I had a great experience working with Engaging Events for my wedding! I specifically worked with Cheyenne for most of my wedding journey, and she was always a delight to work with and very responsive! Her and the team worked together months in advance to help me navigate planning a wedding from out of state and were very professional. I especially loved my florals!! We had such a positive experience with the Engaging Events (EE) team, and from end-to-end they made both the planning and the execution of the wedding day such an amazing time. With this being our first wedding, we obviously were new to the process and wanted to ensure we had a planner helping us along the way and are so thankful that we landed with Kaely, Haley, and the EE team.
We wanted to have a small, intimate wedding focused on the food and throughout the process EE kept those priorities top of mind and made sure that everything we planned fell along those lines. I loved that right at the beginning of the planning process they asked for our top priorities (music, food, drinks, vibes, etc.) which guided everything we planned from the start.
We planned most of the wedding remotely, meaning that we relied heavily on EE to do venue tours, work with local vendors, and provide local expertise along the way. We ended up with the perfect venue, the most amazing food from Cru, and a band that was perfectly aligned with our vibe. EE worked with us to schedule regular calls and did virtual venue tours on our behalf and did so much behind the scenes on the ground which made everything so easy for us.
While I am sure EE, Kaely and Haley were also involved in other weddings throughout, it did not feel that way. We felt that we were their main focus and their organization and frequent communication meant that we never felt behind schedule. They kept up with Pinterest boards that we saved to show our vision of how we wanted the wedding to look, and planned everything accordingly so that the day felt exactly how we wanted.
The actual wedding day felt like it went exactly to plan, and neither of us felt any stress throughout. The only thing we wish is that the day could’ve lasted even longer as we had so much fun with our friends and family. From the coordination of the photographers and videographers, the food, florals, the band, the transportation, and everything else it felt seamless. We did not have to focus on any decisions on the day and we’re fully able to be present and enjoy eachother, which is exactly what we dreamed of. We had a clear vision of what we wanted the day to look like, and it looked exactly as we hoped.
I cannot express enough how grateful we are for Kaely, Haley, and the EE team and how highly we recommend them. We hope everyone can have such a seamless, positive, and loving wedding planning process and wedding day as we did! -

Wedding Planning and Florals
Cindy and her team are simply incredible at what they do! From the start we had it in our minds that having a destination wedding at a place we had never been to was going to be difficult, but Cindy and her team made everything so simple and easy! She knew absolutely everything necessary for our venue, The Ocean Course at KIawah Island Golf Resort. She was willing to work with me, listen to my vision, take things into consideration that were important, and she executed everything flawlessly! Leading up to our day I did not feel any bit of stress because I knew that they had everything handled! Our entire wedding day flowed seamlessly. Anything that came up was handled and they made sure that we were having the time of our lives. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank Cindy and her team for the amazing job they did! The time, care, love, and energy they spent making our day perfect will forever be appreciated! -

Amazing, deeply respected and highly experience team
Cindy and her team at Engaging Events are the best in their game. Upon learning that we were working with her, every vendor would visibly relax - her reputation for being thorough, practical and focused on what really matters was clear. Her decades of experience and trusted relationships across the Charleston-area wedding community were especially helpful for us as a couple planning a wedding from another state. Executing an outdoor event on Kiawah especially presented logistical and weather based challenges for which Cindy offered countless solutions - easing our minds knowing she'd done it MANY times before and had the full trust of the vendor teams onsite the day of. We can honestly say our wedding day was stress free knowing we were in her hands. Her approach is practical, thorough and couple focused, packing a ton of value into reasonable planning fees. We felt the support of a high-touch planner where we needed it most and the light-touch guidance where we were more comfortable navigating on our own, and in the final month, it was so great to be able to step away from the vendor management and event details knowing that it was all in Cindy's extremely capable hands. We are so glad we opted for EE over some of the flashier alternatives researched - truly the best decision we made was hiring Cindy's team. -

