I can’t say enough amazing things about Emily. She goes above and beyond for her clients. I was definitely a very indecisive bride and pretty clueless about the whole planning process in the beginning. Hiring her for both design and planning was the best decision I made! I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without her. Emily is SO organized, professional and on top of everything. She provided me with a budget breakdown, checklists, and vendor lists, which were so helpful. On my wedding day, I had no stress because she had coordinated everything so perfectly. Everyone in my bridal party talked about how smoothly things went because of her!

As for the designing aspect, she helped me discover what I liked best and helped create a vision for my wedding. I gave her a few colors that I liked and an overall theme of “romantic”. With this, she created something absolutely incredible and beautiful. The designs and florals were just amazing. She also included me in the whole process and made sure everything was exactly how I pictured it. All of my family and friends said it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever been to and it was all thanks to her! She is truly INCREDIBLE. I couldn’t have asked for a more caring, helpful, professional and talented planner/designer. I highly recommend Emily Burton Designs to anyone! She creates dream weddings!!!

The most perfect day!

If you want your wedding to move smoothly and look fabulous all at the same time, Book Emily. We literally didn't have to lift a finger, she did all of that for us. I told her the vision I had for our wedding, from colors to theme and she exceeded our expectations. Thanks again for everything Emily!

Emily is the very best!

WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND Emily Burton Designs for planning and design of your wedding! Emily is incredibly talented, extremely knowledgable and is just as sweet as she is helpful. She was an absolutely integral part to our wedding day and we would have never pulled off our perfect day if it had not been for her. We used Emily for all of the planning and design throughout our entire engagement, and it was absolutely worth it. She provided constant encouragement, super helpful lists/guidelines/deadlines, wonderful suggestions for vendors, and even a shoulder to cry on when life became too stressful. Emily will go to bat for every client she has and treats them like family. Her design skills are incredible. Throughout the process, my ideas were all over the place, but Emily was able to take all of my rambling and turn it into a stunning wedding that was BEYOND what I could have imagined. I cannot recommend EBD enough! Emily started out as a distant family friend, and through the planning and design process, became a sweet friend who will certainly stay a part of our lives!!!

Dream come true

Do yourself a favor and hire Emily Burton to plan your wedding or event. She absolutely made my daughters wedding dreams come true while helping us stay within our budget. She is has an amazing eye for detail and her overall design was just breathtaking! Our guests were stunned at how pretty it was! She solved every problem and answered every question with a smile on her face. She is amazing and her whole team was great!

There is one planner and one planner inly

When Emily and I first met, we hit it off immediately. She listens attentively and recommends the best of the best. I always felt we were on the same page. She gets your vision and can make it happen. Not only was my wedding beyond what I had imagined, I gained a really great friend.

The Best of the Best!

Honestly, I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without two people- my now husband and Emily Burton. From the professionalism that she displays with each and every vendor to her caring heart for the bride and groom’s needs, she is the ultimate wedding planner and designer. I’ve never worked with a more selfless person in my life, and she gave my husband and me the wedding of our dreams. She kept the day of so stress free and enjoyable for both of us. Throughout the planning process, she catered to our needs as well. She is an effective communicator and ensures that the vision she creates is one that is perfect just for you. I could write a novel on her skill level and expertise. Her curated list of vendor teams were ideal for me and eliminated the normal wedding planning research that I was dreading. Hiring Emily was the best decision I made throughout the wedding planning process. I’m so glad she was with me every step of the wedding planning way. I had several friends that left the wedding saying that they would be hiring her as their wedding planner and designer in the future. What a testament to her! She’s the absolute BEST!

Furthermore, her design level is at the TOP of it’s game. She caters the design of the event to you both as a couple. From details of our first dates to our favorite foods, Emily told our story through our wedding details. She turned my venue into a dream, and she far exceeded my expectations on every level, but especially from a design standpoint. I would suggest hiring EBD prior to choosing any other vendors. Friends that have worked with other wedding planners agree. She is in a league of her own!

Thank goodness we had Emily Burton. A three-hour time difference and a job where I'm all over the place all the time aren’t conducive to a hands-on planning process for me. Emily and I had a great conversation at the onsent about this and she nailed it. I wanted a southern wedding with the best band we could find, (check) and Daniel wanted the color blue (check).

