Greg was amazing to work with. We loved getting to know him through our wedding planning process. He is super personable, professional, and fun. From our very first conversation, Greg set himself apart with a thoughtful, client-centered approach. He provides each couple with a thoughtfully designed workbook and then takes the time to review it together in detail, ensuring every preference, priority, and meaningful moment is truly understood. Greg made our wedding the best event we could have imagined! We had several specific production needs that were easily met. His pre wedding communications were beyond thorough, and he made sure he was prepared for any contingency.

Legendary DJ Greg

I have nothing but great things to say about Greg from Entertainment Concepts. Greg was recommended by our venue, The Grove at Briar Barn, and he helped us create the perfect wedding day. The event went so smoothly and everything flowed together perfectly with no slow moments. Our dance floor was packed all night! He was able to read the crowd and play the perfect music for the mood. He also played all of the songs on our “must play” list while avoiding the songs we did not want. His feedback and guidance during the planning process made a world of difference and allowed us to have a stress free wedding day.

We truly could not recommend Greg enough! From our first call to the end of the wedding, Greg went above and beyond. He helped us with planning the little details, gave incredible and accurate advice, and was incredibly helpful to us and our wedding party during the event. Multiple guests went out of their way to tell us Greg was the best DJ they have seen at a wedding. Greg genuinely cared so much about us and our event and it is so evident he loves his job. He even sent us a bunch of photos that night that he took throughout the event so we wouldn’t have to wait weeks for our photographers photos. The Perfect Wedding DJ

We had the most incredible time with Greg as our DJ! He came highly recommended as Lord Thompson Manor's preferred DJ, and after our wedding and planning process, we completely understand why.

Greg is beyond thoughtful, detail-oriented, and an expert at what he does. Our wedding planner commented after our planning call that she has never witnessed a DJ spend as much time, attention, and care as Greg to ensure our wedding day was perfect.

Greg is also amazing because he balances listening to your wishes with his decades of expertise in the industry. We gave Greg a list of 100+ songs to choose from for the dancefloor, and while Greg picked which songs to play at what times, he also recommended additional music when transitioning out of cocktail hour and into dinner. All in all, Greg was everything we could've asked for to ensure our guests were dancing, making conversation, and having an all-around great time. We also had a handful of guests come to us to comment on our fantastic DJ!

We love Greg!

Greg did such a great job making our wedding night so special. He kept the dance floor full, and incorporated music we liked throughout the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. For us, the most important thing was the countless hours of preparation he put in before the wedding. In the days leading up, music was the one thing we had no worries about because we felt like we were 100% of the same page. The introductions and first dance especially were thoroughly prepared and everything went off without a hitch!

I cannot recommend Greg enough. He was our wedding DJ this year, but he is so much more than that. He walked us through the entire day, suggesting adjustments to make our schedule easier. The Perfect DJ

We loved working with Greg! Hiring him was one of the best and easiest decisions we made. We were blown away by his care and professionalism throughout the planning process and on the day itself. During our planning phone calls, he helped us form an idea of how we wanted our wedding to flow and really got us excited for the big day. Highly recommend!

We had such a good experience working with Greg for our wedding! He was recommended to us by our venue and it was great having someone to work with who was familiar with the venue. From our first phone call we could tell that he is very knowledgeable and experienced at what he does. Throughout the planning meeting and email communications he was able to put me at ease about the flow of the wedding and also accommodate some of our less traditional requests, like having a personal friend play live music during the ceremony and fitting the whole processional into one song. He read the room and set the vibe so perfectly throughout the whole wedding. His music/song choices were spot on and everyone there had a blast. I'm not usually one for dancing and was mentally prepared to force myself onto the dance floor, but by the time the meal was wrapping up I found myself actually itching to get the party started because Greg had been slowly amping up the energy through the mealtime music. He basically works magic. We had a generally older crowd, many of our guests were Asian and spoke English as a second language, plus our wedding was a daytime/brunch event -- and still the dance floor was packed from the moment it opened until the last song played. I even danced half a song with my grandma, who I definitely did not expect to see on the dance floor! He works magic, I'm telling you. I can't believe I originally was on the fence about hiring a DJ/emcee. I am now convinced that working with Greg was a huge part of why our wedding went as smoothly as it did. I cannot recommend him enough!

Top-notch professional with great communication!

We LOVED working with Greg! He was exceptionally thoughtful, considerate, and played great music all night long. Our conversations throughout the planning process really put us at ease, especially as a couple with different levels of liking-to-dance. Greg struck a great balance between making sure the dance floor was lively while also creating space and time for people to connect and talk with each other throughout the night, and checked in with us throughout the event to make sure things were going according to plan. Greg also gave great, venue-specific advice, like how to deal with wind at our outdoor ceremony site, plus organized adding up lights to our event space for a very reasonable price. He is a consummate professional who knows his stuff, and took us along every step of the way. He even emailed us photos he took during the event so we had something to look at right away. Amazing DJ!

Greg was recommended to us by our wedding venue and did an absolutely incredible job! We had many meetings leading up to the wedding to ensure he had everything ready for the big day. He asks for you to send not only 'must play' and 'do not play' songs for the reception but also takes your input for songs during dinner as well. He is amazing at understanding what your overall 'vibe' is. The music was the perfect match for what we were looking for and he was great at providing enough variety for all of our guests to enjoy the dance floor. He even snapped some pictures on his phone that he shared with us afterwards. 10/10!