Engaging Events far exceeded expectations
This was my first experience as mother of the bride, and my daughter suggested we look into hiring a planner. Being new to Charleston and not knowing anything about the vendors here, I agreed. I had no idea how much Caroline and Cindy would take care of, for a very reasonable price. Caroline narrowed down each various vendor to a few recommendations, so I wasn’t overwhelmed. She kept my budget and tracked when payments were due. She was quickly responsive to every call or email. She was very tuned in to our preferences and priorities. Lastly, her presence on the actual wedding day was invaluable. I didn’t have to do anything at all, except enjoy the day and our guests. She covered every detail. The whole experience with Engaging Events was incredible and worth every penny. -

Caroline made our wedding planning such a breeze! When we selected Kiawah Island as our wedding location, we knew nothing about the local wedding vendors, being from out of town, and her expertise in the Charleston market was invaluable. She organized the planning in such a way that we never felt overwhelmed, giving us one or two things to work on at a time. Our meetings were always so productive and we felt more excited for our wedding after each one. The wedding weekend arrived with absolutely horrible weather for the welcome party, which was supposed to be at a mostly outdoor venue, and Caroline pivoted the event indoors at a different location that ended up being wonderful. She really saved the day. The wedding itself was truly spectacular, with Cindy’s flowers and place settings being really stunning. We so appreciate how Caroline and Taylor took care of all the logistics on our big day. It was so well run that all we had to do was get ready, show up, get married, and enjoy ourselves. Our wedding was beyond perfect and it is mostly thanks to Caroline’s fantastic work. We cannot recommend her enough!

Down right exceptional!!!! A must hire!
My husband and I are newlyweds as of October 2021 and had the most amazing experience working with Engaging Events as our wedding planner and floral designers. From the very second we met Caroline and her team we felt at home and taken care of. The meticulous work and care that goes into your event is unmatched and they will help you plan the wedding of your dreams!!! Our wedding day was the absolute most perfect day of our lives all thanks to them. They take all the stress off of you and you’re left the just enjoy the day as bride and groom. The BEST Coordinator in Charleston
I can not express enough how amazing Engaging Events was to work with for my Wedding in October, 2021! We did a full service coordination and they did not miss a single thing. During the planning process, as the bride I was asked by multiple people how I was feeling while planning and if I was stressed. My answer every time was no, the process was seamless for us, even as an out of state bride. That is all credited to Engaging Events amazing team. It was truly the most magical day, with the most amazing vendors. Highly recommend, you will not regret it! -

Cindy, Caroline and their team were absolutely great and crucial to our wedding looking so beautiful and running smoothly. Caroline was always quick to respond back to communications. Caroline also helped with our stationary and welcome boxes and they turned out amazing, highly recommend letting the team help coordinate some of your wedding needs if you aren't using them as a full time planner. The flowers Cindy picked out were just stunning and better than I ever imagined. I also highly recommend seeing a sample of the linens and florals before the wedding day. I was hesitant but it turned out to be so worth it, as we were able to make changes. The team was running around the entire day of the wedding making sure everything was running on time and checking in on the Bride and Groom. Overall great experience, and the wedding was just perfect!

Amazing!!!
I can't even tell you how amazing Cindy and her team are! We live in Boston, but were getting married in Charleston and Cindy made planning a wedding from out of state a breeze. After talking to her on the phone when we were looking for a planner we knew she was going to be amazing. Her and her team are so kind, professional, experienced, and a dream to work with. They totally understood our vision and our wedding was unbelievably beautiful and perfect - I'm still in awe of how everything turned out! I procrastinate and am extremely indecisive, but Cindy kept me on track during all of the wedding planning. She was so helpful in deciding on details and knew exactly what recommendations to make. Cindy has so much experience and she didn't miss a detail anywhere. I was so thankful for her and her team during our wedding weekend because my husband and I did not have to worry about a thing which allowed us to just enjoy the weekend with our friends and family. They even delivered welcome boxes to guests' AirBnB's if they were not staying in the hotel blocks! So many of our guests told us that our wedding was the best/most beautiful wedding they had been to and that is truly all thanks to Cindy and her team. We are so happy we worked with Engaging Events and can't recommend them enough! -