From there, she put together a night we will never forget. She worked with my mom on the details and came to me for the broader brush strokes (thank you, Emily!) and if we had our stuff done by her deadlines we were good to go. Honestly, planning was a breeze and we feel like it couldn’t have went any more smoothly.

I don't even know where to start about the day itself. The logistics were spot on. My bridesmaids all said they'd never been a part of a wedding day that flowed so smoothly. I'd agree. The anticipation built as the day got later and by go-time I was grinning from ear to ear.

I got exactly what I'd dreamed about. We made the call midday to brave the drizzle, so I could get married on that picture perfect, live-oak-covered lawn I'd been dreaming about. It made it memorable in all the right ways and now we have plenty of luck, thanks to the weather.

As for the cocktail hour and the reception, it went exactly as we were hoping! Everyone enjoyed our Moscow Mule station we had set up (Daniel’s favorite cocktail!), and the fresh
Emily Burton outdid herself with the reception tent! Everything was set up so perfect. It made walking from table to table talking with friends and family so easy. We wanted to make sure no one felt left out by appreciating them taking the time to join us on that day.

Hiring Emily to help us with our destination wedding was the best decision we made throughout the whole planning journey, hands down. Initially, considering a wedding planner and/or designer had never crossed our mind. We thought between the two of us, our friends / family, and venue and vendors, we would manage fine. It wasn't until after our first venue walkthrough that we realized the extent of work ahead of us in planning our wedding. My husband and I are both full time professionals and were concerned that we wouldn't have enough time to dedicate the right level of effort to pull off the wedding we envisioned. Nor are we particularly talented/in design or experienced in the wedding industry. The alternative at hand was then just to keep the wedding very simple. It was shortly after this walkthrough when I began digging deep into the world of Pinterest for wedding help when I stumbled upon the work of Emily Burton Designs. Immediately interested, I researched her website and reviews and before i knew it, had a phone interview scheduled to learn more. My husband and I were both immediately impressed with Emily's professionalism, organization, and experience. We were sold after the first interview and never looked back. Not only did Emily exceed our expectations in every way, we truly enjoyed working with her. We were very comfortable talking to her and asking her opinion about everything. She was always responsive (even during hurricane's and power outages :) ). Specifically during our wedding weekend, all three of our events were executed perfectly and the best part was that we were able to spend time with all of our friends / family while completely confident that everything was being handled. Emily helped execute the wedding of our dreams and made our visions come to life in a way we couldn't have imagined. Truly best in class. If you are considering wedding planning services and/or on the fence, do not look any further -- you will not be disappointed!!

Emily Burton went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was EXACTLY what we wanted! She was so caring and genuinely interested in what we wanted to make our wedding perfect! And she nailed it!!!! We had the best time and had so many people tell us how it was one of the nicest weddings they've ever been to and an event they'll never forget! Emily offered me only the best vendors to choose from for my wedding day. Her professionalism went above and beyond the call of duty. She helped put together my wedding day timeline thinking of everything along the way and the day went flawless running on time the entire day. I had a hard time getting a response from many other wedding planners in the area and she responded promptly charming us from day 1. As busy as she is with weddings and events every week, she never made me feel like any question I sent her was too minor to answer in a prompt fashion.

It's taken me a couple of weeks to gather my thoughts since my daughter's wedding. It was just like a fairytale! Everything from what we had originally envisioned for my daughter's special day truly came to life with no detail missed. I was so overwhelmed at the beautiful details Emily Burton and her design team put into our event, that I sobbed all day following the wedding, and still get emotional just talking about it. Our expectations were far exceeded and we would definitely recommend Emily Burton designs to anyone who may be planning a special event or wedding. My husband and I both reside in Chicago. We chose Savannah for our destination wedding. Furthermore, we chose to have our wedding in November. Around March we both realize there is no way we can do this on our own. That is when I sent out a number of emails and Emily responded.
Strengths 1. Vision oriented – EMD had my husband and I think beyond a color palette and look into the aspects that really mattered to us for our wedding 2. Professional – EMD showed professionalism to us, religious clergy, our vendors, and guests 3. EMD gets things done! 4. Extremely prompt and responsive. 5. Put your mind at ease - she will do whatever it takes to make sure your wedding happens how you want it. 6.Patience - We had an extremely frustrating vendor to work with and she was relentless in her pursuit for clear communication, getting questions answered, and getting to the bottom of things. 7. Bargains – Talks to vendors extensively to get you the best deals for your budget. 8. Friendly and to the point – My sister in law was not pleased with the seating arrangement and came up to Emily to see if she can get things changed around. Emily reminded her in a very professional tone that the seating chart was made by the bride and groom.
Areas of Improvement 1. First aid kit - I would suggest for future events to have a “first aid kit” with pins, spray, and anything else that may arise on the day of. 2. Writing – Emails can be more direct and clearly define action items

