Looking for the BEST DJ? Look no further, PJ is your guy!! From the beginning PJ was super helpful, professional and accommodating for our wedding. Everything was perfect from cocktail hour, to our introductions, our dinner music and dancing literally all night. I don’t think our wedding guests sat down once the entire night. PJ was a fantastic DJ for our wedding day! He played great music that catered to all styles and tastes. PJ took time to meet with us ahead of our big day to ensure he understood our vision and provided valuable insight when we needed his advice and opinion on things we weren’t sure of. This was a Turkish/American wedding and PJ was more than happy to include some traditional Turkish music which truly mean a lot to the groom and his family. We just wanted to thank PJ for making our wedding an absolute BLAST. It truly was the most fun I have EVER had. Until after our wedding, I never realized how incredibly important it is to have a really strong, DJ, because the music is literally everything at a wedding celebration. That is why I cannot endorse PJ enough, to have a DJ that really knows what they're doing, really understands how to feel the crowd, he did a perfect job, and had us all on our feet literally all night!!!! Highly recommend essential sounds entertainment!

We hired PJ as our DJ after he did an amazing job DJ'ing my brother's wedding, and he highly recommended working with him. PJ was so easy to work with - he has a personality that makes you feel like you've known him forever which is great when trying to decide which songs, genre, entrances and everything else to go with. He played all of the music that we asked him to and kept the dance floor going all night long. When the night was coming to an end, my bridal party and friends really wanted to keep the party going, and PJ was willing to stay for an extra hour for a reasonable fee. We also hired our photobooth through PJ/Essential Sounds Entertainment, and I received many compliments that the photobooth attendant was so nice. I would highly recommend hiring Essential Sounds Entertainment for your wedding or party!

PJ the DJ was awesome!!!

PJ the DJ from Essential Sounds Entertainment did an amazing job at our wedding! At the outset, he was really great to work with. He was very knowledgeable about music, wedding ceremonies and receptions, and he was also professional with prompt communication. PJ made us feel comfortable going into our big day. On the day of the wedding, he was an awesome DJ! He played the perfect music for the wedding ceremony and reception (slow/instrumental for ceremonial, fun for dancing, etc.), our guests had an awesome time and danced the day away. The photobooth he provided was also a hit and his assistant/operator for that did a great job as well. All in all, we had a fantastic experience with PJ and we plan to recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ in the Jersey Shore area. Thanks PJ and Essential Sounds Entertainment!!!

Absolutely the best!!

PJ was such an amazing DJ for our wedding. I have been to 3 weddings with him and have had a great time at each wedding. First off, he was so understanding when he had to postpone our wedding and was able to accommodate that change. During the planning process, he was available for all our questions, answered back quickly, met with us multiple times via video chat and helped guide us through the challenging process of choosing music for our wedding to make sure it is exactly what we wanted. He provided us with recommendations to help the day flow well and make sure we accommodate all music styles. We were a Sunday night wedding and I was nervous that people may start leaving early, but the dance floor was filled all night. He’s the best and I would highly recommend Essential Sounds to anyone!

Essential Part of Our Wedding!

PJ, from Essential Sounds Entertainment, was the first vendor we booked. My husband and I saw him officiate and DJ our friend's wedding and knew we had to have him at ours. He is so sincere and delivered our love story perfectly. So many of our guests thought he was a close friend with how he spoke of us and he made our ceremony special. He is unbelievably charismatic and also a phenomenal DJ, such a professional and wonderful to work with. We were also a COVID couple and he was extremely flexible with postponements. I highly recommend working with him as your officiant and DJ!

Exceptional, responsive, highly recommend!!

