Emily was fantastic to work with from initial call to ongoing planning emails and day of. I enjoyed her laid back energy yet sharp and practical personality. Her photographer had an artistic perspective which we liked, a bit less run of the mill from the other photographers we looked at. Day of, her calm yet energetic presence before, during and after the ceremony was a great addition to our wedding party. I knew she could manage the people and long list of photos with ease. We also loved our couple photo time with just us and Emily between ceremony and reception, it was comfortable to have her part of our intimate bliss as newlyweds. We are thrilled with our photos too having just received them and sorting through the hundreds (thousands?) of them. Would recommend Emily to other couples and others hosting events or celebrating milestones and seeking photos. -

Amazing Photographer!
Booking Emily was one of the best decisions my wife and I made when planning our wedding.
Before the wedding her communication was excellent, she eased our nerves at the pre-shoot and was always on-hand to answer any questions we had. On the day itself, she was more than just our photographer; she gave welcome direction, adjusted my veil, fixed my husband’s tie, ran around in the heat, and so much more! We honestly believe the day wouldn’t have run as smoothly and calmly without her.
On top of all of that, the photos she’s captured for us are incredible. Somehow, she seemed to be in four places at once and photographed the whole day perfectly. Not only have we received hundreds of photos of our guests having an amazing time, she’s also captured the smaller details – the details you spend months/years planning that get lost on the day.
Nearly every one of our guests has commented on how great Emily was and this is a testament to her easy-going personality and her professionalism. If you need a wedding photographer in San Francisco or the East Bay, you should book Emily.
Thank you again, Emily, for being part of our day and capturing it so perfectly. We will treasure our photos for a lifetime. -

We had Emily cover our engagement event and she did a terrible job with both photography and videography. Overall, she lacks a lot of skills in every aspect (simple photography, videography, photo editing, taking pictures with focus). Her photography was very amateur and it definitely did not match what I saw on her portfolio. The photos itself were very blurry, not in focus, 50% of the photos had someone's head cutoff or taken from a very weird angle. The edits were even worse where she maxed out on brightness & contrast where the real colors disappeared and all you could see is white background in most pictures.
Also please note that she is not a videographer even though she says she can do videography. She does not have a very good sense of what shots to take, where to angle the camera and how to put together a decent video.
Overall, she is such a nice person but beware, her photography skills does not live up-to the standards of a "photographer" let alone "professional photographer". Don't be fooled by her website / samples she has up as that might be misleading.