Emily did an amazing job with the flowers for my wedding!!! From the first time I spoke with her, I felt like she was going to do a great job. However, when I saw the flowers on the wedding day, they were even more gorgeous than what I have envisioned! All the guests at our wedding commented on how they were the most beautiful flowers they have ever seen. I was extremely happy with all of our wedding vendors, but the flowers and Emily were my absolute favorite!
Emily was wonderful to work with. I initially contacted her when I had another florist fall through on an appointment I had with them. Emily came to my rescue! Since I live out of state, Emily immediately arranged to FaceTime with me so it was as if we were sitting at a table talking.

We decided to hire a wedding planner at the last minute. Emily quickly caught up to speed and helped us finish out our plans. We had an intimate wedding with 14 guests and did not want our parents or siblings to miss any important moments of the day. Emily went above and beyond to make sure I had exactly what I wanted for our wedding day! If you want someone that listens to you and responds back timely this is the designer to chose. She made sure to get a thorough understanding of our vision. She immediately gave me a vision board and it had just what we wanted. She did a walk through of the ceremony and venue locations to familiarize herself of the places that she would be decorating and designing for. She made her notes of what we discussed and she prevailed the day of the wedding. She even added some extras! She will go above and beyond what you can imagine. Emily and her team were absolutely incredible! From day one and all throughout the planning process, Emily was always reachable, quick to respond, and quick to assure me that she would make sure our big day would go off without a hitch. That's exactly what she did! I shared my vintage, garden-themed ideas with her, and she managed to draw from those 3 words and turn them into pure magic! From linen selections to perfectly placed floral arrangements, her design concept captured everything I couldn't put into words. Better yet, she brought my ideas to life in a way that was even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. My bouquet was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, and the ceremony and reception decor were spot-on with my vision (but her enhancements and personal touches took my breath away). She saved the day when it came to my original linens falling through at the last minute and took it upon herself to handle that aspect (all the while keeping me cool, calm, and collected). The linens she chose were even more beautiful than the first round of linens I had chosen with another company. It's so important to have someone you trust wholeheartedly who can make important decisions on your behalf when last minute problems arise, and I'm so thankful Emily was this person for me! As if her work doesn't speak enough for itself, her personality and genuine love for the industry and for her brides is absolutely refreshing. Emily, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day perfect!

I booked Emily as my florist and wedding planner for the rehearsal dinner and the day of the wedding. I have absolutely NOTHING bad to say about her. I am actually blown away by how amazing Emily and her team was. It was sunny all day during my wedding but then right before the ceremony it stormed, bad. But somehow, some way, Emily and her team made my wedding day PERFECT. Not to mention I had a specific vision for the floral part of the wedding and she hit it SPOT ON. I mean, my flowers were EXACTLY what I pictured in my head and even more. Whoever is looking for a wedding planner and a florist, you are making a HUGE mistake if you do not choose Emily. Plus, two vendors in one makes the planning process much easier! THANK YOU EMILY!!!

Emily was great to work with from the initial phone call, to the walk through and finally the wedding! What I loved most about Emily and her team were that they were able to take my vision and create my dream wedding which wasn't easy since I asked for a winter glam wedding meets the twilight saga wedding :). I also had a last minute ceremony venue change and Emily was more then happy to change details to coordinate with the new space. I completely trusted Emily and on top of that, she is an extremely sweet person! All of the bouquets were beautiful!!! She really captured everything I had wanted. Her team went above and beyond and collected everything for me at the end of the night and brought it all to the bridal suite. I would highly recommend her!

