Highly recommend! Adrian, Myra, and Miguel were with us for 10 hours during our wedding and they were the absolute dream team. They were attentive, while being very respectful. We trust that they didn’t miss a single shot but their presence didn’t take away from any special moment. If you were looking for them, they were always there - already pointing their cameras where you’d want them to, but they managed to do it in a way that was never distracting or disruptive. They helped us stick to our timeline, but were also very flexible. They coached us through posing and while we typically aren’t the most comfortable in front of cameras, they truly made the entire experience so fun.
We can’t wait to see the final project. Adrian also shot our engagement photos, which we used for our wedding website, invitations, and reception decor, and the photos received so many compliments. Book the full package - photography, videography, and the Photo Booth. You won’t regret it.

We hired Jonathan from Emerald Cinema Weddings as our videographer and he blew us away. He climbed around Donner Summit in high winds to get the aerial shots we had our hearts set on and ended up sacrificing his drone to make it happen. That’s the kind of dedication you don’t come across often and we can't thank him enough for doing that. Beyond that, he brought so much positive energy and gave us just the right amount of direction to feel confident and relaxed in front of the camera. Thank you Jonathan for giving it everything you had to capture our day the way we dreamed. -

Emerald Cinema was fantastic for my wedding in January 2022.
Approachability:
Jonathan and his team was very approachable and organized. He displayed professionalism in all levels of communication, and made sure that you, as a stressed-out couple planning for the big day, would not be stressed out when it came to videography. I asked a lot of technical questions regarding his equipment, shooting style, and how his workflow on the day of. He was very passionate and transparent with his work, and I really appreciated that a lot from him.
Communication:
Jonathan has multiple ways to contact him. He was very prompt in all my questions and concerns. As the day nears (probably 1-2 months), there will be back-and-forth and expectations on what you should have prepared, so he can have a general understanding of your itinerary. Most of his bookkeeping is done digitally: such as digital contracts, e-mail reminders, forms, and payment portals. He organized a neat way to ensure you have things prepared for him and your big day.
Videography:
Jonathan is very talented and he'll make sure to capture your day in the best way possible. Depending on the packages you choose, you can have different shots such as: drone shots, Steadicam shots, up to 4 different angles, and good taste on choosing the type of B-roll shots for your edits. Given his long-time experience, he knows which shots to take for your edits. His editing process is very robust, and he will produce you quality edits. I think his color-grading will be dependent on the lighting of the area, but it's still satisfactory. I had some minor things I wanted fixed, and he made sure to address those issues. To be more clear, I'm quite a picky person when it comes to video since I edit videos myself. He did a great job and it was just as expected!
Working with Photographers:
One of the key things I asked Jonathan is his adaptability with other photographers. Given his profession, he's worked with countless photographers, and he himself would lead the photography if you choose his combo packages, so he knows the deal. He got along with my photographers really well, and they all had a great time. He communicated with them to ensure he doesn't get in certain photo shots (like during ceremony, reception, grand exit, etc.).
Worth it?:
Yes. I think he provided excellent services, with little stress. That's what made it ultimately worth it. I really enjoyed working with Jonathan and his team, and I'm so appreciative I can relive the experience of my wedding day forever on film, beautifully.
My advice if you choose Emerald Cinema:
Make sure you let Jonathan know what is most important to you. A videographer-specific itinerary would help lay out key things. If you have things you want fixed from his edits, lay it out specifically and when specifically, so that way he can get it to you as soon as possible.Emerald Cinema's reply:

Hiring Emerald Cinema for our videography was the best decision! If you are on the fence on whether or not to have a videographer - I can tell you first hand that it is absolutely worth it. The day goes by so quickly and we are beyond grateful to have footage of our guests and all of the beautiful moments from such a special day! They are true professionals and we barely knew they were filming most of the night. The quality of their videos are top notch and the value you receive for the price paid is the best we have found. We can’t reccomend them enough! From the first consultation to receiving the video, the entire process was seemless! We did a lot of research before selecting a videographer. We noticed that the quality, package options, and pricing was the absolute best compared to the competitors. We got the video today and cried all over again! We could not have been more blown away by Emerald Cinema. Jonathan was one of our videographers and was so organized, calm and fun, he made getting ready for the wedding a blast. During the ceremony and at the reception, he seemed to capture every important moment, yet felt like he was in the background and letting everyone party and have a great time. The final video surpassed every expectation we had. It was delivered to us in less than three weeks, and Jonathan was more than happy to edit anything we needed or wanted. We have watched it countless times already and look forward to watching it for years to come. We had 2 shooter the day of the wedding, and they both arrived on time, and got straight to work. Everyone from the planning / admin stages were also great to work with. They kept us up to date on any changes and timeline edits as well. All around a great company, and loved their work! -

