The BEST day of my life 🥰
After choosing The Conservatory at Sussex County Fairgrounds as my venue, I started looking for catering companies I knew I was going to use Encore for my wedding. Their reviews are AMAZING and they did not disappoint. From the start Sandy was amazing! She answered all my questions and helped me create a vision for my wedding day and then she exceeded all expectations. The linens and chairs were gorgeous, and the food was to die for! We had three cocktail stations and passed hors d’oeuvres, the themed dinner stations were so good that I can’t pick a favorite! I received compliments on the food all night and for days following the wedding. Guests also spoke so highly of the staff and how friendly they were. Elaine was my maitre’d and she made sure everything was perfect at all times. Pam was mine and my husbands personal server and she NEVER missed a beat making sure we had everything we could possibly need. I can’t rave about them enough. The owners Karen and Lisa are amazing!!!

Encore Catering Knocked it Out of the Park!
I cannot say enough good things about Encore Catering of New Jersey. We had an amazing experience with them under a very stressful situation. We had to find a brand new caterer for my daughter’s 150 guest wedding with less than two months lead time. We worked with Sandy who was AMAZING. She was so knowledgeable, service oriented, and a calming force. I cannot say enough good things about her. She provided valuable insights, worked with us to create a fantastic menu, handled all of our rental needs and worked collaboratively with the venue to ensure everything was perfect. As last minute curve balls arose, she calmly addressed them and kept us apprised via amazingly prompt emails and phone calls. Encore’s food is outstanding. From the cocktail hour's plentiful passed hor d’oeveres (that never stopped they kept coming and coming!) and beatuiful stations, to the artisitic and yummy salad, to the main course entrees and passed mini desserts, everything was delicious. Besides being delicious, Encore’s presentation is BEAUTIFUL! The staff that worked our event were all super courteous, professional and service oriented. Two weeks later, our guests continue to rave about the food and service Encore Catering provided. I highly recommend them without any reservation, you won’t be disappointed. Encore is the best of the best! Susan was patient and helpful every step of the way when planning our wedding. She listened to what we wanted and was able to give us an incredible menu for a reasonable price. The attention to detail from EVERYONE at Encore should not go unnoticed.
Our tasting was personalized and intimate. The quality of food is outstanding. We never once had to worry about the catering. Day of the wedding, my venue DROPPED THE BALL. The food was amazing. We were concerned that we were going with traditional wedding food however the quality of the service and the taste of the food was amazing. The head server was always there for us bringing us food and drinks and asking us if we needed anything. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing!! Best wedding food I ever had.

We hired Encore to cater our wedding at Kean University in June. They were by far the best caterers!! SO attentive to not just my husband and I but our families and guests. The staff really went out of their way to ensure all guests were happy. Roger and Bill were amazing behind the bar, serving up delicious cocktails and checking on us to make sure we were always good with everything. Lilly was our event manager from Encore and she just rocked! She was SO helpful with ALL planning and made sure everything on the day of was amazing. We are still receiving compliments on the food from our guests which makes us happy because the last thing you want is for guests to walk away hungry because the food wasn't good. We had the taco bar during our cocktail hour and Encore had some fun decorations for the station....the bar received RAVE reviews!! My wife and I just celebrated our six month anniversary and since our wedding day we always talk about one vendor, ENCORE! To give a little background, during our planning my wife and I were on the same page about every vendor except catering - I was convinced that using a vendor that gave us a cheaper quote would be sufficient and everyone would still have a great time dancing and partying. My wife convinced me Encore was the better choice, she has never been more right on a decision, ever. Encore was absolutely amazing! Let me repeat AMAZING. I want to say it one more time AMAZING!! Why Encore is absolutely incredible 1)The food is so good I still dream about the food they served. Everyone’s first sentence to me at the wedding was “Congratulations and this food is AMAZING, who are they?” Where we got married there was no kitchen, so their ability to make incredible food even with this challenge put them in an entirely different category in my opinion. 2)Their service level is by far the best service I have ever seen at a wedding or restaurant. They were attentive to each of our guests needs, took ownership and resolved any problem. A great example, it was hot and our wedding was outside – They wet napkins and put them in the freezer, once cold, they gave them to our guests on the dance floor to cool off. Another example, it rained on our big day and I was walking to some guests (outside of our cocktail area) Michelle (The Maître D) knew I had requested shrimp cocktail. She covered the shrimp, ran in the rain and met me under my umbrella and waited (in the rain!) as I ate it just to ensure I was happy. 3)They are organized, efficient, and responsive during the planning process. Lilly and June were so helpful, as we did our pre-walk before the wedding they had everything covered - knew all of the questions to ask/ problems that could arise - incredible attention to detail. I just celebrated my 25th Anniversary at the home of my son which is a lot for a caterer to manage- On top of that I had 2 caterers - and Indian one and Encore- both trying to navigate in a home kitchen. It was seamless!
They arrived, set up- and got the food out to my 130 guests without a snag.
The presentation was stunning- the food delish- Everyone was absolutely raving. I did passed apps and small plates- and my friends could not say enough about not only the food but the professionalism of the staff.
I booked Thanksgiving from them yesterday- its so reasonable- why should I work so hard and be exhausted. Now I can enjoy my family and my day.
3 friends that attended are already planning to use them for weddings and parties- and many have asked for their details.