Our wedding was 10/16/21 and we were so lucky to have PJ as our amazing DJ and our officiant. We were originally supposed to be married last year but due to covid we had to postpone. PJ was very accommodating and had great communication through out the whole process. The night of our wedding was a dream! He had such beautiful words for our ceremony, it was perfect! He took care of the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and he listened to all our requests. He always made sure we were okay. Throughout the night we got nothing but compliments on how great the music was the entire night. Everyone had a fabulous time and we highly recommend PJ Windle at Essential Sounds Entertainment!! Excellent service and communication

PJ was an excellent DJ for our wedding and was wonderful to work with during all the pandemic uncertainty. Leading up to our event we had to postpone twice and he was incredibly accommodating and great at keeping us informed of his availability, we were so fortunate that we'd committed to him early in our process.
At our wedding he was the perfect amount of charming without stealing the show. His introductions were clear and easily heard by everyone. He was friendly and welcoming. He responded to our wedding music goals and allowed for "requests within reason" which was a perfect blend of gracious to our guests and aware of the overall needs of the party. PJ had previously DJ'ed for both my brother's wedding and my sister's wedding. I had high hopes and he met them. I would highly recommend him and Essential Sounds Entertainment for any event!

PJ is Incredible and really reads the crowd phenomenally

Our experience with PJ was amazing. He was so easy to work with. My husband and I are both career firefighters so our schedule is extremely hectic. PJ kept us on track, he checked in on us and made sure we didn't miss a thing! Absolutely above and beyond. He has a form you fill out prior to your last meeting with him (which seems like a bunch of random questions) and based on your answers he gets exactly what your vibe is and how to deliver it flawlessly. We had a big wedding party, kids, fireman and an age range from 2 - 90 literally. Every single person was dancing and having an amazing time! He even nailed a part of a kid song for my nephews and nieces to walk into to. My father also wanted to surprise me with our first dance song. PJ worked with my father and never slipped on the surprise, it was amazing! I also wanted to surprise my mother and husband with my entrance song into the ceremony. The volume and timing was literally breathtaking. He played everything we wanted took requests and didnt play anything on the do not play list! The lighting the slideshow of pictures and the "dancing on clouds" was stunning. Huge thank you to PJ and whenever we have another milestone and need a DJ he will certainly be our guy!

No Need To Look Elsewhere

PJ and his team were amazing. We couldn’t be happier with him as our dj. From our first meeting PJ made us feel important and special. We are both huge music fans and had many requests not heard in your typical wedding. PJ had/found them all. He even came up with such incredible music for our ceremony even those off the boat Irish were impressed with his selection of traditional and newer instrumentals.
He made his lighting into the Irish tri color for us as well. His attention to detail and desire to think outside the box for us knowing thats what we like was incredible. He kept people dancing and engaged all night long. We have received several calls regarding his friendliness and abilities as a dj. My mother is elderly and not in the best of health, shortly into our dance I needed to get her off the dance floor. With a simple hand motion PJ noticed my need and seamlessly segued out of the song and into the next. Amazing music, fantastic attention to detail, time spent making the night special. He did so much for us. Look no further, PJ is the man for your event. I can’t recommend him strongly enough

Awesome!!!

PJ and his guys were so awesome at our wedding last Saturday. People kept complimenting about the music and saying how he had such great interaction with everyone. The music was so on point I couldn’t stop dancing! Even my now husband (who normally is a wallflower) danced and did the Cupid shuffle lol! The monogram and up lighting was such a special touch that brought a very big smile to my face. Not to mention the photo booth that had EVERYONE laughing and having a good time, we love the scrapbook! Everything was perfect!

We hired PJ for our wedding at Doolan's and we were extremely happy with the service he provided. He takes the time to get to know you - what you like and what you don't like - and makes sure everything goes exactly the way you want it. Best Choice

PJ was great from start to finish! He even came and did a walk through at the venue with us so that we could figure out where we wanted everything laid out! The party was great, and everyone was dancing pretty quickly and almost never sat back down! Essential Sounds handled the photo booth, music for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, the monogram lighting and a photo montage screen.

They ensured we had the best day of our lives

Essential Sounds Entertainment is hands down the best entertainment company. I used to work in the wedding industry and have planned multiple weddings over the years. When it was time to plan mine, I knew the only person I can trust for entertainment and lighting, is PJ, the founder of Essential Sounds. PJ is the most kind, genuine, and a true professional. Not only did he MC the night away, I also explained to him that I wanted our first song to be performed by a live guitarist. In a moment, PJ thought of a wonderful guitarist named Curbie. And instead of just playing during our first dance, Curbie played a set during our cocktail hour.

