Great choice

This is from a guy that does not write reviews. Ordinarily. But I gotta say this group was great. Booked the Esteem Allstars March 2021 for our July 2022 wedding in Jersey City. Not only were they top notch, but the process could not have been easier. From our first virtual meeting with Jack, to our subsequent conversations with the band leaders, everything went exactly as planned. Seven piece band? No problem. You want a horn? Easy. Female and male vocalist...YES. How about a violin for the 11am ceremony? Check. and the guitar for cocktail hour? Of course. Nothing was too difficult. They even learned a couple new songs just for our wedding. And they worked seamlessly with our venue at Liberty House.
And considering our wedding was HOT and SUNNY (early on a Friday afternoon), the Allstars had our crowd up on their feet the entire time! We will highly recommend.

If you want your guests to dance all night, hire esteem entertainment

Jim and his team were so helpful and responsive leading up to our wedding! We wanted something quite unique for our reception and they delivered! We asked for a DJ, Sax & Percussion to all play together because we wanted some live components as well as the dancing vibe!

The dance floor was packed all night and DJ Vinny did a great job of playing all of our must play songs! Our guests loved the music and have given us so many compliments on the amazing vibes of our wedding which is all thanks to Esteem Entertainment :)

We also hired a string trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour and they played modern songs which everyone raved about!

So much fun

I cannot thank our two DJs from esteem enough for making our day/night the best day ever!! Everyone raved about the music selection and had everyone either dancing in the tent or in the barn! Everyone was so sweet, and we cannot thank this group enough! Also, our ceremony musicians were spot on. It was beautiful and they sounded amazing. Thank you esteem for making our wedding the best ever!!! Highly recommend’

Hawaiian Dancer was a Hit!

Our Tiki Party was so complete with our Hawaiian dancer that we hired through Esteem Entertainment. Her fire dancing was fantastic, she was so great she taught some dances and our homeowners all joined in. So much fun, would highly recommend!

Highly Recommend Esteem All Star Band with Jack Goodman!

The Esteem All Star Band with Jack Goodman were amazing at our wedding Saturday night and we could not be happier!!! The band promised us an all night party and they delivered! Esteem Entertainment and Jack Goodman were always easy to get in touch with and were welcoming to our suggestions, while offering their own based off of their experience. They were able to play all of our requests while also feeling the vibe and energy of our crowd, and ensuring everyone was having a good time. Days later, we are still getting so many compliments about how much fun they had, and the how good the band was during our wedding. One member of the band also played during our ceremony and cocktail hour as well. They were able to create such a memorable experience that we as well as our guests will always remember. We highly recommend the Esteem All Star Band and Jack Goodman for your wedding- you won’t be disappointed!

A band that is talented, fun and absolutely made the wedding!

The All Star Band with Esteem Entertainment played out our wedding. We heard them at a wedding about two weeks before we got engaged and ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM! Before we even booked the venue, we got in touch with Esteem to make sure they held our date because we did not want to take the chance of losing out on having them play at our wedding. When the big day came (September 14, 2019) - they were even better than we remembered! We had expected the DJ to play our first dance, father/daughter dance and mother/son dance. The band actually performed all of those songs and it was better than I could have hoped for! We still have people telling us that it took them a week to recover from dancing all night! The dance floor was always packed... even when the food was being served in between courses everyone would get up and keep dancing! I HIGHLY recommend Esteem Entertainment for your wedding or event if you want to have the time of your life! They’re so engaged with the guests, they’re talented and a lot of fun! Such a great company to work with and very talented musicians!

The Esteem Latin Jazz Ensemble

It was pleasure working with The Esteem Latin Jazz Ensemble. Jim was very accommodating and professional. I hired them for an outdoor summer party. Their latin jazz was grooved with great rhythm and harmonies that everyone loved. Created a fun and comfortable atmosphere at the party.

They blew the roof off the place!