We hired Caroline Bean at Engaging Events after having changed our original wedding planner due because we had to postpone our original wedding date because of Covid. I have experience working with another Charleston-based planner and in the process, I've interviewed close to a dozen planners in the area. Engaging Events (EE), in my opinion, are THE best. I highly recommend working with Caroline. She is so organized and thinks of absolutely everything. My original planner basically sent us a PDF with recommended vendors and told me to chose some. She also always first suggested the most expensive vendors (bands, etc). Caroline with EE never did that. She worked with me to choose vendors and made helpful suggestions based on price and style. EE does their own flowers in house, which is actually amazing. They give you a great rate on florals and you don't have to worry about interviewing and finding a florist you like. My original florist for the 2020 wedding quoted us over double what we ended up paying for our 2021 wedding with EE. And the flowers were so perfect. I wouldn't have changed a thing!
EE worked with us to design a beautiful theme for the wedding and table design. It came out even better than I had imagined. They thought of every detail.
On the day-of, they were so helpful and made sure that everything went accordingly to plan. I didn't have to worry because I knew they were on top of everything.
Honestly, having worked with a more expensive and less competent planner in the past, I'm actually grateful that our wedding was postponed due to Covid. Thanks to our postponement, we ended up working with Engaging Events, and our wedding turned out to be better than I could have imagined AND we saved money in the process. They are really outstanding - go with Caroline at Engaging Events!! -

Engaging Events MADE Our Wedding!
Once our venue had been chosen and reserved, I needed to hire a wedding coordinator and my husband knew JUST the one! Caroline Bean, a family friend through church who works at Engaging Events :) The first time I called their office and asked to speak to Caroline, she was available and could not wait to help us plan our special day! Even in the midst of a global pandemic where social distancing and mask wearing had been required, Engaging Events jumped right in to help us make a plan - AND a back-up plan. Between meetings, phone calls and emails, both Caroline and Cindy were available and responsive. Both ladies are VERY ORGANIZED, they and their team pay attention to detail and MOST IMPORTANT they CARE about meeting the wants and needs of each and every bride and groom! Our wedding reception at Harborside East in Mount Pleasant, SC was more beautiful than I had imagined! The bouquets and floral arrangements took my breath away! Thank you, Engaging Events, for all of your hard work - the celebration of our marriage came together PERFECTLY! -

We cannot say enough about Engaging Events and their ability to bring our wedding vision to life. Our day was flawlessly planned from start to finish with a very thorough timeline shared with all of our vendors. They are organized, thoughtful and professional. They truly know all of the right questions to ask their couples in order to take your full vision and plan your dream wedding day. My husband and I looked around during our reception and couldn’t believe it. It was like my Pinterest vision board had come to life, but even better. We were nervous that planning from afar (Boston) would be difficult, but everything was smooth / seamless. They went above and beyond. Not to mention basically needing to plan our wedding twice during the COVID-19 pandemic. Caroline took action and helped contact all of our vendors for second date options and handled so much for us during a very stressful time. We can't thank them enough. Working with Caroline and Cindy was incredible. I was one of those brides that basically had no vision and needed a lot of direction. The guided me through the whole planning and design process and made the most beautiful wedding I've ever experience. It felt like they were my fairy godmothers turning some small ideas into this amazing event! It even stormed pretty aggressively the morning of and somehow the weather turned and we had an absolutely perfect temperature and breeze (see they are magic!!). Carline was on top of everything and so unbelievably organized it gave me all the comfort I needed. Most people say prepare for something to go wrong on your wedding day and with Engaging Events I don't see how anything could go wrong, and if it did, I sure didn't notice (isn't that the point)! I knew from the first moment that I spoke with Caroline over the phone that she was going to be the perfect choice for my husband and I as a wedding planner. Considering that we live 4 hours away from Charleston, this was a destination wedding for us and we knew that we needed someone from the Charleston area to take over and plan/coordinate our wedding. Not only did I have complete trust in Caroline and the entire Engaging Events team but I had a vision of what I wanted our perfect day to look like and I could not believe how amazing and beautiful our wedding day turned out. Anytime that I had questions, no matter how big or small, or needed Caroline's opinion she was always available with a timely reply. Even with everything that was going on with COVID, and some of our important Charleston visits being postponed, the Engaging Events team worked with us and our schedules and with each day I felt like I was in the best of hands.
For our wedding, I knew that I wanted florals as my top priority and with just my pinterest page, a couple of email references and a Facetime call (because our trip was canceled because of COVID) Cindy was able to produce some of the most beautiful and breathtaking floral arrangements I have ever seen. My husband even said to me that it was my pinterest page right in front of his eyes. Engaging Events does their own in house florals and that was another reason why we went with them. We received so many compliments from our guests from how beautiful everything was from the ceremony set up to the florals on the mantel to how smoothly everything was. I could not have dreamt up a more perfect day. Caroline and Cindy are absolutely amazing and I would recommend them every single time. -

