Erika is SO insanely talented! She not only created a beautiful piece of art that looked exactly like us and so realistic, but she took the time to ask beforehand specific details that we would want included. Personalized unique wedding keepsake.
I saw live paintings for weddings happening on instagram. I knew I had to surprise my soon to be husband with one for our wedding day. A quick search turned up Erika Event Painting as a local artist. Communication with Erika was easy via email and a quick phone call, I immediately booked her. Payments were super easy as well. Erika arrived at our venue on our wedding day, snagged some photos of our ceremony and went to work during cocktail hour and reception. My husband was so surprised when he saw her. Even better was how completely blown away at the end of the night he was with the finished product. So many guests visited with Erika throughout the night. She was so kind and pleasant with every person. Every guest has complimented me for the unique idea and raved about her process and the finished product! -

A Unique Wedding Element!
I must say that having Erika capture my husband and I’s first dance has been one of the most treasured possessions we have of our wedding day. Each painting she does is unique to each client due to their venue, wedding dress, decorations, etc. When you have a painting of your wedding, no one else has one like it. It’s a one of a kind piece that brings back memories of the best day of your life. Erika’s work is beautiful and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a unique element at their wedding reception with an momento that you get to take home and hang up to see for years to come! -

Beautiful painting
Erika did an amazing job painting my wife and I at the ceremony. She was extremely helpful in realizing our vision for the painting, and once we had that vision she brought it to life right in front our eyes. The live painting added a unique and intimate aspect to the wedding, our guests loved watching her work on the painting throughout the wedding and drew a lot of interest. The first thing my wife and I did when we got home was hang the painting up right away. She was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. If you are thinking about a painter for your wedding, definitely reach out to Erika. -

The absolute best!
Erika is simply amazing. She is talented beyond words! She arrived to the venue early to paint the background of our venue and when the time came to paint our first dance, she captured my husband and I perfectly. One of a kind painting!
I couldn't have been luckier to have found Erika to be the live event painter at our wedding! She was super friendly and extremely easy going through the whole process of signing a contract to meeting the day of the wedding to taking my painting home! She even took it upon herself to paint a hidden Mickey into our picture when she realized we were a Disney loving couple! It's my favorite part of the painting and the most magical of touches! We got married during Covid and like many we had to change our venue to my parents backyard. I was even more happy to have had Erika be a part of our day in such an intimate and sentimental setting! She was absolutely wonderful! Still can't believe how beautiful our painting is! -

If your thinking of using a live painter for your event then book with Erika! I can’t begin to explain how impressed I am with her work. The details in the painting are amazing, you can tell exactly who each person is. She captured everyone’s expressions perfectly! Erika was so easy to work with, she was extremely responsive through the entire process. She kept me updated along the way with progress pictures and a timeline of when she would be finished. -

Perfect addition to our wedding
Erika was the perfect addition to our wedding. Not only was the final painting PERFECT (literally perfect), the experience of having her paint live at our wedding was incredible. Our guests were truly amazed. So many of them came up to us during, and after the wedding paying so many compliments! They loved Erika and watching the process come to life.
I couldn't recommend Erika enough. She was a pleasure to work with and she is exceptionally talented. I would without a doubt book her again if I had to do it all over. Remarkable!

Wedding painting
Erika is beyond talented 5 stars isn’t enough! I met Erika when I first started dating John who was the best man at one of his best friends weddings. I saw Erika painting and asked for her card hoping that some day I would be able to have a painting as beautiful as the one she painted for John’s friend. I was lucky I booked Erika the minute I was engaged because she gets booked right away. This is because she’s this talented. Erika your work is beautiful, and timeless. My husband and I can’t thank you enough for our beautiful canvas painting. You are a true artist. You are such a pleasure to work with so caring and understanding. Look no further than Erika!
I knew I wanted a live artist at my wedding before I even got engaged. My best friend showed me pictures of a wedding that she went to and that was the first time I ever saw that there was even such a thing so I fell in love with the idea. After I did get engaged, my friend was able to get me the contact information for the woman whose work I saw pictures of. I reached out to her numerous times and left her several messages, but she never responded. Then it occurred to me that she couldn’t be the only person around who did this sort of thing so I started doing some research. Luckily, this is how I stumbled across Erika and her jaw dropping talent so I immediately reached out to inquire about booking her for my big day. Not only was she quick to respond, she answered every question I had with patience and kindness. She was friendly and provided all of the pricing options in a timely manner, including all of the details that go into what decides the final price (ie. size of the painting, how many people included, what moment you want captured, etc.) You also have the option of taking it home at the end of the night or waiting a few months, which gives her time to take the painting home and perfect her masterpiece m, which is so worth it! She even takes headshots of those individuals that you identify to be in the painting so that she ensures every detail will be included. We recently received our final product and were absolutely flawed. Yes, we have beautiful photos from the day, too, but there is just nothing like this unique way to remember the day! The original woman I reached out to not being responsive was a major blessing in disguise! I would recommended Erika 1000 times over. Can you tell? :) -

I found Erika through Instagram, reached out, and quickly heard back! Erika was very easy to get in contact with and we stayed in contact leading up to my wedding. Erika sent over a questionnaire with specific details related to the painting, including the exact scene we want painted, who to paint, what the wedding colors are, and if there is anything else we would like for her to include (e.g., I had asked that she paint the entire train of my dress, rather than it bustled as it will actually be at the time of the first dance).
My husband, our guests, and I were amazed at how much of the painting Erika had already finished by the end of the night and the detail she was adding. We cannot wait to see the finished product!!
We definitely recommend hiring a painter for your wedding. It allows you to capture this special moment in such a unique way...especially with Erika's details, I'm sure that we will feel like we are right back in that moment when we will be looking at the finished product. -

A Grandview Wedding
We had seen a live painter at a wedding in Florida and absolutely loved the idea. We chose Erika because we liked her style and we loved her other work (see her Instagram). She was very helpful with suggestions during the process and was flexible to what we wanted. Not only was she willing to paint people in, but she also painted our dog, Vince, in.
Erika was also very helpful in suggesting what to paint - we originally chose our first dance, but changed it to the ceremony which was moved indoors due to rain. Despite the last minute changes, Erika was great and the painting came out beautifully. We picked it up today and we cannot say enough about how beautiful it is!
Having Erika paint our ceremony was our wedding gift to ourselves. A photograph can be beautiful and can capture a moment, but it isn't as special as a painting, which is rare and unique. Our guests loved seeing her paint during the reception and we'll have this painting for our whole lives, which would not have been possible without Erika.
Give yourselves the gift of her painting. You'll love the painting and you'll cherish the special way of portraying your moment. -

Three months later and I am still hearing from guests about the lovely touch a live painting is. Erika arrives early and starts to paint the back round of the room. There were a few guests I wanted captured for the painting, especially my mom who passed away 2 years ago. She captured each person in our life to the smallest detail, even the Mehndi in their hands! Seeing my mom brought tears to my eyes. I also asked Erika to capture the moment of my groom and I walking around the fire with flower petals thrown at us as blessings.