From the moment my husband and I met with PJ, we knew that he would not only provide entertainment and lighting at our wedding but that he would be a life long friend. Our wedding hashtag was #plantzoffdanceoff and PJ made sure that our wedding lived up to that name. Everyone was on their feet dancing the night away and almost every guest told me at the end of the night that the entertainment at our wedding was absolutely phenomenal.

So, if you are just starting to plan your special event and you are wondering and asking around who you should call for any of your entertainment needs, stop asking around, and simply call PJ. PJ and Essential Sounds Entertainment are ACES! We were first recommended to them when we posted on Facebook looking for awesome Wedding DJ’s. We hadn’t even started looking elsewhere for DJ’s yet. The first reply we got was a very encouraging recommendation for Essential Sounds.
The personal touch PJ puts on the entire process is priceless. He was always available to contact with any questions or ideas for your wedding. I knew if I sent PJ a message on Facebook he would respond within a couple minutes, if not immediately. By the time the wedding came around, it was like having a good friend DJ, and OFFICIATE our wedding. The only difference is that we don’t have friends with 20+ years of experience in the industry!
The day of the wedding PJ was at the Venue early with his awesome assistant, Chris. PJ left the controls in Chris’ hands to allow PJ to begin the ceremony as our Officiant. His custom ceremony was perfect, and he executed it flawlessly. We highly recommend using PJ as your Officiant! The entire ceremony went off without a hitch and was 100% exactly what we planned with him. It went right from script to stage….phenomenal!
The reception was also outstanding. The Bridal Party introductions were seamless and energy-packed. The music was perfect and included all the requests we made in the planning process, coupled with similar songs that kept the party rocking ALL NIGHT!! The guy doesn’t just DJ your wedding, he is the supporting role in a performance where you and your spouse are the Main Attraction.

When we booked Doolan’s Shore Club as our venue, Essential Sounds is a preferred vendor and we had the opportunity to see them at Doolan’s during an open house event. PJ, the owner, is wonderful to work with. He is down-to-earth and attentive to all details. When we first sat down with PJ, he answered each and every question we had and made sure his focus was on us despite it being an open house at Doolan’s. He made sure we knew that we were the priority at the moment and he would take however long it needed to answer our questions to make sure we felt comfortable. As the big day approached, we met with PJ for our planning meeting. Music was a huge focus for us as we both love music and we love a wide variety of music. PJ asked specific questions to understand the types of music, genres and overall vibe we wanted for the day. We felt beyond comfortable with what music he had in store for us at our wedding when we left the planning meeting. Additionally, we had PJ do a slideshow for us which was amazing and something he put together quickly and with more photos than he typically uses because we had selected so many. When the reception came, PJ mixed sets that had the entire room dancing from the first song to the last song of the night. The music was perfect and captured everything we wanted. Additionally, we wanted some traditional Portuguese music to be played and he made the songs mesh well within sets that it didn’t make it feel like we had asked to play it and he just placed it anywhere during the night. PJ also had an assistant with him that night who was just as great as him. From the moment we met PJ, he was attentive to our wants, understood our vision of the day and executed it seamlessly. All of our guests commented that they loved the music. We would without a doubt recommend Essential Sounds to anyone who needs a DJ for any event!

Just let PJ do what he does best! He won't disappoint! After being at two parties that he had done it was the simplest part of our vendor selecting. We went in with full confidence that our wedding would a night to remember. He answered any questions my wife had in an awesome response time. I told my now husband that there were two things I wouldn't cut prices for, the entertainment and the catering. I wanted people to walk away and be like "wow that was some great food and a lot of fun!" And PJ went above and beyond for us. Not only did he drive 8 hours to OHIO to be here for our special day but he was there every step of the way! He made everything seamless. He coordinated everything so well. Played all the music we wanted to hear. He had a special custom monogram made for us that incorporated the Marblehead Lightouse (where we got married) and provided all the up lighting! He knew exactly my vision and made it come to life. The up lighting just adds so much more to the room. It was gorgeous!! He had our guest up and dancing ALL night! Knows exactly what to play to please the younger and older crowds. We keep going back to our special night and talking about how much fun we had. We wouldn't of had that without PJ! He is extremely good at his job and makes it his priority to make sure your day is exactly what want!

