Emily did an incredible job capturing our wedding day (and our engagement photos too!). From Day 1 of working with Emily it was clear she was truly invested in getting to know us as a couple. She was there every step of the way to help with planning to make sure that our wedding day went smoothly and that we maximized time for photos as well as getting to actually enjoy our wedding! She was game for all of our ideas and photo locations, going the extra mile to help scout out good backdrops to get the perfect lake and mountain vibes we wanted. Every single photo is worthy of framing which is pretty rare, but goes to show how talented Emily is and how hard she works in editing to get you a final product to be proud of. 10000/10, absolutely recommend choosing Emily for your wedding/engagement/family photos! -

We hired Emily for our fall wedding in the Adirondacks in New York. We also had a separate engagement shoot with her as part of that the day before our wedding.
I'll start by getting straight to the point- Emily was the perfect photographer for our wedding and for us. If I thought it was at all wise I would put my phone number on here and just say call me and I'll tell you why you should hire her. Her photography speaks for itself and she captured more perfect, hang-on-the-wall, share-with-your-kids-and-grandkids, moments than I ever thought we'd get. The main thing for me was that almost from the outset it didn't seem like we found a photographer it felt like we just had a really close friend we'd asked to photograph our wedding. Her first questions weren't about what shots we wanted (though she of course covers all of that in detail), but more about how we met, what our love story was, and what we wanted our wedding to feel like. The execution on the day of the wedding was perfection. Emily was on top of everything and worked seamlessly with our other vendors, it honestly felt as though they'd all worked together constantly rather than just having met.
We also did an engagement shoot with Emily and she drove all the way up to the top of Whiteface Mountain (quite a trek) to get our pictures with the fall foliage. She will really go above and beyond to make your dream setting work. Not to mention that she got most of the shots from that day back to us THE NEXT DAY, that's insane.
I'm running out of superlatives so let me just summarize with- at the very least talk with Emily and feel her energy and her warmth. And I hope you're lucky enough to work with her. -

Planning a wedding can be so stressful...there are so many details to think about, so many opinions, and there can be a lot of pressure for only a few hours.
At the end of the day what matters most is capturing those precious moments in photos.
I had searched through so many instagrams looking for the right photographer and when I stumbled on Emily's through an old classmates, I knew my searching was over.
There is no better way to describe Emily than an artist. Her use of color, her eye for details, the way she effortlessly captures moments is an art form.
Emily instantly makes you feel comfortable, you forget there is a camera there. She has the ability to capture true organic moments, nothing overly posed.
She is just amazing.
The easiest decision in our wedding planning process. We love Emily so much and are so blessed we were able to have her be a part of our day and make it so special. -

I could not recommend Emily fast enough to another couple. Whether you’re looking to get engaged, elope, married or just have some family photos Emily is absolutely your girl. She is so kind, organized and an absolute master of her craft. She takes the time to get to know her couples and went out of her way to make sure that our shoot was exactly as I had envisioned it. Unfortunately I was a COVID bride and we ended up cancelling our wedding, but our engagement photos will always be some of my absolute favorites. Amazing!!!
Emily shot our engagement and wedding photos and from the very beginning of meeting her we knew she was going to be amazing. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and was so involved the entire time. Her attention to special details, kindness, organization, and true talent made our photography experience enjoyable and relaxed. Emily is sweet, involved, thorough, and most importantly, incredibly talented. Our pictures from our engagement shoot and our wedding will be ones we cherish forever and we have Emily to thank for that. The best photographer!!
Emily is truly the best wedding photographer I could have ever asked for! I can’t recommend her enough. Included with our package we got an engagement session and she spent a lot of time getting to know us to really understand what we were looking for in our photos. If you are camera shy or don’t know what poses will look the best she will tell you exactly what to do for natural flattering pictures. She is not only such a talented photographer, she is such a kind soul and has become a close friend!! If you are looking for moody golden hour photos she is your girl! -

Emily Watkins is absolutely amazing!
From the very first phone call to engagement photos to the wedding day, working with Emily was an absolute pleasure. I knew that we booked with the right person when I received a surprise present at my door from Emily. She made us feel so special and loved with her thoughtfulness from the very beginning. Before having our engagement photos taken, I had never had professional pictures taken before and I was actually really nervous. Emily made having those picture taken so easy and FUN! She coaches you on what to do while still leaving things spontaneous and captures all the wonderful moments. Leading up to the wedding day, Emily was always available to chat if I had a question or needed advise. I knew that our wedding pictures were going to be wonderful (because seriously look at her work - amazing!) but what I didn't know was how much more Emily was going to add to our day. She helped keep us on pace with timing in a calm and relaxed way and, most importantly, she fit right in with our friends and family. From day one, I felt like Emily was a friend and having her with us on our wedding day definitely made it a perfect day. No one could have captured the moments more perfectly. Every single picture she took is our favorite one and I know that when we look at our pictures in many years from now they will bring us right back to that day as if no time has passed at all. -

Emily made our day so special
I cannot say enough positive things about Emily, she was such a gem to work with! My husband and I are not big on getting photos taken of ourselves but Emily made us feel so comfortable. We were afraid we would look awkward and posed but that was not the case! Our photos look natural and candid, Emily had us laughing with each other all day long. We are so grateful for her and we will treasure these images for the rest of our lives! -

The best of the best!
Emily is an absolute professional - we had an engagement shoot and our wedding photographed by her and I can not say enough good things! From the beginning of the process (and candidly, before we had even officially booked with her) Emily made us feel so comfortable and like we were her only client - she took so much time to talk through what we were looking for and made sure we were having fun along the way. She offers a range of fairly priced packages dependent on what you are looking for, which scaled perfectly for our small wedding but would also support a big one!
She showed up to our engagement shoot (after navigating two cancellations on our part and recommending additional options/helping us book) on time ready to go and playing our favorite music to help us (two admittedly picture awkward humans) feel comfortable. She had sneak peeks of the pictures to me within two hours. This girl is unreal!
Emily had another call with me before the wedding to talk through what special moments we wanted captured and - when I say that she just gets it - she really does. Every photo she sent to me of the wedding was exactly what we were looking for and edited to perfection. She was kind, supportive, and filled in so many details for me that I didn't even know i needed.
PS - two hours after my wedding I had 30-40 sneak peeks. AMAZING!
In summary? Book your events with Emily. And do it asap, because there are so many lucky couples trying to beat you to it :) -

The best of the best
Emily is the absolute sweetest human being and BEST photographer. Do not even hesitate in booking her. She shot my wedding day and made all my dreams come true when it comes to having precious photographs for memories. I wouldn’t want anyone else sharing those intimate moments with me. She is so personable and helpful. I met her for the first time the morning of my wedding day, but I felt like I already knew her because she reached out by phone calls, texts, emails many times prior to the day to ensure everything went smoothly and exactly how I wanted it. She made it easy to pose and feel genuinely ourselves while being photographed. I highly recommend her for any photography needs. -
