Arielle Sent on 11/16/2016If we could give Esprit 6 stars, we would!! Working with Ellen was phenomenal. From the first meeting to the tasting to our wedding, everything was a delight - especially the food!! Approximately 40% of our wedding guests were not Jewish, and they enjoyed the food possibly more than our guests who keep Kosher - no one could tell the difference and everyone complimented us on the wonderful food, from cocktail hour to dessert! Esprit Events Caterers should absolutely be the top of your list for Kosher catering! Thank you for making our wedding so perfect and delicious! -

User2069635 Sent on 03/17/2015Our son was married two days ago and while the wedding was really wonderful, most people just keep telling us how amazing the food was. Esprit did the most spectacular job in a challenging venue. The food was incredibly imaginative and beautifully presented and, most of all, absolutely delicious. We have been to literally hundreds of weddings and never, ever have we tasted steak as delicious as Esprit served. They even managed to roll out a traditional French wedding cake - a tower of profiteroles - in honor of our new French daughter-in-law. Working with Esprit was a delight - the easiest part of the wedding planning. We would use them again in a heartbeat. -
User1883967 Sent on 10/24/2014Esprit catering was incredibly delicious, professional, and easy to work with for our wedding in July. The staff were top-notch from initial contact to the wedding day, especially Eldad. The food was simply amazing. We had a vegetarian/dairy wedding and our guests raved about the food tasting better than at other weddings, kosher or not. We also had a sushi station during the cocktail hour that was visually stunning, and the vegetarian sushi (with fruit too) blew everyone away. We are so happy that we chose Esprit! -
User1715409 Sent on 07/16/2014Espirit catered my wedding on June1, 2014 at the Maritime Parc in Jersey City, NJ. I highly recommend these caterers because they were professional, easy to work with and most importantly have the best food ever! The menus are really well thought out and modern and that’s what I loved about it. I am foodie and typically don’t find wedding food to be the best but mine was : ) -

We wanted a somewhat non-traditional menu ("Sunday Brunch") and they were able to elevate the meal to be elegant and romantic, while keeping the casual brunch vibe I wanted. Everyone raved about the food and I was so happy with the result. All throughout planning, the entire Esprit Events staff was responsive and enthusiastic about making my wedding the best it could be. I really felt like I was a priority and that they would do anything possible to make my day perfect. I am so glad I went with Esprit!

User2183462 Sent on 06/16/2015Superb. Working with Ellen and Eli for our wedding was an amazing experience - they are incredibly detail oriented and the food is outstanding. Everything was beautiful and they were very pleasant to work with throughout the planning process. People loved the sushi bar and the "Dessert Extravanganza" but everything was wonderful from start to finish. Cannot recommend highly enough. Also, if you are looking for a slightly more casual option, Esprit's sister company Village Crown has great options for more casual catering. We went with that for my bridal shower brunch and loved it!

User2391427 Sent on 10/26/2015I have debated leaving a review for months, as I feel badly being negative, and wanted to move past the experience I had with Esprit. I won't go into detail, as it is upsetting, and Esprit did apologize for all of the mistakes that were made...but I do not recommend this caterer for a wedding. The food was OK, but service and professionalism day of and after was atrocious. Bad enough to ruin several hours of my wedding, and keep a sour taste in my mouth months after. I am only writing this review to perhaps steer others in another direction...I have no ill feelings towards them...only hope they get it together. -
User2186202 Sent on 06/18/2015Beware!!! We used Esprit Events for our daughter's wedding, owned by Village Crown Catering. After months of planning, I cannot even begin to describe what a disappointment this caterer was. There was no food ready for the cocktail hour. My guests waited half an hour before the food started to flow, and only after I ran down to the kitchen to see what was going on. They only planned for 2 bartenders for 150 people, so the lines for drinks were unacceptable. They ran out of white wine and champagne and did not refill any water glasses. My husband and I did not get any champagne at our own daughter's wedding! We had decided on a buffet style luncheon with 4 different stations. I was shocked to see tiny appetizer plates set up for the buffets, so guests were only able to take small amounts of food. When they went back for more, the trays were empty because there was not enough help to refill them. The dessert "extravaganza" looked amateurish and skimpy, nothing like pictures they had shown me. There was one buffet table set up for 150 people. The containers of ice cream and whipped cream were never refilled, nor were any of the desserts, in particular the brownies we specifically requested for the groom. And because there was only one table set up, there were such long lines! I chose this caterer based on reviews by other people and seeing pictures of their presentation. I was greatly misled. For the money I spent, I could have used one of the top caterers in NYC. My guests left hungry and thirsty! What an embarrassment! Do not use them!