I knew right away that I wanted to entrust my wedding into the hands PJ and the guys at Essential Sounds Entertainment. I always said that the DJ could make or break the wedding, and PJ definitely made it! He was always quick with a response and solution to any concerns we had. Anything we needed, and so personalized right down to the Disney music during dinner and our Disney monogram! We only hope that we have another opportunity to book them for something again!

I cannot say enough good things about Essential Sounds Entertainment. From the very beginning I knew that this was the entertainment group for our wedding. PJ made the initial process so easy that I knew the rest of the planning process would be a breeze. PJ was so responsive and flexible when planning, we never had to worry that we wouldn’t get what we wanted out of our wedding DJ. We used Essential Sounds for our ceremony music, cocktail hour, and reception and everyone raved about how much they loved the music choices. At the reception, PJ was just as responsive to the guests tastes than he was when we were planning. He could read the crowd really well, which we loved! He never had to ask people to start dancing because he had everyone dancing from the very beginning of the night! We also did the photobooth, which I would highly recommend – everyone had so much fun with it and we were able to create some really amazing memories. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Essential Sounds!!

PJ and his assistant did an AMAZING job at our wedding last weekend! The music flowed all night long and got everyone up dancing. From the cocktail hour selections to the last song of the night they did not disappoint. This business made my wedding a hit. PJ was always prompt in responding to emails and calls during the early process. Our DJ for the event was Anthony and he was high energy and listened to all of our requests. (Anthony was also very quick to respond to us when we reached out to him) People loved the music and only ever stopped dancing to eat or head to the bar. I worked with PJ for our May 2017 wedding and could not have been happier.

PJ was fairly priced, accommodating w our schedules, and responsive to our needs. From the moment our guests walked in they were dancing and PJ is so great at reading the room.

We gave him a lot of freedom as far as choosing songs even for some arguably more important parts of the reception and PJ exceeded our expectations every time.

