Our Sunrise Engagement Photoshoot Was PERFECT

Jenni was simply perfect to work with. I am a very detail-oriented person, and Jenni matched my specificity and my energy as well. We were set to have a sunrise shoot in Avon, but our rental moved houses due to a power outage before we arrived. We ended up staying in Frisco, which changed the angle of the sunrise. Jenni helped me navigate the process of figuring out the best angles for the shoot. We even had some weather issues and I was super lucky that Jenni had extra availability, which she readily offered me. We caught my (now) fiancée by total surprise! Jenni was so professional, friendly, and matched our energy 1:1. The photos were absolutely stunning and everyone from friends and family, to fellow gym regulars were sure to let us know! We highly recommend Jenni for any occasion.

Waves beach wedding

Jenni was fabulous at my daughter's wedding even being flexible with the time of the ceremony due to an incoming storm. The pictures turned out wonderful. We appreciate the different viewpoints that she took, including the families
She anticipated our needs and was able to accommodate everything from the brides preparation to the ceremony to the special moments in between. The pictures are extra special. I would highly recommend Jenni!

Surprise proposal

Jenni was amazing to work with and through her pictures I get to relive my proposal for years to come! I'm very thankful that my now fiancé asked her to take our photos, they are all amazing!

Jenni is amazing! She responded within hours of contacting her with everything I needed. Everything was perfect.jenni arrived early,took pictures of everything you could imagine and had many creative ideas that made for beautiful photographs.she was also great about moving through each picture quickly and telling us all where to be and how to stand etc.for us,the speed at which she got everything done was important because we had a sunset wedding,and the sun was going down fast.we ended up with hundreds of awesome pictures with many different shades in the sky.i can't imagine you'd want anyone else doing your pictures if getting married in the outer banks!

Jenni is amazing! We have only seen sneak peeks so far but we love them all. She is super fun to work with as well. I would recommend her to everyone. It also helped being able to communicate through email since my husband and I are from out of state.

Do not hesitate hiring Jenni with Epic Shutter Photography!

We felt as if we had a friend behind the shutter taking pictures for us on the beach in Avon, OBX. She was extremely creative in photo concepts and layouts. Jenni helped us stay organized throughout the entire event to the point we literally didn't have to think or stress We are more than happy with the quality and amount of pictures we received and are so happy she was there to capture the day. Amazing! Love the results. Exquisite color and sharpness. Everything pops! I just ordered several photos for our walls. Love that we took the time to take beach family photos and found Epic Shutter. Jenni did such a great job getting our 3 year old son and dog to look at the camera! She was so friendly and easy-going. The blog link was uploaded in the timeframe she promised and the CD with images arrived early. Very pleased.

Book Jenni!!! She was fabulous, fun and creative when photographing our wedding. We had told our kids we were having family beach pictures done while on vacation but we were really getting married. It rained all day so we found an alternate location under the gazebo at Tale of the Whale and Jenni was able to capture the reactions of our kids and the love in our truly blended family. The sneak peak pictures are incredible.....we can not wait for the rest!

We used Epic Shutter for a family photo session, but I would recommend Jenni for weddings as well. She excelled at capturing my family in a candid manner, and I know when I looked for photographers for my wedding I looked for someone who could record the spontaneous moments not just posed and staged shots. Her photos were artistically done as well. She was prompt and friendly. I would recommend her to anyone, and I plan to use her in the future!

Jenni is a professional in every sense of the word. From the time we discussed her booking until we received our final gallery she was a pleasure to work with. Our wedding was on a very hot day, and she worked quickly and thoroughly to get all the best shots. She responded to all of our questions as we prepared, and she made sure she got the shots that were important to us, especially of family and friends. She got her blog up within a few days and that was really great - having some memories to share so quickly. The final gallery was amazing.

Our engagement session went great! Since we're both from out of state, Jenni took the time to suggest several locations for our photos, each with a different view (sand dunes, lighthouse, and beach). She took the time to look at pictures I put on Pinterest, and printed them out and brought them to our session so she could try and make sure we got all of them. She gave us some direction (since we're definitely not professional photo subjects!), but then let us wander around and catch all of those special moments between us. The thing that stood out about Jenni was her amazing energy - she really cared to capture who WE are as a couple. After the engagement session, she had some "sneak peeks" for us within a couple of days, and we had our private gallery in CD form and online within a few weeks. There aren't many photographers that do that kind of turnaround time!

On the wedding day, Jenni arrived with multiple cameras and her bubbly personality, and got to work right away on walking through the venue with me to talk about final picture details. It was so nice to review what we had talked about, because on the wedding day, I had a million things running through my head!