Encore Catering made our night! I did a lot of research into our caterer, and Encore was the place to beat from our very first interactions with them--professional, responsive, and very willing to work with our budget and needs. Not only did they provide amazing hors d'oeuvres and dinner, but they also provided our chair, linens, and china rental, and a really amazing staff.
Lilly and Karen were a dream to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Oh, and we also worked with them for our wedding cake, which looked beautiful, and though I only had the piece that my husband fed me at the cake-cutting, I think was very good!Encore Catering made our night! Lisa and Chef Robert really helped us with the menu and were with us every step of the way from the tasting all the way down to the walk-through for our venue. They were timely in every correspondence and gave us a lot of options so that we could have the wedding of our dreams with the budget we were alotted. On the day of our wedding, we had a maitre 'd, Michelle, to get food for us and made sure we had water and whatever we needed. We had picked lobster rolls as one of the passes for our cocktail hour, and when I heard that I missed a pass, Michelle found out, went straight to the kitchen and came out with the next batch. Fed bride = happy bride.
They really are a great bang for the buck and we would definitely use them again. Hands down the best service that I have ever witnessed from a catering team at a wedding. The day was FLAWLESS and it was all thanks to Encore. Everyone RAVED about the food, and the service. Professional, kind, outgoing, HELPFUL. The team really went above and beyond to make our day perfect, and we are so thankful. We went with Encore because they didn't give us a hard sell, the food at the tasting was above average, and their prices for offsite catering was as competitive as we could find. Encore exceeded all of our expectations on the day of, flawlessly setting up at a difficult venue, and passing food that people raved about all night long. Mostly Good With A Few Let Downs
Encore Catering catered my garden wedding on August 29, 2020. Most of my interactions were with Sandy Shakespeare, both on the phone and over email. While Sandy was always positive and willing to work with me, she missed important things in emails that would require a follow up, lost my credit card information for my initial deposit, and often left me feeling a little nervous about whether everything was covered. I also paid extra for a wooden bar that Encore had instead of a basic white bar based on a photo that looked nothing like the bar that showed up on the day of the wedding (see photos below). Additionally, we had made it very clear to Sandy that the bar was really important to us and we needed an experienced bartender for the day of the wedding. The bartender was changed 3 times leading up to the day, and the final change came the day before the wedding when we had no time to speak with the bartender about our expectations and hopes. Even though we left detailed instructions and recipes for the bartender, one of the signature drinks was made incorrectly and some guests were told there was no scotch at the bar when we had a 1.75L bottle available (that was never opened). It left us feeling underwhelmed about one of the most important parts of the day. All that said, the hors d'oeuvres and entrees were delicious so for that we would recommend them to a friend.