The band was amazing! Their performance was beyond our wildest expectations! The dance floor was packed the entire night, and they had the crowd rocking! They played everything from big band, to Motown, to modern hits! Our event couldn’t have been any better because of them!

Amazing Music and Professionalism!

Esteem Entertainment provided an amazing band for our annual fundraiser last weekend! The music was excellent and the guests enjoyed every song played! The singers and musicians sounded so much like the original artists but with their own talented sound! Also, the band was very flexible and responsive to every request we had with the schedule of the evening, volume of music, and their playlist which added to the overall success of the event. This is the second year we have used Esteen Entertainment and will continue to in the future! We highly recommend them!

Amazing Band

I hired Esteem Entertainment All Star to play at my wedding October 5th and they were incredible. When booking with Jack I expressed to him that I wanted my guest on the dance floor all night and that is exactly what they made happen. The whole band was amazing they played a selection of different songs and sounded just like the true artists. The lead singers interacted with my guest and made sure everyone was having a good time. I am still hearing from my guest how amazing my band was on my wedding day. I would highly recommend them to play at your wedding or any other special event!!

My daughter just had her weddig on October 5,2018 and Jack G. with Esteem Entertainment Allstars were excellent. They had the dance floor packed the entire night and every song sounded exactly like the recordig artist. They made sure that they came into the audiance to get everyone dancing. My guests didn't stop telling us that they were excellent. If you are planning a wedding or party you need to go and check out this band and i can guarentee you won't be dissapointed. I have one more daughter getting married in the near future and I will definitely be calling Jack up again. I want to thank the entire band for making my daughter's wedding a funtastic evening.

I can honestly say I feel extremely lucky for having found Reel Time Band to play at our wedding….when I had first begun the search for a wedding band, I instantly read every review I could, watched videos and compared prices. I wanted a band who would play a variety of music, get everyone on the dance floor and a band who was affordable. Reel Time Band did not disappoint! Jack was always available throughout the entire wedding planning process and answered any questions we had. It is so evident this band has so much experience and is so professional and the day went on without any glitches. The band played the ENTIRE night and there was never a moment where a recorded song was just playing in the background. They PERFORMED and involved all the guests. I can’t even tell you how many compliments we have gotten-a month later and it’s all people are talking about…”Where did you find that band?!!” They truly made our wedding night one of the most wonderful days of our lives; I can’t say enough good things about this band! Dominic is awesome! We used him as our dj on May 12, 2018. Throughout the wedding planning Dominic was always available to go over details of the wedding. He has a great personality and is very professional. The entire reception ran so smooth and my husband and I were blown away by how many of our family and friends were on the dance floor! Everyone raved about the music and all of our requests were played. Dominic made sure hat our night was incredible and the memories that he helped us create are irreplaceable. We would recommend his services for weddings or any event to all of our family and friends!!

From my phone consultation with Jack, to the random questions we had through out the planning, the playlists, the requests everything was amazing!

We hired the 8-piece Esteem All Stars and they were amazing!!! Every piece of the band was incredibly talented and high energy! Our dance floor was packed all night and all our guests are still raving about the band. Their variety of music was incredible. I even got to rap Juicy by Biggie Smalls with the band! It was so awesome!

DEFINITELY ONE OF OUR BEST WEDDING DECISIONS EVER!

