The staff at Emma had us ready to go up to 1 year before our big day. My wedding planner was able to easily coordinate specific details of the day to each of the drivers. Our plans were executed flawlessly from before our ceremony until our reception ended. We’d recommend them for any big event! -

We wanted to keep everyone safe throughout the night so Emma Bus Lines picked people up at the hotel in Asheville, brought people to the ceremony and reception in Waynesville and dropped everyone back off in Asheville so we could keep the party going. We picked this company for their fun school buses and we are so glad we did!
Their customer service is outstanding! Throughout our ever changing guest count, several of the staff members at Emma Bus Line answered all my questions, explain payment options and called to review everything before the day of the wedding!
Their services transporting our (drunk) family and friends safely to and from the wedding venue was even more important. They took very good care of our family members, and provided a service that we believe necessary for a wedding serving alcohol. Nothing is more important than the safe travels.
And their school buses were a HUGE talking point at the wedding- everyone loved them and the nostalgia they felt talking over seats like they did in grad school! Go with Emma Bus Line! Go with the school buses!

My bridal client hired Emma Bus Line Co to transport their guests from Holiday Inn Asheville to Longleaf Vineyards (formally Fontaine Vineyards) and it was fantastic. Carmen the driver was polite and on time - and the bus was clean and nostalgic feeling - whens the last time you rode a school bus? Highly recommend using them for your next function.

Tabitha Sent on 09/22/2016We used Emma Bus Line for our September wedding in Asheville. They picked our guests up downtown and transported them to Addison Farms Vineyard in Leicester. It worked out perfect! They stayed ahead of schedule, the drivers were very professional and friendly and all my guests were very satisfied with the services! Communication throughout the whole process was easy and response time was very quick. We originally started working with another transportation company. But it was taking way too long to get through to them, the contract was falling apart and they kept changing our schedule. We were then referred to Emma Bus Line and within hours they had our schedule and contract all worked out with no problems! We couldn't have been more satisfied with them. Thanks for taking care of our guests on our big day! -

We hired Emma Bus Lines to transport our guests from downtown Asheville to Leicester for our wedding (30 minute drive). This was very important to us as we had an open bar and did not want guests drinking and driving. The employees in the office (Becky & Susan) were a pleasure to work with. Our only complaint is that one of the buses broke down on the way to our wedding. This is somewhat understandable as it can happen to anyone. However, my guests told me that the same bus driver also got lost and did not know how to get to our venue. I would expect bus drivers to know where they are going ahead of time and not get lost. A backup bus was provided in a timely fashion but our wedding started 30 minutes late because of this. Thankfully on the day of the wedding, I was not aware that we were starting late as my family and friends wanted to keep me calm. We did have to pay a tip up front which was slgihtly disappointing because one of the drivers got lost. I would still recommend hiring Emma Bus Lines and keep your guests safe. Just be aware that things can go wrong. -

I booked Emma Bus Lines because my venue mentioned them as a cost effective transportation option and a small local business to support. I booked a large bus and a mini bus. Well, the large bus broke down on the side of a rural road late at night with my guests on it. These things can happen; however, I feel that this was completely avoidable and that the company did not handle the issue well. First of all, apparently the bus was struggling on the way in and barely made it up the venue's driveway to begin with. This should have been the first sign to have another bus on standby or just go ahead and replace it during the wedding. Secondly, while the bus was waiting at the venue through the wedding, it was leaking a lot of coolant in it's parking spot. Again, you'd think folks that professionally manage vehicles and transportation would see that there was an issue/risk. Our guests told the driver when they got back on at the end of the night that something is wrong with the bus but apparently the driver said 'no it's fine because it's not overheating according to the gauge'... Well surprise, they broke down at a gas station a few miles down the road and some guests driving by (including father of the groom) pulled over and picked up some of the guests. The company claims they had another bus in 30 minutes but my guests who had to stay on said it was closer to 45 minutes. Oh well, I don't have proof of that. I waited to see if they would ever reach out to me after the wedding to express apologies for the inconvenience. Well they never reached out to me even though it was all my info + signature on the contract and I coordinated the booking. They said they left a voicemail apologizing to my dad but he said that was only after he called and left a voicemail expressing disappointment of the service. So a couple of weeks after we got back from our honeymoon, I reached out to say I was disappointed in the service and that no one reached out to me to apologize afterwards and asked if there was anything they could do to make it right such as a 25% refund of the 1 bus's fee (which feels like a small gesture for the inconvenience). I was met with essentially 'we're sorry but things happen that are out of our control, obviously we didn't breakdown on purpose, we got a replacement bus in 30 minutes so according to the contract we don't owe you anything'. We made an effort to patron small local businesses for our entire wedding and were met with welcoming open arms and people/families who pride themselves in their services and have a passion for their business/industry. Obviously that was not our experience with this vendor. I am still giving 2 stars because the 2nd mini bus successfully got guests there and back with no hiccups (that I know of). -

I do appreciate Emma Bus Line's helpfulness with arranging a pickup location in downtown Hendersonville that was convenient for all of our guests, but I was extremely disappointed with their service the day of the wedding. The driver was late to pick up our guests to bring them to our venue. I paid for two trips at the end of the night (one departing at 10pm and one at 11pm). The driver did not leave for the first trip until 1030pm and she never came back for the second trip, even though we had guests waiting. I called her and she claimed that someone told her that she did not need to return. Neither myself or my wedding coordinator told her that so the fact that she decided not to stick to the itinerary just because of something that a random individual told her is unacceptable. My husband and I were extremely disappointed and found ourselves scrambling to get our guests home safely instead of heading out to enjoy our wedding night. -

If I could give them zero stars I would. My wedding was at the top of a mountain in Asheville, NC. Emma Bus Line assured me from day one that they would be able to get my guests up the mountain. We contracted them for 60-70 people in a single school bus. However, come the day up my 80 year old grandmother, a 7 month pregnant friend, and several family members with young children had to hike up the remaining portion of the mountain because the bus "couldn't make it". At the end of the night, I ended up having to order $100 worth of Ubers to get all of my guests home because Emma Bus Line claimed they could only fit 45 people into their bus home. Needless to say they were the worst and I would never recommend them, not even to my worst enemy.