We got married in August, and I can't even put into words how amazing E.C. was to work with. From the booking, to final consult, to day of, they exceeded our expectations above and beyond! We had 2 videographers that arrived promptly, were so friendly and fun to work with, and listened to everything I was wanting to see in our video. They were sure to keep us updated during their time at our wedding, while also letting us enjoy our day. To make it better, we received our video so quickly, without compromising the quality. I had given Amy very little direction in what we were hoping the video would be, but she understood and the team delivered! My husband was super skeptical about hiring a videographer, so we ended up searching for one only 2 weeks before the wedding. We are so grateful that we found and hired Emerald Cinema. The whole team is perfect. A scheduler got back to me within 1 hour of my first email, and she was incredibly available and responsive. I loved their selection of music for our video. On my wedding day, they were on time, professional, so friendly, and somehow managed to blend into the scene, even with all of their equipment and lights. I loved that they were flexible with their packages and plans, and that we were able to get a hard drive of the raw footage. Most importantly, I am IN LOVE with our final product!!! They captured exactly what we wanted from our wedding day - the wild dancing, emotional vows, poignant toasts, and the all encompassing love and excitement from our family and friends. it took us the longest time to hire a wedding videographer among all of our wedding vendors. After sampling from many different companies, we decided to take a chance with Emerald Cinema. We must say that, that decision is truly the best decision we made for our wedding. The team is simply amazing. We received outstanding service from our initial conversations, and throughout the wedding planning process they answered our questions patiently and professionally. Not only did they arrive on time on the day of the wedding, they also finished taking the drone shot prior to our contracted time began despite it being their first time working at the venue - they must have arrived way earlier to scout around. In less than a month, we received our highlight video. Due to a miscommunication and misunderstanding, we weren’t entirely satisfied with our video, so we raised our concerns to the operation manager Jonathan. He patiently listened to our feedback and went the extra mile to work with us and redo the video to our liking. The revised video went above and beyond our expectations. We have watched the video over a hundred times and still feel very touched every time we watch it. A few of our friends even cried after watching it. My wife and I feel very fortunate to have hired such company that truly cares about their customers. They put in their best ability to make sure that the wedding video is indeed what the customer likes. We are beyond satisfied - we know we made the right choice. Thank you for making such great product that we will cherish for a lifetime! -

I can't recommend them enough! I initially chose them because I watched every video they've posted (literally) and I loved every one. I chose the short video and I am so incredibly happy with how it turned out! They were extremely responsive to my communication prior to the wedding, very organized, and on time the day of. I was able to send them examples of videos I liked and they followed all of my requests that I wanted included (like music, what I wanted included in my short video, certain shots, etc.). Our 5 minute video perfectly captured the feel of the day, from start to finish. And we got our video 2 or 3 weeks after the wedding, which was impressive. With photo and video, you get what you pay for and Emerald Cinema was well priced and worth every penny! -

Emerald has been such a pleasure to work with. I am the worst type of customer there is- the type that never checks their emails, responds weeks, if not months later, and still has the nerve to bring up revisions! Working with our videographers at our wedding was easy and fun, and when we got our video is was beautiful. Being the annoying customer that I am, I brought up points that I wanted removed in the video and replaced with other footage and they were SO amazing about it. I want to be clear that it wasn't any lack of creativity or editing from the editors, but there were just other moments that were more special to us as a couple. They were completely understanding and did just as we asked! I especially want to thank Amy, who was so incredibly kind, patient, understanding, and relatable every single time we talked. We absolutely will refer our friends to your team. Thank you!! -

Emerald Cinema provided photography and videography services for our Chinese American wedding in May. We got all our photos and videos within 4 weeks and we are very happy with how everything came out. It was pleasant working with the team since day one. Amy was quick to respond to our inquiry- she was very patient with all my questions and concerns and worked with us to choose the right package for our wedding. We had a few phone conferences during the weeks leading up to the wedding. They helped us with our timeline and gave us tips on how to make the day run smoothly and to ensure we get all the shots we wanted. We are camera shy and don't like too much attention, but on the day of the wedding, they did such a great job directing and making sure we were comfortable in front of the camera. There was a language barrier with our Chinese speaking guests and we had a few hiccups when things didn't go exactly according to our timeline. However the team remained professional and patient. We love the candid moments they got on film! We are really happy with the final product. It's been a month since we got our video and photos. We still can't stop watching it all the time! -