During the ceremony and reception, Jenni made sure to get both random and posed shots of our guests. When we got our CDs of images, we were so surprised at all the moments she captured that we didn't know happened! It was like she was in multiple places at once (hard to do, considering our venue was a 3-story home, with different activities on each floor).

I would highly recommend Jenni and Epic Shutter Photography for your wedding events (she did our engagement pictures too). She is reasonably priced, incredibly responsive, and a refreshing break from stuffy, traditional photographers. We hope to work with her again in the future for family pictures or other events!

Jenni was everything we could have asked for and then some! She showed up exactly when she said she would, got along with everyone (which can be difficult at times with our families!), and was happy to go above and beyond with our wedding photos. She was good at getting the kids who were involved to smile and look at the camera, and was great at helping us with what poses and shots would look best. She definitely had some great ideas that we had not thought about, and those came out excellent also.

We also took advantage of her willingness to come back to us at sunset to take additional pictures, and that was equally as great. I highly recommend taking the time away from the wedding day and getting those sunset pictures.

Overall we are very happy with Jenni at Epic Shutter and highly recommend using her services for a wedding or any other photo shoot you may want to have!

The photographer was very enthusiastic throughout the entire session. Not only did she take some amazing pictures, but you can tell she had fun while doing so. I believe it's her passion for what she does that makes the gallery received after she is finished compiling, all the more superb. With small directions and suggestions, she was able to capture amazing snaps while the lighting (sun in my case) hit just right, allowing nature all around you to help accent the piece of work. I would highly recommend Epic Shutter Photography for anyone who is planning an event on the outer banks!!!

Jenni was incredible! We were very comfortable with her since we first met her. She is very professional and makes sure her clients get everything they need. Her pictures are beautiful and she is very focused on getting everything that is going on at your wedding. LOOK NO FURTHER!!!! Jenni is truly a up to beat one of a kind photographer which you will find out once you start your session. We have gotten so many comments on our pictures she gave you a lot of pictures to choose from, look at the vibrant colors, she did such a great job!! if your like me and heading to the beach and want those memories to last FOREVER call Jenni she capturies them all and while the rest had hidden fees hers is one set price and it was the best I found!!! When you are traveling across the country it is so hard to know the quality you will get; however, it was such a joy to work with Jenni. She was very engaging in our emails as we planned a trip for over 40 people from all over the US and did not hesitate to take on our project. While Jenni was fantastic to work with, the highlight is truly her work. She is passionate about what she does and ensures your family gets exactly what they want (even the pinterest pictures you sent her in an email). We plan on making another trip to the OBX. I plan on hiring Jenni again!

Jenni was the ultimate professional. She arrived on time and traveled to our home for our family/newborn photography session. She moved quickly to set up her equipment and props and then effortlessly enrolled our 10 and 7 year old into the process making them cooperate and smile effortlessly. During the newborn session, she was patient during times of fussiness, feedings and diaper changing all while providing an amazing end result and creatively unique pictures our family will cherish for a lifetime. I plan on using Jenni again for one year old pictures and senior pictures in the near future.

Jenni was all in for our wedding. From the moment she got there (early!) to the moment she left, she was constantly capturing moments and looking for the best pictures. Jenni struck a great balance of authentically capturing moments as they happened and asking us to create some poses and shots that she didn't want us to miss. We worked in several different spaces, and Jenni was able to creatively use each one. Our wedding party and guests felt very comfortable with her and were able to act naturally because even though Jenni was everywhere, she was never noticeable or in the way. When needed, she was able to provide clear direction and organization to our family and the wedding party for the formal shots - it was just what we needed and delivered in a professional and personal way. It was very clear in talking with Jenni and in seeing her work on our wedding day that she is passionate about her work and she develops a personal connection with her clients that makes her invested in getting the best shots possible. She is down-to-earth and great to work with! We hope our paths cross again and hope we can work with her again in the future.

Jenni was great! She made our senior portrait experience fun and memorable. I love it when I work with someone who is not only good at what they do, but are passionate about it. We really had fun! Jenni was amazing from beginning to end! She arrived precisely on time and went straight to work finding the best area to set up for the portraits. As with all newborns, our daughter needed to nurse and be changed frequently. Jenni was understanding, patient, and flexible with working around the baby and her needs. Jenni knew exactly what positions were most comfortable for our little girl, and she would change her plans depending on how our baby wanted to lay or what she wanted to do in the moment. Jenni was such a pleasure to work with, having a great positive, happy attitude that made us all instantly comfortable. As new parents, we were exhausted and not feeling at our personal best (both mentally and physically), but Jenni really put us at ease and made it a stress-free experience. She was obviously knowledgable as a photographer, and she definitely loves what she does!

