We cannot say enough good things about Erica and Erica Johanna Photography. Erica was fabulous to work with and through down to the last detail and informational form. One of my friends had actually had Erica photograph her wedding so I got to witness how she worked and how seamless she made the busy wedding day and knew we had to have her shoot our day! She is thoughtful, creative and works very efficiently. She is kind, respectful and friendly to all! Our parents could not say enough good things about her on the wedding day. We loved how our engagement photos turned out and how she made sure to incorporate the color details and colors into our portraits. We are anxiously awaiting our wedding day photos and know we are in the best of hands with Erica! We could not say enough good things about Erica and would recommend her to anyone! Erica does more than weddings, engagement photos, seniors and families. -

I came across Erica’s page via an Instagram search, and I instantly fell in love with the vibrancy and authenticity of her style. Her work speaks for itself—she’s a tremendous artist—but what I hope to attest here is how much MORE you get with Erica. I’m not photogenic and I’m terribly awkward while being photographed. My fiancé and I also have a significant height difference, me being 4 inches taller. All this to say, it’s not easy to make us look good. But Erica put us immediately at ease, giving us perfect cues for posing, making us laugh, and giving genuine compliments to keep us motivated. We had an absolute blast on our engagement shoot finding awesome places in northern Minnesota, taking advantage of the gorgeous fall colors, and feeling like we’d made a great friend in Erica. It was the perfect chance to practice for wedding photos, and having that confidence in Erica made the day go so very smoothly. Nothing was left to chance or overlooked. Erica sent a detailed questionnaire to find out what our priority was for photos and what unique or meaningful touches were special to us. We talked through the whole day via video chat, and the photography timeline was laid out super clearly. Despite being crazy organized and overprepared, Erica is down for anything and great at improvising and adjusting to the needs of the moment, her easygoing personality set the tone for our entire day. She’s just fun to hang out with. She went above and beyond for us, even setting up a video call on a tripod so that my fiancé’s parents could watch our ceremony live from South Africa. And then there’s the actual photos: stunning. I can’t even believe the final product- the bright beautiful colors, the genuine emotion, the perfect timing, and delightful subtleties. She made us look SO good. And she sent a great number of our photos to us within a few days of our wedding, allowing us to share the excitement of the day while it was still fresh. I can’t say enough good things about Erica. I literally turned to my fiancé on our wedding day and said, “aside from agreeing to marry you, choosing Erica was the best decision I’ve made for this wedding.” I stand by that. 10/10 I recommend working with Erica, let her blow your socks off too. -

10/10 would recommend!!
We absolutely loved working with Erica. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable getting our photos taken - which really helped our personalities shine through in the photos! I am thrilled with how our engagement and wedding pictures turned out. I also loved that Erica would share sneak peaks and "highlights" (which was actually SO many photos!) with us after our sessions. I know some couples working with other photographers who waited 8-12 weeks to get their pictures back, we were always so impressed at how quickly Erica got photos to us. It made the wait for the final product so much easier!
Erica seriously went above and beyond our expectations for a wedding photographer, including helping making sure the important aspects of our wedding were met on the day (for me: a calm, stress-free environment in the hours preceding my wedding). We would most definitely recommend EJP! -

We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Erica. From the beginning to the end, she was detail oriented, present, and so easy to work with. She made us feel comfortable and natural in front of a camera. Her constant, “you guys this is so beautiful,” as she snapped the camera, had Nick convinced that he could quit his job to become a model.
In addition to her ongoing encouragement and positive feedback, we can’t say enough about how easy Erica made it to plan our wedding. We only hope we can be as organized as Erica some day. She creates a detailed timeline outlining everything from when she will photograph reception details to cutting the cake. She makes the timeline accessible on her portal and modifies it as other details fall into place.
Erica’s creative eye and willingness to go with the flow or try something new help her to create original, authentic photos that capture joy, intimate moments, and even a pop-up, midwestern hurricane every now and then! You are missing out if you overlook Erica Johanna Photography!! -

An extremely amazing person who just happens to also take awesome pictures! I actually had no interaction with Erica before the wedding as my Primary Photographer hired her at the last minute for us. But I trusted anyone she brought on! And I am SO happy she was a part of our day. Erica was just so KIND and professional in everything she did and it was extremely awesome to watch her bounce ideas off of the other photographers and videographers that we had. I had no idea until after that it was also her first time in California and I just feel so honored to have her be there for our day! Thank you again for your awesomeness and I am just so thankful for you putting your all into making sure our day was so amazing! -

Amazing! That is the first one that comes to mind when thinking of Erica and Neil. They captured our wedding perfectly from the small details to the very large family photos. They made both of us feel so comfortable and relaxed during the entire process. They are willing to work with you on every detail you have an even go above and beyond. We are beyond pleased and excited to have them photograph our most important day! Lastly, the photos we have received so far are nothing short of amazing and we look forward to seeing the remainder soon. Great quality with overall great people! Thank you so much Erica and Neil. Erica and Neil are simply amazing!!
Erica and Neil are simply amazing. I could not recommend them more, I love that they really care about the people they are working with. First of all - they traveled down to the middle of nowhere Texas, where my husband is stationed, just for our engagement pictures and to get to know us (because of the military there was no way we were going to make it back to MN for the pictures).
Erica was my go to girl for so many questions and she was so helpful, not sure I could have done this without her. They were both so great helping us figure out a timeline for the day and making sure we got all of the pictures we wanted. On our wedding day when things got stressful or we were running late, they had a way of making it less stressful. They made pictures fun and we loved working with them - they are just the kind of people you want to be around, especially on your wedding day! -

