Tasty food and amazing caterer!
Empire Eats was AMAZING! They were so helpful during the entire wedding process, especially with multiple date changes! They were very responsive and worked so hard to make our day run smoothly. On our wedding day, cocktails and dinner ran so smoothly and they made sure our guests (and us!) were all taken care of. Through EE we were also able to rent dinnerware, linens and extra tables which was super helpful and easy. Kristina and Maria were our main contacts and they were so incredible. -

Empire Eats & Kimberly = the best
Empire Eats is the best caterer in the triangle. As a former employee, I found that other wedding caterers didn't come close to the quality of Empire Eats selections and ultimately went with Empire despite eating a lot of their food during my employment. Kimberly and her staff always do a fantastic job! Kimberly even helped bustle the bride's dress at cocktail hour!!
Everyone at our wedding kept commenting on how great the food was. Multiple people asked about the caterer since they were looking for a caterers. -

Wonderful service
We were so excited to choose Empire Eats as our caterer as we got to choose a menu from one of our favorite restaurants, the Pit. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful! -

These folks went above and beyond and were the epitome of professionalism and class. The food was wonderful and all of the details having to do with the food (and drink) were taken care of and we did not have one worry about it at all! We would not change one thing! -

The staff at empire eats was amazing and very helpful. They helped establish a great package of food for our guests and worked with us to find the price that fit our budget. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have their wedding catered. -

The Pit was a HIT!
Thank you so much Empire Eats for the amazing food and service!! One of our friends literally came up to us during the reception and said "Where is the chef?!? I need to go find them and shake their hand!!!" We chose the Pit BBQ for food everyone was absolutely thrilled. Not to mention, they did an awesome job serving people at the bar (there was never a crazy long line and we definitely had some drinkers at our wedding!).
People always say you forget to eat during your wedding day, but we definitely didn't because Empire Eats served us our plates directly and the food was too dang good to not devour. We cannot thank you enough! -

Delicious!
Empire Eats was an amazing choice for our buffet dinner at our wedding. We had so many great options to choose from for food - Sitti, Gravy, The Pit, The Raleigh Times, etc. We went with offerings from The Pit. Everyone was raving about the pulled pork and macaroni and cheese! Kimberly was the BEST to work with. She was quick to answer questions and is so sweet and friendly. They offered multiple tastings we were able to go to before our wedding to help ease our decision on food. My only regret is not having time or room left to go back for a second plate! -

Krystal was the best!
We were a slightly difficult, out of state couple and did not hire a coordinator. We used Empire Eats for catering for our wedding (The Pit BBQ was delicious!) and CE rentals for linens & tableware. Before and during the event, Krystal and the Empire Eats staff were a huge help making sure our event ran smoothly! My only complaint is the waitstaff took mine and my husband's food away before we were done eating - the photographer stole us away for a couple of pictures and we returned to an empty table. I didn't get to eat quite as much of the AMAZING food as I wanted to :( just a minor miscommunication. I am so pleased with our experience using Empire Eats for our wedding! -

We held our rehearsal dinner at Gravy Restaurant, and we are so happy we did! The staff at Gravy was super responsive and helpful in the lead-up to our wedding. They paid careful attention to details and made sure we were able to accommodate our guests with allergies and other food restrictions. The Wine Cellar was such a lovely space and we loved that the food was served family-style. It created a warm, intimate feeling that really set the tone for our wedding weekend. Plus, the food was *delicious* and the overall cost was very reasonable! -

My daughter had a very small wedding, but we were treated as if we were their most import client. They were easy to work with before the wedding and the day of the wedding everyone was wonderful! The staff was so helpful! Several family members commented on it afterward. I couldn't have asked for more! Not to mention the food was AMAZING as I knew it would be!!! -

We used Empire eats Catering for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. The food at Sitti for the rehearsal was delicious family style Lebanese that our guests all loved. Amy and Devan were easy to work with and very responsive to any questions or request. The wedding ceremony was also amazing with a combination of food from Italian to Southern. The linens and place settings were beautiful ,and the service was excellent. Thanks to Kimberly at Empire Eats for helping to provide a wonderful dinner. -

This was one of the best vendors out of the whole wedding experience. Kimberly was amazing to work with and extremely responsive! She was flexible and helped work with my budget to get everything I wanted. The food was incredible. The best part is they contract out the rentals for silverware and linens so that you only have their contract to work with. Kimberly came with me to pick everything out and help design the whole look of the reception. The contract was easy to review, sign, and pay online. Everything about Empire Eats was seamless. The guests absolutely loved the food! -

