Thank you for getting me in on such short notice. Your location has a breathtaking view. In addition with all that was offered with the service, this was an excellent venue through and through.

The ESB was a wonderful venue, and very reasonably priced. The view is absolutely beautiful, and there is plenty of space to take pictures outside and with trees. It seemed the vendors had no problem setting up and serving food/alcohol. The staff were also super helpful and made the day of easy- they had at least one person on site throughout the entire rental time. They were very friendly and helpful the day of and set up the tables and chairs, both inside and outside. They also were very quick to answer questions and communicated about any issues that needed to be taken care of before the wedding. Definitely would recommend it.

On top of a spectacular view and backdrop for the ceremony, the building itself is beautiful. There are moments inside as well as outside that provide great pictures either in a cozy nook or against an industrial concrete wall with light casting down from the skylights above. ESB has a private room for getting ready in: equipped with table, chairs, and a large mirror. ESB provides ceremony chairs that are set up to your layout, that do not require you to put away when your are done. The restrooms in the lobby are very nice. All in all, I highly recommend this venue for the exterior and interior views as well as the amenities that are provided.

This was the absolute best place for our wedding. The staff was so helpful and accommodating! On a beautiful summer day, it was lovely to have tables outside and inside, for our guests to comfortably socialize and be able to enjoy the incredible view. It was the most perfect day, and this venue and staff helped to make it so!

I cannot stress enough how wonderful it was to rent the ESB from 9 AM to midnight on my wedding day. Being able to get there early set up decorations and actually have time to eat lunch and get ready and take pictures before the ceremony was amazing, and so easy. The staff that is there to help you through the day, by setting up chairs and making sure everything is going well. They were very professional and very sweet people. I had the most perfect wedding I could ever possibly imagine, and it was in part to being able to have the ceremony outside while having the reception inside and outside. The flow of the space is perfect. Oh by the way it is so cost efficient! Literally the best deal you will ever find with such an amazing view. I cannot stress enough how beautiful it is!

We chose to have our wedding here at the ESB. The view is breathtaking, which is great for pictures. The price is reasonable and the staff are helpful.
We had some discrepancies with the alcohol dept but the manager showed us he cared and handled everything well. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this venue.

We had our daughter's wedding reception at the Environmental Services Building (ESB) overlooking the Puget Sound. We were able to come early in the morning with a helper crew to set up and there was plenty of parking for guests. Since it was a beautiful sunny (but not too hot) day on July 31st, 2016, we had planned for dining inside as well as outside, and our DJ and the Cash Bar attendant were outside under the covered courtyard where we had dancing later. The DJ could easily move inside and out utilizing the sliding glass door which remained open to the lovely view. Guests could mingle, go into the lobby for food, restrooms, and in the dining area as well as outside. There was plenty of room for the bridal party to get dressed in "ladies" and "gentlemen" rooms off of the lobby, prior to heading to the church for the wedding and then back again for the reception. Everything went smoothly and we were so happy to have the event there. It was beautiful, the guests loved it, our daughter loved it, our son-in-law loved it, and we will definitely recommend the ESB!

We had the absolutely best experience having our daughter's wedding and reception at the ESB. The venue was picture perfect. The staff was so nice and helpful. They were completely responsive and present on the day of the actual event. Thank you for making my girl's wedding truly the best day ever!

I do not have one bad thing to say about the environmental services building! I loved my wedding venue.
Tip: Double Check the kitchen he day of the wedding, so you do not run out of dishes.

This venue was awesome! Great view and close to the water. Our wedding was the rainiest day of summer 2015 (August 14). The original plan was to have the reception outside on the lawn but because of the rain it had to be moved inside. They worked with us to set up the chairs for the ceremony how we liked, no questions asked. It was great! We had an amazing wedding day! Thank you again!! The only downside to it was you have to use their bartender and the selection of wines they provide was Merlot and Chardonnay of the bars choosing, I would have liked to choose the wine for the reception.

All an all great venue, lots offer space wise. Love the view! The staff was very helpful from the very beginning from when to be there to book the venue, all the way down to how and were to set up of the cermony. They were also very flexible with my wedding coordinator on the day of making sure everything was perfect!