Greg was fantastic and attentive!

Greg was absolutely fantastic! I cannot say enough great things about him! We had Greg officiate and DJ our wedding and everything went perfectly! He played great music that elevated the mood, livened up the crowd, and was so fitting for us as a couple and to our guests. He was so attentive to everything that was happening, he allowed me to not have to think about anything and to just go with the flow and enjoy the night! Which is exactly what you want for your wedding! Even officiating, he was great! The speech for the ceremony he drafted was perfect and he had a microphone that was hidden but allowed for everyone to hear the ceremony. He thought of everything and anything and it made the night flow perfectly and for us to relax and have fun! Even working with him up to the day, he was great! He set up multiple phone calls for us to go over everything and he was so detail oriented, nothing was over looked. He would email back right away and was so understanding to any changes that we had. The entire experience was enjoyable and even our guests raved out how great he was! It was a spectacular night and we have Greg to thank for that.

Five Stars Isn't Enough - Go with DJ Greg!!!

Where do we begin with just how amazing Greg is to work with?! We just had our wedding in August and to say Greg was absolutely wonderful as our DJ and MC for the night feels like it undersells everything he brings to the table. Throughout the entire pre-wedding process, Greg truly took the time to listen to our ideas and thoughts on music selection and the general schedule, among many other things, while also using his years of experience to offer very helpful tips to make the day run as smoothly and stress-free as possible. He was also incredibly thorough and organized with his notes and itinerary for the big day, which put us at ease and made it clear he was on top of everything. And of course, his musical selections throughout cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing were all perfectly on point and exactly what we (and our guests) were looking for. More than anything, what we strongly suspect you will see in Greg if you are fortunate enough to work with him is that he cares immensely about the work he is doing and the couples he is working with. He truly wants you to have the best day of your life and he is happy to do whatever is needed to make it happen, whether that means coordinating with different vendors to make sure they are all on the same page, or helping set up the venue, or even gently reminding the couple that it may or may not be time to cut the cake! He is kind, professional, thoughtful, funny, organized, all the positive adjectives you can think of. Amazing DJ for our wedding!

We held our wedding in June and Greg was an amazing DJ. Everyone was raving about the music choices and had so much fun dancing the night away. We had the absolute perfect wedding (at least in our opinion).

Hire Greg!

The most common compliment we received about our wedding about how fun the dance floor was and we owe it all to Greg. We knew we were in excellent hands about five minutes into our first phone call. Greg is incredibly good at what he does and extremely thorough. We requested a different entrance song for each bridal party pair and Greg made it happen effortlessly. We also had a last minute first dance song change the night before our wedding and Greg was able to make that change for us. It meant so much. Our planning phone calls were fun and thorough. He gave valuable advice to our officiant and honest feedback about our plans and questions. Our music was so important to us and Greg made our day with how amazing everything sounded. The Best DJ!!!!

Greg was an integral part of making our wedding dreams come true!! From the start we knew we were in the best hands. Greg was kind, enthusiastic, organized, and very good at his job. He is detailed and thorough, speaking with us about our timeline, talking through music selection, and giving us advice from his own experiences. When we got to our special day, we had no question Greg would make sure it was perfect-- and it was! We had so many compliments on the music selection and we danced all night! The best dj

I wish I could express in words how great of a job Greg did at my wedding but there aren’t enough words! He was unbelievable. From the moment we met with him, he was thorough and patient with us - he truly wanted to make our day special. We had meetings to discuss every single minute of the day and how he would be involved in it. Greg was extremely detailed and for a perfectionist like me, I appreciated it immensely! I trusted Greg fully to make our day a big party! People were on the dance floor the whole night and kept asking for more songs - they didn’t want the night to end. Greg did exactly what we asked for and orchestrated the whole night perfectly. The show could not have gone on without him. It was important to me to find someone who cared about my husband and I, someone who wanted to know every detail about our day so that if needed, he knew what to do. Greg did an amazing job servicing our wedding, and we are incredibly grateful for all of his hard work and dedication. He is truly a master of his craft, and he made our wedding day the most magical day. He helped us fine tune our music, pull a few great jokes, and really delivered who we are through our music tastes. Our dance floor was packed thanks to Greg. We had such an amazing night, and I highly recommend him for anyone considering him for wedding work. He is absolutely outstanding at what he does, a true diamond in a sea of precious gems. Best Wedding DJ We Could Have Asked For!

Greg is an absolute dream to work and collaborate with! His kindness and passion shows through and working with him was a total pleasure from start to finish. We had several lengthy planning calls which were extremely helpful to crafting the perfect wedding reception. He is extremely professional and was there to support us, be our wedding therapist, and even make sure we ate during the cocktail hour. Amazing DJ Company

Entertainment Concepts were hired for weddings I attended in 2016 and 2019 and they did a fantastic job. I knew I had to reach out to see if they could do our wedding and they delivered. Chip was professional and easy to work with. He coordinated quickly with my ceremony musician when there were technical difficulties. For the reception, we danced all night. Chip commanded the dance floor! He listened to our requests and played a mix of music for our guests of all ages. I recommended them to a friend and they were hired to DJ their wedding in June. Looking forward to another great wedding.