Amazing team- wonderful experience
The engaging events team are outstanding in every way! Caroline Bean is exceptional at what she does and makes even the partial planning option feel so easy and stress free. Caroline and Clellen ( florist) truly made our vision come to life and did not stop until we were 100% happy with every single detail. Caroline helped us find the best vendors in town and had amazing recommendations. She also thought of every detail that we absolutely would not have even thought of, but were crucial to the wedding day going so smooth! There are so many logistics that go into a wedding and having a great wedding planner is really important. Not only did Caroline and the team take care of all the logistics of the day, but they knocked it out of the park with florals and decor. We were blown away when we saw our ceremony and reception locations all set up. We can’t thank the team enough for their service throughout the whole planning process. My mom, my husband, and I worked with Engaging Events to plan our destination wedding at Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms on May 18, 2019 and it was truly a dream come true!
From my first calls with Cindy Zingerella and Caroline Bean, I could tell that they were true professionals who knew exactly what they were doing.
From knowing exactly what time sunset would be on the date we had chosen, to suggesting a wonderful officiant with whom we developed a genuine relationship over the months of planning, to capturing our vision PERFECTLY, to finding amazing vendors, to keeping everyone and everything organized, literally NO detail went unaddressed.
My husband and I run a business together, and we both have strong personalities, so keeping us on track and focused was a job in and of itself, and Cindy and Caroline kept us moving forward with efficiency and grace.
While planning the wedding was a lot of work and could be frustrating at times, Cindy, Caroline and Gabrielle, who joined our team later on in the process, all did an amazing job of removing friction for us throughout the process.
When the wedding weekend was finally upon us, all the hard work paid off and I can honestly say, I was not stressed AT ALL. I had had nightmares about becoming a bridezilla or just being so stressed I couldn't enjoy it, but it was the complete opposite of that. I was LITERALLY on cloud nine for the entire weekend and my husband felt the same way. I attribute so much of that to the foresight, organization, and professionalism of Cindy and the entire Engaging Events Team.
Our band was amazing, the food was delicious, our arbor, bouquets and flower arrangements were FLAWLESS, and we are so lucky that we found Cindy and Caroline to bring it all together and help us have what was truly the best day of our lives. -

If you're hosting a wedding or event and considering hiring Engaging Events to help with the planning...DO IT! Cindy and the Engaging Events team helped me plan our wedding this fall and working with them made the whole thing possible. I was in grad school and working full time and could not have pulled off a wedding without this team’s help. Cindy’s attention to detail and commitment to delivering against your vision will be unmatched. She was incredibly responsive and very helpful in not only walking me through the wedding planning process, but also offering suggestions to keep within budget, to secure the best vendors and to make sure we’d accounted for all aspects of planning a beautiful wedding. We’ve had several guests tell us that our wedding was the best/most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended. I’m a little biased, but I could not have imagined a better wedding day. Cindy and the team not only made the venue stunning, but also took care of every detail so that we could enjoy our big day (including to-go boxes of our stations for later!).