I had such a great experience with Emily Burton Designs. Emily did a beautiful job at recreating my space and walking me through every detail. I did not hire her as my on-site coordinator but if I can do it again I will this time!!! She took away all my stress and I couldn’t ask for a prettier bouquet. Our center pieces were over the top. I also appreciated the time she spent me. We spoke several times leading up to my wedding. EMILY BURTON DESIGNS is EXCELLENT!!! She is an answered prayer.

Emily is one of those people who love every minute of what they do and it shows in her work. She went above and beyond anything we could of asked for. We had events over three days and she put her heart and soul in each one to make them each special and unique. She looked at every little detail, things I would of never thought of, to take it to the next level. Working with Emily is like working with a close friend!

Emily Burton Designs can do pretty much anything! Besides planning and coordinating our wedding, so it went of without a hitch, they also did our flowers, did custom wood artwork and provided us with some stunning decor! The flowers, oh my goodness, the flowers, they were just beyond amazing. I wish I could put pictures, she surprised me at our reception by taking a three tired stone water fountain that sat in them middle of the courtyard at our venue and filled it with flowers, just beautiful and another thing she did to just make the day more special than it already was. If I ever threw out an idea or something that I thought would be cool, Emily and her team found it or found someone who could make it. I really got everything I wanted for our wedding and so much more!

I can't rave enough about Emily and her design team! Emily went above and beyond from start to finish. We had a long distance wedding, so on numerous occasions she even skyped with us to make us feel like she was with us every step of the way. She far exceeded my expectations for my dream wedding I envisioned! The attention to detail that she brings in her design is what separates her from the rest. She takes the time to get to know you and puts her heart into all her work, which is something that I didn't experience with other vendors. Our wedding wasn't just another event. With Emily, I felt like our wedding was her ONLY event!

Emily Burton Deisgns is AMAZING!!! Emily was my absolute favorite vendor of all the vendors that I used for my wedding. It feels weird calling her a vendor because I truly feel like I have made a friend for life. From the very beginning of the process, Emily was awesome. My wedding was out of town and I needed someone who could handle florals as well as overall design and decor. I interviewed three other "design teams" and Emily was the only one who was willing to work within my budget. The others kept telling me that my "taste was too expensive for my budget". Emily, however, worked with me and suggested less expensive flowers or decor that would still be beautiful. I am not the typical bride in that I did not have a folder or Pinterest page of wedding ideas. Emily was sooo patient and helped me develop my overall theme. I even changed my wedding colors halfway through and she never got frustrated with me. She was truly amazing. Emily was the one vendor that I totally and completely trusted. My wedding was supposed to be outside; however, when the forecast started to predict rain, Emily went to my backup indoor venue room for me since I was out of town!!! She calmly called me and already had ideas for decorating the indoor backup room which turned out perfect! Just before the wedding Emily revealed the reception room to me and I literally cried!!! It was BEYOND AMAZING AND OVER THE TOP!!! She totally took everything that I said I wanted and made it absolutely breathtaking! Everyone is still talking about how beautiful the flowers and decor were. Working with Emily Burton Designs has been the highlight of my whole wedding planning process. She is professional, totally gifted, and tons of fun! All of my friends commented that I seemed so relaxed before the wedding. And, I was because I totally trusted Emily. I knew it would be beautiful....and it was!!!

Emily did the flowers and decor for our River House wedding and I just can't say enough wonderful things about her! From the very start she showed a true commitment to making sure she understood my vision. In fact, after describing just a few ideas to her over the phone, I think my vision was more clear to her than to me. Emily was responsive, professional, and warm every time we were in contact. Because we had a destination wedding, all of our contact was over the phone or via email prior to the wedding. Emily made this super easy and made me feel very comfortable with each step we took in planning. Our flowers and decor came out absolutely stunning. Emily worked to creatively to enhance our venue while keeping an elegant and timeless look. I would absolutely recommend Emily!