Jenni did an awesome job taking family photos for us on the beach. She was personable and energetic. She entertained the young children while taking photographs at the same time. The result were fantastic. We had a group of 12 family members and we have lots of great choices to pick from all the photos Jenni took. Even the sky was overcast at the time and there were some very dark clouds lingering around, Jenni managed to get the lighting in the photos perfect. We couldn't have been happier with the experience of working with Jenni.

Jenni came to our Oceanside beach rental on Hatteras Island for family beach portraits. She was on time, organized and you could really tell she has a passion for photography! Jenni arrived fully prepared to work with my family including our small children (ages 6 months, 2, 4 and 7 years). Jenni communicated with us regarding the weather and touched base the day before and the day of the session. She even informed us as she was on her way so we could be ready. We appreciated Jenni being upfront with us regarding editing times and when we could expect our gallery. She explained this was her busy season and she had been traveling a lot for weddings and portraits.

Jenni made us feel relaxed and comfortable during our portraits. She brought classy ocean related props like starfish and conch shells. I'm sure it is hard to capture all of our children's attention at once but Jenni managed to do this effortlessly. She brought noise makers and toys to keep their attention on the camera. She even got down in the sand with our kids to capture prefect shots. By the end of our session the kids were laughing and wanting Jenni to play with them. We could tell she has plenty of experience photographing children. After the beach portraits, Jenni suggested we go to the Sound (where the sun sets on the island) to take some sunset pictures! Once we received our gallery, we were glad she made this recommendation. The photos turned out astonishing. We will definitely use Jenni in the future.

Jenni arrive right on time(a little early) and was well prepared for the task at hand. She brought balloons and shells for my 5 year old granddaughter which helped keep her engaged throughout the walk to the beach and the ceremony. She kept everybody engaged and made very productive use of her time. The pictures offered a wide variety and were very inclusive. We are well pleaased.

I used Photography by Jenni for my engagement and wedding pictures. I had interviewed about 5 photographers in and around the Baltimore MD area to complete the photography for wedding. I saw several portfolios and no photographer came close to impressing me as much as Jenni! Prior to meeting for the interview, Jenni promptly responded to my emails and phone calls. She was very nice on the phone and seemed very excited about capturing my wedding day memories! During our first meeting, Jenni answered my questions and shared beautiful pictures of previous wedding and engagement pictures that she had taken. She was professional and I was extremely impressed!!! I booked her to take both my wedding an engagement pictures the next day.

During our engagement photo session Jenni meet us early on a Sunday morning in Federal Hill to take pictures. She was prompt and professional. She had scouted out the area that we had requested to have our pictures taken the day prior so she knew where she felt the pictures would look the best. Jenni even brought props in order to add a little bit of extra fun to the photos. We were extremely pleased with the artistic quality that was present in each picture.

At our wedding, Jenni was professional, on time, and worked well with all of the members of our wedding party including the young children. Just like with our engagement pictures, our wedding pictures had an artistic quality that was just amazing. Review for family beach portraits:

I used Jenni for my wedding last year and we were so happy and impressed with her services we decided to have her do our family portraits this year. Jenni was the perfect photographer! She was absolutely wonderful and so easy to work with. She drove to Bethany Beach, DE to do our family portraits on the beach. Our fee included the session, photos and travel expenses which was very reasonable.

She was quick to respond to any questions we had and is extremely knowledgeable. Jenni made recommendations regarding clothing color and choices. She was very good about keeping in touch regarding the status of editing the photos.

Our entire family has commented on her professionalism and said they felt like they had known Jenni for years. She was efficient, fun, personable, friendly, extremely creative and made everyone feel comfortable- the process was flawless from initially contacting her, the photo session to the fine portraiture we received! Everyone has commented on how great the photos look.

We had 8 adults and a 1 year old for our session. She showed our 1 year old nephew the attention needed to make him cooperate and was extremely patient during our session. She even brought toys and used her outgoing and fun personality to capture the shots we wanted! She had our nephew focused on her and laughing and smiling in no time! Jenni never made us feel rushed and ensured she captured plenty of pictures we would be happy with.

Jenni had amazing and unique ideas for our beach photos! We all would highly recommend her and plan to use her again in the future.

Jenni is the very best photographer I have ever met and worked with. She is excellent at directing everyone to get the best shots possible. I will be hiring her for my wedding and I will pick a date based on when she is available. I do not consider myself photogenic at all but she is so good that I actually liked the pictures of myself. I decided to use Photography by Jenni after seeing her at my friend Rose's wedding. She was taking photos the whole evening at her wedding, and Rose's photos turned out great. So I booked Jenni for my wedding that was on May 23rd at the Links in Gettysburg. Jenni was always very professional, personable, and quick to respond to any questions I had. The day of the wedding, she did a great job! She took a lot of wonderful pictures and I really enjoyed them! Additionally, she also is very good about keeping in touch as to the status of her editing the photos, etc. I was never left wondering what was going on. She and her assistant did a wonderful job!