We got married October of this year, and I can say with absolute certainty that the wedding would have not been what it was without Engaging Events! Cindy and her team are dedicated from the first day you hire them to making your wedding or event absolutely everything that you want it to be. Cindy knows vendors and event planning inside and out! Was able to predict our guest count to with in 5! There was no way we could have used someone else or did it on our own to make our wedding and reception look and flow like Caroline did. Her creativity and advice was greatly appreciated throughtout.
Its been a month since we got married and we continue to get dozens of compliments about our wedding and reception. All credit due to Caroline!
A major quality about Caroline that makes her stand out from other wedding planners is that she is so CALM. Brides- its natural to be stressed the day of, but i promise hiring Caroline makes a world of a difference.

From mine and Cindy's first conversation I felt so comfortable and knew she would help me stay on budget as well as plan the wedding of mine and Sean's dreams. Cindy took the time to go over how I invisioned the big day and then brought that vision to life. Over the past year we've had lots of talks and she was always kind, helpful, and came up with amazing ideas for bringing the theme of our wedding to life. She was not only an amazing wedding planner; she also became a friend and kept me calm throughout some of the craziness that was going on in my life surrounding the time of the wedding. I'm so thankful for Cindy, Caroline, and the Engaging Events team for planning the best day of our lives! -

We are grateful for all the back and forth planning, recommendations of vendors and the use of vendors we selected/found. Cora Sent on 05/26/2018We worked with Caroline Bean at Engaging Events, and she was the most important part of our wedding planning process. Caroline was incredibly professional - she was helpful, listened to our preferences, and gave us honest opinions on appropriate topics. The Engaging Events team was very knowledgeable about the market, generally and in Charleston, and often had great recommendations based on other weddings they had recently done. Caroline also seamlessly worked directly and behind the scenes with our venue coordinators and the relationship appeared to be very amicable and professional. The night of the wedding, Caroline coordinated everything beautifully - she approached us to ask appropriate questions, and otherwise directed the flow of the wedding seamlessly.
We were looking for a lot of help and guidance and the team was ideal for that, and given how closely they listened to our preferences and needs, I also think they would be great for those who have a firmer wedding vision. I couldn't recommend Caroline and the Engaging Events team highly enough. -

Lindsay Sent on 04/14/2018Cindy, Caroline, Clellen, and the rest of the Engaging Events team were absolutely fantastic planning my wedding at the Historic Rice Mill. From the very first phone call with Cindy, I knew she would be the perfect person to plan my wedding. She is friendly, organized, efficient, and managed to make an overwhelming task simply fun. She kept my husband and I on a timeline and was quick to respond to phone calls and emails. Cindy managed to take my ideas (and my husbands) and plan a wedding and reception that truly fit us. There is no doubt in my mind that the entire Engaging Events team loves what they do - and it shows in the smallest details of their work. From the lanterns in the trees to the ribbons on the bouquets, the candles in the windows to the draping on the patio - every aspect was perfection. On the day of the wedding, Cindy and Caroline made sure we were taken care of by quickly solving last minute dilemmas, making sure we were fed, and helping pin my dress up when the heels came off. I cannot thank the Engaging Events team enough!

Pamela Sent on 02/25/2018Cindy and her team are absolutely wonderful! I had no vision of what I wanted and she was able to figure out what we liked and didn't like and turn it into the perfect event! Additionally, she was able to work with dietary and physical restrictions that we have in the family so that everyone was able to enjoy themselves and be a part of the day! She owns a ton of decorative accessories, which meant that we didn't have to buy our own - a big plus, since we don't live locally. She has a florist on staff - Kella - who is amazing! I gave very loose guidelines and she went above and beyond to deliver the most beautiful flowers and arrangements that I could have imagined! I can not recommend her and her team enough!