Emily is such a sweet, helpful, and creative person. I started working with Emily 6 months before the wedding, and even though I was planning the wedding from a distance, Emily was always very easily accessible and communication was effortless. Emily was on the same wavelength as me in regard to the style for our wedding and the feel that we were going for. She provided me with creative ideas and the flower arrangements turned out amazing! Tyson and I feel so blessed to have had the privilege of working with Emily on our wedding day! Emily is fantastic. Not only did she make sure that the our vision for our day was captured perfectly, but she went above and beyond to see that the wedding had unique, special touches that made the day a complete celebration of the bride and groom. Our floral arrangements were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Just perfect -- we still have guests commenting on how gorgeous they were! Also, our whole wedding day was so stress-free thanks to Emily's organization and time management skills (which was the part I was most grateful for!) -- From the big wedding day moments to the smallest of details, she makes sure that everything goes off without a hitch. It is hard to describe in words the amazing job Emily Burton and her company Emily Burton Designs did to bring my wedding vision to life. As a customer, I was beyond thrilled with Emily's work. As someone with no event designing experience, I was blown away by the talent that Emily Burton Designs offers.

First and foremost, Emily is a wonderful, professional person to work with. Upon our first meeting, she really listened to what I wanted and helped guide me toward ideas that were out of the box and ahead of the trends. I was introduced to Emily through my wedding coordinator, Terri Gilbreath from G.G. Events. Emily worked seamlessly with Terri to map out and design the perfect wedding design for me.

Additionally, the attention to detail Emily provided was beyond any expectations I could imagine. Within a smaller than average budget, Emily produced (in my opinion), the most beautiful, picturesque wedding reception imaginable. Upon my arrival at the reception, I noticed certain details executed that I had offhandedly emailed to Emily over the course of my one year wedding planning timeframe. From the bouquets, to the corsages, to the Bride and Groom chairs, to the table settings...everything was absolutely perfect. Her florist arrangements were the most beautiful works of art I have ever seen. Not to mention, Emily was there from early in the day to set up and came back after the reception ended to clean everything up and bring all the arrangements inside to the house where the reception was being held for my family and I to enjoy throughout the next week. She worked tirelessly, endlessly, and her passion for her work was eminent throughout.

I would highly recommend Emily Burton Designs to anyone looking for a phenomenal florist and/or event designer. Emily is the best and I feel so honored to have her work displayed at my wedding!

Emily was amazing in every way. Leading up to the event she made sure to communicate with me on a regular basis and ask important questions to ensure my vision showed through in the design and floral arrangements. She was always organize, professional, and just a pleasure to spend time with.

Emily brought all my dreams to reality...and her creativity even brought dreams I didn't know I had to reality. She created a space that I never could have imagined - combining my vision of gold with the ambiance of Dubai (where I grew up!). And what is even more impressive is that on the day of my wedding there was an 80% chance of rain and Emily moved the entire reception inside. It was so perfect that my guests didn't even realize that it was ever planned any other way. Emily totally went with the flow on my wedding day but kept everyone and everything in line that it was just perfect.

Emily and her team were absolutely incredible and surpassed every expectation. She's quick to respond. I never waited over 24 hours for a callback. She matched and surpassed our vision for the ceremony design by carefully asking questions and drawing the vision out of us. We weren't the easiest of clients. We made changes at the last minute, and without blinking an eye she changed the necessary revisions. Emily carefully designed a plan that matched our budget and blew us away with the outcome. I HIGHLY recommend her and endorse her team without reservation. I'd use her again and again and again without any hesitation. She's nothing short of fabulous!

Emily Burton Designs planned my entire wedding from beginning to end; flowers, caterer, DJ, everything. Emily and her team were able to coordinate the event even though I was 6 hours away from the event location. The Wedding was beautiful, and Emily's patience in dealing with arrangements long-distance was outstanding. Meeting and getting to know Emily and her husband was a blessing to us, and Emily's courtesy and professionalism was very calming during all of our pre-wedding jitters!!! And the Flowers!!!!! Everyone at our wedding, without exception, commented on the beauty and uniqueness of the arrangements, including the Scottish thistle which she placed in the bouquets and boutiniers acknowledging our Celtic theme. What she accomplished with Hydrangea and Roses was truly amazing...Absolutely Wonderful!!!!!!

All I had to do was give Emily my vision. I showed her lots of pictures but then explained that I wanted my wedding to be personal and unique. Emily delivered both of these aspects! She not only used the items I wanted but handled them with the utmost care as many were heirlooms. Emily was very easy to contact throughout the entire process and helpful when I had any questions or changed my mind. She was also very honest as to what flowers and greenery I could use during my event and did not make promises that she could not keep. When it rained at my wedding she was already on top of things and relocated the beautiful creations when needed. I still have several of her creations displayed in my home and will be able to keep them for years! I would highly recommend Emily and her team for any event! I plan on using her again just for fun as I love her designs!