Can't Speak Highly Enough

Greg came recommended to my now husband and I by the day-of coordinator at our wedding venue. I cannot speak highly enough of Greg and the work that he did. He was very responsive to any questions and highly-supportive throughout the day. The musical selections he picked for the dinner portion during the reception were perfect and his mixing of the playlist I had created for the dancing portion was simply amazing. 5 out of 5 stars all the say, highly recommend.

An incredible night complimented by all!

Greg came recommended to us by Brian Clague who headed up our string quartet. As Brian is a family friend, we took his suggestion to reach out to Greg to act as DJ and we have never been more grateful to have taken someone’s advice. My husband and I have been together for over 12 years, and so the biggest factor of our day, with having all of our friends from each moment of our lives together under one roof, was to throw a great party and ensure a fun evening for everyone, young to old. Greg was so incredibly thorough, ensuring a contingency plan in the off chance anyone involved in our wedding (planner, officiant, quartet) were unable to arrive on the day. We never felt rushed or like we were asking silly questions, and Greg was always so responsive. He shepherded the reception through seamlessly, ensuring guests’ attention was directed to the right place at the right time, and he played the perfect mix of music. Greg also put together a compilation of songs for me and my father dance to dance to that are of personal significance to us (homemade poor quality recordings of my mom and uncle singing) and it sounded incredible - not a dry eye in the room! So many of our guests came up to us to tell us that ours was one of the best weddings they’d ever attended, and that it was one of the best parties. That is in large part thanks to Greg, and his thoughtful approach to the vibe we were going for, as well as cadence and flow to make sure there was something for everyone. There aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are to Greg, he truly made our night a huge success. PS don’t be afraid to ask for some out there songs - they may be the best of the night!

Perfection start to finish

We interviewed a few DJs, but Gregory stood head and shoulders above the rest. He was knowledgeable, detail oriented, and had backup plans for his backup plans! Our wedding was mostly an older crowd, so we wanted a DJ who could play good music, be an MC, but not be over the top and man did Gregory deliver. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, he put together a comprehensive timeline, and on the day of the wedding was attentive without being obsequious. he made sure we had everything we needed, and checked in to make sure we were happy with the volume and music selection. Our guests raved about his music choices. We also really appreciated his transparency on pricing and payments (no Deposit because “trust goes both ways” — this was great, especially as we were hiring vendors almost 2 years before the wedding and in the immediate aftermath of COVID).
Honestly, hiring Gregory was one of the best choices we made — don’t even hesitate! He even took some candid photos which he sent us so we’d have some nice shots while waiting on our professional photos.

Greg did an incredible job - highly recommend!

We met with Greg at the recommendation of our wedding planner and immediately knew we wanted to hire him. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about what was needed in planning our wedding, and not only did the standard DJ duties but also gave really helpful tips as someone who attends many weddings, and was a huge help during the event itself.

Working with him throughout the planning stages was easy and fun, and we always knew what was going on due to him sharing detailed notes and plans with us.

After the wedding, my parents said "the music really flowed, and the intro music when the bride and groom walked in hit the venue's theme perfectly. There was always a sense of engagement and action." Greg and the team worked seamlessly together and he was always ready to help when you needed him at the event! My brother said "There was never a moment in the music where a song came on and I was like 'eh I don't like this one, I'm going to step out'" - our guests had a blast and were raving about how fun the wedding was, and Greg was a huge part of that.

My husband and I would highly recommend hiring Greg for your event and would gladly work with him again!

Just Choose Greg - Don’t Bother Looking for Anyone Else!

3 years went by between us originally speaking to Greg and our eventual wedding due to covid postponements. While for most categories of vendors we had interviews with many, in the case of Greg we were so blown away by his attention to detail, interest in learning about us. the quality of questions he asked us and his overall experience & professionalism that we’d decided to work him before we even finished the introductory call! In the run up to the event, Greg helped meticulously and perfectly plan the entire schedule and song selection and we had 100% confidence in him at all times. Even with this, Greg still managed to greatly exceed all expectations on the day itself! As a groom who hates dancing, I never could have imagined spending 30 mins on a dance floor let alone the entire 2.5 hours. The latter is what happened! Thanks to Greg, the dance floor was full for every single minute of the wedding without exception or exaggeration. We and our guests had never seen anything like it, with many of our guests saying he was the best they’d seen at any wedding on both the music selection and the microphone with his announcements throughout the event. Greg took our general guidance on the type of songs we’d like to have played, and perfectly read the room throughout the night to vary the pace and genre to miraculously please everyone of all tastes and ages. Greg also coordinated with our harpist to ensure everything electrical was in place. Overall, he truly made it the best, and most importantly, most fun day of our lives and no one need look any further than Greg for their wedding.

Greg exceeded our expectations as the DJ for our wedding! He spends a lot of time with you to get to know you and your musical needs for both the ceremony and reception. Greg helped me figure out my ceremony music, which I was stuck on, and it turned out amazing!! I also didn’t think I would have many people on the dance floor - but he read the crowd perfectly and had everyone on the dance floor! And he got pictures of the ceremony, first dances, and everyone on the dance floor and sent them to me! (See below)
He was very professional and so easy to work with and talk to - and we had the perfect wedding! Would hands down hire him again for an event, and would recommend others do as well! You won’t be disappointed!

Best DJ to have! Greg is fantastic!

