Best of the Best
My wife and I cannot recommend Esther enough! From the first time we met her at our engagement session to the day of our wedding, we knew we had made the best decision choosing her as our photographer. She is outgoing, fun to work with, very responsive, extremely professional and her work is top notch. My wife and I look at our pictures from that day frequently and they still bring tears to our eyes. She captured our day, the details, our family and friends, and most of all our love, absolutely perfectly. If you are looking for a photographer that is fun and easy to get along with, someone that brings out the best smiles even in those that hate getting their picture taken, and someone that will deliver the highest quality photos of the best day of your life, Esther is the photographer you should choose. The best of the best!!
Esther is the best of the best! Our entire series of interactions, from our first intro call to our engagement photos, to especially our wedding day, were fun, professional, and organized. She went above and beyond on our engagement shoot, even sending us a sneak peek the NEXT DAY so that I could have them for our one-year-out from the wedding celebration. On our wedding day she (and her second shooter Cassie) kept us organized and on time, capturing all the shots that were important to us and so many more, while still allowing us to enjoy every second of the day. She sent us an amazing sneak peek 2 days later, which was incredible, and the timeline for receiving our entire album wasn't long at all. Her editing style is exactly what we were looking for, light and airy while still keeping the color and reality of the images. Hire her as your photographer!!!!!Esther Mathieu Photography's reply:

We are BEYOND happy we hired Esther as our wedding photographer. From the initial calls to our engagement session to planning for our wedding day photos, Esther was so kind, flexible and organized. She has an amazing ability to make you feel comfortable and have fun in front of the camera...even our wedding party and families were so impressed. On our wedding day, she had every detail and timeline covered which made us feel SO at ease. As the busy bride I didn't even need to worry or think about anything because I knew Esther was on it! All of this just speaks to how much time, care and attention she put into planning and preparing for our day. As for our photos–they were absolutely stunning and she captured every moment with such a creative eye. Esther helped us create the best photo moments for our wedding, let me clarify, she was there from the start and was there to document our special moments from the getting ready, family photos at my parent's house, and our I do's! Our wedding was May of 2022 and I'm sorry this took me so long to write. It's tough to put into words how much we loved working with Esther and the quality of her shots. We chose Esther after a recommendation from a friend and it was hands down the right choice. From the first phone call, I knew she was the one! I hadn't spoken to many wedding photographers and since it was the pandemic and a popular time for weddings, I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to find the right photographer in time. Esther assured us that we were in good hands. Loved how she made us feel comfortable. It felt like a dear friend was taking our photos. She never posed us and made us feel uncomfortable. She made every photo op feel so natural. It's tough to find someone you can truly trust. The photos were stunning!! She send us the link to the gallery and our friends and family were in awe of her work. We chose Esther because of the way she captures natural light. She truly is an artist. We had an outdoor wedding, family photos, and a cocktail reception. We had an indoor dinner reception and the photos were exceptional. We could not have made a better choice. So happy everything worked out, especially during the pandemic, a busy wedding season, and outdoor weather/environment. She is organized, friendly, and above all professional. The albums we put together were gorgeous. It is clear she is dedicated to her work. The albums were better than anything we could have imagined. Esther help me out with a secret proposal in Rockport MA, very professional, I was an international client and she took care of everything since i don live in the States. Esther is professional and easy going and so very talented. When we were searching for a photographer we wanted someone who produced clear crisp images with lots of candid shots. Esther got all the shots we had hoped she we get and more! And the finished product was even more amazing that we could have imagined. We can’t recommend her enough. Amazing Wedding Photographer
Esther is absolutely one of the best in the business. She has an amazing talent capturing not only wedding formals and candids but landscapes as well. She captured the joy of our big day so perfectly; the magic truly transcends through the photos - from our wedding details, to the gorgeous setting of the venue we chose, to the amazing candids of of our friends and family members. She also doubles as a day-of wedding coordinator; she had every minute planned to ensure we got every photo on our wish list. I am so overjoyed with how our photos came out and we have received countless compliments on them. We are SO thankful for Esther and all of her hard work. Esther was great to work with as our wedding photographer. She was very professional, laid back, and committed to getting the best shots possible.
She even handled some curveballs (eccentric family members) quite well. Very important for a wedding photographer!

Wedding August 9, 2019
Esther was beyond amazing to work with!! We are incredibly happy that we found her. Leading up to the wedding she was extremely organized, friendly, and flexible. Esther and her second shooter, Sam, were absolutely lovely to have around while we were getting ready. I was unfortunately sick the day of and Esther was extremely flexible and helpful about some necessary last minute changes to the schedule. I was so worried after the wedding that my being sick would cause us to have missed out on some of the pictures we had wanted. I couldn’t have been more wrong. We were delighted by the variety of the photos and how quickly we got access to them. Esther was punctual, professional and a delight to work with. She has a creative approach and a great eye to photography and I'd recommend her to anyone looking for portrait or event photography in the Cape Ann area and beyond.

I really struggled trying to find a wedding photographer. I interviewed about 15 people before landing on Esther. My husband and I instantly connected with her, and loved her style.