Emily and her staff were AMAZING! If you're looking for someone who is easy to work with, knows their stuff, and puts in 110% throughout the entire process, she's your girl! My main goal was to keep my wedding as stress-free as possible... which sounds impossible, especially when fashion and decorating aren't your thing. However, after the first time I spoke with Emily, I knew I had nothing to worry about. The way she gets to know you and your idea of the perfect wedding is so convenient. It was as easy as sharing my wedding Pintrest board, a few emails, and a few phone conversations, and VOILA! My wedding was even more beautiful that I had ever imagined! She was able to roll with the punches, be flexible with my changing and adding of ideas, and stay excited and positive throughout the entire process. Not many florist/decor professionals would be happy to carve pumpkins to use for floral arrangements - nor would they take extra time to go to the venue, take a look around, and make adjustments to the initial plan to go better with the landscape. What an amazing wedding day Emily Burton and her team were able to make a reality for our daughter, Olivia, and her groom, Andrew! Their wedding was held at The Jekyll Island Club Hotel Riverfront, a venue she had recommended and we had visited several years ago. The beautiful old Hotel and grounds were the prefect setting for their wedding. We met Emily there several times prior to the wedding discussing catering options, floral designs, wedding sites, and reservations for our guests. Emily was able to coordinate every detail and our daughter's wishes for her perfect wedding day! Her floral bouquets were so beautiful and unusual. She personally selects and designs the floral bouquets and table arrangements for each event. A friend commented about how relaxed I was all weekend. I never thought relaxing and wedding were two words you would ever see in the same sentence, but because of Emily I was able to relax and enjoy the whole wedding weekend!! Emily was so wonderful! I told her my flowers ideas for the wedding and reception and she understood and stayed within my budget. After I hired her she sent me a sweet note about how excited she was to be a part of my wedding day. She arrived with the flowers when she was supposed to on the wedding day and they looked perfect. I was not in the hotel room when she delivered all the flowers and she came to the hotel hair salon, where I was getting my hair done, to tell me about the flowers and wish we a wonderful wedding day. I loved working with Emily, she is such a sweetheart. Being a destination wedding, I mostly worked with her via lots of emails and phone calls, which scared me a little because I was worried she wouldn't get my vision for my wedding. Boy was I wrong! Emily went above an beyond to make sure everything was perfect! Not only was it everything I wanted, but it was better. She is so creative and easy to work with, even my wedding coordinator kept saying how wonderful she was and how she went above what a typical "florist" would do. Emily helped set up everything rather than just dropping all the flowers off. The flowers were beautiful and fresh, lasting not only for the entire wedding but for days later! I hired Emily Burton of Blush 129 inc, in October for my December 1st wedding. Initially, I thought I could pull my wedding together with help from family and friends but with the guest count at nearly 400, I had a last minute realization that I needed help...and fast! Hiring a wedding planner, a very talented one at that, was by far the best decision I made (other than marrying my sweetheart of course)! With not much time on our side, Emily went right to work planning my long dreamed about day and making sure that every little detail I had envisioned was included, making my wedding truly feel like a dream come true. Emily’s professionalism, preparation and attention to detail was astounding. She had so many wonderful ideas, suggestions, and advice on making my dream a reality all while keeping us within budget...that’s no easy task! She was hands on with every detail from painting and staining to hammering and hanging, Emily was always ready and willing to roll up her sleeves to get the job done. Everything flowed so smoothly during the wedding and reception that my husband, myself, our family and friends only seemed to have one thing in mind...having a good time! My only regret was choosing a local florist instead of Emily for my arrangements. When the hired florist dropped off boxes full of the wrong flowers and arrangements and then left, Emily very calmly went right to work doing what she could to put together last minute bouquets and arrangements. Her calm demeanor and reassurance helped keep me calm in return as well as focused on what really mattered that day. I not only had the perfect wedding I gained a friend for life. Thanks again Blush 129, inc, you made my wedding better than I could have ever imagined and for that I’ll be forever grateful!