Greg exceeded all our expectations as a DJ! He really took the time to meet with us, get to know our venue and understand our musical needs, and made sure to go prep with us so thoroughly from the ceremony to the reception. Every song was time and played exactly right on our wedding day. We were very particular with our music and gave Greg a large list of songs to play and Greg understood our taste and what genres to play, and kept the flow going perfectly through the night. He really knew how to read the room, understand the vibe and atmosphere as the night went on , and the music really reflected that. He also made sure to check in with us to see how everything was going and we were so happy there was nothing to change. Greg was absolutely amazing!! We first booked him pre-covid, because he came highly recommended from our venue. We unfortunately had to cancel because of Covid. However, we were lucky to be able reschedule our wedding and even luckier to find out he was available and willing to come all the way to us at our new venue! My husband and I didn’t even know where to start with what type of music to pick, but Greg talked with us, went through the whole evening, and gave great suggestions and starting points on picking music for pre-ceremony, ceremony cocktail hour etc. He also wrote up a scheduled of the day from start to finish, which as a bride was SO SO helpful. Greg also took great candid shots through out the night, which was so nice to be able to see your wedding day after! He came to check on us throughout the night to make sure we were good and stayed on schedule. And our guests were literally dancing all night long!

The best!!!

Greg was amazing, from start to finish he was up front, concise and kind. His entire ethos revolves around my wife and I and he helped organize everything so we had our schedule down pat. It really REALLY helped with our 12 person wedding party, which was like wrangling cats. He worked with us on the music and LET ME TELL YOU he was so helpful and when we allowed him to do his thing, he just absolutely nailed it. We had our wedding at Hammond Castle and not only was he well acquainted, but even during a power outage from a nor’easter storm, he was prepared with a backup generator. He is seriously dedicated and incredible to talk to. He makes you feel like a million bucks and the most important people in the world.

Best DJ North of Boston!

Greg at Entertainment Concepts was hands down the perfect DJ at my wedding. We got married at the Briar Barn on 9/24/2021 and Greg was our DJ for the ceremony and reception. The time he spent before the wedding getting to know me and my husband did not go unnoticed. He spent time going through all my song requests and running through the whole wedding day with me so that I knew exactly how everything would unfold. He did such a good job reading the crowd and playing songs that kept people dancing all night. From the moment the dance floor open to the end of the wedding, people were dancing their butts off, which is exactly what I wanted! Greg is such a friendly, helpful guy and I was so lucky to have him at the wedding. He kept checking in with me to see if I needed a drink, food, anything. I couldn't have been happier to have him on my team on my wedding day. He is HIGHLY recommended.

Greg is amazing! Like other reviews have said, he truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day incredibly effortless and fun. He took the time to have in-depth conversations with us pre-wedding to go over every minute detail, and helped to bring up a bunch of new ideas/thoughts I never would have considered without him. On the wedding day, everything flowed SO smoothly, and we truly felt like Greg was looking out for us the entire night (making sure we had time to eat, etc) so that my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing. The music selection was perfect for both the dinner and dancing afterwards, and everyone had an absolute blast. He is also just incredibly kind, personable, and thoughtful. We loved working with Greg!

Greg worked closely with us over the last two years (as our first wedding was canceled from COVID) and prior to our big day took 2.5 hours with us on the phone to review every detail, ensuring that things all went smoothly without a hitch. Our wedding combined cultures of American Irish and Armenian. Greg took care to ensure correct pronunciations of names, built his music library with traditional armenian songs and merged American Irish with Armenian flawlessly. Best Wedding DJ!

We used Greg with Entertainment Concepts as our DJ for our wedding in September 2019. On our wedding day, Greg did a fantastic job! Plus, he was easy to work with and leading up to the wedding took the time to answer all my questions over the phone and from many emails. Greg did a great job including all our song choices into our wedding night and also helped us decide between songs we were stuck on. He also took the time to meet with us about a month before to go over details and make a timeline. His attention to detail and professionalism was so appreciated! He really heard our requests and gave us valuable feedback ensuring a smooth wedding timeline and flow of the music. He also hooked us up with a deal on uplighting which looked fantastic at our wedding venue. On our wedding day, Greg helped us smooth over any bumps we encountered. For one, we ended our first dance routine earlier than the song, so he faded it out, so it seemed planned. Later into the reception, some of our families were starting to get tuckered out early. We had a fun sendoff planned and I started panicking they would miss the send-off. Greg the DJ was able to read the crowd and recognize what was happening. He adapted to the situation, seamlessly announced the last dance and reigned everyone back in. So, while the overall party ended a little earlier than planned, we got to have the magical last dance and sendoff we imagined thanks to the DJ for saving the moment. I would definitely recommend this vendor!

Great DJ who really read the room!!

Greg did a wonderful job keeping people on the dance floor at our wedding! Something I loved is that he mentioned during a phone call a couple of weeks before the big day that he would play some music during dinner and try to get a read on the guests' reactions in terms of what they would like to dance to. We had a few requests, but otherwise, he did a great job playing a mix of new and old music. I'm pretty sure I danced the entire night :) It was a dream of a day and I'm so thankful to Greg and everyone else who worked hard to make it that way for us. I highly recommend Greg and Entertainment Concepts to anyone planning a wedding or another big celebration!

Greg is the best!!!