PJ was awesome every step of the way! He went through our entire night step-by-step with us and had no problem incorporating our custom songs into our ceremony. He played a great variety of music that appealed to every generation at our wedding, one of our guests even booked him for their own wedding at the end of the night! In addition to DJ services, we opted to have a photo booth. Our guests LOVED it, and we loved looking through the scrapbook at the end of the night. From the moment we met/booked him, through the day of the wedding, he was just wonderful - very responsive, personable, easy to work with, and he knows his stuff! We were married at the end of September, and worked with PJ. We were very leery about hiring a DJ to start off with, and did not want the over-the-top, obnoxious, club- type DJ. Essential Sounds' motto delivered exactly what we were looking for- upbeat, personalized entertainment without being in-your-face. He was completely professional, friendly, and flexible. The music selection he created for us was great, and he led the reception through everything we wanted. We were not on time for the start of the reception, but PJ took it in stride and kept the party going on schedule regardless. I became quite anxious in the days leading up to the wedding, and I relayed this to PJ, and I have to say he was amazing. He said "I got this", and he totally did. Much appreciated =). I felt very confident and in good hands, and will definitely look to hire them again for any event in the future. We challenged PJ with the tough task of incorporating three styles of music for our multicultural wedding which included Colombian, Greek and American. PJ did not disappoint and did a WONDERFUL job blending all three types of music. All of our guests were happy and truly enjoyed themselves. The dance floor was jam packed the whole night! All the presentations throughout the night were done very well and everyone's name in the bridal party was pronounced perfectly. The personalized monogram that was created for us was very nice and we were happy to see it in the reception venue during the party. PJ was very responsive throughout the whole planning process which made it very helpful for us and he was very easy to work with. We attended our very good friends wedding two years ago and PJ from Essential Sounds was the Entertainment. I didn't eat my dinner all night because the music was so good all I wanted to do was dance! 1 year later my fiancé and I got engaged and he was the first person that I wanted to call to make sure we booked him for our wedding! -I first met PJ when he was DJ-ing my sister's wedding. My immediate first impression was that he was extremely personable, while simultaneously ensuring every detail was accounted for. I distinctly recall him reviewing each of the bridal party members' name pronunciation so that he would announce everyone correctly. Later on after seeing nearly everyone dancing (like really, realllllly gettin' giggy wit it), I knew I would someday want him to be my DJ for my wedding day, too!
-Fast forward 1 year, and I reached out to my bud PJ to get the ball rolling. From day 1, his availability & responsiveness to my emails was stellar. He was articulate when answering specific questions I had, and his contract was very clear. The best way to describe working with him is "easy & enjoyable"... Literally so much so that I ended up asking him to please officiate our ceremony as well! And I am so glad I did. His conversational weave thoughout the love ceremony was fluid and he kept things moving in a non-choppy way. All in all, everything was beautiful & he did a tremendous job. A lot of my guests commented on how well-spoken he was!
-He also generously gave me an extension on mailing him my deposit, as my husband and I had just bought a house. He is a relatable guy who understands the stress of planning a wedding, and he goes above & beyond to make it as enjoyable as possible. With PJ, what you want is exactly what you'll get. You will not have to wonder if he'll remember this or that/ here or there, because he is a genuine professional at this. He takes all of the guess work out of it for you, gets a solid feel for what type of vibe you hope to set, and then offers excellent song suggestions (I actually chose his first suggestion for my song as I walked down the aisle!). He also suggested "Hand Clap" for us to walk into the reception, and it was PERFECT!! I was 110% blown away by how in tune he was with our hopes for how our special day would flow. PJ & his team at Essential Sounds were so phenomenal to work with. The music played at my wedding reception was one of the main things I cared about- I wanted to have fun at my own wedding and don’t love a lot of traditional “wedding songs.” PJ really took my interests to heart while also catering to the crowd and mixing it up a bit. People were on the dance floor the entire night and a few people mentioned they barely took pictures or ate anything because another good song kept coming on. I wanted to spend some time outside (since we were at the beach) but that didn’t happen either because the music was so good. He was also great about working with us from farther away. My husband and I weren’t able to meet with him live so we did a video chat and PJ was able to suggest songs and play YouTube videos within the chat. When we started looking for our wedding vendors, the venue we chose directed us to PJ and Essential Sounds Entertainment. He was experienced, knowledgeable, professional, and a lot of fun. We initially had him booked as the DJ, and after several correspondences decided that we would also like him to be the officiant for our wedding. He knocked it out of the park. Our family loved our ceremony and a huge part of that was PJ understanding what we were looking for our ceremony to be. It was very comforting to know that we had someone we could trust with such an important part of our lives.

As far as the entertainment, these guys rocked it. They kept the entire wedding engaged and entertained throughout the night. When we went to discuss the music with PJ, he knew what we wanted better than we did! He found the perfect song for every part of the evening, was accommodating when we wanted to change some stuff around last minute, and continued to entertain everyone until the end of the reception. My wife and I just got married on May 14th and I can tell you booking P.J. and the Essential Sounds Entertainment Team was the best decision we could have made. Do yourself a favor and just have one meeting with P.J. Windle. My wife and I knew after ten minutes of meeting with him that he would be managing all the entertainment for our wedding reception. It is the passion that P.J. has for his profession and the genuine interest to meet all your specific needs that will win you over immediately. We even had a live band at the end of the night that P.J. worked with to put together an incredible rendition of the Irish classic "Danny Boy". My husband and I highly recommend Essential Sounds Entertainment! They did our wedding in Point Pleasant, NJ on 5/1/16. They are quick to respond to emails, calls and answer numerous questions as well as providing lots of song examples. Our DJ, Anthony Yepez and PJ Windle ARE TRULY AWESOME! It could not have been a success without you! Anthony gave us great ideas for reception introduction songs, spoke clearly and has a humorous spin that made the night a night to remember, especially when the young kids caught the bouquet & garter!!!

If you are looking for a DJ, look no further. Essential Sounds Entertainment is the best around- there are no better other options for your wedding. PJ Windle is awesome. PJ made everything so easy. As soon as the music started, the dance floor was packed. And guests did not leave the dance floor all night. We left most of the music choices up to PJ and he knew exactly what to play to get our guests up and dancing. PJ promised he would ROCK our wedding and that's exactly what he did. Thank you to PJ and Chris for everything- everyone left happy and exhausted from dancing all night!!