Where do I even begin!! Emerald Cinema made our wedding photograph dreams come true!! We had the privilege of work with Jonathon on our big day. Cancellation after cancellation, due to the shut down my husband and I FINALLY got married in July 2020 at Lake Tahoe. We chose Emerald Cinema because of all the videos I watched on their website. The videos were like a movie that captured all the details and beautiful moments in the weddings they captured. We could not have chosen a better videographer! They arrived on time and were extremely professional and kind. Our video was ready so quickly and we are obsessed with it! They edited it so beautifully. Our raw footage of the wedding was better than I anticipated. You could hear our pastor very well with the mics they placed. I highly recommend this company for your wedding! -

Emerald Cinema saves the day! Our wedding was drastically affected by COVID-19 and we had to reschedule not just once, but twice! E.C. was there helping us the entire process. They even came and filmed our small ceremony we had with our immediate family While we wait until 2021 for our regular wedding. The video they created was incredible and while there are many sad and crazy things happening right now, this was a welcome beacon of happiness! Emerald Cinema Videography is absolutely amazing. They are so prompt, organized, punctual and professional from the very first day you have contact with them until the very end when your videos are finalized and sent over to you. Our Videographer Jonathan was amazing and so personable and got such great video clips of our special day. The post-wedding film editing process was also so smooth and the highlight reel and actual video came out so perfect and exactly how we wanted it thank to the help of the video editors and Robert. My husband and I grappled with whether or not to book videography. We had contacted several places, including Emerald Cinema, 12-18 months before our wedding, but had thought we should save the money. However, only 6 months prior to our wedding, I decided that we might regret it if we don’t get video, and I reached out to Emerald Cinema again, slightly panicked, to see if they had availability for our wedding. And they did! What I loved about Emerald Cinema and ultimately the reason we ended up going with them was that they were incredibly accommodating and responsive, and you could pay for different packages with the ability to add on services AFTER the wedding. We ended up paying for just the basic package before the wedding. Our videographer was Ricardo, and he was incredible. He was so nice, and he worked so well with our photographer. He checked in with us and directed us when we needed it, but mostly we had no idea he was even there. We were so pleased. We received our raw wedding footage only a few days after our wedding and have absolutely loved going through it. Ricardo did a great job capturing all our big moments, and we are so happy we decided to book videography. We now get to relive those moments, such as our wedding vows and the amazing speeches our family gave, and see things we didn’t get to see, such as parts of cocktail hour and the bridal party walking down the aisle. We couldn’t be more thrilled with Emerald Cinema, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for videography! -

My husband and I used Emerald for our wedding in Sacramento, CA and we were very happy with the work they did! They were extremely knowledgeable about their job and were very easy to communicate with and work with. The gave us a finished product (5 minute highlight reel and 15 minute feature film wedding video) 6 weeks after our wedding day and we were so happy with how it turned out! Your wedding day goes by so quickly and there are a lot of special moments that you might miss. Emerald Cinema Videography was AMAZING. We were a touch apprehensive because we didn’t do an in-person meeting like we did with all of our other vendors, but our videographer, Ricardo, was fantastic day-of. He worked with our photographers to capture all of the important moments without getting in the still shots we really wanted. It is a complex jenga to get good videography and photography at the same time because of competing concerns, and Ricardo was patient and thoughtful and really tolerant of the photographers needs. We also asked him to film short interviews with our wedding party and he accommodated this request without question and we are so appreciative that he accommodated this out-of-the-box request. We had a very easy process with Emerald Cinema leading up to the day. After you sign, you fill out a form detailing your wedding schedule and any special requests. Our final products were a highlight video of 3.5 min and a Feature Film video of 35 min and both are professional and really well edited. Everything is very polished and professional from start to finish. We are so, so happy that we have such a lovely video of our day to share with family. -

Highly recommended! My husband and I are so pleased that we decided to hire Emerald Cinema to shoot our wedding. They were professional, easy to work with, affordable, and exceeded our expectations in every regard. Jonathan and his team integrated really well with our wedding photographer, and were able to get great footage. Their editing style is also very creative and unique, so it felt like we were watching a film rather than a wedding video. They were more than accommodating and patient with us, which we really appreciated. Ultimately Jonathan was just as concerned as we were with getting everything to be perfect as we were, which I take as a mark of quality.