My fiancé and I spent months looking for the perfect venue for our wedding, but we finally found it in the Environmental Services Building. First, the venue is beautiful. It has a nice lawn that overlooks the Puget Sound - it's an amazing view, and made the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. The courtyard is great for an outdoor reception. One of my favorite parts is the bridge to the side of the building - it's canopied by trees that let the sun filter in, and it made a great setting for some of our wedding photos.

Everyone at the ESB was a pleasure to work with, and they were always helpful every time I had a question. The price was great too, and we were on a tight budget. Considering everything we got - from the beautiful setting to the friendly people and service - it was a wonderful value. All of our guests said it was a great location for our wedding and were impressed by the location.

The Environmental Services Building is a great building with great bathrooms, kitchen, a/v, a team to help set up, flip the space, and clean up, and always readily available with anything you would need.

The price for this venue is also a great deal for what you're getting! I couldn't be happier with our venue, and all our guests loved the location and view as well.

Beautiful location and the building provides flexibility that other wedding venues don't. We had VERY iffy weather for the wedding but with the large banquet room and lobby - and the partially covered patio area, we didn't have a problem. Weather even managed to improve as the evening wore on and everyone thought it was lovely.
Eena and team are very easy to work with and I think this is a superb wedding venue.

The Pierce County Environmental Services building was an absolute joy to work with and have our wedding at! Being on a tight budget, the venue offered all of the amenities that the Chambers Bay Golf Course had, but at a fraction of the cost:) I would hands down say this is the best wedding venue location in the Pierce County area!

The venue at the ESB was amazing! We couldn't of picked a better place to share our special day together. We had family coming from all over the states and wanted them to see why we love the Pacific Northwest and this venue has the most amazing views of the Puget Sound. The building itself is unique and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. Eena was my point of contact for booking the venue and she answered all the questions I had leading up to the day of the wedding. She always answered my emails promptly and was very informative and accommodating. The venue was also very affordable. Thank you Eena and the ESB for making our day amazing!

Eena West at the Environmental Services Building was wonderful to work with for our wedding! The venue was stunning, everyone was in awe of the beautiful sunset that night, and it really couldn't have been a more picturesque scene. Eena is very responsive and professional, and was very patient with my mom and a family friend who stopped by a number of times trying to sort out decorations. I would highly recommend looking at this venue soon - it's a hidden gem that is quickly being discovered. The only concern that you'll want to look into is their alcohol policy. They used to allow you to bring in your own alcohol (and therefore save a bundle), but have now switched over to requiring the Chambers Bay golf course provide this service. Other than that, this venue really is perfect.

Amazing venue to use for a wedding. Breathtaking view of Puget Sound along with top notch service by the staff there. All of the tables and chairs were setup exactly how we wanted them to be prior to arriving and they took care of all of the cleanup. There were no complaints from any of our wedding guests and we highly recommend them for all events, especially a wedding!

Everything was amazing. The facility is beautiful and the staff at the environmental center was exceptional. My only negative was at this pierce county facility you have only choice for alcohol provider this includes having a champagne toast. The provider was very difficult to get a hold of and did not always return calls

The view says it all!! The staff was amazing, we had a question they had or found an answer! Our bartender from Chambers Bay was so awesome!! We had drink tickets for our guest and she did an amazing job keeping it all separated. I would definitely recommend this venue for the memories you will have! !!

This is definitely the place to have your wedding! The view is spectacular, the lawn is perfectly manicured for that outdoor wedding you have always dreamed of and the reception area outstanding for a large crowd! Our event could not have gone off more smoothly, thanks to Eena Wiest, who was so very helpful with the planning of this wedding. Not only did she help with the layout of the wedding and reception, her expertise with ideas for the event made it extra special! On wedding day, the staff on site could not have been more helpful. Each one personally introduced themselves and were quick to respond when help was needed. They even set up all the tables and chairs!! The venue itself is wonderful, with plenty of room for guest tables and the dance area. A special feature in the reception room is a retractable wall/window which opens up the reception area to the covered patio. We had several guest tables out on the patio and the guests sitting there were able to be engaged with the people sitting inside! Again, a special THANK YOU to Eena and the staff for making our event so very wonderful!! We could not recommend this venue more highly!