One of the reasons we initially were attracted to work with Erica and Neil was because they are two photographers! Having two individual people taking pictures at your event, means you don't have to worry about missing a moment. Both Erica and Neil are amazing people and photographers. Communication was super easy, and they were very flexible with calls. I personally appreciated how they were willing to stay past the standard time slot we arranged for our engagement photos. This to me showed dedication to capturing the best photos, not just working for a specific time. Through the whole process, Erica and Neil were able to provide schedules, items to think about, and additional information you wouldn't expect to get from a photographer. They simply went above and beyond with their work. Each session was so natural and we never felt pressured or uncomfortable. We would, without hesitation, recommend them to any of our closest friends and family. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, Choose Erica and Neil. -

Erica and Neil were such amazing people to work with. We loved how personal and intentional they were. Throughout the entire day they made us feel so special and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. BEST photographer ever!
Where do I even begin? We were a wedding that needed to reschedule during the pandemic. Our original photographer couldn't do our new date. We found Neil and Erica - we didn't even meet them in person until our wedding day. I felt like we had known them our whole life. They are very personable and go with the flow. They knew exactly what they're doing. The pictures turned out AMAZING and we got them back very quickly. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer. I know we will use them again in the future! -

Unbelievable team. Beautiful photos.
We interviewed Erica and Neil before selecting our photographers. They knocked it out of the park. They were prepared, professional, and most importantly, personable. I feel like we had friends with us the whole time. I lack any creative bones so thank the Lord Erica and Neil are so awesome at what they do. We were stress free during pictures thanks to them and they gave us highlight pictures immediately after the wedding. Our shots were done and ready for us to see in weeks, not months, and they are BEAUTIFUL. Erica's team are above and beyond in service and communication, they lent ears when we had to change our date and things felt crazy. We completely made the right choice in having them as part of our day. I could not, can not stress how much you'll love this business if you hire them. -

Flexible and unbeatable quality!
We felt so comfortable with Erica and Neil, they did a great job of understanding our wedding vision and giving us exactly what we asked for. They are top tier quality for a fair and reasonable price. The photos are more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! Additionally, we really appreciated how flexible Erica & Neil were during COVID. There were no problems with changing the contract as wedding plans changed and they were so accommodating. That just shows how committed they are to ensuring the best possible experience for their clients! -

Amazing! Above and Beyond!
If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding who is fun, flexible, patient, kind and extremely talented, look no further. Erica was incredible. It doesn’t stop there either. You will also get her laid back, goofy and wonderfully talented husband, Neil, as well. Those two are the perfect duo. I remember being nervous about finding a wedding photographer but was WOW’d by her beautiful and bright pictures. They made our engagement and wedding photos into more than I could ever imagine. They caught moments of our special day that I will cherish forever and I can feel the love just looking at them. Erica helped put our minds at ease from the very first e-mail exchange inquiring about her business. She is a great communicator, fast responder and very organized. She truly went above and beyond to help make us feel comfortable and confident during our pictures and all of the planning up until the wedding day and even after it was all over. I would recommend this wonderful team to anyone, including my closest friends and family. -

Simply amazing!!
If you are looking for a wedding photographer look no further! Erica and Neil are AMAZING! Their communication is great, they are on top of everything from a wedding picture timeline to all of the other little details you don’t even think of! They are also so TALENTED! I got married less than a week ago and am getting back some pictures already- and let me tell you what they are fantastic!! And in terms of people - they are so nice, personable, and organized! Multiple people came up and asked who they were and what their information was at the wedding- everyone loved how they worked with the different families and bridal party to get all the pictures done! Thank you Erica & Neil for an unforgettable wedding experience! :) -

Erica and Neil really went above and beyond for us. They're incredibly pleasant to work with and made the entire experience fun and easy. The photos are stunning and the price is very reasonable! They had our highlights available in a few days. Very quick turnaround. We did our engagement and wedding photos with them and I would recommend them to anyone! -

I highly recommend Erica for your wedding or family photos. Erica and Neil were absolutely fantastic to work with. We are an older couple and our wedding was small with close family. Our wedding took place on a cold sleet/snow evening at a location on Lake Minnetonka with extremely treacherous driving conditions. Nonetheless they were on time, took care to photograph us in flattering poses and took wonderful family pictures on top of the wedding pictures. Their photos were beautiful and they delivered them edited and electronically within a week of our wedding. -

The absolute best!
Our wedding pictures turned out so amazing thanks to Erica and her husband Neil! They were very professional yet so friendly and loving. After my wife and I met with Erica and Neil prior to our wedding to talk about pictures, we knew that we would be fools to choose anyone other than Erica and Neil. They were so friendly and great that during our wedding we felt that they were really apart of it. We can not thank Erica and Neil enough for how great they did! -