When my wife and I got engaged and we started our wedding planning, there was no other choice than to go with Essential Sounds Entertainment. I had been to weddings previously where PJ and his team provided entertainment and the pacing, energy, and professionalism were head and shoulders above all the others I have seen. Once we started working with PJ he surpassed all expectations. He was constantly in contact with us, getting to know what we liked and disliked and custom tailored our reception to be what we wanted. We were making so many last minute changes and his response was always "No Problem". Also, a huge thing for me was that he never pressured us into any types of upgrades. He mentioned all the services he offered and left it at that unless we inquired further. We did add on the photo booth which I would absolutely recommend to EVERYONE as that helped create a lot of long lasting and some really funny memories! After the reception, I received a barrage of messages on how great his team was. PJ and Chris were constantly keeping the energy up and the pacing kept everyone on the dance floor! Not once did I ever hear him ask people to start dancing, because they were already there! Thank you so much PJ and Chris for making the reception as incredible as you did!

PJ provided absolutely incredible service and I recommend him without qualification or hesitation. Many of our guests commented on how impressed they were and he helped my wife and I have the wedding of our dreams. Here are a couple of reasons why:

-Communication: PJ was incredible with communication. Chloe and I live in India, yet he was able to accommodate our scheduling and communication needs. He was responsive, thorough, and proactive while also being flexible.

-Professionalism: PJ takes his job very seriously. I am a huge "music guy," as were many of our guests. Speaking with PJ, it was clear that this was somebody who sees DJing as a true profession. His experience helped guide us through every decision.

-Music Selection: Our guest list involved a difficult balancing act. A portion of the guest list involved indie and alternative musicians, while others wanted top-40 and oldies. PJ helped guide us through a list that balanced this brilliantly and all of guests were extremely satisfied.

Whether music is the thing you care about most, or something upon which you want to defer completely to a DJ, I recommend PJ 100% and I have never seen someone do it better.

PJ and Essential Sounds Entertainment is a must book for your wedding. From our initial meeting to the day of our reception everything was great. PJ makes you feel like he wants to be a part of your day and make it the best it can be. He is very genuine with his approach to helping with your event even if it has nothing to do with his services. I was in a panic looking for a limo and his suggestion was great and affordable! PJ is very thorough with what kind of music you like and don't like. He helped us pick songs for every part of the reception and gave us a huge list of suggestions for items we couldn't choose like the garter off and entrance songs. A month or 2 before the wedding we decided we wanted a photobooth and there was no problem booking this service so close to the wedding. So happy we ended up going with it because it was one of the highlights of the evening. Everyone had so much fun with all the provided props and the book of pictures and well wishes we received at the end of the night was great to look through after the wedding. The music at the reception was always going and everyone was out dancing. One of the best moments was the tarantella and we even got to do it twice after somehow I missed the first part of it the first time around. We highly recommend PJ and the rest of the staff at Essential Sounds Entertainment for any event!

Pj was nothing short of amazing and made the night so much fun!!! If your looking for a dj who will really listen and make your night special then you have it. He even ignored my drunken brother asking for dirty trap songs when I obviously don't want my grandma boogeying to that hahah I would recommend essential sounds to anyone!!! Just like the name states, its essential to have PJ and his staff on your wedding day to keep the dance floor packed all night long. From the start we explained to PJ we wanted to keep an upbeat tempo throughout the wedding cause we love to dance and he delivered. From the initial interaction with him, PJ is very thorough and well organized to ensure he customizes the day to what each bride and groom is looking for. We utilized him for a few other services to enhance the day with a photo montage and up lighting which was a great touch to add to the atmosphere.

Overall the night went as planned and essential sounds delivered with the perfect blend of music that we wanted on our wedding night. His attention to detail helped make this the perfect day for us. Thank you so much to you and your staff for making this the best day of our lives!