Greg is hands down the greatest DJ out there. I hate to use the word DJ because he is so much more than that. Greg goes above and beyond and made our night for our wedding! We met in advance of the wedding to go through logistics of things like: introductions, must plays, don’t plays. When the night came, Greg took care of any of our worries- letting us know when salads arrived, then our meal (because we were making rounds saying hi to people), then when dinner arrived. When the donuts were out (in place of cake for us), Greg hand delivered one to us. On top of all of that, he kept our guests dancing all night long. Everyone was complimenting how great he was all night and we couldn’t agree with them more. Greg is simply the best and made our wedding. You’ll be happy you use him too!!!

Excellent Experience

Greg was the DJ for our wedding in August. When I spoke with him for the first time, I realized he would be way more than a DJ for us. At our planning meeting, he eased my husband and my nerves by going through every detail of the event from the setup to the breakdown. He set up the sound at our ceremony so that guests could hear our officiant, readers, and musician. Throughout the entire evening, he made sure that everything ran smoothly, checked in on us frequently to make sure we were happy, and even fixed a lighting issue that came up at the venue for me! It was so nice to be able to trust Greg with capturing who we are as a couple through music. He did a great job balancing the music on the dance floor to please guests of all ages and we had a fabulous time because of that.

Exceptional Professional and Personally!

After our first phone call with Greg we knew he was going to be absolutely amazing to work with. During and after the wedding we realized it couldn't be more true.

Greg went above and beyond the call of duty for us throughout the entire planning process and on our wedding day.

We were referred to Greg by the Sales Manager at our wedding venue and booking Greg was seriously one of the best decisions we made.

Greg is extremely communicative and responsive and made time to schedule numerous calls and Skype calls since we were planning our Newport, RI wedding from NYC.

Greg was a part of every detail and I felt so safe knowing he would be at our wedding - he could even marry us if something went wrong. He is an event magician and even helped us with details outside of music - he is such a professional and put our minds at ease in every way.

The music at our wedding was unbelievable - Greg knows what he is doing and how to read a room. No one would get off of the dance floor. Our 200 guests are still raving about the music - we couldn't have hoped for anything better.

I could go on and on about Greg's attention to detail and how he helped us during the planning process and on our special day but it would be too long and no one would read this. :)

Fantastic DJ and exceptional human being

Greg kept the teenagers and the grandmas dancing constantly from the first song until the end of the last one. Even more importantly, he was exceptionally proactive in helping us plan all elements of the day so that our wedding came off like clockwork. Greg’s “beyond the call of duty” professionalism was apparent from the first moments that we spoke to him on the phone while interviewing potential DJs. In another life, he would have been an incredible wedding organizer! Greg was present and collaborative throughout the planning process, checking to make sure the details were in place, anticipating potential hiccups, and planning contingencies to eliminate them. He worked seamlessly with the other vendors and was available to unobtrusively offer solutions to any potential problems. Together we discussed the flow of the day in detail to make sure Greg understood where he and all of the participants were to be at all times. He guided us through song choices for our dances and selected a playlist that matched our tastes and created the right energy for our family and guests. His music knowledge, equipment and mixing skills are top notch. All this came together for an exceptionally fun, worry-free night that we and our guests will remember forever. Thank you Greg!

Incredibly Professional!

The day after our wedding, my sister in law said, "You may have stolen the title of 'Most Fun Wedding' from us." We were so happy to hear that and have Greg Gates to thank! Outstanding work; definite recommendation

We chose Greg to DJ/MC our wedding based on reviews we saw online. He did an amazing job - our guests had a ton of fun and we received nothing but compliments about the music throughout the reception. We'd absolutely recommend him!

Greg was extremely thorough and conscientious, meeting with us over the phone multiple times before the big day to make sure that he knew everything from our tastes and desires to how to pronounce everyone's names. When we arrived at our reception for our final setup, Greg was already there doing his sound checks. He immediately came over to introduce himself and make sure we were all on the same page for the party. That preparedness really put us at ease. During the reception itself, Greg was great at reading the room and guiding the energy of the party - he ramped the music up and down at the right times, transitioned between songs to match what was going on, and generally hit all the right notes (no pun intended). The dance floor stayed full until the end of the night.

We and our guests had a fantastic time at our wedding, and Greg was a big part of that. A definite recommendation for anyone looking for professional music services for their event.

Meeting our every need

Greg was extremely professional but also delivered well-balanced and unique song picks for our wedding of 150+ people. We worked with him by phone and shared music selections with him. He then went on to craft an amazing playlist for cocktails to dinner and finally the dancing. We were so glad we picked Greg since it all went seamlessly. He is extremely knowledgeable about how to craft a wonderful evening. He did not drink when he was working and was fully present for the whole time. He was very helpful even before the start of the event by checking in with the caterers and talking to the venue host. I would definitely hire Greg for my next event. He is price competitive too!

UNBELIEVABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Greg took care of our every need. The wedding couldn’t have gone any better and A huge reason why it was so amazing was because of the sound! Greg went above and beyond to ensure 100% customer satisfaction!!! I am beyond grateful that he was able to share in our day because he truly cared about us and making sure we felt special! I would recommend Greg’s service 100 times over. Everything was perfect during the ceremony and reception. He is very organized and helped the groomsmen and bridesmaids know where they had to go during the opening of the reception. Simply put, Greg is the best. We WILL use him again!