Working with Eena was a dream! She stepped in to deal directly with our caterer when he had some questions on what was needed. She also had some great ideas for the reception and set up for the wedding. The onsite staff on the day of the wedding were also very helpful. Making a last minute decision for where the ceremony would be meant they couldn't set up chairs until we got there but the gals were awesome and helped tremendously!!

We had our wedding in July 2012 at the Environmental Services Building. We could not have picked a better place for our venue. The staff was incredibly helpful, even helping to rearrange our table bouquets that contained the wrong colored flowers. It was such a relaxing day having everything in one place. The view is amazing and everyone who attended still raves about how beautiful our wedding was.

We booked the venue one year before the wedding. We would call or drop in with questions and the staff was always helpful and professional and offered helpful suggestions based on previous events. The day of the event went very smooth. The staff on site were friendly and helpful and there when you needed them. We would highly recommend this facility to anyone.

We had to move our event inside two dsys before it happened and the staff was wonderful about our ever-changing plans. The venue itself has lots of ways to set up.

I had my wedding reception at the Environmental Services Building two weeks ago and I can't be happier about my experience working with Eena and the rest of the staff.

Eena was always very prompt and responsive whenever I had questions, and I had a million of them!

Our guests raved about the venue and had a great time. Two thumbs up!

This venue has the perfect view of the Puget Sound ( rain or shine). Eena was extremely helpful in all aspects of planning and coordinating our wedding ceremony and reception. At some point we considered changing our venue rental time to save cost but the rental package we decided on was perfect for a DIY set-up and early evening wedding. Remember that when choosing to provide your own bar services( bartender, business owner to provide beverages) and to save cost by not going through your caterer, have the insurance liability conversation early on during planning to avoid last-minute fees. Also, the ESB provides you with a list of approved caterers to guide you along. Great Venue, Great Service, Great Value. I'd surely recommend this venue to anyone who likes flexibility, cost-efficiency, and a priceless view of the Sound.

Very flexible, modern space with great views and a wonderful staff. I rented it and they essentially let me do whatever I wanted. VERY MUCH SO worth the money.

The Pierce County Enviornmental Services building is the perfect setting and location for a wedding ceremony and reception to occur in the same building. The room can very comfortable accomodate 100 -120 guests. The facility has a large lobby ideal for catering set up to occur away from the wedding ceremony. They have a small portable bar that can be used for service. The kitchen is compact but extremely modern. Kitchen facilities include plates, silverware, cups, pitchers, coffee service, freezer, fridge, coffee mugs, and makes it extremely efficent in terms of using the building for both wedding and reception. Parking is great, the view is tremendous, and it is possible to stage your wedding outside. For the value of the venue, this is the best location in Pierce County.

Eena was great to work with! She was easy to work with, very responsive, and helpful in accommodating to my needs. Make sure you book as early as possible as this venue is becoming more and more popular!

My husband and I had our wedding at the ESB; It turned out to be an amazing location! Everyone loved the venue because of its peaceful and tranquil view. We had the ceremony on the lawn overlooking the water, transitioned to the lobby for cocktail hour and then moved into the great rooms for dinner. Everything flowed well and the ESB staff moved chairs around seamlessly. All the staff at ESB were really responsive to questions and so easy to work with. They made every request we had happen. I am so happy we chose the ESB for our wedding ceremony and reception!

I found Eena to be extremely helpful and flexible. She also gave us some appreciated tips on decorations, room arrangement, and helped calm our nerves!
The venue itself was clean and beautiful. The only problem we saw was that the outside patio/dance floor was heavily stained. The staff at the venue did wash it down for us but many of the stains remained and it did look a bit tacky. I would recommend a power wash to keep the patio up to the standard with the rest of the venue.

We worked with Eena and she was a pleasure to work with as were the staff the day of our wedding. We didn't have any issues and only the only potential hiccup was a policy change that staff were happy to grandfather us in to avoid the change. The venue was beautiful with amazing views of the Puget Sound and the staff great to work with.

Could not have imagined a better setting and venue for our wedding. Everyone was very helpful organizing the details.

We were not told some of the chairs have arm rests so I purchased enought covers and sashes for all of the chairs only to find out the day of the wedding that about 40 couldn't be used. Also, the cabinets in the kitchen were locked so mid reception we had to find someone to unlock them. Otherwise, the staff was really nice and responded to questions promptly. They even helped break down the tables and chairs at the end of the evening. The venue was beautiful and very reasonably priced!

