craft, you owe it to yourself to get Steve. His work is memorable, funny, and touching. He has a real appreciation for what he does, and Emily and I are enormously thankful that he was there to share this moment with all of our friends and family.

Hi Steve!

I've actually been trying to find some time to sit and write you about our wedding. As I'm sure you here from so many brides about how they envision their wedding to be. From the cake to the flowers, to the food, etc... For me the biggest part of my wedding, aside from getting married(woo hoo!), was the DJ. My wedding planner was spot on when she told me you were my guy. I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for our wedding. Thank you for making my ideas a reality and for taking our guests to an experience they will never forget.

Every single one of our guests, and I mean every ONE, told either Boris or I how incredible you were and that you were hands down the best DJ they ever had. From a professional stand point you were the best I have ever experienced as well. You made me want to throw a party every day! I was so lucky that my guests were so open to participating and being interactive with you. You had everyone smiling, laughing and choreographed dancing! It was everything I could've hoped for and more! You were such a pleasure to work with! Your high energy, creative execution and sparkling personality was the perfect combination to make our night so unforgettable!!!

My husband was telling me how much he respects how you are always challenging yourself and finding ways to make yourself the best. I too have a ton of respect for how hard you work and your incredible amount of effort to make yourself the best. And I absolutely believe, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Steve was absolutely amazing. We had a small wedding, but he made it seem like there were so many people there by keeping everyone on the dance floor. I was so impressed with his enthusiasm and knowledge. At other weddings, I've noticed times where a DJ realized that the song wasn't a good choice for the crowd, but they still let it finish out with no one on the floor. That was not the case with Steve. He quickly transitioned to a new song to keep everyone excited and having fun. It was an absolute pleasure having him at the wedding. Everyone is still talking about how fun it was and I attribute much of that to Steve.

We recently got married at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and not a day has passed in which we haven't reflected on truly how perfect our big day was.

One person we have to thank - Our DJ, Steve Dunlap of Event Concepts! Throughout the night, Steve's energy was perfectly appropriate and everyone had such a good time dancing to some really great tunes.

Looking back, our original thought was that if Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings recommended Event Concepts, we had nothing to worry about; and as expected, Event Concepts didn't disappoint. From the survey Steve sent us before the wedding to his professionalism at the event, we could not have ended up with a better DJ! And, we were so happy to have him be a part of our special evening!