There is a reason Greg has such great reviews; he is simply the best DJ. We used Greg's services for our daughter's wedding and reception. Because this is the first wedding in the family in over 30 years, we were a bit lost when planning music for the different stages of the wedding. First, Greg met with us personally and sent a sheet which we found to be greatly helpful in starting the organization of our vision. Then, closer to the actual date, he had a two hour phone call with my daughter to double-check her final plan. Greg had many creative musical suggestions but was also very willing to work with anything my daughter wanted to try. He seamlessly blended the many dissimilar genres of music she wanted to use throughout the evening and by the time it was all over, every guest we had lauded the celebration as the best wedding they'd ever been to! Our primary goal was to get the marriage done, but after that, we just wanted to have fun - and Greg made that happen! I cannot stress enough how pleased we are with him and his services and look forward to using him again for our next celebration!

Outstanding DJ, Highly Recommended

Greg DJ'd our daughter's wedding reception. He had a great pre-call with the couple to discuss the options and specific music requests so that there were no surprises. At the event itself Greg led the music, speeches, and other events so that it went flawlessly. The equipment functioned flawlessly, sound levels were perfect, and the event was timed right on the button. He coordinated with the photographer so that there were no conflicts. As a final plus, he offered to help carry out the remaining decor items after he had packed up his things. Greg did a terrific job and I would highly recommend him for any event!

Wouldn't have changed a thing

My wife, Whitney, and I hired Greg to do the music for our wedding after he was recommended to us by the coordinators at our venue (Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA). We’re both extremely glad we decided to take their advice and go with him because we wouldn’t have changed a thing about the music that was played or Greg as a person to work with. He really took the time to understand our unique musical tastes and to find out what kind of moods, genres, and even specific songs we would want (and not want) to hear for each individual part of the ceremony and reception (eg. as Whitney walked down the aisle, as the wedding party entered the reception, during cocktail hour + dinner, etc.). He never tried to control the process and was welcoming and enthusiastic about whatever decisions that we made. Throughout all of our conversations beforehand, he stressed the importance of our wedding being about us, not him. All I can say is that he lived up to that philosophy and that our wedding was a great reflection of who we are as people and as a couple.

After the wedding was over, several people specifically mentioned what a “great DJ” we had and how much they enjoyed the music. Our wedding guests were of an extremely wide-ranging age group, so it was impressive that Greg was somehow able to seamlessly navigate through different eras and genres of music to create a great atmosphere for everyone as a whole. That’s probably attributable to his years of experience, but he seems to have a sixth sense in terms of the atmosphere and mood of his audience and where to take the music next. Whether it was to Abba, Bruno Mars, Elvis, the Isley Brothers, or Ed Sheeran, everyone was up and dancing at the reception - kids and grandparents alike.

All things considered, Greg was the perfect DJ for a perfect night. Planning for a wedding is extremely stressful, but Greg took a lot of weight off our shoulders because of how thoughtful, thorough, and talented he is. Neither myself nor my wife could recommend him anymore highly.

Entertainment Concepts is an amazing vendor. Greg Gates is the best DJ. My husband and I were very impressed with him right from the start! During our meeting with him, we could tell that he knows the psychology behind being a DJ at weddings! He knows what songs to play and when to play them!

My family has hired him as a DJ at numerous family weddings. Greg goes above and beyond to ensure that all the wedding guests have an amazing time at the wedding. He is professional and fun. During the reception he checked in on my husband and me at our table to make sure that we had everything we needed.

He did such an amazing job making sure that people were having fun and dancing. The day after my wedding one of the guests came up to me and said that he actually danced at a wedding for the first time!

He even took some photos of my husband and I at the reception and emailed them to us the night of the wedding!

You will regret NOT choosing Greg as your DJ. My husband and I got married about 3 weeks ago. We knew from day 1 that a DJ was something very important to us as it can make or break the wedding. We looked around on websites, but then Greg came recommended to us. We reached out to him and he was quick to answer and work around our schedule to find a time to meet, even though it was late at night. He was extremely accommodating in that sense. When we met with Greg, I immediately sensed that he was phenomenal at his job. He talked about every single aspect of the wedding and how to deal with it. We immediately knew that Greg was the best DJ. We were proven right as well. Greg helped us choose the music when we were at a loss for what to do next. He helped us put a modern spin on our wedding which we were looking for too. He had an answer for every question and made our wedding even more amazing. The night was an absolute hit. The dance floor was PACKED the entire night. Greg nailed it playing a mix of oldies and current music that our guests were thrilled to listen to. There were so many things we loved about working with Greg, but we loved that he truly cared about making our wedding a success. I was also beyond excited to get back to the hotel and see that Greg had emailed me pictures throughout the night. I just had Greg as my dj over the weekend for my wedding and he did awesome!! The dance floor was packed the entire night. Even my 87 year old grandmother was out there for a long time. I planned the wedding from the west coast so we did lots of phone meetings in which he was very flexible with the times to speak since there was a 3 hour time difference. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Entertainment Concepts, Greg and his team. Music and the venue were probably two of the most important things to me. Greg was so thorough and attentive to my needs. I got married to my husband in June 2017 at The Barn at Gibbet Hill, and it was the most perfect night, and music played a huge role in that. Greg was so amazing with working with me, for being exactly the DJ I wanted him to be...he made it all about my husband and I....was so sweet surrounding the death of my Father and making the schedule of events and music work for me... I am a bit of a control freak, so Greg made sure to learn my music style, my likes, my dislikes, and my music list was perfect. I danced the night away and still have scars from blisters on my dancing shoes. People still rave about our music from our wedding almost a year later. Greg is amazing! I could not recommend him enough! From our first phone call with him we were so impressed. When we met with him, he spent time going over all the details with us and really made the process fun. Most importantly, he rocked the wedding! People started dancing right after dinner and the party went all night! The music could not have been better. Everyone had a great time. Greg also helped keep the wedding rolling and paid attention to all the small details. He checked in on and with us. He even brought me a napkin when I had icing on my hand after the cake cutting.