Jenni was truly the perfect photographer for me and my now husband! She was professional, and as soon as she arrived she jumped right in and got things rolling. I didn't know exactly what to expect, because I didn't have any photography expectations (or experience) - but she was just SO easy to work with and very very responsive! Me and my fiance are shy, and we were nervous about having weird pictures because of our own awkwardness in pics, but Jenni really made us comfortable and had tons of great ideas for shots, without being invasive and taking time away from our guests. We are excited to get our pictures back, but we know they will be great. Though we had a somewhat low-key and small wedding, I'm confident that she could accomodate anyone in any situation. I would DEFINITELY recommend her to others.

I will try to keep this short and sweet because I want everyone to read it!

I am an event planner for a catering company and have been in the event business for the last 5 years, mostly running weddings. I have worked with many photographers and Jenni is the best I have ever worked with.

We initially booked her for our engagement session at our old elementary school. She brought so many great ideas for photo poses and did a romantic shoot in the rain! Cute umbrellas and all. The pictures turned out adorable and I used several as decor at my wedding.

I also booked her for a private photo shoot as a surprise for my future husband. She was so professional and made me feel extremely comfortable. Those photos also turned out beautiful and tasteful, but very sexy. It was amazing to see them.

Then obviously she was also the photographer for our wedding. Managing a group of excited families is not an easy task. But she is able to move from photo to photo without pause. She is a pro at what she does.

I will continue to use her ANY photo's I need. She has made a huge impression on me and I am already thinking of the next event I can have her photograph.

The first thing which comes to my mind when talking about Jenni is an enthusiast! She loves taking pictures, and her passion for that makes her an amazing photographer. She works very patiently understanding the personal demands of her customers and makes sure the pictures are turned out the way they want. Since, mine was a surprise proposal planned in Baltimore by my fiance who stays in Houston, him and Jenni only had phone conversations about the planning for the day. She was quick at replying to all the correspondence via phone or emails and was always ready to accept new ideas. We contacted Jenni to photograph our wedding which was a high profile wedding. We had numerous guests who were worried about having pictures show up on any form of social media. I have been to a lot of weddings and interviewed a lot of photographers. Never have I met a more wonderful person then Jenni. Jenni met with us before the wedding to go over a few things and found out exactly what we wanted, and then showed up about a half hour earlier then scheduled to set up and look over the venue. Once she started she went non stop clicking all night long. She even took extra care taking care of all the kids and making sure we had good shots of them. She had all the kids laughing and playing, I don't think there was a bad shot in the bunch. Jenni definately made the wedding a much better event and I wish that all vendors were as easy to work with as she was. I would really highly recoimmend Jenni to anyone planning an event. At least talk to her and I bet you will be as much impressed with her as I was.

Jenni did an amazing job with a very challenging subject matter. The Baltimore Grand Prix auto race surely showcased Jenni's ability to shoot various subject matter with challenges, with every shot. The cars were traveling at speeds up to 200 miles per hour. She was able to capture incredible images of the cars and drivers. photography by jenni was a wonderful experience all around. jenni captured many great shots for our special day, helped me, the bride, with other small things (non-photography related). we we use her in the future and i would reccomend her to other brides/grooms for their special day.

Jenni was the only photographer who called me after I sent an email request for information. All of the other photographers responded with an email and a form for me to complete and email back. I felt that Jenni's approach was much more appealing and professional. She made me feel like I was important to her and took the time to learn about our needs and our families. Jenni truly was great to work with and I would recommend her to anyone!

HIGHLY recommend Jenni at Epic Shutter Photography. We hired her for a family photo shoot and she was AMAZING with getting all the small kids engaged. Photo shoot was short and sweet - and the pictures turned out beautiful!

I loved that Jenni was so flexible and could do anything that we wanted. The only thing that was an issue was that her coworker got in the way of some of the important moments to get pictures and our guest could not see it; but we talked to Jenni about that and she said the she had said something to him already but was going to talk to him about it later as well. She was very pleasent to work with I would do it all over again just to work with her. And I contacted her two days before my wedding and she responed that same day to my phone call and worked with me to be able to make it to my event and for us to be able to pay and everything since it was such a last minute thing. Jenni is wonderful.

Photography By: Jenni was very professional throughout the entire process. While it took a little longer than expected to receive the pictures because she had a full summer schedule, she has provided us with a large album of images that we will be able to cherish in the future.
