Best wedding decision!
I can’t begin to say how amazing our experience was with Epicurean. We worked with Taryn from start to finish and she couldn’t have been more wonderful. Not only did she ensure that we ended up with the perfect custom menu for our unique Jewish/Greek fusion, she went above and beyond in terms of helping us plan the details of our table settings and arrangements and helping us make countless decisions that would have otherwise seemed overwhelming (e.g., whether to bring in tenting or additional lighting). Taryn was always available via email/phone and made time for multiple meetings in person in the months leading up to the wedding. She is a true professional who makes sure your event is done right, but she is also a genuinely passionate and warm person, which makes working with her a fantastic experience.
The day of the wedding everything went so smoothly: the appetizers and desserts were set up beautifully, the food was astoundingly delicious (guests couldn’t stop raving), and the staff were friendly and professional. I am so glad we chose to work with Taryn and Epicurean and truly hope we get the chance to work with them again!I can’t begin to say how amazing our experience was with Epicurean. I cannot say enough great things about Natalie and the rest of the Epicurean team. Natalie was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the very beginning of the planning process, she was incredibly organized, open to ideas and feedback, and just a beacon of positivity. She was definitely my favorite vendor I worked with for the wedding. She worked with us to create a menu that fit our budget and was the only caterer we found who could create a menu that fit our vision of an Asian inspired menu that would still be crowd pleasers for a variety of tastes! We had a miso cod dish that I'm still thinking about- one of our wedding guests keeps trying to recreate it at home because he loved it so much.
They truly went above and beyond for us both leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. I sent Natalie a photo of what I was thinking for my escort cards and she actually placed the order for me and hand wrote them all! On the day of the wedding, the little kids wanted something more plain, so someone from the staff went out and bought them all McDonalds. We didn't even know until after the wedding that they'd done that! The service was fantastic, and they made sure the groom and I always had food and drinks on hand. They even packed up some food for us at the end of the night. We loved all the dishes and cannot recommend them highly enough! From quality of food to professionalism, Epicurean really stood out as heads above the other caterers.I cannot say enough great things about Natalie and the rest of the Epicurean team. Absolute perfection. Everything with Epicurean Catering was exactly what they promised from start to finish. When I walked in the reception they handed me a drink and the service was incredible from there on out.
The food was a gorgeous as it was delicious and our guests were blown away with how wonderful it was. A dream to work with the fun people at Epicurean and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.Absolute perfection. All the Epicurean staff that worked with us were wonderful, from the executive chef that created the menu to the server that came an hour early to make sure the tables were decorated just as we wanted them. We loved having a tasting of the foods to be served (with wine) at a table decorated with our lemon table runner, with Epicurean's ideas/suggestions for linens, table settings, table decor, appetizers, courses, style of service. You name it, Epicurean staff helped us with it. Larry's pizza was mouth watering. The wedding was truly amazing, with wonderful food and wine and service. When quality means the world to your wedding, and you don't want to worry about a thing, go with high proven service. I worked with Stephanie Bohr and her team at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and I cannot say enough amazing things about her and the team. Our event hosted over 1000 people and with many different moving parts her team executed the event flawlessly. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. There is a reason why they are known to be one of the best in the industry! All of the staff was friendly, professional, and reliable. When we needed to evaluate potential overflow and contingency plans, Stephanie helped and offered solutions without hesitation. I loved working with this team. Epicurean catering was a dream. Jessica was great with emails, and came to meetings, and made sure my event was perfect! She even was in my little food truck serving food at my event!!! The food was absolutely delicious, and many guests said it was the best food they've ever had. Lauren was in charge of my event, and she was a superstar as well! The entire staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Lauren made sure that she set aside some of the appetizers and put them on our sweetheart table so we could try them. It was so thoughtful!
They all were just fantastic, and I could not have picked a better caterer to do my event. My venue is a difficult one to cater, and Jessica made sure that I had everything that I wanted or needed.
So wonderful, I could not say enough about this company. They let me bring like ten people to the tasting, all complimentary. They set up chairs for the ceremony and moved them for the reception. They stayed and cleaned and took trash.. They worked very well with all of my other vendors. They were perfect!!!!!