Stop looking for a DJ and hire Greg! He is more thorough than I could have imagined a DJ could be. We had him at our March 2018 wedding at the Renaissance in Haverhill, MA. He has worked there many times and all the staff love having him. We spent many hours in his office making a timeline for the whole wedding day. He helped us pick out music for every special moment, even though I asked if he would just pick it on the spot, he wanted it to be our choice. He was so thoughtful and detail-oriented throughout the entire planning process, making sure that both he and we knew exactly what was going to happen throughout the entire evening. His music knowledge is vast and he made great suggestions when we were stuck on a song for a particular moment in the day. Greg was so great to work with from the moment we first contacted him. He responded very quickly to emails and we had three phone meetings all an hour plus! DJ Greg definitely made the party. He works at Willowdale a lot and the staff know him well. From the moment we talked to him, we knew he would make the party spectacular. He is very detail oriented and makes sure you have time to dance the night away with your guests. He provides you with a detailed timeline from beginning to end. He helps with the music choices where you may get stuck and keeps the day flowing. Will always check on you and help out where he can (he can legally marry you just in case your officiant doesn't show up).
Going into the reception, we just wanted to party and once we started no one stopped. The dance floor was never empty and people were talking about it the day after. He will event send you photos throughout the day!

Greg was so much more than a DJ at my wedding! Not only did he spin the best tunes and had all of my guests on their feet moving and grooving. Where to even begin?? Greg is the definition of a master of his craft. We reached out to Greg as our Wedding DJ based on the positive feedback we had read about him, and after our first conversation with him on the phone, choosing Greg was an absolute no-brainer. He walked us through his entire process, his experience and how he utilizes his role as the DJ to bring out the best of your reception. And believe me, he delivered! Since our wedding day, I can't count how many compliments we've gotten from our guests on Greg's performance that night.
For preparation of what we were looking for, Greg was beyond professional and organized. He was excited, friendly and made us both so confident in what he was doing. He took exactly what we were looking for out of our experience and expanded on it. It was honestly a blast working on our packet with Greg, he's someone you feel has been a long time friend of yours as soon as you start talking to him!
On our wedding day, Greg went out of his way to check in on Andrea and I, making sure everything was going as we had hoped and even offered to grab us drinks as needed. Absolutely above and beyond what we ever could have asked for. Our wedding coordinator had commented to us that, when we mentioned we had Greg as our DJ, that he could truthfully run the entire night by himself. We are completely convinced of that, as he seriously blew us away with how talented and comprehensive he is.
I can not say enough kind things about Greg here, he is the absolute best at what he does and you will not find someone who is better, I can promise that. Greg was phenomenal! We already knew that his DJ-ing was great, because we were at a wedding that he played, which was how we knew of him. But once I emailed him & had our first phone call - my husband & I just looked at each other and were like "do we even need to talk to these other people?". No, don't talk to those other people!
Our meeting with Greg was the most helpful vendor meeting we had, out of all of them. He helped us create our entire game plan for the day, something I had been stressing over for weeks because I've never had a wedding before. And every little piece of the meeting was great, from him saying "okay, if you want to play some hip hop at the reception, I'll start playing some of this other music at dinner to start getting people in the mood for it" to Greg looping a version of the entrance song that I wanted so that we didn't run into the swear words.
We spent a ton of time creating a "do not play" "please play" list, and I wish we only made our list like 5 songs, because Greg just did amazing, feeding off the energy of the crowd and putting on exactly the right song and the right time. He also kept us on schedule, made sure that we got time to eat dinner, FIXED THE A/C AT OUR VENUE (yeah, because he's more than just a DJ!)! He even sent me emails with photos while I was getting ready in the bridal suite so I could see what the weather was like outside, and took a few key photos for us at the ceremony & reception that he sent me.
I cannot thank Greg enough for doing such an amazing job and making our wedding day so much fun & less stressful!

There are not enough great things I can say about Greg and his company!!
From our first consultation until the absolute very end Greg was extremely helpful, accommodating and professional.
He completely put our minds at ease with any concerns we had, very quick to respond to my messages and flexible with our meeting schedules.
Our wedding was on October 21st 2017 and many of our guests keep telling us stories about how awesome Greg was and how much they really enjoyed the entertainment at our wedding.

Greg was our DJ at our wedding in August 2017. I cannot speak highly enough of Greg. While our actual venues got us to the wedding, Greg got us through the actual evening.

He worked with us in making sure songs were cut to the length we wanted (for mother/son and father/daughter dances as well as entrances). He also kept the crowd going and making sure the dance adhered the current mood of our guests.

I think the best part of working with Greg, aside from being extremely organized and detailed, was how well he took care of us as the bride/groom. He pulled us away for our guests, in a very subtle and polite manner, when our food arrived to ensure we had to time to eat. We told him about our timeline for the event (we wanted dinner rushed since it was served later and we had a lot of younger and older guests) and he ensure the venue stayed on track.