These guys were excellent. Dominic was responsive over both phone and email from the start all the way up to the day of the wedding and took time to review our ceremony and reception music and cues in person prior to the start of the wedding. They took our dance floor playlist ideas and worked them into a great rhythm; the floor was literally NEVER empty even though we had a largely older crowd. Often the floor was completely packed with people and everyone was having a great time. 4 hours of dancing somehow didn't seem like enough simply because things were going so well we didn't want it to end. If i could think of any complaint, it's that my feet still hurt 4 days later. ;-) You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I had the Esteem All Stars for our wedding as well as a pianist for our ceremony and cocktail hour at our September wedding a few months ago and they were incredible! I had my heart set on a band but so many of them are completely cost prohibitive. I had almost given up when my mom came across the Esteem All Stars and sent me the link. I was a little nervous at first because we live in NYC which made it challenging for us to attempt to see them live before booking, but we decided to take a chance based on what we saw in their video clips and are so glad that we did! We emailed back and forth with Dominic Longo who was always available to answer our questions and were amazed when he shared a quote that was reasonable. We had some special requests for our ceremony music- I wanted to walk down the aisle to a song from Hamilton and my husband and I had a plan for a surprise flash mob to Canon Rock during our recessional. No request was too big (or too strange) for them and they handled it all wonderfully. On the day of the wedding, they even came with an extra vocalist who ended up being the life of the party (and could do the old Frank Sinatra songs like a BOSS!) Our guests raved about the band for weeks after the wedding and even now, four months later, we are still getting compliments about them. I could not recommend them more highly!

We could not be happier to have chosen Dominic to DJ our wedding. He is professional, experienced, and fair. I found working with DJ Dominic to be stress-reducing, which is rare when hiring wedding vendors. Our Ceremony and Reception were on multiple floors of a building, we had a live singer, and multiple timed dances – all of which Dominic handled without breaking a sweat. He read the crowd, had 200 people dancing for hours on end, and left the room cleaner than he found it. He is the best man for the job, no question!

Look, I know it seems lazy to mark 5 stars across the board for a review, but Esteem Entertainment absolutely deserves these high marks. Their team was absolutely dynamite for my recent wedding. They were fantastic with communication back-and-forth to ensure that they sent the right DJ accounted for all specific requests (attire, lighting, and playlists for dinner and dancing). Music and emcee services are something that can ruin an event, but you are paying for peace of mind with Esteem, because they are, in every sense, professionals. And if you're fortunate enough to have DJ Mike work your event, you're getting the best of the best... he's an absolute legend!

We had Dominic Longo as our Wedding DJ, and he seriously could not have made the night any more amazing! He's great a reading the crowd and the dancefloor was packed for most of the night. I was blown away by the level of energy he elicited from everyone. I highly recommend Dominic, as he also assisted in making the night run smoothly, and I couldn't have imagined a better day than the one he helped to make happen. If I ever need a DJ in the future for any reason, Dominic will be at the very top of my list!

DJ Dominic is fantastic! First of all he has a voice of gold. He and his brother worked with us to deejay our ceremony and our reception, (including a trivia segment!) and our guests really hit the dance floor. Afterwards people said that we really knew how to throw a party! He was a super emcee and kept the night moving along. Planning what music we wanted to play was easy and he advised us on our music selection. And the price point was spot on. Thanks, Esteem!

DJ Dominic came recommended from a close friend of ours whose wedding we had attended and had an absolute blast dancing the night away, so it was a pretty easy decision.

Outside of a great dance party, he was just genuinely AMAZING to work with, from answering (very quickly I might add) all of my random questions to providing "smart" guidance on a non-typical wedding.

Just wanted to thank you for your willingness to travel to Virginia and for all that you did to make our wedding party so much fun. I continue to get feedback from our guests about how much fun they had and many have said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Guests love a beautiful venue, great food (and wine!!) and, of course, great music. I believe we had all three and I thank you for your role in that. As you could see, our friends and family like to dance, so the music was really important. Esteem Entertainment, came right within our budget which was great, we also had to add an extra hour to our event, because we miscalculated our time and they were more than accommodating! The music was great, I wish it never ended!

We had an amazing experience with Esteem Entertainment! All of our guests said our wedding was the BEST wedding they had ever been to and I believe that had to do with the incredible entertainment provided by Esteem. We did a combination of Band and DJ for our cocktail hour and reception (total of 6.5 hrs). They gave it their all the whole time and were very interactive with the wedding guests. We had a lot of surprises at our wedding and the band really worked with my husband, the best man, and my maid of honor to make it all happen. I am so grateful for the service provided and for Esteem Entertainment's contribution to making our wedding day one we will always cherish.