PJ was outstanding! From the first time I contacted him until the day of the wedding he was very professional, responsive and easy to work with. He put us at such ease and we had total confidence that he'd do a great job. When I talk to people about the wedding they always comment on how great the DJ was and how much fun they had. I really appreciate how easy he made things for us. We met him at the time we booked and then two weeks before the wedding. He asked great questions and made sure he understood our style and what we liked. Him being so easily reachable via email was a huge help when I had questions. I cannot recommend PJ and Essential Sounds Entertainment highly enough!!! I had contacted many DJs, but none of them had made me feel as confident as PJ did. From the first time I emailed him for information on his company and services, I knew he was the one we wanted at our wedding. He was SO responsive every step of the way. I don't think I ever waited more than 5 minutes for a response from him - and that's not an exaggeration! :) As someone who was very stressed out about the details (especially in the few weeks before the wedding), I can't tell you how amazing it was to know I could rely on PJ to answer my every question and listen to my every request - within minutes!! My husband and I also didn't want too many bells and whistles, and PJ never once made us feel pressured to do or have more. He respected our every wish.

We lived a little far from PJ, but he was always willing to make the time to talk to us via webcam. This was also huge and put us at such ease. Even though we couldn't have an in-person interaction with him before the big day, we still got to talk to him face to face over the computer, which was so great.

And the day of was perfect! He had everyone dancing, he listened to our every music request, and he emceed perfectly without being obtrusive (which was exactly what we wanted). He even made sure to check in with both us, both before our entrance into the reception, and during the reception to make sure everything was going well. It was a perfect night and everything that we hoped it would be. Thank you so much Essential Sounds Entertainment!!

My Fiance and I went to a wedding last year in May and PJ from Essential Sounds Entertainment who DJ-ed the event just blew us away! We knew then that we needed to book him for our wedding in August 2015. Like our friend's wedding in May, people were up dancing at our wedding this past Friday immediately after the introductions and first dances. Leaving their salads to sit lol. PJ just knows how to work the crowd and get the party going. Everyone loved him and his staff. So many compliments poured in from our Guests. We had a photo booth which we booked through him and also got our place cards from him as well which were beautiful. They were done in photo frames so the guests could then have a frame for their strip of pictures from the photo booth! We also had lighting which really enhanced the room. He is a complete professional and made sure he took care of everything. Ensuring that everything went smoothly. It was such a joy to work with him and I would HIGHLY recommend him and his company and his staff. Whether it's for a wedding or a party, PJ is your guy! Thanks PJ and Essential Sounds Entertainment! We had the best time at our wedding thanks to PJ and Essential Sounds Entertainment! From start to finish, it was a pleasure working with PJ. He was always very quick to respond to emails, and he made sure to play all the songs we wanted to hear. He also sat down and went over every detail of our wedding with us, from the ceremony to the last song. It really put us at ease and calmed our pre-wedding jitters!

We first contacted PJ because he had been recommended to us by a friend. We wanted to shop around and look at other DJs before committing to someone, but after speaking with PJ, we knew he had to be our DJ! PJ is so down to earth and he really knows how to read a crowd. It was a real pleasure to work with PJ. He is so quick to respond to emails (it always felt like he responded before I even hit send!) and he has great recommendations on songs and how to structure and time the reception. He's easy going and pleasant to work with, and we would recommend him in a heart beat. We also got so many compliments on how much fun our guests had at the reception, mostly because of PJ's great song choices! He also works with a very talented pianist, Jerzy Jung, who we were honored to have play for our ceremony and cocktail hour.

PJ is also one of the recommended vendors for Doolan's Shore Club. He really knows the space and staff and it made the whole day come together very smoothly.

PJ did both my ceremony music and reception for my July 10, 2015 wedding. Initially I booked with him because he is so fast with responding to my emails. He always responded within 10 minutes of the message going out. I also liked that he did meetings via web cam, which was important to me because my husband and I lived out of state. The day of my wedding went perfectly. All the music was the way it should be my guests had a great time. PJ even checked in with my husband and I throughout the evening to see if we needed anything. I had a great experience with Essential Sounds and it was the one part of my wedding I didn't have to worry about!