Epicurean went above and beyond any of our expectations! From the first meeting, to the tasting, and all the way through the wedding reception, they were attentive, quick to respond, and incredibly friendly. Our captains, Joel and Leslie, were not only attentive to us as the bride and groom, but also to al of our guests throughout the evening. Our event planner, Connor, was on top of all our details and was fantastic with communicating to us and other vendors. Our tasting was scheduled around our time constraints to meet our needs. Chrissy’s catering expertise and guidance was invaluable to us! As mother of the bride, I had high expectations and an extreme attention to detail. Chrissy and Eric Anderson always answered my many questions and inquiries. Their pleasant enthusiasm was genuine – we always left our meetings with them feeling positively excited, knowing they were working our event. Our tasting event was exceptional and fun! Chrissy, Eric, and Jenna Johansen provided a tasting experience that was memorable in itself. We enjoyed our happenstance opportunity to meet Mr. DiPasquale, CEO and Founder. We absolutely LOVED Epicurean! Wesley and Matthew were the ones we worked with from start to finish and they were both just amazing. They took our ideas and worked with us on the little details that made our event truly amazing. I cannot say enough good things about Epicurean's team - their staff was attentive and professional. We received so many compliments from our guests on how great the service was and of course how delicious the food was. Everyone RAVED about the food! We did food stations - a carving station, a mashed potato station and a vegetable/corn on the cob station. I think the mashed potato station was the favorite with many people going up for a second, third or even fourth visit to try something different! Thanks to Epicurean for a truly amazing evening, we couldn't have done it without you!We absolutely LOVED Epicurean! I had my Wedding at Sports Authority Field at Mile High so I has to use Epicurean, and I am so glad I did. The food was AMAZING and everyone was so helpful in choosing what to have on the menu and how to set everything up. I barely had to do any work. The day of staff was awesome!!! So helpful and made everything go smoothly. We worked with Chrissy Lefler at Epicurean, the caterer for our wedding reception at Palazzo Verdi in Greenwood Village, CO. We were actually originally working with another staff member from Epicurean who left for another position just as we were getting started on the planning, but Chrissy reached out, hopped in and immediately was on board with our vision (our budget) and had great ideas for the venue, presentation and the food. She worked REALLY well with our Palazzo Verdi representative (Epicurean is the exclusive caterer for this venue) and was an invaluable part of the wedding team. Really, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chrissy, her professionalism, responsiveness, creativity and the fact that she really LISTENED first before offering suggestions/ideas. Also, as a special needs bride (I medically have to eat gluten free, or else I cannot function), she helped assuage my fears about gluten cross-contamination. Our food was absolutely delicious and I didn't get sick!! Perfect on all accounts. Our account manager, Jill was absolutely fantastic and used her extensive experience to provide additional ideas that really helped us find exactly what my wife and I wanted. The food was absolutely wonderful at our wedding and Epicurean was able to offer both a pasta and mac and cheese bar, which was delicious. The roast beef at the carving station we had was cooked perfectly and there was more than enough food to go around. One item I appreciated was that we never had to work with our rental company, Epicurean handled it all for us. All we had to do was give them payment. Epicurean was amazing to work with! We used their food truck for our wedding day and the guest raved about the food. The sliders and Mac and Cheese were a hit. We worked with Jessica prior to the day of and she was excellent. The staff was great the day of. They worked quickly and were excellent with all of our guest. I decided not to dismiss tables and just let guest go up whenever to the food truck. They handled the challenge getting great food out quickly. They also provided us with a bartender who was very personable!Epicurean was amazing to work with! We used their food truck for our wedding day and the guest raved about the food. My husband and I love fabulous food and wanted to share our love with all our family and friends at our wedding. Matthew, Jessica and Jenna did an outstanding job (often going above and beyond) to help us create a menu that was totally "us"-fun, inventive and all within our budget. Due to the venue we chose for our wedding, this was the only vendor we could use for catering as it was an exclusive relationship. We felt that the food was delicious and our guests enjoyed their meals. The entree portions were fair but the hors devours were very small and you do not get your bang for the buck. We felt this caterer was out of our price range but did not have much control over this because we fell in love with the venue. Our biggest issue was the contact we had at Epicurean. While she was responsive to emails and professional, she built our menu without giving us options (i.e. put a salad on there that we didn't care for and later we learned there were many more salad options), she was vague with pricing (i.e. at the tasting we were told that there would be 4 appetizers, but later we found out each guest only got three so we would have to add more money there), and in general it felt like she was not as organized as we would have liked. Unfortunately, it got to a point where we had to involve upper management, but thankfully, things were resolved from that point on. Epicurean in Denver recently catered my wedding and while the food was great...the service leading up to and after were HORRIBLE! Their method of dealing with clients is quite surprising considering how long they've been in business. Things that were offered to win them the business were later taken away, costs began to mysteriously increase while the menu did not change, day-of specifics were withheld until 48 hours before...making for a nightmare few days leading up to. To top everything off, after the wedding our CC was charged additional money with NO explanation. When asked to provide details, we were told, "Sorry you have a bad taste in your mouth about our billing, and by the way our CFO did you a favor and decided not to charge you for your tasting, we normally charge the client back for that". WOW! Especially since the "free" tasting in question was meant to save the business as our first experience with Epicurean food was awful. Oh and need I mention that the friends we referred to them just signed a contract....sure wish I had known all of this before the recommendation. They are barely worth a half of a star, and here is why:
We hired them for our wedding after an extensive search because they appeared to be professional and on top of things. And they were...until the day of the wedding.
They were 3 hours late! We had to postpone the start of the ceremony because the food truck had not arrived. When we asked why, we received a vague answer about it not making it up the hill. So there wasn't any food for the wedding party as we planned.
When they finally did get things going they failed left and right. The coffee, when it was eventually put out was cold, the food was not nearly the quality we tasted months before at their kitchen, and a few of our wedding party got snarky, rude responses from the staff when asking for basic things.
When we tried to follow up to get an understanding of what went wrong, they gave us the run around, continuing with vague answers. After two weeks, we finally found out that the reason for the 3 hour delay was because they forgot half the food when they initially arrived and turned around to drive back to Denver to get it. Common sense would say to at least drop off what you have or call for another truck to drive up.
They were petty in negotiations on the cost and refund for their failed service.
In the end, one of most unprofessional companies I have experienced. You only get a wedding day once, and they blew their end of the deal big time.They are barely worth a half of a star, and here is why:

Epicurean was a huge disappointment at our wedding. We chose them because of their reputation as the "best" and because we had big, exciting plans for our wedding dinner. We had an $11,000 food budget for 80 guests. The cost was so high because we had such high food presentation standards, and because we were hiring a literal army of staff to plate seated dinner to our guests simultaneously. 8 waiters placing 8 plates in front of 8 guests at the same time. That detail, and so many others, were in fact completely ignored by Epicurean the night of the wedding while my husband and I sat there in shock and disappointment during our wedding dinner rather than enjoying ourselves. Some of the food on our menu was completely wrong (& they were clear on what we wanted after 4 tastings) & their chicken was awful. Inedible. Sawdust. So upsetting because it had been delicious in our tastings. We're sharing this honest yet negative review because Epicurean refuses to offer any remedy to the fact we paid dearly for services they did not provide. Take caution when hiring the "best."