Jonathan was a life saver!! I reached out to Emerald Cinema very last minute , I know my own fault . Luck be had ,I found one of the most Amazing camera crews , great video quality. This company came through with only a 3 day notice and gave myself and loved ones the captured memories we were looking for. If you are need of quality production definitely get ahold of Emerald Cinema !!

The day went by so fast, but here I was able to revisit some of the best moments thanks to Chris! Our videographer captured so many moments that looking back brought tears and chills. Chris captured these moments with a creative eye and Jonathan was able to put it together with great flow. My husband was not sure about Videography so I worked diligently to find an affordable and talented company, which I did. Price was reasonable, we were able to compromise this expense as a couple and I’m so grateful we did! Thanks again for such great work, we received a lot of compliments!!! -

Extra Footage
Emerald Cinema was absolutely incredible throughout the entire planning process! They were so responsive and were ready to answer any questions we had. They were at the venue early to catch footage of the grounds before coming to start with us, which was a nice touch in the video. Our videographer worked so hard to capture every aspect of the wedding, and we are forever grateful! Our highlight and full length video was ready about 6 weeks after the wedding, and we have watched them every day since receiving them. If you are on the fence about a videographer, go with Emerald Cinema, you will not be disappointed! -

We had the most amazing experience working with Jonathan and his team at Emerald Cinema. From the moment we had our first phone interview Jonathan put me at ease about one of the biggest financial decisions dealing with the wedding. His work speaks for itself, but if I do have to say a few words I will tell you this, his professionalism is unwavering, their attention to detail is phenomenal you can see it in every one of their videos. They really take the time to get to know you as a couple and to find out the most important things to you regarding what you want captured on one of the most important days of your life. I really can not sing Emerald Cinema praises enough! On the day of our wedding we met with Jonathan’s team and they were the kindest most fun people to work with. They were able to capture every moment of our special day without ever being in the way or intruding. In fact my husband said to me yesterday it’s crazy how you never even noticed they were there, and that in my opinion speaks volumes to their craft! I am so beyond in love with our wedding videos from the Emerald Cinema they have surpassed every expectation I ever had or could have imagined for our big day! Jonathan is great. While he provides an incredible value, he does not sacrifice quality. If you look in the background of pictures from the wedding, you can see Jonathan capturing every moment. He was focused but friendly, professional and easy to work with and ultra responsive/flexible. He has a true passion for what he does and it comes through in the videos he makes. You wont be upset with his work and it wont cost you an arm and a leg to have your big day captured for a lifetime. Cannot recommend Emerald Cinema enough! -

Working with Jonathan was amazing! We were referred to him through a mutual friend, and had nothing but a great experience with him and his team. They were professional, affordable, prompt, very kind and fun to be around. One of my favorite elements of our wedding was when Jonathan surprised us with bringing his drone. I can’t say enough nice things about Emerald Cinema. Jonathan the owner was wonderful to work with, always prompt with his correspondence, and made an effort to really get to know us to make our footage feel like ours. Well we just had our wedding on 9/27/19, and received our wedding video right on schedule! Even more beautiful than I could ever imagine! Since it was the best day of our lives and everyone else was saying how great it was, we’ve probably sent the link to nearly half the wedding attendants so far and have had most of them in tears. They’re all so impressed by the beautiful cinematography and many said they’ve never seen anything like it. Our videographer for the day, Jonathan was fantastic at his job—so kind, professional and talented. If anyone planning their wedding right now is wondering if they really need a videographer the answer is you do and you should hire Emerald Cinema. We were engaged for over two years and the whole wedding day goes by so much faster than you realize, and then all of a sudden your hard work and planning is over. Jonathan and his team at Emerald Cinema were amazing from the beginning. I needed a wedding video on a a short notice. I called so many videographers and researched many more and I finally landed on their website. I was blown away and called them right away. They were professionals, Nadine one their receptionist was very informative and understanding of what we needed for our event.
During the event they maintained a low profile, little did I know that they were filming something that could easily be confused as a full feature music video with a massive filming budget.
I would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