Hiring DJ Greg is the best decision you can make for your wedding. He was incredibly thorough before the event, down to the smallest pronunciation of names. He is almost like a second wedding planner with the amount of detail he prepares for. For example, while we had a quartet for the ceremony, he still came with all of the equipment necessary in case the quartet should fall through. What we cared the most about was making sure that people of all ages enjoyed the music, and boy did he deliver. Everyone was on the dance floor until the very last song, young and old alike. You absolutely can not go wrong with Greg!! Do yourself a favor and hire him!

Greg was the DJ at our wedding two weeks ago and we cannot imagine working with anyone else! When we first met with Greg we knew that we would be impressed based on the reviews that we had read, but after actually meeting him we knew that we were making the right choice. Greg was so detail oriented, organized and enthusiastic while working with us! We worked with Greg throughout the months of wedding planning and always felt like he had our best interest in mind while also sharing his professional experience to help us plan our perfect wedding. Anytime I emailed Greg or had a question for him, he was very quick to respond and extremely helpful- I could tell that he considered our event a top priority. On the night of our wedding, our guests didn't leave the dance floor for hours!! Everyone was partying and LOVING every song that came on! Each part of the reception was accompanied with perfect music and song choices and the energy was contagious! THANK YOU for helping us create such a fun, memorable wedding! I highly recommend Greg if you are looking for a fun and professional DJ!

I don't even know where to begin with the praise for Greg. From a DJ stand point he is excellent. He has his finger on the pulse of the wedding and creates an amazing atmosphere on the dance floor. MC wise he is also excellent and ensures the entire wedding goes smoothly operationally. He takes the time and effort to plan everything out with the bride and groom and thru his experience is able to lend thoughtful insight and advice. He shows that he truly cares about your wedding day and is invested in its success. I nicknamed Greg the "Song Chemist" during our meetings with him. The man is clearly at the pinnacle of his profession. We could not be happier and more pleased with the service provided. We recommend Greg and Entertainment Concepts for things entertainment. He is the best

Hiring Greg was one of the most serendipitous experiences of planning my wedding. Having reached my wit's end trying to find a DJ, I ran into a friend on the train who had recently gotten married. She and her husband absolutely loved their DJ, who happened to be a friend of theirs. When I cross checked the name she gave me, I realized he was already a preferred vendor at my venue, and I knew we'd found the right guy--Greg Gates with Entertainment Concepts!

Greg is super sweet and friendly, and completely respects your taste in music. My husband and I had a strict no-music-post-the-year-2000 rule, and had specific ideas about what songs we wanted for our opener and closer, and he accommodated all of our requests. Greg does a lot more than just make sure people are dancing--he's also the emcee when you need him to be, running the show behind the scenes to let people know when it's time for toasts, cake-cutting, etc. He also rented us our photobooth, which was used all night, and provided uplights at a great price. He is truly a one-man-show!

Greg is way more than a DJ and we are so thrilled we went with him for our wedding this past weekend. His organization, professionalism and entertainment was amazing. Greg makes sure he goes through the whole wedding night at length about a week or two out from the ceremony. As a bride, I felt the most calm after that conversation. Greg is attentive to detail and has the unique ability to make sure your special night feels both unique and entertaining to all your guests. Choosing Greg will be the best decision you make!!

We had Greg for our wedding this past Friday in Groton. Greg did an absolutely incredible job. He was thorough, reliable, oh and the music was amazing as well! We would recommend Greg to anyone who is looking for a DJ service, and you would be making a mistake if you DIDN'T use Greg! We can't recommend him enough!!!

Greg was easily the best "vendor" choice we made for our wedding and we couldn't have been an happier. Our wedding was amazing because of him. Working with Greg was great, very easy, conversation flowed and always generated new and creative ideas. Getting to know him personally really helped him cater to us specifically. We also felt he was very different from other djs we met with. He put in a lot of work that didn't involve us choosing from a top 100 list and him making a playlist from that. Working with Greg was easy. He was responsive, thorough, and helpful. For example, I didn't know what song to dance to with my Dad. Greg had a myriad of suggestions, something for every possible emotion we may want to convey- fun, loving, entertaining, daddy's girl, etc. I really appreciated he did not point us to a list online and offered us a range of suggestions. Everything was perfect and he really calmed my nerves during the planning process. He did a great job keeping us on time during wedding prep and the wedding itself - any time there was a concern during the wedding he found us and presented the problem, offered a solution and then asked what we wanted. He was there early, with full backup in case the venue had any issues, if his equipment had any issues, or if there were any changes last minute. Basically we had zero worries about anything going wrong with our DJ. Greg had everyone on the dance floor, rotated music selections to hit a variety of genres, and kept the party going all night, which for us was a 5 hour reception, without any issues. Greg was affordable, upfront and most helpful with any questions we had. I would recommend Greg for anyone - I wish we could give him 6 stars!

Greg, you've done it again! Jason and I were so thrilled when you we able to be a part of our wedding. Starting from the music at the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception was seamless. I don't think I've ever seen a wedding with more people on the dance floor than ours. And your attention to detail for name pronunciations, timing, etc was spot on! Greg was truly incredible and so wonderful to work with. I never knew so much detail went into the music and timing of a wedding. He did both our ceremony and reception and was open to all of my ideas while also making great suggestions along the way. My family and friends kept asking me who made our playlist because it was the best they'd heard at a wedding! We really didn't want the night to end.