I first reached out to PJ when one of our other vendors fell through. PJ was very responsive, told me he did have avaialbility at our venue and had worked their before. Since he was also recommended through our photographer, he gave us a referral discount. PJ didn't try to upsell us on anything at all but did tell us about all of the other services that Essential Sounds offers - someone to sing, a logo on the dance floor, ceremony musicians and even a photobooth. Had we not been contracted with other vendors, I definitely would have taken him up on the other services.

PJ was not available for our wedding date, but put us in touch with Anthony. Anthony was very quick to answer any questions that we had. We met with Anthony in their offices to discuss the feel and flow of the wedding. The music was very important to my dad (as he put together his own version of a playlist) and to us as well. We wanted our guests (of all ages) to be up dancing most of the evening. Anthony made great suggestions about the flow of the event and was able to assist with setting up a small sound system for our officiant on the day of. They really went out of their way to make sure that every aspect was taken care of.

Anthony curated the perfect playlist for our wedding. It was exactly what we wanted. I would reach out to him with last minute request the week before the wedding and he was very responsive acknowledging the requests and making sure it was taken care of. Everyone said that the music and DJ were amazing. Anthony had everyone was dancing the whole night. Anthony was familiar with our venue which was a huge plus. We can not thank Anthony and Essential Sounds enough for making this a memorable night for us.

PJ was awesome!! He played all the songs we asked him to and stayed away from the ones we didn't like. I told him I wanted dancing ALL night (besides dinner of course); I don't like when I go to weddings and there's no dancing before dinner. He rocked it. He read the crowd perfectly. I have a dancing family and friends so it was perfect. Everyone commented on how great the music was. He is so friendly, flexible, and easy to work with. No complaints what so ever. He did my sister's wedding 3 years ago and I never stopped dancing. Now he's doing my other sister's wedding in September!

Essential Sounds Entertainment (ESE) its one of the most premier DJs in the greater metro area. Bottomline, the owner, PJ, gets it. ESE put together a party that kept ALL of my guests entertained with the perfect mix of music. Other companies think that treating your wedding like a trashy shore bar is okay, but that's just an easy way to clear half the room after the cake is cut. PJ was fantastic and by the time the reception was over, he left the guests wanting more.

We met PJ with Essential Sounds Entertainment last summer at our friends wedding. He did such a great job that we hired him for our own wedding. He was always easy to get in contact with, and the wedding day went perfectly. He was able to incorporate different kinds of music genres to get everyone of all ages out on the dance floor. PJ and his team recently did mine and my wife's wedding a few weeks ago and they did a fantastic job from start to finish. They kept the whole crowd up and dancing the whole time. Essential Sounds (specifically PJ Windle) did an absolutely fantastic job providing DJ an Emcee services for our wedding on October 25th. Not only did several guests comment on the fabulous time they had dancing to the wide range of music genres, but some of our guests even admitted that they had more fun at our wedding than at their own!

PJ was extremely easy to work with and helped me feel comfortable leading up to the big day by providing an anticipated timeline and order of events for the entire reception. He even came over to us several times throughout the reception to make sure we were happy and enjoying our night.

By far my favorite part was the beautiful color monogram spotlight that was shining on the dance floor all night long. It was BEAUTIFUL and it really added an extra special personal touch.

I would highly recommend Essential Sounds to any bride, but especially if you are feeling a little anxious about making sure your day goes smoothly. With Essential Sounds as your music professionals you'll know what to expect and enjoy every second of your celebration!

After a truly hellish time trying to find a DJ, we were referred to Essential by one of my husband's coworkers.

Immediately after filling out the request form on their site, I got an email from PJ quoting a price and offering to set up a call to get started, which was a big deal because the wedding was only a month away. He set us up with Anthony Yepez who was awesome and incredibly easy to work with.

Anthony was incredibly helpful with helping us set up the structure of the event and choosing the types of music we wanted to play throughout the night. He went out and downloaded the stuff that I wanted to hear and he didn't already have. He was incredibly accommodating to our slightly unconventional ceremony.

Throughout the wedding day itself he was always on hand, making sure we were hearing what we wanted to hear and we were happy with the tone of everything.