I got married on 10-06-12 in Jekyll Island. Planning a destination wedding was stressful at times. Emily made the process very easy. She was great to work with and allowed me to change my order 3 times as my wedding grew. She went above and beyond and help stage the beach for the ceremony at no additional charge. Her work was beautiful and she is truly a sweetheart.

Emily put together the most beautiful flowers for my wedding. I have gotten so many compliments on the bouquets. She truly brought my vision to life. Although my wedding was on the smaller side, I really appreciated that she took the time to meet with me to ensure that the flowers for my wedding were perfect. Working with Emily was great. She knew I was in a budget for flowers and she definitely was able to take that dollar a long way. We had many conference calls of discussing back and forth of what I truly wanted. She definitely understood my vision and knew how to make the flowers pop in the wedding. On the day of she used different color pink roses for everything which I thought was absolutely gorgeous! She even surprised me with many extra roses around the venue that was an added touch from her, which many many people commented on and thought they were beautiful! I definitely would recommend Emily for a bride she is very good at reading the brides thoughts and fulfilling the brides dreams with the appropriate floral arrangements!

The only thing I would have like was a personal introduction. The Flowers were delivered to the event planner, and I never got to meet the people who actually did the work. I planned my wedding from out of state, so I would have like to have thanked them in person. I loved my flowers. I did have some last minute items that were included in an email, that were not taken care of ..... I had forgotten to order flowers for my maid of honor and asked for a single stem to be added, but never received it.

Emily Burton was awesome!!! She went above and beyond to make my day special. She was very helpful w/ helping me realize and bring forth the way I wanted everything to look. She also made me feel calm about how everything was going to look and be done in time. Because of her my wedding day was beatiful and I was able to enjoy every bit of it. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to have a beautiful wedding day. She even helped me make decisions that were not just about flowers and am bery grateful for her thoughtfulness and input. Emily did a wonderful job making flowers for my wedding. She was very pleasant to work with and easy to contact. All I had to do was call her and then send her pictures of ideas I had and she was able to come up with the rest. She was great and the flowers for the whole day were amazing!

Highly Disappointed and Misled

Although Emily is an internationally known wedding planner with a 5-star rating, we were overwhelmingly disappointed with her services. I don’t usually write public reviews, but this weighed on us so much that we felt the need to warn others.

Emily arrived just 30 minutes before the wedding, without offering any help to get the bride from the bridal suite to the chapel, even though it was pouring rain. We had to handle it ourselves. There were no flowers in the church, and when we asked her, she said it wasn’t her responsibility. She also forgot to send the flower girls down the aisle, and we were left standing at the back of the church, waiting for instructions, which was embarrassing as guests were already arriving. She didn't even give the corsages and boutonnieres to all of the family.

Things didn’t improve during the reception. Emily left as the bride walked down the aisle to deal with a generator issue at the reception venue, with no plan for getting the bride to the car without getting soaked. Once at the reception, we found out a family member had fixed the fuse, but Emily told the band not to play for the first two hours and didn’t tell us about the fix. Meanwhile, she had thrown the slideshow (which had 250 photos of the couple) onto a couch.

Even though the reception looked beautiful thanks to the bride’s detailed instructions, the night was saved by the grace of the couple, the photographer, and the atmosphere—not by Emily. It could have been a total disaster without their efforts. Emily did have everything setup and ready for the guests; however, the order of events during the reception had a two hour lull with guests mingling and making the best of it and enjoying the beautiful se-tup the bride and groom had worked so hard to detail for everyone.

We feel completely misled by her glowing reviews, and I urge anyone considering hiring her to think twice.

Floral Designer Disaster....
I signed the contract in February and told her that there would probably be some changes because we weren’t sure about ushers, flower girls etc and would finalize those numbers closer to the date. So about a month before the wedding they send me a contract and I modify it to fit the number which included an additional flower girl and 3 ushers and cake flowers. Other than an email reminder that I needed to sign the updated contract and pay 2 weeks before the wedding there was no other contact with me.
On my wedding day I was told that I didn't have 3 flower girls in the contract or 3 ushers, so I had to produce the contract I signed to get that corrected. The flowers were very wilted and not what we had agreed to in the contract (Blinged out). It was a mess, the swirly petal aisle I wanted wasn't thick like it should have been and why I had to pay $350 extra. Just a horrible experience with a totally unprofessional business. Be warned not worth the money.