We used the All Stars and Athena Bands for our wedding and everyone had such an amazing time! They play a great variety of music. They have a great time performing and made sure all of our guests enjoyed the night. Thank you, Esteem!

We booked a String Trio for an outdoor ceremony & tented cocktail hour. We were very impressed with Jack Goodman and his team of office staff and musicians. They have this process down to a science and their attention to detail was very reassuring prior to the wedding. This vendor was the only one that we hired and did not meet with in person, prior to wedding day. It did not matter. They were awesome and I highly recommend this entertainment group. Bravo!

The string trio from Esteem Entertainment was just the right touch for our wedding ceremony. The trio played classical music for our guests as they were finding their seats, and they played for the precessional and recessional. I had my heart set on entering to the Portuguese Love Theme and exiting to The Prime Minister's Love Theme from the movie Love Actually, and it was perfect. I was nervous because neither of the pieces are in their usual repertoire, but there was no need for me to worry, both sounded more beautiful than I could have imagined.

PROS: Great band with amazing singers. Good selection of songs and a lot of energy! Jack, owner and CEO and the drummer, personally came to our apartment to make his pitch. We appreciated that effort and he really went out of his way to give us a deal. If you want affordability, but also quality, go with Esteem!!

CONS: During the reception, the band was pretty loud. It started out OK, but it got exponentially louder as the day went on. Obviously, I know you want it to be loud and boisterous to encourage everyone to party. However, 80% of our guests were over the age of 50. I think that drove some of them out into the garden.

We hired a harpist for our wedding ceremony and she (Karen) was wonderful. I worked with Samantha throughout the process and she was so nice. We selected our songs for the ceremony and everything played perfectly!
I would recommend Esteem Entertainment for your ceremony music.

Jack and Esteem Entertainment provided us with a dixieland jazz band complete with 2nd line feel and a host of standards. We had a very tight budget but still wanted a big sound, and Jack delivered it perfectly. We hired jack based on reviews but mostly on his incredible knowledge of the genre, never hearing them play as a whole prior to our wedding day. We asked for a specific sound for the singer, and he gave us exactly what we wanted. He was easy to communicate with, showed up to the wedding in a timely fashion, even took an 80's song and worked in a jazz feel for our first dance as man and wife. Everyone RAVED about the band and they helped make our big day perfect. When I think of how much other people spend on bands @ weddings and how much value they delivered on a small budget... i am astounded. Thanks so much jack!

Jack Goodman and his office were a delight to work with. We chose Esteem Allstars and went with an 8 piece band and one musician for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They didn't miss a beat! Jack gave us a reasonable price while every other band vendor we got quotes from would have required us taking out a second mortgage. The ceremony music was perfect, the band learnt our first dance song which otherwise was not in their repertoire and did a beautiful job of it. We gave them a list of songs as a guide to go by and they totally nailed it with the atmosphere we were trying to create. They knew exactly what we wanted from our reception like true professionals. The band even let my father play a couple songs with them - which made his night. Couldn't recommend Esteem Entertainment more so.

A great party

We had the Esteem All Stars band provide the music for our cocktail hour and reception. Everything went perfectly on the big day. They know how to throw a great party and our guests all raved about their musical talents -- so much so that one of our guests decided to book them for his wedding after attending ours!

We booked Jake's Rockin Country Band and Dominic from Esteem Entertainment for our wedding August 19th and could not have been happier. I highly recommend them as a combination because collectively, they were able to fulfill all of our expectations - and with a guest list of 350, we had a lot of requests. Dominic was invaluable as an MC. He was able to feel the crowd and improvise as any and all weddings require. He even showed up a day early to scout the venue and get a better understanding of what the evening would entail. He was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty, and as the bride, I truly cannot imagine what we would have done without him. As far as the band goes - country music is certainly their forte. I was sad that I didn't get to meet or work with Jack, whom I worked with initially to create a contract. Also, another band member became very I'll and was unable to make it last minute, but band and DJ were able to improvise accordingly and they even re-imbursed us for the trouble. We made some last minute changes and added Dominic as a DJ per recommendation. This troupe is willing and able to travel long distances and they will likely significantly underbid their competition. One reason for this is because depending on distance traveled, you may be responsible for providing their accommodations - but they are easy to please! I was impressed by their professionalism and general desire to please the crowd. I would have liked to have them play longer!