I loved this venue- great place for an outdoor wedding with an absolutely gorgeous surrounding. The staff was very easy to work with leading up to the wedding. They were great in implementing my plan for floor layout and availability of the building when needed. Also, were available to answer my questions in the months leading up to the wedding. The only downside to this venue was that you had to use the chamber's bay grill bartending services. The coordinator there had been great and helpful leading up to the wedding but when it finally came down to the wedding night they did not have champagne available as planned and were not eager to compensate me for their mistake in any way.

The building offers an amazingly unbelievable and beautiful view of the Puget Sound. We rented the whole facility on a Saturday from 9-midnight and paid just $2,300 plus the refundable $500. The staff let me and my maid of honor test out some centerpieces one day without charging us and were quick to answer any questions-- no matter how odd they were. The staff was extremely flexible. They let us hang paper lanterns from the indoor lighting and allowed us to increase the number of hours we wanted to rent the facility after already putting down our down payment. The staff was friendly and professional and was present but didn't meddle on the wedding day. We held our ceremony outside on a day that had hourly weather changes (rain, crazy wind, thunder, lightning, etc.). We really didn't want to hold the ceremony inside and the weather report predicted the rain and clouds would clear by 5, just in time for our 6 pm wedding. The staff was kind enough to allow us up to 3pm the day of the wedding to decide whether they would set up the chairs outside or inside the public service room. They even wiped the chairs down after the last rain right before our ceremony. We enjoyed the small touches of industrial inspired building design mixed with the romantic view and private setting of the walking bridge and the opportunities for our guests to escape the chaos of the wedding and educate themselves on the purpose of the ESB. The venue also offered easy access to Chambers Bay Regional Park, where we were able to take lots of photos with a huge variety of background settings. Our only complaint is that the rental came with access to the venue's audio and visual system. The groom was in charge of deciding whether we'd have the ceremony inside or outside. He forgot to request the wireless microphone and the staff overlooked it as well so, due to high winds (somewhat common at the location), many guests couldn't hear our vows and the ceremony.

The venue was incredibly beautiful. And a great price. I would recommend this place to any bride looking for an afforadable, but beautiful setting with diverse terrain for photos. And you can use your own cater which is always a plus. The employees were great to work with as well. I had a wonderful experience.

This is a beautiful venue and was wonderful for our wedding. We have had a number of guests comment on how beautiful it was.

This was a phenomenal venue for our daughters wedding. The staff at ESB was great to work with and did a great job helping us with good solutions and gave tips and pointers to help keep costs down as it related to the venue. Although it was out of the control of the staff at ESB it was pretty disappointing that the county has made it a requirement that you must use the Chambers Bay Grill for bar service. The ESB is a beautiful option for those who are priced out of the event facilities at Chambers Bay. Too bad that county had to be greedy and require you use their bar service. Keeps the budget minded weddings just a bit more pinched.

Pros: GREAT venue. Good price. Beautiful location. Inside is spacious, clean, well-lit, modern. Has a kitchen. Allows outside catering company (but they need food permit/license for catering). Has AV equipment available.

Cons: Alcohol service is restricted to only Chambers Bay Grill Bartending.

The views at this venue are amazing! We had our ceremony and reception all outside on the lawn and it was beautiful the pictures that we have seen so far are amazing. Eena was great working with but unfortunately was on vacation the day of our wedding. With renting the chairs we thought we paid to have them moved but there was only one person moving them so my guests had to help, which is ok but I didn't want them to have to do anything. I paid for coffee and it was kept in the corner inside the building where not many people knew it was available, I wish it would have been placed outside where everything else was set up. Make sure that you get the number of the contact person for after hours, they were suppose to be close by but we couldn't ever find them. But overall the beauty of the venue is worth every dollar you spend!!

We enjoyed our experience. The setting is beautiful and the Environmental Services Building has all the amenities that a bride could wish for. Our only complaint, its a huge one, is having to use Chambers Bay as our bartender. If we did not know and work with them on a continual basis our bar bill would have been twice the price of the space. I feel this will hinder other couples in the future.