When I booked with Empire Eats I had some trouble finding reviews for them, so I was nervous, but I had my wedding at a venue owned by their parent company, so I received 10% off the venue fee and I knew that we loved the food from The Pit - so we took a chance.
It totally paid off!!!
I loved working with EEC, everyone I spoke to was SO incredibly friendly and helpful. I emailed with my contact(s) regularly and they were always quick and responsive and never made me feel like I was asking "stupid bride" questions. Since food at weddings is generally so-so, I had low expectations for my food at the wedding, but everything was AWESOME. We had the chicken marsala and the beer braised short ribs and people were raving about them, as well as the rest of the food. Even amongst all the hustle and bustle of getting married, I found time to sit down and eat because it was just that good.
Not only that, but EEC worked directly with my rental company to make things so easy for me: I had one contact, one bill, one delivery, etc. It made things way less stressful for me, the bride.
Another thing I liked about EEC was that they allowed me to bring in my own alcohol and had their bartenders serve it for a nominal fee. It was much more affordable this way and it was as easy as dropping the alcohol off a few days before the wedding and picking up the excess a few days later. Quick, easy, cheap! Who doesn't like hearing those words when it comes to their wedding? -

We chose Empire Eats catering because of our love for The Pit and for BBQ, in general (However, our tasting showed us they offer a plethora of delicious foods!!). First and foremost, the food was even better than our tasting and the actual restaurant (and that's saying a lot because we are avid Pit goers!). A majority of our guests went back for seconds and couldn't stop raving about how delicious the food was.
But on top of the delicious food, I cannot say enough about the staff (especially Amanda and Lewis) who were so wonderful to work with. We worked with Amanda throughout the process of planning our wedding and she double checked everything to make sure our orders of everything were correct. I am a very detail-oriented person, and I was blown away by Amanda's detail to everything.
Lewis, who was on-site during the wedding (Amanda was there prior to the wedding!), was absolutely phenomenal, as well. Our ceremony was very short so Lewis was easy to work with and anything I, or my wedding planner, asked of him, he was willing to accommodate. It was truly wonderful to work with the entire staff during the planning and the actual wedding. I felt wonderful going into my wedding and it relieved a lot of stress from planning when I realized how much Empire Eats cared about making everything perfect for us. I cannot recommend them enough! -

We booked Empire Eats over a year before our wedding date because we love the restaurants that this company represents and frequent them in Raleigh. Their menu had lots of great options and we were able to work with them to create a menu that was both delicious and fit our budget. Although there were staffing changes throughout our planning process, we ended up working with Amanda who is not only a wizard at her job but also an all-around wonderful person. She checked and double-checked our details and logistics to help ensure that nothing was overlooked and that everything would go smoothly for our 100-person wedding. The food was amazing (we went with short ribs and salmon for main courses), and they were able to work with us so that our menu could feel very personal and true to us. Wedding catering is quite a production (especially with a ceremony-to-reception "flip" like we had at All Saints Chapel) and we truly appreciate the hard work and precise planning that went into making it all happen. Thank you to Amanda, the chefs, and the rest of the crew who was there on our special day... especially for making sure we ate our own wedding food (it was delicious). -

Empire Eats is part of a company that encompasses Gravy, Sitti, the Pit and the Raleigh Times. So when you’re deciding what to serve at your wedding/event, you can choose from a variety of menus with really good food. Bacon bruschetta, anyone? We were a little nervous when management changed hands but our wedding venue had nothing but praise when Empire Eats stepped in for an event when another caterer backed out. They were able to work with our dietary concerns and still provide great food. They have a good selection of wine although we provided the beer (beer snobs here). I missed the food at the cocktail hour but they were able to get me a few bites when we sat down at dinner. So glad we went with them. -

We hired Empire Eats to cater the cocktail hour and reception for our wedding on July 12, 2014. The guests would agree, all the food was fantastic! And the staff was super friendly and attentive. We decided to provide our own alcohol and, for a small corkage fee, Empire Eats chilled and transported all of beverages to the venue. They even took the left over drinks back to their headquarters for us to pick up at our convenience. Another perk: If you book both Empire Eats and All Saint's Chapel (as we did), you get a discount on the venue :) -