Choosing Dominic as our DJ was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He was extremely easy going and understanding of the "vibe" we wanted our reception to have. The mix of songs he played were very much in line with what we had conveyed, and the DJ-ing was lively and fun without being overwhelming. We were very impressed with his professionalism, ability to set up/work independently and attentiveness.

Esteem Entertainment = Amazing

Esteem Entertainment played at our wedding and they were fantastic. The band can play an arrange of classics to modern hits while playing to the crowd. The Bride and I didn't leave the dance floor -- they were a key part of making our night what it was and we highly recommend this group if you are considering a band for your event.

DJ & String Duo

We used Esteem for our live ceremony & cocktail Music - a cello & violin duo, and DJ Vinny for the reception. As we were taking photos for most of our cocktail hour, we didn’t get to experience a lot of the live music for ourselves, but our families and guests loved the string duo, and we could tell they did an excellent job with our ceremony music. The processional and lead-up to the ceremony went seamlessly thanks to them. The cellist in particular made a point to come meet us at the end of their set and congratulate us, which was so nice. For the reception, DJ Vinny did a great job executing our featured songs for our entrances, first dance and slow dances, including our special request for a specific version of our first dance song. At first, he improvised off our playlist, and there were a few “typical” party songs we didn’t love, but our guests didn’t notice - upon chatting with him, he stuck with our requests and the night went on without a hitch. I do think it would have helped to have a call or video chat with him prior to the wedding so he could meet us and get an even better feel for our style, but overall he was easy to work with, and we were all dancing the whole night. We got lots of compliments on the fun music and non-stop dancing. Esteem was easy to work with, and they responded quickly to all our emails and questions. Even though they're located far from our venue, the DJ and musicians arrived early and were all set up and ready.

We booked Esteem Entertainment All Star Band for our wedding in September

And they did not disappoint! The band was incredible and had everyone on the dance floor dancing their hearts out. We worked with Jack Goodman who was easy to work with and provides an honest quality product. We altered our contract and added a saxophonist to the reservation in the weeks leading up to our wedding day and Jack made it easy to make the change. If your looking for a good band who can energize a crowd and play great music in NJ, look no further than the All Star Band.

We also booked a string duo to play for our ceremony as well as our cocktail hour and they were ewually was good as the band. We went with a mix of jazz and classical and their cover of Hallelujah during our ceremony gave me chills. Duo was very good! Couldn’t ask for a better service!

This dj was recommended by my venue. We set up a contract & after I had some details changed & we had to essentially re-write our contract. They were completely flexible & the added cost of extra time was nothing compared to so many other vendors I looked at! I also had emailed them to confirm deposit dates & song lists & they were very informative of the schedule & gave me the opportunity to begin my song list early so that I have plenty of time! would definitely recommend. My only negative is their location in relation to where I live & where my venue is. We're in Southern New Jersey & their main office is in North Jersey, approximately a 2 hour drive away. Thankfully they worked with us through email & phone calls so the distance did not appear to make any difference!

Performers were so talented!

