In short, Emma is extraordinary. She has rolled with the punches through this pandemic, including our venue switch from an established location to a backyard DIY wedding. Throughout the past year, Emma has kept us informed on Covid guidelines, has been a friend to vent to and has truly become family. Her professionalism and experience made our special day seamless. We already knew it would be nothing less than perfect with Emma as our photographer. It was like having a friend photograph you - comfortableness, laughs, and fun. She is SO much more than a photographer and deserves all the recognition in the world for being an amazing human being! We could not have imagined our day without her. She also blended so well with our family and friends! Katie, the second photographer that joined forces with Emma the day of our wedding (fabulous duo) was also a pleasure to work with and meshed right in with the group. We were glad she could join in on our day with Emma! We knew from the beginning that Emma Thurgood Photography was the perfect fit for us and our wedding day. We will now be looking for a million reasons to refer her to family and friends and photograph all future life events we have to look forward to! Thank you so much Emma, we love you!!!! -

Emma is absolutely amazing! From the moment we met her I knew she was going to be our wedding photographer. The whole process was amazing and seamless start to finish. Emma communicated throughout everything and even when we had a few hiccups with the venue, Emma jumped in to take care of it so that we didn't have to stress about anything. She truly shows that she cares about making your wedding day the best day ever, and makes your feel comfortable and worry-free. Emma was super accommodating and made sure we got photos of everything that was important to us, while also throwing in her creativite ideas of shots of her own that are truly breathtaking. I look through our wedding pictures often and are taken away by how beautiful they all came out. I also love the funny candid shots that she got of everyone at the wedding, it's fun to go back and see everyone have such a good time and being able to relive the day again.
We also ordered a wedding album through Emma and her layout and creativity of it was just so beautiful. The way it is organized makes it really feel like I'm reliving that day over again. It's nice to get a glimpse of all the photos from getting ready in the begining of the day, to ending the night off with our sparkler send off. Emma sent proofs of the album over ahead of time to make sure I was happy with it, and I absolutely loved how it came out. I highly suggest getting album because the day goes by so fast so having the photos to look back on again is so worth it. Everything about Emma is exactly what you need for your wedding day as she will take care of you, your wedding party, and make sure everything is as perfect as can be so that you can just enjoy your day. Emma is amazing, and an absolute pleasure to work with! Her photos are beautiful and creative, and we have sooo many gorgeous photos from our wedding day! She is very professional and responsive, and kept in touch with us regularly leading up to the wedding (particularly once the COVID crisis started becoming a factor in our day, she was regularly monitoring all the restrictions/rules in CT and keeping us up to date). We were forced to postpone our big celebration due to COVID, but didn't know up until about 9 days before our original date if we could still do our small ceremony, and Emma was really supportive and went with all the crazy flow with us. We ended up having the most beautiful day, and the best part is we get to work with her again for our full reception in 2021! Thanks so much, Emma! -

Emma was so fun to work with! She had great ideas, didn't freak out when one of my bridesmaids almost passed out mid-photoshoot, and multiple people mentioned afterwords that she looked like she was having fun and loved what she was doing 100%. Her work is beautiful; I fell in love from the moment I first visited her website. The turnover was amazing on the photos, too; we received them so quickly after the wedding and they were stunning! Safe to say we made an excellent choice to have her at our wedding! -

Perfect All Around!
Emma was absolutely amazing! She photographed our engagement photos and our wedding. She completely captured our essence, professional, friendly, and an overall pleasure to work with! She is extremely talented and we have always been over the moon with her work. She also made herself available to us and was flexible with meeting our needs. Overall she was a dream to work with and we are so glad she captured not only our engagement photos, but our wedding photos as well. -

Emma was a pleasure to work with. We had many bumps, and through it all, she was there and worked with us. Her packages are very reasonable for everything that she does and includes for you. And most importantly, she blends in seamlessly into your wedding, so you don't feel like you have a camera on you the entire time, which makes you feel comfortable. -

I am so glad we found Emma! She is so nice, easy to work with, and responsive to emails and questions you have! She did our engagement photos as well as our wedding and they came out beautifully! She really goes above and beyond, like climbing down a hill to stand in weeds, to get the perfect shot! I would 100% recommend Emma! -

Sarah Sent on 01/17/2018Let me start by saying what a delight Emma was from our first consolation and even after the wedding. She always arrived on location early so she could scope out the space for potential photographs and check the lighting situations. She made herself available through multiple means so I could easily reach her when I needed to. Emma even managed to get my grumpy husband to smile in photos, not an easy task! My photos were made available to me when they were expected to and I never had to hunt her down for them. I am not a person that is comfortable in front of a camera but Emma made it so easy for us to relax. If you're looking for a funny, sweet, and talented photographer look no further! -