Incredible catering team for our special day!
If you’re looking for wedding catering in Raleigh, I cannot recommend Empire Eats Catering highly enough.
From start to finish, their team was absolutely incredible—professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. The execution on the wedding day itself was seamless, and their staff brought such a calm, capable energy that made everything feel easy.
And the food… wow. We went with a pulled pork slider bar and mac & cheese, and it was an absolute hit. The pork was perfectly tender and flavorful, the sliders were fun and crowd-pleasing, and the mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and delicious.
If you want catering that delivers both amazing food and an exceptional experience, Empire Eats is it. They truly elevated our wedding day. -

We ultimately had a very good experience with Empire, but some of the communication was a little rocky. We had a bit of trouble communicating with the right people at first - it seemed that someone may have left the company while working with us or something like that, and there was a pretty big change in the menu they were offering that we weren't made aware of when we started working with the new person. Our options ended up being a bit more limited than we had expected because of this. However, we did have a an amazing tasting at Gravy early on in the process, and things were smooth once we got the menu nailed down. Empire was also very helpful in allowing us to store our alcohol with them to be chilled a few days before the wedding. The food at the cocktail hour and reception was really delicious (shrimp skewers, meatballs, deviled eggs, artichoke chicken from Sitti) and the service was great. I wish I lived in town so I could eat at the affiliated restaurants more often! -

My husband and I had a really good experience with Empire Eats Catering. The team worked with us to customize the flow of the space from a ceremony setting to cocktails to dinner to dancing. The staff worked swiftly to execute a change-over from ceremony to reception seating and was very helpful in serving our guests and cleaning up our space. The service was on the pricier side, but it was worth the excellent service and delicious food. Empire Eats Catering was helpful and suggestive for our linen rentals and food choices but also allowed us to make the ultimate decisions without being pushy. Even when we found out that our main contact from the Company was no longer employed there, the staff and managers of Empire Eats worked swiftly to transition our account to another representative and ensure that our wedding was executed without a hitch. -

Good food, poor communication
Empire Eats fulfilled their obligation in providing good food to our guests, and the day-of serving staff was great, but if we were to do it over again we would hope to find someone more communicative and professional, especially for the price range this company charges. We first met with EE 10 months before our wedding. We informed them then that our venue did not have a kitchen and required food to be prepared off-site. They said multiple times that their only requirement was a covered area for serving, which we had, so we developed a menu we were excited about and went ahead and booked.
Everything seemed great until 3 weeks before the wedding when we sent them our venue layout, and they seemed shocked to see no kitchen. They simply responded that this would be a "big problem" and did not offer any attempt at a solution; we found this very unprofessional, making this the client's problem. There was no resolution until we got our venue coordinator involved to explain how other caterers work there. Our coordinator also told us then that she had previously set up 3 meetings with EE where they would have discussed the layout, but they had cancelled on her last-minute all 3 times. We ended up having to make several changes to the menu. The food they were able to provide turned out well, but had we known up front that we couldn't have our original choices and that they were going to put us through this stress right before the wedding, we would have gone with one of the numerous other caterers we talked to that do not have the same restrictions. -

We chose Empire Eats because they're the catering arm for The Pit. It's our favorite BBQ in the area, and we wanted it for our wedding. Don't get me wrong...the food was great.
When we started working with them, the original catering coordinator was extremely difficult to work with. We continually had to remind her about the details of our wedding. Two weeks before the big day, she was fired. The only way we found out was by calling to setup an appointment to go over final day-of details.
We gave the catering manager our timeline of when everything needs to be setup, tables broken down, slicing of the cake and when everything needs to be cleaned up. It was a very specific timeline since we had a lot of family there with younger kids. They couldn't stay the whole time, and we wanted them be there for the dance.
A lot of issues arose on the day-of:
1. The plate settings weren't set when the ceremony was over so they made people wait outside prior to dinner. Not a huge deal because we had a cocktail hour. We found out later the utensils were not what we ordered.
2. After dinner, the catering manager left halfway through the event and had another manager fill in...we never met with her before about the timeline.
3. When the dinner was over, we were waiting for the tables to be moved to make room on the dance floor. Our job was not to tell the caterers what to do. We had to look for the caterers to move the tables. The workers were actually eating our food in the back room when they were supposed to be moving the tables.
4. After the dance came the cake cutting. They were supposed to move the cake back to the cocktail area. Once again, we had to find them.
5. After the wedding, the final bill came through, and we found a $500 discrepency that we found after paying.
Hiring someone to manage the timeline and catering services is so the bride and groom can enjoy themselves. If redoing, we would hire another catering company. They need a lot of improvement. -