We hired both Esteem Entertainment / All Star Band and Athena Band (traditional Greek music) to play at our Wedding in May. I have a mixed review, but want to start with how talented and fun the singers and musicians were. Our ceremony string duo played all of our requested songs and were lovely to watch play / listen to. During the reception, the American (All Star) singers were a highlight of the evening. They were so talented, so vibrant and partied on the dance floor with us! The Athena Band (Greek) were great - also had a very talented singer and drummers. The flip side of my experience with Esteem was Jack. On our intro call, I found Jack to be frazzled, distracted and condescending. If not for the talented singers and Athena Band extension, that would have been our first and last call. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Jack and his coordinator were difficult to reach, had particular and obscure requests, and again - condescending. During the wedding, Jack was no different and had to be corralled and scolded by my event planner for lack of organization. Furthermore, he kept announcing the song's name prior to playing it, which really broke up the flow of music and dancing. I honestly don't know what he contributed (and frankly think he did the opposite). If I could hire the musicians again, I would - but I'd request Jack not attend. Great Sounding Band with some hiccups

We used to Esteem All-Stars band for our wedding reception, and the band itself did an amazing job entertaining our guests throughout the night and getting everyone on the dance floor! However, their professionalism was at times lacking - the drummer attempted to pull my husband from our receiving line right after our ceremony to ask questions which had already been answered in an email days prior. We also paid for the band to learn songs which ended up being played as mp3's. Despite these hiccups, our guests did rave about the band and had an amazing time at the reception - I just wish our experience behind the scenes was as positive.

Esteem Entertainment was referred to us for our wedding. We had the All-Stars including a DJ play and got a great deal. We were so excited to have a band and read great reviews. Unfortunately, they did not live up to our expectations. We spent hours working on a song list. The majority of the songs we picked were from their website playlist. We had a very specific "Do Not Play" list. They ended up playing songs from the "Do Not Play" list and did not play many of our "Wedding Favorites." During the bridal party entrances, they played the Bride and Grooms entrance song which was supposed to be different from the bridal party song (not a huge deal, but it wasn't the only mishap). At the end of the night, when the guests were chanting "one more song," they chose a song NOT on the list (we were not a fan of the song they chose). We had to repeatedly tell the band leader to stick to the list and even had to request specific songs from the DJ.

While our guests had a great time and enjoyed the band, we were a bit disappointed and felt that we should not have had to spend time discussing the music after providing a specific song list. Music is a big deal and can make or break a wedding in our opinion. Luckily, our guests did not seem to mind and several people commented on how great the band was. I agree, they played very well, but the song choices could have been better.

Poor follow up. I tried to arrange meetings 2 months before wedding and was told everyone was busy. Finnally met approximately a month before wedding for the first time and only met with one of two DJs. I tried a week before to meet and no response until 4 days begore wedding. Needless to say day of wedding things did not go as planned.

We used Esteem Entertainment as our DJ for the ceremony through the end of the reception. Overall we had mixed feelings about their services. For instance, we had a somewhat difficult time communicating with them before the wedding. During the reception the DJ played the music that we requested and overall did a pretty good job. However, there were at least 2 songs that skipped while playing and 1 song that cut out completely. We felt that was poor service for a DJ company.

My husband and I were terribly disappointed in Esteem, and found their band leader, Jack, completely unprofessional. When Jack was trying to win our business, he was always available and accommodating. However 1 month prior to the wedding when we wanted to finalize details of both the ceremony and reception, he was completely unavailable. He was unwilling to find time during the week despite being offered weekday/weekend/morning and evening hours stating he was “too busy”. A week prior to our wedding day he emailed that he was unable to obtain sheet music for the songs we had requested 6 weeks prior. When he finally managed to give us a call, it was from the car, and he had none of our paperwork available (which Esteem had requested), instead reassuring us that we were dealing with “professionals” and that everything would “be fine”.

The day of the wedding, Esteem messed up the ceremony (played the incorrect songs at the incorrect times) in addition to the introductions (which were important culturally and which we had attempted multiple times prior to review with Jack to no avail). To make the process easier, we even made a run of show for Jack detailing exactly the song and time that something was to be played or announced which he obviously had never reviewed. When my husband attempted to fix the mistakes early on, Jack told him to “get a drink and relax” and refused to discuss the matter any further with us.

We were horribly disappointed with Jack and would not recommend Esteem to anyone. As with other reviews, this behavior appears to be the norm rather than the exception. If you want a band that respects your time, honors your requests and has professional courtesy, do not choose Esteem Entertainment.
